Find A Song über Jugendliche ohne Perspektive

TRiPKiD - Kids Am Block

Während Roadtrip und Lange Lebe Tripkid ursprünglich noch unter dem alten Namen Antiheld herausgegeben wurden, ist Kids Am Block der erste Song des Debut Albums (Release am 02.02.2024), der unter dem neuen Namen - und ohne Plattenfirma - veröffentlicht wurde.

Wie Frontmann Luca erklärte, hat sich die Band so verändert bzw. weiter entwickelt, dass sich der Name Antiheld nicht mehr richtig anfühlte. Und tatsächlich war über die letzten Alben hin bereits eine Tendenz zu immer härterer Musik mit immer wütenderen Texten zu beobachten.

Ich habe den Eindruck, dass, wenn nicht alle, so doch die große Mehrheit Fans - so wie ich - dies unterstützen. Trotzdem hoffe ich, dass zumindest manche Antiheld-Songs, die bereits in Richtung TRiPKiD gingen, noch live gespielt werden (Tourdaten). Album ist vorbestellt, Tickets für Frankfurt und Saarbrücken auch 😊

oh my god i forgot to post my absolute favorite strip from gay comix (issue #2, 1981)

#this collection is full of so many hilarious vignettes #between the fictional and biographical they range from hilarious to saddening but theyre all candid looks at #lgbt life in the 60s 70s and 80s #id recommend it if you're interested in older underground work #edit: for ppl who notice the opening blurb i will say this: #1. Many artists in the underground comix scene (yes the lgbt ones too) delighted in being overly provocative for the sake of it #hence the cringeworthy 'political unity is not the goal' line #2. i worried abt this too when i started going thru the issues but there are quite a few strips and comics focusing on the trans experience #that said. there are unfortunately not a lot of transgender artists involved in this collection #3. given the preceding two points i think its fair to say that a good chunk of the strips in gay comix just. Suck #but like they actually said it's important that we're capable of recognizing that a full 40 years down the line #so we can actually learn something from the life experiences the mistakes and even the lack of perspective tht sm of these artists displayed #nocturnal writings

Sure :] Cameron (right) is a barista living in her hometown with her younger sister she and is not thrilled about any of these things. Ari (left) writes articles about paranormal/hokey true crime stuff for a buzzfeed-knockoff type of website after quitting her phd. Theyre both mid-20s and also both gay but Cameron is very closeted

Ari's phd program was in vertebrate evolution, specifically feline phylogenetics, which segues into my worldbuilding that I've also wanted to talk about lol. All the characters in this world are based on cats from subfamily Felinae – basically all small wildcats combined into one sapient species instead of humans. The characters I've designed so far are inspired by specific cats (Cameron is based on a serval and Ari on a pampas cat) but I'm not trying to stick too closely to that since they're all meant to be the same species from a worldbuilding perspective. No domestic cats (furry or animal) but regular big cats are still a thing, basically akin to great apes vs humans. Anthropomorphic cougars and cheetahs are a thing but are extinct, like extinct hominids. Basically my effort to shove cats into a human evolution parallel lol

grooming is a tactic where someone methodically builds a trusting relationship with a child or young adult, their family, and community to manipulate, coerce, or force the child or young adult to engage in sexual activities.

1. Choosing a victim - The predator often chooses a child who is obviously vulnerable. Children who are withdrawn, low on confidence, emotionally deprived and with less parental supervision are particularly at risk.

2. Building access & trust - Sexual abuse often begins with friendship. The abuser can also take on other roles such as a romantic partner, a mentor, a caregiver or an authority figure. The abuser spends time in getting to know the victim's likes, dislikes and habits and pretending to share common interests. The perpetrator establishes trust with the child by making them feel special, sometimes through gifts or excessive compliments and attention. This is especially dangerous for vulnerable children who do not experience attention in their daily lives. In the trust development stage, offenders aim to develop a trusting friendship or relationship with their victim. This can involve several tactics, including:

a) praising the child for their maturity and intelligence;

b) encouraging the child to disclose personal information;

c) syncing their language with that of the child;

d) highlighting mutuality (i.e., similar interests, attitudes and behaviors between the offender and child); and finally,

e) portraying themselves as being trustworthy and nice.

3. Filling a need with gifts & favors - Giving the victim small gifts and favours is a strategy used by perpetrators to make the child feel indebted. Trust is further built by sharing intimate life details, going on special outings and giving the child access to things they normally wouldn’t get. Once the offender has identified a child’s needs, they will try to be the “hero” to the child who gives them what they desire. Examples include gifts, extra attention, or affection. This causes the child to see them as highly important and even idolized. They won’t want to upset them in risk of not getting the void in their life fulfilled.

4. Isolating - The groomer actively tries to isolate the child from people who may be watchful or helpful. This kind of isolation creates deeper connection & dependency. The offender also exhibits exemplary behaviour before parents of the victim & manipulates them into trusting the relationship. They will use this trust to create situations in which they are alone with the child. Time spent alone also reinforces the “special connection” the child feels they have with the offender. This “special connection” is further reinforced when the offender convinces the child that they love and appreciate them more than anyone else.

5. Initiating sexual contact - With the power over the child victim established through emotional connection coercion or one of the other tactics, the perpetrator may eventually initiate physical contact with the victim. It may begin with touching that is not overtly sexual (though a predator may find it sexually gratifying) and that may appear to be casual (arm around the shoulder, pat on the knee, etc.). Gradually, the perpetrator may introduce more sexualized touching. By breaking down inhibitions and desensitizing the child, the perpetrator can begin overtly touching the child. At this stage, the offender will exploit a child’s natural curiosity through physical touch and excitement. They will begin to teach the child sexual preferences and manipulate what the child responds to. The child begins to see themselves as a sexual being prematurely and the relationship with the offender now takes on a sexual term.

6. Post-abuse maintenance - The goal of the final stage is to ensure the child remains trapped in the cycle of abuse and loyal to the abuser, by either reinforcing and maintaining trust in order to prevent disclosure, or by explicitly threatening or blackmailing the child or their loved ones. This can also be reinforced and maintained by, for instance, giving the child affection, praise or encouragement for one’s actions.

“You’ll get a cold.” The villain took off their jacket and put it around the hero’s shoulders and as their fingers brushed against the hero’s bare shoulders, both seemed to hesitate for a moment.

“It’s alright, really,” the hero said, laughing awkwardly. And despite their desire to convince both of them that it wasn’t a big deal, they put their arms into the sleeves and pulled the jacket closer. Its smell reminded the hero of their enemy’s bed, of takeout shared in the living room after a rough session and admittedly of the intimacy they yearned for.

“Although I can’t use my telepathy anymore, I’m pretty sure you were freezing. Your whole body was shaking.” It was quite tragic, wasn’t it? To be stripped of your powers. The hero thought about it often and though it hadn’t left physical scars, the hero knew how tormented the villain actually was.

Being destined for greatness hadn’t made the villain untouchable. And neither was the hero. In fact, maybe this privilege, this destiny made them so vulnerable in the first place. Potential and opportunity — what if someone took these things? What would be left?

“You’re very sweet,” the hero said. It was a long walk to the hero’s apartment and since the hero refused to pay for a taxi, the villain made sure to bring them back. Every time.

“If I want to.”

“No, you can’t really control kindness. You’re very sweet. That’s who you are.” The hero looked along the many houses, stretching into the endlessness of the city. God, they never quite knew how to treat the villain when they were alone like this. Sleeping with each other was easy, but this type of exposure was something else.

Somehow, this was an opportunity, too. Most of the time, they talked about nothing in particular but every now and then one of them dropped their guard. Those moments were precious to the hero.

“I’m not gonna mention my body count.” The hero smiled softly. They were close to the hero’s house now.

“I thought your body count is one.”

“Not that body count,” the villain said and when the hero looked at them, they saw a blush on their stoic enemy’s face. God, what a sight. “Christ, you drive me crazy sometimes.”

The villain stopped and looked at the hero for a moment. They wanted to say something, but didn’t.

“What is it?”

“Do you think I’m ruined?” they asked, rather helplessly. Shifting to serious topics was becoming a natural habit. The hero loved it. “Do you think it ruined me when they…you know, took my powers?”

“No,” the hero answered immediately. “No. I…honestly, I believe you lost your way. You lost purpose and a part of yourself. But I don’t think it ruined you. I think you just needed a new purpose.”

The villain stared at them again. They were good at this, staring and saying nothing. Silently, they agreed on continuing their walk.

“I always told myself that if I still had my powers, I’d be a better person. I always told myself that if it hadn’t been for that one thing, I would be perfect. I managed to convince myself that I couldn’t possibly be better than I am, due to the circumstances. But maybe I was just afraid of trying to be good and failing. That’s why I didn’t try at all.”

“Well, that’s the thing. You’re not a bad person. You’re trying to be one but that’s not what you are.” The hero looked at them and, god, the villain’s eyes sucked them in. “You’re wonderful. You just didn’t get that back then.”

They arrived at the hero’s doorstep.

“You really think that?” The hero searched for their keys, so they were surprised when they looked up and found the villain incredibly close to them.

“Uhhh…I think so yeah. Your powers had potential, yes. But it’s not this one thing, this one goddamn thing that decides over what you could be. I think it’s dedication and it’s desire, it’s love and it’s inspiration. It’s something you decide, it’s something you make. I have the potential to save this world but if I am dedicated to saving just this one person…” Their gaze dropped to the villain’s lips. “…then maybe I don’t need to save the world.”

The villain kissed them hard and the hero could barely ask them if they wanted to come up with them.

Of course, the villain said yes.
