ill be honest as much as i love to criticise the use of fatphobia for comedy ill never be able to hold the fatphobic jokes in kung fu panda against it

like yea those movies are guilty of dipping into The Usual Tropes for a cheap laugh but not only is the character writing for the fat characters the strongest and most sympathetic ive Ever seen literally just the character designs of the pandas in the 3rd movie get me choked up sometimes. theyre all so appealing and clearly treated with the same care and attention as everyone else without copping out and making them Barely Fat. po is already a size that doesnt exist in film protags and hes still the thinnest person in that whole village and that meant a lot to me

#i havent seen the movies in ages but the design of the ribbon dancer is sooo . AUGH #like not just to have that many fat characters but have them be REALLY fat without being treated as ugly or nasty #OR THEIR FATNESS BEING TEMPORARY !!! its their natural state thats how theyre meant to look!!!!#its easy to get caught in the thinking of like. having fat characters be a minority in a lineup to reflect 'real life'#EVEN THO that isnt always true but regardless #having a cast where the nonfat characters are so few and far between theyre hardly present at all. so fucking enriching 2 me #imo writing-wise the third one is by far the weakest but it still is just so important to me that they designed the pandas like that #can i kfp post on main is that allowed #idk i watched a video essay im emotional abt this again

Short silly Drabble but Biker Deuce.

Him waiting outside your door leaning on his motorbike all cool-like, but fumbling and falling over when he hears the door open. Deuce can’t help it! You appeared so suddenly, that his heart is racing at insane speeds.

Well, now that you’re in front of him, it’s pounding for an entirely different reason. A passionate beat, a rapid salsa dancing against his ribcage. With his cheeks flushed red, Deuce quite literally drags you on his bike, placing his helmet over your head. His gloved hands brush against the curve of your face as Deuce tightens or loosens the buckles, fixing them together with a sharp click.

Hey, he wouldn’t want you to get hurt on his watch. Tapping on the brim of his helmet, you see his lips curl up into a sheepish, boyish smile. You look…. Good, with his helmet.

It fits you.

These words leave his lips in quiet mutters, before Deuce’s eyes widen, and his cheeks flare a scarlet red. He said that out loud, did he? Urm, just forget it all!

He’s going to force himself to face forward after that, reviving up his motorbike. Yet even within all his embarrassment, Deuce still searches for your hands, fastening them around his waist. It’s an… added layer of security, don’t worry about it. Just to make sure you don’t go flying off, a piece of paper in the wind.

As you clutch on his jacket, lean a little closer. Maybe you’ll catch the poor love-sick boy’s whispered words:

“You can hold on a little tighter, actually.

Hold me closer, please.”

#my art #cotl #cotl lamb #catch me getting really fucking carried away with doing design concepts for the fleeces #but yeah this is how i like to draw the standard lambo fleece #i added the fucking uh. collar?? cowl????? thingy simply because i wanted a cult leaders Official Outfit to have a little more ooomph #also i was contemplating how the fleece held together at the neck and decided a tie at the front would look nice #the collar of the fleece goes over the collar of the bell but the ribbon ties underneath the bell #also i decided right away i wanted the fleece to have five points :) so im always pretty consistent with the hemline #i should do a thingy for the tunic i designed to go under the fleece but for this i wanted to focus instead on the embroidery designs

whoever edited that bsd official art to make it look like chuuya is holding onto dazai’s arm will be put on trial for irrevocably changing my brain chemistry and making me so much worse

the original and the edit in question. this artwork really makes me crave a mid to late 19th century historical au where Chuuya is a swordsman struggling with changes to his job due to the meiji restoration and with Dazai as a detective/private investigator who hires Chuuya as his bodyguard when a seemingly harmless investigation turns dangerous. they kind of hate each other (as per usual) but Chuuya needs the job and Dazai, while he proclaims to dislike chuuya, is also very smitten with chuuya’s fighting style and temper (as per usual).
