Femme Fatale Guide: How To Master The Art of Self-Validation & Stop Caring What Others Think
Remember that you have the longest relationship with yourself in this life. Friends, family, lovers, partners, spouses, mentors, etc. will come and go. Ultimately, though, you have to live with the consequences of your actions for the longest – whether they be positive or negative.
Everyone is self-centered to a certain degree. No one cares about your happiness as much or is watching you as closely as you are. They all have themselves and their lives to worry about. People are paying attention to their own self-interests (or want you to accomplish things to boost their own credibility or self-esteem). Being your greatest personal cheerleader is the only way to fully give yourself the praise and spotlight you deserve for your accomplishments.
Self-confidence is magnetic. It is the secret to showing up as your best self in all areas of life. Being secure in yourself makes you a better friend, family member, lover, partner, spouse, professional, conversationalist, etc. Validating yourself will make you feel good, but also radiates into every relationship or interaction in your life.
Discover what you love about yourself. Reflect on the personality traits, skillsets, and behaviors you know to be admirable about yourself. Are you constantly making others laugh? Do you get endless praise for your cooking, drawing, singing, or problem-solving skills? Would people come to you first to manage a crisis like a champion? Are you a master disciplinarian when it comes to going to the gym or reading? Do people regularly compliment your outfits or nails? Think of all of the aspects of your being that make you unique and help you to feel content with your existing, authentic self.
Take control of your life to cultivate your ideal self. While you should consistently praise your naturally admirable qualities, remember that you always can change aspects of your life that will help you feel like your best self. Know that you're in control of your decisions and have the mental freedom to think & act in any way you desire to reach any goals or implement lifestyle changes to feel like the person you feel destined to be.
Block out the noise and negative self-talk. We're (almost always!) our worst critics. Consider every new experience or interaction as a learning opportunity. Mistakes and failures are life lessons that facilitate self-reflection and opportunities for growth. Remember not to beat yourself up for past mistakes: You did the best you could with the information you had at the time. If you weren't embarrassed by your past self, you never gave yourself the chance to evolve and grow. Every success, failure, and new life stage offers its own lessons and teachable moments. Remember that we're all our own unique life paths. Comparing your life to someone else's is like comparing apples and oranges. Both entities may be fruitful but have vastly different flavor profiles, growing seasons, and rates at which they ripen. As Dita Von Tesse shrewdly said: "You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there will always be someone who hates peaches."

what’s hot rod’s relationship like with magnus? or optimus
does she ever become a prime?
Hot Rod and Ultra Magnus have a paternal relationship!
Hot Rod has always been a rebel--and a bit of a screw-up. After graduating from the Autobot training academy with less than stellar marks, she was assigned to Ultra Magnus' stewardship. The belief of higher ups was that Magnus, a disciplined former war hero, would be able to impart some good influence onto her... while also keeping her away from anything important.
Ultra Magnus isn't the best mentor, but he is really trying. He's only just recently started to let go of his paranoid, disciplinarian impulses. He believes that Hot Rod has a lot of potential. She firmly rejects this.
Hot Rod hasn't interacted much with Optimus, but she isn't the biggest fan.
As for that last part, I can't spoil anything!

Justice Desserts : revenge Whump, my beloved
Before you ask yes this is 100% stemming from my recent obsession with #painandconfusion’s series whomping the Whumper’s and my brain rotted and voila
*~*~*~*~*
Hero couldn’t quite believe their eyes when they found mentor dangling from manacles in the training room of the academy.
Every nerve in their body was set alight by the room. The dungeon. The basement.
Their room, Mentor had told them after their fourth trip down to the basement, escorted by the faceless disciplinarians. Ribs still sore from their last visit to the punishment chamber.
It was only stone now.
Cold and dark, but this time they weren’t the ones in chains. They weren’t the ones who needed to be disciplined.
No.
They schooled their features to an expression of cold indifference, an expression they had mastered in this room as they let the heavy iron door close behind them.
Mentor looked up at the sound, and Hero met their gaze with their impenetrable one.
“Hero?” Mentor asked, voice croaking and dry. Weathered, like the old man was. Their thick strands of white hair fell around their tan shoulders, tied back loosely behind them. A rattle of chains as Hero stepped closer. “My god. It is you. Thank god. Undo these restraints and help me seek justice on those who have imprisoned me.”
Hero said nothing. They just tilted their head to the side, sliding their hands into their pockets to hide the shaking.
“I don’t think I can do that, Mentor.”
Mentor blinked. “Of course you can. I believe in you, come now let’s not—“
“Let me rephrase,” said Hero, cutting Mentor off coldly. Their eyes drinking in the quiet anger that simmered below Mentor’s calm. “I’m not letting you go.”
Mentor scoffed. Their eyes following Hero as they went to the wall with the assortment of tools. All of Mentor’s favourite things to make their Mentee’s know penance and the cost of disobedience.
“Hero?”
Hero just slid their jacket off their shoulders and rolled their neck, loosening up. The tools were so indifferent. Impersonal.
Not any good.
“Hero?” Mentor asked again, voice a little less sure. Hero smiled to themselves, picking their roll of black hand bandages from their pockets and starting to slowly wrap it around their wrist and hand. The movement was methodical but didn’t require any attention on Hero’s part.
What it did instead, was let Mentor stew in fear as they watched Hero wrap their hands. Taking extra care for the padding on their knuckles.
They wanted Mentor to suffer, doesn’t mean they have to. No… they had suffered enough.
Once they finished tying the second one off they turned to Mentor. Something ghastly and unhinged in their smile they shot to Mentor.
“Hero- hero. You don’t have to do this.”
Hero tilted their head, expression blank save for that horrific smile tugging at their lips. “Do what Mentor? Train? Become stronger? Endure?”
With every word that fell from their lips Mentor seemed to pale and pale further until they were as white as a sheet with fear and Hero was standing in front of them.
“You can scream,” Hero said gently, taking Mentor’s cheek in their hand. An imitation of what Mentor had told them when they were a child. “You can cry. You can beg and plead and whine, but just know in the back of your mind… I’m only doing this to teach you. To make you stronger. To remind you of the challenges a hero must face to be disciplined.”
“Stop this, Hero! Now!” Mentor demanded, but their bottom lip quivered betraying their fear and Hero could fly on the euphoria being on the other side of those manacles was giving them.
“Let us begin, shall we?”
Then Hero threw a right hook to the corner of Mentor’s jaw. Mentor let out a short, quiet grunt at the impact as their head whipped to the side. Then Hero grabbed their chin to right Mentor’s head again. So they were looking into Hero’s bottomless eyes and seeing the monster they made of the child they abused for all those years.
“You see now?” Hero asked, voice gentle.
There was a reason Hero was the number one hero. There was a reason Villain’s ran the other way when they saw them. It wasn’t Hero’s strength, or speed, or intelligence— no it was that look in their endless eyes. A look that promised nothing.
The dangers of staring into the void too long, and there Hero stood, looking back at Mentor with that vile, empty nothing.
“You— you’re not human,” Mentor stammered, bottom lip quivering more. Hero let out a laugh at that, taking a step back.
“Mentor,” Hero said with a slight sigh, shaking their head. “Of course I’m human. You saw me bleed. You heard me plead. Though of course, I was a child then but… come on. One measly punch and you’re already weepy on me? That won’t do…”
“Hero… I’m— I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry, I—“
Hero’s smile turned genuine for a moment, and Mentor’s heart pounded against their chest.
“I don’t want your apologies, Mentor,” said Hero, voice kind. “I want you dead, at my feet, after years upon tears of suffering from your training I hope to educate you on. You will be breathing, and alive in some aspect of the word but you— your repentance is never something I wanted from you. You old fool.”
Hero let out a small laugh at the mere thought of Mentor apologising, then that look settled dark over their face, over their smile like a shadow. As if the devil himself had taken hold of Hero’s body.
Hero stepped in close again and drew their fist back, something like righteousness shining in their gaze. “Now let’s give you something to cry about, hmm?”

Hello! Mama Emeritus anon here. So glad I finally caught your box! I'll try to be specific this time. Let's presume that Papas I-III are not dead. Somehow, Nihil has finally sired the little girl he has always wanted. How do the Papas I-IV deal with having a little sister so much younger than them? What activities do they like to do with her? etc. Thank you!
Thank you for resubmitting! I hope these are what you are looking for! :)
I’m going to go back and forth with names, but expect each Papa to be called Papa and Primo/Secondo/Terzo for ease. I’ll call the daughter Mama for this, as I don’t want this to read so much as an OC and more like an open template for a character type.
I normally write as if all the Papas are still alive, but I’m going to add some background for this particular prompt. In this situation, all of the Papas are not only alive but know Copia is their baby brother. Copia is still getting used to being a part of the family after being estranged. The new baby’s prime mover in this scenario is only present sometimes; as prime movers have a choice to raise their children or let them be solely adopted by the Emeritus.
I also included their reactions and jumping around a little to ages.
Papa’s with a New Baby Sister
Papa Nihil + Sister Imperator: Papa Nihil is so ecstatic to have a little baby girl, his youngest even if he was practically ancient! The only thing, thankfully, keeping him alive is that this was a child APPROVED by Sister Imperator. No one is quite sure why she would allow Nihil to have one more child when she wants Copia to succeed so badly. Speculation includes needing an extra heir in case of her son’s failure or that the ministry DEMANDED one more heir… after all, none of the boys have sired children yet. Nihil didn’t mind any gender, he’s just happy to be a new dad again! Nihil is much more mellow and attentive to his daughter (much to the annoyance of all of his children.) Sister is also quite pleased that there is a new potential Mama, if not the next Imperator. Imperator is much more relaxed raising the child than she was with Copia. Nihil dotes on her but Imperator is definitely the disciplinarian. Mama is going to be raised by Sister to rule with an iron fist and take no shit!
Papa I: Does what he’s always done and immediately dedicates some of his time to being her mentor. Papa was NOT happy Nihil decided to have another child for many reasons. The Grandpapa being more relaxed as an old codger did not put Primo at ease. Papa takes his job as the eldest and most gifted of the Emeritus brothers very seriously. He vows to raise and teach Mama the way he did for his two brothers (except Copia for obvious reasons.) Papa was both there during the birth and conducted her unholy baptism ceremony. There was never doubt in his mind he could love her, as he loved all of his brothers and their shared bond. He’s a firm but knowledgeable mentor to her from her grade school days. They usually bonded over her favorite school subjects and his willingness to pause his Papal duties to tutor her. Papa had the same sense of pride for when she graduates seminary, takes her vows, and eventually becomes Mama.
Papa II: Absolutely wanted nothing to do with Mama when she was born. It was nothing personal, but she is Nihil’s problem and responsibility. Papa already has to deal with Copia being dragged into their dysfunctional family. As a Papa he just sent the congratulatory bottle of wine and flower arrangement. If it wasn’t for Primo asking, Papa would have ignored his new sister altogether. Secondo eventually came around when Mama was a toddler. He won’t admit it, but she was damn adorable. Though the two don’t have as strong of a relationship until she is out of Seminary as an adult. That’s when Papa feels he can bond with her and have actual conversations. He slowly goes from a distant uncle like figure to a proper brother. Papa gives her much needed unbiased advice, and typically serves it blunt and without babying her. Which is appreciated the higher she climbs the ministry ladder. Papa will never admit that he’s happy to watch her grow into a strong and capable Mama, despite having an idiot for a father. Fun fact, he taught Mama how to drive and gifted her her first car from his own collection.
Papa III: Papa was a huge brat about it at first, even if he tried to hide it. He was used to being the baby of the family for almost six decades before Copia showed up. Now he has to be the MIDDLE child?? Despite being told to act like a grown man, Papa insists he won’t care about the baby AT ALL! He will be nice, he will just not take on Nihil’s newest child… until he holds her for the first time. Papa is instantly smitten with his baby sister, almost like she was his own daughter! Gushing about how she was adorable and HE was going to give her the life she deserved. Papa is a very attentive and loving big brother, almost like a second dad. He never wanted his own children and this is like his chance to have one. He’s there for almost every milestone and spoils the shit out of Mama. From matching outfits, to shopping trips, to traveling. Even to the not so fun times of heart break, of question faith and her place in the world. Papa just wants her to have the father figure he never did. They do everything together (which is both convenient AND annoying to Nihil.) His favorite is taking her out for ice cream so they can talk. He does this even when she’s an old lady and he’s practically ancient.
Papa IV/Copia: Admittedly, this was very difficult for him and somewhat bittersweet. The news of Nihil’s Mover having a child put him through a bit of a self doubt spiral. Copia felt very pushed out when he was barely in the family to begin with. Now he’s being replaced? Copia still went to the birth to meet his new sister. He didn’t want to hold her but the moment he did his heart changed. There was still the conflict of wanting to get rid of an heir that could take his place… but Copia wanted to be a better big brother. Copia wanted to help love and raise a baby sister that would NEVER have to go through the pain and loneliness he did. Even as a toddler, Mama has Copia wrapped around her finger. He is there for crayon coloring, tea parties, and taking her to get candy and toys. The little princess wants for NOTHING as long as he’s around! Their bond grows closer when she’s a teenager. Copia is the brother she confides her insecurities and fears too, as he’s so much more open about his own.

Snippet - Forward, but Never Forget/XOXO - A Sense of Farce
Tumblr media
Silco remembers a first meeting...
Forward, but Never Forget/XOXO on AO3
The Lanes in those days seethed with disorder, mostly theft and violence. A slow crawl of refugees clogged the streets. Some gravitated to the caverns below; others to the low-rent districts above. Many took to the Lanes themselves, resorting to pickpocketing and mugging.
Once, on Silco's way between errands, a stout youth with a geometrical maze of tattoos had threatened to cut his throat in the back-alley. Silco remembers that night vividly. Not because of danger, but a distorted sense of farce.
"Gimme your money."
He was Shuriman. Silco could tell by his accent. He was also scared stiff. He'd clutched a grimy tanning knife at an awkward angle. The blade wavered like a feather. Rather than a stabbing, Silco felt more threatened by the prospect of a tickling.
He stared into the youth's eyes. He was a big lug; a head taller than Silco, and twice his weight. And yet he looked as jittery as a child with stage fright.
"I have," Silco said, enunciating plainly, "three Hexes in my pocket. I'll give you one if you haul a couple of crates."
The youth gurned in disbelief, "Crates?"
"Benzo's spoonyman is drunk as a skunk. I need someone for heavy lifting. You look strong."
"I ain't no whore," the youth blurted.
"I said haul crates. If I meant let's fuck, I'd have said so. Come along. And give me that knife. It's so filthy you'll give yourself tetanus just touching it."
Bewildered, the youth complied.
His story was typical. Shipwrecked on the southern coast, he'd arrived in the Undercity penniless and hungry, a younger sister latched on to his arm. In desperation, he'd turned to crime to feed them. Wherever he saw the opportunity to steal, he seized it.
Now he lived like a real sumprat, fighting tooth and claw for scraps.
Silco and Vander did their best to help those with guts. Neither of them were paragons of virtue. But they knew how low an empty belly could lay a boy. They'd put them to work in the Black Lanes as runners. They'd teach them the basics of the trade: Vander playing disciplinarian, Silco playing mentor. The rest—the savvy, the street smarts—the kids picked up on their own.
They had no choice. The Lanes were no death-knell of social Darwinism. They were its ugliest tenets in the unnatural parameters of a petri dish. Life moved in fast-forward, and came with its own inalterable mutations. Those who triumphed did so by shedding old skin—or devouring that of their peers.
Survival was the best teacher of all.
The boy proved competent as a runner. But in a month's time, he'd fallen afoul of Enforcers, and gotten hauled off to Stillwater. Silco wouldn't see him until twelve years later, in a cage match at Rotten Row.
By then, he and Lock would both be altered beyond recognition.

could u elaborate on that gerri as a father figure thing?
Yes I am always willing to talk about this specific topic, no joke. I'm not sure which specific parts you want explained, but i do have this post about why she's not a mother figure to Roman. Also I am so sorry that this is like 3-4 days late.
In that post, I say that Gerri's relationship to Roman is like a "more ideal version of his relationship to Logan." While I still do think those two relationships mirror each other, I also don't think of it as ideal, rather I think of her as almost an intermediary between Roman and Logan. By this, I mean that to Roman, Gerri is a proxy for Logan with whom he's allowed to be more human with. Gerri intimidates Roman, but she doesn't strike fear into his heart the way Logan does. She's more approachable and he can ask her to do things for and with him the way he couldn't with his father. If Logan is God (the Father), (Fr) Gerri is the priest.
In “Hunting,” Roman asks Gerri how to “get [Logan] to take [him] seriously,” and Gerri offers to help him with that. Logan's life is his business and his kids know this because he's made it their lives as well. This is why to the Roy family, the role of the child is to honour the father's legacy. They must work at Waystar if they are to get any attention, let alone love from him. If that's the child's role, then it's fair to assume that the father's role must be to prepare the child for that, but Logan fails to adequately do so. This means he's hampered his children's ability to show their affection in a way that he will understand it. He expects them to figure this out on their own because telling them how to do this is cheating— it's a handout. This is where Gerri comes in: she basically fills this role for Roman. She's the one who mentors him in the very specific job of “getting Logan to take him seriously,” not Logan himself.
The sexual aspect of Roman’s relationship to Gerri is still important here. The most notable things about their sexual relationship are that they are always physically separated in a way where they can’t see each other, that Gerri degrades him and that she doesn’t get off on this, at least not while he does. The combination of all three shows that the act of masturbation, the actual sexual element, is part of why Roman is the submissive. It’s what makes him disgusting while Gerri isn’t because she not the one doing the shameful act-- she’s condemning it. The image of Roman masturbating behind the door as she berates him resembles confession. This brings us back to the priest metaphor. Roman is allowed to reveal his sins to Gerri because she isn’t his father. Her berating him mimics the verbal abuse that Logan directs toward Roman. In this, we can see Gerri as a vessel for the word of Logan. She validates the shame he already feels and through this, he is forgiven.
Roman’s taste or choice in potential sexual/romantic partners is heavily influenced by Logan, albeit indirectly. He goes for Tabitha because “dad would go nuts for her,” but they don’t work because he’s not his dad-- he’s not able to fuck. There’s a genuine affection between them for sure, but they’re just very sexually incompatible. Unlike with Tabitha, he isn’t attracted to Gerri because of Logan’s potential attraction to her, rather he’s attracted to her for her resemblance to Logan. She’s the disciplinarian and the mentor. She even takes Logan’s place as (interim) CEO by Roman’s suggestion. The other people that Roman’s shown attraction to are all people who meet the masculine ideals that his father projects: the personal trainer is more physically masculine, Eduard successfully acts as a proxy for his own father, Mencken is a fascist politician, and Lukas is a “self-made” billionaire trying to buy Waystar. This might indicate that Roman has a negative Oedipus complex, that he subconsciously wants to receive his father’s affection and take his mother’s place. I don’t think Roman ever would or could pursue this in a literal way as it would probably be disgusting and scary to him, and the consequences would be horrendous. This is why there is a desire for a symbolic father; however, because Roman’s life is dedicated to his father, he still tries to “marry” Logan. The “marriage” can only be symbolic so, it’s replaced with him being co-CEOs with Logan. This is very much in line with the “business is my fucking” theme in the show. It becomes more obvious when we see that Roman is the only sibling to talk about “being fucked” by their father as a good thing. To him, “being fucked,” means receiving affection. To the others, it means being fucked over because “being fucked” is submission and “fucking” is domination.

Question. Zane is like
Very Edgelord but kinda snaps out of it later on. I'm trying to find some kind of balance or at least something that'll be kinda like an "Oh shit" moment for him. I'm having trouble with him because it's either "would he throw an insult?" Or "is he being too nice?" Any advice?
Ooh okay hmm 🤔
I've run into this myself not having much experience personally writing Zane. He's a difficult one to get a grasp on in my experience because of how complex he is.
Of course context is important, like what stage of edgelord Zane is at because especially if he's full Edgelord Supreme anything that could shake him would have to be pretty big and drastic.
Finding Zane's middle ground is tough honestly, I know exactly what you mean. The thing I've found to keep in mind is that Zane has a disconnect between his emotions and his ability to express them that was probably created during his time training at the dojo with the cyber legacy as a kid. And how that translates especially to Syrus is that he acts kinda as a disciplinarian almost, like a demanding mentor with high standards than a brother, but Syrus hasn't grown or developed as a duelist or within himself enough to be able to achieve so Zane's tough on him and ultimately unfortunately exhibits abusive behaviors, but also you can see hints in the first season that he does care and is trying to look out for Syrus in his own weird, very detached sort of way because it's the best he can do. It takes extreme situations for him to be able to align his heart and his head concerning his ability to express his care for his brother.
For example back in season 1, Camula threatening to sacrifice Sy'd soul if Zane defeated her. Or in season 3 Sy could've been killed by the Doom Dozer had Zane not stepped in. And even then in those situations he's fairly casual about it. He's still kinda distant all things considered but less so than usual.
I guess if I had to boil it down, my main advice is that no matter what, Zane is an emotionally distant, closed off guy even when he's expressing any genuine concern. He's more of an acts of service guy in terms of expressing his feelings, and he's a tough love kinda guy. He's harsh and doesn't sugarcoat or anything like that. Unless someone is actually dying or in a situation where they could, he's not gonna be very soft or nice without an undertone of harshness to it. If that makes sense?

WangXian personality swap
So I was watching this and the idea was born! It goes like this:
Wei Ying's parents die when he is 4, and the hotel where his parents left him charged him with labor, treating him like a servant until they eventually kicked him out a year later, he still spends 4 years on the street, earning food and the occasional roof over his head working for a lot of different people. He learns to be meek and quiet to avoid beatings; when Sect Leader Jiang finds him when he is 9 yo, he keeps his low profile and servitude under Madam Yu's watchful eyes, who doesn't want to have anything to do with the brat until she sees Wei Ying protect Jiang Cheng from a rabid dog, despite the small kid shaking in fear, from then on, the Matriarch takes Wei Wuxian under her wing, personally training him
On the other side, in Gusu, Lan Wangji suffers his mother's absence, but while he normally is a shy, introverted type of child, he now remembers the last words of his mother to him "A-Zhan looks so cute when he smiles, your smile is like gentle moonlight in a dark sky, won't A-Zhan keep smiling for mother?". A few months after little Lan Zhan understood that his mother wasn't opening the doors ever again, he cried on his brother's arms, telling him between sobs how much he wanted to be the smiling child his mother wanted him to be, Lan Huan promised himself to help his little brother in anything he needed, even in this
So Wei Wuxian grows with his mother's talent and strength and his father's personality and looks. Under Madam Yu's training he flourishes as the perfect bodyguard for the sect heirs, he raises as head disciple and no one bats an eye, because is the perfect position for him to take his place as Jiang Cheng's right hand man when the times comes, he is serious and seemingly cold with his silver eyes that glare the other disciples to perfect behavior when the leaders are near. But everyone in Lotus Pier know that he still has a soft spot for the younger juniors and that both Jiang kids are fiercely protective of their brother, being that many people used to bullied him, feared him or pushed him aside for his stern looks and position in the sect
While Lan Wangji could never be someone one would call 'extroverted', he grows up to be considerably friendlier than when he was younger. His uncle still points him as head disciplinarian, and with this responsibility he takes care of not only reinforce the disciplines, but also to explain why they are necessary and to ensure that every punishment is fair
They both met the first night of the lectures, when one Jiang disciple gets caught after curfew, Wei Wuxian almost sighs and glares at him, as the head disciple, is his duty to ensure all his shidis are behaving correctly as their standing requires and that they don't cause troubles. He grabs the disciple by the neck of his robe (he is not fond of human contact after his years in the street) and makes him and he himself bow to the Lan disciple who caught his shidi climbing the roofs after hours. When he raises with an apology in his mouth he has to stop for a moment, because in front of him is the most beautiful person he has ever seen, with a soft smile that shines beautifully like the full moon in the sky, with golden eyes that speak of amusement more than annoyance for the obvious rule breaking; Wei Wuxian feels his heart melt a little when those gorgeous eyes look at him with open curiosity
Lan Wangji is curious, he has heard stories about the impressive, cold head disciple of the Jiang Sect, but he never thought the guy could be so handsome! clean features, silky head, beautiful silver eyes and elegant poise, besides, over the weeks he also shows to be a dedicated student, and excellent mentor to his sect siblings, ugh, a person can't be this perfect but also this cold!, Lan Wangji despairs.

What would Fem!Obito and Male!Rin be like as parents?
They're a very protective duo! Especially when they've both been through shit in their childhood (Kannabi, turning into a Jinchuuriki, etc.) - they would be an ultimate power couple and would always ensure that their kids are protected.
Male!Rin is the most supportive dad out there - he's always ready to take care of every bruise, cut, or scratch that their kids get from training or from playing. He's so nurturing too, he'd tell them funny bedtime stories, and always ready to comfort them and give them affection.
Fem!Obito is a little bit similar to Madara, she'd be the disciplinarian type and train the kids how to use different weapons and techniques, makes sure that they get good grades and are not average (like she once was) - she wouldn't want them to be treated like how she was treated as a young girl. She's very keen on becoming their mentor and she'd always educate them about the life of a shinobi.
Male!Rin and Fem!Obito would make their home a safe space for their kids - they're allowed to express their feelings, talk about their dreams, and just come to a home where they are always nurtured and safe because of their parents. Fem!Obito was an orphan who never knew her own parents, so she makes sure that she is always present for them.
They're adventurous parents too, they love taking kids to new places and exploring different regions together, and they most definitely love attending events together such as summer festivals, hanami, and all the fun events that Konoha loves to do.
So they're technically ultra-protective and ultra-supportive, fun parents. :D

How to find validation in myself and not to seek from others?
As Dita Von Tesse shrewdly said: "You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there will always be someone who hates peaches."

happy friday! this week, perhaps "Seeing a dead person you knew in a stranger’s face" from the invisible cities prompts, for a character of your choice?
Absolutely! Here's some pre-Inquisition Trevelyan for @dadrunkwriting
"Absolutely not," Evelyn said as she rolled up the blankets and stuffed them into her pack. Olivia stomped her foot and sniffed loudly, a remnant of the mild chill she had taken when they traveled across Ferelden to Haven. Yet even though she was still sick and they were camped out on the edge of the Mage encampment outside of the Temple of Andraste and were surrounded by Templars and Chantry loyalists, Olivia's adventurous spirit couldn't be dimmed. It fell to Evelyn to be the disciplinarian, because her fellow Ostwick mages all made themselves scarce the moment they sensed an argument brewing on the horizon.
Assholes, the lot of them.
"But Evelynnnnn-" Olivia breathed in deeply, ready to launch into an impassioned speech that only a sixteen year old could prepare and recite. Evelyn placed a packet of medicinal plants on top of the blankets, then hid them under several pairs of clean wool socks. The dried plants weren't rare, but they were needed- and they were scarce. And you could never be too careful around strangers. Especially with the Templars about. Ex-Templars? In any case, travel was dangerous. Extremely dangerous. Olivia was in no condition to travel anywhere, except back to her bedroll to sleep.
"No, Olivia," Evelyn interrupted. "You're not going to Haven today."
"But the Mages from the Spire are going! I won't be by myself!" Olivia insisted. Her pale red hair, almost golden in the winter sun, fell out of her tight crown braid and stuck to her forehead and neck in long tendrils. Her pale blue eyes narrowed as she glowered down at Evelyn. Evelyn sighed and folded a spare tunic on her lap. Her fingers traced the mending on the elbow. Mages from the Spire- Olivia had spent the past month in the company of Enchanters at least a decade older than her. A day with her peers would be a welcome change, and Olivia was only sixteen. And with the Divine and Andraste's Ashes so close only the most brazen would dare to fight on consecrated ground. There might be bitter words and whispers and watchful gazes, but an attack? No one would attack. Hopefully.
She looked up into Olivia's shadowed face. The sunlight turned the tendrils of her pale red hair white, almost like- Evelyn turned away. Lydia was a ghost who would never leave her mind. She was everywhere in Ostwick, from Deidre's playful scolding to Olivia's hair, and it just- Lydia didn't get a chance to travel. She never left Ostwick. Oftentimes Evelyn caught her mentor gazing out the window, out towards the sea, a wistfully misty look in her dark green eyes. She had friends across Thedas, life-long friendships that meant the world to her, but Lydia never met them. She never had the chance to, and now she never would. It was too late for her to meet her fellow Mages from other Circles, too late to put faces to letters that spanned across decades. Lydia was too late.
Olivia, however, was not.
"You're still sick," Evelyn finally said.
"Bu-"
"But if you're careful, and you buy some medicine from the apothecary, you can go," Evelyn interrupted. One day in Haven couldn't possibly hurt anyone, right? Everyone else was off doing their own business, and Olivia was a responsible girl! She could hold her own if there was any trouble- her ice magic was nothing to scoff at, and she packed a wallop of a left hook. She would be fine. Everything would be fine.
"That's not- wait. Really?" Olivia blinked. "You... you said I could go?"
"You've been patient and steadfast this entire journey. You deserve a chance to have fun. Make friends," Evelyn stood up and slung her pack over her shoulder. "Now hurry along, I'll see you at dinner. I'm off to the Temple, there's apparently a marketplace and someone's selling a manuscript on extinct plants I want to look at."
"Ugh, the plants again!" Olivia stuck out her tongue, just like Lydia might have done when they were young, before she was made First Enchanter. "You be careful too, Evelyn."
"Of course. Remember, go to the apothecary once you reach Haven. And if you're winded, rest!" Evelyn ordered, and she wrapped her arms around the girl and hugged her tightly. Be safe, she wanted to murmur. Don't draw attention to yourself, she wanted to add. But instead she stepped back and gently pushed Olivia out of the tent and into the sun.
"And have fun!" she added with a smile. Olivia laughed, swooped in to hug Evelyn so tightly it felt like her bones may crack under the pressure, and then she was gone, running up the switchback trail from their campsite near the frozen stream and up towards the White Spire camp, further away from the temple gates. Evelyn sighed and adjusted the straps of her pack. Lydia would have teased her for being soft, for relenting to a child's pleading and wheedling. Lydia would have laughed and joked about her secretly tender heart. Oh Evie, she would have said, your secret is safe with me!
"Back to work, then," Evelyn muttered, and she gazed up to the gray stone walls of the Temple of Sacred Ashes. If it had been anything else Evelyn would stay in the tent, but she had been searching for that particular manuscript for years. It had information about an ancient herb that was often used for medicine that might help slow Blight sickness, and- well, it could be useful. The best way to survive, to make sure that everyone survived, was to be valuable. Useful. Indispensable. And if that document could help- Evelyn shuddered and took one step forward.
She couldn't wait for the day to be over with.

Blog #1- The good and harm that online communities can do.
The increasing influence that online interactions have had on our lives has drastically increased in recent times, especially during covid. Every single community allows for so many individuals that would never interact; to meet, grow together, and collaborate on common ideals and goals. The positive impact that these communities can have on a person can not be overstated; especially for younger and more influencable persons. Despite all of the good a community can do, it is natural that it will begin to fade and struggle with time. Members and leaders will burn out and move on; and human beings inevitably end up looking for differences to wield against eachother. Regardless of the state of individual communities, it is logical to conclude that the online world is only going to grow with time.
It is a tragedy then, that often these communities and the online world as a whole are treated without the respect they deserve, being left to wither away as social divisions grow. It is not inherently unfair to treat such communities as a side venture to simply allocate spare attention to. Yet if a community as a whole is treated this way, there is little unity left to preserve the health of the community.
I strongly prefer to not delve into specifics out of respect; however to capture the significance of these issues, I will bring up one. Paedophelia I think, is something that no good natured person will be inclined to defend nor try to normalize. As an example from the TF2 community, Nursey; a top level player and mentor to many was banned from community leagues due to being a paedophile. Despite the measures taken to drive them out of the community, they still have many friends that will continue to rationalize their actions and defend them. "They're not a paedophile, they would never do something like that, they never meant to hurt anyone"; are common examples of emotional responses on the matter.
The issue to be found here, is that one of the most morally reprehensible behaviors possible, is easily defended in individual communities. Nobody wants to be the person to turn their back on their friends, and few people would want to make themselves a target by deviating from what the group consensus is. This becomes an issue when the very people that are supposed to be role models, that define the values of a community; are not held accountable for these behaviors.
If an issue as objectively clear as this is unable to be resolved, then I would ask what hope a community has of resolving any situations that involves the slightest bit of nuance or moral flexibility. It's important to ask yourself then, what other situations happen that just completely get defended because it's easier to be a part of a collective; than to stand as an individual and risk isolation from a community. If the very people in a community are unable to hold other parts of that community accountable, then eventually you will let others get hurt.
This same exact issue happens time and time again, and yet the issue is only one issue of many that a community may end up facing; and this is not an isolated incident. None of this is anything you'd want to have yourself or a friend go through or be the victim of, I'd imagine. Yet what can the individual do, when the perpetrators of a crime are the very ones defining what is and isn't normal and right? If you begin to understand this notion, you may see why it's important to never let issues get to this point in a community, to never let these behaviors get remotely to the point of normality; for everyone is the victim when action against these behaviors is purely reactionary and disciplinarian in nature. When a group attempts to punish another group, it devolves into a tribalistic affair where people just stick to existing biases. Thus, the only answer, is to step outside of social groups, to be a person, and to confront what you see.
With the emotional stakes conveyed, I refocusing to what I am trying to convey.
The next logical step, is to define the abstraction of unity and the impact it has. In my eyes, a community's unity is defined by the willingness of individuals to collaborate on goals, at it's simplest form working together to resolve issues. If a community lacks unity, then levels of interaction naturally drop off, and members begin to drift apart. Unity is the best defense a community can have against a never-ending list of potential issues.
Past this point, I'm going to shift the tone a bit and focus on gaming communities. These communities tend to have their own subsection of issues, and predisposition to hostilities that come from a lack of more intricate and personal connections. The TF2 community is what I am most familiar with, so I will be using it for reference.
The less dedicated any parts of the community are to attempting to solve issues together, the weaker a community is. The natural conclusion of this is that more issues will begin to seep through; and cracks begin to widen, which eventually sink the ship so to speak.
An example of this would be the harassment of others being written off as competitive banter, or matters regarding slurs and other wider cultural issues that seep into our view of what's acceptable.
A large majority of the time, these issues will only build up as time goes on, and eventually will require a solution lest they dominate a community's identity.
The only way a community can continue to preserve itself in spite of such issues, is to reunite all of the scattered fragments of it's members by ignoring social divisions, and to come together to find a solution that accommodates everyone in the community; that still tries to care for the community.
If these conditions are not met, and problems are not resolved through cooperation; the community becomes a shell of it's former self. In this shell, something that used to have a positive impact on other people either fades into obscurity; or becomes a method in which they are hurt by anyone who would seek to abuse existing fragmentation. When you drive others to become outcasts, there will be people who use that fact to their own advantage.
If groups of individuals that seek to do good do not group together and stand for something, eventually groups of people that seek to do harm will be the predominant voices that determine how a community is seen, and what a community does. This is an unfortunate truth, but the patterns do not lie. Eventually, the best and only thing you can do is to stand for something as a person, and to inspire others to stand with you.
There comes a point, where if you stand for something alone or stand for nothing; that you become very susceptible to being driven out of a community. This can be seen throughout many communities in the form of past administrators and community leaders. Even if you are just a normal member, there will be people that will seek to discredit you due to your identity if they disagree with it. Eventually, a social issue is going to have to be confronted, and you need to make sure that the values you uphold aren't going to get shoved away with you.
Looping back to online communities as a whole:
If your communities do not have to deal with these issues, be thankful for what you have, while you have it. I'd suspect that more often than not, your community is going to be struggling with some form of larger issue; be it directly based around conflict or not. Peace of mind is a nice thing to have, but all too often the core of these issues are entrenched in unawareness. Everything seems all peachy and acceptable, until you or your friends have to deal with the impact of an issue.
For this reason, it is always imperative to remain cautious, and to keep protecting others where you can. On a foundational level, a community is based off of the people that reside in it, and the interactions between said people. The less care you put into those interactions, the less of a community you have. The threats posed to any community are perpetual; yet so is the positive impact a community has on others as long as there are people left to hold that banner high.
In the words of Captain Kirk from Star Trek, "If change is inevitable, predictable, beneficial, doesn't logic demand that you be a part of it?" By the same logic, if risk is inevitable, which it is; then why not find things which matter to you, worth risking for?
So then, take a stand for what you care about, and don't let it drift away to the sands of time. Communities inevitably have expiration dates, yet you as a person have the power to create a legacy that others can remember and look to. In doing this, you are able to effect others that you would potentially never be able to connect with otherwise. A community thrives together, and a community withers together all the same. Every single member of a community plays a part in the fate of a community; yet you may be the only person that understands or sees a key factor that others don't yet. By understanding this, you can understand the importance of yourself.
And always remember, that an unspoken status quo regardless of topic or severity results in much stagnation and decline; and will continue to do so until confronted. Only afterwards, can social wounds begin to heal; otherwise they continue to fester and constrict.
If you are not convinced of the inevitability of change currently, I will be diving into the impact people individually have in future posts.

Professor Min
Namjoon, with his dragon eyes and sun-kissed skin, was a walking paradox. A notorious troublemaker with a mind sharper than a diamond cutter, he left a trail of bewildered teachers and exasperated sighs in his wake. His latest escapade - bribing a cow onto school grounds - was the final straw. Enter Professor Min Yoongi, a man sculpted from ice and intellect, tasked with taming the untamable Namjoon.
Yoongi's house, a testament to minimalist luxury, became their unlikely battleground. The initial sessions were a tempestuous dance of defiance and control. Namjoon, armed with a repertoire of snark and rebellion, met Yoongi's unwavering resolve head-on. Yet, beneath the bravado, Namjoon's pain flickered like a dying ember. His parents, absent figures lavishing him with money but not love, had left him adrift in a sea of loneliness.
One session, amidst the usual verbal sparring, Yoongi, with a quiet intensity, asked, "Are you okay?" The question, laced with genuine concern, cracked Namjoon's facade. He mumbled about feeling like an orphan in his own home, the words raw and laced with hurt. In that moment, Yoongi, the embodiment of stoicism, saw a reflection of his own childhood neglect.
From then on, their sessions shifted. Yoongi, the disciplinarian, became Yoongi, the confidante. He didn't offer empty platitudes, but a quiet understanding, a steady presence in Namjoon's chaotic world. He challenged Namjoon academically, pushing him to excel, and in the process, chipped away at the walls Namjoon had built around himself.
Amidst the intellectual sparring and late-night talks, an unspoken bond blossomed. Namjoon, for the first time, felt seen, not just for his mischief, but for the vulnerable boy beneath. He started catching himself stealing glances at Yoongi, his heart stuttering at the way the moonlight painted silver streaks on Yoongi's dark hair. Feelings, unwanted and unwelcome, bloomed in his chest.
Yoongi, too, felt a shift. The boy he was meant to discipline had become someone he cared for deeply. He saw the potential beneath the bravado, the loneliness masked by defiance. But the age difference, his position as Namjoon's mentor, were shackles on his burgeoning feelings.
Their unspoken dance continued, a waltz of stolen glances and meaningful silences. One rainy afternoon, as Namjoon helped Yoongi prepare tea, their fingers brushed. The touch, electric and fleeting, sent shivers down both their spines. In that charged silence, both knew their feelings were mutual, a secret blooming in the heart of forbidden territory.
The story can take many paths from here. Will Namjoon confess his feelings, risking their bond and facing potential consequences? Will Yoongi acknowledge his own desires, jeopardizing his career and reputation? Or will they continue their unspoken dance, forever yearning for what they cannot have? The choice is yours, dear reader. Let your imagination paint the ending, where love and forbidden desires collide in the heart of an unlikely

Mercury Transit in Aquarius 20 February 2024
Tumblr media
Mercury is an important planet in astrology that impacts our lives significantly when it changes signs. Mercury rules over communication, intelligence, trade, and finances. So when it moves into a new zodiac sign, it can bring both favorable and unfavorable changes for the next month.
On February 20, 2024, Mercury will transit into the fixed air sign of Aquarius. Mercury will remain in Aquarius for the next 30 days. This transit is expected to particularly influence Aquarius and Gemini moon sign natives. Let us see what changes Mercury's transit into Aquarius has in store for all zodiac signs.
About Mercury
In Vedic astrology, Mercury is considered the prince among the planets. It is the planet that governs intelligence, analytical abilities, logic, mathematics, curiosity and speech. Mercury also rules over business, trading, communication, accounting and commerce.
This clever planet controls Gemini and Virgo zodiac signs, which fall in the 3rd and 6th houses of the Kaalpurush kundli respectively. This connects Mercury to short trips, younger siblings, peers, mentors and contracts. The position of Mercury in the birth chart reveals a lot about a person's thinking patterns, interests and communicative style.
Effects of Mercury in Aquarius
When Mercury moves into Aquarius, it joins disciplinarian Saturn which owns this fixed air sign. Mercury takes on some of the serious, detached and intellectual qualities of Saturn. The focus will shift to logical analysis, technology, science and innovation.
However, Mercury feels restricted in Saturn's sign and cannot express itself freely. Communication may become terse and lack warmth. People may seem more aloof, argumentative and stubborn. There is a risk of becoming too mentally rigid or getting drawn into useless intellectual debates.
We must utilize this transit to have serious discussions and gain wisdom but beware of overthinking or self-righteous attitude. Seek practical solutions but retain flexibility. Use technology wisely without compromising genuine connections. Remain adaptable and open-minded. This Mercury transit will particularly affect Aquarius and Gemini moon signs in the coming month. You can generate your free online kundli to evaluate your personal birth chart and get more insights on how this transit may affect you.
