I unintentionally skipped a lot of the romance content in Baldur's Gate 3 and I want others to learn from my mistakes:
So: I managed to lock myself out of romance entirely and ended up alone, which was a huge bummer and a serious crack in my motivation to play the game. I finished my playthrough (because I was already close to the end of Act 3 when I realized it), and plan to do another one eventually. I'm making this post in hopes of a) keeping others from making the same mistakes and b) to possibly get some additional insight re. what to watch out for in my next playthrough.
PSA: Pick a Partner before Act 3
The key learning here for me was this explanation from the poly mod
In BG3, romance is divided into 2 steps: dating and relationship(also called partner). Dating is basically where you are at after the 1st romance scene. Relationship is where you are at after the 2nd romance scene (relationship also unlocks the kissing menu). BTW, If you enter A3, all dates will break up with you (partners won't, ofc).
I hadn't realized this until well into Act 3, at a point where going back to a save to properly fix it would have meant replaying large parts of Act 2 as well - I decided to finish my run instead and then start a completely new one later.
Note: lots of spoilers below. (click here to read this post on reddit instead)
My Romance Woes
I read in advance that you couldn't romance multiple people (except for the specific Halsin combos with Shadowheart and Astarion) and therefore turned down Gale and Lae'Zel early in the game (not realizing you could just date/bonk them without fully committing or getting anyone upset)
I didn't take approval all that seriously, thought I'd have more opportunity to fix things later. I was playing pretty good guy, and ended up with high approval for Karlach and Shadowheart, but low for Astarion. Weirdly, I don't recall an option to romance Shadowheart (no clue what I missed?) and the only option I had for Karlach was at the Tiefling party, where I went with Astarion instead. I had a scene or two with him, but then didn't progress further in the relationship, without really realizing what I was missing.
I wanted to romance everyone, sat on the fence for too long, and ended up not romancing anyone at all, by missing a thing or two in act 1 and 2 and being too late to fix it in act 3. Don't be like me, it feels bad man.
Early Act 3, I got Astarion's breakup dialogue ("we haven't spent a night together in some time" --> him explaining it was just transactional and he doesn't see the value in it anymore) and got super worried, but when trying to look up if I'd messed up, I didn't find a clear answer for without more spoilers, so I just continued playing Act 3, including all of the companion quests.
I later learned that I missed out on at least one important Astarion romance interaction by not going to Moonrise Towers until after freeing Nightsong. (when the Towers are already on high alert, i.e. I could only fight and not have a lot of conversations)
After realizing I had messed up companions romance, I instead fucked everyone it was unwise to fuck (Emperor, Mizora, Harleep...) for fun and to see what would happen... but chickened out and reloaded after Emperor and Mizora. Still, got to enjoy some fun content that way!
The ending I got (going to Avernus with Karlach) was really cool and made me cry a lot. I then did try to reload my last save though, to see if I'd get any other epilogue content if I didn't go to the Hells, but... apparently that scene on the docks (Astarion goofily running off, everyone kinda agreeing to go party after this, no other conversations with anyone again.... is just... it?
Idk how much of this is the lack of romance, but I really felt like something was missing there. I at least wanted to talk to everyone again one last time.
This is a post about my romance failures and regrets so I'm not gonna talk about everything else that I loved about the game, but just in case this is getting a bit too negative: I had an absolute blast with the whole game regardless, I'm stoked to give it another go the "proper" way (i.e. with romance). I also generally think it's really fucking cool that this game's romance options depend on how you behave, and that you can't just e.g. give someone the right kind of gift 20 times in a row to make them love you, like it works in games like Stardew Valley.
Next Playthrough Plans
I'll probably wait for another patch or two - considering how much got fixed and tweaked with the first three patches, I suppose it's worth to wait a bit and see what's coming
I'll play with the Poly mod next time and try to romance all of the Origin characters.
I plan to play with the camp notifications mod, as well as the approval ratings in dialogue mod. Both in hopes of being able to game the romance a bit better and get much of the romance in one playthrough
I'll play Dark Urge (haven't seen any of that so far!), but probably still go for a "good" playthrough mostly
I plan on equipping & levelling all Origin companions and switch them out more freely, in order to get approval from everyone and edit my party as makes sense depending on story events (e.g. take Lae'Zel to the Creche, take Gale to the Ketheric fight...)
I want to romance everyone. I already saw some tips for early game Astarion approval and assume the aforementioned mods will help in optimizing this
Am probably not gonna do anything all that differently otherwise because my heart can't take an actually evil playthrough
Aand that's about it. As mentioned, I'm mostly posting in case this helps anyone else.
I was really damn sad when I realized I had locked myself out of all romance, because the romance was a significant part of my motivation to start playing this in the first place. At the same time, I loved so much about the game that I still got a lot out of it in 110+ hours even with minimal romance content.
If you see any red flags about my plans for the next playthrough (or if you have experience with the mentioned mods!), I'd appreciate comments and insights. Other than that, here's hoping others can learn from my mistakes. Thank you for reading <3

Is it just me that thinks there's something fishy as hell with e-cigarette bans ?
I've never smoked or vaped in my life, but every time I hear about a new vaping ban it's always the same thing, "vaping is harmful" and "kids are using it as a gateway drug to real cigarettes". And considering the studies linked always list deaths in the hundreds, compared to millions of deaths from tobacco every year, it just seems like flimsy evidence to me.
Seems like the best thing to do would be to ban tobacco then, but unlike vaping bans where half the world has already completely banned them, the strictest smoking laws I've seen only restrict smoking indoors and outside some public spaces. As far as I know, no country has completely banned cigarettes.
Idk, it just feels like we're seeing corruption happen right in front of our eyes.
We're always seeing corruption happen right in front of our eyes, just might not be identifying it when we do.
E-Cigarette thing is a weird one though, popped up a thing from the UK yesterday handing them out resulted in a 50% increase in people successfully quitting smoking,
Giving out free vapes in A&E helped to double the number of people that quit smoking cigarettes, a trial has found.
Even more my bad, nearly 24% that got the vape starter pack and referral to quitting service did so.
Then there's China that has a state monopoly on cigarettes so they encourage people to smoke, but not directly.
For states and such it'll be a hit on the tax revenue that it will take a while to see reverse, but it eventually will start saving the place money in lower hospital and healthcare so encouraging not smoking is the long run winner, people don't think that way lately for some reason.
The bans on them are weird, yes zoomers were on their way to beating the addiction to nicotine until they made it taste like mango.
All that said the only significant number of deaths or injuries I've seen coming from vapes is from people that get the bootleg juice for them that some dude over on the corner makes and sells cheaper than that stuff you get at the shop and he doesn't check ID's either.
And that's already illegal.
As far as I know, no country has completely banned cigarettes.
New Zealand Scraps World's First Generational Smoking Ban
Dang it they were going to be my GO-TO for this, anyone born this century was too young to buy cigarettes was the law, not shocked it got scrapped even in not the US there's still people that believe in the freedom to live your life as you choose and enough of them to get in the way of a law like that.
Big tobacco in the US has managed to diversify enough that they don't need to fight vaping, since they're making money off of it, vape thing if there's a conspiracy it's probably people that just have no clue and think the posts they see on facebook about a kid who's lungs looked to be full of silicone from vaping either actually happened or is the normal result of vaping or both.
As far as things that shouldn't be banned go, vape stuff is pretty high up there and the benefits outweigh the risks a whole lot in the long run.
At least provide they don't find out in 25 years that it alters your DNA and will cause a 2nd head to grow out of your shoulder and now we've got a whole lot of new contestants for the Zaphod Beeblebrox lookalike competition.
Which would be weird.

Guns N’ Roses - 3½ hour concert (and a long Slash guitar solo)!!
(This is my 2nd attempt writing this because Tumblr's automatic saving is shitty.)
I know, I know... I'm soooooooooooooooo freaking late with this...
But I had some issues, health and mostly to do with work, and my dumb manager who changes his mind more than a Kardashian changes her clothes in a day. (I hope to quit it soon and hopefully with a new/better job in the horizon.)
But without further ado, let's get to the GNR concert.
Tumblr media
The concert was at the Cívitas Metropolitano on Friday, 9th June 23 in Madrid. The weather was nice and warm, a bit cloudy but no rain thankfully, since it had been raining cats and dogs at the beginning of the week. Although there were around 40,000 people present, the home stadium of Atlético Madrid was not fully filled, sadly.
Let's start with the negative parts...
The music started, and I don't mean GNR, but the opening act was not until almost 4 hours later(!!) than its scheduled time.
Apparently, and this is just a rumour. Still, I heard this from many many many security staff members, volunteers, and last but not least, even GNR staff members that it was because Axl was being a little diva and didn't show up until like an hour later after everyone had already been at the venue for rehearsal. The security staff couldn't even have their lunch break on time but only 2 hours later! Imagine these people are on-site since the wee hours of the morning and might have water and a snack here and there, but not proper food in them and you've to wait an extra 2 hours for your lunch and the guys for the next shift. Once I was at the entrance of the venue, I could hear Axl practising which was great but I wanted them to get some food and to get to the main event already!
Moreover, they were supposed to practise the day before but this was cancelled due to rain and I WAS THERE to check out the venue (and totally not because my silly butt mistook the dates 🤣) and the supposed "rain" was like a few water drops and some wind. Now, I'm not an expert, but I don't see that for a little water, which I wouldn't even consider rain, it'd be necessary to cancel the whole band practice, especially if the whole thing is under a roof and the venue is known for being one hell of a place to get the sound right. I don't consider this very professional, particularly, the part that Axl was late which I was also told that it wasn't the first time (the previous one was that everyone was at the place in the morning but he said that he had to finish his lunch and didn't appear until way after lunchtime). I could've overlooked this if anyone not even necessarily Axl, just anyone had apologised right when the concert started. Nevertheless, it wouldn't be a GNR concert without its shenanigans, I guess.
The organisation left a lot to be desired (again). It was the same story that the GNR staff didn't communicate with the venue staff like last year which I don't understand why this is something so difficult to do? And hundreds of people didn't know where they had to go in order to wait to get inside.
There were some sound problems, especially, because they didn't practise enough and this stadium is known for being difficult and requires a lot of rehearsal (at least, a full day), but it wasn't as bad as last year despite most opinions I've heard, mind you I was front row, like literally in front of the horn which Axl always toots right before Nightrain.
And the last thing, the stage was way too high up compared to the previous year. I could barely see them when Duff and Slash sat in front of the drums and play. I’ve got no clue why they’d raise it up so high. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Now about the positive aspects...
The opening was done by The Pretenders and they were a G-O-O-D F-R-E-A-K-I-N-G choice! They were amazing and brought me many children's memories back 😊.
Tumblr media
Chrissie Hynde's voice was so ethereal and she sounded so great!! I loved them so much as a child and I'd like to see them again.
Once the stars of the event appeared, I wanted to smooch Axl sooooo badly!! He started greeting my home with his enunciation in English saying "Spaaaainnnnn" with that "n" nasal typical of him.
There was a moment when Slash was lying on top of the equipment and I wanted to throw myself on top of him 😂 - don't blame me for this, I know I'm not the only one who probably had the same thought.
I loved that they played Yesterdays, Patience, and You Could Be Mine which are some of my favourite songs of them. 😭❤️
But what really really made this event so special and unique to me was when I blew a kiss to Duff and he gave me a full-teeth smile from ear to ear and he look so good and sweet!! I was trying not to pass out of how delicious Slash was with his shirt wide open, glistening from all the sweat (I never wanted to be a drop of sweat so bad in my life like in that moment) and his arms and hands and veins, god dammit his arms!! YUMMY!!!! 🤤 And when I blew a kiss to Slash too... I thought I was done for it for real!! 😍😍😍 He gave me a sexy and devilish smirk combined with a wink and made this gesture but showing his long and big tongue fully out:
Tumblr media
I was ready for heaven/hell to take me.
Tumblr media
And yes, my loins were very on hellfire at that moment!
The concert ended around 0.57 am and it was quite an adventure to get back to my accommodation and fight my way through thousands of people to get to the last train of the day.
Here's the list of the songs they played:
It’s So Easy
Bad Obsession
Chinese Democracy
Mr. Brownstone
Slither (Velvet Revolver version)
Welcome to the Jungle
Pretty Tied Up
Reckless Life
Double Talkin’ Jive
Hard Skool
Absurd
Live and Let Die (Wings version)
Wichita Lineman (Jimmy Webb version)
You Could Be Mine
Estranged
Down on the Farm (UK Subs version)
Rocket Queen
Anything Goes
T.V. Eye (The Stooges version) (and baby boy Duff sung! He should sing more!)
There Was a Time
Don’t Cry
Shadow of Your Love
Civil War
Long Slash guitar solo
Sweet Child o’ Mine
November Rain
This I Love
Locomotive
Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door (Bob Dylan version)
Nightrain
Extras:
Yesterdays
Patience
Paradise City
I'd have preferred it if everything had been better organised and if there had been some more interaction from Axl and the rest with the audience. I mean, it's not that difficult to include your audience one way or another. We didn't even get a 'thank you' at the end, but one thing I want to tell everyone is to stop comparing then and now, whether you've had the honour to see them in the past or not, just enjoy it as much as possible and stop saying crap like "he sounded better back then and now he sounds like a chipmunk" or "they've gained so much weight", or any other nonsense like it. To everyone saying shit like this, bugger off!! 🖕
Overall, I give the concert a solid 9/10.

Led Me To You ¬ Remus L.
Tumblr media
Plot - How could a monster like you ever be loved? That question was drifting around your mind at all moments but what happens when you find someone who feels the same.
Genre - Angst ♥︎/Fluff ☁️
Pairing - Remus Lupin x Fem!reader
Notes/Warnings - Angsty concept but a fluffy ending. Set in their 6th year and Lily doesn't know about Remus' little secret. This revolves around soulmates but only between werewolves. I really want to continue this but I'm unsure. (This is so long, I am sorry.)
Word Count - 2.5k
Giddy whispers, outbursts of laughter and the aroma of firewhiskey engulfed the girls dormitory. The four girls taking part in their weekly boozy chat, a tradition that was started in 2nd year but the recent addition of alcohol brought a whole new level of honesty to their chats.
"Oh come on Lily, you can't hold out on James forever!" Marlene exclaimed in protest of hearing that Lily had turned James down, once again. "We all know you are dying to go out with him so just go and jump his bones already."
At the idea of Lily Evans, the clean-cut prefect, being so forward with James Potter had Marlene, Dorcas and you rolling around the rough carpet in fits of laughter, whilst the redhead's cheeks slowly matched the Gryffindor colours. Downing her drink, she retorted. "Oh yes, because you asked Dorcas out the second you realised you liked her."
Now it was Marlene's turn to look like a cherry as Dorcas mockingly kissed her girlfriend between fits of laughter. It was true, Marlene realised her feelings back in 3rd year but it took her until 5th year to finally admit them. Even with the late admission, Dorcas and Marlene were the ultimate couple of Hogwarts, their love was almost unmatched.
Laughter died down and faces returned to their normal colours as you all topped up your drinks and basked in the joyous atmosphere of your shared room.
"So, Y/N, when are you going to admit your hidden love for a certain prefect?" Dorcas casually asked, looking at you from the comfort of her bed.
"I have no clue what you are talking about"
It was Lily's turn to interrogate you now, "Oh come on, we all see the way you sneak glances at Lupin during breakfast or how you purposely sit behind him in Divination so you can stare!"
"Seriously, we all know you like him and he likes you so what's the hold up?" Marlene chirped up after taking a swing of the pungent alcohol.
They were right of course, the brown haired Gryffindor had taken your interest and had held your heart in his strong hands since the beginning of 4th year. Always ready to offer help or share his chocolate, he was as kind as he was handsome. Who wouldn't fall in love with him?
"So what if I like him? As soon as he finds out what I am, he'd run for the hills and even if he didn't, he deserves more than a monster"
The admission had dampened the mood but they all knew how you felt. Since the age of 13, you had been dealing with lycanthropy, otherwise known as being a werewolf. Painful changes on full moons, horribly reminders of the bad nights decorating your skin and the constant feeling of being nothing more than a monster. You wouldn't wish it upon anyone.
Lily was the first to find out within the first term of 3rd year, after she noticed you walking into the dorm late one night after a shift. The witch was too clever to be deceived by your haphazard lies. Dorcas was next, finding out near the end of 3rd year when you and Lily were discussing a plan for the upcoming full-moon. The three of you had decided to tell Marlene at the beginning of 4th year as you felt terrible about keeping your best friend out of the loop.
Dorcas moved from the bed to offer you a much needed hug, the young witch allowed you to rest your head against her shoulder whilst the other two conjured up the right words to say.
"Y/N, love. You aren't a monster, you are the best person we know. You are kind, caring, clever and probably the best looking witch in Gryffindor and if anyone, especially a boy, were to call you a monster, well then I hope he knows some counter-curses." Exclaimed Marlene, her final comment earning a laugh from all the girls, including a heavy chuckle from you.
"You deserve the world and we are here to make sure you get it"
Those words hit the button for tears to flow freely down your cheeks. Standing up to encase your three best friends into a hug, you whispered "What would I do without you all."
The hug lasted a while longer before Lily, being the ever responsible girl she was, announced that we should all get some sleep as it was a big day tomorrow. The full-moon.
Heading off into your respective beds, you pondered on the girls' words. Did Remus really like me? Could I actually be the person he deserved? Is it fair to ask him to love a monster?
The Next Day
The day following the rise of the full-moon was always a blur, your senses feeling scattered and your mind heavy with preparation of the inevitable shift. Lily, Marlene and Dorcas took it in turns of keeping an eye on you throughout the day, making sure nothing crazy happened. Besides the splitting headache you faced, the day was uneventful as always until the sun started to set.
Your safe-haven was an abandoned cottage in the Forbidden Forest, large enough to house a young werewolf away from the prying eyes of her judgemental peers. The wooden cottage looked haunted from the exterior but inside there was a cozy atmosphere that was enhanced by the relaxation charms Lily and Dorcas had conjured up over the years to make the shift more bearable. You and the girls headed down after a quick dinner, to avoid being followed by nosy first-years or suspicious Slytherins.
Pacing around the cottage as the other girls went over their emergency plan, you caught a scent drift through the breeze. Dusty paper, fresh ink and chocolate invaded your senses as your body came alive over the delicious smell. Whilst none of the smells were particularly pleasant alone, the combination had your body in overdrive as you felt your heart start to race. You were clueless as to where it came from.
But before you could alert the girls to your new sensation, an all too familiar feeling travelled through your body. The feeling of bones cracking, only to reform moments later as honey-brown fur sprouted through your skin. Your senses muddled as your primal-self took over your consciousness. As the pain dispersed and you took full form, the girls readied themselves for your initial attack but it never came, instead you raised your snout to the ceiling and whined in desperation before bursting through the old wooden door with a trio of witches following your unpredictable movements.
Casting entrapment spells and barriers to slow the she-wolf down, Lily was bewildered at what had possibly caught the attention of her best friend. Bounding through the forest as leaves and twigs crumbled under her huge paws, chasing the scent which was only getting stronger. Her finely tuned ears heard the sound of panting and paws hitting the ground heading towards them, the sound of four creatures but only one of them had a scent she was salivating at.
As you reached a clearing in the forest, a large grey-furred werewolf broke through the treeline before locking eyes with your own and carefully approaching. Following from behind the grey wolf, three other figures appeared; a majestic stag, a strong looking black hound and a young wizard, known as Peter Pettigrew but they all halted as they spotted you, and the three confused looking witches who kept their distance from the dance that you and the grey werewolf were playing. Slowing inching forward toward the unknown wolf, you felt your senses alight with excitement and warmth, this was where the scent came from.
You stood snout to snout with the other wolf before the grey werewolf placed a large rough lick against the side of your snout, eliciting a growl of pleasure to emit from your chest. You stepped closer to nuzzle your head into the chest of the beast, attempting to engulf their delicious scent fully. The werewolf encouraged your affection by offering a contented whine before nuzzling their snout into your own soft brown fur.
The trio of witches watched in awe as the two werewolves interacted like long lost lovers, almost forgetting the sheer absurdity of the situation or why the other wolf was accompanied by two animals and a wizard. But before they could question it any further, you and the unknown wolf looked towards the moon and released an unison howl, solidifying the finding of one another. If Lily was more poetic, she might have said that the werewolves were thanking the moon for showing them to each other.
As you broke away from the howl, you felt yourself shifting back into a human. A process that would often feel like being dragged through hell as your nerves burned and your mind argued with itself, was now felt effortless. Bones retracted into their normal positions without fuss and your primal side offered your human side control of your conscious with no fight, almost as if your inner wolf was at peace.
Allowing yourself to bask in the peace for a moment, you stayed with your eyes shut. As gasps fell from Marlene's mouth with the added whispers of Dorcas and Lily voicing their disbelief, you opened your eyes to find beautiful amber orbs staring right back at you. His muscular arms falling gently to your sides, entrapping you within the intimate moment your primal-selves had contrived, as his face displayed the same look of shock that you were sure reflected on your own. The smell of old books, chocolate and ink faintly drifted through your senses as you allowed yourself to take in the situation. The silence was deafening.
"Hi love"
"Um, hi Rem. Do you have any idea what just happened there?"
As Remus rose to his feet, he extended his hand in an attempt to offer help. Grasping his strong scar covered hand, you felt tingles shoot through your spine and judging from how the young wizard stared at you, he felt them too.
Glancing around, you saw two new additions to the group, James and Sirius. You thought about asking how they got there but you were more interested on what just happened between you and the man you were crushing on.
"I think I might know what happened" Lily spoke as she walked towards the both of you. "I read about this back in 3rd year when I first found out about Y/N. Apparently werewolves hold ancient magic within them, most of it has disappeared but something that stayed was anima socios or soulmates."
Feeling your cheeks heat up, you turn to look at the boy who's blush was also evident and wonder if this could be what you just experienced. Is that why your wolf felt so content? Is that why his scent made you feel warmth? Is that why you haven't let go of his hand?
"Soulmates are rare in werewolves nowadays but finding your anima socio means that shifts are easier, less violent."
The influx of information was truly overwhelming. In the span of hours, you discovered that the wizard who you harboured secret feelings for was a werewolf, and said man happened to be your soulmate. A part of you expected James to start laughing and explaining this was all an elaborate ruse.
Sensing your rush of emotion and overthinking, Remus gripped your delicate hand ever so slightly, almost reminding you that he is here for you.
"Could you all just give us a minute please?"
Murmurs of 'yes' were followed by the crinkling of leaves underneath the retreating witches' and wizards' feet. Knowing their gazes were off you and your newly found soulmate made a sigh of relief escape your lips. Neither of you knowing quite what to say left an awkward atmosphere lingering but the sense of shared peace made it bearable. Before Remus cleared his throat.
"Listen, I know that this is a lot but I have to admit that part of me is relieved"
You raised your head upwards to look at the tall man with eyebrows raised in confusion of what he had just admitted. The young wizard inhaled deeply before explaining.
"I've liked you for years but I could never tell because I knew you could never love someone like me. Even as a werewolf, you are stunning and I'd be lying if I said I didn't recognise you from your scent. As soon as I caught that smell, I knew you were nearby and I couldn’t stop myself from following it."
You stared at the vulnerable man who had just spoken the words that you had longed to hear, words that put you at ease whilst sending your heart into a flurry. Cupping his face between your hands, you finally admit some of your hidden feelings.
"Rem, I have liked you since god knows when but I didn't want you to have to put up with a monster like me. Words can't explain how glad I am that you are my soulmate because if it was a choice, I'd pick you any day of the week because you are perfect, Remus Lupin and being your soulmate is more than I'd ever deserve."
Both your eyes glistened with tears at your admission, the feeling of love and acceptance that radiated off the both of you was more intense than any shift. With your eyes connecting in the powerful hold, you felt yourself leaning in closer to Remus' welcoming aura before uniting your lips together. Both of you knew that magic was real but this was a magic like no other, this was raw magic. Emotions bled through the cracks of the walls you had both built, senses lit up with sparks at the feeling of his soft lips melting with yours. This felt like home.
Breaking away, you saw a smile take hold over your lover's face before releasing a light-hearted chuckle. "I've often cursed the moon but honestly, now I've got to thank it. It led me to you."
His words released a flock of butterflies in your stomach as you couldn't help but smile so brightly from the cheesiness of your soulmate's loving words.
"I never knew you were such a romantic, Mr Lupin"
"Let me take you out on a human date and I will show you the full extent of my romantic abilities"
The man retorted before offering his hand once more as you walked towards Hogwarts where you were sure to be hounded with questions but you didn't mind.
You had found Remus and for once, you thanked the moon because without her, you would have never found your anima socios.

In Hiding
Heyo friendos! It's me, Cay. This reader insert wasn't a request; it was more or less indulgent. I'm still taking requests, though, so please send them in! I'm thinking about making this a series; please leave a note if you're interested in seeing more! This was also written in the 2nd person. One last tidbit: I’d recommend listening to the songs mentioned in the story for effect, your choice tho!
Word count: 1029
Main pairings: Avengers x enhanced!fem!reader, and later on may change.
Synopsis: Reader is a shapeshifter, capable of almost anything. They've been running from Hydra, The Avengers, and the Government. What happens when the Avengers find the reader?
Warnings: Like 1 swear word, angst, fluff and more cursing in next chapters, really un-graphic violence
Tumblr media
——————————
You had been hiding from everyone: the Avengers, HYDRA, and the Government. You were one of the last enhanced persons that hadn't been killed, captured, or recruited by the Avengers.
You were hiding out in a small flat in New York City. In it, you had the bare minimum, a couch, a laptop, a hot plate, and clothes for a week. Thanks to your powers, you didn't need much more. Being a shapeshifter, you could do almost anything, turn into anyone.
Lately, you'd been using your powers to shift into avengers and use their powers to your benefit.
See, the way that you worked was that when you shifted into a person, object, or animal, you gained their strength, appearance, and abilities. This came in handy when you needed to get food, you'd turn into a cute puppy and beg people, or you'd steal using Wanda's telekinesis.
Your hair and eyes were naturally bright blue, a result of your powers. When you shifted into anything with hair or eyes, it was also blue. When you shifted into an object, its surface was blue.
After a month or so of hiding in New York, you decided it was time to step up your game. You began planning bank heists and hacking into government files to completely remove yourself from the system. You were one of the greatest minds and most powerful beings the world would ever know, but no one knew of you.
After your first successful bank heist, you’d been noticed by the police. Watching the security footage from your theft, they became confused. Who was this teenaged girl already pulling bank robberies? Dumbfounded, the authorities decided they needed help from higher up. Dealing with enhanced individuals was tricky, and the most experienced would be the Avengers. The police sent the security footage, and now you were a wanted woman.
———————–——–
It had been three weeks, and you had a steady income. You'd been doing low-profile jobs for gangs, running drugs, and still robbing banks. Life was good. You were never hungry, you had clothes on your back, and the gangs you did jobs offered protection.
Back at your apartment after a particularly lengthy job, you decided to turn on music and take a nap.
Walking in and collapsing on your couch, you shifted into a cat to become more comfortable. Little did you know, someone had snuck into your apartment and was hiding behind your sofa.
The intruder jumped up in an attempt to grab you, but your keen feline senses alerted you. You jumped up, quickly shifting to your human form.
Tackling him, you took notice of his appearance. The intruder was… Spiderman? What was a hero doing breaking into your house?
“Hey!” He yelled, struggling under your knee, trapping him to the ground.
Eyes glowing blue and growling, you shifted into a blue wolf. Your appearance frightened the Spiderman, and he whimpered.
“Please don’t rip my head off!” He begged.
Your face contorted, and you sighed. Releasing the boy from your grip, you pushed him away. After standing and staring for a few seconds, you shifted into your human form and waved your hand, telling him to leave. He took the clue and ran out of your apartment and onto the fire escape. You watched him swing away.
You needed to leave. Now. The Avengers knew of you and your antics, or they wouldn't have sent anyone to try and capture you.
Quickly as you could, you packed up anything you could carry, but you were tired, and as a consequence, you were slow.
After ten minutes, you heard talking from outside.
“Here, kid?” Whispered a man.
“Yeah, here. She's a shapeshifter! Isn’t that cool, Mr. Stark?” Whispered an over-excited boy.
You recognized his voice quickly; it was Spiderman. And Mr. Stark? Like Tony Stark? The iron man was after you too!
“Pipe down underoos! They probably heard us!” Whisper-yelled Tony.
“S-s-sorry, Mr. Stark.” The boy stuttered.
“What's the plan?” A gravelly voice asked.
“Well, we don't want to kill her, and she's supposedly powerful, so I'm thinking sedation?” Another voice announces.
Sedation? They didn't have a plan. Sighing, you shifted into a blue iron man suit in hopes of confusing them. You sat on your sofa and waited patiently for them to enter. You motioned to your self-built speaker, which was motion activated. It began blasting bass boosted Frank Ocean.
Conversation on your fire escape went silent.
“They know we’re here. Shit.” Said a feminine voice.
“What now?” Asked Spiderman.
“We attack.” Said another voice before seven Avengers swiftly entered your apartment.
You grinned. This was going to be easy. They had sent Spiderman, Iron man, Captain America, Black Widow, The Winter Soldier, Vision, and, for some reason, Loki.
They all cocked their heads upon seeing the iron man suit on the couch.
“Uh- Tony? This yours?” Asked Captain America.
“Nope,” Tony says, confused.
You stand up, turn to the Avengers, and motion to your speaker to start playing your “fight playlist” because you knew someone would come for you eventually. “Wow.” by Post Malone, bass boosted, began blasting.
Grinning, you created clones of yourself, shifting them into the heroes standing in front of you. You stepped back, letting your clones have their fun.
——————————
After about 10 minutes of fighting, “Let Go” by Ark Patrol began playing. The trance-like feeling of the song drew you away from the fight. Your dustracted state gave Loki to create a clone of himself. Sneaking up behind you, he grabbed your neck and around your waist. His sudden movement and grip on your body paralyzed you, and your clones evaporated. The rest of the Avengers ran over to you and Loki. He must've been using magic, as you could no longer shift.
“Stop squirming.” He growled into your ear.
In return, you bit him. His clutch, however, was unwavering.
“I said to stop moving.” He hissed, his grip tightening.
He was choking you, and you were beginning to see stars. You lost and you'd been captured. The last thing saw before the world went black was the Avengers staring at you in awe and confusion.
Should I write a part 2? Maybe even make it into a longer series?

SH - John Watson x Reader - Better Late Than Never - Words: 2,679
A/N: This was the prompt: Reader went to med school with John, she liked him but never told him so. John gets deployed and they lose contact. A few years later they meet again because of a case.
"C'mon, Y/N," John laughed. "If you don't study for the test tomorrow, I won't give you the ice cream I bought!"
"Is it Death By Chocolate?" You replied, raising your head only slightly from it's spot on the floor.
"Maybe," He replied with a smirk. The two of you were in your dorm, trying to study for the quarter finals. You were in your 6th and final year of med school. You'd met about halfway through your 2nd year and had instantly become close friends. Small displays of affection were normal between the two of you, the type that best friends would share without giving a second thought. John didn't have a clue, but you had developed quite the crush on him. You never told him, though, for fear of messing up the one good friendship you had.
"John!" You groaned, dramatically sprawling out further on the carpet. "I think my brain has died." You had been trying to remember everything you'd studied and were coming up blank.
"Hm, I'm studying to be a doctor, not a coroner, but I would say time of death was somewhere between 6 years ago and now," He teased, leaning over you from his nearby perch on your futon. Pretending to be mad, you threw your foot up and kicked his leg.
"You git!" You exclaimed with a grin.
"Oi!" He replied, dramatically tumbling to the floor next to you. You both lost yourselves in a fit of giggles. You stopped laughing and just stared at him when your brain caught up with your eyes and you had one of your "moments". He looked so happy lying there next to you, laughing his head off. His hair was a mess, his jumper had gotten abit twisted and was creeping up his torso, and his eyes were bright with tears of laughter. "You ok, Y/N?" He asked when he noticed you had stopped laughing.
"Yeah, just thinking," You replied quickly.
"Ok, as long as it's nothing serious," He said. "Really, if anything is bothering you, you can talk to me. You've been zoning out more often recently so," He looked away, a bit embarrassed. "I was worried."
"I'm fine, John," You replied, not having the guts to tell him what was really on your mind.
About a year later, only 3 months after graduation, John called you. You still kept in touch, although you lived in different cities now, and your feelings hadn't changed. John had dated a few different girls but nothing ever worked out. You, though? You had gone on one date but left halfway through when the guy wouldn't shut up about himself and asked if you were splitting the check. John had told you he had applied at a small clinic near his apartment so you assumed his call was to update you on that. "Hey!" You said, picking up immediately.
"Uh, hey, Y/N," He said, sounding fairly upset. "Look, I," He sighed. "You remember that I enlisted a few months ago?"
"Yes," You replied, a lump forming in your throat.
"I've just gotten my deployment letter. They're sending me to Afghanistan. I leave this Friday." Silent tears streamed down your face and you found yourself unable to reply. "Y/N? Are you still there?" He asked.
"Yeah," You choked out. "Yeah, I'm still here, John. I, well, I guess I should wish you well then." You pinched the bridge of your nose and breathed deeply, trying to get ahold of yourself.
"Look, I know you're not a fan of the military but can't you at least congratulate me? This is something I wanted after all."
"Is it? Is it really?" You nearly yelled. "You didn't sound all that cheery two minutes ago when I picked up the phone! Besides, how could I congratulate you when all I can see is you getting blown to bits out there!"
"Sorry," He replied immediately. "That, that wasn't fair of me to ask." You both were silent for a moment before John spoke up again. "I'll write."
"Not with that handwriting you won't, " You replied, falling back into your regular banter.
"I'll try to make it legible for you," He promised. You nodded, though he couldn't see you, and started crying again.
"Alright," You said. "Can I drive over Friday and see you off?"
"Best not," He said. "I think it's better for both of us, yeah?" You reluctantly agreed. The two of you chatted for a few more minutes before saying goodbye. Shaking off the foreboding feeling that had settled on you, you continued with your day and started planning your first letter to him.
The first few weeks went well, his letters arriving regularly on Friday's without fail. Then one week it came on Monday instead, the next on Wednesday, and soon two weeks passed without a letter. When you finally received it, he said that they had gotten to a point where it was getting harder and harder to safely send a receive mail. He asked for you to stop all letters and promised to find you again when, or if, he got home. That night you wrote him one final letter but, of course, never sent it. You were determined to move on with life now but you promised yourself to never forget him.
"Good morning, Molly," You said walking into the hospital with her. You'd moved to London and gotten a job at St. Bart's, working in the outpatient clinic. A few weeks after starting there, you'd met Molly while on break. You exchanged numbers and started meeting in the cafeteria if you both had breaks at the same time. In time you met Sherlock. What an experience that had been. He immediately deduced which department you worked in, how long you'd been there, where you went to college, when you went to college and he even figured out that you'd been in love with someone in uni and never got over them. Needless to say, you were impressed. Ever since then he texted you occasionally for confirmation on medical related hypotheses.
"Good morning, Y/N," Molly replied.
"Have you heard from Sherlock recently? I haven't gotten any texts from him in the past few weeks." Molly chuckled and nodded.
"I've heard from him. He has a new flatmate. A doctor too!"
"Wow!" You replied. "Good for him! Let me know next time he comes by so I can meet him. I'd like to know who my replacement is," You teased. Molly giggled and you continued chatting as you walked over to the elevator. As the doors were about to close, you heard someone yell.
"Hold the lift!" You slammed the open doors button and Sherlock ran in. He nodded at you and you let go of the button. The doors started to slide closed again when another person called out.
"Sherlock!" You froze hearing that voice. You tried to get the doors in time but missed.
"Y/N?" Molly asked, worriedly. "Are you ok? You look like you've seen a ghost!" You nodded and leaned on the wall, trying to get yourself together. You decided to ride up to Molly's floor and see if Sherlock's friend came up on the next lift. Sherlock kept staring at you, confused, while you sat there waiting. A few minutes later, he came storming in the door.
"Sherlock! What were you thinking? Why didn't you hold the lift for me? I had to wait for the next one which happened to-"
"John," You gasped, amazed that it actually was him standing in front of you. "John!" You exclaimed, jumping up and running over.
"Y/N!" He replied, a grin spreading on his face. His smile faltered quickly though. "I," He said. "I need to be going. I forgot I had an appointment. Yeah. That's it. I'll see you at the flat, Sherlock." John quickly limped out the door and off to the elevator.
"He's the one, isn't he?" Sherlock said after a few moments. You nodded sadly.
"Why'd he run off like that?" You asked.
"Well it's obvious he didn't have an appointment. That leaves two possible reasons for his lying. One he could be-"
"Oh shut up, Sherlock!" You cried. "I know why he left. I-" You cut yourself off, choking back a sob. "Just sod it all! I need to go to work. I'll see you at lunch, Molly." You ran off, down the hall and to the elevator.
"Molly, I know that look in your eyes," Sherlock said once you'd left. "What are you planning?"
"The perfect set up. Now help me-"
"Molly," Sherlock interrupted her. "I may not understand a lot of things related to the topic of human relationships but I can tell you this, if either of us were to get involved, we may be maimed." Molly nodded in agreement.
Weeks went by and you worked harder than ever, taking extra shifts whenever you could. Your boss finally told you to take a week off to recharge. After much arguing, you relented and headed home for a week. Being alone all day, however, left your mind wandering. Thinking back to what might have been. To occupy your time, you decided to catch up with one of your good friends who lived nearby. You hadn't had the chance to hang out in some weeks but you texted each other every day. When you didn't hear from her yesterday, you worried but figured she probably was just tired. "Maybe she'll have some good advice for me," You told yourself. Knocking at her door, you checked your phone again to see if she had replied yet. Now you were really worried. You grabbed your spare key to her apartment and went in.
"What do you want?" Sherlock said, answering his phone.
"Sherlock, it-it's Y/N. Can you," You paused, taking a shaky breath. "Can you come down here please? I need your help. Lestrade's already on his way."
"On my way," He replied, grabbing his coat and scarf. "What happened?" As you explained to him everything, he grabbed John's coat and tossed it to him. John was mildly confused of course, but went along.
"I went in and found her in the bathroom," You told him. "I'm probably missing something obvious. I'm sorry," You cried.
"No, you're doing fine," Sherlock said genuinely. John looked at him surprised as they got into the cab, still not aware of who was on the other end of the call. "We'll be there in 7 minutes."
"We?" You asked. But Sherlock hung up before he answered.
"Y/N?" Greg said, coming up behind you. "I hate to say this but, we're going to need a statement. Do you want to wait till Sherlock gets here?"
"No, it's alright. Let's get it over with." A few minutes later, you'd told Greg everything you knew and he'd gone inside with the others to investigate. A cab pulled up and Sherlock rushed out. "Sherlock!" You exclaimed running up to him. As you approached, you saw another person getting out of the cab. "Why did you bring him?" You hissed.
"He's my assistant, flatmate and, if I have deduced correctly, a friend of both of us," Sherlock said.
"Look, that was years ago, I don't even know if-" You started whisper-yelling. You got cut off though when John walked up. You noticed he was limping again.
"John," Sherlock said. "I believe you're acquainted with Y/N. You're much better with people than I am," He stated briefly before going into the apartment.
"Y/N, I'm so sorry," John said once Sherlock left. You nodded, sitting down on a nearby bench before your legs gave way from exhaustion.
"She was a good friend of mine. I don't know what could have happened." John was quiet as he sat down next to you.
"Sherlock will figure it out. If anyone can, it's him," He finally said.
"That is for certain," You replied with a dry chuckle. "So how did you meet Sherlock?"
"Oh, well, you remember Mike Stamford?"
"From uni? Yeah, I remember him."
"Well, he introduced me to Sherlock. We were both in need of a flatmate and he matched us up." John paused for a moment, brows furrowed. "That sounds much too much like a bad dating ad. Mike got us together."
"Nope, that's worse," You replied chuckling.
"You understand."
"I think so," You finally replied. "So," You paused. You were so desperate to ask him more but you weren't sure if this was the best time. "Oh, well, nevermind. Glad that worked out." You quieted again, staring off down the street. John looked at you for a moment before clearing his throat.
"Right, yes. So, what have you been up to?"
"Work. I got a job at St. Bart's about 2 years ago. That's how I met Molly and therefore Sherlock." You were silent for a moment before adding one more thing. "I've missed you, John."
"I've missed you too," He admitted. "I'm sorry I didn't write or call when I got back. I-" He sighed and absently rubbed at his leg. "I couldn't. I was scared, if I'm being honest."
"Why? What happened?"
"You know we got sent into a very dangerous area. That's why I had to stop writing to begin with. But then, well, I got shot."
"Your leg?" You asked since he had been limping and rubbing at it.
"Ah, shoulder actually. The limp is psychosomatic. It comes and goes when I'm particularly worried or upset."
"Oh, I'm sorry," You said, not completely sure of what to say.
"I've been back in London for about a year. I looked you up actually. I found out you were working at Bart's. That's why I ran into Mike that day. I was in a park nearby, trying to work up the nerve to go and see you."
"Why didn't you?" You asked. He looked away, embarrassed. "Sorry, I shouldn't have-"
"No, it's ok. I should be honest." He ran a hand through his hair and chuckled nervously. "I was afraid of what you'd think of me. I didn't come back as some 'war hero'. I'm a washed up medic who can't even walk correctly."
"It's psychosomatic, right?" You asked, tilting your head slightly.
"Sherlock says so."
Well then, you have nothing to fear." He looked at you questioningly. "You know I never cared about the military so I could honestly care less if you came back known as some 'war hero' or not. You're not washed up, just look at you! Out here solving mysteries with the world's only Consulting Detective, Sherlock Holmes! And you can too walk right! You're just too scared to."
"I'm not so sure-" You interrupted him by leaning over and planting a kiss on his lips. Pulling away with a giggle you got up and ran a few feet away.
"You'll have to come here to get another!"
"Oh, you devil," He grinned. He got up and walked over to you quickly, picking you up, spinning you around and giving you another kiss. You laughed happily and leaned on his shoulder.
"See? You did just fine!"
"I suppose I did, didn't I?" He chuckled.
"Oh, John," You giggled. "I should have told you a long time ago. I love you, John Watson." He smiled from ear to ear.
"I love you too, Y/N L/N. But a crime scene isn't really the best place to do this at."
"Why not? We giggle at murders all the time?" Sherlock suddenly butted in.
"How long have you been standing there?" John yelled.
"Well," Greg suddenly said, a few feet away and holding up his phone. "This video is already 4 minutes long, so," He trailed off.
"John," You said, not taking your eyes off the two other men.
"Yes, love?" He asked as you reached for his hand.
"Let's get 'em." You then spent the rest of the afternoon chasing Sherlock and Greg around the neighborhood, enjoying their girly shrieks, until Mycroft showed up and put a stop to it. Later that evening, you and John were enjoying some Chinese takeaway back at your apartment.
"I really can't apologize enough for leaving you in the dark, Y/N," John said. "I should have written," He chided himself.
"It's alright, John," You assured him. "Actually, you just reminded me of something. Wait here a moment." You ran off to your room and pulled an envelope out of a small box in your desk. You returned to the living room and held it out to John. "This is for you. It was my last letter but," You paused, blushing lightly. "I never mailed it."
My Dear Captain Watson,
I hope you're doing well. I hope you're staying safe and helping as many as you can. I hope -
Oh what am I writing. John, there's something you should know and I wish I could tell you in person but better now than never I suppose.
I love you.
There. Feel free to never write me back again or return this with a 'Dear John' letter. Well, you know what I mean. I wish I could have said it better or sooner but I was scared to lose your friendship. Now I'm more scared of actually losing you.
John, please return safely. Even if we never speak again. The world should not be without John Watson.
All my love,
Y/N
"Y/N," John said, tears in his eyes after reading your letter. "Why didn't you send it?"
"Well, you had asked me not to write anymore since it was dangerous and," You paused, shaking your head sadly. "I chickened out again."
"Well, I guess what they say is true then." You looked at him quizzically as he pulled you close to him and leaned his forehead on yours. "Better late than never."

Down By The Boathouse🌸
Pairing: George Weasley x Reader
Word count:1.2k
Age: George is in 6th year you are in 4th year.
Playlist link:
Ao3 link
Summary: You go to Hogwarts and You’re best friends with Ginny Weasley. You fell in love with her older brother George and he had fallen for you but neither of you knew how the other felt until now...
You pulled your mid-length brown hair back into a low messy bun, allowing the smaller pieces to fall out and frame your round face. Your eyes traced your reflection in the mirror starting with the green irises of your almond shaped eyes below your perfectly arched brows, moving to your freckled covered button nose and rosy cheeks and down to your plump heart shaped lips which you applied a tinted gloss to.
You straightened your green and black tie and pulled on your black robes that proudly declared you were a Slytherin. You let out a sigh before you crept over to the door of your dorm. It was 5.30am at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry and the others in your dorm were fast asleep. Sleep had eluded you for the past 30 minutes and you couldn’t bare to stare up at your ceiling any longer. You’d decided to head down to your favourite spot with your copy of Emma by Jane Austen. You had just over an hour before breakfast would be served and the boathouse provided a serene atmosphere for submerging yourself into any piece of literature; your favourites being muggle works of fiction.
You snuck out of the castle and followed the winding path down to the boathouse. The air was crisp and cold pinched your cheeks. In the darkness, the smell of freshly cut grass was overwhelming. You stumbled a few times before you pulled out your 11 inch Ebony wand with Phoenix feather core and you whispered “Lumos” as if someone would hear you.
You’d finally made your way to the boathouse using your wand as a guide but still managed to stumble a few times. You put your wand away whispering “nox” to put out the light and as you walked up to the part of the dock you normally sit at, you noticed the silhouette of a tall boy.
“Hello?” You called out, sounding more like a question than a greeting.
The boy jumped slightly before he turned towards you. The moonlight bounced off his face and you recognised him as one of the older brothers to your best friend Ginny.
He was one of the twins and normally you needed to get closer to discern which one was which but you already knew that it was George Weasley who was an avid fan of late night/early morning strolls.
“You joining me?” He called to you, his voice still husky revealing he’d not been awake all that long either. The scratch of his voice had made your stomach flip. You’d been in love with George since 2nd year. You’d been staying with the Weasley’s for a few weeks that summer whilst your parents went on a work trip. As usual, the Weasley boys were competitive and they’d decided to have a game of Quidditch. It was during this match you’d taken a fall from your broom because of George. He’d felt so guilty he spent the rest of the week taking care of you and making you laugh. You were convinced that he thought you were nothing more than his little sister’s friend.
You nervously put one foot in front of the other and made your way over to him. You sat yourself down, your left knee gently touched his right and you had almost let out an audible gasp at the contact. He smelt of fireworks, the wood of a broomstick and a touch of butter beer. You inhaled deeply, not knowing the next chance you’d ever get to be this close to him.
“Couldn’t sleep either?” He asked you, breaking your dazed state. All you could manage was a nod. You’d found yourself too scared to speak and hardly being able to focus on anything other than his leg on yours. He looked down at you, curiosity on his face. Speechless was not your usual state. His eyes took in your appearance and you felt a blush creep across your cheeks as if you were being scrutinised. You looked up to meet George’s eyes and a mischievous grin flickered across his face.
“ Is there a reason you’re so tongue-tied?” He teased you as his eyes glinted daringly. He leaned back on the palms of his hands, this pushed his leg further into yours.
“Oh, just tired.” You manage to stutter out. You decided to lean back on your own palms so you were more comfortable and so it appeared casual. George’s eyes had followed your every move. You played to it as you found his attention deliciously intoxicating. You stretched out a little forcing your chest out slightly. He cleared his throat and withdrew his gaze, shifting his eyes to the water that was gently rising and falling.
George shifted on his palms and his little finger grazed yours. He lingered there for a few seconds before he rested it in the ground, still maintaining contact. You studied his face unsure of what your next move should be but all you could think about was how much you wished his lips were pressed against your own.
His gaze fell to your book that you had placed on your knee when you’d sat down.
“Emma? You and your muggle books” he laughed. “What’s this one about?”
You had then launched into a 10 minute speech telling him the entire plot in extreme detail. As you fawned over everything from plot devices to character development, George had listened intently, his eyes occasionally dropping to your lips before he refocused them on your eyes.
“Sorry.” You had apologised after you’d exhausted your knowledge on the novel.
“You wanted a brief description not a whole essay.” You chuckled nervously, breaking eye contact as heat returned to your cheeks. As you’d looked away a strand of hair that had escaped your messy bun had fallen across your face.
George reached up a long, slender finger and tucked the piece behind your ear.
“No need to apologise. You’re never more beautiful than when you talk about something you love.” His tone had become serious.
You’d frozen in place as you’d tried to register what he’d said. You’d all but convinced yourself he wasn’t paying you a compliment when he continued talking, this time more nervous.
“You do this thing where, urm, your nose scrunches and your eyes go wide and sparkly and you make really big, expressive hand gestures.” He had then paused. “ I always find myself jealous of the things you talk about.” He sighed and then gently turned your chin, his fingers barely touching your face like you were the most delicate thing on the planet, so that you were forced to meet his deep brown eyes.
“ I find myself longing for you to be talking about me in that way. Passionate, full of love.”
He’d let his voice trail off, scared that he’d confessed too much but he continued to search your eyes for any clue of what you thought.
Without even realising it, you had found yourself leaning towards him. Your lips found his in an explosion of heat and longing. This had said how you felt in a way that your words never could. Desire and content had flowed in every movement of your lips on his. Every gasp and every hitch of your breath and only encouraged George to deepen the kiss more until you both pulled away breathless.
You stared into his eyes once more before saying “ You, George Weasley, have and will always be my favourite thing to talk about.” You gently brushed your lips on his, rested your head on his chest and gazed up at the moon.

There wasn’t much to know about her soulmate after their first meeting. He had approached her with his pack while she was trying to cast a protective spell on Forks. The pack were angry when they first saw her, baring their teeth and ready to attack. She was preparing a get away when one of the wolves stepped forward. His eyes were wide, as if he were in a trance. He had approached her, slowly and cautiously, before rubbing against her.
She wasn’t sure how she figured out that he was her soulmate. She just knew. There was a feeling she had the moment he began to rub his giant head against her, like all she wanted to do was to protect him and keep him safe. There was an unspoken agreement throughout the pack that they would not hurt (Y/N), and left instead, running as fast as possible in the other direction. Her wolf stopped long enough to look at her, longingly, over his shoulder, before he followed the pack.
Under any normal circumstances, (Y/N) would’ve thought she’d never meet her soulmate face to face, unless it was a chance encounter. But, lucky for her, both of them were anything but normal.
(Y/N) found a hair from the wolf left on her clothes, which was all she needed to cast a tracking spell. She waited until night fall as to not draw any attention to herself, and night made her spells more dramatic sometimes. She sat on the floor of her small house and closed her eyes. She focused solely on her memory of the wolf; his dark silver fur, his light brown eyes, his towering form as he approached her.
In her hand, (Y/N) held the hair that the wolf had left on her. She whispered the spell, her voice soft but focused. She began to see a vision of a house, a small house. She could see young men approaching the house, and a woman with a horribly scarred face; she was young but she was like a mother to them. She could see that the house was surrounded by forest, and there was no clear number or address of where it was.
“Come on,” she whispered to herself before continuing her spell.
Before she knew it, she was seeing the exact path from the small house to her own. She frantically grabbed for the pen and paper she had left for herself and quickly drew the route as it played over for her once more. Once she had it drawn, her eyes snapped open and she gasped. As she tried to regain her breath, she looked down to see a perfect map from her house to the place where her soulmate was. She looked at it for a long time before smiling.
In the morning, she would embark on her adventure, and she would find her soulmate.
~~~~~~
(Y/N) slowed the car to a stop in front of the house from her vision. There was barley any sign of life besides smoke coming from a chimney. There were no cars, none of the young men from her vision, nor the mother like woman. It seemed empty and she wondered if she was too late.
She got out of the car and approached the house. Her mind was screaming at her to turn around and to leave again. There was a chance she was at the wrong place, or her wolf soulmate and his pack had already up and left before she found them, but she had to know for sure. She couldn’t leave without getting some form of answers.
She knocked on the door and waited for any movement inside. (Y/N) mentally cursed at herself for not bringing the hair in case she had to do another spell. It would’ve been easier to find him from there and not to have to go all the way back to her house for a stupid hair. Luckily for her, however, the scarred woman answered the door.
(Y/N) was shocked and realized she hadn’t prepared anything to say. How did she explain why she was there without sounding insane? Lamely, she managed to force herself to say, “Hi.”
The woman looked her up and down a moment before saying, “So, you’re the one Paul won’t shut up about.”
(Y/N) was taken back by the comment. So his name was Paul, and he hadn’t stopped talking about her since their brief meeting? “I think so, I haven’t exactly gotten to know much about him yet.”
The woman smiled warmly at her. “Come in.”
She poured (Y/N) a cup of tea and introduced herself as Emily, the fiancee of the pack leader, Sam.
“The silver wolf that rubbed against you was Paul,” she explained as the two women sat at the table in the kitchen. “He’s the third in command of the pack, and the most impulsive one. The boys were shocked that he didn’t go right for an attack when he saw you.”
“That’s comforting,” (Y/N) said with an awkward chuckle.
“They didn’t know what you are,” Emily explained. “You’re a new entity to them, and you were in their territory. They were willing to protect the territory from whatever you were.”
(Y/N) nodded. That did make sense, but now she felt uncomfortable sitting in the house of a pack of werewolves if it meant they might attack her.
The sound of male voices approaching the house drew the attention of both women. (Y/N) was tempted to flee before they arrived, but she wanted to meet Paul face to face. She wanted to see the human face of her soulmate, to learn more about him, and she didn’t want to fear his friends.
The men came into the house, roughhousing and laughing. They all seemed to stop simultaneously when they noticed that Emily wasn’t alone, and they came to recognize who was sat with her.
“Gentlemen,” Emily started, smiling softly at them. “This is (Y/N).”
One of the men stepped away from the group to approach her. (Y/N) rose from her seat, looking deep into his brown eyes. It didn’t take long to clue in that this was her wolf, her soulmate. She could tell just by looking at him.
“You found us,” he finally said. His voice sounded like music to her ears.
She chuckled. “I did. You left a helpful hint behind on my clothes.”
(Y/N) held out the silver fur that Paul had left on her. He looked at her in amazement, wanting to reach out to touch her to prove that she was real. He hesitated. This was the first time they were truly meeting, he didn’t want to scare her away so quickly.
“How did you find us?” one of the pack members asked.
“And what are you?” another added. (Y/N) could tell by the authority in his voice that he was the alpha, Sam.
“I’m a witch,” she responded. “As far as I know I’m the only of my kind here in Forks.”
The pack looked skeptical, except for Paul, who was still entranced by (Y/N).
“I’m not here to hurt anyone,” she continued. “When you caught me in the field, I was casting a protective spell over Forks. I’ve heard of the animal attacks, the ones that aren’t exactly animals. I was hoping to cast a spell to protect the people of Forks and to cast whatever, or whoever, is behind those attacks out. You interrupted me when you arrived.”
“Forks doesn’t need your witchy voodoo, they have us,” one of the younger members of the pack spoke.
“Embry,” Sam said, sternly. He turned to face Paul and the two of them shared a look. “I think you two should talk in private.”
Paul turned to (Y/N) to ask, “Want to go for a walk?”
~~~~~~
The two walked in silence through the woods for some time. Neither really knew what to say. What do you say when you’re meeting your soulmate for the first time?
“I feel like we both have a lot of questions,” Paul finally said, breaking the tense silence.
“Not many I can think of, but I’m sure more will come up,” (Y/N) agreed. “What do you want to know?”
“Why did you come find me?”
“Witches believe that everyone has a soulmate, but when you’re a witch or a wizard, you actually know when you’ve met your soulmate. There’s this feeling of electricity when you touch for the first time, a desire to spend all your time with that person, to know as much about them as you possibly could. I was hoping to be able to actually talk to you, but you and the pack ran off so quickly. I was left to my own devices to find you.”
“A spell, I’d assume.”
(Y/N) nodded. “There’s a spell to track people, but only to where they normally reside. There’s no way to track them to their exact location, which is why I took a chance coming here to see if I could find you.”
Paul moved in close enough that his arm brushed (Y/N). She felt another spark of electricity, confirming her suspicions that he was supposed to be her soulmate.
“About the pack,” she continued. “Emily mentioned that I was in your territory, and usually the pack attacks non-humans in their territory. Why didn’t you guys attack me? Why were you so reserved when you approached me?”
“Shifters also have something like soulmates, except we call it Imprinting,” Paul explained. “It came happen whenever, to whoever. There’s never a warning, a premonition. You see the person and you just...you know. You’re connected to them for life, whether it’s romantically, platonically, in a sort of brotherly way. However the person they’ve imprinted on wants them to be. Once someone in the pack has imprinted, there’s this rule that the rest of the pack leaves that person alone. Even if you were something dangerous, the pack would have to leave you be since I imprinted on you.”
(Y/N) nodded along to Paul’s explanation. “Anything the imprintee wants to be, huh?”
Paul stopped and turned to look at her, causing (Y/N) to stop walking as well. “Anything, which leads to the question of us. What do you want us to be?”
(Y/N) didn’t take much time to think it over. Instead, she took Paul’s face in her hands and pulled him to her, pressing her lips against his. It caused that stereotypical feeling of fireworks that is always mentioned in romance novels, except (Y/N) new that was the electricity of their soulmate bond.
Paul held her to him as he pulled away, resting his forehead against hers.
“Is that a good enough answer?” she asked, a cheeky grin on her face.
Paul smiled back. “That was the answer I was hoping for.”

Jessa is Expecting Again!
She Also Suffered A Miscarriage Last Year.
Tumblr media
On Thursday, February 18, 2021, Jessa (Duggar) + Ben Seewald shared (via E! Online) that they’re expecting a “rainbow baby”—thereby, announcing both an imminent arrival and a recent loss.  So far, they haven’t revealed much data, at all...  Read on for my attempt to analyze the few facts we do know!
When Did Jessa Miscarry?
According to the Seewalds, they suffered a miscarriage “last year”—i.e., 2020.  Obviously, that’s not very specific...
Already, I’ve received multiple Asks speculating that Jessa might’ve miscarried in September, because of that Instagram Post where Spurgeon, Henry, and Ivy were wearing “Brother / Sister Bee” shirts.  (At the time, many thought that the cutesy, matchy–match t–shirts would be used for a pregnancy announcement, especially after we discovered that the same company made a matching onsie saying “Baby Bee.”  But, an announcement never came...  Y’all’s theory is that the Seewalds planned to use the t–shirts for that announcement, but then lost the pregnancy.)  It’s possible that this is the case; however, there’s no concrete proof, at this point.  It’s just speculation.  And, even if we knew that the t–shirts were intended to be used for a pregnancy announcement, their appearance on Instagram in September doesn’t tell us much about the Date of Loss.  Was the photo from the day of the photo shoot, and Jessa posted it—not thinking we’d notice the matchy–match shirts?  Did she miscarry before, and decide to dress the children in the shirts one day afterwards, randomly?  Did she miscarry after, but before they publicly announced with photos featuring the shirts?  We don’t know, at this point.
It’s definitely an interesting theory, though!  Y’all have a good memory...  I had totally forgotten about the “Brother / Sister Bee” shirt episode.
Tumblr media
When is Jessa’s Due Date?
So far, the Seewalds haven’t actually said...  They told E! Online (and TLC) they “can hardly wait to hold this little one in our arms this summer.”  On Instagram, Jessa also mentioned that the baby is due in the “summertime.”  Finally, and a bit more specifically, Jessa stated in a TLC–exclusive clip that she’s “out of the first trimester.”  The 2nd Trimester begins in Week 13...  So, from what Jessa + Ben have shared, we can confidently say that the Due Date is in Summer 2021 and Jessa is at least 13 Weeks Along.
Other than what they’ve said, we have one other clue, so far—the ultrasound / sonogram featured in the Pregnancy Announcement.  And then, of course, we can always turn to the data for clues!
Let’s analyze all the clues, one at a time, starting with...
“Summer.”   Seewald #4 is apparently due in “summertime,” “this summer”—i.e., Summer of 2021.  As for when that is...  It depends who you ask!  Most of us, and meteorologists, would argue that “summer” encompasses all of June, July, and August, and that’s all.  But astronomically–speaking, “summer” runs from the Summer Solstice (~June 21) to Autumnal Equinox (~September 22)—both of which are defined by the relative position of the Earth and Sun.
Which definition does Jessa use?  I’d be tempted to just assume that, like the vast majority of people, she just means ‘June, July, or August.’  But, actually...  Prior evidence suggests otherwise.  When Jessa + Ben announced Pregnancy #3 (Ivy), Jessa said she was due “late this spring.”  Eventually, they shared the exact Due Date—June 5, 2019.  Astronomically, June 5th is ‘late spring,’ since it’s before the Summer Solstice; however, by the leading definition, June 5th is considered ‘early summer,’ since it is in June...  So, maybe Jessa does use an astronomical definition, rather than just ‘June, July, and August.’
A Possible Due Date Range for ‘summer’ would be June 1—August 31, 2021, for most people; however, for astronomists, and maybe for Jessa, it would be June 21—September 22, 2021.  Either way, this doesn’t narrow things down much.
“Out of The 1st Trimester.”   On February 18, 2021, TLC released a video clip to accompany Jessa + Ben’s Pregnancy Announcement.  In the video, about 5 Seconds in, Jessa says she’s relieved to be “out of the first trimester.”  The 1st Trimester runs through Week 12.  So, apparently, Jessa was at least 13 Weeks Along, when the video was filmed.
Since we don’t know when the video was filmed, all we say for sure is that she was at least 13 Weeks Along on February 18, 2021, when the video came out.  Doing the math, Jessa’s Latest Possible Due Date is August 26, 2021.  Sadly, this doesn’t rule out much the ‘summer’!
The Ultrasound.   Jessa + Ben posed with a photo of a 3D ultrasound for this Pregnancy Announcement.  This gives us a small hint!
Thanks to Google, Duggar Data discovered that there aren’t a lot of options in Northwest Arkansas, when it comes to getting a 3D ultrasound...  Actually, it’s just two options—Babyface & More Ultrasound Studio in Rogers, AR; or Hello Baby! Ultrasound Studio in Fayetteville, AR.  Jessa + Ben went to Babyface & More; the words “Babyface & More” appear on the top of the their ultrasound photo.  (It’s fuzzy, but it’s there!  Here’s a much clearer photo of a Babyface & More ultrasound, which isn’t Jessa’s, for reference.)  (Note—Reference Photo was publicly posted on Instagram, with Babyface & More tagged.  Identifying information has been removed, and the baby’s face has been obscured.)  Per Babyface & More’s website, they offer 3D ultrasound starting in Week 14.  So, we know that Jessa was at least 14 Weeks Along on the Ultrasound Date.
Okay...  But, when was that?  Well...  Sleuthing regarding the Reference Photo reveals that the Ultrasound Date is listed in the top right of Babyface & More’s ultrasounds.  (It’s not the Due Date, it’s the Ultrasound Date.)  Looking back at Jessa’s...  Unfortunately, the date in the top right is really, really blurry.  Duggar Data thinks the middle number might be ‘25.’  That’s all I can say with any sort of confidence.  I can’t make out the other two numbers, at all.  Rats!
But, let’s just go with what we’ve got...  Let’s assume that the middle number is ‘25.’  That could be January 25, December 25, November 25, etc.  But, it’s almost certainly January 25, 2021.  December 25 was Christmas; Babyface & More probably wasn’t open.  As for November 25...  That’s getting to be a bit too long ago.  If Jessa was 14 Weeks Along on November 25, 2020, she’d be due by Late May, and that’s not “summer.”  So...  Let’s go with January 25th!  Jessa would’ve been at least 14 Weeks Along on that date, which means that her Latest Possible Due Date would be July 26, 2021.  We’re getting closer!
The Data.  Ah yes, the data...  My specialty!  Here’s how far along Jessa was for public Pregnancy Announcements 1–3—
#1 / Spurgeon   86 Days Along  (Due November 1, 2015.)
#2 / Henry   117 Days Along  (Due February 2, 2017.)
#3 / Ivy   133 Days Along  (Due June 5, 2019.)
Taking the average, it’s 112 Days Along.  If that’s how far along Jessa was this time, her Due Date would be August 5, 2021.  But you also may have noticed, she announces later and later, each time.  It’s 24 Days later, on average.  So...  Let’s assume that with Pregnancy #4 she waited 24 Days Longer than she did with Ivy...  That’d mean she announced at 157 Days Along and is due on June 21, 2021.  The Seewalds will beat their record for Earliest or Latest Pregnancy Reveal if Jessa is due after September 1, 2021, or before July 15, 2021.
Looking at the Overall Duggar Family Data...  If this Pregnancy Announcement was exactly–typically timed, then Jessa’s Due Date is August 23, 2021.  They would set a new, family–wide record for Earliest or Latest Pregnancy Reveal if the Due Date is after September 26, 2021, or before May 17, 2021.
TL;DR.   We really don’t know...  Sometime this summer.  Definitely by August 26.  We need an Approximate Due Date, but we really don’t have enough data yet...  I’m going to hold off on picking one, and on the rest of the data analysis, until we get more information.
I’ll keep y’all updated.  Come on, Jessa!  Give us some details!

Debonair
((yes, I’m posting yesterday’s yet again at too late an hour because of screenshots... and adding a bit to this one after I submitted because I’m procrastinating on the last prompt because I have NO CLUE.  Apologies to the man in blue, for I could not summon my chocobo inside, nor have a 2nd person in here to crime into him.  so.... escort only.  >.>  This... just kinda happened.  Playing fast and loose with canon a bit, but... ah well.  3.2ish? maybe beginning of 3.3?  Post Grand Melee. ::nodnod:: ))
Stepping carefully down the stairs of Fortemps Manor, Karoiseka was concentrating on not slipping and falling all the way down, wearing slightly heeled dress boots that were not her normal style.  The long dress she wore was cut scandalously high up her thigh, though she had made sure to wear something under to stay more modest (and for that point, warm).  The back cut showed off her shoulders, and she shivered briefly as a breeze blew in from the front door, letting in more guests.
Tumblr media
The event was to celebrate the win in the Grand Melee put on by the combined Grand Company of Eorzea, she was the Champion and guest of honor--not that she wanted to be there at all.  Raubahn had given her quite the workout in his ring of fire, forcing her to dance around every attack, flames fulms away from her back.  She luckily hadn’t burned, though the backs of her shoulders and neck were a tad rosier than the rest of her.  She had enjoyed the melee itself, but this party after was not something she felt comfortable with.  Quiet gatherings with friends were one thing, but formal affairs with half the Ishgard nobility in attendance was something else altogether.  Luckily, she knew that what Scions that were found would be there, as would the visiting Leaders of the other City-States; all of which she knew fairly well.  It was all that kept her from locking her door and refusing to come down at all.
Karo came around the final landing to the main floor, and her cheeks blossomed to  match the skin on her back.  There at the bottom of the stairs, flanking in silver and sable hair were Thancred and Aymeric, obviously waiting for her.  They had both changed out of their normal fighting clothes as well, and looked quite debonair in suits, obviously tailored for them.  Taking extra care in the final dozen steps or so, she made her way down to them, a shy smile to Thancred who was not so subtly appreciating seeing her in something else than her leathers.  Aymeric’s smile was no less friendly, and Karo couldn’t help but poke him in the ribs, play-scowling to relieve some of her tension.
“Was this all truly necessary?” She was only half whining as Thancred held out an arm to escort her into the party, the Lord Commander half bowing while chuckling.
“Why of course!  Having yet another joyous occasion to celebrate necessitates such!” The Elezan fell into step next to them down the wide hall.
“You know most of the people in attendance actually,” Thancred chimed in, “This is actually one of two parties happening currently, and was by invitation only,” Karo didn’t need to see his face to hear the mischievous smile that graced it.  “That Tataru somehow got away with that and didn’t offend anyone is practically a miracle!”  Turning to smile down at her, Karo answered with a relieved grin of her own, a little more energy in her step.  It did explain how much quieter the house was than she was expecting for the size crowd, and would have to thank Tataru when she found her--even if it wasn’t specifically for her.
The large double-doors to the ballroom at the end of the hall were closed, and Karo had but a moment to realize how strange that was moments before they reached them.  Aymeric had taken two extra long steps to pull slightly ahead of the Scion pair, a roguish smirk upon his face.  He knocked loudly on the door three times, then swung open the double doors widely.
Tumblr media
“SURPRISE!  HAPPY NAMEDAY!” Shouts from all corners of the room echoed out from familiar faces.  Heart racing, Karo realized it was a very good thing Thancred had such a good hold on her arm, because she wasn’t sure which was more likely; her turning and running from the attention, or her knees buckling from the shock.  She could see in the room, the Raubahn, Merlywb, and Kan-E-Senna all to one side, laughing smiles gracing their faces.  It was so good to see them relaxed and happy for once.  Her Ishgardian family and hosts, the Fortemps were on the other side of the room, the Lord, his sons, and almost the entire staff was there as well, bringing a relieved smile to Karo’s face.  That proved how casual this gathering was actually going to be compared to some of the other “galas” she had already gotten dragged to over the past year.  Tataru was standing front and center in front of a table with a giant cake, looking inordinately proud of herself due to Y’shtola and Urianger sitting behind her.  How she had persuaded the two guardians of the Scions homes to relinquish their duties for the time to get here, celebrate and return, Karo couldn’t fathom, but, just seeing them was a gift better than all the well-wishes already given.  Several more familiar faces filled out the crowd, Lucia and Hilda waving from the back, and even Cid and the Ironworks crew were mixed in.
“Come now, you honestly didn’t think we wouldn’t find out, with Tataru around, did you?”  Thancred’s voice finally broke her shock, as she could feel the tears starting to roll down her cheeks.  She hadn’t really ever made a big deal of her Namedays since joining the Scions, letting them pass as just another day--though perhaps getting a treat for herself if she thought about it or had the time.  Tugging her hand away from Thancred, the walls she had on her emotions broke, hiding her happy tears behind her hands as she quietly sobbed, the room sweeping around her wrapping her in a blanket of love.

Word of Honor Ending thoughts.
Alrighty, I think the time has come to talk about the ending of Word of Honor, it has been a wild ride being with the show and patiently waiting for new episodes. I can say that Word of Honor is one of those shows that DELIVERED and did not waste my time.
it’s not a masterpiece by a long shot but the heart and dedication put into this production just shone through and I know even we as viewers could see that. As a farewell to the drama that kept my BL loving heart alive i’ll be analizing the ending, from episode 34 to the end. i might talk about episode 37 in another post.
and without further ado, let’s analize.
I will be dividing this analysis into 4 parts:
1st: The right things we got from our last theories.
2nd: The wrong things we got from our last theories.
3rd. The plot and why I think it doesn’t take away everything formt he show.
4th: two part endings.
Part 1: The Right
The first thing we got right is the timeline. Shen Shen and Da Wu stood up in defense for Wen Kexing’s rushed plan. They needed to execute it in the heroes conference as the important people of the martial arts world would be there to witness everything. Shen Shen had stepped up to confess that the fake death was needed to let Zhao Jing’s guard down which worked wonderfully.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To add to that, Da Wu also confessed that he was a part of the reason why Wen Kexing did not tell Zishu, and this was because he needed to rest and not get into a fight.
Tumblr media
this lead to our second theory being right, Wen Kexing was understndably worried and decided to just not tell him the plan, it is unclear if Da Wu knew of the entire plan or if he was only told some of it like A-Xiang, that would explain why he did not get to stop Zhou Zishu from leaving thinking everything would be okay as long as he gave the medicine to Zhou Zishu to cure any fatal wounds.
I think that about covers the right theories we have, now for the pther side of the spectrum which are the theories we got wrong.
Part 2: Wrongs
First we have Chengling and shen Shen, we were wrong in theorizing that it was Ye Bai Yi who told him of the plan, instead he was told of the plan by Wen Kexing when he returned to Shen Shen to explain everything to him (Keep in mind this is when he had finally rescued Zhou zishu and Chengling undoubtedly finally knew that Wen Kexing was the ghost valley chief after he was dropped off)
Tumblr media
So this could potentially solidify our previous theory that Chengling sent that messenger in haste after he was told, it was already too late to call that messenger back when Wen Kexing explained. So what probably happened was Wen Kexing dropped Chengling off to Shen Shen, saved Zhou Zishu while Chengling was told of Wen Kexing’s identity prompting him to send the messenger and then finally Wen Kexing coming back to explain everything, and so that led to Zhou Zishu going out to search for him.
Second it was Wen Kexing who went to Ye Bai yi to negotiate on things and what to do to execute the plan. Wen Kexing only wanted to expose his enemy, not kill hundreds of people and this convinced Ye Bai Yi to help him, in return Wen Kexing will eventually shut down the ghost valley.
i think that is all we have for the wrongs, there is no clear evidence if the letter about the heroes conference is a clue to justify our last theory but I think it was just basically a warning to Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu and let them know they may be potentially in danger of being hunted down by Zhao Jing.
and now we go to the last part. The plot.
Part three: The Plot.
Despite the Romeo and Juliet style of things, I don’t think it takes away everything that we had built up with the characters. If you take away the “Not telling Zhou Zishu;’ about the plan part it wouldn’t changed the fact that they were all in constant battle for the armoury key. in my opinion I think the writer made the safest route to lead to the ending. the conflict may be forced and I think there could be other plots that could have worked, but in their environment and how things are in their situation everything fell OUT of place and INTO place at the same time. If you think about it, if Zhou Zishu had not taken out the nails there would be no drive or urgency to go for the armory to shut down scorpion would lead to scorpion king realizing he had been cheated of the key and would undoubtedly lead an army to capture Wen Kexing. and the cycle would continue UNTIL they get the key. If Zhou Zishu had not killed the scorpion King and everyone in their alliance on that mountain they would not have been able to reach the armoury in time to heal Zhou Zishu as neither of them actually knew JUST where the armoury is. everything fell out of place (episode 32-33) then fell INTO place (34-36) and despite which ending you prefer it is up to you to choose that is why we were given the first and second (true) ending. Ye Bai Yi had also started withering the moment he started eating normal foods and is happy to live the rest of his life eating happily after he had finally completed both missions he had in mind.
now we move on the the last part.
Part 4: Two Endings.
Okay, admittedly the ending in episode 36 left SO MUCH questions rather than answers and that was what drove fans scratching their heads in confusion and going “What just happened?” only to be bombarded with a second ending that completely said “Fuck it we going the immortal route, let’s give them a happy ending”
The reason for the first ending is an ambiguous open ending. nothing was made clear and specified of the two masters that practice the cultivation technique made it out alive, and even Xiaoling wad depicted as a motherly figure even though Chengling said that he only saw her as an elder sister. the producers and screenwriters opted actually to have only one true ending and that was the two of our main leads being immortals. BUT this did not get past cencorship (sadly) the reason for that weird cut in the was because they had planned to to put the true ending after the scene of the kids walking away from the frame but since you know cencosrhip and everything. BUT if you look closely, Chengling’s lines are EXTREMELY over dubbed, if you take a look at AvenueX’s video where she talked about the ending and the dubbing and why it was confusing to the fans (Bless her soul) She had stated that because of production reasons again they had to cut out at least 3 to 4 minutes of the ending to please the censorship, they refused to have a sad ending of course and so with a lil bit of dubbing magic or vaguely translated words, they played the ending and made it an open one for the audience to interpret (this is one of the ways they had manipulated the loopholes of cencorship) and with hardcore Wenzhou fans getting their happy ending for episode 37 Thus concluding the story of Word Of Honor.
thus now we come to a close to our analysis for the last 3 episodes of the drama. Thank you so much for reading this far. if you guys have anything you want to talk to me about i am open to hearing your opinions, ideas and even future discussion topics that you want me to do. But until then i will now close this analysis and giving out gratitude to everyone who worked for WOH. more power to the cast and staff and more power to Youkou with loads of other shows in the future. Thank you once again, Peace.

“I’m glad we both have found back to you.”
     ____________________________________________________
Preamble: Sooo... our BluesBrothers Discord Server made me do it. I wrote my first very own fanfic. 😊 It has gotten a lot longer than I intended it to be, so please bear with me, if there’s not too much going on in part 1 but part 2 will follow asap :)

The story takes place before the movie and before Jake went to jail for sticking up a gas station.
It was one of those afternoons Kelsey spent at the Soul Food Cafe at West Maxwell Street. She was sitting at her “regular” table at the window, sipping a cup of coffee and listening to those beautiful tunes from John Lee Hooker and a few other musicians who were performing outside in the streets. Occasionally she took a look at the opened book in her lap but couldn’t seem to focus on anything she read. If only he would stop staring.
Across the room 2 guys were seated dressed like Hasidic diamond merchants, black suit and tie, black hat, black boots, they even wore their dark sunglasses inside. Kelsey wondered if she had seen them before, surely they must have caught her eye. In any case one thing was certain. The taller one was permanently watching her. Although he was wearing his glasses she could feel his eyes on her and it annoyed the young woman to no end. She usually came her after work to relax and calm down but being watched certainly didn’t make that any easy. From the corner of her eye she saw the tall one getting up and walking over to her table. “Hiya, how are you doing? I’ve seen your face a couple of times before.” Slowly the girl turned her head from looking out the window to the man who, without asking, took the seat at the other side of the table. “Err… Hi, thanks I’m… doin’ good?” Was that a question? Get a grip girl “I spend quite a few afternoons here, that’s right. What about you?” As the man spoke the blonde girl took a closer look at him. He was actually kinda cute, well, from what you could see under all those black accessories. “Same here. Me and my brother play in a band”, he said as he pointed to the shorter guy who still sat at their table but gave Kelsey a small nod. “The two guys in the kitchen are also in our band, they work here for some side cash.” She chuckled “Sounds like your band isn’t in great demand then.” He gave her back a little smile “You know some times are easier and some are tougher on us. It ain’t easy out there. But perhaps you’ve heard of us…? The Blues Brothers?” The girl shrugged her shoulders. “Well, one more reason to come by when we’re playing our next gig. This Saturday we’re at the…” He got interrupted by his brother, who was standing in the door, followed by a slightly pale, thin man with long, blonde and fluffy hair and a dark skinned, very muscular guy in a tight shirt. “You comin El?” “Yeah s-sure!” He assured the three men then turned back his attention to Kelsey. “Listen I gotta go, we’re on our way to rehearsal. Can I meet you again sometime? How about tomorrow, same time, same table?” And before Kelsey could agree or disagree the strange dressed man was dragged on his collar and out of the cafe by his brother.
“Jake we weren’t finished you know?” His brother sighed “I love you Elwood but you’ve been working up the courage to talk to that girl for what feels like weeks now. Thought you’d speed it up just a little once you finally did make a move.” Elwood looked shyly to the side “Yeah.. it’s just, you know I’m looking for something serious, that takes some time.” “I do. And I do want you to be happy. But I don’t wanna be late for rehearsal, everyone will blame me again, when it clearly was your fault.” Jake joked and gave his brother a soft bump with his elbow. The next day Kelsey left work, as she checked the time she still felt unsure about what to do. Usually she would go to the cafe but then again there could be that guy waiting for her. Was he even coming? Kelsey never agreed on meeting him again though. Did she even want to meet him again? He definitely was cute and I barely know any people in this city beside my coworkers, so why not? And so she found herself sitting at “her” table again, waiting for the man in his suit to show up. When the doorbell of the cozy dine up rang she was torn from her thoughts but greeted with a friendly smile by him. “I wasn’t even sure you’d come but here you are, I’m so glad.”, the handsome man spoke as he took a seat. “My name’s Elwood by the way.” “Hi, I’m Kelsey. Yeah you got torn away rather quickly yesterday.” “Sorry for that, today I’m all yours. We only rehearse on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So.. you enjoy music?” “Oh absolutely. I adore jazz and blues and cannot do much with today’s music to be honest. I don’t know anyone who feels the same so this feels like my sanctuary. Did you grow up in Chicago” And so Elwood told Kelsey about the St. Helen orphanage where he and Jake grew up, how they became interested in music and founded the band. And Kelsey told him how she was raised in NewYork and only moved to Chicago a couple of weeks ago since she needed to leave NY and her past behind, to make a fresh start.
A couple of days later Elwood and Kelsey met for their 2nd date. They agreed on Kelsey picking him up right after rehearsal and they’d go out for dinner. Fortunately there was enough time for her to go back home after work and before her date. She took a shower and made sure to take extra care of her blonde, curly hair. Typical. When it matters those curls do what they want. She decided on her favourite dress, a black sleeved gown with golden ornaments, tied around her waist with a cute matching belt, ending just above her knee and a pair of black laced boots. Kelsey rarely felt self-confident. Over the years she did realise that she was pretty but her figure always made her feel unsexy. She wasn’t much overweighted but simply curvy, with a wider hip and some bigger thighs and butt. That dress though made her feel pretty, so she was satisfied with her look in the end as she left the house with a few butterflies in her stomach.
The young woman took a glance at the note the musician gave her and looked rather insecure at the building in front of her. No doubt this was the address Elwood had written down for her but this looked nothing like a place for rehearsal. Well, how does Bo Diddley state so well in one of my faves songs “Can’t judge a book by it’s cover” She started humming the tune as she entered the old, abandoned-looking building. Not having a clue in which room the band was practising she simply followed the sound of music and as she got closer and the sound become clearer she could identify the song. It was “Green Onions” by Booker T and MGs. Wow. She hadn’t heard that one for ages but she instantly started to feel the vibe. When she finally found the boys, their rehearsal had already came to an end. What a shame, I’d love to listen to some more songs, they sound quite talented. “Kelsey! There you are!” Elwood yelled from the other side of the room, raising one arm. The girl felt uneasy being on display but as she let her gaze wander through the room she noticed that aside from Elwood, Jake and one of the man she had seen in the cafe before no one else as giving her great attention. Most of the band members were busy with their instruments, they were either cleaning or doing some maintenance work on it. Elwood took a few big steps to catch up with the blonde girl “Hi, glad to see you!” He seemed to be pure excited for her to meet the guys. “C’mon I’d like you meet the rest of the band. You know, they became like family to me. Hope you like ‘em too. I know you will!” he said eagerly. “So you already know Jake of course and I believe you have met Blue Lou and Matt before.” “Yeah I have, nice to see you again.” Kelsey stammered. Wouldn’t say I “met” them but rather took a short glance at them. “Sure, we know ya’, a regular at our diner. 2nd table at the window…” Matt started “A chopped cheese and one big white coffee.” Lou finished for him. Yeah okay that’s crazy. The girl laughed nervously “Haha, alright, you scare me! Think I might order something different next time.” She then got introduced to Tom Bones at trombone, Donald Dunn at bass guitar, Murphy at keyboards, Steve at lead guitar and Willie at drums. One man was left, he was standing with his back to Elwood and Kelsey and seemed incredibly deepened in whatever he was doing, looked like the zipper of his instrument case was stuck. They approached him when Elwood continued “And last but not least of course we have Mr. Fabulous…” The man quickly turned around as he heard his nickname when not only his jaw dropped a few inches.  “Alan?” “Christ Almighty! Is that the McAllister girl? I didn’t know you where in Chicago!” “Well right back at you!” Kelsey grinned. “You.. two know each other?” Elwood asked confused. “Yeah, Alan was my trumpet teacher back in NY.” “Oh didn’t you tell me you had just started learning since you moved here?” “Err.. right, I.. err.. quit and picked up playing again”, Kelsey stumbled somewhat embarrassed. She felt strangely awkward admitting that she had quit at some point in front of Alan. She swore she could see some disappointment in the trumpeter’s eyes or perhaps it was the disappointment in herself. “Well if you need a brush-up I’d be glad to help.” Alan smiled. “Really?”, Kelsey bursted out and tried not sounding too excited as she went on. “I sure would appreciate that.” “How are Mr. and Mrs. McAllister doing?” That question caused a sudden change of the girl’s mood, Alan could read her facial expression immediately. “How about we catch up over coffee sometime? Guess you might be pretty interested how I ended up with these lunatics!” He laughed and gave Elwood a little flick against the brim of his hat. She gave him a little smile when Elwood grabbed her hand “Shall we?” Before neither one of them could say anything, he twisted her around, leading her to the door. “He really has a talent to kill the mood, hasn’t he?”  Elwood joked. “Nah, everything’s alright”, she assured the handsome man at her side but turned around to meet Alan’s gaze who was looking after her.
The trumpeter closed the door and threw his keys at the table, letting his instrument bag slide off his shoulder onto the sofa. He then grabbed a bottle of beer, a cloth and the tube of polishing creme from the drawer, unpacking his horn. He couldn’t believe he stumbled into her today. It had been ages. Back in NY her parents had hired him as her trumpet teacher. That was over 10 years ago, she was only 14 back then. A teenager. Not the kind of girl that stood out in the crowd to be honest but that girl today, that woman - looked nothing like the teenager from NY. She really had grown into a looker. He remembered how she used to straighten her hair when she was younger, what a shame after seeing those beautiful blonde curls today, she looked like an angel. That dress perfectly hugged her curves and loosening it up with those black boots suited her a lot. He couldn’t stop thinking about her, that smile simply didn’t want to disappear from his inner eye. We was torn out of this thoughts when he’d realised he almost put the entire tube of polishing creme on the cloth  - and into his lap. He sighed in annoyance and went to the kitchen to clean himself up. After getting rid of the mess, he made a couple of sandwiches and slumped in front of the telly… with a certain young woman on his mind.

Devildom Easter Egg Hunt
A little late, but the idea came to me at like 11pm last night and I'm old and suck at staying up late these days.
Anyway, Easter in the Devildom. With my MC Kore, because I missed writing about her.
Warnings: Female MC, Not a reader insert, polyamory, way too much description of baskets of chocolate, that's it.
“What the hell are ya wearing Kore?”
Tumblr media
“Everyone come to the council room after classes, it’s important.” That’s what the text had said. The one sent from your phone to all of the brothers, and all three residents of Purgatory Hall. It was more than a little suspicious, for one Kore never wanted to stay longer at RAD than she really had to, and secondly she was usually much more polite when requesting a favour. But to use the council room she must have gained Diavolo’s permission so it couldn’t be anything too bad right? At least, that’s how they reassured themselves before turning up. Whatever scenarios they had planned out, none of them came close to what greeted them in the council room.
She looked down for a moment, before grinning back at Mammon. “You don’t recognise it?”
“I believe what Mammon means is why are you wearing that?” Lucifer sighed, shaking his head at the younger demon who had been momentarily rendered speechless.
“Well…” She started, still smiling happily at them all, “it’s Easter in the human realm, and since I already had the bunny costume on hand from that serving job we did, I thought I could share some of the festivities with you all. Technically I’m a bit late, Easter was yesterday, but I wanted Dia, um, Lord Diavolo to be able to join in and he wasn’t back until last night.”
The Prince in question was standing behind her beaming happily, nodding along with everything Kore said. “Now now Lucifer, no need to look so grumpy. I think it’s wonderful Kore wanted to bring something from the human realm to all of us!”
“But, that doesn’t explain why yer wearing that!” Mammon huffed. “Anyone could see ya like that!”
“Mammon… everyone already has seen me in this? And you’re all here anyway.” She shrugged. “In the human realm there’s an easter tradition where a rabbit brings chocolate eggs to kids. I know you’re not kids, but it seemed like fun. I organised an egg hunt and everything!”
“Did you say chocolate?”
“Yes Beel, chocolate eggs. The ones for the egg hunt aren’t, because it would give you an unfair advantage, but the prizes are chocolate eggs.” She laughed, pointing to the small pile of baskets behind her. “No touching until we’re done.”
Beel pouted a little, but stared determinedly at the baskets. Levi frowned beside him.
“So, this is a game? Are there clues?” His eyes flashed with interest, games he could do.
“Not really, I can give you some if you’re stuck though!” Kore laughed. “So, I hid 60 eggs, with Barbatos’ help so he’s going to stay here and keep me company guarding the prize baskets. He isn’t allowed to tell anyone where they are, including you Dia, and you agreed to not ask him.” Diavolo nodded. “So, the rules are; no magic,” she nodded towards Solomon and Lucifer, “no stealing from other people, if they found the egg it’s theirs,” a few sideways glances towards Mammon, “and no fighting. Everyone got that?”
There were assorted nods and murmurs of acceptance from the gathered Demons and Angels.
“Don’t look so pouty Luci, you don’t have to join in if you don’t want to. You can still have a basket of chocolates.”
Lucifer huffed. “Of course I’m taking part. But you neglected to tell us where the eggs had been hidden, unless you mean for us to search the whole Devildom?”
Kore blushed and shook her head. “Sorry! They’re in RAD, the Castle and their grounds. I would have hidden them in the House of Lamentation and Purgatory Hall but I didn’t get time between classes and Barb had duties to fulfill.”
“Then can we begin?”
She nodded at Lucifer. “The inaugural Devildom Easter Egg Hunt is go! Good Luck!”
Kore leaned back against the table, watching with amusement as the group scattered, most heading for the door to scour the school. Simeon and Luke stayed back, opting to look around the council room first instead. Simeon glanced down at Luke, standing on his tiptoes to try and peer over one of the taller plinths and sighed.
“Kore?”
She glanced over at the angel. “What is it Simeon?”
“Would it be permissible to work in teams for this game?” He nodded towards Luke, expression fond as ever.
“Of course Simeon! It’s not really as serious as all that, I only put the rules in place so no one spoiled the fun by magicking all the eggs to them or getting into a fight. It’s just for fun.” She giggled, patting one of the prize baskets. “Besides, I’d put money on Beel and Belphie already teaming up. Even if it’s just from Belphie’s laziness.”
As if on queue a shout echoed through the room from the corridor. “Oi! Ya not allowed to work together like that!”
“Kore never said working together was against the rules!”
“Mammon, let them be. Belphie isn’t likely to be much help when Beel is carrying him.”
Kore burst into laughter, shaking her head at their antics. “Well, I would wish you luck again Simeon, but I don’t think you’re in the most need of it.”
He chuckled in response, heading over to the younger angel to guide him out of the room. “Indeed, come on Luke. See you later Kore.”
She nodded, in response, leaning back and listening to the echoing voices through the halls as Barbatos came to sit beside her, letting her lean her shoulder against his.
That was how they found them two hours later, when all of the eggs had been collected and the hunters returned to the room, Kore tucked against Barbatos’ side giggling at something he’d told her while his arm rested around her waist.
“Ah, I’m glad to see you weren’t too bored while we were searching for eggs!” Diavolo boomed, chuckling at the sight before them.
Kore flushed bright pink, head shooting up to stare at the gathered group with wide eyes. Her gaze shifted quickly over Mammon and Levi, smiling softly at them to try and ease the tension from them. There would likely be time for a discussion later, but she was pleased to see neither jumped to chase Barbatos away from her, polyamory was hardest for the two of them but they were growing, learning.
“You should know already that Barbatos is excellent company.” She chuckled, shaking her head. “Go on then, how many eggs have you all collected?”
They handed over their eggs, letting Kore note down how many each had carefully before the next person handed theirs over. She paused half way through, looking at the ones Beel and Belphie handed over with a small frown.
“Um, Beel, why is this one half of an egg?” She asked, holding the slightly mangled object in her palm.
Beel rubbed the back of his neck, refusing to meet her gaze. “I, um, forgot you said they weren’t chocolate and I got hungry.”
“It was lucky he didn’t swallow it whole.” Belphie grumbled.
Kore giggled and nodding, noting down their score.
Once all the eggs were counted Kore jumped from the table ready to announce the scores.
“Alright gentlemen, the scores for the inaugural Devildom Easter Egg hunt are in! I’ll be going in ascending order of score, last place to first okay?” There were a few nods. “Okay, last place with two eggs is Asmo,”
“I knew I shouldn’t have stopped to fix my hair.”
“6th place is Solomon with three eggs, not bad, joint 5th place are Satan and the team of Simeon and Luke with five eggs each,”
“Well done Luke, you found most of those for us! I’d have been last without your help.”
“Damn, if Lucifer hadn’t beaten me up that tree using his stupid wings…”
Kore paused. “Wait, you climbed a tree Satan?!”
“Don’t worry Kore, I have it all on video. I may not have found many eggs, but I did capture most of the best moments on camera. Satan was very cat-like.”
“Thank you Solomon, I’ll be getting all of those from you later.” She grinned, looking back to the list. Okay, so 4th place is Lucifer with seven eggs. Then in joint 3rd place we have Mammon and Diavolo with eight eggs each, congratulations both of you,”
“I guess third place ain’t too bad. At least I beat Lucifer.”
“Oh excellent! I think that was very good for my first Easter Egg Hunt, don’t you?”
“Yes Dia, that’s a very respectable score. In 2nd place with ten eggs is Levi,”
“Damn, I guess it’s not bad for a game that involved physical activity…”
“Which means in 1st place is the team of Beel and Belphie with twelve eggs. Congratulations you two.”
“It was pretty much all Beel.” Belphie yawned. “As soon as he knew there was food on the line I mostly just napped.”
“Honestly I’d have been very impressed if anyone beat Beel in a competition that involved winning something edible.” Solomon chuckled.
“Alright, so Beel, Belphie, you get first choice of the Easter baskets.” Kore smiled, gesturing towards the table behind her.
“Are they not all the same then?”
“No Luke, they’re all the same value but the contents differ slightly. Different shops and types of chocolate. Some just have big eggs, there’s a couple with lots of small things, some are a mix of everything… you know? Also Barbatos baked a couple of treats, so there’s one in each basket too.”
“You put a lot of thought into this.” Diavolo hummed. “It’s very impressive Kore.”
She rubbed the back of her neck, looking down at the floor. “Well, Barb helped a lot, and… um, I just wanted to make sure it was fun?”
“You did an excellent job on your own, I merely offered a helping hand.” Barbatos sighed, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “Do not sell yourself short Kore.”
“Ah… Thank you. Okay guys, pick your baskets.”
Beel, to the surprise of no one, picked a basket full of large eggs, Belphie went for one with small sheep shaped chocolates. Levi picked a basket with a mix, including some small pink flower shaped chocolates that looked just like ones from an episode of the anime he watched the week before. Mammon’s basket also had a mix, mostly white chocolates dusted with golden sheen. Diavolo picked a basket of large eggs, dark, white and milk with intricate decorations across their surface. Lucifer’s basket of choice was filled with the darkest chocolate, more bitter than sweet and perfect with coffee. Simeon and Luke picked matching baskets, large and small chocolates in marbled milk and white. Satan’s basket was small chocolates, full of unique flavours and combinations. The final two baskets were fairly similar, a mix of sizes and types, though Asmo’s leant more towards fruity flavours than Solomon’s. With all the baskets collected Kore grinned at them.
“Happy Easter everyone!” She paused, glancing over at Barbatos. “Oh, Barb, your basket should be in your room.”

Too bad I’m attracted to you Part 2
A/n Hello I am back with this fat update. You know reading part 1 made me feel a bit bummy, I thougt it was poorly written. I hope this one isn’t as shitty. Anyways, enjoy today’s post has smut, fluff and a lot of angst hahaha
Part 1
Word count: 7336
2 years later.
Winter
“Large Iced Caramel coffee for Adeline!” The barista yells out in the busy coffee shop. I make my way through the busy crowd to pick up my order.
“Thank you.” I smile sweetly as I head straight out the door. Today was a busy day, I had just finished my 2nd lecture and I knew I had to make my way home now to study or else I’m going to fall back down in a rabbit hole of binge-watching my favourite show on Netflix.
I gather my phone and coffee in one hand as I rummage through my purse to find my keys to the apartment I lived in. I wouldn’t say I came from a rich family but my parents were hard workers who had very comfortable positions in their careers that they were able to get me an apartment near campus. The only con about this place? It was a constant reminder of the man who changed me.
He wasn’t able to help me move in here but he sure was with me when I first visited this empty place. He inspired me and helped me picture how this place would come alive. He left small details of himself everywhere in my life that it was hard to not notice them.
“Do you need a hand?” The soft brunette smiled at me as she watched me try to open the main door. I was guessing she was a visitor since she didn’t have a set of her own keys. I nod my head silently as she lets out a small laugh. She takes her hand out as I pass her my coffee and try to slip my phone in the backside of my jeans. I swiftly find my keys and open the door for us.
“Thank you!” I give her an embarrassed expression as she hands me back my coffee. “I’m sorry, I’ve opened the door many times this way I guess today was just not my luck.” She laughs and takes her purple beanie off and shoves it in her trench coat.
“It’s alright, my financé thinks he can multitask all the time too yet he’s only lucky once in a while.” I laugh at her comment out of politeness. Just as she mentioned her engagement, I noticed the simple diamond resting on her finger.
“So do you live here?” I ask to kill the awkward silence as we walk into the elevators.
“No, I’m actually just here to visit my friend.” I nod my head silently, waiting for the digits on the wall to reach 11.
“This is my floor, I got to go. It was nice meeting you though!” I wave at her as I walk out. She probably thought I was a teenager living with my parents considering how I was dressed. I had my own beanie on, with the maple leafs logo on the front. I had my dyed blonde hair in braids as I carried my thick tote with my laptop inside. I also forgot to mention how I was wearing my doc martens and my teddy coat. Yes, I definitely still dressed like a basic white girl.
~
Some days I feel lonely in the apartment when it’s late at night and I’m studying or if I want to watch a movie before bed. I try to talk to my friends as much as I can. My best friend from high school Mya was still my best friend but it’s hard to keep in contact with her when she’s at another university living her best life. I talk to Rachel and Sam but they’re both in and out of their houses and I only really get to catch up with them if we were in class or if we were studying together. It’s not like I’ve always been the type to be a social butterfly, I always preferred a tiny circle of company than a big one. Things did start to change however after I decided to cut the attachment I had with the man I once knew. I tried to numb the pain and isolation by going to parties. I tried hooking up with guys and I did but I know full well now that I regret it…. I regret everything.
Sometimes I wished I never asked the man for help, to be mentored. Maybe, I wouldn’t feel so fucked up as I am today.
After my relationship with him ended, I felt undesired as if I was unlovable. My parents didn’t notice a thing but my sister, Marla did. Coming home from his place that night made me scrub my skin in the shower until it was fiery red, until my body and my mind screamed at my heart to stop. I began to wonder about my last moments as a senior in high school.
Did I feel violated? No.
Did I feel regretful? Yes… no… I don’t know
Did I feel used? Yes. Definitely yes.
I know you can’t force one to love you the way you love them but that night when he told me he didn’t expect us to be together as I entered University, I knew I had to leave. Why? As a young naive teenager, I believed he was the one man in my life who would ever make me feel this way. Yet, all he did was fail me and show me that our relationship wasn’t worth jack shit. Funny thing was I had no clue that the girl I met in the foyer was going to link me back to him.
~
“Hi! Excuse me, I don’t know if you remember me?” The voice of a familiar girl calls out my attention as I enter the building. I stomp the snow off my boots to look at the girl. She was standing in front of the couches with the pretty abstract paintings on the wall. I walk over to her and smile as I take my left airpod out and put it back in its case.
“Yeah, I do what’s up?” She had an anxious look on her face. Should I keep talking to this girl or was it kind of suspicious how very approaching she was to others? She seems really nice though.
“I’m sorry to bother you but is there any way you can sit with me until my fiancé arrives to come and pick me up?” I give her a confused face. “Here sit down I’ll explain.” I take my tote off my shoulder and sit beside her.
The unnamed girl today was wearing a sleek leather jacket while I sat next to her in just my tights and my parka. “My name is Valerie by the way.”
“Adeline,” I reply back shortly.
“My fiancé has been calling me for hours and I thought I left my phone at my house so I never bothered to check my bag to see it in there. I stayed here at my friend’s place and my fiancé found out. Let’s just say he’s angry because he knows my friend here isn’t a good friend at most times to me.” As she continued to ramble on, I was so confused as to why this girl was in such a messy position. “Is there any way you can pretend to be my friend? I promise I have good intentions, I just don’t want my fiancé to know I was here with Kacey. That’s the friend I’m talking about.”
“Um, sure?” Her fiancé was mad about her hanging out with her friend? Seems like a bad fish that needs to be let back into the sea, in my opinion.
~
A familiar range rover pops in front of the glass doors at the same time I look up. I notice the unfamiliar guy barely parking his car as he tries to catch the door of the person who unlocked it to get in. He had a beanie on and the hood of his jacket was on, I couldn’t see what he looked like.
“Valerie.” The familiar voice called out, my ears perking up to the sound, knowing how I once was so in love with him.  I used to remember the way he spoke and the way he sounded. I listened to it all year long.
He seemed angry as he marched his way in determination towards us. What the fuck did I get myself into? I keep my gaze on the floor as I watch Valerie in my peripheral view stand up to go hug him.
“I’m sorry honey, My friend Adeline and I went on a walk around the area, I left my phone in her apartment.” With that, I look up to see him as I catch him already looking at me.
It’s been two years and he looks so different. He seemed more broader now and he was growing a little scruff. He looked older yet he seemed to carry that aura that I once found security in. His arm was wrapped around Valerie as his other one just laid against the side of his body. I try to mask my face as I stand up to walk towards him. I give a fake smile and glance at Valerie… his fiancée
“It’s nice to meet you. I’m Adeline.” He gulps and nods at me.
“I’m Harry.” He pauses and glances at Valerie. “How did you two meet?” I stand there, dumbfounded. Little did he know I was covering for his finacée.
“Adeline and I met down at the coffee shop a block from here!” Valerie interjects and moves her weight onto Harry. “Anyways, Adeline it was nice spending time with you and getting to know more about your brother in the military. I think Harry and I should get going though.” The humour in all of this was both Harry and I knew I didn’t have a brother. Just a sister.
Yeah Valerie, good luck digging yourself out of this one.
I nod my head silently and watch as they both walk out. He opened the door for her, the same like he used to do for me. I noticed how fidgety he became as if the anger he felt for Valerie was no longer important. I’m pretty sure he’ll deal with her lying another time. As he makes his way around the car, he glances once more time at me to see if I was still there. I was. He started the car and drove off in a flash leaving me alone with my heart beating so fast
~
In my apartment now rushing in without a care in the world, I toss my bag onto the floor and rummage through the drawer of my nightstand looking for my inhaler. Fuck, where was it! Freshman year of university was tough for me. I was going through a heartbreak, the anxiety of exams were weighing on me, and I couldn’t get myself to trust people after a long time. This time, I saw him again. What did I expect? I mean I live near him too. I’m just surprised that I never caught him in the local grocery store or something. Now? He’s engaged. My first love is engaged. He found someone to love and it wasn’t me!
As I continue to toss things out onto my bed, I find my inhaler in the depths of the drawer, I pull it out and without another second, I press the button letting the air blow into me. I sit on my bum and rests my back on the side of the bed, taking in deep breaths as I unzip my jacket. Why am I broken?
My buzzer wakes me up as I try to snuggle more into my white sheets. I wasn’t expecting anyone who could it be? Still dressed in my tights and a loose tee, I get up and press on the mic of the electronic pad.
“Hello?” I can’t help but yawn.
“It’s um Harry.” I pause for a moment to think. What is he doing here? We haven’t talked in 2 years but how does he remember which apartment I was in? Why is he here tonight?
“Yeah, What can I do for you?” my voice turned more cold.
“Can I come up and uh talk to you?”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” I rest my forehead on my wall.
“I have to talk to you.”
“You had 2 years to do that.” One part of me knew he wasn’t going to come up here but another part of me was begging to see him, that maybe I can get closure and move on with my life. He is engaged after all, it’s not like he’s here to seduce me.
“Adeline, please.” The softness in his voice made my mind go crazy. I remember the days when he used to use that tone with me all the time.  How special I felt knowing none of my classmates knew that behind the teacher who gave us endless papers to write, there was a real softie, a real hopeless romantic.
“Alright, come up.” Without another moment, I cleaned up my tiny place as fast as I could. It was easy since I was pretty neat but tonight will be his first impression of me after 2 years. After fluffing my living room pillows, I sprint into my room to toss on a UFT sweater and brush my hair as I let it down from the messy bun it’s been in all day.  The expected knocks scare me as I set my brush down and make my way to the front door. Glancing at the clock, I noticed it was just about 9 pm.
“Hey.” I smile softly as I open the door wider to let him in. Don’t show him how fucked up you are. My brain screams at me as I get a whiff of his cologne. It’s been two years and you don’t care about what happened! I try to chant to myself as I observe him looking around my apartment.
“Wow, your place is just what I’d expect it to be.” He unzips his jacket and rests on the futon beside my door.
“Yeah, would you like some tea? You can just sit on the couches.”
“Alright, thank you.” I move quickly into the kitchen making his tea, trying to ignore the feelings I have after making eye contact with him once again.
As I walked back into the living room, I noticed he was sitting while holding a frame of me with Rachel and Sam during orientation day. I place the tea on the coffee table in front of him and sit beside him, making sure to keep my distance.
“So orientation camp huh?” He smiles still looking at the picture.
“Yeah.” I smile as I look at it too. That smile was real, it was one of the first moments in my life where I didn’t care about what happened at the end of high school graduation. He sets the picture and mumbles a thank you while taking the blue clay mug and taking a sip of it.
“Still remember how I like it.” He compliments and sets the mug back down. “Did someone make this for you?” I glanced at the detail he was looking closely at. It had a handwritten sentence on it. The days have always been dark in our favour but I would change that for you.
“Yeah, my friend Chase did.” It was a gift he made me after I decided to cool down our friends with benefits status. He was willing to give me more but I wasn’t ready. I’m still not.
“He seems like a poet.'' The man bites his inner cheek and clenches his jaw, not too noticeable but I caught on.
“He has a way with words.” Not like you though, my mind had thought as I went through a mini flashback of listening to his love letter for me the first time.
*
It was summer and just as the days grew longer so did my time with Harry. Lying to my parents I was going to sleep over at Mya’s but instead I was at my teacher’s house. He seemed to be too focused on a letter he was writing while I laid on his couch playing a stupid game on my phone. His soft voice called me to get my attention.
“Baby,” He looks up to see me sprawled in my short shorts and a tank top. “I wrote a letter and I was wondering if you can tell me if it sounds good.”
“Who’s it for?” I sit up and toss my phone onto the couch as I make my way to sit in his lap.
“For you.” He holds onto me lovingly as he starts to read the letter. I close my eyes and rest my head on top of his, trying to remember this night.
*
“I’m sure you do too.” The man interrupts my thought as he looks at me. “How’s the university life, you’re in the second year right?”
“Yeah, two more and I’m out of school.” I shrug my shoulders and play with the split ends of my hair. “Still teaching at Clement’s?”
“Yeah. I'm not teaching English anymore though, I’m teaching history.”
“Oh, that’s something new. At least you get to use your history minor.” He laughs and shakes his head. I just began to observe what he was wearing. He was wearing a grey long sleeve and blue jeans. Guess some things stay the same.
“Valerie lied to me today. I came here because I wanted to know the truth before confronting her.”
“Ha-” I pause, he looks uncomfortable as I continue on. “Never knew you were the type to be possessive. You shouldn’t be like that, especially to your finacée.”
“You don’t understand, whatever she told you, I have a reason to act this way.”
“Why then?”
“First tell me why she was here.” Harry pleads. We both sit up more as I let him know.
“We met in the coffee shop and we became Fri-”
“Adeline, please tell me. Have you seen her in this building multiple times?” He asks as I can feel his frustration seeping through.
“Yes, why?”
“Fuck!” He mutters as he stands up abruptly. “Fuck!”
“Ha-... What’s wrong?!” He looks at me immediately as he sits back down beside me.
“You can’t say my name.” He calls me out. “Adeline, say my name!” I give him nothing but a blank look. He rubs his face in desperation.
“It doesn’t matter, I’m just petty. I don’t feel-”
“Why do women always lie to me!” Harry interrupts me. “Did I fuck you up so bad, you can’t even say my name?” He looks at me with tears in his eyes. “Please tell me.” I nod silently as he closes his eyes. “Feels like karma you know? After letting you go, I thought I would never be happy again until I met Valerie last year at a club.” He glances at me as I sit there quietly, letting him continue. “Want to know a funny thing? I caught her in this apartment two months ago sleeping with her ex-boyfriend. She had her locations on and when she called me, I was so confused so I searched for his name on the list downstairs. Stood outside for hours until she came out of his apartment with hickeys all over her.”
“I still don’t know why I asked her to marry me last month. She begged me to stay with her and I just thought that maybe we deserved each other because we both like to sabotage our own relationships.”
“I’m sorry,” I whisper to him as I move forward to rub my palm on his back.
“She’s still cheating on me.”
“I know.” And without another moment, he turns towards me and hugs me into his arms. All the anger in me dissolving because of his story, because of this moment. “I’m sorry.”
Spring
The club was very busy tonight and after waiting in line to get in, all I wanted to do was go back out and probably sleep in my bed.
“So you couldn’t hang out with us yesterday because you and Harry had dinner?” Rachel asked me earlier while we were in line going in. All Rachel and Sam knew were that Harry was my ex-boyfriend and we dated for 6 months.
“Yeah.” They didn’t know that Harry and I have been spending a lot of time together after he ended his relationship with Valerie. Valerie didn’t know anything about us, which was nice. I didn’t want her to get angry at me but I also knew she deserved it. My newly formed friendship with Harry, however, as beneficial as it was strictly platonic. It’s been two months and I feel like my mental health has improved. Maybe if Harry decides to leave my life again, I’ll be okay. I also learned how to say his name again without feeling my heart hurt. The times now have been good, I’ve been good
“Still can’t understand how you felt so in love with him, only after dating for 6 months,” Sam called out as we entered the club. She didn’t know what Mya knew. I ended up telling her at the end of summer when the break up happened. Mya told me I was 100 percent reasonable because I was involved in a serious relationship for the first time in my life.
~
“Hey, that guy has been eyeing you for a while,” Rachel smirks at me as she points discreetly at the cute blonde guy glancing at me while talking to his friends. I make eye contact with him and smile. As the night was still young, he made his way over to me. After a few more drinks, I knew my mission was to bring him over to mine
...
As I wake up in my sheets alone, my head pounds making me groan. Sitting up, I noticed I was in the unnamed boy’s polo. After brushing my teeth and using the toilet in my ensuite, I headed out to realize the ruckus was coming from my living room.
“Good morning beautiful.” The blond boy smiles as he sits at the dining table eating breakfast take out. “Your friend is here by the way.” He nods his head to the kitchen. As I walk into the room, the tiles sting the bottom of my feet. There, I see a pissed Harry making tea.
“Hey.” I tuck my hair behind my ear as I’m surprised he’s here. He looks at me and passes the mug into my hand without another word. “Thanks. How did you get here?”He looks behind him to see the boy eating while watching something on his phone. The unnamed boy seemed to be around my age.
“Thought I would get us some breakfast since I hadn’t heard from you yesterday but Jamie here buzzed me in without a word. Came here then he took your breakfast so he could eat. You can have min-”
“Thanks.” I smile and take a sip of the tea. “I think he should go though I didn’t even know his name until you mentioned it.” Together, we walk out and I notice Jamie finishing his container or mine.
“Thanks, Henry! Breakfast was delicious.” Harry widens his eyes then nods quietly.
“Jamie, is it alright you leave now? Harry and I have somewhere to be.” I ask nicely as he stands up and cleans up after himself.
“Yeah angel, just let me get my shirt back then I’ll be out doing my walk of shame.” He smirks as he watches me. I glance at Harry who seems to be angry again.
After Jamie leaves and Harry and I sit together on my couch using two forks sharing his bacon and eggs, he speaks up. “So that’s what you were doing yesterday huh?”
“Yeah.” My cheeks flush as I purposely only eat the yolk of the eggs, knowing Harry hates that part.
“I know it’s not my business but do you have one night stands a lot?”
“Um. last year I only had three then Chase and I had benefits until this year, after that Jace… I mean Jamie has been the last one.”
“Oh.” He says silently. “That’s cool.”
“Don’t you have one night stands a lot?” I tease as I take a sip of his coffee since my mug is empty.
“You know I'm not really keen on those. Before you, I wasn’t really into it. After you, I fell into some deep hole so yeah I did. Valerie’s my last.” I nod and glance at the quiet TV. “You know the year when you left, I was a really mean teacher. Mrs. Raisell had to speak to me and ask me to pass all my students because ⅔ were failing.”
“Maybe they deserved to fail?” I shrug my shoulders and laugh.
“No, I was purposely marking hard.”
“Are you still hurt about Valerie?”
“If I’m being honest with you, I was waiting for something to break us up. I couldn’t imagine marrying her.”
“Why not?”
“Always pictured it would be you.”
Summer
Today was going to be my first day entering Harry’s house again. I was nervous but the thing that kept my spirits up was that I was going in with Harry and the broken part of me was fixed once again. To me, it didn’t matter that Harry broke me because he fixed it, at least I have his presence here again and I don’t feel lonely anymore.
“We’re here.” Harry smiles as he steps out to open my door. I glanced at his house that seemed to bring comfort to my heart as I saw Harry nod his head for me to follow him. After locking his car, we enter his house. It smelled the same and looked just a bit different. I noticed how there were fixed holes in the wall, some of his books were missing from the shelf, and he had new windows and a new TV.
“Did Valerie change some things around here while you guys were together?” I ask as I take off my shoes and sit with him in the living room. I used to remember staying in here and cuddling him. Sometimes, I would ask him to edit my essays. He would tell me all these tips but I would drown him out, pretending to listen yet my attention was on the TV show he was watching.
“Actually, No. Valerie and I were only together for 4 months plus we were never really here. We spent most of our time at hers.” He sits down and turns the TV on.
“What’s up with the holes and missing books in here.” He looks at the holes I was staring at. He lowers the volume and speaks to me.
“Mind if I get something upstairs.” And with that he sprinted upstairs, leaving me on the couch.
As he made his way back, he handed me a mini leather journal. It was a bit torn up but it seemed to be in good condition.
“Um,” he pauses as he sits down. He turns towards me and keeps his eye contact on the closed journal. “You can read that when you get home but I can tell you what happened here.” I nod my head and take the journal and hug it into my arms. “When you left, I uh... felt like that was a bad moment for me. I just- you know why we broke up. I just didn't expect you to love me.” he looks at me while I stare at him breathe a bit heavier. This was the closure I was asking for.
“Addy, I was so excited that night and when you told me you loved me, the insecurity I had for the past 9 months just buried me. I don’t know how to explain it. I just- I was scared you would take that back later when you realized how much potential you have and how you can have a better relationship with a boy that was going through the same stuff you were. I’m sorry.” He looks at me and bends down to wipe a tear down my face.
“I always thought about your parents’ reaction if they found out about us, I thought about your friends, I thought about my parents. It was so messy in my brain. Then when you left, I realized that I loved you too but you were gone in an instant. I got so angry at myself for letting fear take over me. So um I decided to punch the walls and throw my TV through a window. Decided to take each romance book out of my shelves and pour alcohol on them.” He laughs to himself. “I even remember crying so hard, trying to tear out the pages of my favourite book, you know a copy I gave you for Christmas. Anyways, I was really mad at myself that I didn’t try to get you back. I mean I took your senior year away from you. You should experience Uni and I guess that’s what made me decide to let you go.” I cry harder and look at the almost bookless shelves
“You fucking ruined me, Harry. I tried to have fun but all I was fucking looking for was something to numb the pain you left me!”
“I know baby and I’m sorry okay! I’m sorry for not being strong enough! I’m sorry for fucking doing that! I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I’m fucking sorry!” He yelled as we both cried on his couch.
“I fucking loved you and you threw that back in my face. I rubbed my skin so hard that night when I left this fucking place. Do you understand that? I had- my skin peeling for days after trying to get you out of my skin, trying- to … rinse your.. Scent off m-”
“Baby, are you okay?” Harry’s eyes alarmed as he watched me hyperventilate. “Fuck, Addy, you don’t have asthma!” I grasp onto his shoulders as he quickly lets go of me and runs to his kitchen, as he walks back he has his own inhaler in his hands. “Here, it’s alright, baby. I’m here now, it’s okay.” As I take in a breath, I fall into his arms and hug him.
“I love you, Adeline. I love you. Two years or not, I don’t give a fuck. I love you.”
The night was quiet as we cuddled together on his couch. We were both speechless about what happened earlier and now we have been watching infomercials for the past hour. Harry was petting my hair as I laid on his chest playing with the journal he gave me. “Want me to read that for you. It’s just little lines I wrote about you.” I nod my head and he takes the journal into his hands. He soon began to read each page out loud. I closed my eyes on his chest, trying to remember this night. The same way I did when I first listened to him read out his love letter.
I know you were way too bright for me
I’m hopeless, broken, so you wait for me in the sky
All the lights couldn’t put out the dark
Runnin’ through my heart
Don’t you call him “baby”
We’re not talking lately
Don’t you call him what you used to call me
Forget what I said
It’s not what I meant
And I can’t take it back, I can’t unpack the baggage you left
Sunflower, my eyes want you more than a melody
Fall
“Ahh, Harry let me down!” I scream as I feel his arms engulf me as he lifts me off my feet. “If I don’t unpack my things then I’m going back to mine!” I tease as he laughs putting me back down but not without stuffing his mouth in between my neck so he can leave kisses there.
“You can’t, you sold it already. You’re living here with me forever!” He murmurs against my jaw as he turns me around and leans me against his counter. “You’re here with me now.” He smiles as I kiss him on the nose.
After rekindling our relationship, I decided to sell the apartment and live with him since I’ve spent more time at his place than mine. When I told my parents about Harry, they were happy and they agreed with me moving out. Little did they know that I was dating Harry back when I was still his student but I think that’s a story for another time.
“Oh no, what did I sign up for! I’m living here with you… forever!” I pretend to sigh but he pinches my hips and lifts me onto his dark blue counter.
“Promise baby it won’t be too bad. We’ll redecorate the place just how you want it. We can spend so much more time together and… we can have sex anywhere you want.”
“Hm, I like that.” I kiss him on the lips as I wrap my arms around his neck.
“I know you do baby.” He laughs. He kisses me harder then pulls away. “Are you done unpacking your mugs or should I organize the bookshelves myself?” He smirks as he watches me pout. I tug on my pigtail and hop down the counter.
“I want to help you, of course!”
That night we spent hours reorganizing his book collection. I even added some of my own since I’m an English major too. The shelves that were once empty were now filled with many genres of books but I made sure that the majority of them were romance.
~
“Baby, are you almost finished?” I knock on Harry’s office as I see him marking his last stack of history papers.
“Mmm, I don’t think so.” He looks up at me and sighs as he glances back at the hill of papers that don’t seem to shrink.
“I was hoping you and I could spend some time tonight since I just finished my homework.” I walk inside the room and close the door. I make my way onto the couch that I’ve grown used to and sit down. Harry was wearing his glasses with his grey sweatpants and a plain white tee. I was wearing his polo and just my panties. Tonight though, no funny business. I’m here to keep him company yet let him focus on marking. “You know I took AP history, maybe I can help you with the marking like old times.” I lick my lips as he glances at me from the paper he was reading, he took a bit too long to respond since he was too focused.
“Yeah, alright, go grab a paper. The research question should revolve around world war 1 and Canada’s involvement.” With that, I took the paper from his stack and picked out a pen from his mug. I got him that for Teacher Appreciation Day when I was still his student.
A couple of hours after, I didn’t realize I fell asleep on his couch as I watched him finish the last few. All I remember is him carrying me to our bedroom.
“Oh, I’m sorry I fell asleep?” I yawn as I watch him beside me getting settled into bed. The fairy lights around our room set the vibe since I decided to hang them up because Christmas was just around the corner again. “You should’ve woke me up instead of carrying me to bed.” He looks at me and laughs, bending down to kiss my forehead.
“It’s okay baby, plus you could be awake and I’d still carry you to bed. Thank you for helping me mark tonight. It reminds me of the old times.” He hovers over me and intertwines both of our hands on either side of my face.
“It’s alright.” I smile as I watch his eyes look at me. “ You know I was thinking, if we don’t count the two-year break, we’ve been together for about 15 months.” He licks his lips and kisses me on the lips.
“Feels weird huh? Feel like I’ve known you forever.”
“Yeah, I think so too.” He kisses down my neck even though we both know we’re both very tired. “I love you,” I whisper.
“I love you so much more,” Harry whispers back as we finish the night with sloppy, slow sex.
Winter
“Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Harry, Happy birthday to you.” I sing softly as I carry a stack of pancakes with a lit candle on top. Harry was just waking up, surprised at the view of me in just his shirt. I carefully crawl on the bed so he can blow the candle out. He reaches out and closes his eyes for a moment before blowing the flame out.
“Thank you.” Harry murmurs as he comes closer to kiss me. “I love you, Addy.”
“I love you too.” I kiss him back. “Here’s your fork, let me just get your coffee downstairs!” I was just about to get out of bed but he holds onto my hand.
“Stay, I can get some coffee later.”Since it was a Saturday, we were very lucky to stay in bed and watch TV all morning. Harry was feeding me a couple of bites while I would let my fingers massage his scalp for hours.
“You know I don’t know how I got so whipped for you, Ms. Chastain.” He murmurs against my jaw after he sets the plate down on his nightstand. “Saw you standing there, the first day in class and I knew I just had to get to know you.” I laugh and sink myself more into the sheets so he can hover over me.
“You know I didn’t know we would get back together. Thought I would never see you again.” He rubs himself on me as I let my fingers graze over his newly shaved chin.
“Are you happy to be with me?” He asks seriously as he kisses my jaw.
“Mhm.” I moan.
“You love me yeah?”
“I do.” He looks up and smiles at me. He kisses my forehead then lifts up my (his) shirt off my stomach. “Harry.”
“I love you, Addy. So fucking much I do.” The wetness of his tongue teases my stomach as he makes his way back to the top of my chest so he can suck on my nipples. “So fucking beautiful you are.”
“Harry.” I pant as I watch him take a nipple into his warm mouth. His other hand playing with my panties and teasing my core.
“Can’t believe I let other guys touch you. You should’ve been mine only. To touch, to love on, to moan for.” He inserts his fingers in me as I scratch his back. “Moan for me baby, scream my name.”
“Daddy, fuck, oh my god. Faster please!” he gropes my boobs and slaps my wet pussy.
“Too bad I’m attracted to you yeah? Don’t give a fuck what you do, who you sleep with. I just want to love you all day long.” He whispers in my ear as I touch his hard dick and try to jerk him off too.
“Love you, you’re so big, daddy!” Without another moment, I come undone as he moans too at the sight of me. He takes my hands off his dick and teases my entrance a bit before putting it in.
“Remember that time I gagged you with your panties and blindfolded you with my tie.” I nodded. “Fucked you so hard and bent you over my desk that day. So difficult after you left me to mark homework on that desk. I couldn’t stop hearing your moans in my mind baby. You fucked me up so hard.” And with that, he thrust into me so fast as he reached forward to choke my neck.
“Daddy!” I open my eyes to see him, biting his lip watching himself fuck me hard.
“Open your eyes love, want you to see me tear you apart.” He helps me sit up and rests my back on the headboard as I watch him fuck me over and over again. “Fuck, don’t look at me like that, I might just have to turn you over right now and spank you.” He takes his thumb and puts it into my mouth so I can suck on it.
“Then turn me over daddy, spank me while I feel you in my stomach.” He bends down to kiss my lips and just as I was about to kiss him back he turns me over on all fours. Slapping my ass twice before putting himself back in me.
“So wet, baby.” He pulls my hair out of my face as he thrusts faster. I clench my fingers around our pillows, trying to also hold onto the headboard. “You fucking like that when I fuck you hard? Such a slut for my cock baby. So wet, you’re fucking leaking for me.” He teases his finger around my other whole. “Look at this one, I might have to try and give this one attention next time what do you think?” As I moan, attempting to reply he cuts me off, “Maybe now is a good time.” He spits onto the hole, teasing his finger around it. “Are you okay with this Addy, do you like how it feels?”
“Mhm.” Harry pulls onto my hair a bit harsher.
“Answer me correctly, say it properly. Let daddy know.”
“Yes!” He slips his thumb into my now wet hole as he fucks me faster.
“Fuck, I wanna put a baby in you so bad baby.”
“Put one in then.” I moan and reach down to rub my clit.
“Get off birth control and I won’t doubt for a second to put one in.” He grits his teeth and flips us over so I’m riding him. “Be a good girl, show me how good you are.” He whispers and slaps my butt. I watch his face turn into pleasure as I roll my hips onto his, trying my best to fuck him well. My moans were seemingly uncontrollable as I feel him deep in my stomach.
“Come for me daddy please fill me up!” I whine and without another second, we come together. Harry reaches quickly for my neck, choking me as he thrusts his hips upwards. His seed fills me up as I un slide myself off him and reach down to taste us. He watches me with a smirk as I lay back down beside him. I feel him move his arm underneath me, as he searches for something. As I lay beside him looking at the ceiling, I watch his hand open a black velvet box in front of me.
“Harry,” I whisper, turning to look at him.
“I know it’s my birthday but the only wish I had in mind was if you said yes to the question I’m about to ask you.”  He sits up a bit as I mimic his position.
“Adeline Chastain, I knew you ever since you were 18 and I’ve loved you ever since then. You would make me the happiest man in the world if you would marry me?” I watch him as we both cry so happily together.
“Yes, Harry, I will!” He takes the pear-shaped diamond engagement ring and slides it onto my finger. He kisses me softly as his fingers touch the necklace he bought me for graduation.
“I’m very much in love with you and I promise to take care of your heart, to protect you, and make you the happiest woman in my life.” and with that we kissed again, leading us to the never-ending hours of activities in the bed.
When I was 18, I was naive. I thought Harry would be the only man in my life who would ever make me feel this way.
And I was right.

Top 20 BEST Animated Series of the 2010s-2nd Place
If you’ve been paying attention to Disney’s televised animation, you’d noticed that there’s been a weird trend going on with their shows. Recently, most of Disney’s shows begin as random comedies only to have a deep story to them in later seasons. Some shows soar as they do this right, and others tend to flail as they do it wrong. Personally, I would like to think it’s all because of one show that Disney has made. And since its series finale, the network tries their hardest to replicate it due to how well received it was. And despite the many attempts, no one can do better than--
#2-Gravity Falls (2012-2016)
The Plot: Twin siblings Dipper and Mabel Pines are forced by their parents to spend the summer in Gravity Falls, Oregon. But don’t worry, their parents are not entirely careless. They just sent their only children to spend the summer with their con artist of a great uncle with a deep, dark secret...okay, so they're a little careless. In fact, the parents might be more irresponsible than you think because Gravity Falls isn’t the small backwater town as it seems. Soon enough, Dipper and Mabel will learn that it’s a town with monsters, demons, and a mysterious author who recorded all of the town’s weirdness in his journals. Will the Pines twins solve the town's mysteries, or is their summer going to be over sooner than they thought?
By the way, I FREAKING love this premise! The idea of an entire town being filled with mysteries and monsters is so compelling to me because the possibilities are endless. One episode could be dealing with zombies, and another could be dealing with an entire society dedicated to keeping the town’s weirdness a secret. On top of that, every monster/weird oddity that Dipper and Mable face is just so creative, from a multi-headed bear to even the main antagonist being (and I kid you not) the Illuminati symbol wearing a top hat. And even when the show does use monsters you’ve seen before, they utilize them in a way you wouldn’t have expected. For example, there are two episodes where the characters deal with ghosts. In both scenarios, the methods these ghosts use to haunt the living are not just creative and scary, but in some instances, they can also be kinda funny. There’s just no telling what this show is going to pull off. Or at least, not entirely.
Because another great thing this show has is its mystery element. And I don’t mean just how well it handles mystery within a single episode (although it does that phenomenally too). What I mean is that Gravity Falls has a great overarching mystery that you, the audience, can solve for yourself. With that comes the show’s impressive attention to detail. From the secret codes to solve, to the lines/scenes you wouldn’t have thought twice about, to even a single license plate. That’s right. A single license plate is an essential clue to the show's most significant twist ever. In fact, it’s a twist that fans have solved years in advance due to all the hints that were left within previous episodes. And most of the credit goes to Alex Hirsh and his team. They really put a lot of effort into what many would describe, a kids cartoon. Even though this might just be the most adult kid's cartoon that I have ever seen.
You know how Pixar movies try their darndest to make films suitable for both children and their parents? That’s basically what Gravity Falls does. Whether you’re an adult or child, odds are you will be entertained in nearly every episode because rarely does it feel like an episode leans too far in either direction. If there’s an episode with a serious story, there’s always a silly/lighthearted subplot to keep the kids entertained. And if there’s an episode that is just silly all the way through, there are adult jokes that make you ask, “How the hell did a Disney cartoon get away with that?” Even when the show gets genuinely creepy, it works just perfectly above the line of going too far for kids (except in “Northwest Mansion Mystery." S**t gets real in that episode). Many kid's shows in the 2010s struggled to find this balance, and Gravity Falls is another one of those rare exceptions that somehow feels like it does it without even trying.
And what keeps that balance? The show’s sense of humor, that’s what. Even in the darkest episodes of the series, there is almost a well-placed joke to lighten the mood. And with Gravity Falls, the show relies on four types of humor. Being random, being surreal, being smart, and being dark. And not just dark for a Disney cartoon. I mean that Gravity Falls has a dark sense of humor that I would have expected in something like Rick and Morty (which is fitting because the creators of both shows are actually close friends in real life). As for how funny the jokes are in this series, they. Are. SO. Funny. I’m not kidding when I say that every single episode--and I do mean, every. Single. Episode--has made me laugh at least once. Not even the best comedy shows that I’ve seen have been capable of doing something so spectacular.
But do you want to know why the comedy is so hilarious? And do you want to know what really kept me invested in all 40 episodes? The answer is simple: It’s all because of the characters. Most jokes are funny because the right person said them. I care about the show’s mysteries because the characters make me care about those mysteries. And when the stakes get high, I’m invested because I care about the characters so much that I fear they’ll get hurt. In fact, I was so invested in all of these characters that the series finale made me cry FOUR TIMES due to how heart-wrenching it was. And I don’t weep that often when it comes to specific media. Most of the time, I get a little misty-eyed, and even when it feels like a scene has yanked at my heartstrings, I usually get myself under control before any real tears show up. But with the series finale of Gravity Falls, I was so emotionally invested with this cast that I was tearing up with them as tearful goodbyes were said. This is because Gravity Falls’ writers know that the key to making any story work is to have a great cast of characters. Because it doesn’t matter how epic your plot is. If I’m not invested in the characters winning the day, then I won’t be invested in the story.
Now at this point, you’re probably wondering what is wrong with this show. To that, I say virtually nothing...Okay, that’s not true. There are some problems the show has, but trust me when I say that the good heavily outweighs the bad. Are there occasional continuity errors? Yes. But they’re usually intentional for misdirection or made up with really great attention to detail in other scenes. Are there occasionally bad jokes? Of course. But like I said: EVERY. EPISODE. IS. FUNNY. So who cares if not every joke lands? Are there also a couple bland characters? Obviously. However, they’re either made better in later episodes or forgotten quickly due to even more memorable characters. And now the big one: Are there bad episodes? And there are...in comparison to the show’s usual quality. Even when Gravity Falls is at its “worst,” the writing is still somehow entertaining in its own right. Hell, the real complaint I have involving the series isn’t even about the show itself. It’s about other shows on the network.
Like I’ve said in the beginning, as of late, there has been a lot of modern Disney cartoons trying too hard to be the new Gravity Falls. And they’re all best intentions met with poor execution. The best (or should I say worst) example I can think of is Tangled: The Series, a television series based on Disney’s Tangled. The first batch of episodes was cute, harmless, and downright charming. Then halfway through the first season, it becomes dark, dark, and even darker. And unfortunately, the show’s quality feels like it took a dip with its direction. As for other Disney cartoons, they follow a similar pattern, with the thought that Gravity Falls did the same thing. The problem is that it didn’t. From the very first episode, the show started off by hinting that it isn’t as cute and innocent as it seems. Sure the stories got significantly darker in season two, but they slowly worked their way towards earning that by slowly becoming more dramatic with each episode. And like I said, even at its darkest, the writers still knew when to keep the tone light. So that’s really the only logical problem I have with Gravity Falls: It made people think they need to be more like Gravity Falls.
When I hear that people wish the show was brought back, I honestly don’t get it. The series ended on a perfect note, with very few questions left unanswered. And the unanswered questions were actually answered through other media such as books or comics. And if you ask me, I’d rather have the series come to an end in the way that it did. It had a perfect premise told with fascinating mysteries, funny comedy, infesting characters, and even a kickass theme song (I know that I didn’t mention that last bit, but trust me when I say that it’s so GOOD). Why ruin that by turning it into something like The Simpsons, where a show would just get stale after too many seasons? In the end, while I was sad to see it go, I’m still happy to say that this is always going to be a show that will make you Fall in love with it.
(But the real mystery is: What series is going to top a cartoon that was practically perfect?)
(...)
(Who am I kidding. You’ve probably already figured it out by now.)
