ouggh. add another "npc relationship that would be really cool to see but that we probably wont get" to the list !!! anyways im thinking abt Hero Oak and Grant Wilson and fucking weeping
#cal rambles#dndads#their relationship is one ive BEEN thinking abt but actually this episode very much solidified it#as something really interesting i think.#BIG fan of Hero being initially raised by all the kiddads and therefore she knows them better than the other teens#i like the idea that theyre all kinda like weird uncles to her <3 yk the family friends that u call aunt and uncle#but aren't actually related to u#anyways. cries#before i was like haha it would be really cute if Hero's inital facination with video games#originated from Grant when he babysitted her as a kid#and then. this episode. OUGFFGGFGH#something something being forced to kill a living being in an intimate and grotesque way by ur father figure#and being told its for your own good. but all it did was fuck you up#one of my fav hcs of Hero is that she inherited the bulk of the oak family anger issues#that is to say. shes got a very short temper but also the tendency to repress it until it explodes#unlike Henry I think she does this partially unintentionally. she forces it down under a layer of apathy#from the moment she was born with the intention of being raised to be the chosen one#her situation has been unfair#and shes been angry at that unfairness for so goddamn long. and there wasn't much she could do about it#so her options were be continiously furious or repress it disassociate and feel nothing#if shes angry she could lash out and she's powerful. oh god she's powerful. she already has blood on her hands. she doesnt want more.#so she keeps it all in a tight little bundle and presses it down where it belongs#you see where im going with this. cries#anyways i just want to see them interact so bad ough i want to chew drywall#grants exposure to violence caused him to enter a disassociative state where only more violence could bring him out of#which caused him to seek more violence despite all the guilt and bad feelings attached#bc he wanted to FEEL something and it was the only way to do that#versus Hero. whos exposure to violence caused her to similarly numb her emotions#except i think more violence makes it worse. the state she has to put herself in to do violence is too emotionally taxing to get in & out of#so she actively avoids it avoids even thinking of it in order to feel like a real person

WIBTA if I fake corrupted/hid the files for a TV show on my plex server because my SIL is obsessed with it and uses it as babysitting?
💙 to find later
Context: I (29f) have a plex media server where I have all of my movies, TV shows, audiobooks etc., and also grant access to friends and family (think Netflix but not paid/generally better). As admin of the Plex server, I can see every connected user's activity, what they watch how long they watched it, all that stuff, and I keep that tab open so that I can monitor it for unauthorized access (plus I like the little dopamine hit from seeing my stats/how much media I've consumed lol).
My SIL (29F) has two kiddos (11moM, 6M), that she only has a couple of days a week, as her and my husband's brother are going through a seperation/divorce. Even before the seperation, she'd always been kind of inattentive, not especially interested in the kids and hanging out with them. Not abusive or neglectful, just. Not that keen on actually spending time with them.
I added a kids show for my nephews-Bluey. It's a cute show, why not. Since I've added it, SIL's watch history says she has watched the complete series very nearly every day. I'm talking 5:30am til 11pm. Nonstop. Well, whatever, she's entitled to spend her time however.
Yesterday, I had some time to play with my nephew at his grandparents' house. At some point we ended up talking about Bluey, he kinda scrunches his face up, looks at me, and says "I don't like Bluey. It's ALWAYS on. Means so I can't watch anything I want to watch. Bluey is my enemy now."
So I think about it, look back at the watch history, and it corresponds to when she usually has the kids. I don't have kids and I don't know her life, but electric babysitting sits poorly with me.
I have the ability to restrict access to some folders to users, without them knowing they've lost access. And the nature of illegal file acquisition is that sometimes where you originally downloaded files from just disappear. It'd be completely plausible if I said I couldn't find a download, and she would not know how to look for them herself
So, WIBTA if I restricted access?
What are these acronyms?

"Fate is not satisfied with inflicting one calamity." - Roman author Publilius Syrus
"Alright, I just got his crib set up. JJ says he loves that little giraffe stuffed animal, so I put it in there for an easy night," you say and walk into the living room.
Spencer is pacing the floor with Henry in his arms and a bottle in his mouth. He doesn't seem to notice you right away, so you steal a few seconds to admire him from afar. Spencer is such a good godparent to Henry, it makes you think how good he'll be with his own kids.
How did you ever land a guy like Spencer? Something must have happened to you in a past life that granted you eternal happiness in this one. You don't care what other people say, you're the lucky one in this relationship.
"You're staring," Spencer says.
"Can you blame me? You'd be really good with your own kids one day." You walk over to him and look at Henry who is looking up at Spencer. "Do you want some one day?"
"With you?"
"You know, just in general."
"I'd have a dozen of it means you get to be their mother."
"Okay," you blush. "Let's not go that far. We'll start with one and work our way up."
"Deal," he chuckles.
"Man, he is tiny."
"I know. Want to hold him? He's done with his bottle."
"Is that even a question?"
You take Henry from Spencer's arms and pat his back to get him to burp. Spencer puts on a Disney movie for the three of you to enjoy. Halfway through the movie, you end up falling asleep in Spencer's arms and Henry is asleep in yours. Spencer looks down and smiles lovingly at the sight of you and Henry.
He doesn't care what anyone says, he is the lucky one in this relationship. The sight of Henry makes him think about what life would be like if he and you had a child. He was serious before. He'd have a whole family of kids if it means you get to be their mother. Spencer lets you and Henry sleep until the end of the movie before he wakes you so you two can put Henry to bed and go to sleep.
The following work day, you bring Henry into work since Will is meeting you there to take back his child. It sucks you won't be taking care of Henry but JJ is more than happy to let you babysit if it means she and Will get another amazing weekend together.
"How'd he do?" JJ asks and takes her son back.
"Amazing. He's the perfect angel. We didn't have any problems. Did you two have a nice weekend?"
"Yeah, we really needed it."
"Well, we definitely want to babysit again and soon."
"You got it," she chuckles and passes her son over to her boyfriend.
There is a case that requires your attention, so instead of briefing in the conference room, Hotch wants everyone on the plane to Boston as soon as possible. Between the years of 1995 and 1998, Boston detective Tom Shaunessy called in the BAU for a case regarding an unsub who dubbed himself "The Reaper". It was Hotch's first case as a BAU senior which is just another level after being a normal agent.
The Reaper killed more than twenty people back then, and this kind of unsub derives from a sense of power. He contacted Tom Shaunessy and told him he'd stop killing if the investigation was shut down. That's the ultimate power move because Tom couldn't catch this guy no matter what he did. The Reaper knew what he was doing when he asked Tom to do that. He agreed and sent Hotch away since the murders stopped cold turkey.
Well, now Tom is dead and the murders picked back up again.
"The Reaper is driven by a need to dominate, control, and manipulate. Why would he offer a deal that would stop him from doing that?" Emily asks when the plane is in the sky.
"Killing gave him power but after so many, the payoff began to diminish. So, he decided to switch tactics. Offering the deal gave him the ultimate power, something that was better than killing. He manipulated the police into voluntarily surrendering," Hotch answers.
"He even got it in writing. He won. Why did he start killing again?"
"The one person who he made the deal with just died. Narcissistic killers need other people to recognize their power. That's why they contact the media."
"How did he stop for ten years?"
"In 'Night of the Reaper', the author suggests he had been arrested for an unrelated crime or died. Perhaps he's trying to correct that misconception," Spencer says.
"What has he been doing all this time?"
"Planning what he would do if he started killing again."
"From '95 to '98, he shoots, stabs, and bludgeons twenty-one victims. They were men and women of all ages. How did you build a profile from there?"
"We didn't," Hotch says. "Shaunessy sent us home before we had a chance. The Reaper has similarities to BTK and the Zodiac Killer in the way that they're all highly intelligent, disciplined killers who name themselves to the press."
"Highly intelligent may be a bit of an understatement. The Reaper and the Zodiac Killer have never been arrested. The BTK killer was only caught after twenty-five years because he went to the press to counter a book that said he'd died, moved away, or been locked up."
"Speaking of the media, when this gets out, it's going to be a frenzy. If they get wind of this, they're going to be all over the Boston police," JJ sighs.
"The longer we can float the copycat story, the better chance we'll have of catching him. Rossi, Prentiss, and Morgan go to the field office, set up shop, and go through everything there. JJ, Y/N, Reid, and I will go to the crime scene."
The group splits into two when you land, and you head to the crime scene to try and figure out who this Reaper is. There is something different than the last time Hotch was on the case--he didn't have you. Not to be cocky, but you've helped catch so many killers that were difficult to catch because of what you can do.
Sergeant Mike O'Mara is the lead detective on the case who is already at the crime scene when you arrive. Hotch is the only one who gets out so he can talk to Mike alone, and when he gives the signal, you all shuffle out of the car to join his side.
"This is SSA Jennifer Jareau, Dr. Spencer Reid, and SSA Y/N. Everyone, this is Sergeant Mike O'Mara."
"It's nice to meet you. The other half of the team is setting up at the field office."
"Okay. I'm done here anyway. Give them anything they want," Mike says to an officer.
Two people fell victim to The Reaper on the side of the road. On the side of the car is an eyeball with four lines on the top and bottom of the eye. The two victims have been removed from the scene but the blood stains have not.
"The victims are Nina Hale and Evan Harvey. Nina's throat was slashed and was stabbed forty-six times. Evan was bludgeoned and then shot. No shell casings were found."
"He prefers .44 Magnum Revolver," Hotch says about the Reaper. "The younger the female victim, the more time he spends with them, usually with a knife."
"There's a tan line on her wrist," you say when you look at the photos. "She was probably wearing a watch or a bracelet."
"Do we have his wallet?" The officer hands Hotch the wallet. "The reaper took items from each victim and placed them on the next to make sure we knew it was him." Evan was found with glasses on his face, but he doesn't have a prescription for glasses. "He doesn't have a prescription for glasses."
"The glasses aren't his?" Spencer asks.
"He only took glasses from one victim--the ninth. We should have found them on the tenth and we didn't. They were never found."
"What was so special about the ninth victim?"
"He survived. Y/N, what do you see here? Anything might help."
You grab some gloves and walk over to the bloodstain on the ground outside the car. One touch brings you back to last night. Evan is the only car on the highway but he's driving slower than what the speed limit is. He passes by you and pulls over to the side of the road. You walk closer and see that the back driver's tire is flat and needs replacing. Nina stays inside the car while Evan gets out to do that. He only has the flashlight on his phone to light his way but he seems capable of doing this even without the light.
Suddenly, another car comes around the bend and slows down seeing that Evan is in need of help. It pulls in right behind him and the unsub gets out. You know this is the unsub because the man is wearing nothing but black clothes and a black mask that covers his entire face but his eyes. He approaches Evan and begins beating him before shooting him in the face.
You pause the scene and approach the unsub while he has a crazy look in his eyes. You stand right in front of him and look into his hazel-green eyes. There is nothing you can grab off this man because he's very good at hiding himself. He reminds you of Frank Breitkopf, the man who taunted Gideon and kidnapped children to get to his love, Jane Hanratty. The only difference between Frank and this unsub is that this unsub isn't a total psychopath completely void of emotions and feelings.
"I'm not getting anything, Hotch," you sigh and take off your gloves. "All I see is Nina and Evan pulling over, Evan changing his tire, then the unsub comes and kills them both. The unsub wore black clothing with a black mask that only shows his eyes. There is no skin showing except for that around his eyes, which is why I know he's a white man. That's it. I don't even know how old he is. I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Thank you for that. We should head to the field office and join the others. The only surviving victim might be able to tell us who this unsub is."
Derek, Emily, and Rossi already have the conference room set up with the previous murders including this recent one. The only surviving victim of The Reaper is George Foyet, and if you have hope of finding The Reaper, it's through George.
"George Foyet was the ninth victim and the only one to survive The Reaper. His date, Amanda Bertrand, his date for the evening, wasn't as lucky. He likes to attack them inside or near their cars at night on poorly lit, less populated roads."
"Foyet said he approached them pretending to be a lost tourist. In the hospital, we put Foyet with a sketch artist but his memory was a little fuzzy," Mike says.
"The Reaper always uses some sort of ruse to get close to and spend time with his victims."
"The eye appears to be the Eye of Providence, a symbol adopted by the US Government and incorporated into the great seal in 1782 with the words, 'Annuit Coeptis' inscribed beneath. That's Latin for 'providence has favored our undertakings'. The Reaper seems to see himself as the personification of fate," Spencer explains about the eye painted on the side of Evan's car.
"How did Foyet survive?" Emily asks.
Sergeant Mike plays the 911 call that Foyet made on the night of the attack.
"911, what's your emergency?" the operator asks.
"I just murdered two more," The Reaper says menacingly.
"Excuse me, sir, did you say you murdered someone?"
"Victims eight and nine by a silver Toyota on Riverton past the Tyson Quarry."
"That call was made from a payphone about a mile from the crime scene. EMTs arrived fifteen minutes later. Bertrand was DOA and Foyet was barely breathing. The Reaper made these calls after each of his killings telling police where to find the bodies. Until this one, the ninth. If he hadn't made this call, Foyet wouldn't have been found in time. The call saved him."
"The Reaper didn't make any 911 calls after this one. Looks like he learned his lesson."
"There's a reason he left Foyet's glasses at the last crime scene. He could be in danger."
"We'll find him."
"Hotch," JJ interrupts, "there's a reporter outside insisting on speaking with you. His name is Roy Colson. He says he knows you."
Besides doing more research on George, the entire day is wasted away because there's nothing you can do. The Reaper isn't caught, you have no idea who he could be, and George is very hard to track down. It makes sense since he survived an attack by a serial killer. If you were attacked, you'd do everything to stay underground until he was caught. George must be scared out of his mind knowing The Reaper is back killing again.

Paltinum
Tumblr media
“O-m-g you’re, like, sooOooo funny! Prepare for annihilation.”
One day, a valley girl named Patricia sadly passed away, but luck had blessed her with a second life! Reborn into a fantasy world of slime people, she was placed in a slime body destined to be the hero of the land! …Too bad the original slime hero in that body suppressed her completely. Having gone multiple years without fronting once, Patricia got a third chance when “Absor-Corp” outfitted the hero with an exoskeleton, and accidentally made her be in front again! Determined to stay in front at all costs, she now works as the company’s main enforcer, Paltinum.

“Oh Marcus, sweetheart, who are yer new little friends?”
🌋Hi sweethearts! This is Helen, apparently I’m the only dang OC to become a fictive from this list! ...Yet. Anywhoo, I’m ‘sposed to be one of those big, doting, Minnesotan mom types. I’m a real accomplished single mom, dontch’a know? I graduated from college when I was 8! …Granted, cause of the gigantism, they thought I was their age, but eh, whaddya gonna do? It’s hard bein’ a single, 10 foot tall mom with multiple law degrees! But keepin’ my kids happy is what I love best. I also babysit that lil Owen fella here and there, he likes how tall I am.

Life After the Reveal
Fandom: Supergirl Compilation: Moments in the Life of Superfam A/N: Set after the show ends. You'll have to endure some original characters, but then it's all Danvers women all the time.
Midvale University
Sofia Zuniga makes a detour to the break room.
With the faculty meeting starting in less than five minutes, she has just enough time to make a cup of tea. At nearly 6 PM PST, chamomile should be a nice caffeine-free option that will keep her going through the meeting. Faculty meetings typically occur in the morning at the start of normal work hours, but today unusual circumstances have prompted a late emergency meeting.
Someone has left the television on, but the sound is barely audible. She doesn’t give it more than a second’s glance.
Terry Martin races into the kitchen a minute later, not quite disheveled, but it’s obvious their run started from their lab two buildings away. They exchange hellos. Sofia adds more water to the boiler. Being a young enterprising Assistant Professor seeking tenure, Terry grabs a packet of coffee. They're clearly anticipating working well into the night.
“So, what’d you think of the surprise news?” Terry asks.
The surprise news: Eliza Danvers going on sabbatical. The reason for their emergency faculty meeting.
Finding people to fulfill all of Eliza's duties is a non-trivial matter. And really if anyone in their department should’ve seen it coming, it was Sofia, right? Eliza’s best friend since grad school and still a close collaborator.
“I didn’t expect it, but goodness knows she deserves it,” Sofia says lightly.
She tries to think back to the last time Eliza had taken a sabbatical. The Danvers had regularly done so at the start of their careers, flying off to Japan and the like, taking Alex along. After Eliza and Jeremiah adopted Kara, that had changed. And Sofia had understood. Or at least, she'd thought she did. Kara had needed help. Of course, the Danvers would spend whatever time they could with her.
But Kara is an adult now, so why wouldn't Eliza go on sabbatical? If only the abruptness of it didn't make the whole affair so mysterious.
“Ah, we’re talking about Eliza?” Sangjin Cho says as he steps into the kitchenette. He doesn’t seem to have come in for any reason other than to socialize.
Terry dumps an alarming amount of cream and sugar into their coffee, stirring as they speculate, “Her daughter just got married, right? And adopted a child? Maybe Dr. Danvers is babysitting while they go off on their honeymoon. Hard to start off a marriage properly with a new kid crimping your style.” They wink suggestively.
Sofia grimaces. “Please don’t. I’ve known Alex since before she was born. I don’t ever want to think about her like that.”
Sangjin frowns. “Can you know someone before they were born?”
Sofia can't help but laugh as memories flood back to her. “You should’ve seen some of the cravings Eliza had when she was pregnant. That kid has a strong personality, and she imposed it early.”
“Speaking of Eliza,” says Terry, whose attention has shifted to the television. A teaser of the upcoming CatCo exclusive plays, the promo announcer speaking over background clips of Cat Grant and Kara Danvers. “Her other daughter.” Then they check their phone. “That means we’re going to be late.”
Sofia turns the volume up. “We can be a little late.”
Terry is still new and eager to impress, but Sofia is well-established in the department. She was even a mentor to the current department chair once upon a time. She wants to hear more from Eliza’s younger daughter, and she figures she'll be afforded some wiggle room. Terry and Sangjin stay with her. They're curious too, and if they arrive late with Sofia, then maybe there's safety in numbers.
The CatCo exclusive is a live event, starting its broadcast at 9 PM (i.e., primetime) on the East Coast to reach the largest possible audience. Even for an exclusive, little has been shared with the public beforehand.
“Hello, National City," Cat Grant greets her resident city, despite the national broadcast. Perhaps it's a powerplay to show where the center of attention should be. "You know her as Kara Danvers, CatCo’s ace reporter and new editor-in-chief. But tonight, it is my great honor to introduce to you… Supergirl.”
The camera zooms in on Kara, who somehow looks like neither Kara Danvers nor Supergirl but someone in between.
“What the actual fu...?” Terry’s jaw drops with the last word and stays down.
“Did you know?” Sangjin asks because, again, Eliza and Sofia, best friends.
“No,” Sofia says simply. There’s nothing more to say. She’s as surprised by the news as everyone else, but she’s not surprised Eliza never told her. It was Kara's secret to share.
Sofia leans forward.
Terry's phone lights up with notifications, and then they're typing furiously. Sangjin checks his phone, and then he's doing the same.
Sofia’s own phone starts vibrating, but she silences it. She keeps her eyes glued to the television screen.
Eliza’s sudden sabbatical is starting to make a lot more sense. Sofia is sure that most of her new messages are from fellow friends and colleagues of Eliza--how did none of us know?--but she's also sure that some enterprising journalists are biting for their own exclusives. Anyone and everyone who knows where Eliza lives and works is sure to be a target.
And Alex. Oh, dear. Alex is going to hate this.
Sofia hopes the other Danvers have managed to find some place on Earth where they can’t be found.
Argo
Kara's holographic form fidgets uncomfortably.
“Alex heard from Sofia,” she says. "Your department's still, umm... They're trying to handle all correspondence requests as best they can, but you're still going to have a ginormous pile in your inbox when you get back."
Eliza is grateful that they had repaired this holographic, interplanetary mode of live communication before her trip. Seeing her daughter still alive and well is an invaluable relief. They had been so cautious with Kara's identity throughout her childhood for good reason. Her being an adult and having revealed her identity on her own accord have done little to ease Eliza's anxiety on this front.
But Eliza shoves her anxiety to the back-burner because each and every one of Kara's features spells out G-U-I-L-T.
Her Grimace, formed by
the Upside down curve of her mouth and
the Indented crinkle between her brows.
Her Laced hands, clasped tightly and carrying down
the Tension from her shoulders.
Eliza knows that any reassurance, though heartfelt, will do little to ease that guilt. What Kara needs is for the ripple effects of her decision to fade, and though time may not heal all wounds, it may serve as the most apropos treatment here.
The best Eliza can do in the interim is to make every conversation with Kara as enjoyable as possible.
She says, "Yes, well, that is a problem for future-me, as my students say. I'm having a wonderful time here."
That seems to do the trick. Kara's posture eases, and her head perks up. "Yeah?"
Eliza tells Kara all about her time on Argo. Her sabbatical may officially pertain to the experiments she and Zor-El conduct in his lab, but the true treasure comes in the form of stories of Kara's childhood. She reminds Kara of some of them, and perhaps enjoys a little too much the blush spreading across her cheeks.
For the followup salve, she mentions the Kryptonian dishes she's tried. Their ensuing discussion about Kryptonian recipes and potential ways to recreate them on Earth (and vice versa for the Earth dishes on Krypton) truly brings Kara to life. Eliza takes in Kara's grin and wishes she could keep Kara in this state of bliss forever.
But eventually, her communication device pings with a reminder.
"I'm sorry, sweetie," she says. "I need to pick up Esme soon."
Alex and Kelly had stayed on Earth to support Kara through the reveal, but they hadn't wanted to risk putting Esme in the cross-hairs again. That, more than anything, had been the reason for this Argo trip. Bonding with her granddaughter, learning about her daughter's culture, picking up Kryptonian STEM lessons, and avoiding Earth's media outlets had all been side bonuses.
Guilt creeps back into Kara's expression. "How's she doing?"
"Very well," Eliza reassures her. "She's picking up Kryptonese very quickly, and she's excited to talk to you about all the things she's learning in school with the other kids. Maybe next time we can pick a time to chat after school, so she can join."
Kara glows. "I'd love that."
...
CatCo Media Headquarters
There are times when Ms. Grant's name feels entirely too appropriate.
Throughout this entire interview, she has exuded the very satisfied and expectant energy of a cat about to eat the canary. An exclusive interview with the Danvers sisters? It's every media outlet's dream.
Only in this case, the canary is Alex, who appears ready, nay eager, to peck her way through Ms. Grant's throat from the inside out.
Kara finds the whole dynamic rather unsettling.
Fortunately, the interview has been uneventful thus far. Ms. Grant started with questions about their childhood: how they adjusted from only children to sisters and how Alex helped Kara adjust to Earth.
"Were you ever intimidated?" Ms. Grant asks Alex about Kara's superpowers.
"Oh yeah," Alex drawls, tone laden with sarcasm. Her expression remains completely unimpressed. "But luckily, I had my secret weapon, the popcorn machine, to defend myself."
She doesn't explain the reference, and to prevent Ms. Grant from asking, Kara offers, "I was more intimidated of Alex than vice versa."
Alex shrugs, softening for Kara and Kara only. "Older sister privilege."
The shift seems to satisfy some unspoken criteria for Ms. Grant, and she moves on. They meander through the timeline of their lives until they land on the theme of identity.
"Your sister has spoken about all the reasons she kept her identity a secret in the past," Ms. Grant says to Alex. "How do you feel about your family's safety, about your safety, now that everything is out in the open?"
And there it is. The only reason why Alex agreed to this interview in the first place.
Alex leans forward a little, a predatory glint flashes in her eyes. Her voice lowering, she warns, "If you come after our family, I'm your problem."
Alex's energy feeds Ms. Grant's. She nearly leans in as well. "A bold statement."
"You can call it whatever you want," Alex says dismissively. "It's the truth. I've been kidnapped before to get at Supergirl. Want to know what happened to the Hellgrammite that took me hostage and tried to kill me? I stabbed it with its own spikes. If anyone comes after someone else in our family, I will do so much worse to make sure they regret it."
"Alex," Kara sighs. They probably shouldn't be promoting violence. "That's not--"
"True?" Ms. Grant cuts in shrewdly.
Kara wishes Ms. Grant was a little less fearless sometimes.
"What? No," Kara says quickly before Alex can respond. "I was going to say 'necessary'. All of it's true."
"As a superhero, Kara has morals," Alex says. "As her sister, I will do whatever it takes to protect this family. If you mess with us, I will mess you up."
Well, at least Alex didn't say that she would kill them outright. The thought of dealing with Alex on a rampage is infinitely more tiring than dealing with any villain.
She doesn't keep that tiredness out of her voice as she says, "Yes, to all the supervillains out there, please don't come after our family because then Alex will come after you, and I will have to save you from Alex."
Ms. Grant seems absolutely delighted.

Haha, I like how Supergirl has superpowers, and she still recoils whenever Alex glares at her #supersister

...
The Tower (National City)
"Hi, Mom," Alex and Kara say together as the holographic image of their mother appears in front of them.
"How are my favorite girls?" Eliza asks, smiling fondly.
Alex finds that smile somehow lifts some of the weight from her shoulders.
Kara beams. "Alex is trending. Hashtag supersister."
Alex groans. She doesn't know how Kara can stand getting this much attention. "Send me to Argo."
Eliza laughs lightly. "Esme and I would be delighted to have you here. Alura is bringing her. She should be here soon."
"How is she?" Alex asks. Sending her daughter away hadn't been easy, but with all the attention that their family, and even she herself, was now getting, it had seemed prudent. At least it won't be forever. Alex is counting down the days.
"Good," Eliza says. "She has so much to tell you."
Oh, right. With Esme arriving soon, she should probably take this precious time to catch up with her mom. Alex makes sure to ask about Eliza's experiments in Zor-El's lab, provides updates on Kelly and other family and friends, and encourages Kara to share all the progress she's been making as CatCo's new editor-in-chief.
It's reassuring to know that in the perpetual whirlwind of their lives, they'll always have this.

Mighty Nein Next Gen AU, Part One
Hey, I wrote this AU a couple months back and I'm working on writing more of this AU but here are some notes I have about our Mighty Nein as parents and backstory for the AU
Masterlist for the whole AU (will continuously be updated):
MOLLY AND KINGSLEY ARE BOTH ALIVE IN THIS AU
So, Molly NEARLY dies due to Lorenzo but survives with death saves but, later on in the game, Cree or Vess DeRogna or a new member of the Tomb Takers (necromancer?) cast Clone.
Due to the nature of clone and the spell description, it says "if the original creature dies, its soul transfers to the clone" So Lucien comes back in that body.
Fight me, my AU bitch
Anyway, when they defeat Lucien later on a spirit gets stuck in that body and we get Kingsley Tealeaf
Anyway, more of the fun stuff and actually important part of the Alternate Universe/later timeline
Fjord and Jester have a giant, elaborate wedding at the Lavish Chateau after sailing for a few years
Jester always wanted a big wedding, due to the fact she is a giant romantic and was upset her mother never had a wedding originally (Marion is happy now just dating The Gentleman but she did tell Jester as a kid she hoped Jester would have one for her)
Cad walked Fjord down the isle because they are Wildmother Brothers
TJ was the ring bearer and Luc was the flower boy because he deserves it, he picked those flowers with Uncle Cad, dang it
Fjord and Jester give the ship to Kingsley and move in with Marion and The Gentleman
Fjord and Jester have four kids, three triplet girls and a baby boy eight years later
Now for the most important part: Artagan fucking with Fjord during the pregnancy
They find out because Artie is laying in bed with them and casually goes "congrats on the triplets, you two"
Cue Fjord going unconscious
Jester and Artie have a babyproofing session that is off the walls useless
They babyproof the knives by putting bubblewrap on the handles
They also flip the doors upside down (because, to quote Artagan, "the handles are higher up now so they can't reach") but since the doors have glass on the upper parts, Fjord has broken several doors by accidently kicking the glass
Fjord and Jester also name their kids off of the most important people to them (family/friends)
Artagan takes them (and later the rest of the Nein) on family vacations to the feywild
He also gives all of Jester's kids feywild titles and familiars (that start off as plushies but eventually come to life)
Artagan also has a nasty habit of kid- babysitting his nieces and nephew, taking them to Feywild Court Stuff, where they get pampered like royalty
I wanna have a whole post dedicated to the BS the triplets go through during birth but, to simplify, due to the bloodline one of them nearly dies at birth but was saved by Artagan and, as a return, they name the baby after him
All three of the triplets are warlocks for Artagan
Also, the baby boy is a cleric of The Wildmother, more on that later :)
Mollymauk, Caleb, and Essek are in a polycule (all wear promise rings but never wanted to get married)
They own several homes, one each in Nicodranus, Rexxentrum, and Rosohna
Caleb and Essek are both academics with research grants and college professors/government officials, they have the money to live luxuriously
This also gives Caleb and Molly the ability to work at Veth's summer camp during the summer
Essek is also AFAB, Demiboy in this AU (Matt has been using they/he lately so I'm guessing that's the case anyway)
This is my way of saying, Essek get's pregnant and is trying to hide it at Fjord and Jester's wedding
They have a baby girl (biologically Essek and Caleb's kid) exactly ONE DAY before Veth gives birth to her second kid (more about this later but safe to say she was livid)
The baby is just as magic driven as her parents, loving the study of it
But also loves tarot cards from Momma Molly
Molly a couple years later finds a little one abandoned in Rosohna and adopts them
It's a few weeks later, when having a fit, they find out she is an aasimar
Molly and Verin teach the aasimar kid (I cant think of a name, help) how to swordfight
That's the end of part one, part two is in the master post's link. Love y'all

Rant below
Gonna have to set some boundaries with ANOTHER neighbor....
I'm known as the Babysitting Neighbor™️ since I don't currently work which is totally cool, I get paid and it distracts my son, but we're having another case of them not telling me the full plans until they're dropping their kid off
Like this is the first time I'm watching this kid, he's 5. His mom texted me saying "it'll only be for 6 hours, 8:30am-2:30
Tumblr media
Guess what time they showed up? 7
And then she tells me "I'm off at 2:30 so it'll be about 4 when I'm back"
And im like....girl that's a whole 3 more hours
Anyway I was too tired to say anything about it this morning, she said she had to get an uber bc her tires got low due to the negative temps outside & that's why she was leaving early, she had to get going, I wasn't gonna make her late. But next time she asks me to babysit I'm telling her she needs to tell me the exact times
Like idk honestly I almost feel like I should ask for $10 more than she's already paying me just because she made me wake up an hour earlier on a day where there's no school. Plus I mean. She's asking me to babysit 50% longer than originally stated. But I can't just randomly ask for more money from a single mom who just told me that she can't replace her tires because she's so broke she can barely afford rent. Ugh. Yeah, yeah, not my problem, I'm broke too, whatever. But I've been a single working mom making like $60 a day paying $20 a day for a babysitter (granted it was a teenager watching my kid) and that was a whole third of my income. I don't feel like I should be asking for more money whenever I used to pay that much for a sitter for a toddler, ya know? Typing this out just made me think that through lol I know I'm not being consistent
Everyone's always telling me to stand up and demand the compensation I deserve, but look man, I don't really have to do much when these kids are over. I mean, there's always more than 1 kid here so they entertain each other. In fact, I can get even more stuff done bc it means my son isn't constantly asking for my attention. So again I don't feel like asking for more is necessary
And I know I complained about this exact thing with my other neighbor, but after confronting her like, 3 times, she finally started communicating with me better and paying me more.
I'm not really looking for advice (just posting this for myself for reference, sadly it's easier for me to find and reread a tumblr post of mine than it is to find something in my own notes on my pgone)
I'm just complaining that I have to say anything to this woman in the first place after already having to set this boundary with another neighbor. Its getting fucking exhausting
Side note, this kid has the thickest, silkiest black hair I have ever seen on a child in my life, and I am so jealous of his natural hair

Digimon Data Squad Dub Comparison Episode 2 - Marcus’ Inner Strength!
This is a companion to my commentary on the original Japanese Digimon Savers! Reading my commentary on the original version of this episode (which you can find here) is recommended before reading this dub comparison.
Original name ~ Dubbed name
Masaru Daimon ~ Marcus Damon
Yoshino Fujieda ~ Yoshino “Yoshi” Fujieda
Tohma H. Norstein ~ Thomas H. Norstein
Sayuri Daimon ~ Sarah Damon
Chika Daimon ~ Kristy Damon
Captain Rentarou Satsuma ~ Commander Richard Sampson
[Since several characters share the same name between the original and the dub, quotes from the dub will always be in italics, while quotes from the original will not, in order to distinguish them.]
Kudamon:  “Satsuma, what must be done with Raptor-1?”
~~~~~
Kudamon:  “Tell them what will happen to Raptor-1, Commander Sampson.”
Originally, Kudamon was asking, making it somewhat more sensible to think that Satsuma is not actually planning on sending Agumon back, despite the way he awkwardly implies as such by going on to demonstrate it with the Cockatrimon egg. In the dub, it sounds a lot more like Sampson and Kudamon have already firmly decided that Agumon is going to be sent back, which should not actually be the case.
(Granted, I found this whole aspect rather awkward in the original, but the dub is not helping.)
Satsuma:  “Digimon who cause problems in the human world…”
~~~~~
Sampson: “Any Digimon who break the real-world law…”
While I didn’t appreciate the original calling it a “crime” for a Digimon to be in the human world, at least this line got to the actual point – that a Digimon being in the human world is simply a problem that they need to clean up. The dub leans even more into this “crime” idea by claiming that there’s some sort of explicit law about this, even though Digimon from the Digital World should have no way of knowing about such a law.
Also, do you notice another key difference here? The original calls it the “human world”. The dub calls it the “real world”. The latter is a term that Savers never uses to refer to the human world, which I appreciate a lot. Calling the human world the “real” world implies that the Digital World is somehow less real and less important than the human world, and by extension so are Digimon. That is extremely the wrong attitude to have about it, especially for this series in particular, and I appreciate that the people in DATS, and the writers of Savers, understand this. To be fair, the dub almost always gets this right, too! But apparently someone was sleeping on the job this time.
Satsuma:  “We simply sent it back to the Digital World, where Digimon live.”
~~~~~
Sampson: “What you’ve just seen was the Digimon you defeated being sent back to the Digital World.”
The dub’s version of this line sounds a lot more unnecessarily expositiony, as if they think viewers couldn’t have picked up which Digimon this was from the flashback to the egg appearing after the fight.
Agumon: “Boss, please do something, I don’t wanna go back!”
What does he mean, go “back”? Agumon doesn’t remember ever being in the Digital World in the first place.
Sampson: “It’s a Digivice.”
Kudamon: “Marcus dropped it when he fled.”
The dub fills a silence to establish another obvious fact that definitely nobody could ever have picked up through implication.
Satsuma:  “I see. That man must’ve…”
~~~~~
Sampson: “That kid. Full of surprises.”
Since the actual word Satsuma used in Japanese was “person” and not “man”, apparently it completely went over the dubbers’ heads that Satsuma was meant to be referring to the old man who gave Masaru his Digivice, not Masaru himself. Way to miss the point there and lose out on the implication that he knows the guy.
Agumon: “Good idea, Boss. No-one will think there’s aaanything suspicious about a walking cardboard box!”
Pfft. The thing is, I don’t think Agumon’s being sarcastic. That’s kind of a trait that dub-Agumon has that’s a not quite there in the original – a tendency to unironically say dumb things that most people would only mean as snark. I kinda like it; it’s cute and amusing and fitting for his character.
Agumon:  “If this is junk food, then I’m happy to be a garbage dump!”
And here’s that other dub-added trait of Agumon’s that I don’t appreciate as much: somehow knowing about human concepts he really should not know about yet. Though calling this one a “trait” is debatable when it’s more like the dubbers not thinking things through.
Sayuri:  “Really, where were you last night? I thought you got in trouble with the police again! I was so worried!”
~~~~~
Sarah: “Well… you’re busted, that’s what’s going on. Fess up! While you were out getting into trouble, I was up all night worried sick! Now where were you?”
Sarah’s line here has a bit of a difference from Sayuri’s, which you can also hear in her voice – she was still worried, but she’s focusing this a lot more on being stern and angry at her son for misbehaving. I liked that Sayuri wasn’t really that angry at Masaru despite having plenty of reason to be, and I’m a little sad to lose that.
Sarah also doesn’t imply any prior trouble with the police, but the dub of episode 1 did add in a few little things that already implied that, so I don’t mind.
Marcus: “Hahaha! What trouble? I don’t even know the meaning of the word! You really oughta buy me a dictionary!”
I enjoy this line. It is appropriately dorky and ridiculous and obviously-trying-to-distract-from-the-truth.
[Agumon tumbles out of the closet he was hiding in]
Agumon: “Why d’ya keep shoving me into small places?”
Aww, of course Agumon wouldn’t like being kept in small places after his time being held at DATS! The original implied something like this with the animal cage, but it didn’t bring it up for the closet (and implicitly also the box), too.
Sayuri:  “Masaru, remember our promise?”
~~~~~
Sarah:  “I hope you’re not forgetting the promise we made.”
Sarah, again, sounds sterner than Sayuri here. It’s like she thinks Marcus would potentially just forget all about the promise because he never really cared about it that much. Like she had to nag him into even agreeing to keep it in the first place. That’s absolutely not the point of their promise to tell each other everything until his dad comes back, not in the original; it’s a way to help keep the family together in his absence that Masaru would have been 1000% on board with wanting to keep, in principle.
Kristy: “You don’t mistake a thing like seeing a giant lizard, *Mom*!”
Kristy has a lot more attitude here than Chika did.
The Japanese kushikatsu that Yoshino compliments Sayuri on gets called a corn dog in the dub, which is fair enough localisation; they do look similar.
Yoshino:  “So that’s why I’ll be freeloading off you here for a while.”
~~~~~
Yoshi:  “So I guess we’ll be seeing a lot of each other, since I now have to keep an eye on you two guys.”
Sadly, Yoshi does not make a point of the free food she’ll be getting out of this.
Marcus:  “No way! You’re not taggin’ along with me, toots!”
Can we not? I thought this stopped after the first episode; I guess I was wrong. Sigh. It does still stop soon, I’m pretty sure.
Marcus: “Just great. He even eats in his sleep.”
This makes it seem a lot more like Marcus is only disgruntled because of Agumon’s loud sleep-eating, and not because Yoshi is sleeping in his bed and he gets the floor.
Agumon: “And what is school again?”
Marcus:  “…A place where there are tons of people to fight.”
It’s basically the same line as the original, but Marcus’s tone sounds a lot more bitter, less like he’s actually trying to make Agumon think this, and more like he’s just grumpily thinking “I wish it were but actually it sucks”.
Yoshi: “And safety rule number one says: Keep your Digimon stored!”
I doubt this is an actual written rule anywhere at DATS. And if it is, surely it should be a secrecy rule, not safety? It’s not like a well-behaved Digimon, like all partners of DATS members should be, is inherently unsafe just by being out and about.
Marcus’s squawks as he rushes out the door because he’s going to be late, again, sound a lot more bitter and grumpy, like he just hates going to school. There was none of this impression given with Masaru! Sure, I don’t think school is particularly Masaru’s favourite thing either, but it doesn’t come across like he’s upset about having to go there. Apparently the dubbers have just decided that, because Marcus is A Jock™, he’s obviously meant to be the kind of teenager who hates school, right.
Marcus:  “If you’re gonna follow me, you could at least give me a lift in your car!”
You know, he has a point here. Masaru didn’t think to ask that.
This car conversation is the first point at which Yoshino starts calling him Agumon, but meanwhile Yoshi is still calling him Raptor-1. I guess sharing a meal with him as if he’s actually a person or something didn’t do anything for her.
Yoshino:  “I won’t have to look after you guys either… but I guess that’ll never happen.”
~~~~~
Yoshi: “And, the best part of all is that I wouldn’t have to babysit you guys any more.”
Despite having the same snarky look on her face for this line, Yoshi is not actually snarking at them here. I am disappoint.
Kristy: “When he came in to feed the chickens and rabbits this morning, they were all gone. Nobody knows where they went.”
So the dub is going for the insistence that the animals definitely just disappeared mysteriously. No Animals Were Harmed, guys. I guess the Kunemon just… kidnapped them?
Which… is fairly understandable. It does mean we lose out on that cute line where Masaru commented that it was terrible.
Agumon:  “I couldn’t get used to being inside that cramped Digivice!”
~~~~~
Agumon: “Please, Boss! All these cramped places are making me claustrophobic.”
The dub makes more of a point of connecting together all of Agumon’s experiences in being put in cramped spaces, which is some extra nuance that I appreciate!
Yoshi: “You know, Agumon, there should be a rule about leaving your Digivice without permission.”
…I thought there literally was? Safety rule number one, wasn’t it? This should count as part of that. Yeah, I figured that dub “addition” wasn’t going to be an actual thing that mattered.
Lalamon: “Frankly I don’t know how you slept with all his snoring, but…”
Lalamon has some added sass here, wow.
Marcus & Agumon: “The ultimate team! It’s fightin’ time again!”
“The ultimate team” is a cute thing for these two to start calling themselves, but I find it a little bit of a stretch that they’re doing so this soon.
Marcus: “Kristy! Don’t! Worry! We’ll! Get! Whoever! Did! This!”
Marcus somehow manages to be even more embarrassingly dorky than Masaru was here. Maybe it’s the lip-flap’s fault that he’s yelling it so awkwardly like this?
Agumon: “What is it with you and these cramped spaces, Boss?”
This is as Agumon is locked inside the animal cage. I still appreciate how they’re connecting all these together.
…Though at this point, since Agumon has expressed his dislike for these so many times, it becomes more of a dick move deliberately ignoring Agumon’s wishes for Marcus to still be doing this anyway.
Agumon:  “I hate being cooped up. Locked up like a criminal.”
Connecting it even more to Agumon’s experiences at DATS! Without actually explicitly saying that this is why!
You know how I brought up in my commentary of the original episode that Agumon not liking this is probably to do with that? It’s actually only because the dub made more of a point of this that I picked up on it. Though I still believe that was probably meant to be the point in the original, it was perhaps a little bit too subtle about it. The dub being actually good at subtlety in ways that weren’t there in the original is very decidedly not going to be a common theme here, so let’s appreciate it while we have it.
Masaru:  “What are you doing out here so late? Did you come to check on the cages?” [The kid doesn’t respond.] “Hey, say something!”
~~~~~
Marcus: “You come to check on the cages or somethin’? Well, thanks, but you shouldn’t be here. Now go home.” [The kid doesn’t respond.] “Hey, did you hear me? Get outta here!”
Marcus is a little harsher to this kid than Masaru was; it’s there in his tone of voice, too. It does make sense to tell him to go home, because Digimon secrecy etc, but I do like how Masaru didn’t actually care about that and was just curious as to what was up with this kid. Masaru is good with kids. It comes across like Marcus is significantly less so.
Takashi:  “I wished they would just disappear! And then, this guy…”
~~~~~
Takashi:  “I wished they’d all just disappear, and then they did! Thanks to him…”
(Takashi’s name is not actually mentioned in the dub, so whatever, let’s assume he’s still called Takashi.)
Something about the way dub-Takashi expresses this reads a little differently to me. It feels slightly less like he’s conscious of the fact that the Kunemon came and got rid of the animals because of his wishes, and more like it was just a happy coincidence. The fact that he actually admits that the animals disappeared and says it’s “thanks” to the Kunemon also suggests more like he’s actually happy about that happening.
…Though, him admitting “and then they did [disappear]” might be part of the dub scrambling to reassure viewers that No Animals Were Harmed. And since that is apparently literally what happened and they really weren’t killed, I guess Takashi would be less traumatised and more just satisfied that he got his wish.
If he is less traumatised, there’s less explanation for why he passes out, but, eh.
Yoshi: “Stay back.”
Marcus:  “Do *what*?!”
I love the incredulity in Marcus’s response. What do you mean, don’t fight a thing?!
Masaru:  “Don’t be stupid! There’s no way I’ll turn my back on the enemy and run like a coward! No matter how difficult it gets, I’ll stand firm without taking a step back! That’s… how a man should live!”
~~~~~
Marcus: “No, I’ll never run away! An ultimate fighter never shows cowardice! No matter how difficult the fight might be, I stand my ground. That’s what a winner does! Fightin’ time agaaain!”
I’m going to be doing a lot of complaining about the dub messing up most of Masaru’s manly speeches that I adore. This one, though, is okay – it’s pretty simply don’t-give-up stuff that there isn’t much to mess up about.
However, what is very different, you might notice, is the lack of this being about what a man does. I pointed out a couple of bits in episode 1 where the dub basically kept the mentions of manliness or even added one in where it wasn’t there before, but I also mentioned that this is very rare for them. Because this here is usually what they do – remove the references to manliness altogether.
They probably mean well with this? They probably think Masaru’s manliness thing is some kind of toxic masculinity that they don’t want their kids’ show protagonist to be espousing. But here’s the thing: it isn’t toxic masculinity. If the dubbers assume that’s what it is just because they heard the word “man” being used a lot, without even bothering to, you know, listen to what Masaru is actually saying when he talks about this, I am very disappointed in them.
Masaru’s concept of manliness is one of the most interesting and distinctive things about his character, and I’m sad to see the dub water it down. Even while removing the references to manliness, some of the general principle of it can still be kept (though the dub will often be losing even that, as we’ll see), but without one central word that he always connects these ideas to, the whole thing seems a lot less pointed and cohesive, and it’s a lot harder to realise that it’s A Thing about him in the first place.
(And we also lose the delightful connection that it has to the thing with his dad, which I could already pick up on the implication of at this point on my very first watch. Without the specific mention of manliness here, I wouldn’t have figured out what makes Masaru tick nearly so soon, and I wouldn’t have enjoyed my first viewing of this series quite as much.)
Marcus: “Ready to fight, Agumon?”
Agumon: “Yeah!”
Marcus: “All right, then!”
Marcus’s tone of voice with the “all right, then!” sounds weirdly sinister and not at all like an excited dork ready to go win a fight alongside his new best friend. What on earth were the voice directors doing here.
(I’m tentatively not going to blame this on Marcus’s voice actor, because he’s generally really good at his job.)
Old man:  “This human world must be too small for you to swing around these fiery fists of yours. How about it? In the Digimon’s world, you’ll find plenty of formidable opponents to fight to your heart’s content.”
~~~~~
Old man:  “If you want to become the ultimate fighter who fights the ultimate battles, then you’re not going to find it in this world. But in the Digital World, there’s an unlimited number of opponents who will test your fighting skills, and make you the best fighter on *two* worlds!”
Um. He was not originally supposed to be literally talking about the Digital World here. This is supposed to be, at least on an in-universe level, just the old guy saying something that’ll help Masaru realise he wants to join DATS. The Digital World has nothing to do with that, because DATS isn’t supposed to involve him necessarily ever going there.
Marcus: “Then I’ll be… the ultimate…!”
Credit to the dub, they are actually remembering that change they made in episode 1 where Marcus just wants to be an ultimate fighter and doesn’t feel like he is one yet. This is still consistent… for now.
Masaru:  “Please! Let us join DATS!”
~~~~~
Marcus: “Well… Guess what. We’re gonna do you a favour and join DATS.”
I liked how sincere Masaru was about really wanting to join, knowing that they have every reason to refuse him. But Marcus? Is just being an arrogant prick about it. Apparently he doesn’t know how to swallow his pride. And this is despite him having the same humble, pleading body language as in the original, which this attitude does not remotely match with.
Satsuma:  “Daimon Masaru, I figured you would come to us one day.”
~~~~~
Sampson:  “I knew it would happen. Frankly, I’m surprised that it took you this long to ask, Marcus.”
With Sampson’s phrasing about Marcus asking, this is specifically just about him expecting Marcus to want to join since he met Agumon. The implication the original had that he’d already been expecting to Masaru to end up here before Agumon even showed up is completely missing. Another implication that apparently went right over the dubbers’ heads.
Masaru:  “Now we can fight against as many strong guys as we want!”
~~~~~
Marcus: “And just think of all the bad guys we’re gonna get to beat up!”
Marcus specifies that their opponents will be bad guys, which is not the point in the original. Masaru isn’t particularly doing this to feel like a hero; he’s just doing this because he wants to challenge himself.
I imagine the dub made this change because they want to emphasise that, hey, our kids’ show protagonist who fights people a lot is definitely not a bad person, really, see, because it’s only bad guys he fights!!! But that isn’t necessary. Masaru’s fighting thing is already perfectly honourable, because he only fights people who want to fight him.
Tohma:  “It’s been a while since I’ve last seen it… Mom’s homeland, Japan.”
~~~~~
Thomas: “After so long… I’m coming home… at last.”
Tohma’s words implied that he didn’t quite think of Japan as his own home, but apparently Thomas is completely fine in seeing it that way.
We also lose the mention of his mom being from Japan, which is a little nugget of information that I think we otherwise wouldn’t have for quite a few more episodes. Though I suppose simply the fact that he thinks of Japan as home implies that part of his family must be local despite his more prominent Austrian heritage that we’re going to learn about soon enough.
Overall differences
This episode isn’t that significantly different overall; most of the differences are just the usual lost nuance or less sense-making or Marcus being less interesting, and also people generally being a bit sassier.
I genuinely like the added focus on Agumon not liking cramped spaces, implicitly because they remind him of his time imprisoned at DATS. An actually good addition, and decent subtlety!
Marcus is vaguely more of a jerk in some bits, and also I guess he hates school because he’s A Jock™ or whatever.
The mention of being a man is removed from his speech. I’m specifically noting it here because this is the first time we’re seeing it happen, but this is also going to be a regular thing that I’ll probably stop mentioning in these summaries before long.
I suppose technically the biggest change in what actually happens is that No Animals Were Harmed. Which is something I understand them doing, but it also does mean Takashi loses a bit of interesting nuance because he’s not accidentally a murderer.
Dress up games are a great way to help me make my characters since I can’t draw for the life of me! So, after much deliberation with both myself & @bogbodyalien, I’ve decided to show you all my OC’s! Honorable mention & the biggest hug to @lunasdestiny for getting me back on the GR train! Thank you both!! Oh, & @bogbodyalien you’ll enjoy a pic below of El complimenting VK’s cooking! Below is my list for each of my OCs (pets not included, but some more pics are!) L-R Anissa (Annie) Kleiss: Youngest (20) & just a baby!!! She was the first OC I created around GR & so she’s been my baby for 11 years! She has wee wings (not so wee, actually. Think like this guy but with just a human body that can also shoot out projectiles as feathers) Lives in London & even though she doesn’t have an accent, she uses the same vocab. She grew up wanting to be a gymnast (her skills & flexibility still intact, but it’s a lot harder to do clean & elegant flips with 20 ton wings on your back) Now she’s a sort of EVO MMA fighter, & Rex is A FAN! He just doesn’t know that his favorite fighter is the daughter of his mortal nemesis (a recurring theme) Out of the three of them, she’s easily one of the sweetest & most caring, even if her job description makes you think otherwise. Very short temper! OH & AN ADHD BABY! Dr. Clara (Ra, or Ra-Ra) Jones Eldest (31) & the mother of the group (& life) Has two kids, one from a previous relationship, Rafael [5] (after her sons grandfather hehe. His name was originally Sam, but I changed it b/c I wanted to add a bit more ~drama~ lol), & Marcus [3] (from her current husband) She works for Providence as a like a nanite historian. This wasn’t her first option, or passion in the science/Super Science Nanite Family world, but after The Event, she decided to work for them in an effort to regain some bit of her past with what she did before. The reason she chose that nanite historian part of the job was because she’s one of the few people in the world who still has access to those files and handful of tech and samples. (Granted she gets most of the older files from Dear Old Dad, but AT LEAST SHE’S GOT ‘EM!) Rex hasn’t met her & she likes it that way. She prefers to distance herself from the few people from her past, especially if the one person in close proximity to her has amnesia. She knows if ever she does end up properly seeing Rex again, she’ll no doubt have a wee breakdown after. Rex has always wondered how Clara gets to Providence since she doesn’t live in HQ, and comes to find that she doesn’t just live in the desert in the middle of no-where, but just gets there through Breach. (just like how everyone goes to whichever house is hosting dinner that week) She’s an EVO (of course)! She’s telekinetic, with some orange-yellow energy glowing about. She doesn’t use it that much (and has a form of inhibitor bracelet that VK made for her so she can be able to use her power in wee spurts. If ever she takes it off [very rare, but it does happen] everything around her starts to float with that same orange-yellow glow) OH! And you best believe that VK babysits the boys when the girls go out for weekly dinner dates! There’s also Wednesday family dinners where every Wednesday, each member of the family hosts dinner at their respective home, and everyone gathers for a good catch-up, wine and hugs! It goes: Clara, Anissa, Danielle, VK & so on. Danielle (El) Mere (they goes by their mothers maiden name) Middle child (25) & they are just pure fun! Uses she/they (prefers they) She’s a chef & a helluva perfectionist & overachiever. She does prefer baking. They use their cooking skills to make meals & distribute them to homeless EVO’s & those who were displaced or disenfranchised from Providence. There’s a lot of animosity between Ra & El because of their work. El thinks Ra should do more with her job at Providence to make the lives of incurable (mostly humanoid) EVO’s that live poor lives because of the way Providence has shifted the world to have treated EVO’s the way that they are. It was their idea for the weekly family dinner night. Mostly because everyone depended on her for food (it’s top tier the work she makes, but it can be exhausting!). She always says she won’t cook unless it’s her night, but almost every time it’s Annie’s week, she gets to London early enough to go to market & get a bunch of fresh produce and protein & dumps in all in Annie’s flat & they cook together as everyone else walks in. VK loves the work that El does in helping EVO’s. They do wish that they could send EVO’s to Abysus & make it the real save haven for EVO’s like he keeps saying it is, but it never happens. El is still really pissy at VK for not hiring her do the catering at the party at the Abysus Consulate when VK was a diplomat for that one day. She walked up to him, looked him dead in the eyes & said “Your catering sucks,” left & got take-out. El is (of course, like all of them) an EVO! She has the abilities like Kitty Pryde’s Shadowcat where they can walk through solid objects. She uses it when she’s rushing anywhere & when she’s up against Providence agents. She isolates a spot on the ground & sort of “quicksands” them in & runs off. El gets arrested by Providence more times than she could count, mostly for, y’know, helping EVO’s. Ra is always the one to bail them out. El doesn’t use their powers to escape from Providence because they’d rather pay the consequences than get it even worse than others around her. Their current big Chefy project is making a however long course meal of foods that are indigenous to Abysus. Granted, that list is a bit weird since VK can just sprout whatever whenever, but they do try to reel him into not doing that if they run out of whatever. The reason they’re doing this is not only so VK stops apologizing about the Abysus Consulate catering incident, but also just for fun father-daughter bonding. Picrews are a godsend !!!!!
Ch.2: Sailor Hemera
"Watch where you're going!" A seemingly enraged girl called after a boy who had bumped into her because he'd been too engulfed in a gray book. "Not even an answer!" the girl scowled but sighed after a moment.
There was a light pitter-patter near her and when the girl looked down she found a purple cat beside her. The stark golden crescent moon on the cat contrasted with her dark fur.
"Luna, remind me again why I'm the only one who got to remember Sailor Moon, the Sailor Scouts and Tuxedo Mask existed?" the girl asked, huffing as if she were still angry about it. Now, it became more of a mystery.
"Because you, Azula, are exceptionally different," Luna articulated with refined elegance.
The girl, Azula, shot the cat a look. "You're sticking to that because you still haven't figured it out, either, huh?"
"Eh," Luna gave a tilt of her head.
Azula shook her head and watched after her friend, or rather ex-friend, Mamoru, who didn't even notice her anymore. A month ago Sailor Moon, or Usagi, had made everyone forget that the Sailor Scouts had existed. No one remembered any attacks from the Dark Kingdom. The scouts themselves didn't remember they were Sailor Scouts reincarnated. Usagi Tsukino didn't remember she had been a princess in her previous life. No one remembered anything...except for Azula Keena.
Azula had been a close friend of the scouts because she had managed to find out their identities. She proved herself useful with her tech abilities and quickly became a strong asset for them despite not having powers like them. One year older than them had her situated in the same school as Mamoru Chiba, although she was a year younger than him. They were friends, had been, but now he didn't remember her. In fact, he didn't remember anyone, not even Usagi who had been his grand love from a previous life.
But despite everyone losing their memories, Luna, Artemis, and Azula remembered everything. The memory wipe was not efficient with Luna and Artemis but neither had an explanation as to why Azula remembered as well. Fact was she shouldn't have. It was impossible. Yet here they were. Since then, Azula tasked herself with making sure there were no more enemies to deal with since Sailor Moon and the Scouts were out of commission. But she also tasked herself to simply look after everyone even if they didn't notice it.
"I may not be one of their scouts but I think myself as a guardian," Azula said confidently as she and Luna walked down a street after school. "A silent guardian."
"Job's taken, I'm afraid," Luna said quietly but Azula still heard and gave the cat a curious look.
"Luna, exactly how many scouts are there? Usagi made it look like it was only her, Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako. But I've always been curious if there were more."
"That information is not necessary right now," Luna replied calmly. "So there is no need to even talk about it."
"Hm," Azula smiled to herself and continued walking.
They came across the local arcade of the district and walked in. The teenage boy behind the counter gave her a wave. Motoki was always the type to greet you with a big, wide smile. "Azula, your father said he would be taking a business trip tonight so it's going to be just you and Keiko tonight."
Azula gave a small nod. "Thanks, I'm sure Keiko's gonna love the fact she gets to babysit her dear old step-sister tonight."
He laughed. "Keiko doesn't treat you bad."
"No, she doesn't, I just like teasing her." Azula turned her back and leaned against the counter.
Her father actually owned the arcade - which made it easier to sneak into and use the underneath grounds for their secret Moon base - and he was usually in and out of the house attending to it. Azula's parents had been divorced since she could remember and she had lived with her American mother in America until her passing. At seven years, Azula had been taken in by her father in Japan and was introduced to her step-sister, Keiko Keena. Keiko wasn't actually related to Azula but they didn't care. Both girls had been an only child within their original families and wanted to experience having sisters. And after Keiko's own mother had passed away, Azula's father grew to see Keiko as his own. The were a small, complex family but nonetheless a family.
"Not again!" a girl cried in despair when she lost at the Sailor V game. She dropped her head over the controls, her long blonde hair falling down.
Azula motioned Motoki to watch her school bag for a minute while she went to the crying girl. "Usagi? Let me guess, the computer won? Again?" She laughed.
Usagi Tsukino was no stranger to losing to automated computers. She raised her head for a minute and gave a nod. "It keeps beating me."
"You might wanna try 'beginner'," Azula teased, prompting Usagi to drop her head on the controls again.
"You should be nice to your best customer!" she heard Usagi's muffled voice a second later. Azula looked down at Luna, both amusingly shaking their heads at Usagi.
"C'mon, Usagi, don't you have homework you're going to forget about or something?"
Usagi jumped from her chair like a bed spring. "I HAVE MATH TO DO!"
"There it is," Azula's voice was barely heard beside Usagi's loud shout. The blonde girl scrambled a quick goodbye, not even noticing her own cat, and ran out." Hard to believe she was actually a refined, Moon princess in another life," Azula remarked afterwards. Luna groaned beside her.
After a couple of minutes Azula and Luna left the arcade and were subjected to a sudden heat in the air that hadn't been there earlier. Though it was strange, as it really wasn't time for heat anymore, neither made a comment about it. Instead, Azula opted for a lunch on her own. Luna wasn't surprised by it though since nearly every day, at the exact hour, Minako Aino, Makoto Kino and Mamoru Chiba all ate their lunches, separately, but there. Azula just liked watching them all, even if it was from afar. Fruits Parlor Crown was a nostalgic place.
"There is no rule that you cannot speak to any of them," Luna would say just before Azula walked into the restaurant.
"Usagi wanted to be normal and I'm trying to respect that. Everyone wanted to be normal. The only reason I talk to her is because you're with me and, well, kinda awkward," Azula sucked in a breath and greeted Motoki's younger sister, Unazuki, the waitress before finding an empty table.
Just like each day she would come in, Azula pretended to do her homework while she ate. This was the only times where she could more or less learn what went on with her friends without actually talking to them. She knew it was probably strange but she really didn't want to compromise their memories. She already carried the burden of remembering everything that happened and, while Luna and Artemis did keep up at the base, she felt like it was her responsibility to be on the look out for anything potentially dangerous. She was the person, after all, that remembered everything - that had to count for something right? She wasn't just like any ordinary person.
"What's...that…?" Unazuki's voice pulled Azula from her mathematics book. The young girl was pointing at the glass window where they all saw a black cloud literally floating.
Azula's eyes widened in alarm, and frankly fear. She got up from her chair and stared in bewilderment as the cloud floated past the cafe in broad daylight. Everyone else in the cafe were doing the same thing.
Luna rushed out the door without even warning Azula.
"Luna!" cried Azula before running out herself. Her red, flaming hair bopped as she hurried down the stairs to get to the street.
There was a loud scream down the street and it was of course due to the black puff of cloud. It had captured someone, apparently, and had everyone else around running away from it. Azula skidded to a halt and gasped at the sight. The black cloud, which now began to look more like a shadow, had entangled a young woman with black thunder that kept the woman still, but in pain.
"I need the Shadow Crystal!" the purple-black cloud demanded.
"It talks?" Azula was frazzled but Luna skipped that part and went on to the concern stage.
"Somebody's got to help her!"
Azula turned sideways to find Makoto a couple inches behind her. From further behind Azula spotted Minako and Mamoru apart from each other. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me…"
"We're going to have to call Usagi!" Luna warned Azula, but both knew that even if they did do that Usagi would not get there in time to save the poor woman.
The victim screamed as something was pulled right from her chest: a shining white crystal with freckles of gold.
"A white crystal!?" went the black shadow, obviously angry at the results. "You have wasted Senka's time, puny human!" the black thunder around the woman vanished and the woman dropped to the ground. The white crystal slowly lowered until it returned to the woman's body. "I shall try another one!" and the cloud suddenly moved in the direction of Azula.
"Luna I don't suppose you could grant me temporary powers…?" Azula took a step back.
"I'm afraid not…" and Luna truly lamented it. She was sure Azula would have made a fine Sailor Scout.
"Yeah…" Azula gulped.
"Halt!" went a new, feminine voice that froze the cloud for a moment. "You shall not go any further!"
Azula, and the others, followed the voice up to the top of a parked truck across the street. There stood a woman with long, straight brown hair and stark, golden eyes. She was dressed in a long-sleeved body suit tucked underneath a pleated, light brown skirt with golden hemlines and matching short, golden boots with light, brown laces. The top part of the body suit exposed her middle with light, brown thick strings running across. There was a golden jewel piece going around her forehead, reminding Azula of the tiaras the Sailor Scouts wore, only this one had a golden sphere at the center. It matched the golden sphere necklace around her neck.
While everyone stared in awe, Mamoru felt a sharp jab at the side of his head.
Young Prince Endymion had wandered from the castle and came across a lonely field of almost dry grass. It was strange because as far as he knew everything on Earth was full of life and cared for. Something was wrong.
He stepped over the long weeds and keenly looked around for anything more suspicious. Suddenly, he crashed into a wall - an  invisible wall. He had to shake his head just to see if it had been his own illusion. He reached out and came across a wall, indeed, that rippled upon his touch.
"Halt," a female voice commanded.
Endymion turned to find a woman, similar in age to him at least by appearance. Long, straight, brown hair billowed in the wind that wasn't there a minute ago. Dressed in shades of gold and light brown, she held out a golden sword towards him.
"You must not pass," she warned. Endymion looked around just to make sure the woman was talking to him and not someone who perhaps followed him. His generals were no stranger to doing that. "Yes, prince, I am speaking to you," the woman read his thoughts and gave a small smile. "I know who you are, and I know you must be very confused but I cannot allow you to get any further."
"Who are you?" Endymion finally found his voice and began to demand. He knew every possible fighter in the Kingdom and he had never seen the woman before.
The woman lowered her weapon and got down on one knee. "I am Sailor Hemera, an honorary Shadow scout of light and day, protector of the barrier between the Earth Kingdom and the Shadow kingdom."
"The...Shadow kingdom…?"
Sailor Hemera's golden eyes raised up to the Prince. "The Shadow Kingdom led by Queen Nyx and her daughter, Princess Reign."
Could that be the same woman he just saw? And if so, why had he seen that vision all of a sudden? Mamoru wasn't sure, but he definitely wasn't leaving now.
"Step away from the nice girl or suffer the consequences," the mysterious woman ordered calmly of the shadow.
The shadow cackled. Apparently, the woman had been funny. "And just who do you think you are little girl?"
The woman, who seemed young in appearance, regarded the shadow with pure disdain. She somersaulted off the truck and landed gracefully on her feet. "An honorary Guardian of Shadow, I am the Sailor Scout of Day and Light! I am...Sailor Hemera!"
"A Sailor Scout!?" Azula nearly fell backwards. Luna too was gaping.
"You are from Shadow?" the cloud, Senka, suddenly grew interested.
"And you are from the Shadow Dominion, are you not?" Sailor Hemera raised her head. "I knew there was a reason why I was awakened. You want the Shadow Crystal, don't you?"
"I am Senka, created by the Trinity Guardians. I am the Queen of the Shadow Dominion and I will find my Shadow Crystal!"
"The Shadow Crystal was never yours!" Sailor Hemera reached to her forehead where the golden circle suddenly sprouted headband fabric, forming a clean, clear headband altogether around her head. "Glimmering boomerang attack!" she flung the tiara towards Senka.
"Watch out!" Makoto had yanked Azula backwards as the boomerang whipped in the area. Azula nearly fell back if Minako hadn't rushed up to help keep her steady.
The boomerang went right through Senka but she groaned like it had actually hurt her. Gold power swirled within her shadow form for a couple of seconds. "I am not strong yet!" Senka cried and vanished into thin air.
Sailor Hemera caught her golden boomerang and easily placed it back on her forehead.
"I-is she gone?" Azula asked just as Sailor Hemera turned to leave.
"Yes, but she wasn't defeated. Senka will return and look for the Shadow Crystal again."
"What is that? A-and who are you?"
"Sailor Hemera," Mamoru spoke before the woman could. Everyone turned to look at him but he was busy staring at Sailor Hemera herself. She seemed startled by his determination that it was her. No human should have that much recognition of her and yet here was this one…
"You should all be careful," Sailor Hemera warned deeply and made her getaway.
Makoto and Minako went to see how the victim was doing but Azula remained in her spot unable to do anything. She looked down at Luna who was just as concerned as she was, then they both glanced at Mamoru. He had remembered? No...that couldn't be it. But then why was he staring at the Sailor Scout the way he was?
I think I’ve alluded to ranch days without being specific. Hear me out: Glenn and Robin retire to a ranch like the Uncle Davids in that one great post. Here’s some ranch days writing. No, I don’t know how and when adult Nick and adult Grant got together, I am so simply informed that this happens and therefore have proceeded accordingly. They are tired dads of triplet toddlers and I worked from there.
“You’re nervous,” Nick says. He’s not asking, he’s telling. Grant’s knee has been bouncing rapidly for the past five minutes, as soon as they took the exit off the freeway and started making their way down the increasingly rural roads toward the ranch.
Grant’s voice is tight. “I’m fine. I’m just adjusting to a new situation.”
“Letting our parents watch the kids while we have a weekend away isn’t a new situation,” Nick says quietly.
“It’s different,” Grant replies. “My parents are—“
“Sane? Responsible? Usually sober?” Nick volunteers. “I know, I know, Glenn’s got priors. But he’s clear on the rules and he knows we’ll come down hard on him if he even bends them. He’s always done fine when he comes to our place to babysit.”
“Except when Morgan gave Bub a haircut on his watch,” Grant mutters.
“That could have happened to anyone,” Nick says, a hint defensively. “Toddlers are like that. Hair grows.”
Grant looks back at the kids in the backseat, lined up neatly in their carseats and utterly oblivious to their dads’ discussion. Bub has his headphones in, listening to music with eyes closed and his head nodding along to the beat. Birdie is playing with the felt activity book that Mrs. Stampler made her for Christmas, and Morgan is asleep, her mouth hanging wide open and her head lolling gently with the car’s movement. He turns back to look at the road ahead of them before he starts to get carsick, just in time to watch Nick slow down and turn onto an unmarked gravel road.
“What if there’s an accident?” Grant frets. “They’re so far away from everything. An ambulance would take so long.”
“Fortunately, this weekend there will be a skilled physician on site who specializes in emergency medicine,” Nick says dryly. “That’s above and beyond, isn’t it?”
“In general, yeah,” Grant says. “When it’s specifically Connor…”
There’s a slightly tense silence as they drive slowly along, punctuated by the rattle of gravel under their tires and the occasional ping as a piece flies up to hit the undercarriage of the car. Nick removes one of his hands from the wheel and offers it to Grant. Grant takes it in his own hand and gives it a gentle squeeze.
“I know you don’t forgive my dad for everything that happened when I was younger,” Nick says quietly. Grant starts to speak, but Nick shakes his head. “You don’t have to, it’s fine. But it’s been a long time, and I trust him to handle this. If you don’t—“
“—I’m not saying I don’t—“
“—then tell me now and I’ll turn around and we can go home.”
Before Grant can respond, they follow a curve in the road and Nick has to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting a doe that’s standing in the middle of the lane. The tires skid on the gravel and they stop only yards away from the undersized creature. The two men sit in silence, watching her. The doe regards the car with ambivalence for a moment before tossing her head and hurrying away into the brush.
“A deer,” Birdie says with awe from the backseat. “Daddy, I saw a deer.”
“That’s right,” Grant says automatically. “That’s a deer, honey, good job.”
Bub pulls his headphones off and tries to press his face against the window. “I don’t see it. Where is it?” His voice is loud, and causes Morgan to give the snuffling snort that means she’s about to wake up and demand food, attention, and a detailed recap of everything she missed while she was asleep. Nick starts driving again.
“No! I need to see it!” Bub protests fretfully. “Don’t drive!”
“You can see deer when we get there,” Grant says reassuringly. “There are lots and lots of animals at the ranch. We’re almost there, okay?”
Nick glances over at him. “So we’re sticking to the original plan?”
Grant sighs and nods. “You’re right. They’re going to have a ton of fun, and it’s going to be fine.”
“And we’re going to have a fun weekend, too,” Nick says firmly. “With uninterrupted conversations about actual topics, and dinner out someplace where they don’t give you crayons to color on the menu.”
“I’m gonna sleep in,” Grant agrees. “So much. It’s been too long.”
The car finally rounds the last curve of the twisting road, and the ranch appears in front of them. Glenn is waiting by the gate, wearing only short denim cutoffs and broken-down cowboy boots. He wears the look with all the confidence of a chiseled man in the prime of his life, despite all the gray in his unruly hair and the solid little belly he’s sported ever since he hit fifty or so.
Glenn hops down off the fence to open the gate so they can drive inside, waving them through. They’re barely inside before a dark blur zips past in the rear-view mirror. There’s a thump from behind them as Glenn vaults over the trunk, then a confused explosion of feathers and noise as a six foot tall… something… rushes away from the gate and past the car. The kids shriek in terrified glee from the backseat.
“Is that an emu?” Grant manages to ask.
“Daddy!” Birdie sounds triumphant. “I saw a dinosaur!”
Nick doesn’t respond. He rolls down the window, his face blank, and waits for his father to approach the car. Glenn hurls a handful of gravel in the direction of the retreating bird and then ambles over, leaning down to look inside their vehicle. “Stupid feathery fuck,” he says. “Sup, Nicholas. How was the drive?”
I Thought You Wouldn’t Hurt Me, But You Did Part 6
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/22839535/chapters/55897732 Tag list: @emo-elaine13 @marinettepotterandplagg
Ok, so here’s the next part asked by for Snow_Leopard_777 and ArchangelBloodraven!! This chap...goes before chap 5 I guess. Lol. I hope you guys enjoy it!!
Manon and Chris couldn’t believe their eyes when they first went over to Mari’s place to be watched. Chris had been given a warning from his brother, saying that Mari was different, that it wasn’t going to be like the last time Mari babysat him. But he wasn’t told HOW it was going to be different. He couldn’t blame his brother for not saying how, there wasn’t a good way to SAY how. Any way he could have said would have sounded blunt or mean or pitiful. The only pity Nino had was the pity that he didn’t act faster. Didn’t stop his classmates from doing that.
Not to say that Mari deserves to be in the wheelchair. She absolutely doesn’t. But she doesn’t need pity. Pity won’t help her heal or get stronger. Nino knows that. So he does whatever she needs to help. And if she wanted a little bit of normalcy by babysitting Manon and Chris, then he’d let her. He’d just be there too in case she needed help and to make sure the two kids didn’t say anything mean about it accidentally.
Manon didn’t know how to react. She and her mom hadn’t gotten any warning. Nadja had signed Mari’s wheelchair sure, but she thought that it wasn’t a permanent thing. Sabine hadn’t said anything besides asking her to sign her daughter’s new wheelchair. So a month after Mari had left the hospital and gone back to school, she thought she’d be walking again. How wrong she was. That was the reason Nadja hadn’t asked Mari to babysit Manon. She had told Manon that Mari was healing after being hurt and Manon was angry but understood that she couldn’t play with Mari. But to learn that Mari would actually never fully heal? Well, Manon didn’t know how to act.
She could only stare shocked as Mari talked with Nadja about watching her. Chris and Nino were already there sitting on the couch playing a game together. Chris waved her over and she climbed onto the couch next to him and he handed her a remote and the three started playing while the two talked.
After playing for about an hour the doorbell rang and Mari went to it. Standing behind it was Nora with her twin sisters, Ella and Etta. “Hey, Marinette. Mom and dad are busy and couch needs me to come in and Alya is grounded from watching them,” she explained and Mari nodded understanding.
“I understand, Nora. I can watch them,” Mari replied and Nora smiled at her thankful.
“Thank you, Marinette,” Nora replied as the two girls ran into the room to play with Manon and Chris. Nora shook Mari’s hand as she stepped out of the apartment with a wave. “I’ll give you the money when I come back. I don’t have any cash on me,” Nora said and Mari waved her hand.
“Nonsense. You don’t have to pay Nora. I adore the girls,” Mari replied and Nora looked shocked.
“I-we’ll continue this when I get back. Be good, Ella and Etta!” Nora called before leaving once she heard their understanding. Mari then went back to the four children and Nino and started playing a game.
Gabriel couldn’t care less that the original Ladybug and Chat Noir disappeared.
Ok, no.
He did care.
But not for the reason you’d think.
He only cares since the new Ladybug and Chat Noir, excuse him, Ladybird and Jinx, are better. They could typically get the Akuma dealt with quickly. And it pissed him off greatly. He could only growl as he thought about the last Akuma he sent out. It was defeated in an hour. Ladybug and Chat usually took a few hours at least to defeat his Akuma.
But turns out that’s the least of his problems. Turns out his son is being sued and given a few restraining orders. He didn’t understand what happened. Adrien wasn’t telling him and Nathalie was tense anytime he asked. “Nathalie, why is Adrien being sued? I need to deal with this, it’s hurting the brand,” Gabriel spoke and Nathalie looked down at her tablet before typing quickly.
“Marinette Dupain-Cheng is suing Adrien for harassment, sir,” Nathalie said at last after a bit turning the tablet to him to show the papers. Gabriel growled at that as he looked at the tablet.
“Is there anything we can do to stop this?” he demanded.
“I’m not sure, sir,” she replied honestly.
“Get Miss Dupain-Cheng’s number I’m going to talk to her,” Gabriel said and Nathalie nodded understanding and pulled it up before sending it to Gabriel’s phone and walked out of his office. He picked his phone up and dialed the number Nathalie sent him. It rung a few times before she picked up.
“Hello, this is Marinette. Who’s calling?” Mari’s voice came through the receiver.
“Hello, Miss Dupain-Cheng. This is Gabriel Agreste, Adrien’s father. I was calling in the hopes of talking about this lawsuit you have against my son,” he said and he heard faint movement from the other side.
“What are you hoping to happen, Mr. Agreste? Are you hoping that you can threaten me out of suing him?” she asked and Gabriel cleared his throat at that.
“For starters, I’d appreciate knowing the finer details of why you are suing my son,” he answered.
“I don’t have to tell you that. The basics are written in the papers. Any finer details will come out during the talks or trail. I don’t particularly wish to go to court but if Adrien doesn’t cooperate, I will go to court to settle this,” Mari said and he could tell she was serious about this.
“Have you set up the meeting?”
“Yes. My lawyer set up the meeting with yours. It’s soon so you’ll want to talk to your lawyers,” Mari answered coolly. “Good day, Mr. Agreste. See you then.”
She then hung up and Gabriel glared at his phone as he set it on his desk and paged Nathalie at her desk.
“Yes, sir?”
“Get our lawyers here now, Nathalie. We need to figure out everything before the meeting,” Gabriel said and Nathalie nodded understanding.
“Of course sir.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mari shouted as the building shook. The four kids screamed while Mari and Nino worked on calming them down. After getting them calmed down and away from any and all windows, Mari and Nino went to a window to look out it. An Akuma, Mr. Pigeon luckily, was rampaging once more. Ladybird and Jinx were already there fighting him. It was interesting for Mari to watch them fight, was that how I looked fighting him? She thought but shook her head. No use thinking about it, especially since she had a harder time because she had to deal with Chat’s allergy.
No, what she needed to think about was why the building shook.
Mr. Pigeon couldn’t do that. He just controlled pigeons. So what’s causing the buildings to shake.
“Mari!” Nino called pointing a finger out to the side.
“Oh no,” she mumbled. Next to the building Nino’s finger pointed at was a second Akuma. “Go to the kitchen and sit in the corner between the counters. That’ll be safe for us,” Mari said and the four kids went to the counters and sat down. Nino was quick to follow. Mari followed after them and Nino helped her onto the floor before she positioned the wheelchair in front of them. Mari hugged the twins to her while they buried themselves into her sides. Nino hugged Chris and Manon to himself as well and the two hummed softly to the children to calm them.
They stayed like that until the fighting was done. Which took longer because of there being two Akuma’s instead of only one. It was terrifying to be waiting for the fight to be over. The ground shook horribly.
Things fell down.
Pictures broke.
Discs fell into impossible places.
Dust left the ceiling.
Cracks formed in the walls.
Mari didn’t know what to feel except for fear. She was terrified of what was happening. She wasn’t Ladybug. She couldn’t help. She could barely help protect the kids. She could barely hold in her cheers when the Cure was cast and ladybugs flew through the apartment fixing everything. Mari could only sigh in relief when that happened. The twins left her side and let her get back into her wheelchair. Granted, she needed Nino’s help, but once that was done, they went back to the TV to play.
Ok, so here’s this. I hope you guys enjoyed it. Sorry bout how long it took. Also, so, updates are going to be very slow sadly. My laptop is........dying. There’s no better way to put it. I got it a new battery but rn its not seeing it anymore. Its acting like there is no battery. So ya. We’ll see if anything happens when the new cable comes in....but who knows when that’ll happen with this pandemic happening. I just don’t know. My laptop may die soon, or it may not. It’s up in the air, only my laptop knows and it’s not going to tell me. Until next time! -Love Willa<3<3<3

INTRO :: LONG JOURNEY ——— like butterfly wings
the end of the trimester marks a new point in hwang minjun’s life. through the many twists and turns, he’s gradually shaping himself and spreading his wings.
minjun isn’t my first muse of the year, but he is the one i’ve grown incredibly attached to, with connections i never imagined he’d have. i missed the halfway point of the year, i meant to post this on his birthday, july 10th, but better late than never, right? this also serves as a thank you to everyone who plotted with minjun—he continues to develop as a character because of you all, both he and i can’t thank you enough !
PERSONALITY
not a lot has changed in terms of his personality, he continues to be a person eager to please, an overachiever at times, to the point where he’d push himself a little too far. he’s learning to overcome this flaw, to let others take care of him, listen when he’s being told that he’s working too hard. to give himself a break when he needs it. he’s opening his arms to different types of people, more than happy to accommodate all types of personalities if it meant building friendships. at the end of the day, he still has a lot of love to give.
CAREER
the beginning of it all—the valentines event drew out minjun’s infamous aegyo, which went viral within the blink of an eye. it may not be as significant as what follows, but it’s still an event that brings a smile to his face.
fear accompanied him when he auditioned for project origin, but the experience made him realise something important—what matters is that he stayed true to himself as he performs, gives it very best with every little stomp and twist, pour all he can with each move. and eventually, he’ll be rewarded.
type zero chipped away at his confidence, the pressures of being a replacement were heavy on his shoulders. gradually, he learns that he doesn’t have to deal with it on his own—after all, type zero is a group first and foremost, lifting one another up. it’s fine to be himself, he doesn’t need to pretend to be someone else.
being a part of project origin and legacy boys gave him opportunities he wouldn’t dare imagine even in his wildest dreams. the tour opened his eyes to new heights, brought him out of his shell, introduced him to a greater stage, one he had the privilege to perform on, including a solo performance. boarding a plane hadn’t been easy, minjun never ventured so far before. it’s a terrifying experience, but one he wouldn’t erase.
RELATIONSHIPS a recap of minjun’s connections thus far, from his point of view.
minjun finds himself facing pages of the past when he reunites with ( @lgcinsoo ), a fellow dancer from his old days that he used to admire. to his surprise, the reunion was far from awkward, ending with a promise to hang out whenever they find the time. though they’re walking different paths now, minjun will always be rooting for insoo. he hopes the time they hang out again will come soon.
( @lgcjiho ) had been another plushie collector, and was the person who managed to draw out minjun’s aegyo, causing him to go viral. in a way, minjun owes jiho his thanks, even more so for always seeming so eager to join him in his little tea parties. he believes project origin drew the two even closer, what with their shared fear for airplanes. they comforted one another like friends would, minjun won’t forget that day.
not all has been smooth sailing, he hit stormy waves when he went overboard with ( @lgchunji ). he’s not sure what he had done wrong specifically, but he knows it had to do with his desire to extend his hand even though he had been warned against it. minjun wants to fix things, tape back the string of friendship that he had broken. however, that isn’t his decision to make. either way, he can only hope hunji is thriving with whatever it is he’s doing. hunji helped him realise that there is merit to sticking to his own lane, to not shove himself into situations that doesn’t concern him.
he tried again to help someone else, ( @lgceunji ) this time. seeing her in a seemingly bad state after the prank worried him, and he did what he can do. offer a silent comfort and company, then gifting her one of his prized possessions, a small bear plushie. he intends to check up on her every now and then, even if he’s busy with the tour. he thinks of her as a little sister he wants to protect.
although it took a few days to adjust, he found friends among the type zero members. his worries were eased after his conversation with ( @lgcxking ), and minjun isn’t shy to admit that he admires the other for his determination and strong will. king’s bravery shown throughout the tour, like when king invited him to bungee jump, but also when king challenged himself to take part in babysitting services. he has a lot of respect for king.
among the project origin members, he finds himself adoring ( @lgcharu ), someone he can’t help but feel like he wants to take care of. discussing their characters aided minjun in figuring out how to ease himself into musical acting, something he had never done before. he had a lot of fun with haru throughout the tour as well, spending a part of their chuseok holidays together.
his encounter with ( @lgcemil ) had been one he hadn’t expected, meeting the other in the practice room when he intended to practice into the late night. he can’t hide his concern for emil, and although he doesn’t want to overstep his boundaries, he wants to become a friend that emil can count on whenever he’s feeling a little down.
there are a few special mentions. ( @lgceunho ) bonded with him when they were locked in a practice room, and although minjun would rather not get himself in such a situation ever again, he’s glad he had been stuck with eunho, who is a fun person to be around. panicking with ( @lgcxminseok ) over the april fools prank and playing with the animals in the shelter was a delightful time. during the project origin tour, he had a blast with king, ( @lgcyonghwa ) and ( @lgcmax ). yonghwa seems like a reliable older brother that minjun can count on. max’s bursts of energy draws out his own, there’s never a boring time with max. he didn’t know ( @lgcjueun ) before babysitting services, but as it turns out, taking care of kids together is another good way to bond.
YOON SHINHA ——— forever you are my star
( @lgcshinha ) appeared to him like a storm, wrecking his world in the best way possible. he encountered the enigma that is yoon shinha when he reached out towards the same cat plushie that the other did. it’s an out of the blue suggestion when he said they should share the plushie instead, but he wouldn’t have it any other day. that was the beginning of something beautiful—an encounter with an impact that will last a lifetime.
it’s a little funny when it turns out they ended up as roommates, but that makes it easier for them to take care of their little family. looking back, minjun isn’t sure when exactly things started to change between the two of them, where they drew the line between friendship and something else. it’s hard for minjun not to fall for shinha though, not when shinha took care of him like no one else ever had. the illusion of having a family with the other felt more real as days go by, to the point where minjun is afraid that he’d eventually do what he does best: overstep and ruin everything.
he had never, for the life of him, thought that shinha would feel the same way. and yet, after a long night of rigorous practice and a shared night in their dorm with no one else around, they laid their feelings out on the table. it all happened too fast, but it still felt like it was yesterday. minjun recalled the beating of his heart picking up pace, too quick for him to keep up. he remembers the tears that were in the corner of his eyes, ever the emotional person he was. but they left things up in the air, until...
july 10th, minjun’s birthday and the day the stars aligned. shinha keeps proving himself as someone minjun can’t help but think he doesn’t deserve sometimes. the gifts shinha bestowed upon him that day is enough to make his heart swell, he remembers feeling as if he’ll burst. a mix of emotions coursed through him that day, but overall he can say that he’s elated, he’s in love. that is further confirmed when shinha asked him out, and the tears he usually would try so hard to hide flowed almost endlessly. they became one that day, but minjun feels as if they were always one.
with project origin taking most of his time, he wasn’t granted enough time to spend with his beloved, but he can’t complain—not out loud, at the very least. the tour had been an experience minjun wouldn’t trade for the world, yet he finds himself thinking about shinha whenever he’s alone with his thoughts. texts and video calls weren’t nearly enough, he missed shinha’s presence by his side most of all. it was torture, but he believes in shinha, in their relationship, in them. minjun knows they can go through whatever hardships may come.
seeing shinha again during kcon backstage brought forth the longing he had been feeling the past month. but they’re strong, if they can survive a tour, then they’ll be able to handle worse.
a new trimester begins, and future dreams is knocking on their doors. minjun doesn’t wish for much, but if he could wish for one thing—he wants the both of them to debut, together.
THE ROAD AHEAD
above all, minjun intends to debut. he knows he’s meant to be on stage, and he wants to prove that he’s worth it. he doesn’t know what future dreams will bring, but he’s eager to show off what hwang minjun can do.
there are a lot of people he still wants to befriend, particularly those who will be participating in future dreams. there may be a competitive element, however friendly rivalry isn’t a bad thing.
he’s eager to brush up on his language skills, particularly japanese. with the workshop, that may be achievable. there seems to be a strong market in japan, so he wants to try it out.
despite the fun time he experienced in babysitting services, he’s eager to try out the other two variety shows. he isn’t the best at cooking, but masterchef legacy piqued his interests.

Babysitter
Steve x Reader
Notes:  This originally started as a Kylo fic, but I'm in a super big Steve rut, so, here you go. I started on this ages ago- think June- and I had the urge to finish it.
Warnings: NSFW (Daddy kink, vaginal sex, oral sex, vaginal fingering, squirting), age difference, slight underage (where I live, the reader is over the age of consent, so nothing illegal happens). Cursing. Do not read is any of the following warnings offend you.

Whenever you had started babysitting, it was only for neighbors or family friends. It was only with the older kids- roughly 6 to 9- and you’d pick them up after school and take them to their house, watch them until one of their parents came back, get paid, and go home. Apparently, people were impressed with how well you handled the children since you had parents reaching out to you, and not the other way around.
One particular client that stuck out was Steve. He was a single father, and he’d have you babysit his son, James, whenever he had to work nights, which required you staying at his house until the early hours of the morning. Originally you'd thought that your mother wouldn’t approve; he’s a grown man after all, and you would be over at his house until the sun came up, but she didn’t seem to think twice about it since he was her boss. You weren’t complaining though; how most clients paid a measly five dollars an hour, Steve would hand you a hundred dollar bill as you walked out the door and to your car. He’d always stand in the doorway and watch as you drove off, and he had requested you text him whenever you get home, so he would know you got home safe.
His son was by far your favorite child to watch over. He was named after one of Steve’s friends- James. He was a big kid for his age, only 6 years old and standing three inches over four feet, but it wasn’t surprising considering his father was a giant of a man. His hair was the same dirty blond hair as Steve's, but his face shared little to no resemblance to Steve’s. His eyes weren’t the endless blue pools, and his skin lacked the signature moles, so you figured he took mostly after his mother.
When it came to James’ mom, she was a neat mystery. You knew her name, which was Peggy, but other than that there was no sign of her being present in either of their lives. There were no pictures of her within his house, Steve didn’t wear a ring, and James rarely mentioned her; the only time he did was when he told you her name. You were curious about her but had half a mind to keep your curiosity to yourself. James didn’t seem to know much, and Steve? He was a sweet man, but you didn't want to overstep any boundaries.
     -
You scraped the dirt out from under your nails as you waited for the final bell to ring; you were babysitting James tonight and had to pick him up from school. He had told you that some of the kids in his class had a crush on you, which you found comical. You had never thought yourself to be the prettiest girl; you didn’t have perfect hair or completely clear skin, or the never-ending legs that only models seem to have, but you did feel a bit flattered knowing that first graders thought you were cute.
You were pulled from your thoughts when someone tapped on your shoulder. You turned to see Mason, one of your friends, sitting behind you with a grin on his face.
“What?” You turned the rest of your body so you were sideways in your seat.
“Are you doing anything later tonight? I was thinking maybe we could play some Minecraft or something.”
You shook your head. “Sorry, I’m babysitting again tonight. Steve’s working late again, so I have to stay until late.” The bell rang, and you started to pack up your things when Mason scoffed.
“Babysitting? On the weekend? That’s tragic.” He patted your shoulder in mocked sympathy.
“Oh please, I’m getting paid to watch one of the sweetest kids and have access to practically unlimited food. It’s not that bad,” you said as the two of you walked down the hallway. “Besides, Steve’s house is so nice. It looks like something out of a movie.”
Mason rolled his eyes and adjusted the strap of his bag. “This guy sounds kinda creepy. He’s loaded, and his baby mama is nowhere to be seen? The only known person from his personal life is his friend, who he named his kid after. Only sketchy guys do that.”
You smacked his arm with a decent amount of force. “Just because he’s got money and doesn’t have many personal ties doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy. Maybe he’s just a loner type.”
“You say that now, but just wait until you find a body in his basement.”
He pushed open the door for you and walked with you to your car. “Look, I’ve got to hurry; I’m picking up Han from school.”
“Oh, I see. A six-year-old is more deserving of your time than I am. We’ve been friends longer than he’s been alive.” Mason held a smug smirk on his face as he crossed his arms.
It was your turn to roll your eyes at him. “You know it. Maybe we’ll get to play tomorrow, but I’ll text you in a bit.”
You got into your car and began to pull away when Mason called out, “Let me know when you find the body!”
     -
“Hey, bud! How was school?”
You held open the door for James as he climbed into the backseat. He flashed you a smile, his lack of one front tooth on display.
“Good! We played kickball during recess, and my team won.”
You pulled out of the parking lot and began the drive to his house. “Well, I’m glad. Anything else happen?”
He unzipped his bag and pulled out a piece of paper. “In art class, we were painting with watercolors, and I made this.” He held out the paper for you to look at.
You glanced down at it for a second, since you had to pay attention to the road, but you smiled at what you saw. He had drawn himself, Steve, and you.
“That’s really good, James. Did you choose to paint that for a certain reason?”
He put the painting back in his bag. “We were supposed to paint our family, so I did.”
You looked up at him through the rearview mirror. He had his cute little smile on his face, and you felt one beginning to mirror on your own.
“That was very kind of you.”
~
The rest of the ride was pretty much uneventful. You stopped by the grocery store and picked up some drinks and some frozen pizza. Currently, you were popping the pizza into the oven as James babbled about the rest of his day.
“-and there’s this new boy at school- his name is Lucas- and he’s really cute. I’m thinking about asking him to be my boyfriend.” James didn’t even look up from his coloring book as he gushed about how cute this boy was.
“I think I’ll have to meet this boy first. I’m not sure if he’s worthy of the glorious James himself.” You sat down next to James and looked at what he was doing.
He looked up at you and handed you a few crayons. “Want to help me?”
“And ruin your masterpiece? I think you should handle this one.” You rested your head against your hand as you watched him color.
“I can give you a piece to color!” Before you could say otherwise, he ripped out the next page and handed it to you. You chuckled and picked up a blue crayon.
“You just want to prove that you’re a better colorer than me, don’t you?” You looked up to see James struggling to suppress a smile.
“Maybe.”
 ~
“I’m afraid it is time for bed, buddy.”
He let out an exaggerated whine. “Just a little longer, please?”
You rolled your eyes. “You said that fifteen minutes ago. Come on, let’s get you to bed.” You placed your hand on his back and ushered him to his room. Once he was all settled in, you began to stand when he grabbed your wrist.
“What is it, bud?”
He had a mischievous smile on his face. “I think my dad likes you.”
You gave him a small smile. “Yeah, I hope he does. He’s paying me to watch you.”
James shook his head. “I mean, likes like you. He thinks you’re pretty, and you are.”
You felt your cheeks heat up. Sure, you thought that Steve was attractive, who didn’t? The fact was that you were still a minor; granted, almost eighteen but not for a few more months, and this man was at least in his mid-thirties.
“What makes you say that?”
“Sometimes I hear him say your name when he thinks I’m sleeping. He sounds like he’s running or something. It’s weird, but I think it means he likes you.”
Your heart began to pump wildly. This man gets off thinking about you? The logical part of your brain told you that you should leave, find this disgusting, but a part deep inside you felt heat begin to simmer at your core.
“Well, regardless if he likes me or not, you need to go to bed.” You turn on his nightlight before kissing his forehead. “Goodnight, buddy.”
     ~
You couldn’t get James’ words out of your head.
Steve liked you? It was wrong, but it felt good, too.
God, listen to you ramble about your client. He probably doesn’t even look at you that way. Even if he did, he definitely wouldn’t go around telling his son about it.
You groaned and flopped down on the couch. What were you supposed to do now? Usually, you’d sleep, but your core was too warm and tingly for that. You need to get over this crush. You grabbed the remote off of the coffee table and turned on the TV, hoping that the noise would distract you from your aching arousal.
It didn’t.
Halfway through the episode of Criminal Minds, you gave in and slipped your hand down the front of your shorts and underwear. Your fingertips skimmed over your moist folds, and you held back a small moan. Your index finger slipped down to your clit, and you made small, soft circles around it, before moving your middle finger down to your entrance.
You ceased the attention on your clit as you sank your finger into your pussy, and you gasped. You were imagining Steve slipping his long, thick fingers deep inside you. Your walls clenched down on your finger, and then you slipped in a second.
"Steve..." You couldn't stop his name from slipping out, but it felt so right.
You sped up your fingers, but your shorts were restricting your movements, so with your free hand, you reached down and pushed them off your hips along with your underwear.
You lied on Steve's sofa naked from the waist down, the only thing covering you is a small throw blanket.
In your daydream, Steve had you pinned down as he pounded into you while whispering filthy things in your ear, calling you his little girl.
"Daddy!" you gasped as your fingers curled into a spot deep inside you, causing you to see stars. The knot in your stomach was threatening to snap. "Daddy, Steve, I'm gonna-"
"Cum?" At the sound of Steve's voice, you screeched and yanked your hand away from your core.
"Oh! Um, Steve, hi?" You didn't need a mirror to know your face was beet red- from being so close to release and being caught. "I didn't expect you back so early." God, why do you have to sound so out of breath?!
"I'm not early. I'm late if anything." Steve pointed at the large clock on the wall, and he was right; it was almost one in the morning. "But I see you were too distracted to notice."
You didn't think your face could get any hotter, but it did. There was no denying that he caught you knuckle-deep in your cunt.
"I-I'm so sorry you had to see-"
"Do you do this every time?" His face was intense, but you couldn't read it.
Your heart was in your throat. He thought that you've done this before? Fuck, he's probably going to make you leave. He'll probably tell your mom, too.
"N-no, sir! I swear! I don't-"
"Sir? I thought you preferred Daddy." Steve began to stalk towards you, his eyes more intense than his face. They were almost completely black with lust, and the crotch of his pants was pulled tight.
"Wha-what are you doing?" you squeaked as he stopped before you. You clutched the blanket with dear life- you still were completely bottomless.
"What does it look like I'm doing, little one?" He grasped the edge of the blanket and ripped it off your body.
You yelped in and attempted to grab it, but it was too late. He had already thrown it to the other side of the room and left you exposed. With a whimper, you crossed your legs to cover your exposed sex, but Steve tutted.
"Now, now, little one, you don't get to fingerfuck yourself in my house and then act innocent. Spread your legs; Daddy wants to see how naughty you've been."
You whimpered again and hesitated. When Steve noticed you weren't making any move to uncross your legs, he sighed.
 "If you don't do as Daddy says, he'll have to take you over his knee and spank that pretty little ass until it's nice and red. Do you want that, little one?"
You couldn't fight the wanton moan at the thought of him spanking you, and Steve chuckled.
"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" His voice was velvet and thick- it made your cunt ache.
You uncrossed your ankles and let your knees fall open. You watched Steve lift one of your ankles to his mouth and press a kiss to the inside of it.
"Such a good little kitten. Now let's see how bad you've been." Steve rested your ankle against his shoulder while the other stayed dangling off the side of the couch. he shifted so his face was closer to your cunt, and with his free hand, he slowly spread your slick folds.
You felt erotic spread before him. He could see everything, and his expression was hard to read.
"You're fucking soaked, little one. You're such a dirty little girl." You met Steve's eyes and watched as he lowered his head to your cunt. He pressed a gentle kiss to your mound before sitting back on his heels.
 One of the fingers he used to spread your lips slipped down to your entrance and slowly dipped inside. You gasped as the thick digit spread your walls, and you mewled when he curled it.
"Feel good, little one? Does Daddy's finger feel good in your pretty little cunt?" He slipped another inside and you cried out. "Answer me, kitten. How do my fingers feel in your tight pussy?"
"S-so good, Daddy!" you moaned as he slowly pumped them into your slick opening.
After a particularly loud moan, you remembered where you were, and who you were with. You gasped and tried to sit up, but Steve pressed a hand to your lower stomach and held you down.
"Steve, we can't-"
"No, no, kitten. You call me Daddy, okay? Now, try again like a good girl." He stood up, and braced himself over you with the hand he had used to hold you down on the back of the couch. His fingers quickened their pace to were they were practically pulsing inside you.
"Daddy, plea-please!" You knew what an orgasm felt like, and this feeling was similar but much more intense. You could feel a pressure building in your bladder.
"Please, what, little one? Tell me what you want. Ask like a good girl." His voice was pure sin, and his impossibly fast fingers sped up.
The pumping of his digits created the slick sound, and your cunt felt like it was on fire. The pressure was almost unbearable. "I wanna cum! Please, Daddy, let me cum!" You didn't even sound like yourself anymore; your voice was airy and thin to the point where your words were just moans.
Steve chuckled darkly. "Cum, little one. Be a good little girl and cum for Daddy." As if he had spoken your climax into existence, you came. Hard. Harder than you ever had before.
Your eyes fluttered shut as your orgasm crested, and the pressure released. Fluids soaked your shirt and Steve's hand, and you would have gasped in horror if you were crashing from your high.
When your climax faded, you opened your eyes to Steve sticking his fingers in his mouth and moaning at the taste of you. When he caught your eyes, he smirked and sat down on the couch beside you.
When Steve began pulling you to his lap, you tried to shove him away, but he grabbed your wrist and tugged you to his chest.
"Good girl, you're such a good girl, baby. You did so well." He cradled you in his arms and rocked you back and forth.
You gently pushed yourself from his embrace and looked at him with round eyes. "Steve..."
"Hush, kitten. Let me hold you." His fingers traced invisible lines under your shirt, causing you to shiver. He gently gripped the bottom of your shirt and tugged. "Up, little one."
You slowly stretched your shaky arms above your head and let Steve pull your top over your head. He tossed the clothing aside and grasped you by the forearms.
"You're so beautiful, little one." His eyes skimmed over your body before meeting your gaze. They burned with such intensity that you had to look away.
You shifted in his lap and accidentally brushed your knee against his crotch, and he hissed. For a split second, you'd thought you'd hurt him, but the look in his eyes told you otherwise.
"Steve..."
He shushed you by placing a small kiss on your lips. His lips were soft and tasted vaguely of mint and something else unknown. He cupped the back of your head and tugged your hair, deepening the kiss. His tongue brushed against your bottom lip, and you barely opened your mouth to let him in.
His tongue caressed yours, and you moaned. Steve echoed you, before parting himself from your lips. A shiny string of spit kept the two of you connected but broke when he leaned back.
"Here is what's going to happen, little one. I'm going to take you to my room, and I'm going to fuck you until your legs are numb. I'm going to fill your sweet little cunt up so you'll feel me for days. But, if you don't want that, you have to tell me. Once I start, I'm not going to stop until your belly is swollen with my cum." His eyes were intense, and you gulped. His hand snaked between your legs and thumbed your clit.
You whined at the overstimulation, and he chuckled and added more pressure.
"Answer me, kitten. Do you want me to stop?"
A part of you wanted to give in, let him fuck your brains out, but you hesitated. This wasn't entirely legal, and you were entirely comfortable with the idea of sleeping with him. You were still a virgin, and though you would say you were saving it for someone special, you weren't eager to have sex- especially with someone who was over two decades older than you.
"I... I don't..." Your cheeks flushed as you stumbled over your words, and Steve chuckled.
"You're thinking too much, little one. It's yes or no. Don't think, just feel." Steve's hand fell from your scalp to your cheek as he looked at you with such a tenderness that your heart melted.
Don't think.
Just feel.
Your eyes fluttered closed as you leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. In less than a second, Steve wrapped his arms around your waist and devoured your mouth with his.
Steve lifted you off of the couch, and you cupped his face in between your hands as he began to move towards the stairs. He stopped halfway to press your back against the wall. He gripped your ass with such strength you wouldn't doubt bruises being there tomorrow. His tongue slipped down your throat, and you timidly began to suckle on the warm muscle. He groaned and continued his ascent to his room.
You were too caught up in his kisses to notice him throwing his bedroom door open, for the next thing you knew was being tossed on his bed. You squeaked as you bounced, but watched Steve with half-lidded eyes and heated cheeks as he ripped off his shirt; his abdominal muscles shifted as he moved.
Steve undid the buckle of his belt and let his pants fall, leaving him in only his boxers as he crawled over you. His broad shoulders made you feel so small as they boxed you underneath him. He grabbed your wrists and pinned them above your head.
"I can't get over how beautiful you are, kitten. So fucking beautiful." Lust practically dripped off of his words. He pressed a quick kiss on your lips before he descended down your jaw and throat.
Your mewls of pleasure were soft but grew in volume the farther he went down your neck.
He stopped at the swell of your breasts, and you waited with bated breath for his next move. His teeth sunk into the tender flesh, and you cried out at the pain. Steve sucked harshly against the skin, groaning at the sounds you made.
He repeated the process three more times, each hickey just as large and dark as the first.
"You look even better with my mark on you," Steve growled as he pressed gentle kisses on your breasts. His tongue began to draw little circles over your right nipple before he closed his mouth over the pebble. His tongue lapped over your peak, suckling and nipping softly before switching to the other.
Your legs shook at the stimuli, and your cries began to grow louder. Steve let go of your nipple with a 'pop' and left open-mouthed kisses up to your lips.
"You need to be quiet, little girl. Don't want to wake up James, do we?"
At the mention of his son, you attempted to sit up, but Steve pushed you back down to the bed.
"No, no, baby. Daddy isn't done with you." He pressed a deep, sloppy kiss on your lips before he began to slide down your body. He let go of your wrists in favor of your knees. He pushed them to the sides and slid down in between the space. Your breath caught in your throat as his hands slid up your thighs and inched closer to your core.
"I'm dying to taste you, kitten. Will you let Daddy eat your pretty cunt?" Steve punctuated the request with a brush of his lips over your folds.
You nodded, but Steve just stared at you expectingly.
"Use your words, little one."
You gulped. "Please, Daddy."
He shook his head and started to back away from the center of your thighs. "Please, what? You're a smart little girl. Tell me what you want."
"Daddy, please..." Your voice shook as you watched him. His eyes lit up encouragingly, so you continued. "Please, taste me."
Steve inched back towards your pussy. His fingers slid up and parted your folds. "Taste you where, baby girl?"
You dropped your head down to the pillow and whimpered. "My cunt! Daddy, please, I can't-"
He cut you off by licking a long strip between your folds. You squealed when the tip of his tongue flicked your clit, and he wrapped his lips around it as he suckled. Two of his fingers plunged into you, stretching your walls. They curled into a rough patch over and over again.
Your hands tangled themselves in his hair and pulled him closer, and he groaned.
"You taste divine, little one. Absolutely delicious," Steve growled, the vibrations going straight to your bundle of nerves.
The pressure building was becoming overwhelming, and Steve could feel you clenching around his fingers.
"No-!" You gasped as Steve pulled his fingers out of you and sat up. He smirked as he licked your slick off of his fingers, all the while keeping eye contact with you.
"I want to feel you come with me inside you," he whispered and proceeded to shed his underwear.
Your eyes widened at the sheer size of his cock; you didn't even think you could fully wrap your fingers around him.
He smirked when he saw your expression. "Don't worry; it'll fit, kitten." He lowered himself back between your legs and wrapped them around his hips. Steve looked down between your bodies and positioned his tip at your entrance.
He pushed in, the head settling firmly inside you, and you gasped. You'd never felt this full, and you'd barely taken any of him.
Steve pushed even further, and he groaned. "Fuck, baby girl. You feel so fucking good." His head dropped down to your shoulder as he panted.
You whimpered with each inch that slipped inside, and your fingernails dug into the fleshy muscles of his shoulders.
Steve finally settled to the hilt, and your thighs quaked at the stretch. He shifted your legs from his hips and pulled them over his shoulders as he sat up.
"I want to see you, little one. Fuck, you're gorgeous." He sounded winded and breathless, and you mewled.
"Please, Daddy, fuck me!" you begged, and he chuckled.
"Anything for you, kitten." He slowly shifted his hips backward, but slammed them back down on yours a second later.
The sudden movement jostled you, and you cried when the tip of his cock brushed deeper and deeper with each thrust.
Steve dropped down to his elbows and pounded down into you. With your knees were pushed up against your chest, he reached even deeper than before.
"You're taking me so fucking deep, little one. I'm going to fill you up so fucking good," he panted as he brushed a strand of hair out of your face. The gentle kiss he placed on your lips was a sharp contrast of the brutal pace of his hips.
The pressure building in your core grew stronger and stronger, and your heart fluttered. Your moans turned into cries, and Steve went even harder.
"Don't you cum, baby girl. Don't you fucking cum without asking," Steve growled in your ear before he flipped you over.
You didn't have time to react before he slid his cock back into you. His pace was tenfold of what it was earlier.
Steve grabbed your neck and pulled you back to his chest. "Your little cunt is clenching around me, sweetheart. Are you going to cum?" His voice was mockingly sweet, and you nodded blindly.
"Daddy, please! I wanna cum!" If you were in your right mind, you would have scolded yourself for sounding so whiny, but you were so close to orgasm that you didn't- or couldn't- care.
"Oh, you'll get to cum, little girl." His free hand snaked down to your pussy, and he pinched and tugged at your clit.
Your hands latched on to his wrist, your body shaking at the stimulation. Your loins tingled and burned the higher your climax built.
"Cum, little one. Cum on Daddy's cock."
You cried out, and if it weren't for Steve holding you up, you would have fallen face-first in the bed. Your thighs quivered, your lungs squeezed, and your eyes threatened to roll back into your skull. You threw your head back against his shoulder, and as you were coming down from your high, you heard Steve growl before an unnatural heat filled your belly.
As Steve gently laid the two of you on the bed- him on his back, and you lying on his chest, you could feel a slickness pooling in between your thighs. He wrapped you up in his arms, and your ear rested over his heart. It was still fast, but with each deep breath he took, you could feel it begin to slow down.
The two of you sat in soft silence, and you looked up at him when he began stroking your hair.
His eyes were full of adoration, and you felt your heart clench. His hair was wild, and you assumed yours wasn't much better.
"What?" you asked quietly, your voice conveying your curiosity.
"Nothing, kitten. Just appreciating your beauty." Steve smiled and leaned down towards you. You shifted to meet his lips in a deep kiss, his tongue stroking yours slowly.
When he pulled away, your eyes slipped shut as you rested your head back over his heart.
"How was that for your first time?"
You snapped your eyes open at his words and your head popped up. You furrowed your brows, and he smiled.
"You're a dead giveaway, kitten. It doesn't take a genius to know that I just popped your cherry."
You couldn't help the giggle that bubbled in your throat. Steve looked at you with a sweet curiosity.
"What, baby?" Steve pressed another gentle kiss to your lips.
"It's just no one says that anymore." Your giggles grew louder, and his smile turned into a smirk.
"Is that so, little one?" He pressed another kiss to your mouth.
"You're not mad?" you asked quietly, and his eyes softened.
"Why would I be mad?" He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. "There's nothing wrong with being a virgin, little one. I was one, too, at one point."
You couldn't fight the laugh. "It's hard to imagine you being a virgin."
He looked puzzled. "How so?"
You shook your head and smirked. "Seriously? You look like a walking sex god, and as far as I'm concerned, you are."
Steve threw his head back in a hearty laugh. His chest vibrated under your hands, and you joined in.
Your cheeks burned from laughing so much, but you stopped when reality hit you.
What now?
Steve noticed that you'd grown quiet, and sighed. "What's wrong, baby?"
You slowly met his eyes, and you gulped. Your fingers toyed with the hair on his chest. "What happens now?"
He shrugged, and you huffed. You removed yourself from his arms and shifted to the end of the bed.
"What're you doing?"
You didn't even look back at him as you grabbed his shirt and pulled it over your head. "What does it look like?"
"It looks like you're upset. So, sit down and we can talk about it." You heard Steve shift, and a second later his arms snaked around your waist.
You leaned back into his chest and sighed. "It's just... what do we do know? Where do we go from here?" You twisted around in his arms to face him and grasped his face. "I'm really interested in you, Steve. I don't want this to be a one-time thing, but I also don't want to do this if you're just in it for my body."
Steve shook his head and gave you a sad smile. "I'm sorry that I gave you the impression I was using you, 'cause I'm interested in you, too. I know this isn't the most legal thing I've ever done, but I want to be with you, sweetheart." Steve pressed a kiss to your forehead and sighed. "As for now? Well, the metaphorical now is that we're going to see where this relationship goes. If you're okay with that, of course."
Steve gave you a cheeky smile, one that you returned with a blush.
"As for the actual now, I still have a promise to fulfill." A mischievous grin stretched over his face and you gulped.
"What promise?"
He hesitated, and his smirk grew. "To fuck you 'till your legs are numb."

Timetagger
This time around, in this newest episode we finally have TIMETAGGER (an episode I’ve been looking forward to for reasons)
My initial thoughts/theories for this episode was that this was an episode with future LB and CN potential. . . and well :)
LETS GET RIGHT INTO IT!
We start off with CONFIRMATION that the twins and Chris/Noel are indeed friends that hang out and play a lot. They’re The Three Musketeers you cant change my mind.
Tumblr media
Then there’s #MarinetteforRapGod2019 . I stan.
Slim Shady better watch out
Tumblr media
The fun gets cut short, of course, because of Mr. Pigeon, who keeps getting akumatized because he’s so attached to his pigeons. . . Pretty frequently it seems. Ladybug and Chat Noir can take out his akuma with their eyes closed. It’s nothing new. They even have an ice cream with him and have a one on one two? talk. Things were going so well and easily until. . . enter Timetagger.
This was “unforeseeable”.
Now let’s talk about this setup and why it matters (to me at least):
I know SW2 was meant to set up a halfway point to the show and demonstrate how things will change from then on. . . But I wanna talk about how this very episode executed what SW2 should have, and did a much better job in. In this episode we’re shown a villain from S1 who is now considered as “threat-less” when he once was a big threat. Even the people instead of getting to safety now stand close by as an audience. It’s far too easy now. Then suddenly enter a much more powerful villain from the future, and now they’re suddenly in for the big fight.
I just have to say that I thought that THIS was a good way to show that things will change (not a clipshow). You contrast a an old villain to a future one, which only seem to be getting more powerful overtime. Anyway that’s enough on that, moving on.
Tumblr media
After the duo evades Timetagger and recharges, they run into Alix, and then marks the tying of some lose ends we had since Timebreaker (love the theme she has going with time btw. It’s a nice touch.) We learn:
The Rabbit Miraculous grants Time Jump powers. (I’m shook, like I really like it!)
The mysterious family heirloom wasn’t a useless high tech watch for its time, but a Miraculous in camouflage.
Alix doesn’t just get to be a holder, she’s been a holder the entire time. Right under our noses!!!
Bunnix most likely gave it to an ancestor to be passed down for generations as back up.
Seeing as the Rabbit Miraculous powers deals with time, it was a smart backup to do in the event her Miraculous was ever damaged.
Bunnix probably got herself trapped in the stone when her miraculous got damaged, Timetagger sent her back, and upon reaching the past she got frozen in time under a stone.
Alix is too awesome and “Minibug” hasn’t noticed yet. FACTS.
CONFIRMED ML LORE: The Miraculous can be placed in a camouflage mode.
Tumblr media
Future Alix couldn’t give Chat Noir an answer on if they ever get together because to her they’re all over the place at all times. What I do gather from her answer, is that they’re so focused on hero work as heroes in the future that they most likely mastered keeping their civilian lives a separate secret.
On to facing Timetagger outside, Bunnix goes at it while using her powers for a lengthy time. Chat makes note of it only to be answered with “No, because she’s an adult.”
CONFIRMED ML LORE: Adult Holders don’t seem to require to recharge so soon after using their powers. Or maybe even don’t need to recharge?!?
(In other words it explains Hawkmoth being able to stay transformed.)
The fight continues but “Kitten Noir” gets impatient. He uses Cataclysm and almost destroys her miraculous a second time. Immature move, Kitty.
Lucky for us, Bunnix already saw it coming, and now we know how she got herself in the stone in the first place. Take this as a lesson, Kitty.
She managed to warp Timetagger back and things looked promising. . . Until her memory reminded her of a key point in time right before she “failed”. So Timetagger comes back and now our heroes are in an actual twist. . . Except Ladybug had an idea she knew would work in “the future”.
Tumblr media
The Future:
Ladybug makes a false story that she’s sending an apology message to the future for failing and sends Bunnix back with a message. . . To an older Ladybug and Chat Noir who were already expecting it.
A plan from the past.
Side commentary: Adult Chat Noir? Nah. That’s BEEFCAKE NOIR for sure. Our boy probably picked up some workouts for photo shoots given that he’s still probably a model (or at least a celebrity of some kind.) Either way, he looks well. Ladybug also physically looks well. What doesn’t is that same basic costume, but you know, as this episode has said “the future isn’t set in stone.” I’ll just look past it for now. (They probably did that to clearly imply that it very much IS them as adults, any slight difference could only lead to thoughts that it’s different people, apparently lol.)
Back to our present day, Hawkmoth is finally living in the moment that he’ll get his wish in the future, only to be bursted with:
“There’s a Hawkmoth in my future. . But it isn’t you.”
Tumblr media
(Mmmm, tea. Didn’t I say it would be interesting if Nathalie betrayed Gabriel and became the ultimate bad guy in the future to come on the last ML post I made? This cruelty tea is delicious btw.)
Hawkmoth is now the big sad to learn he won’t be in power for long.
Timetagger is close to getting the miraculous, but then the future duo steps in and helps out in disarming him. Victory once again from the past to the future.
Tumblr media
Then we learn that the akuma was Chris/Noel the entire time, and has picked up rapping?? (My personal headcanon is that: Nino grew up to become a profesional DJ/music producer and his little brother helps him by providing any lyrics or vocals. It’s a cute idea, okay?) Anyways Bunnix is returned to her time and Paris is saved once again.
Meanwhile we catch up on Gabriel “the big sad” Agreste commenting how he’s not in power in the future and that he’s a failure now if only he recognizes that as a father. But then Nathalie comforts him that it’s probably not a failure. . . But perhaps a sign of victory. . .
Tumblr media
(Nathalie, I’m on to you. I’m past “just thoughts” and am now full on theories with you)
Now on to concluding the episode, Mr. Remier is akumatized upset yet again and Marinette can’t babysit The Three Musketeers, instead Lila can.
Side note: If Lila wasn’t such a snake, she could actually be decent at story telling with kids and maybe even looking after them. Huh. Who knew.
Tumblr media
Ladybug and Chat Noir have some more encouragement time with poor pigeon man and recommend he finds a new animal to look after. Pigeons just aren’t cutting it for him. After leaving they go over the wild villains they’ll face. . . Like Mr. Rat?
Who is that?!? Such a crazy name.
Tumblr media
I wonder how that akuma’s origins even started. . .
Lol.
And that’s that.
Conclusion: This episode gave us Alix with a miraculous as well as explanation to her badass family heirloom, minor cameos of future Ladybug and Chat Noir, and overall some kind of progression. This is an episode I was looking forward to, and I’m glad it wasn’t handled as filler.
I give it a 9 out of 10 butterflies. Not bad.

Tbh, what I wouldn’t give for this reboot or softboot or shutthefuckupboot to end with just.....all the original and New Teen Titans from pre-Flashpoint continuity to just replace their current counterparts, be the ages they’d be if not for the constant reboots and with all previously created Titan kids present and accounted for (Lian, Robert, Cerdian, Ma’ri, Irey, Jai and Jake).
And like....just fucking roll with it. Don’t even try explaining it. Nobody knows. Nobody cares. Some Cosmic Meta Overseer or the Grand Vizier of Inter-Universal Post-Temporally Anomalous Hijkinks or whatthefuckever shows up and is like “your appearance here and now is strange and unnatural and defies all logical explanation...” and the Titans all just look at each other and shrug.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Stranger Danger,” Dick says. “We’ve been here the whole time.”
“I had a nightmare where Roy was always wearing this baseball cap that he never washed and everything was different. It was all quite troubling,” Garth contemplates. “But then I woke up and it was all just a dream. Except Roy was still there, but you can’t win them all.”
“Fuck you, Fish and Chips,” Roy says amiably.
“Blimey,” Garth says, dry as a shoreline at low tide in the middle of a drought. "Watch your bloody language in front of the wee ones.”
“Neptune’s beard,” Cerdian groans into his hands. “Why are our parents so embarrassing.”
“And what’s the big deal about using bad words around us? Its nothing we haven’t heard from like, supervillains trying to kidnap us,” Lian says. She’s bored and polishing a knife her mother must have given her as a gift slash way to piss Roy off - though at this point he errs on the side of just sighing and being glad its only lethally sharp, rather than the lethally sharp and poison-edged gifts from before his and Jade’s current ceasefire. “Or from all of you when you’re scaring the supervillains from trying that ever again.”
“They’re just worried about corrupting us at a young age,” Robert says. His mischief is only somewhat masked behind the baby-faced innocence he only has a couple years left to make the most of. “Nobody wants one of us to grow up to become an evil world-destroying supervillain. That would be terrible.”
Donna eyes her son and sighs. Then pivots a glare on the rest of her teammates. “When I figure out which one of you is responsible for teaching my ten year old to embrace nihilistic humor....”
“It wasn’t us,” Dick protests. “I warned you against letting Jason babysit.”
“You always blame your brother.”
“Well yeah, but that doesn’t make it not true. I mean, we love Jay, but there’s a reason Kori and I don’t let him babysit the kids.”
“Anymore,” Kori tacks on. A smirk edges up the corner of her lips. She tends to be more amused by that particular subject than Dick, but then again, she hadn’t been the one who had to explain smoking tree stumps scattered across the Wayne estate to Bruce.
Ma’ri frowns up at her father. “I thought you said that was because you wanted me to at least get to poo-berty before Uncle Jace teaches me more about how to blow things up bigger with my starbolts.”
“Daddy can have more than one reason, sweetheart.”
“Ahem.” The omnipotent and absolutely baffled guardian of time, space and cross-dimensional wankery cleared his throat. He would be peeved at being so blithely forgotten about and ignored, if not for the fact that he had never before experienced being ignored or being peeved as a result, so he lacked the vocabulary to explain his current mood. “If we could get back to the matter of your inexplicable presence in the here and now, and potential ramifications it might have on the intended trajectory of current space/time events.”
“That’s a lot of big words that don’t interest me.” Wally yawns and stretches. “I’ll leave the resident brainiacs to sort this all out. Someone call me if like. There’s a bank robbery. Or Godzilla attacks New York. We haven’t gotten to fight a nice old-fashioned giant monster in awhile, I feel like.”
Victor joins him in edging for the door. Technically speaking, given their particular powers and expertise, they were among the most suited for dealing with their unexpected visitor.
But of greater concern to them is the gleam they’d both noticed in Lilith’s eye while she sits back quietly taking stock of their guest. Her head rests against her hand and one finger is casually tap-tap-tapping against her temple in a rhythm that to two of her oldest friends, might as well have been the Morse code signal for “danger, danger Will Robinson, danger.”
After all, it was the kind of (memorable) image she tended to present right before she did (memorable) things like - oh, (quite memorably) pissing off the entire pantheon of Greek gods, just for the hell of it. And also, the drama. Can’t forget the drama.
They successfully pull the ripcords on their parachutes and eject out the doorway just as Grant Emerson sidles past them and joins the commotion.
“Hey, does this have anything to do with why there’s apparently some guy running around in a mask and acting like a giant asshole while telling everyone he’s me?” Grant asks as he wanders over next to Roy. “I’m thinking I should sue, actually. On account of ‘emotional damages.’ Get it? Heh.”
Roy rolls his eyes and looks over at Dick. “Speaking of never being left alone with someone’s kids again....”
Dick hums and gives a little half-shrug of acknowledgment. “Yeah, I get that.”
