I realized I never uploaded these here (at least I don’t think I did)

But they’re concepts for my OC story Opal Reapers as a RPG pixel game! I drew these a few months ago

The idea is that you play as Omen Eklipse a deer whose been on the search for their family only to find out they’ve been corrupted by an eldritch force. And must bring them back to normal while also stopping the land from caving in on itself

A few things changed since I made these:

Omen is a necromancer instead of a bard

The genre will be eldritch horror because I find it fascinating

The move typing for combat is based on the symbolism for the prime materia alchemy symbols. Mind, soul, and body. Mind being stronger against body (brains over brawn) soul stronger against mind (emotions overpowering logic) body stronger against soul (reality over fantasy)

Omen is mind type, Drakken is soul type, and Amber is body type

Omens family are more like grim reapers then previous versions of them being shepherds of souls

My current version of the main 3 characters all have a moon, star, or sun motif to their design because I love space

Horizon's Gate has cemented its place as my comfort game.

It has PLAYABLE catfolk, lizard people, sharks! Some various other lovely furry races (+more in workshop) Crubs (Not to be mistaken for crabs. There are several crustacean races) and automatons (made playable by mods)

No genders, just a big Ole final fantasy tactics style job system with flat numbered progression where you buy individual health, mana, or proficiencies on top of a dizzying amount of skills.

It's an open world tho, with factions owning ports you can ferry supplies between, take on guild quests, and afford bigger + better ships (which can sink)

Spoilers for what I am currently up to under the break.

I am currently assisting a lovely modded companion lizard lady named Livia hunt down mages who all make really strong introductions.

The wind mage stands on a bridge backed by bats, with intent to knock you off of it.

The fire mage jumps out of a field of grass and starts a wild fire on the battlefield that spreads between turns.

I've encountered a cave full of high HP undead that I used wind magic to shove into some water to drown.

And I am currently working my way up through a tower via a rung ladder where I had to find 10 rungs hidden throughout the map in order to discover an alternate entrance filled with clothes that protect from various elements. (Great for fighting as many mages as I am)

This mod is called Mage Hunter and is absolutely lovely for showing off all the magic that alters the environment.

I am also playing with a party of 6. Because I prefer tactics games that let me field up to 10 people. (One of the most recent mods allows up to 20, if you're into that kinda thing)

I'm really proud of how this looks! I have scenes planned for both day and night (+ lights on or off), so I decided to use this "light switch" to demonstrate the differences!

Also I just found out my video settings weren't set to "best" quality, so the videos should look better from now on. (And yes, the date is right, I just repeatedly forgot to post this sooner haha.)

Finished the "photos" I was working on near Halloween.

Filled in some parts of the story script.

Designed a train! Might show it off later on~

pls help me find my childhood video game

can you help me identify this video game: when i was younger (maybe when i was between 7 and 9) in nintendo ds. i get to choose one character and in the middle of the map, there is one big dome-shaped tower (or probably not dome-shaped i might just be remembering wrong but i'm pretty sure the tower is the main battle place in the center) where there is a battle gameplay of my character having to fight different enemies (particularly dragons) and each stage of the tower i cleared i get higher and the enemies get stronger. when you're not fighting in the tower, you can go around in the map because there's a lo to do such as talking to npcs, fishing (maybe), and many more. i remember the game was really about dragons. i also want to add that the gameplay is only in one point of view: bird's eye or top view. dragon eggs were also mentioned and a story cutscene will unveil first the moment you start the game. the lower middle map encompasses of a sea and a port. the boy (your character) is also wearing a blue outfit and a sword. the game was also really old, released before 2014. To summarize: Genre: RPG, Battle, Combat Appearance: Top-view only, pixel RPG Date: I'm assuming it was released way back before 2014 Main character: Boy, black hair and wields a sword (maybe changing) Plot: You have to fight dragons and other monsters in a dome-shaped central tower and level up once you clear each level. Cutscene opens in the beginning Map: only one map, the bottom part is a port Console: Nintendo DS and 3DS More: you can interact with NPCs outside the tower if you're not doing the tower clearing
