In a 2017 post over at truthseekerastrology.com, I wrote about the American fascination with Mercury retrograde. I alluded to our deep seated anxieties about "technology taking over our lives" and unfounded fears of being disconnected from our families and friends as a result of unforeseen disruptions to our daily routines. 💫 It's been more than 3 years since I wrote that post. Today, we find our entire lives having been turned upside down by a global pandemic, but ironically, technology has had a huge role to play in keeping us healthy, connected and plugged in. It has also leveled the playing field in terms of who gets to create content and thus, control the media narrative (and in some cases, make a good living!!). On the downside, we've seen how technology can be used for nefarious purposes, i.e., stirring up hate and inciting violence. 💫 I conclude by writing, "And right or wrong, Americans are deeply and emotionally attached to our version of history. The attachment is not just to the story but to how it was written, why it was written, and who wrote it. The story is a narrative about who we are as Americans, our place in the world, who stands to benefit and who doesn’t. 💫 "In short, I believe that the mass freakout on the part of Americans regarding Mercury retrograde is less about our smart phones working properly, and whether or not we check and double check legal documents, and more about the slow unraveling of the American story as it was originally written, who gets to rewrite and revise it, and why. Friday, March 10th 2023 Sun in Pisces ♓️🌊 Moon in Libra ♎️💨 and Scorpio ♏️🌊 It’s a good day to go for it and shoot your shot. The Libra moon opposes Venus in Aries and trine Mars in Gemini. At the same time Venus and Mars form a sextile. This is a really cute and fun energy with lots of confidence and is highly social.
