fucking astounds me whenever people say that mspec gays/lesbians are somehow offensive to gays and lesbians like,,, lesbian here; stfu someone else’s complicated experience of sexuality is not offensive

Believing that sexuality must fit into these boxes and that we’re not allowed to combine concepts for further understanding is TERF shit.

lesbian should not be treated like it’s some sort of holy word that must always be held to an exact definition or else it is sacrilege or some shit, it can and should be used as an umbrella term because once again, being super policey and weird about this stuff is TERF SHIT.

i love mspec gays, lesbians, lesboys, turigirls, other mspecs and in general people with complex or otherwise "contradictory" identities.

use what labels you feel work best to help describe you, identity's hardly ever a simple thing, if no one else understands thats fine, just find what youre comfortable with and dont let anyone dictate it for you

regardless of what your gender and sexual/romantic orientation is everyone deserves to feel comfort in their identity.

Every time I see boy love I kinda recoil cus maybe is just my fyp but I've never seen someone who's actually mlm/nblm say it

What I see is always girls who only read mlm content and go on about how one character (usually the shorter one that they then decide to draw as a hyperfem twink with no body weight even if the actual character is plus sized) is "such a bottom"

And it drives me up the wal

It reminds me of the 2010s when the same type of girls called it yaoi and went on about how dirty and wrong their gay couple is like.... girl.........

Idk it seems like a repeat as someone whos been on tumblr since 2015

I'm rewatching my fave ds9s and I'm at rejoined and this is gonna be a senseless ramble but OH. MY. there are woman. Kissing???!!? I forgot how much I loved this episode dude. Even putting aside the meta of how this has the first same sex kiss in star trek and the even further queer/trans coding of the episode, this is such a tragic story. And it's a real one. You dont need to be an alien to be forced away from your saphic lover cause of a social taboo.
