Welcome to the (mostly) red house of Bangor, Pennsylvania. I like red, but not like this. Looks nice from the outside, but if you don’t want the red decor, it will have to be completely redone.
Look at the dramatic entry.
Even though it’s red, it reminds me of a funeral home.
Actually, the carpet looks like it’s in good shape. Maybe it would have to stay.
What did we learn from the color chart? Doing the floor and rear wall the same color elongates a room. Here it is and it does look long, even with the white curtain.
Why in the world did they carpet the entire kitchen?
And, the bathroom, too.
I feel dizzy and can’t find the door.
This is like a mirror maze.
This sun room isn’t bad.
Wait. It switched to blue.
The matching en suite.
This must’ve been a bedroom, but now a lone doll sits in a chair.
The doll’s lonely en suite.
Two more dolls sitting in an empty bedroom.
There’s a nice large covered patio. It’s a pending sale, someone is buying it for $489k. Well, it’s a lot of house.

Image gallery: Redness!
The author of the book A Perfect Red identifies it as “the color of desire” and “the color of blood and fire.” She also notes that the color has often been associated with masculinity because it signifies power, prestige, and “heat and vitality.”
So it makes perfect sense that at one time it was popular as steak house decor. [above, Presto, Chicago, ca. 1970]
But it took a while to catch on. In…
