Y'all!! I am SOO sorry for disappearing off the face of the world for so long!! I had a lot of tests and quizzes that came up due to semester 1 finally being over. Plus I had a lot of hw as well! So I was so busy and couldn't find the time to sit down and watch ep8. But ALAS!!! HERE IT IS!!!!

◇Masky/Tim Wright as a father figure to emo/scene teenagers◇

-He never thought of himself as the fatherly type considering all his addictions and his past with the Operator, but he found out that he WANTED to try his best to be a role model after meeting these kids.

-Actively doesn't abuse any substances around the kids as he doesn't wanna normalize it for them.

-He is so supportive. (Even if he can be a little aloof sometimes)

-Tim listens to some emo bands (I think he'd like Good Charlotte and Three Days Grace most) but overall never got super into the style side of the subculture.

-So he's completely facinated when the kids show up with racoon tail hair and gel spikes, hed seen kids back when he was a teenager with the style and is a little amazed kids are still dressing like that.

-If any other kids were bullying his kids he'd scare them, Tim's an intimidating man normally so him appearing behind them or yelling usually does the trick.

-Now if any adults decided to be dicks.....

-He wants to be a good influence and despises what the Operator made him do in the past so nothing TOO bad would happen but they'll certainly get a bit "roughed up".

-Gets the kids old 2000s magazines to go through so they can learn more about what the subculture was like at its peak.

-Tim would absolutely dig up all his old CDs for ANYTHING relevant and play them on car rides. He struggles sometimes when the nightmares or intrusive thoughts hit hard so sometimes a car ride with loud music and singibg teens is just what he needs.

-Road trips and stops by Gas station fast food places are a VERY common occurrence.

-Asks them to do his eyeliner (It becomes a regular occurrence since it hides his bags a bit and he pulls it off VERY well)

-Cannot dye hair, will offer to help if the kids are struggling but its a bad idea.

-Constantly reminds the kids to wear heat protectant when straightening their hair, will even buy them wigs if their hair is getting too damaged.

- "You can't dye your hair green if you have no hair left kid"

-Fucking despises shopping because of the crowds. He's been wearing the same old jackets for forever because "They work".

-Despite this he'll still try and come along for the kids, maybe stand a little suspiciously in a corner of the shop until they're all done.

-Takes the kids out to all the concerts in the area (mostly sneaks them in ngl hes not a bad influence but hes not the best one either)

-Likes how colorful scene clothing can be but does not get all the memes and subculture norms, dude doesn't have a social media.

-"What is XD and :3?"

-Asked if Invader Zim was a rat as a joke, this was followed up with all the kids and Tim binging all the episodes with the kids (he ended up enjoying it).

-The more time he spends with them, unknowingly he starts to see them as his own :)

Yes I stayed up late reading Insects and Pyre until I fell asleep with my phone on my face and woke up early to finish the fic. And OMG IT'S SO GOOD. It's interesting to read Dabi wanting to do what's right even when he wants something else so strongly, knowing that he would canonically choose to take his revenge and do whatever he needed to do to get there. I had to remind myself a few times that he's not a villain in this story lol. I also noticed how you said sutures instead of staples in this fic, probably because he wasn’t on the run and had access to proper medical attention instead of having to staple his seams together himself or go to an underground doctor for it.

I already LOVE the idea of Moth! Tomura before reading the fic, but him as a god as well? OBSESSED. It's sad how he's been locked away on his own land for centuries by people who stole what belonged to him. Ngl I wouldn't have minded if he did end up killing everybody in his forest (except Dabi ofc) and took back what was his. And the fact that he gave up after so long was so sad :(. Poor baby just wanted his land back but instead settled for making his cave as similar to what he used to have as possible.

Tomu had been alone for most of 300 years and fell in love with Dabi in just a week. And Dabi, isolated even when he was in his village and who had never loved anyone romantically, absolutely fell in love with the god who treated him better than anyone had in a decade.

Even though Tomura stopped Dabi from feeding the runestone and trapping him for another year, still let him choose whether he wanted to sacrifice himself and save his village or not. Since he had been watching Dabi since the start, I think he understood him enough to know what he truly wanted, and that it wasn’t to die for the people who had treated him unkindly all his life, especially Endeavor. He wanted to save Dabi just as much as he wanted to free himself and was willing to hold back his revenge just so that Dabi could escape with Rei and Fuyumi. The way he was so desperate for him not to sacrifice himself was so bittersweet and I think I died a little when Dabi kept asking him to stop because he knew that he couldn't do it himself.

Istg I wanted to kill Endeavor when he stabbed Dabi when he tried to burn the plant. I mean I kind of expected it (since nothing ever goes my poor baby's way), but I was still pissed and was so glad that he got to kill his father in the end. But him burning his arm off probably wasn't the best thing to ever happen to him, though.

The way Tomu was so scared of losing Dabi is honestly heartbreaking. Poor baby has been alone for so long and has had all his land stolen from him and was terrified of losing the one he loved too. It wasn’t a huge surprise when he made Dabi immortal. Him giving up his vengeance showed just how much he cared about Dabi. He chose to save him even if it meant forgiving the ones who kept him trapped for centuries. Dabi was definitely in love with him after that. He has never had anyone love and care about him so much in so long that getting so much of it after a decade probably had him hooked immediately.

Why did Dabi grow wings after becoming immortal though? I figured that it was because it was Tomura who gave him immortality but it wasn’t said that he had the fur around his neck or the antennas. I’m also curious how you would picture Tomu’s actual God form? It’s mentioned that gods take on and mimic forms of animals, but I wonder what his godly one would be like, and also Dabi’s?

Anyway, this is such a precious fic and it’s totally going into my bookmarks folder. I’m definitely going to cherish it and read it again soon. My fav scene is obv when Tomu stopped Dabi from touching the stone. The Firefly’s tears broke my heart and the scene’s just so emotional but adorable all at the same time. Another masterpiece!! <3

As for Dabi's final appearance, the wings are an aspect of godhood. All gods in this world have wings in some form or another to show their divinity. Dabi's took on the appearance of a firefly's (hence the lack of moth ruff) because that's the form Tomura was thinking of when he bestowed him with his aspect. However, Dabi's body and his magic were still tied more used to being mortal, since that's the form he's held all his life, and that just tried to restore him as much as it could to the way he was before. He managed to fix his missing arm in his sleep, and over the years if he wants to he will be able to grow back his skin and take away his scars as well as change the appearance of his wings, but he probably won't much, his lover is already accepting of his appearance, that's gonna help him accept it a lot more too

What do you think would happen if Desmond was sent into the show Maria Clara and Ibarra? Just curious

Is… is Maria Clara at Ibarra even available in other countries? I know it isn't available in Netflix Canada :( so it might just be Netflix Philippines exclusive. The episodes are available in youtube though but without English subtitles.

The main plot is Klay (full name Maria Clara), a nursing (working) student with an abusive stepfather, a kind but doormat mother and an uncaring ‘money solves everything’ biological father, gets into an argument about how important Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere would be to her course and her future. Her professor decided that consent is over-rated and Truck-kun’ed her to be isekai’ed into the novel using some kind of magic book version of Noli Me Tangere where she only knows the first three chapters of the book so she’s not a typical OP isekai protagonist.

The Noli storyline gets screwed up by her…… sorta for the better? Sorta… it’s… um… not fully a happy ending but it’s a more bittersweet ending than what the original novels (Noli and El Fili) got, that’s for sure.

It’s quite entertaining and does show the past and current struggles of the Filipinos and the Philippines as well as be entertaining to those who like isekai storylines and… those who sorta kinda remember the required readings of Noli (and El Fili). Also, the set design is sooooo good. They really went out of their way to make every scene feel like they're around 18th-19th Spanish ruled Philippines.

NGL, the Spanish sprinkled here and there reminded me of Assassin's Creed and I can just feel myself going 'where's the subtitles, fucking give me subtitles, Animus! My Spanish is worse than my Pilipino!'

Annnyyywwaaayy.

So for this crossover, Desmond wakes up in some unknown place after using the device to save the world. In this scenario, I think Desmond won’t realize he’s in a novel. Why would he? The only way for him to have read Noli was if he was into like foreign books and such or maybe someone from the Farm was of Filipino descent or maybe even his mother? His mother is a blank slate at this point so she can be whatever we want her to be.

But I think it would be fun if Desmond doesn’t know the novel at all.

So when he meets up with Klay after he got his own ‘backstory’ dealt with (Italian noble vacationing in the Philippines and let us all thank Ezio for knowing Spanish), he only realized Klay is stuck in the ‘past’ as well when she starts saying words that he recognized but know shouldn’t be available at the moment.

For their meeting, it would be fun if he becomes buddy-buddy with Ibarra’s aristocrat friends and be in the same table as Fidel when Ibarra was treating Klay to food. Desmond would be curious about Klay’s lack of ‘manners’ (while he’s doing well because Ezio’s Bleed is saving his ass) but he tries not to say anything because he’s playing a role but he’d been slowly making his own information gathering ‘guild’ on the side because he’s trying to find a way to find Ratonhnhaké:ton’s descendants in the US, that’s his main objective right now, so he had heard of the ‘meztiza de sangle’ that one of the most prominent convents had been looking for so he can put two and two together. It’s only when Klay starts speaking English and telling Ibarra and Fidel off that Desmond realized that there’s something more to Klay than some ‘meztiza de sangle’ as people call her.

So, in this scenario, Klay gets interrupted from her Ibarra stalking because Desmond talked to her in English and asked what university she’s from.

The fact that she’s a woman that’s studying in a university is a big red flag and Desmond says enough words for Klay to realize that he’s not from this time as well.

With English being their main form of communication, Desmond found out that he’s not in the past, he’s stuck in a novel. Klay doesn’t know any Desmond Miles or any Solar Flare but if we consider the following information we do know of Klay: she’s about to graduate in the year 2022 and nursing degrees usually take four years or so she’ll be 21~22 when she graduates. This means she was born in 1999~2000 and would have been 11~12 years old during that time. This would probably make Klay think that she didn’t hear about it because she wasn’t interested in news at that time yet.

So they decide to join forces to try and get out the novel:

This does lead to Klay pushing Desmond to becoming Ibarra’s friend instead and Ibarra is a bit wary of Desmond Sartor (it wasn’t like he could use Auditore as his last name, that would be pointing a huge red arrow at his back for any Templars… did this novel even have Templars???) but Ibarra warms up to him because he can see Desmond is kind to Klay (and maybe let’s her get away with a lot of things but what a master does or does not do to their servant (which is their backstory) is none of his concern)

Desmond doesn’t talk about Abstergo because he doesn’t really liked talking about his past. If he had… he would have learned how Klay has no idea what Abstergo is.

Fidel and Klay still have their own thing. Desmond isn’t touching whatever is happening there with a ten foot pool. Nope. His Eagle Senses are telling him that it would just give him a headache if his appearance causes any misunderstanding.

Let’s be honest, Desmond would take one look of Elias and his people and be like “I can train them” and the whole Elias and revolution subplot would take a very different Assassin Brotherhood-esque turn, that’s for sure.

Desmond’s inclusion to the story does change more than Klay did because of his skills as an Assassin, the knowledge he gained from his Bleeds and his questionable status as an Italian noble.

Sisa gets a happy ending. Fuck it. Give Sisa a happy ending!

Sooooo… you know how Padre Damaso and Padre Salvi got ‘better’ endings in the series? Well, Desmond would make sure they have the best ending in this one. XD

Once Klay returns to the real world after the end of the Noli part, she tries to look for Desmond, thinking he’s returned with her but got transferred to the US or somewhere. When she google-search Desmond’s name, she learns of Desmond Miles from the videogame Assassin’s Creed.

Klay researches about Assassin’s Creed because, what the fuck, and she realized that Desmond is a videogame character that got isekai’ed to the book. So when it was time for her to fuck up El Fili’s plot, she hoped Desmond was also there so she can… uuuhhh… talk to him about his actual real situation? Klay didn’t really think that far ahead, okay, she’s trying to save everyone at this point, damn it.

The Brotherhood in the Philippines is now under Elias and they’re planning something big and Klay meets Desmond a few weeks (months?) later since she first came to the El Fili book because he had been in America looking for Ratonhnhaké:ton’s descendants.

Desmond learns of his ‘real identity’ after Klay tells him plot points Desmond and his team should only know about. But then things… get even weirder.

Because there is a Brotherhood in America. He's met with Ratonhnhaké:ton’s freaking descendants, for fuck's sake. Hell, there’s a Brotherhood in Spain and they're helping out Elias and the others so Desmond is pretty sure that this is his world and not a novel which doesn’t make sense.

For now, they try to focus on helping the ‘characters’ of El Fili get their happy ending.

Then Sir Torres finally appears towards the end and Desmond recognized him immediately. It’s Tinia of the Capitoline Triad.

To be more exact, Sir Torres is Tinia who managed to successful evade the Solar Flare of Desmond’s world by being transported into another world: Klay’s world. Sir Torres’ Noli and El Fili books are actually his experiments in recreating Isu tech in a world where the Isu never existed in the first place. It is based on Jose Rizal’s books but, to recreate it, Sir Torres accidentally created a pocket world of some kind and Desmond was transferred to it for some unknown reason (Tinia’s guess is that Minerva had done it as a last ditch effort to save him and it had randomly plopped him into Tinia’s experimental pocket world).

Desmond’s inclusion to the world where he starts to ask questions about things that were never included in the books destabilized the world so much that it latched into a singularity point that held information that would stabilize it: Desmond himself.

So America? The Brotherhood? The sudden Templar presence in El Fili that had been absent in Noli? That’s the world latching onto Desmond’s genetic memories, developing the world and the characters in it.

In other words, Desmond’s inclusion to the world of Noli and El Fili?

It caused what is called a ‘Crossover Event’ (and Klay would be on the side thinking ‘like a fanfiction???’) and Desmond is the singularity point where everything is centered around (Klay going ‘like he’s the main character???’)

Annnnddd… I have no idea how to end this.

Choices for the Ending:

El Fili ends on a happy-ish note with Klay and Fidel going to Klay’s original world with Desmond going with them. This would have the ‘hopeful’ ending of Desmond and Sir Torres joining forces to find a way back to their actual real world using Desmond’s ‘favored child of the Calculations’ title.

El Fili ends on a happy-ish note with Klay and Fidel going to Klay’s original world and Desmond stays behind because, as Sir Torres explains it, the novel world of Noli/El Fili had become an almost exact replica of Desmond’s world which means that Desmond could make a difference this time, prepare for the inevitable Solar Flare of 2012 and take care of Juno. As Klay stressed, the people of this world are real to them even if they were born from the pages of a book so… Desmond wants to save them if he could. Also, this pocket world would have POEs if it’s a replica of his world and that might help him contact his old world… Sir Torres is doubtful on that part.

El Fili ends in a happy-ish notes and Desmond follows Klay and Fidel to Klay’s world BUT ends up getting isekai’ed to a different world by himself because that's how we show our love XD

It's very funny to see my dash filled with QSMP stuff yet not being into it myself. I think now I understand how all those people felt when they were exposed to DSMP content/discourse, because the stuff I see now sounds absolutely insane sometimes (I dropped off after Juanaflippa died and haven't been up to date ever since).

Anyway, the Halloween story! I really liked what you did with leading us to believe that Wilbur was the guilty one (the conversation in the bar really sold that idea) and then slowly letting us realise that maybe things aren't the way we think they are. Small towns hold so many secrets..

Burning down the corn somehow felt like the last punch they could pull and in a way it was very poetic. A nice sense of closure.

I also wonder what was Phil's reaction when the boys told him the story. Could you tell us more about it? (or redirect me to a post if this was already answered)

I don't blame you for dropping off after juanaflippa died I definitely considered dipping but then the wilbur soot tallulah week happened and I was revitalized and became extremely invested in that beanie wearing egg with hair. then I got highkey attached to everyone else and now I rotate q!phil in my mind constantly he's soooooo :)

(general reminder to my followers: if something I post a lot of and don't tag is annoying you feel free to ask me to tag it so you can block the posts! I stopped tagging my qsmp posts a while ago but I can go back to doing that or create a new tag for them if you don't wanna see them)

anyway moving on

aw thank you I'm so glad you enjoyed!! I had a lot of fun playing around with the misdirection in the foreshadowing. that conversation in the bar was especially fun to write because quackity holds the same assumption as the readers: that wilbur killed their father. wilbur knows this is what quackity thinks and doesn't do a whole lot to dissuade that notion, thus further cementing the idea to the readers as well. it was a lot of fun wordplay for me

ngl I've just always wanted to write a midwestern gothic type thing that ended with a cornfield burning down the mental image is just too cool. also like you pointed out I thought it gave the story a nice sense of closure :)

okay so this ask doesn't get too long (and so people can keep things vague if they want) i'll put the 'what happens when phil finds out' bit under the cut

so I wanted to leave things with phil vague so the readers could make their own interpretations, but I'd like to think that phil actually suspected that wilbur and tommy had something to do with their father's disappearance from the start. he never put too much stock into it though because he always thought they would've told him if they did actually have a hand in it. so instead he just kind of purposefully turned a blind eye to all the signs and imagined their father probably went and pissed the wrong person off at the wrong time while drunk and got a bullet between the eyes as a result. it wasn't exactly wrong.

anyway, finding out that his original gut feeling was right and they were the ones to kill him hurts phil a lot. not because his brothers murdered their father, but because they didn't tell him about it for ten years. when more details get revealed and he learns that tommy was the one to shoot him and not wilbur, he understands a little more why wilbur was so reluctant to tell him but still, the hurt is there. at the very least, he understands why wilbur left now, and that's been an open wound for him for years at this point. so that bit of closure, combined with knowing for sure that their father is never coming back, makes up for the pain of knowing how long his little brothers lied to him.

basically the conversation ends with phil reassuring tommy a lot while scolding wilbur for leaving for eight years instead of telling him the truth. hours later though, probably once the sun has risen and tommy has passed out in his room, phil sees wilbur sitting at the dining table staring blankly into his coffee mug. he thinks about what wilbur told him before about how he learned to run away from him, and that phil wasn't there when they needed him. he thinks about the guilt in wilbur's eyes when he told phil that tommy had to shoot their dad because he just couldn't pull the trigger himself.

and phil goes and hugs his younger brother, and tells him that it wasn't his fault. that he did the best he could. that it's okay that he couldn't pull the trigger. and wilbur hugs him back, feeling like a little kid again wrapped up in his big brother's arms.

it's not okay yet. it might not ever be fully okay. but they're dealing with it. as a family this time.

upon reading ur posts ev was right babel WILL kick the diaspora feelings into full force. rip but also yk.... kind of interesting to think abt if u don't mind me spilling into your askbox quil!!! it is weird for me bc i know like even though i am diaspora i am also DIFFERENT from most of the diaspora ik because my parents also grew up here and are very american while also being very cambodian/chinese and honestly i should ask my mom about it, hmm... i'm not sure if my dad thinks about it often but i remember him telling me that the only reason he survived the khmer rouge was that his yeay (grandmother!) taught him khmer because he originally only knew mandarin and it's always been something i've thought about? going from mandarin being the first language to khmer to then english. and my mom knowing like. um fuckin four languages? khmer and mandarin and cantonese and chao zhou? GOATed for real haha, i want to learn that many languages someday.

I don't mind at all! Different ethnic background, but I think I can understand in part; even as american as I am Babel kinda tore me into shreds and forced me to look at several things I generally avoid looking at because they're painful and I can't do anything about it. Like the loss of language. And separation, being foreign in a land that in a different life could've been home. Being unfamiliar with your own history and ancestry.

This is not to say I have at all suffered to the extent of the characters, as I do belong in american society. There are struggles within that (like being queer) but at the end of the day I'm acknowledged as having a place here, and a privileged one at that. There are just certain aspects that remind me of my and my father's lives.

But it's lovely that your parents have retained their culture to an extent, I hope you also get that exposure and knowledge passed on to you. I have to admit I don't know enough about the khmer rouge to truly understand the meaning and extent of what you're saying in regards to your father, but the progression of languages is something I can understand thinking about. Slightly related, I think about my dad's native language being Spanish but him losing it when his parents separated and therefore being unable to share that with my sister and I all the time.

I'd also love to be someone who knows a lot of languages someday--I've made some progress, but I'll have to dedicate myself a lot more. And ngl reading Babel is inspiring me to, like GOD I want to know languages like that--because even though I'm only fluent in one of the 4 languages I've studied, knowing multiple undeniably helped understand some of what the book said. Because like, I get what they mean about the understanding of each language and what you lose in translation. Beyond comprehending the words I can recognize that feeling when I'm using other languages and how it inhabits this other space of understanding.

Anyway, should you read it I hope you enjoy the book, and I'm kinda losing my train of thought because there's so much to think about in regards to topics like these, so I'm sure I've skipped and missed things unintentionally, but I do love talking about it, its very cathartic <3

When he and his pregnant s/o, went to the hospital for feral ultrasound. And the obstetricians revealed there’s 3 heartbeats. Which mean, they are having triplets. I wanna know their reactions so bad 😂 When I think of triplets, I'm thinking those character who most probably have strong genes. (Bokuto, Osamu, Atsumu and maybe, Ushijima?)

Hearing that you're going to have triplets

Bokuto Koutaro

Honestly you were so thankful that you had Bokuto with you, he was the most amazing partner you could ask for. Always supportive and kind, never failing to make you feel deeply appreciated and loved.

Especially since he found out you were pregnant. The man was over the moon! You hadn't even finished the sentence he already had you in his arms spinning you around while proclaiming how happy he was. You felt silly that you were even worried about his reaction. You had never seen him more happy.

You just knew he would be the most amazing father.

He was always with you and helped you with whatever he could, say goodbye to even holding stuff. Cleaning and sometimes even cooking were immediately off your shoulders. And whenever you tried to tell him that you were more than capable of doing stuff he immediately shushed you saying that he was more than happy to help.

He didn't know much about pregnancy, tho he read everything with you and listened to you whenever you explained things to him, he just wanted to support you.

I see that he would also change his diet for you. It's important for pregnant women to have a healthy lifestyle during pregnancy. So when he saw that you tried to cut off junk food and other unhealthy food he immediately gave up on them too. If you stopped drinking coffee he would stop to, everything to support you.

When you told him that you had to go to ultrasound to make sure everything was right he immediately called and took a day off. You were so thankful for it, you told him that you could go alone but honestly you were terrified, this was your first pregnancy. You read almost everything and asked so many questions too and did everything you were told, but you were still beyond terrified on what the doctor would say, so having him around was really a big deal.

Especially when you noticed slight furrow on doctor's face. Your grip immediately tightened around his hand. Your mind immediately went to most terrible stuff in seconds, it didn't even cross your mind that you might be having triplets. You wanted to ask what was happening, but you didn't have courage, thankfully Bokuto got the clue and asked what was going on." I had to make sure, congratulations, you will be having triplets, I can hear three completely healthy heartbeats." The doctor beamed at you." Three heartbeats... Triplets..., oh my god Kou we're having triplets!" you couldn't believe your ears, heck you didn't even know what you were even feeling. You were thrilled yes but at the same time... Being mother of one kid seemed already hard, but triplets? Would you do a good job? What about Kou? Was he happy with the news?

You returned to reality after you felt two strong arms wrap around you tightly. Bokuto was beaming like crazy." Oh my god Y/N! We're having triplets!" He cheered loudly, startling both you and the doctor. "That's so amazing! We would have like half of a volleyball team! That's so cool! I never even thought we could have triplets, thank you so much, you really make me happiest!" He kept rambling on and on, pressing millions of kisses on top of your head. You never even realized when you started crying… "You're happy?" You asked quietly, almost a whisper."I'm beyond thrilled baby, this is going to be awesome! Don't worry about anything, we're going to do great you hear me!" He immediately assured you and planted another kiss on your head making you giggle as well. He was right as long you had each other you were not afraid of anything. You would do amazing!

Osamu Miya

I feel like he would be the most amazing husband. Really doting and caring.

Would also really try to help you with everything he could. Both around the house and with whatever you needed. Just imagine being able to taste Samu's cooking every day. (And I just know he would try and come up with new recipes just so he would keep things interesting for you, like you hate some food, and it's hella healthy and is good for pregnancy, you bet your butt he would try and come up with a recipe, so you could eat it that way and not gag. Alsosatisfying your cravings with his cooking would be like a challenge for him, he would be excited to try out new things.)

I think that after you told him the news that you were pregnant he knew that he had to change things. Like he already felt bad when he worked all this long days at his restaurant leading to sometimes neglecting you. He was thinking to hire an assistant, but was reluctant because he didn't think they would do as good of a job as him. But when you told him the news all the hesitation went through the window. Like hell, he was going to leave you alone, especially now that you were pregnant.

You were glad you could spend more time with your husband still you felt guilty because you knew how much his restaurant meant to him, and sometimes you couldn't help but think you were interfering with it. Osamu reassured you million times that it definitely wasn't like that and that he was beyond happy that you were going to be parents even thought you weren't planning it just yet. He never failed to show you how appreciated and loved you were but the thoughts still lingered.

When doctor told you the news you felt your breath hitch. Osamu's grip on your hand tightened. You wanted to look at him for reactions, but you couldn't force yourself.

You were terrified. What if he wasn't happy, what if he didn't want so many children. Your mind felt like a thread mill, you didn't even notice when the doctor left the room to give you two few minutes. You had your chaos going on in your brain. What if...

your chain of thoughts were interrupted when you felt the pair of lips clash against yours. You let out a startled noise but returned it. Osamu cupped your cheeks, and rested his forehead against yours.

"Sorry for startling you love."He said and pinched your cheek playfully, giving you a heartfelt smile. "I'm so happy, I don't know what to say." He gave you another peck making you smile. "Three kids! This is going to be amazing love! And I bet your cute butt Tsumu's going to be so jealous!" He snickered and planted yet another kiss on our face. "You have no idea how happy you make me! You're the most amazing thing that has happend to me." The last comment made you crack and you let out all your emotions. Motherhood really scared you especially now that you knew you were going to become a mother of three. But still, you have never felt happier. What more could you ask for? You had the most loving husband and you would have three most amazing children.

"Thank you Samu..." You couldn't even stop your tears now, but you were grinning from ear to ear and Samu was returning the smile.

"No, thank you Y/n. Thank you for being in my life! You're everything I could ever ask for and so much more more. I know you're scared and so am I but we're going to do amazing you got me? Don’t worry your pretty head about anything" He reassured, you nodded and kissed him passionately, your hands rubbing away his tears. "That's my girl. Come on let's rub it in on Tsumu's face!" He grinned mischievously, making you giggle.

He was right you two were going to do amazing, you just couldn't help but wait until you could hold your kiddos in your hands.

Atsumu Miya

If you thought that Atsumu was clingy before you should have seen him now that he heard you were pregnant. He was basically glued to your side.

Not gonna lie the man probably cried when he heard that you were pregnant. And you felt silly that you were worried about his reaction to begin with.

He would try his best to help you with everything, but for the love of god don't let him near the kitchen. (I think out of these four characters he is the worse cook. I headcanon that Osamu learned how to cook because Atsumu couldn't cook at all and it was pretty much pointless to turn to him when he was hungry and there was no food at home, and I'm pretty sure he caused a kitchen fire at least once.)

Really supportive and tries to do everything for you, at some point you really have to make him stop because you can hold your own purce. I can clearly imagine him carrying everything for you, whispering reassuring things and proclamations of love whenever he can.

And don't let me started about him showing you off. One would think that his amazing pregnant wifey is the only thing that he talkes about. All his social media would be filled with pictures of you too. Just imagine having all those cute photo sessions with him!!! ( Yes I have a baby fever now)

"Congratulations, I hear three completely healthy heartbeats. You're going to have triplets!" The elderly woman announced to you with a warm smile. You just stared at her dumbfounded cuz like 3? You would have 3 little Atsumus walking all over your house?

Before you could even react your husband engulfed you in the biggest hug ever, almost knocking you out of the chair. "Oh my god, baby we're going to have triplets it's so amazing! We're going to have three kids! This is so cool!”He gasped as he realized something. “Soon we could have like our own volleyball team! Oh my god, Samu's going to be so jealous. As long as we're out I'm going to rub it in his ugly face!" Let's say you had to drag your hyperactive husband out of the doctor's office after he also almost tacked her too thanking her for the news.

He just wouldn't stop rambling how much he loved you and how thankful he was to have you in his life. And let's say in a matter of minutes everyone knew you two were going to have triplets.

Also let's just say that at some point you really had to shut him up with kisses, because as much as you love him and felt happy he was this amazed, it was still 3 am, and you wanted to sleep

You sure as hell scored yourself one heck of an amazing family.

Ushijima Wakatoshi

Precious baby!!!

He was so happy when you announced him your pregnancy! He spend whole night hugging your belly whispering all the sweet stuff and how he couldn't wait to meet your kid, and how he would teach them everything he knew. You couldn't stop your tears it was such a happy sight.

I just imagine him being on his tippy toes whenever he's around you, bacause he's so large and strong he's fraid he's going to hurt you or the baby.

Also have I said that he would do anything for you? You would be like "Toshi..." And he's like "on it!" No matter which weird craving you have he would bring you everything without a single thought. Your wishes are his top priority.

He would also read books about pregnancy, just so can he know what's happening, and he would also ask you questions so he can understand everything better.

He would also help with your healthy diet, he would bring you all kinds of stuff saying "I heard it's good for pregnant women." (He's such a sweetheart I can't.)

He would also give best massages whenever you feel sore or tired. Anything to make you feel comfortable.

I think that his love language is through acts of service and trust me when I say this, he makes sure you feel loved and appreciated every day.

When the doctor told you the news he gave you the sweetest and warmest smile, immediately washing away all your possible worries. He grabbed your hands and littered them with softest kisses. Muttering to you how happy he was, how he loved you and how much he coudln't wait until they were born with tears on his eyes.

Let's say the doctor had to give you few minutes to yourself because now you were a sobbing mess and were clingling to your husband like your life depended on it. You were just so happy!

The same night he would bring you all sorts of magazines and would help you choose whatever you needed just so the triplets could have the cutest nurcery. (He let you choose anything, he just made comments then and there as he had you in his lap all cutely, snuggled against his chest. His warm hands securely on your belly, softest smile on is face.)

You know, I'm pretty stuck on this. This has been sitting in my inbox for so long. Its so hard to remember these on the spot. I only remember when I'm talking about other stuff lol brainz werk in mysterious ways lol

But I'll still try!

- slappy is the best thing to ever exist.

- Squidabeth is the best thing to ever exist.

Okay before this turns into a brainrot list. Here's the actual hot takes!

-Nerd spongebob is superior sponge. I know later seasons focus more on him being more babyish/childish. But ehh I miss his more nerdier personality.

- I'm okay with the spinoffs. I get so tired always having to clarify on the spinoffs all the time. Jeez do your own research, I ain't magic or working inside with Nick (I wish) I'm tired. I have my concerns and issues otherwise but like if you want to watch it then do it. If you don't then just don't.

- man why did it take so long for Sandy to interact with the other female characters? Why did it take so long for any of the characters to interact? Its random but I was thinking about this a while ago. I get the show is Spongebob Squarepants. Everything is from his POV. But a lot of the female characters could use a little more development. I want an episode focused on Mrs. Puff outside of boating school. She's into metal. She's already cool. Pls let her become a rock star pls. Or just another Sandy/Karen episode because they're so cute together. Its so weird to think about all of them only begun to interact recently.

- I really want them to bring back Pearl being gifted at math!! So much story potential. I'll be honest, I don't like whenever shows got that stereotypical teenage girl character™ no reason but they get a little annoying if you leave it like that. Pearl was apparently supposed to be more apart of the main cast but didn't get used so often. Come on!! I wanna see her hang out with Squidina!! I really like Squidina.

- there's no such thing as a bad episode with The Flying Dutchman. Never. Even the worst ones are still amusing.

- Dutchy probably doesn't pay child support. I just wanted to say that xD

- there is no way Squishwart is heterosexual

- shows timeline is

- first episode any episode where Perch is orange, any episode where Perch is purple, 2nd movie, 1st movie.

Not a complete time line but ya kno. There's two timelines tho! Same as the first but kamp koral takes place in the beginning, then the patrick show. Then we start at the first episode. Then after that, the 3rd movie takes place between the 2nd and 1st movie.

Hope I didn't lost ya there.

- oh yeah! Perch's skin color probably changed with age. Some fishes change color with maturity! I headcanon orange being earlier, and purple being later.

I know you might point out the fish in Ripped Pants. He doesn't look much like Perch. Looks a lot older so I'm just gonna headcanon that it's Perch's dad.

- Kamp koral was kinda boring. The better episodes are when they focus on side characters or new characters. Idk its just not interesting when they focus it on the main cast. Excluding the one where Squidward and Patrick gets lost in the woods together. That was cute. Though my favorite episode is either the one with young Perch or the night cabin.

- season 1 is elite. It's my favorite season of all time. I could go on and on about what I love about this season but everything about it feels so wholesome yo.

- my favorite season amongst the modern era is probably 10? I know that's fan favorite of the modern era. I'd also say season 12 too. Which is an unpopular season due to the expressions but I find myself revisiting season 12 often. Its weird but fun to go back to every so often.

- a lot of spongebob has been ragged on unfairly. I know I always come for the middle seasons but even they are over hated. Its amusing tho how the middle seasons were so hated in the previous years. Nowadays they get more love because the kids who grew up with them has grown to appreciate them. Now its the modern seasons that get a lot of hate. Often times for just being different.

- ehh classic elites kinda ruin the show for me. I wouldn't say this is a be all end all. I still like the classic era and of course nothing can replace how witty and funny it was. But geez these people take it so seriously that it just sucks the fun out of it. Its fun to express your love for spongebob online but they always gotta rag on it and insult people who don't hate everything that came out after the movie. Its ironic considering I used to be a classic elitist. Every so often when I see them raging online, I'm like "jeez was that me?" It gets so exhausting to hate on the show. I also think its a little weird how they've martyred Hillenburg while also acting like the gods of justice by sending death threats to his colleagues and friends. Ehh they get pretty invasive at times. Its kinda uncomfortable.

- on that note. I also find it annoying how people are like "oh kids today will never know how good spongebob was!" Like the classic era doesn't constantly rerun on tv to this day. Jeez I was too young to even remember the classic era when it first began airing. Yet the classic era was what was on tv most of the time. Its like how adults assume kids don't know what vhs tapes/CDs are just because it isn't as popular as it used to. They don't magically disappear the moment something new comes out.

You know that reminds me, when I was a teen, I used to purposely act like I didn't know what some stuff were just to make adults feel like they're out of touch. "Facebook? what is that?" "Britney Spears? Never heard of her" it's so funny.

- Ngl I keep rewatching the Patrick show just to feel something

- mr. Krab's cheapiness went so out of control. Mans due for a spinoff just to rework his character so he can become tolerable again.

- from reading the spongeBob pitchbible and the mussel beach episode. My only thoughts were "spongebob has two hands, one for Sandy, one for Larry"

- the best episodes of Patrick is when he's being sweetly stupid. He's dumb but he knows and loves his friends. That's like the baseline for Patrick. He'd be terribly hurt if he upset them and he cares about them to the end of the earth. If you make patrick a jerk because he's stupid then you've failed to understand him.

- oh also, I'm pretty sure Bunny and Cecil are Pat's adoptive parents. Pat said in Home Sweet Pineapple that his parents kicked him out. I imagine when he did get kicked out, he wasn't prepared so he probably got adopted by the closest Sea Star family around. Thus the Patrick show was born! I already do find Pat's parents questionable. Like letting their daughter get lost like that, or mental training with a bell that managed to even have spongebob say they screwed Patrick up. Bunny and Cecil seem like healthier parents for pat. Plus he got another sister :)

- another thing, ehh Spongebob's parents and family in general are either questionable to outright awful. Man his uncle sherm really kicked out his own son??? captain blue couldn't listen to spange when he desperately needed help? Also spongebob's parents neither taking him seriously and seem to have their own issues too.

- on the note of poor family figures. I'm certain Mr. Krabs father Victor Krabs abandoned his family. Mr krabs grew up dirt poor with only his mother supporting him. I also assume Mr. Krab's other family is also kinda sucky since he didn't really introduce any of them to Pearl. Probably for a reason. Though his mom in the comics seems to have known about Pearl. She's probably the only krab in the family he really cares about.

- Sandy and Karen SHOULD get together. I don't make the rules 😤 😤

- patchy is good. I don't get why is he so hated. I also really like potty :)

- the 2nd movie is a comfort movie for me.

- they really brought the best music for the ScaredyPants episode. Also I find it kinda funny how they found such a hyper specific band for the show. The Ghastly Ones. A horror surf rock band. It fits too well and I like them enough to listen to their other songs just because.

- Ngl its satisfying when spongebob gets angry/frustrated. You dont see those emotions in him. Its either extreme joy or extreme sadness. It adds an interesting bit of nuance to his character.

This Chair makeout is one of my favourites just because in the bloopers, they kept going and going until someone was finally like, “You take your own cue!” and Leighton was like OH!

I know I keep saying it but kdramas do class divides so much better. Cece’s speech is too pointed.

“I’ll tell you what’s going on, I just became your escort to the ball.” Lmao I feel like Dan and Lily are the same person.

“I would just like to say how proud I am of Miss Waldorf and her commitment to Mr. Archibald EVEN THOUGH HE RUINED HER 17TH BIRTHDAY...” this is the most teen thing Chuck has ever done.

I LOVE HOW OLD THE PHONES ARE and they were hot shit back then.

Serena does not look incredible, Dan.

“Serena, that’s what I’m trying to tell you, that woman is the most manipulative person I’ve ever met.” Except for me BECAUSE I’M GOSSIP GIRL.

OK but honestly, what Cece is doing is bullying not manipulation, it’s too direct for it to be manipulation. Telling Lily about that she’s sick so Serena can go to cotillion is manipulative, yes, but the rest of it is just straight up intimidation tactics, she’s using her money as a weapon. They could’ve also gone further with the Lily thing by telling Lily that this is what she wants but she doesn’t want Serena to know that she’s sick so Lily puts her foot down about cotillion and says she has to go or else, thereby making Lily the villain while she remains the cool, free-spirited grandmother because when that DOES happen, it’s too late. It should be an ongoing thing.

“She makes your mother look like Gandhi.” “That’s my grandmother you’re talking about.” LMAO LILY GETS NO LOVE.

“Let’s get Carter on the phone.”

This scene could’ve been better. Dan’s delivery of this revelation was pretty bad because his sarcasm took precedence that he didn’t try to speak to Serena delicately and Serena wasn’t asking the right questions. Dan is like “she offered to buy my dad off so I wouldn’t come tonight” and she’s just like “Nope.” Dan could be like, why would I lie? and Serena could talk about how there could be a mistake, she could call out Dan’s tone and then he leaves and when Cece comes instead of her automatically being like, k time for Carter, she could milk the grandmother routine and say how she’d never do such a thing, she doesn’t understand why he’d lie about this etc. Like manipulation takes a lot more subtlety than what’s going on. This is all way too direct.

Lmao Nate is so unbearable this episode.

“Make it stop, you sound like me.” LMAO, BLAIR.

Chuck is more manipulative than Cece.

Cece does look like she’s about to go catatonic after that “beds as many billionaires as she can” line though. Well done.

How did TVD do a better ball scene than GG?

I also prefer The O.C.’s cotillion. Lmao because it actually tried to look like a legit cotillion.

But The Pierces in the background is pretty atmospheric even though it’s also absolutely ridiculous that they’re performing at a debutante ball.

“SHE’S MY GIRLFRIEND.” oh, nate.

“And you said if I did this I could be myself but you don’t really want that do you?” “That’s not entirely true.” I DIED. LILY.

“All you care about when people look at me is what they think of you” but the thing is I need to see this? Like I need to see Lily being directly affected by Serena’s choices, see how society looks at her and their family for this to be more than dialogue.

I totally forgot that Serena had already slept with Carter.

“When I was your age, I would’ve been lucky to find a guy like you. And I kind of did.” That’s his father, Lily.

Also really, what was Rufus like in the past then? Like what kind of rockstar was he?

Oh Chuck, just can’t win.

Serena turning around to see Dan at cotillion is pretty sweet, ngl.

The problem with this cotillion plot line is that it’s too small. Like if this is about legacy and if this is actually about introducing Serena to society then we need to see what cotillion actually means in this world, we need to see how big of a deal it is, one reporter showing up to interview Blair doesn’t mean anything. We need to see Lily’s and Cece’s peers gossip and talk. Also if this is all about how Cece’s values are old-fashioned then either cotillion needs to be the traditional white dress, white gloves ball

or it’s what we see and Cece complains about how modern/contemporary it’s getting.

Chuck is so Chuck. “Hey! Have you seen Blair Waldorf?” reminds me of when I went up to an acquaintance and I didn’t say hi I just asked where my friend was, I was like “Where’s Scott?” and from then on he - the acquaintance - just called me “Where’s Scott?”

Chuck looks genuinely heartbroken at seeing Blair and Nate. *sigh* too bad they get absolutely terrible.

Nate’s grin is so cringe, lol.

Rufly angst! “I never should’ve let you let me go.” DE could never.

“ ew, mommy kissed dada!! ” shrieked by your children as hajime stuck a tongue at them as he grinned at you, lovesick, before he could get to steal kiss on your lips, you pushed his head to look at the opposite side

Omg thanks for sharing!! You brought up a lot of points that slipped my mind ngl. Gakushuu’s role as an antagonist is really interesting and funny at the same time, for the reasons you said hahaha.

A lot of other people said that he’s really relatable too, and I’ll admit this surprised me at first. I would never have guessed that the characters who’s so “perfect” in every sense of the word...would be so relatable. Then I thought about it and it makes perfect sense.

Gakushuu is a deeply flawed, multi-layered character who feels real, especially compared to some of the more outlandish aspects of AssClass. Like yes, the boy can sometimes feel larger than life and overly...himself lmao, but the core of who he is tugs at my heartstrings ngl.

He’s passionate and ambitious, but puts up a constant wall around himself. He’s a leader and cares about his image and what others think, but at the same time he doesn’t. He can be overly confident but grows to be more humble. He can be one of the most stoic characters, but is so expressive and tempered.

He’s so full of contradictions, I love it. Characters who have so many facets to themselves are my favorites. They remind me of how I act, how real human beings act.

You brought up a super good point about the academics too. I can completely get how he’s relatable in that aspect. Poor kid has some of the biggest pressure on his shoulders, and I think a lot of fans can connect with that.

I may not personally relate to him about academics/school stuff since I’m not half as ambitous lmao. And I used to think I loved Gakushuu just because he has traits I love seeing in other people, but he lowkey does remind me of myself. Just in that he’s so complicated but so easy to read. Also hahaha I can relate to having a terrible relationship with a father figure like he does. Woah, not Zaina admitting she has dad issues.

Last note: “hyper fixated on spilling tea” GIRL I LAUGHED OUT LOUD AT THAT 😂 you’re right!! He’s so nosy lmfao, his entire role in the series was basically him not minding his own damn business 😂 oh my gosh I love him

For anyone wondering the hp boys I simp for(in order from how much I like them and why):

• Draco Malfoy: He wasn’t given a choice or a redemption arch. He was forced into a roll based on blood prejudice, shaping him. For the longest time he wasn’t given a choice but a opinion he needed to agree on. It’s heartbreaking knowing his childhood innocence was clouded by his fathers teachings against those of different blood status’. He was terrible but in the end he made his own choice to save Harry. For me I sympathize for him, and I know deep down he has such a big heart.

• Oliver Wood: His passion just makes him so so attractive to me. I mean he is so dedicated to making his dreams come true, it’s truly inspiring. I don’t have that passion so I find it so admirable. Furthermore his accent, his looks, his smile, and his all around energy makes me so comfortable. He reminds me off pumpkin spice muffins, iced coffee, grass after a long rain, and pure adrenaline if that makes sense. And his accent gives me butterflies🦋🦋🦋

• Tom Riddle: He’s just so attractive and I have a savior complex so I believe there is good in him(doubtly). It makes me so badly want to show him love and how to care for another person. He might be ✨toxic✨ but that is just my type ngl with my past history of dating. He reminds me of a dark academia relationship starting from a thin line of love and hate and I crave that so badly with him.

• Adrian Pucey: HEAR ME OUT. I know he doesn’t have much screen time at all and near nothing on the books but he was so attractive so I’ve read Wattpads about him and he was so adorable. In the Wattpads he is such a softie at heart and so passionate in showing his emotions, his energy I overall get is so good. From appearances and fanfics to me he feels like a warm hug on a stormy night, or a partner to dance with after your date dumped you last minute. I feel realistically I could fall in love with him.

• Regulus Black: I understand he has little to not many parts in the movies and books. I find him dying at 18 from risking his life to destroy a horocrux so admirable. I mean he literally dies, saves Kreacher, all while leading everyone to believe he ran off out of fear of the dark lord while in reality he was protecting everyone he knew by lying and trying to kill Voldemort. He was a hero who never got his acknowledgment. (Also he is literally fan casted as timothee chalamet and why am I so attracted to that??? )

• George/Charlie/Bill Weasley: Hear me out again I equally love these three Weasleys(do not say anything about Charlie not being in the movies). Firstly George is more my type then Fred and he is so wholesome, attractive, smart, kinda reserves but funny, his energy is really good, and I could see myself liking him a lot irl. Charlie I mean he works in Romania with dragons, hot, he definitely is kinda cocky, a little arrogant, has a lot of knowledge, quick thinker, idk when I think of him it’s all good things. Bill I mean doesn’t need a lot of explanation, he just kinda is attractive and gives me a nice homey comforting feeling like he would support me no matter what and over all be a great partner.

• Cedric Diggory: This is so basic🙈 by that I mean all my friends like him. He gives me such good energy, he seems like a softie, warm hugs, cuddles me when I need support, charms my parents, respect me, I repeat RESPECTS WOMEN and treats them with the best manners as he should but he is a king ngl. He gives me very dependable, supportive, kind, and humble vibes.

Idk why I said everyone’s vibes were good, it just means that I have a feeling at heart they are good and my overall opinions of them are good. Don’t judge me putting Adrian, Charlie, and Regulus in because I did. So what.

ugh i watched rakugo last year and loved S1 but yea the ending of S2 was so 🤢 like i understand how it's symbolic that shin carries both kiku and sukeroku's blood but man 😐 n e ways i saw ur tag and was wondering what ur thoughts on miyokichi were?

yeah.... rakugo had me by the dick and the balls back when it was airing lmao and then that thing dropped and i literally got so angry it took me years to get over it. like this series in particular is what made me swear off ever getting attached to any fictional characters again ever to spare myself the disappointment. i saw a lot of myself in kiku, so it genuinely hurted 💀 it just felt like someone spat into my very soul lol. oh well i was younger and more naive and it taught me a lesson i guess, my feelings are my own problems and i need to learn to deal with them instead of relying on fiction to align perfectly with my view of the universe. alrighty!

but honestly the thing's been hinted in the middle of the season when that one yakuza boss claimed that he was the father and kiku thanked him for taking on that burden. it was the moment when i knew but i just preferred to ignore it like a fool. i remember people were speculating about it ever since the kid has grown hair, saying how he looks like kiku, and i was so adamant about getting like Scandalized over the idea because it was so gross. you know i still don't think that i'm wrong and overreacting, i still think that it's a shit writing decision that ruins kiku's character.

he was in love with both miyokichi and sukeroku, and konatsu being their common child should have been a bitter reminder of the unfairness of life. konatsu was associating her parents' death with kiku and blaming him for it her whole life until she learnt the truth. there's just so much loneliness and resentment between them, they were both abandoned by sukekoru and miyokichi, both loved by them, both loving them, and yet they were only left with each other - and the existence of the other only adds insult to injury. it's a complicated and complex relationship. and yet it's implied that konatsu has had a crush on kiku ever since she was in her teens, and kiku knew about it but kept her at an arm's distance, and yet after he told her everything he yielded to her advances after all? after raising her since she was a child. her being the child of the 2 people whom he loved, the 2 people who shaped him into what he is, who define him and who haunt him. just to have a kid to mix the blood of sukeroku and kikuhiko... what for? it's so weird and lame.

and like kiku has always been kind of a nasty person with a difficult personality alright. deeply flawed. but he was never... horrible, he's never done outright vile shit, which is why you can sympathize with him. but him bedding his adopted daughter is just so... idk, it's not even that ooc but it's repugnant. and it's really presented in the weird light that despite his lifetime of struggle in the end he was blessed with mundane happiness of having a child by a woman who loved him which just fills me with so much despair ngl. like i'm aware that it's a personal boundary and other people have no business adhering to my "the nuclear family isn't a be-all end-all solution to everything" worldview but i still hated it so much lol. back then i was also hardcore projecting and in my head kiku was gay so this dissonance also added to the feeling of betrayal. i've accepted his bisexuality however. and again as i said i can see how this whole thing plays into the story but i think it was a bad decision which left me with a bitter taste in my mouth i'll never be able to wash off.

as for miyokichi, she just makes me so sad. i've always had a weakness towards tragic women who are so deeply unhappy in life and keep getting kicked on the head until they die miserably. miyokichi was just a lonely girl with no family and no survival skills or sharp wits, but pretty enough to make men want to use her, which is how she managed to go by. she was stranded in manchuria because of some dude who promised to take care of her and then left her, forced into prostitution, until she met kiku's teacher who also saw her as nothing but meat on a hanger. the reason she was so in love with kiku is that he saw her as a person... he had regards for her feelings, he recognized her humanity, he wasn't leering over her like an animal - despite him being misogynistic in general and valuing his social standing over her (which honestly, can't really blame him either). a lifetime of suffering and loneliness and having to deal with people who only see her as a product and a hole has turned her bitter and even cruel, to the point of being wary of sukeroku's genuine kindness and the fact that he actually did love her, and see her as a person, and unlike kiku actually learnt her real name. but sukeroku himself was a shitty provider, and you need money to survive, and it turned her even more bitter - yadda yadda. i've seen people say that she's a one-dimensional Female Character but it's simply not true, you just need to consider the realities of those times and the standing of women with nothing to their name in post-war japanese society you know. it's complex. but only a woman could have written a character such as miyokichi, she is raw and real and so, so sad. she's also voiced by hayashibara megumi, and wonderfully so, she's one of my absolute favorite seiyuus and her performance was so lovely.
