Ok so with everything happening with RWRB this week, the teasers and trailer and I also reread the book and all of that inspired me to write reactions and how people were affected by Waterloo Letters (Alex and Henry’s email getting leaked) and so I did it.

I wrote a fanfiction called Waterloo Letters Across The World, it’s a collection of stories of people and how they were affected by the letters and it’s on Wattpad.

I would love it if you’d try to read it, it still going but it already has four parts. (Spoiler: the forth part is the best one by far so try this one specifically.)

Summary: American scholarship student Alex Claremont-Diaz is content with glaring at and competing with Prince Henry Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor (Wales is so much more succinct and yellable) and the latter is content with loving the former from a distance until desperation (his chronically ill sister, his father's Senator Campaign, his dire financial straits, take your pick) drives Alex to seek help from his sworn enemy and discover that there may be more to him and their relationship than he'd imagined.

Alex was terribly fond of lists.

It was a well-known fact within his inner circle of close friends and family. When things got to be too much, Alex would find a crumpled receipt, the back of an envelope, a sticky note, and on a few occasions, his bare arm, to write down his thoughts. Notebooks were overrated, Alex had said so on multiple occasions, which simply meant he hadn’t had the forethought to bring one with him. Which was frequently.

i feel like the tumblr obsession w the out of concept excerpt worming its way into (fan)fiction (see: red white and royal blue’s ‘i love you on purpose’ which to me read as a jenny slate reference; the million fanfics with references in the text & also before the text begins) is so neo-latin to me.
