You didn’t know what to expect when you opened the door with Marie. Your first encounter with Sam was a difficult one. And although you’ve come to know him as the sweetest man on the planet, there is still that one incident that made you uncomfortable when you thought about it.

As you enter the room, you realized that it wasn’t one of those days. It was just Sam… being Sam. His body shot up alert with the sound of the heavy metal door closing, but it was instantly replaced with a look that was both apologetic and exhausted.

Sam was at your side in an incident, practically shoving Marie to the side as he embraced you.

"I was so worried about you." he murmurs in your ear as you hug back.

He smelled good. It was a little odd, considering he was always covered in blood whenever you saw him, but he had the distinct smell of some cologne mixed in. It was one you didn't recognize, but it suited him well.

"I'm alright," you say, pulling away from the hug. You look him over, noting the way his eyes look like they have dark circles underneath. He looks like he hasn't slept in days, and from how he looks at you, you can tell he hasn't.

“I was out of line. I know I was out of line." His words were slow and careful, but he spoke them with such clarity. You couldn't deny the sincerity behind his voice.

You smile softly. "It's okay, Sam. I understand—"

"No! It’s not okay! I... I lost my cool and I shouldn't have done what I did. I shouldn't have said those things to you and you don't deserve that. Not at all. And I... I don't want you to leave. I can't stand the thought of it."

You place your hand on his arm, hoping to soothe him. You didn't like the way this was going. You could see how he was suffering, but you didn't know how to make him stop. He looked like he wanted to do anything to keep you from leaving.

"Hey, I'm not leaving. Sam, it's alright, you can relax. I forgive you." You rub his arm with your hand, hoping he would relax. You didn't like the way this conversation was going either.

He takes a deep breath and releases it, allowing his body to loosen up. He was so much taller than you, and his eyes always had a look in them like he wanted to say something, but he never did. Now, it seemed like he had so much to say.

"Sam?”

He looked up at you.

“What’s on your mi—”

You were suddenly cut off by his lips meeting your own. They were warm, and they felt soft against yours, but they were also rough, as if they were cracked and dry. His hand immediately went to the nape of your neck, pulling your face closer to his as his other arm wrapped around you, holding you against him. It was a little startling, but it was a good thing the room was dark. The only light coming into the room was coming from the hallway, and that was just barely enough to illuminate the space between the two of you.

You didn't know what to do with your hands, and you couldn't help but kiss him back. You had never kissed anyone like this before, and the intimacy was new to you, but it wasn't unpleasant. The warmth radiating from Sam's body was enough to make you feel dizzy.

Sam slowly pulls away, but he rests his forehead against yours. His eyes are closed, but he's breathing hard. It's quiet in the room, and you're wondering if it's just you or if he was as winded as you.

"I'm sorry." he whispers after a moment of silence, his eyes opening slightly to look at you. He keeps his eyes closed for a moment before speaking again,

"I don’t… why did I do that?" he murmurs, opening his eyes finally. "I'm sorry, I just... I..."

You take a deep breath and smile at him. You gently place your hands on his cheeks, and he looks up at you in surprise.

"Don't be sorry." you say, leaning in to place a gentle kiss on his lips. He instantly reacts, holding you by the small of your back as you press your body against him.

You pull away to look at him. You smile up at him, hoping that this is enough to ease his nerves. He's staring back at you with a look of confusion, and you can tell that he's overwhelmed by the way his cheeks begin to redden.

"Why are you... smiling?" he asks after a moment. He's obviously embarrassed.

You chuckle, placing a kiss on the tip of his nose. "I just never thought you'd ever be this forward. I always thought you were more the sweet and quiet type."

Sam was quiet for a moment before chuckling. He placed a hand over his mouth as he laughed quietly. He shakes his head as he removes it. He then takes a deep breath and looks back at you.

"You think I'm a sweet and quiet person? I don’t think any of the guards would agree with that. Or the higher ups for that matter."

You laugh, resting your forehead against his. "Well, I've come to know you more than just the blood and death that surrounds you all the time."

He laughs again, wrapping his arms around your body and pulling you close to him. He rests his head in the crook of your neck, holding you tightly.

"Thank you." he murmurs. "Thank you for... not leaving."

"I told you, Sam, I’m not going anywhere. I promise."

He doesn't reply to that, and you feel him relax against you. His breathing evens out, and you feel his body become lax in your arms. It seems as though he had finally calmed down.

For a moment, you had forgotten that Marie was there, but as you turn your head to look at her, she was smiling at you. She gave you a small thumbs up, and you felt a sudden blush form on your cheeks.

You decided not to say anything about it as you wrap your arms around Sam and close your eyes. You still didn't understand the situation you had gotten yourself into, but you felt at ease with Sam. You felt like you could relax around him, and that was all you needed right now. You would have to think about everything else later.

For now, you were content with just holding each other.

The 7th

When the Wizard explained to Billy about his powers he forgot to mention that the Champion of Magic had a seventh patron who would manifest in his greatest moments of need. Although this one did not count as "official" since he was not exactly sharing his powers like the others.

So it's understandable that Billy would freak out at the new voice in his head telling him to steal a sandwich from one of the rude people on the subway.

Billy tried to argue with the voice about it since his parents had taught him all about good and evil but it had been a few days since his conversation with the Wizard Shazam and it had been weeks since his last decent meal other than leftovers. The Sandwich was packed and its owner wasn't paying attention, one little slip and he would have something in his stomach.

Solomon was very upset with the new voice, he was fully aware of who was talking and thought that he had left after the disaster with Adam but apparently the Ghost King had taken an interest in "The New Champion", Solomon had suspicions that it was because Billy was a kid.

The new voice introduced himself as "Phantom", he argued a lot with Solomon, didn't seem to have any moral and Zeus always muttered about his older brother's annoying best friend whenever he manifested. The boy did not know who the new God was but at least he gave good life advice. Or he liked to think so.

Phantom had many arguments with the other immortals, Hercules complained about his friendship with Kronos (which the boy found worrying but decided not to comment), Salomon about his recklessness, Atlas and Achilles bothered him constantly and Mercury kept challenging him to races. But it seemed that thanks to him everyone had become interested not only in helping Captain Marvel but also Billy!

Phantom even had a lot of good advices on being a young hero or keeping his secret from the League and for the first time since he got his powers Billy didn't feel so lost.

Dan is (Insert Character)

So, I've recently fallen in love with the idea of Dan being reformed and being a part of various characters Backstories, like This post about Dan being a Farmer Friend of the Kent's

So here are a few more examples of that!

Dan is Thomas Wayne: Dan is reformed and moves to Gotham to start a new life, while there he meets and befriends the elderly Wayne Couple, who never managed to have kids. Eventually the Wayne end up adopting Dan (who changed his name to Thomas), and he becomes Thomas Wayne. He even has a Kid. Unfortunately as a Parole Requirement, he had to lock away his powers, meaning he couldn't save himself or his Wife the day they got murdered in a Mugging. He became a Full Ghost, and in his rage at the death of his wife he relapsed into his old Violent self. Danny, while he understood the feeling, unfortunately did have to arrest him for his rage filled rampage. His Sentence is finally up, and he wants to see how his Son is doing.

Dan is Billy Batsons Dad: A little known fact about Billy Batson is that whenever he transforms into Shazam, he unconsciously makes himself look more like his Father than a future version of himself. So imagine his shock when, in the middle of a fight, one of his enemies takea a closer look at him and suddenly yells out, "Is that DAN!?". Billy now wants to know how these Extra Dimensional Monsters know his Dad's name. And why they seem Terrified of him...

Dan is Alfred's Dad: Alfred is taking one of his famously rare Vacations, and the rest of the Batfam decides to ask where he is going. "Oh, I'm going to visit my Father" "Wait what? Aren't you like 100 years old?! How is your dad still alive?!" "Did you not know? Alfred is a Demigod" "WHAT?!"

Dan is Jonathan Kent: Dan settles down somewhere in Smallville, Kansas. Unfortunately, as a Halfa he isn't physically capable of having kids, but as luck would have it a space pod carrying a small baby crashes into their fields one night. When that baby starts developing powers, Dan is experience enough to help him control them though. Just imagine one day, a Villain discovers Superman's Civilain Identity and tries to attack his Dad, only for his dad to be stronger than him.

Dan is Ra's Al Ghul's Dad: Dan was reformed and decided to get sent back in time to live his life, so he wouldn't interrupted the present Timeline. While there he met a lady and had a Kid. Unfortunately, he was forced to return to the Zone to wait for the Future to happen when his son was barely into adulthood, but he did decide to give him a Birthday Gift. The Lazarus Pits. Once in the Zone, he had to wait for a few centuries to pass before he was allowed to return, but once he was allowed back to the Living Realm he immediately began to search for his Son. The Pits should have kept him alive this long, so hopefully he lived a nice long life. Wait, who are these Cult Guys around his Lazarus Pits? And, where is his son? And why does that lady feel so familiar? Who is that little Demon Brat?

Dan is General Sam Lane: Simple really, Dan is Lois Lanes dad, and she is technically a Quarter Ghost but she had never awakened her powers. If you want to use the Injustice Timeline, then Lois gets resurrected after a few days and finally awakens her Halfa Powers. She is there to stop Superman from fully turning to the Dark Side, and asks her Dad to help Clark keep his emotions in check.

🐜 antnon! I love that. And your idea too…I have many robot beloveds so…have a few, from a variety of fandoms…

Robots my beloved…

-Various fandom robots and how they hold you-

Screwllum: A Proper gentleman robot~he’s not going to get super cuddly with you, but especially in public. He’s never been much for showing love through literal touch, but…with a human partner…he does appreciate that you might need some physical affection.

It’s subtle with Screwllum. The two of you sitting close together, your leg touching his, either your hand on his thigh, or his hand on yours. It’s elegant…refined, and tasteful. Enough for anyone to be able to tell the two of you are together.

Sometimes you want more though. He wishes he could understand your desire for physical affection, especially when he’s involved. You really want to sit on his lap? He’s a robot. He’s not soft or comfortable and yet…if you manage to get some time alone with him you can sit on his lap for a bit.

And yeah. He’s not very comfortable. But you make it work. Just drape yourself over his lap and hope for the best.

Svarog: He’s comfortable touching humans he trusts, and if you’re his? He’s got enough experience to know that physical affection is a good way to show he cares about his favorite humans.

For a while, the physical affection is pretty situational. He tends to touch you when he’s feeling protective of you. A hand on your hip, or on your lower back. Kinda shocking the first time you experienced Svarog’s (overly) protective side. You were just dealing with someone who was sorta upset at you, and apparently them raising their voice at you triggered Svarog’s protective instincts.

You’re so used to him, you hardly even noticed the robot’s presence, until the person you were talking to suddenly shut up, and you felt a large, robotic hand on your shoulder. He doesn’t even have to say anything and they’re leaving. The overprotectiveness IS a bit annoying but…given what you know about Clara you can’t blame him for being overprotective with his humans.

Also!! Something cool about Svarog…he’ll let you sit on his shoulder if you promise to exercise caution. It’s…a lot higher up than you were initially expecting…kinda scary…but very fun.

Sam: I made a whole post about this but…it takes a while for him to figure out how to be gentle with you. He’s REALLY strong, and can’t really feel pressure, so he doesn’t notice if he’s hurting you unless you say something, or yelp in pain. He gets used to it eventually, and you get carried around bridal style by the warrior, EVERYWHERE. Or if you don’t feel like being carried, but your bodyguard still wants his hands on you…he’ll have one hand on your hip, and his other hand holding yours.

He would never say it, but he does love it when you’re the one who initiates physical affection with him.

This typically happens when you’re feeling cold and want to warm up against your physically warm robot.

He kinda just, sits and manspreads so you can sit comfortably between his legs and lean up against his chest.

Cozy~

Epsilon (Pluto): A robot with a much better understanding of interacting with humans than most of my robot beloveds…

Given that he’s raising small human children, you’re not surprised he’s good at simple acts of physical affection.

Hugs and handholding are something he’s pretty good at, though…on much smaller people. He has to get used to hugging you, and holding your hand, though he adjusts pretty quickly. But hugs are brief, and handholding is distant enough…when you do want to cuddle for real he’s a little stiff and awkward. He’s sitting, and you sit next to him, and take his hand and lean your head on his shoulder…

He’s not necessarily uncomfortable, because it’s you, but you can tell he’s a bit nervous. Go easy on him and take it slow. He’ll get used to cuddling you, it’s just…different when it’s his human lover.

Eventually it gets to the point where you can cuddle comfortably on his chest, but a personal favorite of yours is sitting on the back of a couch, him sitting between your legs so you can comfortably rub his shoulders, or play with his hair. It’s a shame he can’t actually enjoy the sensations that come from you touching him, but just being close to you, and knowing what the gestures are supposed to mean are enough to him.

But yeah the most he’ll do for you in public is handholding and hugs. Occasionally he’ll stand close enough for your arms to brush, it’s nice. His hands are nice, too. So incredibly powerful, and yet he was always so gentle with you, and with his children.

Billy Kid (Zenless Zone Zero): OK OK he’s a CYBORG I KNOW but lemme have this~

Despite how physically affectionate he would LIKE to be, he’s not very good at it…he doesn’t know his own strength, and he tends to not pay attention…so you’ll move to hold his hand or lean against him, and he’ll spin around really fast because oh it’s his favorite person! And he ends up bonking you because he spun around too fast, not paying attention to how close you are to him…he always feels so bad when he accidentally hurts you…just tell him what he needs to do to hold you properly and he’ll do his best…in certain combat situations though, sometimes he just has to pick you up and RUN.

But yeah, just…be aware when you’re cuddling Billy and you’ll be totally fine! Maybe.
