I will not complain about Tendo headcanons. I love hearing people's ideas and opinions about him. He's such an interesting and underrated character (in my opinion).

It was Y/n’s last year of Middle School and instead of spending her weekend at home doing nothing exciting as she always did, her friend, Maki, dragged her out of the house and forced her to go watch her boyfriend play volleyball with her because no one else was free to do so. Y/n didn’t mind but she wished that Maki had given her a little bit of notice before turning up at her door at nine in the morning.

The pair were currently standing on the bleachers watching the third round of a volleyball game. Y/n watched as the ball went back and forth from one side of the court to another, dropping onto the floor every now and again. Every time her friend’s boyfriend touched the ball, Maki would give an obnoxiously loud cheer and nudge Y/n to do the same.

 The game ended with the team they were cheering for losing causing Maki to look more than disappointed, which signalled Y/n to silently pat her on the back.  The girl then went to walk off and go home but her friend grabbed her wrist and made her come with her to console her boyfriend. When they got down to the hallway, Maki immediately ran over to her boyfriend and showered him in complements, leaving Y/n standing there awkwardly.

The girl’s eyes began to wonder from person to person until they landed on a lonely looking red-haired boy, who no one was trying to cheer up. This was something Y/n couldn’t quite understand, even though she hadn’t been watching the game intently like her friend had been, she’d watched enough to know that the boy had played well so it didn’t make sense to her why no one had said a word to him, including his own team mates. Before she even realised what she was doing, Y/n had begun to walk over to him.

“I know you don’t know me, but I was watching with my friend and well I thought you played really well today”, the girl said making the red-head stand there shocked before he finally smiled at her.“Thank you!” the boy exclaimed loudly while continuing to give the girl a bright smile. He opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by Y/n’s friend calling her over. Y/n waved goodbye to the boy as she walked over to meet up with her friend.

Kei had never seen her like this, he didn’t say a word. He carefully laid down next to y/n and slowly pried her body from its curled up state. His gentle hand wrapped around her wrist as he guided her body to face him. Y/n’s red flushed face and teary eyes shied away from his gaze.

Again, he didn’t say anything. Not because he didn’t care, but because he was genuinely at a loss for words. Nothing he could say would accurately depict how deeply he cared for her, How desperate he was to make her happy again.

So, he said nothing.

Kei let her cry all over his white shirt, rubbing her back as he softly kissed her head.

After a while, the gentle sobs quietly faded out and slowly turned into soft snores.

A gentle nighttime breeze lingered in the air as kei inched his hand onto y/n’s and carefully entwined their fingers.

Y/n was currently sat on Satori’s bedroom floor, lent against his bed as she tried so hard to focus on her homework. But her mind was plagued by thoughts from her shitty day and the constant chatter from her not-so-shitty boyfriend who was laying upside down on his bed as his head hung off of the side of the bed. His face upside down and next to y/n.

“That’s the fifth time you’ve said that, y/nnn” Tendo said, dragging out the last letter of her name, not in announce, however, more in desperation.

“Because there’s nothing wrong.” She replied in a stern tone- much different to her usual kindly spoken dialect.

Tendo sighed in response. He had tried endlessly to make her laugh and to pull his girlfriend from this unknown and sudden bad mood.

So he sat there in defeat. Examining her beautiful face and her unique features: her lips that he could kiss endlessly, her imperfect skin that was so perfect to him, her beauty marks and freckles that gracefully coated her skin. He traced her face all the way up to her eyes- which had tears slowly building up in them.

“You’re beautiful, y/n”

“what?”

“you’re perfect”

The tears in her eyes began to overflow at this point. She wasn’t sad or upset by these compliments- it just felt so good to here these words at a tough time.

His slender hand grasped her chin as Tendo turned y/n’s head in order for her to be looking at him. He slowly pulled her face into his as their lips melted together, y/n’s tears slowly trickling down between their lips.

It sort of reminded tendo of that one scene from spider-man.

Headcanon:

❥ Tendou was a nail biter, it’s how he originally started to paint his nails, however instead of funky colours it was with that disgusting tasting clear polish.

❥ Little did he know that this would start an obsession

❥ You can’t convince me that his two favourite colours to paint his nails are red (to match his hair) and black.

❥ He likes to change his nails as often as he has the time, his job isn’t kind on his nails or hands

❥ He also likes to have them painted for special occasions, sometimes he even goes out of his way to do small nail art drawings or swirls on his thumb nail.

❥ He loves to paint your nails when he can’t always keep his painted due to his work, always going out of his way to give you the funkiest patterns and jewels.

❥ He even managed to convince Ushijima to get his nails painted by him, although he only allowed either white or black.

❥ Despite not having his nails painted as often as Tendou, Ushijima likes to bring him new fancy colours that he finds on his travels and he keeps them all in a drawer even after they go out of date <3
