Logline: Late for an important interview, a righteous college student anxiously decides if s/he should jaywalk. 

Theme: morality / society’s expectation 

In my home country, Bangkok, Thailand, cars don’t stop for pedestrians. Traffic is the worse and jaywalking is also very common. When I moved to Hong Kong for 1 year to pursue my studies at SCAD, the pedestrian crossing across the building has a pole with a button to press, and without pressing it, the lights would not signal the cars to stop. Most of the streets here in Savannah are similar to the ones in Hong Kong. Within these years, I witness different questionably funny scenarios at the pedestrian crossing. In some countries, enforced laws result in consequences for those who break the rules. This short- animated film will explore the theme of morality, society’s expectation, and the internal conflict of a righteous international college student who awaits at the lights while witnessing everybody else jaywalk. I have a few other ideas and loglines brainstormed, but this one is one of the simpler one which is more plausible to do for a CAPSTONE film. It is a personal experience relatable to the target audience (college students, and anyone who uses pedestrian crossing).  12/1/20 -Mimi Komthongchusakul     ANIM385
