i think everyone who says that serena had no growth in xyz is watching a COMPLETELY different show to me. the entire point is that at the beginning she doesn’t have any ambitions or dreams of her own, and she figures out that she wants to be a performer along the way and finally fights for something that she actually WANTS to do instead of allowing herself to just be pushed into what other people want from her.

“she was so cool riding rhyhorn why didn’t she keep doing that” because she HATED IT!!! she didnt WANT to be a rhyhorn racer, it was just what her mother expected of her!!!! that was never her dream! sure, she grew to appreciate it, but that was only AFTER she felt like she had a choice in the matter!!
