Tumblr media
warnings: curse words, fights, unwanted flirting
tags: ocs to fit the plot, badass (y/n), personal BEEF IN THIS FIGHT, who's your head of the table now? LET’S SPICE IT UP A BIT WITH SOME BACKSTAGE DRAMA
summary: we all hate that one dude from work
EVER since you were put into a tag-team reign with your boyfriend, you couldn't help but to notice that he was very very protective of you. see, you weren't weak at all, but all the hard hits and impacts? he took them for you. who would've thought that his protectiveness rubbed off on you?
"baby." roman greeted you with a kiss. "what's good baby?" you replied. "creatives called us." you furrowed your brows, clearly confused. "they're gonna talk about our bookings." you followed him to his car. "i'm so excited, i hope we're gonna fight sami and kevin again!" you giggled, taking pictures of him driving. "i hope so too."
to your surprise, you spotted paul heyman sitting in the middle of the room. "paul?" you were still confused. "oh (y/n), roman. you're not gonna like this." his tone was concerning. "we're not gonna like what?" speak of the devil, the office door opened, revealing two people you didn't want to see. "you gotta be shitting me." you muttered under your breath.
mike and ryan, or their tag-team name, the miracle workers, were bad wrestlers. they were ranked the most reckless wrestlers in the current lineup. "look who we have here!" ryan stared at you from head to toe. you hated him. he was a flirt, always trying to get it with you, even though he knew that you were dating the roman reigns. roman tensed up, moving his chair closer to yours.
on the other hand, mike was probably more insufferable than ryan. he was a man of few words, but when he opened his mouth, he'd say the worst thing that someone could ever think of. you really couldn't do anything about this booking. they were pushing you and roman together for being the new upcoming tag-team champions, this match was just another roadblock to success. as soon as you signed the contract, you could tell that ryan was still eyeing you.
“can’t wait to see you in your sexy gear, (y/n)." ryan winked at you. “how many times do i have to tell you that i have a boyfriend and he’s literally sitting in front of you.” you rolled your eyes in annoyance. “i’m just saying you look good in your gear, i can treat you right.” that got into your boyfriend’s nerves as he stood up from his seat, causing you to stand up as well–to prevent things from going downhill. “chill, dude. that was a joke.” ryan panicked for a second. “you better start respecting her or i’m going to actually kick your ass, ryan.”
roman was known for his good temper, but some people got under his nerves. you put your hand on his shoulders. “come on, let’s go.” you said, not wanting to cause a fight. “yeah. we’re just wasting our time here.” paul added. the black-haired male grunted in response, taking your hand and walked out of the room with an annoyed expression plastered on his face. “i swear, we’re going to fucking ruin them next week.”
something riled up inside your boyfriend after the contract signing incident. he was… oddly very excited for the match. he complained about it before but now? he was working his ass off. roman also contributed to the choreography, it was mostly his idea. you saw the moves and you knew that he was trying to get you away from ryan as much as possible, pinning you to your other opponent, mike.
the gym was filled with commotion. "AND ANOTHER SPEAR FROM HER!" solo yelled, acting like the commentator. "SOLO, GET YOUR ASS HERE! YOU'RE A REFEREE NOT A COMMENTATOR!" his brother shouted. "RIGHT." solo immediately jumped into the ring, counting down to 3. before he could reach the third number, you kicked out. "shit, you really are the female version of him." jimmy complained.
you licked your lips in excitement, feeling adrenaline pumping in your blood. "i'd really hate it if i was put inside the ring with you, (y/n)." jimmy stood up, fixing his gloves. "and thank god we're in the same faction!" you grinned, countering his kick with another kick. jimmy was down as you locked his head with your arms. you won again in this practice, "HELL YEAH!" you jumped, falling on you back. "i don't get you sometimes, (y/n). you're clumsy as hell but like you're also fast."
"that's because she's in good hands." your tag-team partner (aka boyfriend) went inside the ring. "you missed my cool kick." you pouted. "i didn't, i was watching from behind the glass." he took off his glasses and started stretching. "you know, i'd love to see you wrestle with your glasses on." you winked at him. "stop flirting and start attacking." jey complained.
thankfully, you came home in one piece, despite having your body thrown from left to right. it was going to be a big fight tomorrow and you hated the bookings. "what are you thinking about, baby?" your thoughts were cut-off by your boyfriend's voice. "how i fucking hate being in the ring with mike and ryan." you sighed. "honestly, you’re right. they need to know their place, i can’t stand seeing you being disrespected." he agreed.
"it's going to be okay, baby. i mean what's the worst thing that could happen to us?"
the day for the match came and you couldn’t wait for it to be over. roman was holding your hand the entire time, not wanting you to slip from his sight. suddenly, his phone rang, he hesitated for a second. “babe, it’s okay. you can go answer the phone, i’ll be in the locker room.” you gave him a reassuring smile. “okay, i’ll be right back.” with that, he left you.
locker room wasn’t empty. you spotted some of your friends gearing up for the show. “hey, (y/n)!” bianca gave you a big hug as soon as she saw you. “hi!” you returned the gesture. “excited for tonight?” she sat down to adjust her outfit. “i never wanted to walk-out of a match so bad.” you complained. “ah yes, mike and ryan.” she cringed at the thought of the miracle workers. “good luck then, beat their asses!”
“damn, told you that you looked good with your gear.” you didn’t have to turn around to know who it was. “what are you doing here?” you asked. the locker room was empty now and your boyfriend was still on his call with jey. “do you mind?” “i don’t mind talking to you while your bodyguard isn’t here.” he winked. “jesus, drop the entire flirty act, please?” you were very annoyed. “i’m sorry i just can’t help it, you’re too pretty to ignore.”
“and you look too young to get your ass beat by me. move it, ryan.” you sighed in relief as you heard your boyfriend’s voice. “aaand the tribal chief is here, better get going. good luck tonight.” “stick to the script tonight!” he closed the door, avoiding a long lecture from the champion himself. “did he do anything?” roman looked at you with concern written all over his face. “no he didn’t, just his usual shit.” “right, let’s just end this night. we can go home after that and get ice cream.”
the show started for the two of you. “the undisputed tag-team champions, roman reigns and (y/n) (l/n), the bloodline!” the crowd went wild as you walked down to the ring. mike and ryan were already standing inside, ready to attack anytime. people were rising up their fingers in tribute of your championship with roman. as soon as you slid inside the ring, bowing down to the crowd–you could tell this was going to be a messy match.
your heart skipped a beat when the match started, mike and ryan immediately going off script. ryan was continuously trying to get you down, instead of roman. you made eye-contact with roman for a second, knowing how this match was going to be tough. you quickly avoided the punch that ryan was throwing at you. you dropkicked him from behind, causing him to fall on his stomach. now that ryan was down, you just needed to help roman stray mike away. “and a spear from reigns to mike, what will they do after this?” you jumped on the ropes, ready to jump on mike before ryan picked you up.
“ryan is back on his feet, capturing her in his lock.” you breathed for air as you were lifted from the ropes. “ryan, jesus christ!” you mouthed at him. he threw you on the ground, still going off script. oh, someone’s gonna get fired tonight, you thought. it was totally personal for the four of you. the move he made earlier caused you to hurt your shoulders. pain shot up from your shoulders. before he could tackle you again, roman speared him to the barricades. that one was personal.
mike was in the middle of the ring, looking for another attack. you speared him to the barricades, copying your boyfriend’s move. he wasn’t moving. one down, one to go, you thought. while you were with mike, ryan and roman were back inside the ring. you could see ryan was going to throw a punch on one of your boyfriend’s already bruised peck. you ran and slid inside the ring, dragging him into the pole. you were still holding back your punches, still being professional as ever. everyone could tell that you and roman were pissed. even the most gullible fans knew that the two of you were different tonight.
the crowd counted down along with the referee and you were glad that it was over. “and the winners, still the undisputed tag-team champion, the bloodline, roman reigns and (y/n) (l/n)!” you lifted the belts with your boyfriend on your side. “thank you.” he mouthed to you. “anything for you, baby.” you winked at him.
needless to say, you knew the backstage was going to be a mess. the locker room, on the other hand, was impressed with you and roman. “dude, i’d be so fucking pissed. i won’t even hold back my punches.” theory was there, still in his gear, clearly waiting for the two of you to drop some tea. “i just don’t get it why they were so fucking reckless.” you were offered ice by shotzi, she gave you a pity smile.
“what the fuck, reigns?” the miracle workers came back to the locker room. “no, what the fuck, ryan?” you stood up from your seat, clearly angered by his actions. “we told you to stick to the script.” your tone was laced with venom. “and we don’t listen to you fuckers.” mike said. “see, if you complied with us and just be a pretty girl inside the ring… be useless as usual, we might stick to the scri-“ before mike could finish his sentence, you dropped the ice and lunged on him. you had him on headlock, the man was on the ground. “call me useless one more time and you and your flirty friend right there,” you paused for a second to point at ryan who was scared shitless. “are going home with nothing but cut and bruises.”
roman wanted to intervene, but he knew you were capable of protecting yourself. “bro, you’re not gonna do anything?” jimmy nudged him. “nah, i’ll sit back and watch. i love seeing her being aggressive. they deserved it.”
a/n: HIII thank u so much for your request and i really appreciate your comment <333 it made my day!! requests are still open but i'm gonna focus on operation: together (aka a love triangle between roman and cody) check it out <3

Heeseung :
rate him 10/10
he has the father figure
It doesn't matter how many kids he has, he treats all of them equally.
he is the type of dad who would stay up late to prep his kids lunch box and leave a extra note in it that says 'I hope your day in school goes well! Don't get into any trouble!'
his kids all love him bc he picks them up from school and buys them ice cream (even though you told him to stop)
"don't tell mom I brought you guys ice cream"
... you'll find out eventually when one of them spills the tea
Jay :
rate him 10000000/10
literally the definition of dad
he treats his kids and you well. Cooking you guys dinner even when he is tired.
just note he is definitely going to dress up your kids in branded clothing only (bc he has the money)
"jay, babe, I don't think they need branded clothes at a young age"
"y/n, shh. This is fashion"
every saturday, he would bring his kids out to have a father and child(ren) bonding day while you rest at home.
he would tuck his kids in bed and make sure to leave them a goodnight kiss.
Jake :
rate him 9.5/10
that 0.5 is him, losing his brain cells whenever he brings his kids to his dance rehearsal.
"NAURRR! LEO! COME BACK HERE!"
* chases after your 3 y/o son *
he would be super duper adorable if you guys have a daughter. especially if she's only 1 y/o.
he is going to dress her up in those cute outfits and take many many pictures. (*whispers* he has a dedicated folder for his kids)
Sunghoon :
rate him 8/10
a menace to society...he tries to be a good dad
BUT THEN
he likes to annoy the hell out of your kids
your son doesn't like him very much bc sunghoon likes to prank him a lot.
"Jun, your mom loves me more than you"
* cues your son cries *
"PARK SUNGHOON! YOU BETTER SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" *smacks hoon's head*
RIP /jokes
Sunoo :
rate him 9/10
probably the calmest among the rest BUT
he would probably get nervous whenever your child cries
"Why are you crying!?!?"
* your child cries louder *
"please don't cry, I'll give you my wallet" 😓
Jungwon :
rate him 10/10
I mean he is the ✨LEADER✨
your kids flavor him more than you
why?
he buys them whatever they want...and maybe bc he has the most adorable face that makes your kids melt.
"he won't stop crying", you handed your son to jungwon. Your son immediately stops crying.
you looked at him like 👁️👄👁️
"what the hell, yang jungwon..."
"It's the face y/n"
"are you calling me ugly then?"
*panics* "N-NO! WHAT! BABE!"
Niki :
rate him 8/10
as much as I love him...he is the real menace to society
your kids always complain about their dad not being fair
"Riki, what did you do?"
"*gaps* Y/N! WHAT HAVE THOSE DEVILS DONE TO YOU"
you face palmed yourself. Niki tries to hide the candy behind him.
"Riki, just give them back their candy"
Niki pouts and throws a tantrum. You blinked blankly at him.
Your child enters the room and yeets a pillow right on his head.
"SEE I TOLD YOU!! THEY ARE DEVILS!!"

Chapter 7: Intrigue and Intimidation
Word Count: 4.8k
Tags: Slow-burn, Enemies to Lovers, eventually NSFW, uh, if I think of more I'll add them or something
After having her sloop sunk by the Buggy Pirates and losing most of her worldly possessions in the process, the normally solitary mercenary Karimi Lionne finds herself teaming up with the rag-tag little crew that is the Strawhat Pirates to defeat them. She bonds with them far more quickly than she bargained for, and that quickly turns into a problem for the Kiku Kiku no Mi devil fruit user when she learns of Nami's plans to leave them high and dry, and Zoro issues a challenge at Baratie that he very likely won't live long enough to regret.
Tumblr media
At least two more hours passed, as the sparring bordered on legitimate physical torture; there was no way the swordsman couldn’t tell Karimi was bordering on losing consciousness by the end of it, able to do no more than stumble forward and make a half-hearted swipe with one of her daggers. She halfway wondered if this wouldn’t end until she did pass out from overexertion.
“Enough.”
The second he swiped her dagger away with his knife, the second that word left his mouth, she collapsed to her knees and fell backward onto the grass. Mihawk watched her for a moment as he sheathed his own knife and fixed the cord back around his neck again, giving a small scoff at the pitiful sight of her—hair darkened and dampened with sweat, face reddened under her freckles, shoving her daggers back into their sheaths and pulling her hat down over her face as she expelled a heavy sigh.
Nevertheless, she had performed decently—perhaps better than he had expected her to.
“You did well,” he said after a moment. “I’ve seen worse, at any rate.” His eyes passed up and down her briefly, her chest still rising and falling heavily as she lay limp on the grass. “Though your stamina could use work.”
“I’m hung over. And I haven’t eaten in almost twenty-four hours,” she said tersely, still catching her breath. She swallowed. “I…I’m just gonna…gonna stay here.”
“No, you won’t.” She gave a growl of annoyance—and then lifted her arm, extended her middle finger briefly, and let the limp fall back to the ground heavily. Mihawk rolled his eyes skyward—she might be of some use as an associate, but if her attitude didn’t adjust soon he might simply end up pushing her over the side of his boat and watching her sink. “Your dear friend made mention that dinner will be at five o’clock. That gives you perhaps an hour to get yourself cleaned up.”
“Why don’t you go off and play a nice game of hide and go fuck yours—” Her own cry of alarm cut her words off when Mihawk, having heard quite enough, stooped down and pulled her roughly to her feet by her wrist. Her hand flew immediately to that wretched old hat, fixing it back in place atop her head. “What are—excuse me—”
But Mihawk was already lifting her up over his shoulder. “If you insist on acting like a child, you will be treated like one.”
“I’m not a sack of potatoes,” she complained—but there didn’t seem to be enough strength left in her to put up a fight over it with anything more than words.
“Roughly as useful as one,” he said under his breath.
“Potatoes are plenty useful. All the ways they can be prepared, makes for a decent projectile weapon in a pinch—”
“Would you be quiet?”
“If you’re going to treat me like I child I’m going to act like one,” she said, and even had the nerve to make a cruel mockery of his tone. He could practically hear the girl smirking, and for more than a brief moment he considered simply dropping her.
“Or I could end your life right now,” he suggested.
“Just make it quick and painless, if you don’t mind.”
She truly seemed to have an answer for everything—an answer, a taunt, an insult, as if she truly had no reservations at all that he truly could end her life with ease, without an ounce of hesitation. As if she simply didn’t care. Irritating though she was, that had briefly piqued his interest from their first meeting. She had said the same words there on the docks like a joke, to make it quick and painless, but had shown legitimate fear only minutes later when he seized her by her neck.
“Do you not fear death at all?” he asked, almost incredulously, after a long pause.
Karimi leaned back against the front door of the mansion when he set her back upon her feet near the entrance, and gave a slight shrug.
“I’m already living on borrowed time, anyway.”
And, as if that were a perfectly reasonable response, she simply turned and pulled the door open, heading inside without another word on the subject. It took another long moment for Mihawk to process her statement, frowning at the open doorframe as she disappeared into a room off to the left of the sprawling foyer. There was every chance she was doing this on purpose—that she thought he would be less likely to kick her to the curb if he had some interest in her.
There was every chance she was listening to his thoughts to decide exactly how to manipulate him toward that interest. It was impossible to discretely tell whether her haki was active or not at any given time, with her dark green curls covering the black pinpricks just behind her ears that signified it was in use. This was an issue he would have to find a way to deal with—and quickly.
Karimi heard the front door shut several seconds after she had entered herself, reasonably pleased that she had evidently blindsided the warlord. She might not have been able to best him in physical combat, but she had no issue wielding words against him—and the true beauty of it was didn’t even need to use her devil fruit powers to do so.
She found Kaya in the parlor off to the left of the foyer, sitting in an armchair with her feet curled under her and a book open in her lap. Karimi knocked lightly at the doorframe as she spoke up. “We’re done. Finally. Same room as last time?”
“Yes, that’s fine with—oh, heavens,” said Kaya when she looked up and caught sight of Karimi—drenched in sweat, still catching her breath a bit, drying blood caked on her cheek and grass stains on her white shirt and tan shorts. “Are…are you…?”
“Oh, I’m fine,” she said dismissively. “Just exhausted. Wanted to get in a bath before dinner, for…” She looked down at herself pointedly, grimacing a bit at the sight of the stains on her shirt and shorts. She didn’t own many clothes anymore, only what she had managed to salvage from her ship before it sank, and she was fairly certain at least this shirt was ruined now. That was just wonderful. She gave a sigh. “For obvious reasons.”
“Y…yes, of course,” said Kaya, a bit weakly, still staring at her with wide, astonished eyes. “W—were you sparring this entire time?” Karimi gave a nod. “It’s been nearly four hours, how are you still standing?”
“Stubbornness and sheer force of will?” she offered—her legs honestly felt like they were made of jelly at this point, so it wasn’t too far from the truth. She laughed a little. “So anyway…” She nodded toward the stairs. “Bath. I’ll show our local lord the guest quarters. Best you have limited contact with him. He has all the tact of a ill-mannered housecat.”
Kaya’s eyes grew a bit wider at that. Darted, for a fleeting moment, to just over Karimi’s shoulder, before returning to her eyes.
On glancing over her own shoulder Karimi noted that the warlord was standing just behind her, arms crossed, his impatient countenance indicating that he had definitely heard her description of him. She sighed to herself, looking back at Kaya, and gave a quick smile. “Excuse me a moment.” She turned then to face Mihawk, crossed her own arms and leaned her shoulder into the doorframe, quickly glancing up and down him. “You have all the tact of a ill-mannered housecat.”
The warlord blinked at her slowly for a moment, his expression unchanged. Then he rolled his eyes toward the high ceiling for a moment. “And you possess the decorum equivalent of a poorly trained circus ape.” His eyes returned to hers as she raised her eyebrows, pursing her lips. “The guest rooms, if you don’t mind.”
“Of course, your lordship,” she said tersely. She turned, gave Kaya a pleasant smile and a wave. The smile that Kaya returned appeared more than a little strained. Karimi was sure the girl was beginning to regret inviting them to stay, even if only for the night. Karimi started toward the stairs, adding, “Right this way for the grand tour, your eminency—”
“Oh for the love of…” She smirked herself as she heard him grumble behind her in irritation. “Why exactly do you insist upon being such an insolent brat?”
“Largely because I resent the entire idea of this arrangement and I would like to be able to go back in time and retract my offer,” she said coldly, gripping the railing tightly as she ascended the grand staircase to assist in pushing her weakened muscles forward. If she could just make it as far as her room and get a bath drawn to soak in for a while, she would be fine. She was sure of it. “But also because it’s entertaining.”
Mihawk didn’t bother speaking to her any further as she led the way through the sprawling mansion. She indicated the door to the dressing room when they passed it, indicated the hall of guest bedrooms, and slipped away into her own room without another word or taunt. The very first thing she did was fall into the queen-sized bed at the center of the room, groaning quietly and setting her hat aside to pull a pillow over her face.
That was where she spent the next several minutes, both unwilling and nearly unable to move, idly hoping that perhaps if she remained lying atop the fluffy comforter she might sink completely into it and simply vanish in a puff of abysmal luck. The exhaustion was far more than only physical. An entire year serving that jackass meant an entire year that she couldn’t focus on her own goal, her only goal, and it would slip that much further away from her. Not that she was remotely close to it, anyway—the longer she searched, the more uncertain everything seemed.
It took every ounce of her will to pull herself back to her feet, trudge into the adjoining bathroom, and begin running a bath.
She was nearly late making it downstairs to dinner, tugging at the low neckline of the shimmering dark green dress she had changed into—off shoulder, but with long sleeves to cover the scars across her arm, a conversation point that she didn’t particularly enjoy taking part in. Kaya at least hadn’t come downstairs yet, so she couldn’t have been too late.
No, the only people in the foyer were a couple of the staff passing through toward the kitchen and dining room, and the new bane of her existence. Leaning one elbow against the banister of the stairs and holding a glass of wine by its stem, the warlord had changed into a white shirt with a ruffled collar, half unbuttoned and tucked into a pair of black pants, a dark red cape draped over his shoulders, though his plumed hat and heavy boots remained unchanged.
Kaya’s whisper from earlier, when she had first introduced the girl to him, rand in her head for a moment—Well, he is quite handsome, isn’t he?—before she shoved it away, rolling her eyes as she passed him and made for the table holding a few bottles of wine and crystal glasses. She set down her tricorne and leather satchel on the table, the latter containing a change of clothes so she could get out of the dress as soon as dinner was done with; and then she uncorked the already opened bottle of Pinot Blanc and set to pouring a glass about halfway full.
“You look like a houseplant.”
Karimi gritted her teeth at the sound of his voice and tipped the wine bottle again, filling the glass nearly to its rim. She glanced at Mihawk as she shoved the cork back into the bottle, as the warlord’s gaze passed pointedly from curly green hair hanging over one of her shoulders to her short green dress—and briefly down the length of her legs, just long enough for her face to heat up in irritation. Irritation, and absolutely nothing else. Karimi mimed the action, her own eyes remaining on the definition of his muscles visible between the open lapels of his shirt for a moment, before meeting his gaze.
“You look like an arrogant prick,” she said, and took a sip from her glass. “But what else is new.”
Quite handsome, isn’t he?
She turned away from him, leaning back against the table and rolling her eyes away from his piercing tallow gaze. No, He was an infuriating jerk, and nothing more.
“Oh, dear, am I—?” Karimi looked over as Kaya hurried into the foyer from the dining room, hurriedly untying an apron from around her waist and glancing at the clock. “I’m sorry I kept you waiting, I thought I’d try to help in the kitchen.”
“I would have helped, too,” said Karimi, frowning. She wasn’t necessarily the best cook, but she had learned more than enough to get by in the past six years on her own, in addition to the basics she had learned from her grandmother.
“Oh, no,” said Kaya, shaking her head as she hung her apron on the coat rack near the door. “You’re a guest here. Besides,” she went on as she pulled her platinum hair down from the ponytail it had been tied back into, “you were half-dead on your feet an hour ago. I’m surprised you even made it downstairs.”
“Ah, few glasses of water and a nice long soak in the tub and I’m right as rain,” said Karimi, waving a hand dismissively. It wasn’t entire true—she was sore all over, and the heels on her borrowed black pumps weren’t doing any favors for the ache and tightness of her calf muscles—but she had definitely endured much worse in far less favorable settings. She glanced behind her and picked up the open bottle of Pinot Blanc, giving it a light shake. “Wine?”
Kaya bit her lip a moment, hesitating. “Well, I…haven’t ever really…”
“Oh, then you have to,” said Karimi, setting her own glass down and pulling the cork from the bottle. She picked up an empty glass, “How else can we toast your newfound freedom from oppression?”
She chuckled a little at that. “Oh…fine, then. But not too much?” She glanced at Karimi’s overfull glass, lifting her eyebrows pointedly.
“Just a drop,” agreed Karimi, filling the glass just short of half-full before passing it over to Kaya.
“You shouldn’t overdo it, either,” said the younger girl, taking the glass with a small, concerned frown. “As much as you overexerted yourself earlier. I would hate to see you sick all night.”
“Oh, no,” Karimi laughed as she shoved the cork back into the bottle once more. ”If I managed to get sick after one glass of wine my grandmother would rise from her grave just to laugh in my face.”
Mihawk glanced over at that, as she and Kaya clinked their glasses together in their toast. This wasn’t the first time she had mentioned her grandmother—she had said in passing that the woman had perhaps trained her in haki, or at the very least used it herself to dampen Karimi’s devil fruit power.
Kaya saved him the trouble of pressing the subject himself after taking a small sip of wine. “Your grandmother sounds like quite an interesting woman,” she said, smiling. “You said she raised you?”
“Mmhmm,” hummed Karimi, through the swing of wine she had just taken the moment her grandmother was mentioned. Mihawk kept his eyes trained onto her face as she swallowed; onto her eyes, as she turned them downward for a moment.” Taught me everything she knew. She was a tough old broad. Wouldn’t be here without her.” She leaned back against the table, lifting her gaze again. “So what are we doing for dinner? I recall you mentioning you hadn’t been able to eat fish since your so-called illness,”
And just like that, as though it had never even been mentioned, the subject was a moot point. The way the girl evaded subjects she didn’t wish to discuss was practically artful, revealing just enough to allow her a chance to deter the asker in another direction. Regardless of how long she had spent on the sea, it was clear she had spent some great deal of time burying her past.
Throughout the dinner, and throughout the wine shared in the parlor after, Mihawk remained mostly silent. He spoke when spoken to, made niceties where necessary with their young host, but for the better part of it all he stayed at the desk in the parlor, quietly drafting out the contract and observing his new associate from the corner of his vision; gauging her interactions, observing how she spoke with and behaved around someone she considered herself friendly with.
Listening for discrepancies in her stories and claims.
It wasn’t long at all before Kaya turned in—though she was no longer actively being poisoned, her constitution was still far less than average, and she said she didn’t dare risk more than a small glass or two of wine. That left himself and Karimi alone in the parlor, left with Kaya’s insistence that they were welcome to enjoy the wine themselves.
“Oh, yeah, such enjoyable company…” Mihawk wasn’t surprised to hear his subordinate mutter under her breath once Kaya was out of the room. He sighed to himself and rolled his eyes toward the high ceiling, definitely not for the first time today.
“Have you always been such an insufferable brat?” he said irately, glaring over his shoulder at her. She scoffed in response, leaning back a bit further into the plush sofa and propping her boots up on the coffee table in front of her, looking more than a bit ridiculous with that tattered tricorne of hers contrasting so hideously with her off-shoulder green dress that he found himself resisting the urge to rip it from her head and toss it out the nearest window.
“Takes one to know one,” she said loftily.
He didn’t need to see her face to know the girl was smirking. It only irritated the warlord more that he found her remotely interesting—he could, and likely would, have killed her well before the day had drawn this near its end.
And yet, this did present the perfect opportunity to question her. “Do tell me.” He set his pen down lightly and pushed his chair away from the desk, standing slowly. “Six or eight?”
“Excuse me?” she said amid a sigh, swilling her wine glass around a little before taking a slow sip of the deep burgundy liquid.
“Eight,” he said, slowly approaching the back of the sofa, “or six? I recall you mentioned having six years’ experience on the sea…” He stopped just behind the sofa, crossing his arms as he looked down at her, her face concealed by that ridiculous hat, “and then saying it was eight a few hours earlier.”
“I said I have six years’ experience as a mercenary,” she corrected. “And eight at sea in total.”
“Then you didn’t jump straight into a life of murder for hire?” She gave another small sigh, this one of clear irritation. She swiped her hat off of her head and pinched at the bridge of her nose as she set it on the end table beside the arm of the couch, tilting her head back to look up at him.
“No,” she said firmly, “I didn’t.”
Her answers were as short as her small stature, as usual. She scowled a little when he lifted an eyebrow, lowering her head and her gaze from his once more as he spoke again. “And what were you doing those first two years?”
“I was with a crew.” She crossed her arms, and while she still lounged back in the couch, there was a small degree of tension in her voice, in the slight squaring of her shoulders. “We parted on decent enough terms, but I had my own plans and they had theirs. I haven’t been in contact with them since.”
“What crew?”
“No one important.”
Mihawk stared down at the girl for a long moment, his eyebrow still quirked. The way she deflected questions, his questions, without a flicker of discernible fear, still astounded him. He turned just enough to grab his wine glass from the desk behind him, giving a small scoff, a small shake of his head. “You either have nerves of steel or the intelligence of a thumbtack, little one,” he commented, and downed the last sip of his wine. He circled slowly around the sofa, to were the open bottle of cabernet sat upon the coffee table where her feet were propped up, slipped out of her black shoes and covered by dark nylon stockings.
Her eyes turned to him briefly in a glare, before she finished off her glass and tilted her head back, pointedly looking away from him.
His eyes remained on her, however.
The short, form-fitting dress accentuated her figure far better than her usual loose-fitting shirts and shorts, a figure was certainly easy on the eyes. His gaze drifted up the length of her slender legs covered in sheer dark nylon as he filled his glass; over the curve of her hip, the swell of her breasts and the slope of her bare shoulders as he set the bottle back down lightly. Perhaps part of it stemmed from the few glasses of wine he had consumed since dinner, but the thought passed through his mind that he wouldn’t object to having such a pretty little thing warming his bed that night.
He picked the wine bottle back up, his sharp eyes lingering on her neck as he rounded the side of the sofa again—more particularly, on the grizzly scar spanning across the pale skin, from her throat to perhaps an inch short of a major artery. He hadn’t noticed it before now, hadn’t really paid the mercenary’s appearance much mind, and the scar would have normally been shadowed by her thick hair and her chin.
Perhaps an inch further, and whatever blade had inflicted that scar may have also taken her life.
Interesting.
Karimi jumped slightly, glancing over sharply, when Mihawk tilted the bottle over the edge of her own glass where she had it resting at the arm of the sofa and refilled it himself. He set the bottle down on the end table by her hat, leaning against the sofa with an elbow draped over the back, the stem of his wine glass resting between his middle and index fingers, his eyes still glued to her neck.
She tensed when he reached out and brushed his knuckles across the soft skin, growing stiff as a statue and pulling in a sharp breath as they grazed lightly over the scar. “And what precisely,” he said, his voice low, almost intimate, “is the story behind this, little bird?”
“First and only time a Marine got a hold of me,” she said stiffly, gritting her teeth against the words.
And more interesting by the second—perhaps an explanation for why she so despised Marines, why she had grown more and more obviously uncomfortable the closer they drew to Garp’s ship earlier in the day.
“And where is this Marine now?” he inquired, his tone tinged with the slightest amusement at how some of her tension lifted the moment his touch moved away from her scar, a slow sigh parting her dark red lips. She closed her eyes as he brushed a few locks of her dark green hair behind her ear before lowering his hand back to his side.
She swallowed, and said, just as curtly, “Dead.”
“Your doing?”
“His own actions resulted in his death.”
“Hmm.” It wasn’t a real answer—of course it wasn’t. She might have killed him, or she might not have, and it seemed she had no intention of clarifying. That was fine for now, he decided, watching as she straightened her posture and took a long drink from her glass.
A little more wine and her tongue might begin to loosen.
She set her glass down on the end table, and his eyes followed the movement…and landed on that tattered old leather tricorne.
“And what of this eyesore?” He lifted the hat, turning it over in his hand, briefly taking in the patch on the front brim, two more on the back. “Looks as though it could use replacing—”
And in one quick and frankly graceful motion, Karimi was on her feet, one of her daggers drawn from her belt laying on the coffee table, the point of the blade poised just under his chin.
“Hands. Off,” she growled, snatching the hat away with her free hand, her emerald green eyes boring a deadly glare into his own gaze. For a long moment, he could only stare at the girl, utterly taken aback at her audacity as she shoved the hat back down onto the end table. Maybe the wine was already showing its effect on her, if she was stupid enough to physically threaten him.
He scoffed as his initial astonishment broke, shaking his head at her and setting his wine glass down lightly.
And then he grabbed hold of her wrist, twisting it aside with enough force that she winced in pain and dropped her dagger, where it landed with a muffled thud a few inches to the right of her foot.
Just as quickly as she had drawn her blade, Karimi was shoved down to the sofa—one of his knees held down both of her legs, one hand pinned both of her delicate wrists over her head and against the armrest. His other gripped the hilt of kogatana, pressing the flat of the blade against her neck, aligned with the scar already spanning across it. She swallowed, glancing down at the blade, before returning her gaze to his eyes—and while her stare remained defiant and her jaw set, there was the smallest flicker of fear evident in how her breathing quickened just a little.
Once more she swallowed as he leaned in closer, close enough that he could feel the warmth of her trembling sigh brush across his own lips, smell the wine on her breath, the wide brim of his hat casting a shadow over her face.
“You might find it in your best interest to never threaten me again, little bird.”
Despite his low and threatening tone, and despite the growing anxiousness in her emerald eyes, she kept up her act of defiance.
“Then don’t touch it,” she said through her teeth.
“Oh?” She drew in a slow quivering breath as he pressed the flat side of the blade a bit more firmly to the delicate skin of her neck. “In case you have forgotten already,” he said slowly, “for the next year you belong to me.” He lifted kogatana from her neck, turning the knife in his hand. She openly flinched as he brought it down toward her face, turning her head away slightly and finally breaking her gaze away from his. He smirked, and simply brushed a few strands of her hair away from her forehead with the edge of the blade. “You are in no position to be giving me orders.”
“Fine.” Though she still spoke through gritted teeth, her voice shook the slightest bit, and the rosy flush growing beneath her freckles seemed to be from more than just the alcohol she had consumed. “Then please don’t touch my hat, sir.”
Sarcastic, of course—Mihawk had more than expected that. It seemed to be her go-to defense mechanism, even in situations where it could get her into more trouble than it could pull her out of it. It was her obvious unease that was the true reward here. He gave a brief nod, pulling his blade back.
“Better.”
And with that he released her hands, standing from the sofa and straightening his hat as he strolled back over to the end table and lifted his wine glass again, taking a sip as he watched her draw in a deep breath and let it out as a slow sigh, her eyes closing for a moment. She swallowed, and stood abruptly herself.
Picked up her wine glass, downed it in a few gulps, and refilled it.
Retrieved her belt and satchel from the coffee table, her hat from the end table, her dagger from the floor, and glared straight into his eyes, her pale complexion still tinged with an almost scarlet flush.
“Good night,” she snapped.
And she stormed out of the parlor without another word or glance toward the warlord.

Yes, I do believe in a Redemption for MR. Puzzles [Rant]
This is a rant and opinion though, so don't take it too seriously. PV was evil yes, he tried to kill them, yes. I can't deny he was evil. But his story lines up a bit TOO well with 3's Both craved attention from the beginning/ were ignored/ was an outcast of some sort with an especial lack of friends. Then copied a show/movie, a thing they saw as a way to entertain the masses normally at the time. They are then opposed for this and outshined in a climatic battle which includes them using some sort of magic that gives them control. (The remote vs the ratings and PV's own remote) They both ALMOST kill someone, successfully landing a hit on any given crew member WITHOUT killing them (PV shot Luigi, turning him into Luigi the Meat Mallet, SMG3 shoots Meggy, causing her to sing). it having a different effect. When they are finally defeated, they are banished to a far away area. So if 3 got a redemption...why can't Mr. Puzzles? Bonus: They both had a cast they did not treat fairly. (The Anti-Crew for SMG3) Mr. Puzzles is a redeemable character, you just have to give him friends. Think about it. During IGBP the only reason 4 didn't continue with the perfect video while spiraling is because SMG3, his friend, helped him with emotionally driven words. Same with Meggy, she would have lost it if not for Tari, her friend, calming her down. The problem here, is Mr. Puzzles, as mentioned in his song ("Our scene opens on a little Mr. Puzzles! Now cut to him having no friends. It was a struggle to find anybody who could be my buddy!") Had no friends, hence him constantly referring to the cast as "My friends" and having his ego (as seen in the "You handsome devil you." scene.) His ego is derived from having no one to compliment him (at least most likely) Because 'If no one will tell me I did well, then why not do it myself?' is a mindset some people have. On the contrary this means there's no one to tell him what he is doing is wrong, I mean seriously you can't convince me if he DID have friends they would have just let him cut his head off, or at least have noticed his unhealthy behavior. So for 4 to literally Home Run slam this Twink of a TV into next Sunday was kinda out of character and mean IMO?? I mean after IGBP and understanding a wish for perfection for an audience? Anyways thanks for reading my rant (if you did.) This is my tired little hyperfixated brain talking, I'll go back to drawing.

“you two can’t even tell good and evil apart.”
“doesn’t that guy piss you off, mimiko?”
“nanako, want me to hang him?” the brunette holds her rope tight around the dummy’s neck.
her sister, annoyed by the assistant’s words, hisses. “you guys don’t even know how sorcerers like us are treated in the shitty countryside that doesn’t show up on maps. you do all the good and evil you want. but for us, if geto-sama says so, then black is white and white is black. we believe in the world he sees; and we will hang everybody who gets in the way!” she threatens and they both take their combat positions, ready to strike when, suddenly, footsteps echo through the empty alleyway.
“cut it out, you three.” wind blows though silky hair and a perfume they all recognize takes over the air as all of their faces drop. “don’t bother, ijichi, they’re just as stubborn as their dad.” a smile glides across your lips, but disappears just a few moments later. “ew, my pants are stained with curse juice.”
“mom?” “y/n-san?” they gasp at the same time, and ijichi’s head turns back so fast you could swear you heard his neck snap.
“ ‘mom’ ? y/n-san, what’s going on?” he asks, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
“that’s a long story i’ll tell you only if you promise not to snitch to the higher-ups.” you grin at him, patting him on his shoulder as you pass by. “don’t worry, i’m not switching sides.” you reassure, and hear him sigh in relief.
with the speed of light, the twins rush towards you, embracing you in a warm hug.
“miko, please don’t hang my friend, yeah? and you, young lady, what did we talk about, try to be a little less hostile!” you scold, ruffling their hair a little rougher than usual. then, a crash startles all four of you.
“miguel? what the hell are you doing!” the light-brunette shouts, rolling her eyes once the man’s ironic response reacher her ears.
“ugh, ” you can only do the same, brows furrowing when another familiar face pops up, “satoru, pipe down! and pleaaaaase try to not kill him!” you shout to grab gojo’s attention, dragging out the plead.
“when you ask me so nicely, i guess i can make an exception for you, bestie boo!” he shrugs, winking with his only uncovered eye.
ignoring the antics that you’re so used to, your attention falls back on the girls.
“you two, ” you start, clapping your hands closed and dragging your right hand as to conjure a katana. then, you scrape a circle with it in the cobblestone, “i’ll teleport you somewhere safe, i don’t like where this is going, and i gotta clean up some of the curses suguru let loose around here. be careful, i love you.” you wave as a big fire sphere rushes up from the ground, building a barrier between you. before the girls can say anything else, they disappear completely. “ijichi, text me the date and time and i’ll be there. gotta get to kusakabe as soon as i can or he may need to get his diaper changed.”
you laugh, dissipating into a puddle of black, while your underclassman still can’t believe what he’s witnessed.

you know that what you’re about to do is rash and irrational, and possibly clearly also considered treachery in the jujutsu world. the fact that nobody had already caught wind of what you were up to was and still is in itself a miracle, but you could narrow it down to them thinking you were still grieving; and truth be told, you still kind of were, trying to do it the best you could. healing fresh wounds is never easy and recovering from a break-up that didn’t directly happen is sometimes like trying to sew shut a deep wound with cotton thread.
and that’s what kept you going in the most excruciating year of your life: your wounds deserve to close properly, and it is within your right to be able to run your fingers across your skin, without fearing they’ll plunge deep into your chest and dreading to take them out knowing they’ll be covered in blood and the smell of a broken heart.
so you step, determined and furious to get your cause across. you bang your fists on the big door, and a chubby man of middle age greets you at the entrance.
“what’s your name? do you have an appointment?” he questions, and you answer with the same western bullshit name you gave when you rang them up to book said ‘appointment’. he turns a few pages in his clipboard and finally his face lights up.
“yes, please, come in!” his arm is stretched out in a gentlemanly manner, signaling for you to enter. and you do, something bubbling in the pit of your stomach. excitement? no, that’s almost impossible. hate? hurt? the wish for vengeance you have so obsessively dreamed about? you’re not sure about any of those. when you step into the room, though, you feel nervous. like you’re walking on the thin glass shards of your broken youth — the one that got spat and shat on by the same world that made geto spiral into his madness — stolen mercilessly by the greediness of the higher-ups.
“geto-sama will come in shortly!” he explains, and you gather all your composure to ensure you won’t vomit right then and there.
“he calls himself geto-sama now?” you wonder, and although you haven’t said it out loud, the title still leaves a bitter feeling on your tongue. you imagine maybe that’s what curses taste like to suguru.
“welcome, miss— oh.“ full of confidence he struts from behind two curtains, and when he sees you, his gaze softens and you swear you can catch a glimpse of the boy you lost an autumn ago. “it’s so nice to see you, y/n!” he calls out and picks up his pace, almost rushing to you. “i’m so glad it’s not one of those monkeys! sometimes i get nauseous from seeing them all the time!” he face-palms, then beams, and takes your hands in his, leaving a kiss on your temple, lastly pulling you close to him like he always did, even before he vanished.
you think you’re going to be sick again, watching him act all nonchalant and normal, as if nothing has happened. “how dare he?” you think, feeling the anger pierce your stomach walls, and settling in your throat. how can he act like this? like you’re still high-school sweethearts, like he’s just come back from a mission and you’re standing at the school gates, ready to welcome him back. your brain almost freezes, heart urging you to stay like that, but mind screaming at you to pull away from him.
so, against your heart’s wishes, you tear away from him. “monkeys? that’s what you call them now, suguru?” you click your tongue in annoyance, a habit he knows you have whenever you’re about to get petty. “what happened to civilians, non-sorcerers, humans, people?” you ask, blank face staring daggers into his soul.
“my love, they’re all just monkeys.” your once-lover says with the same nonchalance, “don’t bother being all so formal with them. they can’t even use jujutsu, like we do, so—“ before he can say anything else, you cut him off, something similar to a mix of anger and sadness in your voice.
“don’t call me that, suguru.” your voice cracks a little, eyebrows furrow and your heartbeat picks up its pace, and you think maybe your legs are going to give out on you any minute now. “i’m not here to play happy family reuinted.” you almost choke on your words. “i—”
“geto-sama!!! geto-sama!!!” a panicked, feminine voice comes from behind the curtains, and soon enough, two young girls emerge from them. one has light brown hair, the other’s is a little darker than shoko’s. they can’t be older than 6, 5 if you dare to overthink. the former is dragging her sister by her hand, and the latter is holding a plushy tight against her chest, stumbling here and there.
“what’s wrong, you two?” he asks gently, crouching down to their level. you remember how he used to speak to you the same whenever you came back from a mission sad or displeased and your heart drops at how easy it is to break down your walls and have memories growing like ice flowers in the archives you vouched to burn off your mind.
“mimiko—“ her gaze averts to you and ricochets into the ground, small figure balancing from foot to foot as she apologizes, “oh, i’m sorry for interrupting.”
when you look at them, you can’t help but smile. they look so… sweet. so innocent. what are they doing here? “that’s alright, you don’t have to pardon yourself, it seemed urgent.” with a motherly sympathy you didn’t know you held within you, you explain. with the corner of your eye, you see a smile bloom on geto’s face.
“ohmygod!” the same one calls out to her sister in a not-so-subtle whisper. “that’s the lady whose picture geto-sama has! the one he told us about!”
“nanako… you can’t say that when she’s in front of us… it’s rude.” mimiko half-heartedly scolds her sister.
you can’t help the blush from creeping up your cheeks or the laugh from escaping your lips.
“y/n, these are nanako and mimiko.” suguru explains and nudges them forward. “girls, this is y/n, but you already knew.” he smiles again, abstaining himself from laughing at his own semi-bad joke. “they’re…” he continues. “they’re my epiphany, the reason i left the useless jujutsu world and started to make my own.”
you try to ignore the last part of his introduction and his sickeningly smug grin, and you crouch down too, in order to observe them from closer proximity. “nice to meet you both.” you say, warmly, and touch the floor with your hand. a puddle of black forms around it and you awkwardly rummage through the void. soon enough, you pull out two candy-bars.
“i hope you two like macadamia nuts and chocolate. unfortunately it’s all i have right now.” you apologize with a sheepish smile, handing them the sweets. they look at geto to seek approval, and when he nods enthusiastically, they accept your gift with lots of giggles and bright grins.
suguru’s heart skips a beat before it melts. he really is touched you’re showing his daughters so much kindness, but he’s even happier he sees the same candy-bars you ate in high school. he feel nostalgic, even though he knows it’s only been a year. but just like in his case, he thought a year might have been significant change for you too.
the tender moment is interrupted by knocking on the door. “geto-sama, i’m terribly sorry to disturb, but your next appointment is here.” an assistant calls out, and geto is visibly annoyed.
“tell them to wait for a little bit. we’re still not ready to wrap up.” he commands, outside going silent instantly. “i am so sorry to cut this short, y/n.” he says, admitting regret, “you are welcome to drop by any time you want. and you don’t have to use a fake name.” he’s hopeful now, he’s even more confident, and he steps closer to you.
but as if you two are magnets of the same polarity, your body forces you to take a step back. his gaze saddens and something like despair flashes briefly across his face. it almost reads like “please come by again. please.” almost like a desperate plead.
“i’ll see.” is the only response you can give before turning around and heading to the door. before you open it, you look back at the three of them. “nanako, mimiko, it was nice to meet you.” you say, softness for the two canceling out whatever uncomfortable feelings you had before.
“you too, y/n-sama! please come by again!” they both say back, waving as you leave the room. a peculiar tickle renders your body almost perplexed when you hear the honorific.
you navigate through the temple like you’re trying to find the exit of a maze, but when you’re outside, you take a deep breath of fresh air. your hand travels up to wipe the shells of the tears forming in your eyes and you swear you can smell the blood that’s gushing from your still unclosed wounds, sewn again with cotton thread.
“they’re my epiphany.”
they’re his epiphany.
you replay the scene in your head, and feel desperate the more you chant the mantra, as if your ego has not only been broken, but sanity stripped away from you. then, your thoughts are broken by your phone ringing. flipping up the cover, you try to play everything off as normal.
“shoko?” you say, “is everything alright?”
“i should be the one asking you that.” her tone is sharp, “is everything alright with you, y/n?” it softens, and like a dam about to break lose, you sniffle and answer out.
“no.” it’s clear, it’s there, you said it. you don’t have to pretend.
“come over. i miss having my girl around.” she says, and you giggle.
“you’re lucky i’m in the area. i’ll be there in fifteen, girlfriend. and stop talking to me like im one of your hoes.”
she just laughs manically before ending the call. you smile, and go.

10.04.2009
you don’t know for sure if whatever you feel against nanako and mimiko is compassion or pity. or maybe hatred, sometimes disguised as jealousy. but ever since geto said that, there is this little voice in the back of your head that keeps playing the same sentence, like your mind’s a broken record.
“he chose them over you.”
“he chose them over you.”
“he chose them over you.”
“he chose them over you.”
“he chose them over you.”
you’re not sure how to feel. they’re kids. they’re young, they didn’t coax him into starting this. maybe they were just caught in the crossfire, you like to guess. maybe they were the last straw.
or maybe, you were simply not good enough, which, in all honesty, was hard to accept. being a special-grade sorcerer that came from nothing isn’t easy. someone’s always on your back, refusing to get off; from the higher-ups to one’s parents. it’s hard to live up to pre-made expectations, and carry burdens on an already-cracked spine, but you’ve always been strong — so strong even gojo pissed his pants sometimes — so what happened? what made him resort to this?
finally, after looking through the things he left behind in his room, you came to understand geto didn’t leave because he wanted to, he left because that was what it came to. and slowly, you accepted that the twins really were nothing more than two girls caught in a crossfire, that geto somehow saved. his last mission, it must’ve been excruciating, he must’ve seen hell in its true form (again) or death itself in front of him (for the third time) when he went to that village and slaughtered it mercilessly.
that was actually the case, as you come to learn. after six months you build up the courage to visit again, this time unannounced, this time without a purpose. you were sure it’d be left unserved anyway, like the last one. so, when suguru welcomes you into the room once more, you make small talk. and ask about his life, sometimes trying not to gag when he makes disgusting remarks about “monkeys”.
and voluntarily, he tells you the girls’ story after they fall asleep on your lap, dead exhausted thanks to the running around they did. you learn their past, and see something ignite in suguru that makes you think. if you had been there, would you have done the same? would you have stopped him, or joined him? he did nothing wrong, he killed abusers. he killed people that beat two defenseless children, something he shouldn’t have been persecuted for, you thought. this whole monkey thing, tough, something else, another story. but maybe, just maybe had somebody heard him out, he wouldn’t be staying across from you dressed in robes but instead you would’ve been sitting in an apartment you bought with all the money you saved up, all four of you cradled next to the other watching tv with the volume off as to not wake up the sleeping girls. and maybe, just maybe, satoru would have found the fushiguro-zen’in boy and his sister that he’s so serious on finding and they’d come over and play together, while you, shoko and sometimes utahime and mei gossip on the couch and suguru, satoru, nanami and ijichi hang out in the kitchen.
if it weren’t for your teenage heart and forgiving soul, you wouldn’t have begged geto to consider your idea.
“i can try and negotiate a deal for you.” you’re serious, and not about to give up, no matter what he says. “i’ve been taking extra missions, suguru. they like me, they started to value my opinion in the last two years.” you say, and your eyes gloss over when you look at him.
“y/n…” he sighs. “this is my choice. i’m content living like this.”
you break a little.
“don’t say that suguru. it’s not too late, you know? i can vouch for you, i can make sure nanako and mimiko are safe, if that’s what you’re actually concerned about. i will take extra shifts, i will fight for you.” you start to crack and chip off at the edges. “in the end, you did nothing wrong killing those villagers, but that’s something they’re just gonna look away from because you killed non-sorcerers. hateful, filthy, non-sorcerers that deserved their fate.” you say, gritting and swearing behind teeth, jaw clenched and breathing like your lungs are glued together.
suguru always liked your sense of justice. it was always strong, defined, your moral compass was as clear as the sky on the first day you were transferred to jujutsu high. it was refreshing to see someone like you, that fought, no matter what; that gave herself up for the cause she wanted to prove. you would’ve killed yourself if it meant judgement had been served correctly, and even if it meant losing yourself on the way, you loved standing up for what was right. you’d tear at yourself so everybody could be happy. and he could see it in your eyes, the way they shine with the beauty of a thousand galaxies and the passion of a hundred suns, radiating hope, even after all that you’ve been through. you’re hope, you’re love, you’re light, ready to sacrifice herself just so others could grasp that spark even for a little while. ah, as long as…, like you said in your heydays, cigarette between teeth as geto lit it for you, shoko boo’d in the background and satoru annoyed nanami but entranced haibara, holding the world in your hands, ready to blast another wall, to save another soul, to make another life-source. you were temperance and the tower all in one, the embodiment of balanced destruction, the origin of damaged harmony. you ate, chewed and spit yourself out so everyone could see that you were raw — you were like them — you were all the same, kids with power and jobs too big for ages that didn’t even bloom correctly yet.
but this time, he can’t let you do that. you can’t be his divine intervention anymore, you can’t make a catastrophe of your life just to build his anew. he had chosen his way the day he committed mass murder, roots of his goal planted deep inside his hatred for non-sorcerers, and it was far too late to go back, no matter what you said or could have said or say, his life is now with his cult. and he looks at you, with his girls cradled in your lap and wonders of the life you could have had, had amanai’s death not taken such a toll on him. he never told you, but he wanted you to meet her. she would’ve absolutely adored you, no doubt, and vice-versa.
sometimes he wakes up in the morning and you’re not next to him and then he imagines it too: a little house in meguro, and he’d wake up at the crack of dawn and look at you sleeping peacefully beside him, then he’d get up and cook breakfast. he envisions evening walks in spring, when the cherry blossoms bloom, and nanako and mimiko running wildly along the river banks, and you shouting after them to be careful. his heart swells with what if’s and maybe’s but he remembers that in his world, he can achieve that. and he doesn’t have to worry about any of you three being in danger either.
you feel the need to change the topic. you feel the regret floating around in the air — you feel the wound you tried to sew shut so many times miserably — and it reeks of fresh blood and sweet tea and plum blossoms and the winter he confessed his feelings.
“let me help you get them to bed.” you smile, and he reciprocates. he takes nanako from your lap softly as not to disturb her sleep, and guides you to their room.
you find yourself kissing their foreheads as if they’re your daughters, as if you hadn’t met them only two times in your life, and suguru finds himself too close to you. you think he’s too close to you too, but right now, in this shit you’ve dragged yourself into, you don’t care at all anymore.
so you kiss him, you lift yourself up on your toes enough for him to already know what you’re doing and to bend down. electricity sparks and you see yourself in the middle of snowy shibuya crossing yet again, people going on about their day while you pour your hearts out to the other silently, carnally, with chapped lips falling against each other, devouring the curse of love with gluttony, and freezing hands tangled in the intimacy of two sixteen year olds dumb enough to think they’re able to write their own destiny.
that’s why you continue to visit. in the rest of 2009, 2010, 2011, and so on. between what you lost that you never even had, and the brief moment of serenity of feeling like a family with geto and the girls, you finally feel like you have something to live for.
it goes without saying that it still frightened you — if anyone were to find out where you were going, who you were going to — they all may have been put in danger. but the moment the big, wooden door to the temple opens and two smiley faces jump into your arms while the boyfriend you never had the guts to break up with greets you sweetly, all the worry dissipates. you were not there “to play happy family reunited”, you had found a family. and as twisted life had layed itself out for geto, maybe yours wasn’t that far from it either.
so, once a month you come, with gifts, with candy, with love and worry and whatnot. you’re there to see the twins grow up, sometimes you help suguru cut their hair, to navigate through all the stages of girlhood you experienced too — well, almost all, since it’s kind of hard to give them really everything when their dad is a wanted mass murderer in a world over half of the population doesn’t even know exists. but you’re there, and you’re happy when you’re with them. they’re your sun.
and it goes like that for years, you come, you laugh, and you leave. sometimes before you leave, geto kisses you chastely, and sometimes more, which means you stay the night, and he partially sees his dream come true the next morining; and he loves it, he can’t wait to get it done, but he feels guilty. guilty for the plan he’s come up with and guilty knowing you’re gonna be on the opposite side, no matter what.
when the girls turn eight, they start calling you ‘mom’, to your and geto’s surprise. but they like it, and honestly, so do you and so does their dad. it’s random, but it feels natural, it feels warm. suguru’s heart sinks, and he thinks he can keep his plan hidden and pushes it back a few more years, until he can’t anymore. so, on the twins’ eleventh birthday, a beautiful day of 2013, it’s the last time you come. you try to talk him out of it, but no matter how many pleads and promises and compromises, his decision is still the one he told you. that day, when you leave and look back with a fake smile at the kids waving at you from the door, the wind feels sharper on your face and the air is definitely colder than what it was supposed to ever be. you go to the bar and drown out your sorrows, glass after glass after glass after glass after glass until you’re numb. and even in the numbness, there’s still an aching pain, like a scorching dagger has been stabbed through your heart, burning the skin and muscle and everything in between on its way to bring you down. you wonder if that’s what curses feel when they’re exorcised.
so, while nanako and mimiko ask about you and why their mom isn’t coming anymore, you bury yoursef in work. you kill, you start to teach, you do paperwork. satoru comes over sometimes and when you look at him, you can only cry. shoko comes over more than sometimes, and when you look at her you can also only cry. they both hug you and sometimes cry with you too: a pity party. nanami writes to you a lot, and when you read his messages you also cry. sometimes you go to visit him, and he looks at you with a disgusting look. he knows you haven’t broken records these past few months because of your love for jujutsu, but because of the hate you bear for it. his heart shatters seeing his senior like this. so, he pours you tea and gets you the cookies you always loved, stashed next to a framed picture of you three — you, him and haibara.
kento always thought you were like glue. you kept everyone together. and although him and yu were only your juniors, you made them feel like they were your brothers. you brought together the jujutsu world so closely, you made it seem like it could work, until nobody was there to help you, even though you tried so hard. it was like a mirage, but so closely and delicately conjured one could swear it was real — maybe that was your true domain expansion — and you would’ve killed yourself if that meant it’d be kept intact, and you kind of did, because at the price of your own well-being, you took care of the others. you worked overtime so gojo had less missions to go on, helped nanami get out of jujutsu and welcomed him right back with open arms and broken heart that still needed mending desperately, and helped shoko with med school until she decided she’d just cheat herself into getting her eligibility.
and you’re a wreck, so you browse pictures in your phone of you, suguru and the girls, you frame them but keep them away from the world’s eyes, god knows who may find them and put you on death-row too. you look at them and feel like you’re mourning geto a second time around, but this time you’re also mourning.. your kids. the kids who called you mom, who sometimes called you up at night when they had some “girl problems” they couldn’t tell suguru right off the bat, the girls that asked you to sew their ripped clothes, and who watched you and geto do that side by side.
you didn’t understand how suguru came to that conclusion, to push you away for good. you never tried to erase his ideology from the girls’ minds, you simply mothered them. you loved them, trained them, you loved him, so what was up with him?
geto feels miserable too. he lost you once, and now he’s lost you twice. he’s rougher with his monkeys, he feels like he’s mourning once again too. and when he looks at nanako and mimiko he cannot stop his heart from ripping apart. they look at pictures of you. every single day, there’s not one that passes when he doesn’t want to call you and tell you to come back. to be the glue, to love him and his daughters, to make them laugh and jump and smile and make him feel warm and fuzzy inside all again. for the first time in his life, he has doubts about his dream world, because when he looks at the once so cheerful duo, sad while holding your picture, and when he remembers the tears in your eyes and how you wiped them away quickly when they came to hug you goodbye, he wants to kill himself like you always did for your cause. he wants to make the devil chew him and spit him out for forgetting you are just like him too — flesh, bones, and misery.
so, for once in his new life, geto does something he never thought he would do — he compromises. exactly 364 days after he forbids you from coming by again, he tells the twins they can go out in the world and enjoy their life. maybe they’ll go looking after you, he thinks, he hopes, and he sees their faces light up and they see his do the same. “but don’t talk to monkeys when it’s not necessary!” he orders, no, he asks. he can’t order his children around.
and mimiko and nanako go out in the world, alone, for the first time, the following day. geto asks them to buy any cake they want, to celebrate for when they come back. so they head to the bakery that breached the barriers of what they knew, once every thirty days: they mostly knew the universe geto had created for them, and once a month came clashing down an asteroid, with flowers, sweets and everything the cult didn’t really have, their mother.
so, after almost getting lost thrice on the metro, when they enter the minimalist store they searched on google maps because they kept a cardboard box of sweets you once brought over, and see your tired figure, tears in your eyes as you mouth and explain the kanji of their name to the lady with the piping bag in her hand, their eyes swell and they can only weakly sob “mom..?”, unsure if it’s actually you or a mirage.
when your head snaps in the direction of the door and you see the two kids you missed so badly in a year, you stare at them blankly. you’re afraid to get close to them, thinking maybe they’re just a shadow created by the months of exhaustion, but when mimiko asks if you remember them, you break down crying, embracing them while they weep on your shoulder too. “how could i not?” you stifle between sniffles and feel them hug you even tighter. it’s almost like movie scene, and even the cashier is on the verge of tears.
when you pull away, you’re all red-eyed and stuffy-nosed, hair a mess and hearts clammy. “let me pay for the cake first, and we can go to my place, yes?” you say and they both nod like they did when you weren’t quite as closely acquainted yet.
“we also have to buy a cake..” nanako says, “could you help us?”
you don’t hesitate and pull them to the refrigerator to chose. “what was the one you always bought?” mimiko asks, heart thumping in her chest. “well, it’s the one i have over there, but they’re actually order-only.” you say, eyeing the cake, sad. the twins bite their lips and scan whatever’s left in the display window.
“excuse me,” the lady jumps in, trying to regain composure too “we have cupcakes with that same filling, if it’s any better!” she says, “and they’re 20 percent off if you buy more than 10! and 50 for more than twenty!”
“then we’d like 24 of them, please.” you say, twins’ faces dropping.
“24? isn’t that too much?” nanako chokes out, and her sister giggles a bit at her expression.
“not at all, no, no!” you reassure, patting their heads. “and don’t even dare to pay me back.” you half-heartedly threaten when the other one reaches into her pocket to take out her wallet. “put it back, miko.”
and so, you get to patch up your heart a little bit. you buy them candles, and they blow them on the cupcakes, and take pictures and laugh about whatever.
and it was like this a lot, because whenever they came over to yours they begged you to tell them about your teenage years and show them everything you did. and, because you couldn’t bring yourself to throw away the years of beauty you had documented on film and paper, you showed them everything, accompanied by cups of tea from porcelain haibara bought you from missions he went on, and cakes and biscuits and all the snacks they asked for (thank god you always kept some stashed for satoru).
pictures of you, satoru, suguru, shoko, nanami, haibara, mei and utahime. they were all there — immortal in the plastic of the polaroids and untouchable in the albums — and no one could steal away those precious moments. you showed them pictures of every kind, going on missions and late night hang-outs in your dorms, they gasped at the sight of geto smoking and laughed at the hairstyles you did on him. in the span of weeks and months of two years, you showed them the person you had fallen in love with, and the friends that welcomed you with open arms in tokyo.
of course they were especially keen on pictures of you and geto, fangirling over the “couple pictures”, the ones shoko took of you both when you weren’t watching and later on gave to you. you showed them satoru’s first hangover, and how their dad held his hair back as he was vomiting his hollow purple into the toilet, and the selfie you and shoko took, a little less hungover, leaning against the stalls.
you showed them videos of you all rehearsing your techniques and geto protecting nanami from gojo’s annoying teenage ass.
you took them to disneyland and rode with them on all the rollercoasters they wanted, and took so many photos you bought nanako a picture-only phone. each of you hung them up in your homes, and sometimes suguru stumbled upon the girls’ pictures when he went into their room, and cried over your portrait upon seeing you in a winnie the pooh headband almost identical to the one he wore when he first took you there in high school.
and although, physically, it weren’t four of you gathered around the table anymore, you still laughed together and you felt free, until 2017 came along.
it was maybe early november when you got the call from satoru, away on business in sapporo. it sounded urgent, and first and foremost, he sounded scared. not frightened, but rather desperate, like he didn’t know what to do. therefore, on your first day back in tokyo, you went to see him.
“just rip the bandaid off, satoru.” you say, gently.
“geto has declared war on us.”
you’re left dumbfounded, tea cup shaking in your hand. you can only blink, awaiting gojo to say more. to give you more information.
“he came by the day i called you. said he’d unleash a thousand curses in kyoto and shinjuku on christmas eve. wanted yuta to join him and belittled maki.”
you put down your cup, head resting in your palms. it feels like a bad dream. you knew what to expect of him, that sooner or later he’d act on his crazy dreams of a non-sorcerer free world, but hoped it would be a lot later than this.
“was he alone?” you ask, gojo’s face making a funny look.
“no, two girls that wanted to eat crepes on takeshita and a shirtless guy.” he explains, “why do you ask?”
this time, you lie to him. you can’t let him know you’ve committed treachery for almost a decade now. “then we should also expect some counter-attack from them, not just some curses running loose.” you explain, and gojo nods approvingly.
“you’re right. we should be careful then, especially with the managers.” he says, and you only bob your head a ‘yes’. “y/n” his voice softens, and round shades peel from his face, “don’t do this to yourself.” he crouches down next to you, hand caressing your shoulder. when he feels your muscles tense, he welcomes you with open arms and you cry on his shoulder for a good ten minutes. when he feels you’ve calmed down, he unlocks his phone and dials a number. it doesn’t ring for long, and he speaks, “hey, emo girl. come over. we’re having a reunion.” he laughs, “y/n’s sad, so you do the maths on how manny bottles you bring.” he says, regretting instantly. “wait, don’t you think five is too much, shoko? hello? shoko? agh, fuck you, girl.” you laugh, and so does he, stroking your back once more. “everything’s gonna be okay, babygirl.”
“dont you ever call me that again.”
the next day, you wake up with your phone blowing up, next to shoko, in gojo’s bed. “answer the fucking phone already.” she groans, and you do, but not before kicking her side.
“yes?” without even looking at the caller id you speak, head spinning from all the alcohol (two bottles and a half, each) and voice hoarse from the packs of cigarettes each one of you smoked the previous night. (three, each.) there goes shoko’s quitting.
“mom? you’re not answering the door, are you okay?” nanako speaks from the other side and you instantly jump out of bed, startling your friend.
“i’ll be there in… fifteen. please wait.” you say and hang up after hearing a positive answer.
you dart from the apartment, hugging gojo on your way out, explaining something came up.
you drive through the city with the speed of light, getting home not just in time, but seven minutes early, and the twins hug you when you see them. when they sit you down on the couch to tell you something, your heart sinks, because you can already feel what it is.
“geto-sama declared war on the college last week.” the fawn haired admits, and the other just looks down at the ground.
“i know.” is all you say, trying to hold back tears.
“we’re really sorry. and if you don’t want to see us again, it’s alright, we, we get it.“ mimiko says, words pulled out of her mouth with prongs, almost unable to finish her sentence.
“don’t you ever think something like that.” you snap, dam breaking behind your eyes. “i saw you all this time despite not agreeing with suguru’s ideology, but you’re still my kids too, you know? i have also done some parenting these last ten years.”
it’s bittersweet, and they feel it too, and they cry too, because from being rescued by suguru to seeing the stranger lady walk into their temple every month and showing them the kindness only geto ever did, you became their mother. you stuck by them, always looking over your shoulder whenever you visited them and taking extra precautions whenever they visited you. you were their asteroid, you were their world, and although geto hurt you, not once, but twice, you still loved him and them like you were there when he saved them.
and they always saw the broken youth and undreamt dreams that hid behind your eyes, so motherly, so tender and reassuring albeit living no better than a fugitive. their lives were less stressful than yours, because you sacrificed yourself to come see them. maybe out of fear of losing geto yet again, or denial, but whatever you may have feared, you always put your little beautifully broken and beloved family above all else, bravely so.
“just promise me you’ll both be careful.” is all you say before they collapse in your arms. and you stand there, reeking of alcohol and cigarettes and the blood of the wound you thought closed up.
“we will, no matter what.”

you walk into jujutsu high and can’t believe your eyes. you’re tired from killing curses and giving kusakabe a pep-talk every ten minutes, but you don’t think this is all in your mind: smashed cobblestone, holes in the ground. and blood, lots of blood.
you run into the infirmary, shoko’s door flying open as she lets out a half-scream.
“what’s your problem?” she asks, partly annoyed.
“i’m sorry for worrying about my students after i babysat a grown man all day.” you reply, and she laughs, “atsuya again, huh? too bad he’s actually talented, that crybaby persona gets too much somtimes. they’re all safe, yuta used rct on them, but gojo wants to talk to you.” she says.
“is he in the common lobby?” you ask, and she nods approvingly.
when you enter the room, you feel a chill creep up your spine. satoru is still, way too still.
“y/n.”
“satoru.”
he gulps down saliva before asking you the question. “did suguru have daughters?” he says, and you answer, mindless.
“yeah, he has tw—“ then it dawns on you. “satoru?” he sees it too. in the small crack of your voice, some glass shards hitting the linoleum. “satoru, don’t tell me,” you’re on the verge of tears. your throat is dry, stomach doing flips. “oh my god.” you gasp, legs turning into sand, and he rushes to catch you.
“he told me to take care of the three of you, and i didn’t understand and i thought about the crepe girls and then you of course and.. you and.. i… i’m sorry, y/n. i didn’t want it to end like this.” he spits out word after word, boulder rolling off his shoulder, letting himself cry in your embrace.
“no one did, satoru. i’m never gonna blame you for his death, yeah?” your eyes start to water too. he’s still the boy that lost his best friend, you’re still the girl that lost her boyfriend, shoko is still the one that lost a best friend, and you’re all three still teenagers, waiting for someone to guide you through the loss.
you stand like that for a while, until you both calm down.
“thank you.” gojo satoru, the strongest, smiles through tears he’d only ever shown a handful of people.
“thank you, boywonder.” you smile through tears you’d only ever shown a handful of people.
“i have to talk to yaga.” he runs a hand through his hair, exhaling shakily before hugging you goodbye.
you sit down in your chair and watch the sun set. through the window, maki, yuta, panda and inumaki wave at you. you reciprocate, thankful they’re still alive, when all of a sudden your phone rings.
“mom?” the moment you answer, mimiko’s voice cracks on the other end. she usually isn’t one to call, so you’re guessing you know what this is about.
“i’m coming.” you say between your own small shallow breaths, waving the students goodbye through the window once again. you make another quick phone call before leaving campus.
“yes?”
“megumi, gojo’s had a rough day and i can’t spend time with him tonight. shoko also has to do overtime at the morgue. can you keep him company for a bit?”
he sighs. “yeah, i will.”
“thank you.”
“sensei… take care. you’re a great sorcerer…and a great person. just felt like you needed to hear that.”
“thank you, megumi. you too, kiddo.”

“you know this was reckless, yeah?”
“we’re sorry for keeping you in the dark so long. it’s just — we knew you would’ve stopped us if we told you kenjaku took over geto-sama’s body, and we really want him to have a proper burial.” the brunette clutches her phone to her chest, eyes fixed on the ground.
“we didn’t mean to keep you in the dark so long, but you were already grieving geto-sama for the second time. we didn’t think you’d find out like you did.” mimiko apologizes too, and even though they stand in front of you, apologizing for the biggest mistake they have ever made, you can’t scold them. not when they thought about you, about easing your pain.
“you guys did a stupid thing, that’s all i’m gonna say.” the pause and sigh you take between sentences make them want to burry themselves into the ground, “but i’m not mad, because you did it with good intent.” your voice softens and their gazes come up, meeting your face. “i’m gonna help you, but please wait until i come back.”
their faces lighten as you stroke their hair, stopping when your phone rings.
“ijichi? itadori? alone? shibuya? what’s he doing there? he’s supposed to be in harajuku station with mei ” they read between the words, knowing exactly who this itadori is, “i can’t, i really have enough curses to fight, the meiji-jingu area by itself is packed.” you apologize with gritted teeth and exhausted breath, “i’ll enter the curtain when i’m done, and send you guys some back-up,yeah?”
you look at the twins again, wanting to instinctively crouch down to their level, but they’ve gotten too tall for that. “please, don’t go out. and if you do, be careful, and stay safe. don’t do anything rash.” you say, embracing them both. “i love you two so much.” you hold onto them a bit longer than usual, kissing their cheeks before unlocking the door.
“we love you too.” they say in unison, and smile.
“be careful, yeah? lock the door after i teleport.”
“always.” is the last thing you hear before disappearing.

“come on, pick up, pick up, pick up…”
you bite your nails in frustration. it’s been a week since the culling game has started, a week since gojo got sealed, since nanami died. since maki got burned. and the biggest act of jujutsu terrorism happened in less than 24 hours under your very noses. a lethal battle royal, where everyone has to kill each other.
it’s been a full week since neither of the twins have contacted you. they don’t respond to their texts either. for mimiko it was normal, she didn’t really use her phone as much as her sister, but when nanako, whose cursed technique is all about using her phone, doesn’t have it, then that’s when you start to worry.
“sensei…” megumi walks up next to you, visibly worried, “who are you looking for? maybe we can help?”
you’ve known megumi ever since gojo found him, and met tsumiki a few times too. you helped gojo train him, something that turned out useful because of your somehow similar cursed techniques: his ten shadows and your use of void space were easy to adapt to the other. you had grown close, especially because of your shared annoyance for his guardian. yet, he never once met your daughters. you would’ve loved to introduce them to each other, mimiko would have been thrilled to have another just as quiet friend of her age and nanako would have loved to bother the two of them. still, you didn’t. you couldn’t, because that would mean explaining to gojo why you have two kids with you and (while still visiting the temple) possibly needing to convince suguru to let you take them out, and even a possible slip-up would’ve meant all hell breaking loose. though sometimes you thought maybe not, since it wasn’t non-sorcerers you were wanting to befriend them with, but it was still too risky. higher-ups had eyes everywhere, and you didn’t want to risk being labeled as foe.
“y/n-sensei, fushiguro’s right!” yuuji chimes in, making you laugh a little bit, “tell us, maybe we’ve seen the person!”
“and once we’re done speaking with master tengen, we can help you search for them.”
“you too, yuki?” you sigh, still spamming the call button.
“that’s tsukumo-senpai to you!” she jokes.
“ugh, someone, take this thing away already! it keeps buzzing way too much!” a hole opens on itadori’s hand, sukuna groaning some curse words and spitting a cell phone out, full of annoyance and disgust.
your heart drops and your mind blurs as you look at it. green, silicone, bunny ears.
“sensei?” yuuta now directs his attention to you too. “sensei, what’s wrong?” he seems worried, and so do the rest of them.
“what’s that?” choso points to the green rectangle on the ground, crouching and flipping it around. they all look at the screen, which reads “mom”.
“that’s a cellphone, choso!” yuki explains.
“that’s — that’s nanako’s cellphone.” you stammer, collapsing to your knees. “yuuji, when— how? this is bad, bad, bad, bad..” you think out loud, voice shakier with every word as you flip the phone from one side to the other. “she-she can’t use her technique without her phone, oh my god. but she’s definitely with mimiko, so maybe they can transfer points to each other, and her combat skills aren’t bad at all, maybe.. ”
“y/n-sensei, i don’t know how that got there.” itadori speaks, almost ashamed.
“i do!” another orifice opens on his hand, grinning. “i killed them.”
everybody’s in shock, you gasp, phone falling on the floor as both your hands cover your mouth.
“the dark haired’s head i blew off, the other’s i sliced.” the curse continues.
“itadori, please make that thing shut up.” maki orders harshly, expression softening when her gaze falls back on you.
“sukuna, this is not the time for jokes.” itadori intervenes.
“i’m not joking. they tried to boss me around, telling me they’ll give me another finger if i kill kenjaku. some brats, trying to command the king of curses around, pfft. i couldn’t give a damn about them wanting that body back or whatever.”
yuki and yuta help you up. megumi stares at you, and choso has partially read the air, pitiful expression plastered across his face. itadori’s head hangs low. yours does too. you don’t blame him, you could never, but you’d like to beat sukuna dead right then and there. exorcize him out of his mind, over and over again. your blood boils, and you feel the cursed energy forming in the pit of your stomach. the ground breaks beneath you, literally, and everybody watches the crack extend into the horizon. you feel like a part of you has died again. the first one died when geto committed mass murder and disappeared off of the face of earth, the second one died when he told you to stop visiting the temple. the third one died on christmas eve, with suguru, and two more parts, the fifth and sixth, died when you found out your girls were dead, a few moments ago. you didn’t even know you had that many in you, but you knew you needed an outlet.
so, you use the only one you have around, that is not fatal to anybody: you let the shards break, you let them explode, allow them to cut you — you scream. you scream, falling to the ground, hands gripping at your hair. and you scream, you scream for nanako and mimiko, for suguru, for satoru, for shoko, for nanami who could’ve escaped his destiny had he not come back, for haibara, for inumaki, for mai, for mechamaru, for nobara who’s fighting death, for the youth you had lost, for the kids that are next to you in this hellhole, for the youth they’ve been stripped of, you scream for your life and scream. and megumi sees one of the women he grew up around losing it, and yuta and itadori see their teacher in shambles, maki sees her role model falling apart; yuki sees the only other special-grade, that’s not a teenager, she has left fighting to not blow up the country, and choso sees a talented sorcerer with a good heart dying inside.
and you scream, you scream until your throat is dry and even dryer and you cough, cough dry, cough blood, cough until you just stop.
megumi kneels down in front of you, and you just stare at him. he looks back at you, eyelashes wet with tears he’d never admit of having shed, silently begging you to not leave him too. he grasps your hands softly like suguru did on the first day you showed up at his temple and pulls you in to hug you. and you see in him the boy suguru used to be, and in all your other students the group of teenagers you built a family with and your heart breaks because they built their own too.
maki kneels down too, and hugs you too, and so does yuta, and although, sheepishly, yuji does that too. choso thinks a bit but megumi nods in approval and he does join, and yuki also circles her arms around you as you cry. deep down you feel and know they’re scared of what you would do, so they hold you down.
megumi never saw you cry once. not because you weren’t a cryer, the three of swords was marked by scalding iron on your heart, but because you never really cried in front of people you didn’t know, or people you didn’t want to perceive you as weak. but he remembers the only time — once, when him and tsumiki were staying over at gojo’s for the weekend — he heard you through the walls. he was eleven, he believes, and he still remembers how you sounded. the memory is sewn into his brain, and whenever he remembers it, his stomach knots and his lymph nodes harden. since then, sometimes, when he saw you smiling, he only thought about what’s kept underneath your smile and your designer clothes and jujutsu records that you broke.
“i raised them, they were my girls too.” you whisper, “they only wanted their dad to have a proper burial, was that really so much to ask for?” your head shakes in disapproval to their fate, “curse users or not, i still carry their picture around in my wallet, i still have every inch of my home full of pictures of them.”
you stop to catch a breath. they’re all still around you, not letting go.
“if it means killing kenjaku, i’ll turn myself into a vengeful spirit if it has to come to that.”

leopardfoot thoughts or hcs? i’ve always thought she was underused, since she’s literally tigerstar’s mom
I think about her a lot. Preferably without That One Line from Pinestar's Choice. I like to think she's got huge lynx feet. I also like to think that Tigerstar misses her.
I personally think she passed during whatever horrible unseen event happened between Bluestar's Prophecy and Into The Wild. The thing that took Stormtail, Thrushpelt, Adderfang, Swiftbreeze, Fuzzypelt, Windflight, Stonepelt, and Robinwing. The biggest plausible theory is that this was a horrific Plague of Greencough, the very same that would kill the cat who tried to treat it: Featherwhisker.
I headcanon her as quite conservative. I want her to be angry with Pinestar for ditching her after a horrible pregnancy and birth. For never interacting with his children, not his tiny daughters who sniffle every breath and struggle to nurse and not their sweet little son who cries until he's cuddled to sleep every night.
Tigerstar was a kitten once. Though Tigerpaw learned brutality from Thistleclaw, but he learned Clan jingoism from his mama.
WCR!Leopardfoot is a hard codeist. Tiger Law did not exist by name yet. She was relatively nice towards Bluemoon and her friends sure, but that kindness would never extend towards outsiders. A busy woman with goals in mind- a strong, prideful family. Daughter of Adderfang and Swiftbreeze, both families without much reputation. She wanted to carve her place in Clan history. Pinestar's noble bloodline appealed to her.
She fell in love with Pinestar as a young warrior, and confessed to him without a hint of shame. She really caught him off guard! At first he thought she was telling him she was dying. Pinestar struggles with social cues and really struggled with things like romance. His mother told him love would find him... Was this what she meant? Should he reciprocate? He had only seen her as a clanmate, the same way he viewed everyone...
He agreed to become mates. He wanted it to be a more co-parenting thing rather than super lovey-dovey couple stuff, and while Leopardfoot was a tad disappointed, the thought pf being the leader's mate and having kits of a regal bloodline was too exciting!
Then, reality hits. She has given birth too early, and all 3 children are sickly and weak. Her son can barely raise his head. Featherwhisker is trying his best, Goosefeather seems to be NO help, and Pinestar's distant all of a sudden! Dude, what the hell!? What happened to 'let's have kits together'?!
She has a similar reaction to Dewy Leaf when he leaves. Sure. Leave. I'm telling our kids about what a coward you are, and how you'll ruin Thunderclan. Go ahead, leave me, I'll make you the devil in every story I tell our children, and I will make sure they're angels.
Nightkit dies 3 days later. She didn't wake up. Leopardfoot was losing hope. She has the heavily pregnant Rosetail watch her children, while she sneaks off to the Moonstone, begging Starclan. Take her. Spare her children. Please. She wasn't a good person but she believed that Starclan ruled over all, she was incredibly pious. If anyone could save her babies, it would be Starclan.
I can't tell you if Starclan answered. But Mistkit and Tigerkit grew strong afterwards, grew into Mistpaw and Tigerpaw, mentored by Dappletail and Thistleclaw. Thistleclaw was at Leopardfoot's personal request. She would have a perfect, strong son. Mistpaw was forming a really strong bond with Dappletail beforehand, and Sunstar was a softy for that sort of thing.
The day Tigerclaw became a warrior, Leopardfoot died. She fell asleep, and never woke up. I also cannot tell you what killed her. Her body just... Stopped. Maybe Starclan made good on their promise.
Maybe something else did.
Maybe it was all a sad coincidence. Tigerclaw loved his mother deeply, she had made him want a big family. Mistpaw, soon to be Mistfang, wasn't always super close with her mom, but thay didn't mean it didn't ache.
Leopardfoot did go to Starclan, as Starclan is biased and she technically didn't break any laws. She may later enter the Dark Forest to be with her son and daughter, or enter it after Pinestar joins, as he is able to claim a spot after a long, loud trial.
If she leaves, she is part of Tigerstar's Plans with the trainees, probably training Larkwing, providing a mother to the young girl that her mother refused to be.
In fact, I think that's where she is going.

As someone who loves the nightmare before christmas, I need to ask. What's Yuu's dynamic with the cast (obviosly not the whole cast). Maybe like Jack, Sally, Oggie Boogie, and possibly Lock, Shock, and Barrel. Since they're the most iconics characters.
P.S. I absolutly adore your work. And you actually got me to watch the House of Mouse on Youtube.
The Pumpkin King and Queen of Halloweentown absolutely adore Yuu! She's so sweet and kind and very much unlike the citizens of their town. Since Sally was raised in isolation like Rapunzel and Quasimodo, she's a member of Yuu's book club and Yuu loves to teach both her and Jack about the human world. Jack loves anything new so meeting this strange new girl from another world. He tells her all about the scary creatures that he's friends with and tells her what he knows about ghosts if she wants to know more about her dormmates at Ramshackle. He also tells her all of his most effective scaring techniques in case anyone tries to hurt her.
You can't tell me that Mickey doesn't hire the Nightmare Before Christmas cast to perform 'This Is Halloween' every Halloween for the club's opening performance.
Also I love the fact that Jack is the king when the devil is literally a resident there.
Like The Shadow man, Oogie Boogie would try to rope Yuu into a rigged casino game before he is swiftly thwarted by Jack and Sally. Since he's the boogie man, he definitely knows what everyone's worst fear is but when he realised that Yuu didn't fear him, he was very impressed - I mean she may not be a young child but she is still a teenager and he knows fully grown adults that pass out at the sight of him. She even rescued his bugs from Timon and Pumbaa for him with a smile. He's not as charmed to her as everyone else is but he has some respect for her. He also knows just how much fear she has for her current situation and how scared she is living in a magical world where she's powerless and the only girl. Whenever the villains have poker nights at the club, he forces her to listen to him teaches her how to play. Perhaps he can get a one up on Jack if she likes him more.
He has a lot of amusement in scaring Jamil though, much to the displeasure of Jafar and Yuu.
Lock, Shock and Barrel are basically like the other villainous henchmen where they like Yuu because she treats them nicely and their boss likes her.
By the way thank you so much for that! House of Mouse was literally one of my favourite childhood cartoons and I love the fact that there are others that like it as well.

You know, I'm worried about the hypocrisy of people in relation to Arajin who hate him because he doesn't want to fight with anyone while there are other characters who are also annoying. zabu; he is a bully and only cares about his friends at first he was horrible to arajin and he only changed his behavior because of matakara. Marito; It's horrible the way he treats Matakara, mocking him, I'm happy he got a beating. arajin's mother also bothers me the way she talks to arajin's friends like ideal age for what? Unpopular opinion, if there was no Senya or Matakara in the anime, Arajin would suffer heavy bullying and would also be beaten a lot.
I think the reason fans hate on Arajin while liking/tolerating everyone else is for various reasons that don't come off as hypocritical.
For starters, Arajin is the MC in a shonen fight series. You'd expect for the MC to have some interest in the main theme of the series or at least make an effort to try and be involved in it. Like Izuku Midoriya training to be a hero, Denji working as a Devil Hunter while being part Devil, Laios Touden being an adventurer who enjoys eating monsters etc. But for Arajin to be a wimp who hates fighting and tries to chicken out every time? While it is subversive in terms of writing, it does leave a bad taste for fans who have their expectations when it comes to anime protagonists. It's not as enjoyable following a protagonist who isn't invested in the show's themes like the audience. It also doesn't help that his views about women are pretty gross, even for a teenage boy.
Secondly, given that Bucchigiri is a shonen fight anime, it's expected that most of the characters would have some background as a fighter, delinquent or street thug. You don't come into a fighting anime only for the main characters to do something else like being professional swimmers who value teamwork or mellow skaters who get along with everyone.
We expect Zabu to be a bully because that's how most delinquents in fiction are. They're supposed to be jerks who harass kids they see as weaker then them but it's only later on do we start to appreciate them when we see their positive traits that develop their character beyond their given stereotype. Much like with Zabu when we see how much he cares for Matakara and felt genuine remorse for his part in the Gang War Arc.
Marito being a vicious and bloodthirsty jerk works since he's supposed to be a gang leader who lives for a good fight. It fits the show's theme and how he revels in battle, something that contrasts the non-violent Arajin. And his mistreatment of Matakara is usually done as retaliation whenever puppy boy does something that would warrant Marito to fight back (standing between him and Kenichirou in Episode 4, the wrestling episode, him picking a fight against Marito and later beating up Jabishiri in Episode 10). If he picked on Matakara on a whim, then that would be uncalled for. But Marito usually uses a valid reason for why he fights.
As for Arajin's mom, I'm sorry if she bothers you for how she talks to the other banchos but I personally haven't seen her crossing any lines or moral boundaries. She greets them with warm enthusiasm but hadn't done anything that would come off as creepy or questionable. Though if there are specific/consistent examples that I missed, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me anon.
And that's possibly true about how Arajin would be in literal hell if he didn't have his old friend and Senya to help him.

Howdyyyy, hope you're doing well. Saw that requests were open and wanted to know your thoughts on Eivor in a butch/femme dynamic (if you're cool with it, that is). Like, how would Eivor treat a high femme reader, or even a reader who was as butch as her.
Eivor with a high femme reader...hmm so:
She's always complimenting you. Like she'd be the type to say anything and everything you wear looks good on you. You're the prettiest girl in the world to her, and she'll let you know it every other second of the day.
Piggybacking off of that, Eivor would be very doting. I think she'd be the type to happily follow you around the shopping mall with all your bags. She'd buy you sweets and just grin with a dumb smile as she watches you eat. She's...a simp. Essentially.
Eivor gives me like. Ikea butch yk. Like she'd be the type to build you a shelf and carve you a wooden bird and fix literally everything in the house. I also think she'd be a bit sporty but only with stuff where you have to tackle people or manhandle them to the ground. Like I don't know why but I think she'd let off steam doing like...rugby or wrestling?
Of course she lets you do her own makeup. I don't think Eivor is the kind to never wear makeup if it's modern times, but she definitely doesn't know as much as you do. You'll probably wow her with your skills cuz she only knows enough for like, her own daily routine if that makes sense.
She'd definitely be kinda like a guard dog in a sense. Like you're cute and def turn eyes, but then it's like: "what's that? Boss music...?" And then they just look behind you and Eivor looks like the devil himself.
She buys you lingerie too. If you really like one, you have to make sure you tell her though...cuz nine times out of ten she bought them just to rip them right off you again.
If you're a pillow princess, Eivor loves to see you lie down and have her pleasure you to hell and back. She definitely is the type to tease, and loves it when you hold onto her so tight you scratch her back.
If you aren't, I think Eivor would melt seeing your pretty face smirk as you pleasure her. Better yet if you're a dom femme, I think some degrading words and forcing the Eivor to beg would be the cherry on top to her day.

Kimi no Koe (Manga)
Created by: Miku Morinaga
Genre: Historical/Romance
This is one of those ones where I read it before I knew there was a yandere in it and then Cherry comes to boop me over the head to tell me there is one. The story itself is very cute on its on and the yandere is the second male lead, though I wouldn't read it specifically for the yandere in this case, however, it is interesting to see how the story will go. Currently, there are 16 chapters out.
The story starts in the Taisho Era, with the main character Kyogoku Kazunari working for a trading company. He's incredibly good at selling because of his ability to read people's minds. He is accepted to marrying into the Suwabe family to a lady who can't speak, and wants to use this position to steal the family's assets, believing that he can rely on his ability to read minds to be able to woo her over. However, upon meeting her, he realizes that he's unable to read her mind. As the story goes on, we see that the Nana is treated horribly in her household, even finding she was never taught how to read and that her name literally means "no name". Feeling pity for her, he promises to each her how to read and slowly goes closer to her. Nana is also, as we find out, a mind reader, however, because she doesn't know how to read, she doesn't find any of the words to have any meaning. We also find out the cause of her muteness is because of trauma that her father gave her, telling her not to speak, because she had the same ability that her mother had. As the story goes on the two get closer and closer together, though because of Kyogoku's distrust of people (thanks to experiences in his past), he decides that if he can't hear her true thoughts after he's properly wed, he will leave her for good. Kyoguku's past is rather quite troubling too, as his mind reading powers were initially used to make his mother happy, turning the entire town first into worshippers of him, only to turn on him later, making him out to be the devil. His mother abandons him soon after, as her only reason for having him was to get her husband back. As a result, Kyoguku develops trust issues and becomes the more selfish person he is today.
While these two are cutely falling in love, in the background of the Suwabe family, more sinister things are going on. The family ends up selling Nana to a rich man named Claude, who seems to be overseeing what is going on with Nana and Kyoguku, and wishes to watch the family fall into ruins. He meets Nana once before while two are engaged, though she doesn't seem to remember him. He finally does force Nana to get married to him while Kyoguku is gone, attempting to sail off on a ship. He has a rather tragic backstory as well, with his mother remarrying, dying and his stepfather selling him off. He's ended up sold as a servant and runs away trying to survive, with everyone around him simply using him because he's a foreigner. While he doesn't understand what they're saying, he has a similar ability to Nana and Kyoguku where he can understand people's auras/intentions very well. Claude eventually meets Nana, and Nana gives him a small act of kindness before seeing her abused and promising to save her. He is found by his stepdad again and raised as a nobleman, using whatever method he can to gain power and to finally save her. The last chapters currently has Claude threatening to hurt Nana if Kyoguku (who runs out to find her) gets too close.
Like I said, I didn't initially read this one expecting a yandere in it, but it is a surprise indeed. The story itself mostly focuses on the growing relationship with Nana and Kyoguku, with Kyoguku being a bit more tsundere with his actions while caring about Nana. It's heartbreaking at some points as Nana continues to learn how to read and by proximity learn to read minds, she's able to read Kyoguku's thoughts. When Kyoguku decides that he will leave Nana, Nana is only able to read her name, causing her happiness as she knows that Kyoguku is thinking about her, but not what he's about to do. Historical Japanese stories for yanderes seem to be more rare as well, overshadowed by isekais which are closer to Eurpean based history, so it is nice to be able to read something that is different.
However, I will say that this is probably not one you would read for the yandere since Claude isn't really in there. Since the story focuses more on the relationship with Kyoguku and Nana, Claude is in the background, pulling the strings with the Suwabe famaily, but doesn't really show up all that much in the manga itself until he eventually kidnaps Nana as an intent to wed. He seems to be a purity yandere, since he saw Nana as pure and is marrying her to take her away from her abusive family to somewhere she belongs. He goes out of his way to do whatever he needs to do to be able to be with her, including essentially destroying the family that hurt her in the first place. Nana seems pretty reluctant to be with him, and doesn't seem to remember him when they meet as adults. Still, as a villain he seems to be used as a way to show that Nana has more agency than other people seem to let on, and that the time with Kyoguku and Nana is stronger than what he and Nana have with each other. Still, while Claude will likely lose, it is still a good story, though I wish he were in it a bit more.
Overall, I would recommend reading this if you enjoy cute romance stories. I like how the main couple are able to build up their relationship together and adding a yandere in there is also a very nice touch. Thanks to Cherry for recommending it to me again!

Stuff from the comics I like and if they were canon to the inky mystery I would explode from joy part 2
Bacon soup has Bendy's face on it, it's really funny really, just having the soup you like the most have your own face on it for no real reason.
Alice is seen float a lot, it's really fun.
Boris growls.
Alice halo becomes smaller and her horns gets longer whenever she gets mad, along with fire.
Bendy just doesn't dress up for Halloween because he's a demon, but if he has to scare Boris, he gets a ghost costume (implying that Boris is not scared of bendy. At all. Which is very cute.) < from the cartoons
Charley just hates bendy lmao
love how whenever something happens, it has to be Bendy's fault. he's just a troublemaker, but his friends are ready to forgive him anytime.
Boris says "good golly gosh" a lot, actually.
"we're the first people to land in the moon, and it's YOUR FAULT!" love this from Alice actually.
Also in the bendy universe apparently the moon's made of cheese and there are aliens living there. Or whatever those turkeys were.
Alice is never up Bendy's bullshit.
according to Alice, bendy needs to get better at his "people's skills"
Bendy just has lots of pranks things, like the little joy buzzer (the thing where you shake the hand of someone and the someone gets shocked n stuff)
Also bendy has a pet fish. (Love how when he turned bubbles into a monster fish bendy still called him bubbles, like. Hey guys check my giant pet monster!!! His name his bubbles!!!)
bendy is just..not evil, even when he has literally something that can give him everything he wants (the pitchfork, even though in the end it was a scam) he just says "I shouldn't keep this to myself, but have everyone else have it too!!!" And immediately goes to give his friends their wishes.
Like, even if he calls Boris "his servant" he just treats him way too good.
also "bubbles you destroyed the whole town! Good work of course, but that's where I live!!" Awesome.
Despite bendy being a demon (demons are often described as filthy and greedy) he enjoys being clean.
Tumblr media
Best description of bendy I saw "mischievous selfish bitch who steals pies from old ladies" (because in the comics he does steal pies. From one specific lady too.)
The first thing bendy does when the pitchfork turns out to be a curse casting pitchfork is say "oh no! Alice and Boris!" He truly cares man.
"think bendy! Put your devilshness to good use!!"
Alice openly says to bendy "bendy I will beat your ass once this is over", icon.
"there's only one devil who can menace alice and Boris and that's me!" Like when the older sibling says "only I can bully my younger sibling" beautiful. I want this canon in inky mystery.
Alice dosen't even question why bendy pet fish is now a giant flying monster, meaning he pulls out shit like this everyday.
"to think that dosen't recognize all the good naps we had together!" Boris has a favorite spot to sleep and it's that specific tree. (The dancing evil tree.)
BENDY SAVING BUBBLES WHEN HE FALLS😭🙏
bendy: "i've learned my lesson!!" Does the same mistake again.
Alice is really just a good independent woman, I love her. She's smart and she got charm.
I love how Alice can fool bendy and Boris pretty easily, she's the smart one of the group.
All of the stories with bendy, Boris and Alice being like characters like in devil's treasure, yukon bendy and such it makes me think they dress up and play pretend.
Bendy saying "I love that guy" to Charley like😭🙏 this man has no enemies !!!
"we've been here for fifteen minutes!! Time to go home." Boris is still a mood. (He's talking about working, btw.)
Bendy is casually a conductor. (Even more reasons why he loves trains, AND HE PLAYS WITH A TOY TRAIN IN THE GAME.)
Bendy does not like potato corn.
Boris gets offended if he gets called a dog, he will specifically tell you he is a WOLF, not a dog!
"boo bendy!! We love you Alice!!!" LMAOO
"see people of new York!" Either he went to New York to perform, or sillyvision is around there.
Also apparently bendy can lift things and make 'em float. He lifted Alice in the air and let her float around for a magic trick (or it was Alice floating for him but I doubt, since later he spins her and she doesn't like that.)
"whoops! That was my good tomato" 😭🙏 I LOVE THE BACKGROUND CHARACTERS
Let me appreciate the pizza guy saying "another, signore?" Which translate to "another, sir?"
Bendy can cook! Or at least, he can make chili.
Bendy does his bath with his rubber duck!!
Boris and Alice casually fishing where it says "no fishing"
They also just, casually look at bendy sleeping in his washtub being pulled away by the water.
Edgar is such a cutie patooie. He even asks politely "just don't tell the gang I saved you btw, thanks."

matthew tkachuk as peanut’s dad:
basing this off of what went down at the bruins vs panthers game last week where matthew yelled “ur wife’s a whore”
let’s say mama starts getting back into the dating game when peanut is 2/3, matthew has been dating around before baby is born.
matthew finds out that mama is dating someone else the day before he’s supposed to play nucks or devils and at the game he yells at 1 of the brothers “ur sisters a whore”.
the absolute RAGE the brother feels & his teammates not even holding them back and helping him beat the ever loving shit out of him. maybe brother gets ejected or suspended from the game(s) and when mama is telling them that was not necessary (not knowing what he said), brother explained the situation and is like “you don’t deserve to be treated and spoken about like that” “ur to good for him”
ahh omgg!
mama's not even dating really, she just went out on a few dates with someone she was introduced to, and matthew hears of this and absolutely hates it. like the problem is that he loves mama (in his mind), but he can't trust himself to be there for her and peanut. so at the game, matthew just scoffs in brother's direction after they check him or smth, and goes "ur sisters a whore".
quinn: he's frozen. like he's actually frozen and matthew repeats it. chaos. quinn literally launches himself at matthew, forgetting that they were ever friends. no one talks about his sister like that. the teammates don't know how to react at first, bcz quinn doesn't fight, but they snap out of it, knowing that there's no damn way they're gonna let matthew get away with saying that. the flames team tries to pull them apart (those who didn't hear what matthew said are getting involved in fighting) and everyone just loses their shit. quinn's suspended for three games, and mama shows up at his door the next morning, wincing at his bruised face. she's applying an ice pack and shaking her head, telling him, "you didn't have to do that. it's over, me and matthew. there's nothing to fight about." quinn's literally shaking with rage at the reminder of matthew, and he tells his older sister what matthew says. mama freezes, ice pack against quinn's cheek, eyes watering up. quinn's muttering angrily about how it's okay for matthew to date but the second mama sees someone, he's gonna act like an angel. quinn shakes his head, pulling mama close, the two of them holding each other. he whispers, "u were too good for him. he doesn't deserve any of it."
jack and luke: red. red literally takes over jack's vision and he doesn't remember what he did after. he watches the replay, seeing himself attacking matthew, while the other devs back him up. matthew just takes the damn hits, he doesn't even return them for once. the two've always had a rocky history on the ice, but this ones the worst. luke, who heard the comment and is the only sibling on good terms with matthew, joins in on the fighting. that's when matthew realizes he fucked up. when jack and luke come home, mama's waiting on the couch for them, the first-aid kit already ready. peanut's asleep in the room, and they're all trying not to wake her. mama silently cleans their wounds, even though the athletic trainer already cleaned them up. "you don't have to fight him every time ur on the ice," mama tells jack. she turns to luke, "and i thought you were okay with him. don't turn into jack. i can't handle two of you." and luke just shakes his head, dropping it into mama's lap and tries not to cry bcz he hates matthew and hates everything except mama right now. jack's eyes are red, he's trying not to cry, while mama's already crying - he hates making mama cry. jack tells mama what he said, "after every thing you did for him, you don't deserve to be spoken about like that. i'm not gonna let anyone speak to you like that."

Honestly I do not beef with how The Winchesters handled a lot of things (Generally because we all know it’s out of love or protectiveness and usually desperation to save one another or the world) but the one beef I really have with them over the entirety of the series was how casually they told Rowena about Crowley’s death. Forget about Rowena and Crowley’s history for a second. First of all, Dean saying he killed himself to save them so casually to her massively undercut the weight of what he gave up for them and the world, not to mention how much he’d grown. Second of all, they’re saying this to his mother. Even if she and Crowley hated each other, you think they would have said it like that telling it to anyone else’s mother? Hell no. Sam saves it slightly when he corrects himself in using the name she gave him and shows more empathy than Dean by far, but they still treat this like it’s a casual conversation about his bravery when they have literally shaken her reality as she knows it.
She’s had to lose her child for the second time in her life with this loss undoubtedly being permanent, and the one time she absolutely deserved their decency as a human being, she didn’t get it. Granted, she probably didn’t expect it from them either way, but if it had been me I would have thrown that fucking whiskey glass at them. This is the last of her family, her only son who sacrificed himself for them and to try and seal the devil in an alternate reality to help save the world, and it’s no big deal, tell her he died and get on with the hunt for them? And then to make the assumption that she would have been proud of him? Watching that scene for the first time I legitimately had to scream into a pillow. To tell her about his death like that and then assume how she would feel about it being a sacrifice????? Honestly I don’t know how she kept it together without blowing up on them.
Don’t get me wrong, I love those boys and everything they stand for, and the growth the event sparked in her, but that was an absolute failure of compassion on their part when she deserved it and to this day I cannot watch that scene without raging for her. She wasn’t a good mother by any stretch of the imagination, but she was his mother, and deserved to be treated as such with the news of her son’s death instead of hearing them talk about it as though it were just another day on the job when he sacrificed everything and she lost her son. I’m still mad about it, and I’m going to be mad about it forever. Rowena deserved better from them on that, period.

I know Lexi is American, do we know where her family are located?
Maybe when the devils are on a long road trip Lexi suprises him when they visit her hometown. All three of their girls are ready by the glass for warm-ups and Nico's heart stops seeing them all there.
Thats night is also a treat as her parents look after the girls so nasty Nico can visit 🔥😂💕
NASTY NICO CAN VISIT!!!!! NONNIE!!!! HAHAHAHA! We fucking love that. literally.
Lexi is from the Midwest- Northern Missouri is specifically coming to mind for me. Her hometown is a few hours from where David's family farm is in Iowa. However, Lexi's parents divorced when she was younger and have since moved on to different places. Her dad lives in Tampa, Florida and her mom lives in San Diego, California. They needed an entire country separating them once Lexi turned 18 ( she is an only child).
Lexi and her mom have a very up and down relationship. So, she is hesitant about bringing the girls to California without Nico as a buffer. She does bring them to Tampa to see her dad though!
All week, Lexi has been giddy, imaging this moment every time she closed her eyes to go to sleep. It is practically impossible to surprise Nico Hischier, but as the Devils come rushing out at Amalie Arena, she is confident she pulled it off.
"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" Lucie screams as he does his first pass. His eyes are focused on a puck, so he doesn't see them. Lexi watches him work that gum, tongue blowing it out into a tiny bubble. She shivers. The Devils have an off day tomorrow and are sticking around the Tampa area before traveling to Sunrise. Nico is getting a green light and although he doesn't know yet, she knows exactly how he is gonna spend that time.
"He didn't see!" Mack whines, tugging at Lexi's jacket sleeve.
"Pat the glass this time." Lexi suggests.
They do, but that still doesn't work. Uncle Timo comes trolling around the rink, then grins when he sees the Hischier girls. He taps his stick against the glass on their little faces, chuckling as Mack startles.
“Hey!” Mack growls, baring her teeth. Timo does the same back to her and they have a little stand off that finally captures Nico’s attention. From across the ice, Lexi watches the recognition and beaming smile flood his face. He gets up from his one knee stretch and glides across the fresh ice, twirling his stick as he does.
“Daddy!!” The girls all squeal together. Lexi laughs, appreciating the utter joy on Nico’s face as he takes in all his favorite people right in front of him.
“Surprise.” Lexi mouths. He sighs hugely, then gives her an appreciative pout.
Three pucks go over the glass for each one of the girls between Uncle T and Daddy. Nico signals to Lucie to walk down to the camera hole a few feet away and gives her fist bumps.
“Just like home, huh?” He asks her. Lucie laughs and waves as he takes off to join his team drills.
The Devils win, barely squeaking through to avoid extra time. The post-game hugs with the girls are massive. Nico wraps all of them up right, squeezing until they squeal and giggle and give him the 13 kisses he demands as payment. Then, he stands, working his way around three little girls to get to his gorgeous wife.
“Thank you. This was a great surprise, babe.” He places his lips against hers, running his tongue along her bottom lip. Lexi leans into his chest. Nico’s hand on her lower back presses her in closer. Her fingers weave into his long locks as the whole world disappears except for them.
“Tell me your dad is taking our kids.” He mumbles quietly against her mouth.
“Mhm.”
“The things I’m gonna do to you….” He trails off then pulls away like he didn’t just soak her panties straight through. He keeps his hand on her lower back as he shakes her dad’s hand.
Lexi’s eyes widen, intrigued by his confident, easy demeanor.
This conversation wouldn’t be so friendly if her dad knew what Nasty Nico is going to do to her later.

What's your opinion on Maggie? I'm fairly torn about her. On one hand, she absolutely needed help and support, and fely she was a danger to Matt. On the other, she did leave Jack a single parent with no financial support, then remained around Matt for literal years, allowing him to believe himself an orphan. I am glad they reconnected, but I've seen some people act like she is some kind of perfect caring parent, which I find especially bizarre given the nature of her relationship with Matt. Letting your child believe themself an orphan is not a neutral action as some make it out to be, it does cause harm.
THIS IS SUCH A COMPLICATED QUESTION.
I think you did a great job zeroing in on what makes this so complicated. Maggie was harmed by many things (society, possibly the church, even her own brain); Maggie also caused a lot of harm. How do we reconcile all this?
I think we have to consider all of it together.
See, I think people err by focusing too much on one of three things:
Her lack of help; her unmet needs in her early life;
The good she can and does do for Matt later in life; and
The harm caused to Matt.
I think in reaching a nuanced opinion of Maggie, we have to account for all of these things.
It might seem easy and convenient to focus on how she is, in many ways, a victim of society and lack of education. We tell ourselves how different things would have been if only she'd had a therapist, if only she'd had more support, etc.
But one person's victimhood doesn't mean they can't cause harm. Maggie absolutely caused harm. As you pointed out, her actions weren't neutral.
At the same time, surely there's a difference between someone who caused harm intentionally vs negligently. For some people (though not all), the harm itself might even be less. For example, Matt was hurt (negatively affected) by Maggie's actions, regardless of her degree of intentionality. But I think he would have been hurt worse if he'd believed she abandoned him on purpose. Such a belief would, I think, have fed into his "I have the devil in me" self-hate even more than the simple fact of abandonment, without intent, already feeds into that.
Finally, we have to consider her efforts later in life. They are, in many ways, half-measures. She'll care for his body and attempt to care for his soul, but she won't actually confess her sins to him - which perhaps wouldn't be so bad if she kept her secret out of concern for how it would affect him, but she admits to Karen that her motive was cowardice. That said, the half-measures are still present. These good deeds do not erase her bad deeds (she can't "make up" for wronging him), but her good deeds do nevertheless have a good impact on Matt. She enables him to regain his strength and is one of the few people he can talk to at this point in his life. She clearly cares about him, even if she struggles to know how to care about him well.
And so personally, I sympathize with people who can't look at Maggie and see anything but hurt. However, I am like Matt: I don't believe redemption should be withheld from anyone. We all make mistakes; we all hurt people.
Actually, the Hebrew Bible has an interesting take on this. There are several Hebrew words used to describe something as...well, as a problem. There's chata (often translated "sin" but it means, really, "anything short of perfection"); there's marad (often translated "rebellion" which implies intentionality); there's sur (which means to "turn aside" or "wander" which, I think, doesn't imply intentionality); there's abar (which means to trespass or cross a boundary line); there's also avah (which means "to be bent or twisted") - which is something you can do to yourself, but it also something that can be done to you that leaves you "twisted."
That last one is particularly interesting to me. Maggie was, I believe, "twisted" by depression and by the ways she was treated by the church, by society, etc. She acted, at least in part, in accordance with how she'd been twisted.
Those actions harmed Matt. They twisted Matt. And Matt goes on to act, at least in part, in accordance with how he has been twisted. This causes further harm to people like Foggy, Karen, and Claire, who are hurt by the ways Matt lies to them and pushes them away - which are behaviors he engages in because of how he has been twisted.
Speaking of twisting: Stick. Matt tells Stick to his face that Stick's ideas of the world are "warped". In other words, Stick was twisted. And Stick ended up twisting Matt.
And one of the ideas I've tried to explore a lot in the Ella series is Matt's struggle to avoid passing on any of those twisting ideas to other young children.
What I appreciate about this idea of twisting is that it acknowledges the reality that: a) someone can be hurt; and b) someone can hurt other people out of their hurt; and c) we can call this overall Thing a "bad" thing (as in, "this is not the way things should be"); and yet d) no one did anything intentionally wrong.
In the complicated, messed-up, far-from-perfect world we live in, I think that nuance is absolutely crucial.
Ultimately, when I look at Maggie, I see someone who is incredibly relatable. Some of her terrible choices are, I think, the result of others failing (or twisting) her and I wonder how much she was even capable of choosing differently. Other terrible choices are, I think, done in rebellion against what she knows she should do (such as refusing to confess her sin to Matt, which she knows she should do, and refusing to do so purely out of cowardice/pride). And still other choices are good choices.
I know some Maggies in real life. I'm not the Matt to their Maggie, so the hurt is less personal (although they have hurt people I care about deeply). With those sorts of people, I hope that I am always able to see them still as people. I don't want to write them off because of their harms - no matter how harmful those choices are. We all need grace, mercy, and redemption, and I will not be the one to withhold it from someone.
That said...it is important for the Matts of this world to know that "mercy" is not the same as "trust." Nor is "forgiveness" the same as "never feeling hurt." I explored this more in my Trust fic, but I do not believe Matt owes Maggie anything. If he finds it painful to even be in the same room with her again, then he should not have to be in the same room with her again. Alternatively, if he wants a relationship with her, that's also fine, but the relationship still needs to be safe for him. There needs to be healthy boundaries, and she needs to earn his trust.
And finally, I have to say that I love Maggie as a character. From a storytelling perspective, she adds so much to Matt's arc, and I could ramble for days, but this is already really long, so I'm going to sign off here.
Anon, thank you for the very challenging ask. I'm sure I took this in some weird directions, but...yeah, these are (at least a lot of) my Maggie thoughts.

Just me rambling about my fanfic projects
(I didn't really proofread, I'm sorry.)
Listen, I know nobody's really gonna give a fuck, but screw it, I need to word vomit a bit.
I've posted on another platform about how I've been writing some Twisted Wonderland fics behind the scenes – three of them, to be exact. I haven't published them because I've been enjoying writing and indulging in this hobby in a stress-free manner, because I sometimes feel overwhelmed when having to cater to an audience, which incidentally takes the fun out of writing for me and causes me to block or burn out easily.
Doing this has really been making me happy, and I'm on the fence about publishing the fics. I probably will at some point; it would be a waste to not share the works. Plus, they're already written in a reader insert format, so it's not like I'd have to change much about the stories to cater them to my typical audience. I think I'd publish them only when I'm nearing their completion or when I have a lot – and I mean a lot – of chapters done. That way, I can set a consistent upload schedule.
But regardless of what I end up doing, I'd like to share the basics of the three books I've been working on! So continue reading if you're interested! ~
I'd like to give a preemptive warning that the second story I talk about is heavily NSFW-based. So, if you're uncomfortable with that, then skip over to #3.
Another thing: the reader is referred to with she/her pronouns throughout the explanations, though if published, they might be changed to GN, but I'm not really sure yet.
#1
So, the first book I want to talk about is called 'The Devil's Wonderland.'
Tumblr media
This story is definitely inspired by some elements of Obey Me, though you don't need to have played Obey Me to understand what's going on because although it's inspired, it's not a crossover and the OM characters are never mentioned.
This book does follow Twisted Wonderland's main story, though, with some artistic liberty taken to make it more unique to me and my story-telling. The reader is the highly-respected and somewhat feared demon lord of the Nether Realm (hell) and runs an institution where demons of all ages learn various things about the Nether Realm and important skills to have as a demon. The idea of the institution was first brought forth by the previous demon lord, her father, but the reader is the one to have actually gone through with it. Much like the Twisted Wonderland side of things, the institution has seven dorms with one demon at the head of each of them, and each dorm is based on one of the seven deadly sins. The dorm heads are personally very close to the reader in one way or another, and all come from different social standings of demon hierarchy.
Her office has a mirror that allows her to look into different universes and realms, as well as travel to said universes, which is where the reader learns of Twisted Wonderland, a Realm she finds absolutely enchanting and fascinating and was contemplating taking a vacation there. However, when one of the freshmen, a mischievous cambion who has already earned himself the reputation of being troubled, gets called into the office, he goes into the mirror and Twisted Wonderland. So, with her trusty right-hand demon man at her side, they go into the mirror, where they are transported into Twisted Wonderland at NRC. They end up using humanoid disguises with magic to not draw much attention to themselves — they're unaware of what constitutes normal for the world — and originally have a mission to retrieve the troubled student and bring him back to the Nether, but they get dragged into the mess of the prologue of the main game. The thing is, the reader realizes that she likes being in Twisted Wonderland because of the way she's being treated. She's not being treated with fear and superiority. People aren't sucking up to her or blindly following and adoring her for her status because the NRC men don't know that this is the literal queen of hell.
She likes it. She likes being just another person. Hell, she gets excited when people outright disrespect her because nobody would ever dare say their true thoughts to her back in the Nether. So, she wants to stay in Twisted Wonderland to experience a semblance of normality, though she still has to flip-flop between realms because she has duties back in the Nether, so she's living this double life. Much to the chagrin of her right-hand man.
To make the story more unique to me, I've implemented a lot of elements of the original universe I've been building for myself and OCs, and there a few of OCs that will be added to add a little something!
I'd like to briefly introduce these OCs to you. Please note that all the artwork that I'm about to show you have not been made by me. They are all paid commissions of my characters, directly taken from my ToyHouse account. I'd also like to apologize for the poorly-done collages of the images. I tied to condense things as much as possible.
Obviously I won't be revealing too much info on them as I don't want to spoil things should the books come to the public, but I want to share a few tidbits!
Starting off with my personal favourite and one of the most relevant characters, meet Alastair:
Tumblr media
Al is the right-hand man and butler to the reader. His loyalty to her knows no bounds, and he's almost always seen with her. They actually have a very close relationship and respect each other as way more than just business partners, instead seeing each other as very close friends. Alastair is an absolute badass in his own way and possibly my favourite character. I'd even go as far as to say that he's my favourite of ALL of my OCs. I've just grown super attached to this dude and can't wait to show him off in story.
Next, we have Luka:
Tumblr media
Luka is the cambion that got Alastair and the reader in the mess in the first place. Being half demon and half human, he struggles with his identity as he's unsure of where he fits in best. He faces prejudice in the human community for being unpure (racism is actually a big thing in my universe regarding human views on non-humans) and the demon community often reject cambions for being 'not demon enough'. Luka gets a lot of character development throughout the story, and his relationship with Alastair is pretty comical, and the relationship he grows with the reader is so wholesome to the point where I'm debating not making Luka a love interest because I feel like they have a very familial bond.
So, Luka and Alastair are the main OCs and the ones that are seen the most. The other OCs get introduced slowly but surely and are less present — though they still hold weight — so I will rapid-fire them at you.
So, let's get into the seven dorm heads of the demon institution!
First, we have Melchom:
Tumblr media
Melchom is the dorm head of the Superbia dorm, which is centred around the sin of pride. He is a noble who is very well-acquainted with the reader and her family, being a childhood friend of hers. They were brought up with the intent of wedded to one another, but that didn't happen for reasons I'm not spoiling. With striking good looks, great power, a high rank in demon society and the sheer confidence he exhibits, Mel is definitely one of the more popular and admired demons at the institution, seemingly being perfect in every sense of the word.
Next is Lucius:
Tumblr media
Lucius runs Avaritia, the dorm based around the sin of greed. Although neither a noble nor anywhere near royalty, Lucius is a pretty successful business demon. He's incredibly skilled in business affairs and has made a name for himself in both the Nether and human realms, but is his money all from honest, hard work? Probably not. But he sure is good at convincing others that it is. He's a demon, give the shady man a break!
We move on over to Jinn!
Tumblr media
Jinn is at the top of the Invidia dorm, which is based on envy. Out of all the dorm heads, Jinn is the most difficult with which to get along. Deep-rooted insecurities manifest as envy towards his comrades for one way or another, making it difficult to form a genuine bond.
Next is the duo of Gael and Aziel:
Tumblr media
Leading the Ira dorm, based on wrath, are Gael and Aziel. Gael is the only human that currently inhabits the Nether Realm, and he shares his body with a demon named Aziel. The reasons as to why Aziel is possessing Gael are redacted for the time being as I don't want to spoil, but much like a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde thing, Gael and Aziel are completely different in terms of personality, and Aziel can take over Gael's body.
Next, we have Ezekiel, or just Zeke for short:
Tumblr media
The Luxuria dorm is based on the sin of lust, and Zeke is the one who runs it. Zeke is a super open, chill and fun-loving guy who is all about self-expression and will absolutely shame kink and slut-shamers. He's allergic to wearing proper shirts, but if he must, he will. He also runs various clubs at the institution, including a dance club and a yoga club.
Next is Iblis:
Tumblr media
At the top of the Gula dorm, home of gluttony, is Iblis. Iblis is an absolute sweetheart and cinnamon roll, whose tail and butt will do little waggles when food is involved. Despite constantly eating, he's rather fit due to gluttony demons essentially being bottomless voids, nearly immediately burning up anything they consume. And yes, his tail is as warm and squishy as it looks, and he's all for letting people use it as a weighted blanket. Once a human, reincarnated as a demon after death, one really wonders what the hell this guy has done to wind up in hell, he's such a sweetie... ~
For the last dorm head, we have Izzin:
Tumblr media
The last dorm, representing sloth, is Acedia, which is run by Izzin. Much like, Iblis, Izzin was also once human and turned into a demon after death. Being a sloth demon, Izzin is forced into a perpetual state of sleepiness and because of that, he's the most uninvolved of all the dorm heads. Make no mistake, even in sleep, he's somehow perfectly aware of what's going on around him. He hears all, don't test him. Though when he's awake and aware, he's amongst the more mischievous and scheming of the dorm heads and often gets involved in Lucius' scams- I mean business.
There's one last character I want to show, and that's the reader. Now, in and of itself, the reader is not given a set appearance. The skin colour, body type, hair colour and style, eye colour, etc. remain ambiguous so that the reader can insert themself or their OC. Plus, this is made to be my sona as the MC of the story, but I still wanted to show! This is more to show what I have in mind with the outfit, crown, wings and horns when in demon form.

OKAY. Moving on to the next book!
#2
The next book is... something. It's called 'She's a Monster.'
Tumblr media
Let me explain this book's existence with a simple conversation between my friend and I.
Friend: Hey, Britt! You know how everybody writes fics where the reader is a monster fucker?
Me: ... yeah?
Friend: Well, hear me out... what if the reader is the one who's a monster, and the guys are the ones who are monster fuckers??
Me: ...
Me: *Opens Google Docs.* Say no more.
So... this book is a collect-all-the-men reverse-harem-porn-with-plot... thing.
To make this simple, it's Twisted Wonderland, but the reader is a big, strong, naga woman that brings out the monster fucker in the NRC men. There's the plot that follows TW and my added plot lines, but there's a lot of sex and kink exploration.
My portrayal of nagas is not accurate to our real-world legends. My portrayal of nagas is purely driven by my original universe and narrative, so keep that in mind!
The gyst is that the reader is a naga — half human, half snake monster — a rare creature on the brink of extinction in Twisted Wonderland. The reader has been living completely isolated in the depths of a forest near the Dwarf Mines. She's rather lonely and craves having a clutch — what nagas use to refer to their group of mates — so when she sees Yuu, Ace, Deuce and Grim adventure into the mines, she's compelled to help them out a bit and interact.
Now, in this story, nagas are rare and almost extinct, so while it's not normal for her species, the reader is willing to get with humans and humanoids because she's a little desperate. Here's the thing: nagas have a weird male-to-female ratio, with females being much rarer than males, where there's only about a single female for every nine males, so it isn't uncommon for females to have multiple partners, and this instinct is still very present, and so that is why the reader is compelled to get with multiple guys. However, despite this, female nagas are very respectful and gentle with their partners and love them all equally.
The reader in this can shift between her proper, monstrous form and a more humanoid form where she has legs, though she's not fond of being in that form as she gets sore from containing her monster form. So, there are scenes where the men fuck the reader in her human form and some scenes where it's human on monster.
The reader is portrayed as a switch in the book, but there's a focus on her being dominant. I'm just tired of always writing submissive readers, so I'm trying something different. Plus, female nagas, in this interpretation, are typically larger, stronger and more dominant than the males.
Also... the reader has both female and male anatomy. I primarily work with female anatomy in the story, but when in her full monster form, the reader can sheathe and unsheathe two dicks, so there are some scenes where the dudes get dicked down.
There's some genuine fluff and emotional connections made, it's not all smut, and there are definitely some comedic moments, especially with the reader just... not understanding everyday slang, technology and human things in general.
So yeah, this one is definitely sexually charged and not for the sexually squeamish.
I'd like to give a visual reference of my OC that I've used to base the reader off. Again, keep in mind that my showing you these images is only to give you an idea of the physical traits the reader has in her monster form. Her skin/scale colour, hairstyle and hair colour, body type and shape, eye colour, etc, are all for you to pick. The basic appearance of the reader's insert is their choice, but this is a template for you to know what I have in mind when writing in terms of physical traits. The reader's 'colour palette' while in her monster form isn't mentioned, so feel free to think of her as the colour of your choice. Doesn't have to be purple and gold.
Tumblr media
Her name's usually Lilith in my universe, but she's (Y/N) here, obviously! I have some more art of her, but the images are... very NSFW. So, I'm not showing.
Onto the last book!
#3
The last book is called 'Monsters & Magic.'
I don't have a cover for this one yet, but here's a commission that's in progress that I should get this week. There's gonna be a nice background of NRC's courtyard!

POKÉMON X TWISTED WONDERLAND CROSSOVER!!!
Okay, so this book is a little different... it's kind of a CYOA?
Also, you don't NEED to be a pokémon expert to read this, but it definitely helps.
Basically, the reader is a champion-level and gets yeeted into the world of Twisted Wonderland thanks to Arceus. Basic stuff. But here's where it gets a little different: the book has three prologue chapters, and in the third prologue chapter, the reader stands in front of the mirror, and the story branches. There are seven branches for the seven dorms, and the reader will be placed in one of the dorms, and you choose which paths you want to read. So there are basically seven stories in one.
I decided to do this because I wanted to follow the stories of Twisted Wonderland, but I wanted the reader to experience the events of every dorm from the perspective of someone who's in that dorm. I wanted to write a bit more of an inside view of the dorm dramas and characters, with added plot lines and scenes made by me, of course. This is also a good way to give more depth to some characters I feel got screwed over by the writers. Leona, my love, I'm looking at you.
The reader also changes depending on the dorm she's in. Her personality and backstory are different, her pokémon team is different, etc. This is for variety because I don't want to write the same character over and over again but in a different setting.
The reader is from a different region for every dorm and has experienced the events of the main games associated with that region, plus more. The thing is, there are nine main regions and only seven dorms, so I can't honor them all. Plus, if you count Hisui, Orre, Fiore, Almia and Oblivia, there are even more regions.
Since I wanted to involve as many of the regions as possible, I fused some of them together, so here's what I got:
Heartslabyul: Paldea + Galar
Savanaclaw: Sinnoh
Octavinelle: Hoenn + Alola
Scarabia: Orre
Pomefiore: Kalos
Ignihyde: Kanto + Johto
Diasomnia: Unova
Because Hisui is basically old Sinnoh, I decided to not include it at all, but there are some nods and references to Legends Arceus, notably in the prologue of the book where Arceus brings the reader to Twisted Wonderland, and how pokémon are portrayed to be, as they are, wild creatures that can be extremely dangerous when not tamed.
Fiore, Almia and Oblivia... as much as I love the ranger games, I decided to not include them. Mostly because I haven't plsyed the games in so long that I don't remember them that much, but also because I wabted the reader's history to be more trainer-oriented.
Orre is included becasue I'm a sucker for the GC games, but also because I think the story and atmosphere based on those regions is great, and I'd love to incorporate it!
----
All in all, I'm having so much fun writing these books, and if I ever release them to the public, I hope y'all will enjoy them as well!
Welp, thank you for coming to my TED talk! See ya!
