starting off strong with kyborg!

details i enjoy- his blue hairties and gold ear cuff are inspired by the ones he has in the picture on the home page of the stinky dragon wiki. im especially happy with the ear cuff because it turned out way better than i expected.

i also really like the arm (and yes i know he doesnt have the diagem in it anymore but it needed some pizazz! said pizazz made me temporarily hate myself because it used up his 4th face accessory slot but i don't even remember what other face accessory i wanted for him anymore :P)

also his boots. idk why but i like them

his hair!! i went through a bunch of styles and chose this one and i'm glad i did because this is a pretty accurate representation of how i imagine his hair, including the color! his mom was a redhead so ya boi is a strawberry blond (ish)

details i do NOT enjoy- the fact that gl2 doesnt have a hip quiver :( because i had to add the quiver to his back but that took up his second cape slot so he couldnt have his cloak of many fashions. and also even if i could give it to him w the back quiver i would still want a hip quiver because i imagine him with a hip quiver! because you can't do somersaults barrel rolls with a quiver on your back!

details i enjoy: his cloak, i spent ages on it because i was overthinking what to do with his cloak of billowing vs his cloak of the secret garden (?) but i'm very happy with what i settled on

the detail in the undercut drove me crazy because again, characters are limited to 4 cace accessory and i was using one for the runes in the undercut. which i obviously changed but that brought me so much pain and misery /lh

im so happy with how his face, especially his eyes turned out because again, i struggled with them for some time. but now his face is SO perfect. except the lack of sideburns.. maybe something with the side hairs? i keep forgetting that's an option in this game

the little daisy earring. spur of the moment addition, so glad i did it.

details i do NOT enjoy: his outfit :( for all the others i knew what i was going for but with mudd i had no clue other than the cloak. it's based off his puppet outfit because i legitimately couldn't think of what he'd wear. i like the shoes and choice of belt but between this and the sideburns mudd is definitely next in line for a redesign

silly almost easter egg i added is that each of the colors of the rainbow is in his design at least once because dia's whole thing is rainbows and light and stuff. at first i just had it in the accessories and his whole outfit was blue pretty much but i looked at bart after completing all the accessories and i was like GODDAMMIT he has all the colors. and it's actually incorporated into the outfit AND it looks really good.

the fact that vee and i both designed his hat nearly exactly the same completely independently of each other is so epic.

i originally came up with the shoulder flower while working on mudd but i was like "oh wait gum gum's the flowers guy mudd's the animals guy." and gave it to him instead. and i'm very glad i did it fills in that space in the cloak very well.

speaking of the cloak, i very much enjoy it

things i do NOT enjoy:

honest, nothing comes to mind! maybe it's because he was the most recent to get revamped but its so wonderfully gum gum.

and last, and maybe least in stature but not in much else, bart!

things i enjoy about this design: the little thigh dagger. bart is totally the kind of man to strap a dagger to his thigh instead of just attaching the sheath to the belt like a normal person

i made him VERY visibly part dragonborn because it's honestly hilarious. because gum gum has known bart since he was a baby, he knows bart's just Like that. kyborg hadn't interacted with another person in like 30 years before he met them and mudd had probably never seen a halfling in his life, and even if he had, he wasn't just gonna have his first conversation with the guy be "i don't believe you when you say what race you are." tbh mudd's probably applies to kyborg as well. and bart assumed its just because of the different subraces of halfling. he's a stout halfling, alleve is a lightfoot halfling, no wonder she doesn't look like him!

also the hem of the pants is so fun and piratey and i love it and it's perfect.

i also gave him a crystal resembling his diagem, i haven't decided what's going on with that yet. i didn't give mudd one because no way in hell am i trying to make a ring WITH a diagem in it. how about no :3

things i do NOT enjoy: gl2 doesn't have enough curly hair options, specifically for rear hair. so bart's hair in this is not as accurate in this to my mind's eye as the others. its alright it does look good regardless

The Evil Advisor trope if said evil advisor actually wanted desperately to change the world for the better and protect his found family but was also still a sneaky greasy gremlin of a man.

(They also both commit some patricide together. Woo patricide. Voice actors sing beautiful rendition of Wicked's "For Good" song. I'm not crying. You're crying.)

Spymaster, poison connoisseur, haver of a very silly evil laugh and mannerisms. He and his aforementioned narrative foil look like they stepped out of Interview with the Vampire. Copious queer as hell found family. What's not to love?

Gareth: Gareth was assigned as Richard’s bodyguard since they were ten years old and is Richard’s only friend and when Richard bungles the conditions of a duel against his older brother Kingsley (Richard decides to represent himself and Kingsley chooses Gareth to represent him), Gareth sneaks Richard out of the castle and puts him on a boat with the only other man he’d believe to be able to keep him safe (the titular Galavant) and threatens to kill him if one hair on his head is harmed. Gareth does the “say you hate the dog to make it leave trick” to get Richard on the boat but Richard knows that it means that Gareth cares about him. As the ship sails away Gareth quietly says a line from the lullaby their nurse would sing them as children. When Gareth gets back to the castle he kills Kingsley and does his best to keep the woman who orchestrated the whole thing at bay.

The power of ‘Sparkle’ and ‘Darkle’ were kinda dumb, seeing the word ‘darkle’ being used in a serious context felt very out of place ngl.

one big highlight is the boss designs, a nice blend of masquerade with stage prop puppets, they were very fun

All of them have their own vibes, and stand out great. Well except there’s two of them with the same spotlight kinda theme.

It felt like an underwhelming ending

the plays and their stories were very stylized and cool, my favorite story probably being the hero plays with Mighty Peach.

In the first half you fight an alien invasion on Earth, and in the second one you go to the alien’s home planet to recuse the creatures that kidnapped. It’s a nice two parter story

Gameplay wise, my favorites are the baking stories. It was fun and challenging to finish all the patterns on the cakes, and baking all the cookies in time. Very cute and pretty calming. Made me smile

overall, I don’t think it was worth $60. Maybe $25-$30 overall, a good part of it due to the visuals. The more detailed transformation scenes blend well against the gameplay and don’t stand out in an obvious way. A lot of care went into the game, and I can appreciate that. Do kinda think a Mario cameo at the end of the credits would’ve been silly and cute, like he came to save Peach and hands her back her crown (she lost it at the start of the game). I know it’s meant to be a game about Peach, but it would’ve been cute

[Characters/OCs: Barry, Smiler, Gloomer, Lucifer/Puppeteer of Terrors and puppet residents of Lucifer's hometown]

[Barry is introduced to the puppeteer's 2nd creation and Smiler's little brother named Gloomer. Though the difference with him is that he is always a downer and filled with gloom and misery]

[Cuts to Barry and Smiler in Lucifer's hometown together, along with his other puppets)

(Barry hears Smiler calling out to someone)

Smiler: Hey! Hey! Lil bro! Over here! (Waves)

Barry: Miss Smiler, who are you waving at?

Smiler: My lil bro hun. I want him to come over here to meet you

Barry: Your lil bro? I didn't even knew that

hereesss a thing i did for your question hehe <3 its a tough call between a few of them fnaf 2, i really like how many there are and how the (of the time) new designs looked, bonnie is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes. withered bonnie my beloved <33 mangle my beloved <33 just so many cool/interesting animatronics yaknow? puppet is included in that with how it wasnt like a 'regular' animatronic sister location is also very good to me we got some actual voicelines from some of the animatronics which was awesome!!!! and i like how shiny and new they look im also a sucker for the cheeks funtime freddy and funtime foxy are so good to me, and the custom night, i like yendo a fair amount for some reason so thats also a plus love hate with bonnie becoming a hand puppet, it adds a lot to funtime freddy but also my guy has been shrunken :o((( UCN and fnaf sim go hand in hand to me mainly because all im really thinking about is the rockstar animatronics and the mediocre melodies (more specifically, rockstar bonnie and happy frog, they are two more of my favourites) individually though, fnaf sim had some good lore to give, i like the mini games and i like henrys speech at the end, sometimes it makes me cry a bit lefty is also very interesting with what its purpose was UCN i really like because of the voicelines <33333333 auuuhghghghgh the voicelines <333333 i love quoting them and i love seeing them (mostly) all together <3 i really wish every character was in it though :o((( i can understand why some were cut out sorta but its still sad :o(((((( security breach!!! is also a contender theres soooooooooo many problems with it but i love their designs and personalities so much <3333 AND BONNIE AND FREDDY. are. ahem. i love them your honour. i love making up how it actually is in my brain rather than sticking to what they actually gave us cause what they gave us was so half baked unfortunately GIVE ARTISTS TIME TO COMPLETE THEIR CRAFT!!!!!!!!! and PAY THEM WELL SO THEY CAN DO A GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!! but yea, a lot of missed potential, the dlc was fun but still similar issues monty was blamed btw, thats my view, his ass is innocent an honourable mention is fnaf 4 again, the minigames between each night offer lore which i think is very cool, also nightmare balloon boy exists in the dlc and thanks to that, he was in UCN and got some rad voicelines that i like :o))) rabid, feral little thing also just the suspense n things, i like the vibe n that youre just a lil guy runnin around tehe one thing to note is ive only barely played fnaf 1 and fnaf 3, the rest ive only watched playthroughs of bc scary and i have no money lmao if i had to give a hard answer on which one is my favourite i think id have to go withh... sister location because i feel like itd be most rewatchable and replayable for me (if i were able to play the games) enough different things happen that it doesnt feel monotonous and its just interesting and as i said with funtime freddy and funtime foxy, they are really good characters, though mainly elevated by their voices but thats the case for basically all the animatronics hehe but for sillies cause i just love understanding the animatronics as characters id say UCN

- Miwa introduced him to Danganronpa, he got super into it

- they play it together :))

- doesn’t shop :// but he’ll go along with his friends if they want to go

- wears a bracelet that Miwa made him 24/7 (its matching, they have little pon and zi charms 🥹)

- read homestuck, wasn’t super into it

- really likes being included in the buzzfeed unsolved nights!!

Suguru Geto:

- in his early years he 1000000% was similar to Megumi with the “iTs NoT a PhAsE” phase

- chilled out with age

- (still listens to the same music tho)

- probably worked at Spencer’s tbh

- he really likes my chem!!! Frank is his fav

- also listens to a lot of Franks other bands (Leathermouth was his fav)

- three days grace is his shit tho

- also big into Green Day!

- tbh I think he listened to a lot of dragonforce for awhile

- butterfly knife skills for dayyyysssss

- HAS teased the shit out of his hair at least once in THOSE days

- honestly he probably had a raccoon tail in his hair at some point or another

- not super on this list, he ain’t super emo, might’ve had a teensy bit of a scene phase

- makes fun of everyone for their taste in music, even though he also listens to some of it

Kento Nanami:

- has grown out of his emo phase

- every now and then he falls back into the music tho

- DEFINITELY was a my chem stan, super invested

- knew he wanted kids after watching them become parents

- edge lord extreme in his youth, love that for him 🖤

- has the intro dialogue to I’m Not Okay memorized

- he got caught by Suguru while sneaking out of school one night to go to some punk rock concert

- Suguru gave him a ride cause he was also on his way to the same concert

- had the leather spikey bracelets and matching choker like Megumi, gets WHIPLASH when he sees Megumi rocking the same shit years later

- fills him with pride tbh

- he listens to what The Kids are listening to these days, out of curiosity

- doesn’t hate it

- tbh he’s just happy watching the young emos do their thing

- has probably caught SOME of them sneaking out to go to a concert

- obviously drove them himself and told them to call him if they needed a ride back

Shoko Ieri:

- used to work at Spencers with him, probably stole some stuff and got fired

- Yuuji showed him modern emo bands, he showed Yuuji old emo bands in return

- caught Yuuji in one of his old band tees once, literally gave him some and made him listen to at least one song from every band

- smokes cigs cause he’s old enough to do so

- not too big on energy drinks but can be found drinking coffee nonstop

- has a choker that looks a lot like a dog collar

- call me crazy but I think he could rock a bridge piercing if he wanted to

Kankuro

(Anime only???) during the Chunin exam’s when he asked to go to the washroom so he could cheat. That was both creative and hilarious. They really put a child in handcuffs for the crime of needing to pee jfc 😭😭😭

When the first thing he did as soon as we met him was try and pick a fight with a much smaller, not even genin level child. Sir? SIR ARE YOU OK??? (Who are we kidding that was funny af)

His first chunin exam fight in general was ruthless and beautiful. It really set the stage for his fight against Shino being EPIC and then this dud really just forfeited 🥲🥲🥲 i can understand why Shino was so pissy he had every right to look forward to this fight. I mean, sir you did not need to let your puppet feed off of the opponents chakra like that. I know it’s your style but damn

Kankuro Vs Shino fight!!!! I know i said this in the Shino post but this fight was really cool on both sides and tbh should have been a highlight of why Shino should have been made a chunin. Kankuro was a formidable foe who was able to drain Shino’s chakra (and Shino vice versa) he really showed his talents in this fight and for it to end in a DRAW was amazing. Maybe not the most memorable fight in the show, but definitely one of Kankuro’s shinong

Moments

The shift in her personality/approach. During the chunin exam’s Kankuro is goofy but in an underhanded crafty sort of way. He’s there to do a job and you can see it in the way he allows himself to be goofy. But after the time skip he’s just openly silly. He can still be Seriouse and he is not an opponent to take lightly, but he’s also able to open up and being more free with his goofy nature and i love that for him.

How he goes from ‘i like this kid’ to ‘i’m going to kill him’ in .5 seconds when Naruto’s a rude little brat to him. Fully deserved kick his ass boy (you won’t win but it will be funny). Also just look at them glaring at each other! It’s fantastic.

Using Sasori’s body as a puppet. The disrespect, the absolute utter rudeness. I live for it!!!! Go Kankuro go, be a disrespectful lil shit Sasori deserves it lol.

(Anime only) during the wedding arc when he has this whole competition going on with Bee over which village will give Naruto a better gift. It was amazing on so many levels. I just love the over exuberance on both their parts and how they kept adding extreme gifts to show how amazing their village is and how much they love Naruto. Also poor Gaara and the pressure it put on him 😭😭😭 Kankuro be nice to your brother i beg of you
