@reilleclan-blog since you asked...
I try not to make my VP process a secret, there's literally nothing to hide, all the tools I use already come with the game, I utilize techniques anyone can learn, I don't do any fancy post-editing (other than rotating), and I think VP should be accessible for everyone.
I took these shots at "Star Lake", which is technically an out of bounds asset - you drive over this thing in the Star Ending of the game in the tank with Panam, so it requires some cheese in order to get to this location. I got inspired by a couple other bloggers here with their trips down to "Langley" (@arachnophobic-larantula & @mynonsenseistingling) and decided to go on a road trip myself. I spent about five hours exploring out of bounds and went all the way from the SoCal Border Checkpoint up to the Oil Fields. (I'll post my tourist photos another time. Technically, I'm still stuck behind the fence at the oil fields, but I'll figure it out later.)
If you need some detailed instructions on how to cross the border in vanilla versions of the game and get to Langley (and yes, you do need the fortified ankle cyberware, double jump will not cut it), this video is helpful:
youtube
If you're trying to get to Star Lake, once you cross the border follow the road south and when you get to the intersection head east. If you roughly follow the curve of the border wall and the ridge that splits thae map between in bounds and out of bounds, you should bump into it.
It was dark when I got to the lake, so the lighting actually wasn't optimal but I stopped because the ground was shiny. It took me a minute to figure out what the heck I was looking at, but funny thing about this lake is that it's just a reflective texture suspended over the lake bed, it's not even water. You can drive and walk through it.
Once I realized the lake was just texture, I walked in, popped open the camera, and started swinging the thing around and playing around with all the effect settings and the poses just to see what I could get. And that's the process for all my VP. I mainly rely on whatever lighting I can find, intersting locations, angles, and juxtaposition, because those are the techniques you have the most leeway with on console and in vanilla photomode.
Anyway, the shot on the left was one of the first pics I took at this location. With how dark the water is and the limited amount of light, I realized that a shilouette style photo was only gonna work at a distance. But I wanted to see what else I could get, so I went the opposite direction of what I thought I wanted. I turned V around so her back was facing the moon towards the light, pretty much maxed out the exposure and brightness settings, bumped up the contrast a smidge, cycled through the poses (Night City Strut is always a favorite), put the field of view down to 15, rotated the camera angle 90 degrees, adjusted my camera to frame the shot how I wanted. Boom. Photo on the right.
P.S. If you do venture out of bounds, make a save file from before you cross the broder (do not overwrite it just in case you need an easy exit out) and save often and keep multiple save files while you are out there. You will die and you will get stuck and there is no fast travel. Also, make sure you have a decent amount of eddies on hand, insurance kept charging me everytime I called a vehicle. Fucking rat bastards...

In Search of Lost Time
Here's my unimportant little story:
I spent 10 years of my life (I'm now 43) being a passionate fashion, interior, and art blogger and influencer. I quit this year, because I got sick of a lot of shit (particularly the fakeness of most of my peers in the fashion world, and the fashion world itself) and this socalled 'career' was taking me nowhere. That I got successful at it was something very organic and absolutely unexpected (I was an early bird getting the worm too), but I continued with it, despite my lifetime dream to become an avant-garde artist (before I started being a blogger, I had just gotten rejected from Egon Schiele's former academy of arts).
In my heyday, I was one of the top fashion bloggers in Germany. I left a giant body of work and every bit of it was 100% me. I called my style 'minimal luxe' and it consisted of a quiet elegance with lots of leather since I've been an anarchist and punk at heart for most of my life, of architectural and playful silhouettes because I actually studied architecture and as a designer, I wanted to achieve formal beauty with my outfits, minimalist, because I believe in a very much needed environmental-friendly philosophy that encourages people to consume less and stick to essentials. I played with proportions, asymmetric lines, volume, high quality materials and textures, shapes. I was bullied when I was younger for always wearing black and was even nicknamed 'Morticia' by my classmates (no, I was never a goth, but I felt black was elegant).
Even though, back then there were a few bloggers with a similar aesthetic, what I created was very individual, since it mixed things that only belong to me based on my ideals and experiences. I struggled for years not posting what the algorithm 'liked' (I got sick of sneaker outfits which was what most people wanted to see), but thought some day it would pay off to be myself. Well, it didn't. After a few years a handful of extremely hyped new younger influencers appeared and all of a sudden, I saw them wearing ALL of the same small niche brands I did for years, I saw them wearing similar silhouettes, a similar aesthetic and sometimes even nearly identical outfits. Some go as far as posting the exact topics I did since my beginning (film, fine art, architecture). If I post Bergman's Persona, you'll see them the next day posting a story about it, if I threw myself off a bridge, so will day. But nobody (expecially younger folks) gives a shit, because the past doesn't matter to them, but who and what is 'in' today is what is relevant. I do hope karma bites them in the ass at some point in their later lives to see how it feels like to be the early bird and be replaced. And maybe this rant concerns no-one and it is irrelevant with our current climate change crisis and ongoing war, it seems even banal. But how do I recover and search my lost time?
It's so weird to see a girl in their early 20's and 30's dressing up like a 40 year old. And what is weirder is the lack of identity/personality and intellectual honesty taking credit for what is not theirs. It's so much fun to find yourself while you are young than just emulating another human being. It's so much fun to embrace your true ideals and beliefs and express them with fashion (I doubt any of these girls have concerns about global warming or minimalism by flexing in a disturbingly constant manner their new designer gifts, or listen to punk or that they were called Morticia when they were younger).
Do you want to be an influencer? Don't waste your time, that's my two cents. Today you are at the top and tomorrow you are nothing replaced by younger, more beautiful, skinnier girl (if they happen to be white, their privilege does the rest). Invest that energy in something that will leave your positive mark in the world FOREVER and not in something so vapid and ephemeral, so self-centered as a fashion influencer. Despite everything, I still do believe that if you follow your passion you will be the best at it.

In My San Diego Garden and Kitchen
The garden harvests are thin when I lead with rhubarb, though admittedly the stalks were exceptionally long and high quality. Much of the garden has gone on hiatus with our ten day heat wave.
Two blocks from the ocean we’ve been in the 80’s and low 90’s with near matching humidity. Thankfully, Hurricane Kay, now a tropical storm dissipates, leaving only the remnant humidity. Bands of rain from the storm provided 0.6 inches of gentle precipitation which was welcome and unusual this early in September. Our rain tanks garnered about 400 gallons of water which will help when I begin planting the cool season garden later this month.
I used the rhubarb for a strawberry guava-rhubarb sauce. The guava crop has been a disappointment this season with much of the fruit dropping before turning the lovely deep red and developing full flavor. The majority of the fruit now goes to the compost bin since the unripe guavas make a lackluster puree. Mixed with the rhubarb compote the flavor deficit is not so noticeable, so I did process about four quarts of puree.
The garden highlight for last week was the shelling of the dried cranberry beans. It was a garden experiment and I only sowed one ounce of seed in a 1 foot x 3 foot area. The yield, though only 12 ounces, was high quality and I’ve saved enough seed to double the planting next year. More on the cranberry bean experiment in an upcoming post.
Though I long for garden lettuce, some purchased organic baby red butter lettuce made a perfect base for my garden additions—’Baby Belle’ peppers and beets from the spring harvest. Fresh SoCal sourdough bread and an exceptional ‘Early Girl’ tomato and more of the superb lettuce composed the first and maybe last BLT of the season.
Every flower in the bouquet on the left triggers a memory, especially the anemone from my sister’s garden. The ‘Queen Red Lime’ zinnias are terribly mildewed. Unless I can bury the stems in a larger bouquet, I just select a few and float in water.
I’ve recently added a new to page my website. Check Garden Tasks This Week. Then head over to see what other garden bloggers around the world harvested last week at Harvest Monday hosted by Dave at Happy Acres blog.

Deep Inspiration Breath-Hold (DIBH) Techniques for Reducing Cardiotoxicity of Breast Cancer Radiotherapy Biomedical Journal of Scientific & Technical Research
https://biomedres.us/fulltexts/BJSTR.MS.ID.006048.php
One of major advances in contemporary radiotherapy is Four- Dimensional Radiation Therapy (4D-RT). The fourth dimension is time, meant here as a change of the target and organs at risk in time, i.e. during a treatment session and planning. In general, it is a technique in which period motion due to respiration is considered. Management of respiratory motion effects during treatment has different forms, from simple integration of respiratory movements into treatment planning to define more individualized margins, to respiratory gating and tracking techniques. In most cases, the goal of this technology is to reduce the respiratory motion effects. Deep Inspiration Breath-Hold (DIBH) technique used in radiotherapy of breast cancer is 4D-based, because it is a special kind of gating, i.e. the irradiation of patients is carried out only in the phase of deep inspiration, however, its unique goal here is not the reduction of margins but the shift of target away from the heart by increasing the volume of lung between the irradiated breast and heart.
We have gathered a lot of evidences that giving higher doses to heart and a Left Anterior Descending Artery (LAD) increases cardiotoxicity and a risk of major coronary events. A linear relationship has been found between Mean Heart Dose (MHD) and the rate of major coronary events, which was estimated to increase by 7.4% per Gy of the MHD [1]. Additionally, clinical data show that LAD doses might be better predictors of acute cardiac events than MHD [2]. This may be of a special concern in left-sided plans, as with a proximity of the heart and coronary vessels to the target an achievement of recommended by the guidelines MHD as low as 2.0-2.5 Gy is challenging [3,4], especially, in some patients with socalled unfavorable anatomy, i.e. with high body mass index and/or large adherence of the heart to the thoracic wall. DIBH has proved to be effective in reduction of doses given to LAD and heart in leftsided plans compared to plans realized in Free Breathing (FB) [5- 7]. It is also a technique that has some pitfalls and its feasibility for all patients has been challenging. In this review, we summarize the technical aspects, dosimetry/clinical benefits, and some limitations of the use of DIBH in breast cancer radiotherapy.

Finally, my traveling companions and I have departed for PA! I’ll be live-blogging our trip across the country as we go, starting today, July 8th, in Northern California.
Tumblr media
The sky is very blue, the sun is very bright, and the trucks are very big. I’m a passenger for this particular venture, because I’m the designated blogger! We departed at 4:30 this afternoon, two and a half hours after I wanted to leave 😂
There is also a small dog in the car! His name is Cyrus and he is the bane of my existence.
We’re heading east to Nevada, but before we get there I shall be imparting my opinion on California.
I like CA, tbh, although where I live is a bit of a hick central. Towns are far apart, separated by miles of dry grass ripe for the burning 😭😭
SoCal is not my cup of tea, but we may pass through it on the way back home. CA is about the size of France, with the largest population of any state. It’s also v hot and dry and catches on fire if you look at it wrong.
The biodiversity of NorCal is off the charts, and I love camping and road-tripping around the sierra nevadas, the eastern California mountain range. Unfortunately, I frequently get carsick on the winding mountain roads.
Luckily for me, we’re mostly avoiding the mountains on our way to Nevada, and it’s smooth sailing to Winnemucca!
See you in Nevada!

My Coming Out Story
Like many people within the LGBTQ commmunity I am on a long journey that seems to never end as far as being comfortable and confident within myself and who I choose to be as an individual. I first came out as a lesbian my sophomore year of high school, a month after both of my grandfathers had passed away. Now, I didn’t come out then because I felt as if they wouldn’t have accepted me at that time (because I know they both would’ve loved me the same). The only reason I came out at that given time was because my mother would constantly ask me “You’re a pretty girl. Why haven’t you dated yet?” And then, with a long pause she’d ask “Are you gay?” And I laughed it off—saying “Oh, god no. I’m not gay. You’re hilarious.” As we continued our walk, I finally stopped her and began crying and I told her “Mom, I’m gay.” And she cried, hugged me and was as supportive as she possibly could be— a bunch of her side is either gay or lesbian and they are married as well. Telling my fathers side was a completely different story. I am the only gay or “outcast” on that side and I know for many of us within the LGBTQ Community that it never gets easier.
Since coming out, I have explored different genders and thoughts of different things, etc. I am finally comfortable enough and confident to say that I am non-binary and I go by: they/them pronouns. That is what I feel most comfortable with at this day and age, but who knows? Sexuality and someone’s coming out journey can be a process, but it can also be a beautiful journey to see someone finally becoming his/her/their authentic self.
One thing I’d like whomever reading this to be is to not judge or make fun of others for being unsure of their sexuality or being unsure of who they truly are—because everyone has good and bad days, everyone’s parents may not be as accepting as yours were and that’s okay. People may become bullied or harassed from coming out and to those victims I want to say how sorry i am because no one should be bullied or picked on for just being themselves. People also come out at different ages. Some could be married and have a child— then come out years later, which is also okay. Just know that wherever you may be in your process— you’lll never be alone and youy’lll always be wanted. I want you to know that coming out is a big step, so take it with whatever grace you can and enjoy the journey and learn to love yourself a little more each day. Loving yourself and being surrounded by ones who truly care about you and want you to succeed is key to believing in yourself and what obstacles may be in your way, I know you’ll fight them off and be happy, because all I want for someone along the coming out journey is to be happpy—truly happy. 🏳️‍🌈❤️

SoCal Rain
It seems it has been raining every few days here in California. After having a pretty crazy drought I’m all for this weather.
I see more people complaining as time passes but come on guys, We hardly ever get rain. We already know summer will be hot and dry and for all we know next years rainy season might be nonexistent so let’s enjoy this.
Everything looks so green too. I love it.
My ex, who by the way I am still friends with which everyone finds weird since we broke up a few months ago, said he didn’t leave England for sunny weather only to find himself in rainy weather again haha
I write this as I’m doing laundry, watching TV while I drink coffee, and listening to the rain hehe
Happy Sunday everyone.
:0)
