Today was much slower than the past few days, but it was still wonderful. Did my AM routine, read a few pages, made my favourite lunch, and had a little treat, did some journaling, then read for the rest of the afternoon, did my usual evening routine, then headed out on my sunset walk which has quickly become one of the best parts of my day - I mean come on!! Look at that landscape, and look at those sheep and lambs!!
Anyway once back home I cleaned up before getting ready for bed, which involved trying to stretch on my yoga mat that my dog was using as a pillow, I’m now doing some journaling and planning to set the week up as best as I can.

After a beautiful sunset walk last night I must say, April showers really do bring May flowers. 🌸
For me, there is something so peaceful about walking as the sun is setting. It’s almost like meditating because it allows me to clear my mind and free it from all that is going on around me. It helps me release the stress of daily life and recharge my energy for the next day. Plus, the fiery sky and all of the flowers really help with that mood boost. ☀️✨

Today has been incredible!
Did my AM routine, cleaned, exercised, then started working on some notes, post lunch I sat in the garden and got all my notebooks in order (I’ve been trying to condense them), once done I did more cleaning, then my usual evening routine, followed by an absolutely massive (unplanned) hour long walk. It was so so beautiful - sunset, sheep, horses, rabbits, and of course all the bird song. Eventually made it home, cleaned up, stretched whilst enjoying a bit of chocolate, and now I’m curled up in bed doing my evening journaling, then a little reading before heading to sleep.

Golden Enys Dodman Arch.
I sat on top of the cliffs watching the crowds in the distance watching the sunset from the Land’s End hotel, whilst I had this view all to myself as the golden light lit up the ocean right through the stone arch.

This evening I went on a little sunset walk after a little bookbinding session in order to decompress and get outside one more time before the light faded. Five minutes into the walk I found this UNO card on the ground.
I’ve gotten into the habit of finding and collecting playing cards I find on the street after noticing that I find them quite often. When I was little and would play card games with my family, I would always look into the eyes of the face cards and get butterflies in my stomach. The queens and kings pictured were not just cartoons to me, but relics of our human history. We’ve been playing games for as long as our kind has been in existence; games, card games especially, are simple portals into our psyche, utilizing the skill set of our consciousness for entertainment. Sitting around a card table is like sitting around a fire.. the participants are connected with these small symbols that hold temporary significance understood by all who is present.
Finding lone playing cards is funny to me, because they are simply out of context. It’s like a glitch in the simulation, a reminder that the course of the tracks can be switched at any given time. I’ve been having a weird week already, teetering on complete bliss in my own sovereignty and nervousness that I will always be alone. Finding this card was reassuring. Both nines and green are good signs to me, and green is also the color of the heart chakra. Something is telling me that if I stick to my path, I’ll be dealt the right hand.
