USHIJIMA despite his dense personality at times, he has a strong soft spot for the kids. he always goes to their school events with you by his side, plans family outings and always brings back a gifts or two when he travels out of town for games. he is also very protective and wants to ensure you and their safety, like baby-proofing the sides of cabinets, drawers and tables and whatnot. he also watches a plethora of parenting videos daily and saves several of those parenthood sites and facebook groups too. communication is key to him and tries to brew up random conversations with them while their young, listening to their babbles creating conversations, its adorable to you watching ushijima make their chatter into something humorous. when they are older now, he can’t seem to tell them no, he’d give the world and more to them if he could.

TENDOU is quite known for being a handful with how loud and cheerful he may be to come across to others. but the day he became a father and welcomed his sweet bundle of joy in his arms, he calmed down a bit and became more mature. he loves to dress them up in cute outfits to take pictures and small videos that he sends to you when you’re away, might even make a whole scene to dress them up in dinosaur costumes and make tiny skits of them demolishing their playpens. as they get older he’s able to do more festivities with them, taking them to tourist attractions and more. though he can get carried away sometimes with these crazy little adventures and tasks he does— he wants to be the fun parent and wants no time to waste in making these times memorable.

BOKUTO are the kid’s favorite, the best for cheering them up and lightening the moods with his playful characteristics, he can almost pass off as a kid if he tried hard enough. he’s a sucker for the quality time, introducing them to more games and the newest gaming systems. he’ll join the kids when they are drawing, or even play a few games of hide and seek [ he’s such an expert that they would eventually give up in finding him and do something else! ]. he’s also really good with advice when he wants to be, they can ask him anything and be completely comfortable and honest with him cause he’s not one to judge and will always make conversations the best ones. he also loves when the kids tag along with him, weather thats going to the store or running boring errands that they soon regret to join in, he loves their company— he’ll even make little events with the kids friends inviting them over for movie nights and going to the arcades.

Hey if the ask game is still open: what about an au where Izuku is Nana Shimura's grandson, and seeks out Toshinori Yagi because of his relationship to her not knowing hes all might?

hmmmmmm

1- One day, when Izuku has a school event inviting his dad, he knows he could just ask him mom to show up- she wouldn't be the only mother there- but he asks about his grandfathers, since some kids will be bringing theirs. Inko admits she never knew her parents, having grown up in a group home after her mother died. "I have a note from my mother though, with his name."

2- Curious, Izuku asks if he can see the letter, and Inko pulls it out from the fireproof box with their family registry and other such important documents. It's from her mother, who wrote it while she was pregnant with Inko. She warned that she knew she would 'have to go soon'- Inko assumes that the pregnancy was going poorly and she feared dying of it- but that she wanted Inko to have something if not memories of her. Inko's told that she has a brother, Kotaro, who was adopted after their father died and Nana 'got the bad news' to spare him losing her. The letter also tells of Toshinori, who Nana hopes to spend a bit more time with, but is old enough to be fine, left with her good friend for a few more years. The letter is only signed "I love you, your mother."

3- Inko kept the letter, dear to her, but never tried to look further for her family- it was a goodbye letter, after all, and better to look forward. Izuku looks at the brief description of his grandmother's, grandfather's, and uncle kotaro's quirks (nothing mentioned of uncle Toshinori's) and is curious. He does want to start looking. Inko, doubtful he'll find anything, says he can try but not to worry about her feelings on it.

4- Izuku does manage to eventually track down something though- knowing the general area, names, and ages of his uncles and grandfather even if its not much. He sends out a letter, explaining who he is and asking if this is the Toshinori his grandmother mentioned and apologizing if not.

He gets a response- a tentative one, that Toshinori stayed with a woman named Nana Shimura who had to give up her children before she died, before she could fully adopt him.

Izuku, who'd been trying to figure out if the late Kotaro Shimura was the other uncle mentioned but unsure until then, has figured it out.

5- Toshinori writes to Gran too, after- this is after his first fight with AfO, and they think him dead, and so perhaps its a sign from Nana, that her grandson's reaching out. Gran scoffs, thinking thats a hopelessly optomistic and romantic justification.... but it'd be just like her, so yeah. doesn't see a problem with Toshinori answering it.

(Gran, a couple years later: i said you could answer him, not adopt him!)

Hey, idk if you talked about this, but I’ve been thinking something about the Inko Shimura theory. So far in the series, Izuku’s dad has been kept a secret for suspense purposes, right (cough cough DFO)?? Well, we also never never get to see Nana’s husband either which I found weird cause it is implied that her husband’s is the reason why she gave up Kotaro. I feel like Horikoshi could have totally drawn a panel where Nana finds her dead husband’s corpse. He draws Nana and Kotaro together but never her husband. Since Nana is the one working, her husband would have enough time to hang out with his family but it’s never shown. Could the reason because he has way too many of Inko’s features and Horikoshi doesn’t want the fans to connect the dots?? Sorry it got long

I mentioned nanas husband a few times in the past but never really put to much focus on him in my dfo or inko shimura metas, mostly because we know almost nothing about him (similar how we almost know nothing about hisashi).

While I dont talk much about him, I have my own theorys and just like you said I also think the reason why hori hasnt shown us what he looked like is because he will have some physical resemblance to inko and would readers give the chance to connect the dots way to soon.

If we look at kotaro for example we can see he comes a lot after his mother appearance wise. He pretty much looks like a male version of his mother. An interesting thing in mha is that usually all the characters look a lot like their mothers and only have some few traits of their fathers.

While I DO LIKE the inko shimura theory and believe in it, I have to say I dont think inko and nana have many similaritys even when inko was younger. The only thing they seem to have in common is a similar hair style and all might mentioning that for some reason inko reminds him of nana but cant really explain why (he says maybe its because of the hair but he is unsure). But like you said its still very possible that inko simply comes more after her father the same kotaro comes a lot after his mother.

I have the headcanon if izuku really didnt inherited his freckles from his father (when afo was younger), then he got them from his grandfather from his mothers side. Inkos hair is dark green in the anime (in the manga her hair color is not confirmed but I guess its the same) and her eyes are big and round, her face is round as well so all of that could come from her father. Since we know almost nothing about him its fun to speculate about what he looked like.

We dont know if nanas husband was a hero, stay at home dad or if he had an other job, we only know he was murdered. And while we dont have any confirmation yet, I think its not far fetched to say that he was most likely killed by afo. My personal headcanon is, he made afo believe that he is the current ofa owner to protect his family and to give nana time to flee with kotaro (and inko she was pregnant with at that time) and as soon as afo realized he was tricked he killed nanas husband, also as a warning towards her that the same thing could happen to her child(ren) if she doesnt give him ofa. Thats why she gave kotaro in foster care and why I think she left inko in an orphanage or the hospital (with her scarf, because inko wears an identical looking scarf like nanas at one point) after her birth.

All in all like you said its strange that hori still hasnt shown us nanas husband in at least a tiny flashback moment, despite that his death had apparently such a huge impact on her that she would stop to smile and only startet to do so again when a young all might became a part of her life. So yes I do feel like hori is deffinitetly trying to hide something about nanas husband, the same how he is hiding hisashis identity (which at this point is so damn obvious afo its mind blowing how some people can still deny it!)

Considering the amount of parallels between Tomura and Izuku, I wouldn't be surprised if Izuku's dad turns out to be an asshole, similar to Kotaro (whether he is DFO or not)

I would even go as far as to say that maybe Izuku's father isn't shown yet because Izuku doesn't even remember him. He knows he HAS/HAD a dad, but we just don't see any memories of him

Actually - and I'm on-the-spot thinking here - I wonder if Izuku's dad could be some kind of Official guy or something from abroad. So like, the international Heroes would come over when Hori introduces them, and there's some kind of government guy with them or something and the guy is his dad, who was keeping a tight-lipped secret with the government and it was a danger to his family so he had to go away

Lmao I mean the likelihood of this happening is quite slim, but I think it's something Hori could pull

Regardless of the where and why, it WOULD be interesting if Izuku's father had the same qualities that Koutarou had, maybe not abusive, but emotionally neglectful of his families feelings or smthg. Or just a straight up asshole

It's such an unknown cause we don't have enough information on this guy, we only know that his quirk is he breathes fire and its implied that he pays for stuff/sends money over to the family (I mean... we've never seen Inko talk about a job or anything. She could have one, but all I'm saying is she hasn't talked about it or been shown to have one)

If DFO theory is true, then that does add the parallel of My Life Was Ruined By My Father And All I Got Was This Trauma And Multiple Quirks parallel that Izuku and Tomura would have, which would connect them even more. Also that would totally make Tomura and Izuku BROTHERS?? Which would be very funny and cool

I think Hori has the potential to connect these two even more by making Izuku's dad similar to Koutarou and/or have both dads give the same lasting effect on their sons (memory loss and repressing trauma)

Either way, it would be another parallel to add to the EVER GROWING LIST Izuku and Tomura have

“better yet, why dont we find your ring? “ he looked at the bleached blond guy rounding him who looked like he WANTED to be someone important but got his style ideas from the ‘80s yakuza magazines. Kotaro gripped a clawlike hand on the others bicep- or rather- the lack thereof, hauling him back without breaking a sweat.

he smelled the guys sour nervous sweat knowing fully well it came from the cheap pastic shirt he was wearing that made to look like it was silk but even the blind could have seen it was fake and cheap just like this guy from a mile away. 

“if he gets a chance to run off you can kiss goodbye for good to your ring.” he whispered into her ear as he gave a sweet but decent and respectful kiss to her cheek. ‘love your new perfume by the way, get me the male counterpart.” he added on a louder voice. he was honestly a sucker for couples scent. already ready to get her mexx since he loved the more spicy scents on her. 

he sat in her chair pulling it in and patting the armrest for her to sit on. “ you are not excused so stay where you are.” he said on a commanding voice to the male. he tapped into Rans warehouse footage pinpointing hours when the workers had their breaks. thats more of the time when they had time to plot out their masterplan to richness. 

unsurprisingly, there was a group of 5 workers including the man standing in Rans office. he switched to the end of the shift and forwarded the footage watching the idiots who didnt even bother covering their faces to go back and watch while one of them pocketed a few things not just the ring. common mistake but Kotaro was a little underwhelmed how predictable these guys have been. 

he clicked to the workers check in sheet for that shift and picked out all five of them printing out the data on them. bending he got the guys info from the floor and sneaked a peak to Rans legs. she was irresistible after all. “you have a daughter in kindergarten ...” he read it from the sheet not a question but the guy nodded regardless. “ didnt you say your dad has that Chinese friend... you know who likes little girls? I kinda want to eat that poppy cake again he send last time we did business with them. “ he mused aloud on a honeysweet voice. true he did deal in poppy and legal opioids for pharmacies but  the worker didnt know that he only looked dumb for a heartbeat and placing 2+2 together he started begging and whimpering. Kotaro knew Ran would play along but if she really needed the intervention he would gladly provide actual service to retrieve whats been misplaced.  “i think nobody needs impotent people and unreliable people in their employment so if you do understand our position here you better round up your friends and put back what you lifted. or we will be doing the lifting and this island is not big enough to hide. “ he pulled his mouth to the side in distaste. 

“naturally im in no position but I think you are lucky to be working for her and not me. if you were working under me you wouldnt have hands to lift anything.” he stated without suggesting it to be otherwise.  

he got up helping her into her own seat and went to the little fridge he got for her office and took the boxed lunch of chicken breast and potato-egg salad with onions and mayo and a bottle of water and a two medium sized ice cream he already arranged for her. he took out his own lunch which was tuna salad with side of the same potato salad and placed the ice cream on coasters. 

sitting on the sofa beside her desk he was right at home and offered her own lunch cracking the lid off with his teeth. dumping the salad on a plate for her he fished in the cupboard for knife and fork not caring about the guy who looked like he could piss himself in any moment. he was in a domestic bliss and he didnt care about anyone else. he rubbed over the knife and fork and placed it down for her. “here you go, my queen. if you want we can share or mix the lunches. anything goes. you just say it.” he talked on a quite purring voice. it wasnt sucking up to her but rather showing the guy that in this place she was in charge and even HE wasnt above her. it was her choice how she wanted to handle them not Kotaros to fire them. so he kept his mouth shut and indulged her.

Thoughts on Detective Pikachu (SPOILERS VERSION)

So in this post, I will be discussing (in this order) background Pokemon, the Greninjas, that scene from the trailers where the ground is going crazy, Bulbasaur march, Bill Nighy, Mewtwo, a huge plot twist, a spoiler character, and another huge plot twist.

So if you don’t want to go into the movie knowing anything about any of this, which i highly recommend, then DO NOT READ PAST THIS PAGE BREAK.  IF YOU ARE ON A WEB BROWSER THAT DOES NOT DO PAGE BREAKS, SCROLL AS FAST AS YOU CAN UNTIL YOU GET TO WHATEVER THE NET POST ON YOUR DASH IS.

I’d keep all this to myself until the movie’s been out longer, but I have to talk about it now or else I will explode.

Also keep in mind, I haven’t played the actual Detective Pikachu game, so if this stuff was in that game already and I’m talking about it like its so original and its annoying you, then I apologize beforehand.

Background Pokemon: basically, what you see in the trailers and promo spots is what there is.  I mean, there’s photos of others (like Totodile, who’s lookin reeeeally weird) and artistic representations (Geodude and Natu show up on an Ancient Egyptian-styled mural) and such.  But other than that, it’s just the same few critters over and over and over.  It gets ridiculous near the end of the movie, when there’s just, like, twenty Sneasels in one shot.  But you know what, the quality of the individual models more than makes up for the quantity, I suppose.

The Greninjas: these guys in the first trailer were what sold the movie concept for me, and I am so proud of my creepy drugged-up assassin frogs.  They were genuinely disturbing and threatening, and made for great minor antagonists.  Except...they’re barely in it.  Maybe for, like, five minutes.  They’re introduced (via jump scare), they’re released, they kidnap the news girl, they chase the main characters into the forest, they get beat up by Psyduck.  Not counting all their background scene appearances (yes, there’s good frogs in the movie as well, its just the bad frogs were the advertised ones), they’re barely there.  I feel cheated slightly.  Still, my fave starter made quite an impression and were friggin astounding.  Also, one of the best models in the movie.

Crazy Ground: so my prediction was that it would be one giant Torterra doing all that, ever since that one trailer that revealed Torterras model was revealed.  I was wrong.  It is seven giant Torterras in one of the most awe-inspiring visual sequences I have ever experienced in a movie theater.  I’m not exactly a fan of Sinnoh, but oh my gosh you guys are on to something them turtles are astounding.  And it took me a very long time to figure out how Pikachu got knocked out, basically he gets bumped in the chest by a rock and almost dies.  Makes no sense, until you remember Pikachus are weak to Ground.  Anyway, that leads to the Bulbasaurs.

Bulbasaur March: those angels.  Those beautiful puppies.  Those precious little creatures.  Were working for Mewtwo the whole time, which completely took me off guard cuz I was expecting the healer to be a Venusaur.

Bill Nighy and the Huge Plot Twist, Part 1: fitting that his Eevee evolved into a Flareon, which is now pretty much associated with being a False Prophet.  The kindly fellow turned out to be the bad guy, seeing Pokemon as the final evolution of human beings and wanting to heal not only his own frail body but everyone else’s.  Which then starts the third act, which is basically “Bill Nighy’s Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Self-Insert Fanfiction.”  Starring Bill Nighy as Mewtwo.  And you realize this when he transfers his brain to Mewtwo, who then grins.  Like, full-on slasher smile.  And then he talks.  Like, not psychically, he moves his friggin mouth and its the first time i have ever seen Mewtwo lip-synced and its honesty kind of uncanny and disturbing, but also very well animated and Bill Nighy’s power-trip voice acting is so good.  Bill Nighy just did so good as the main antagonist.

Huge Plot Twist, Part 2: but you know what, this might be one of my favorite plot twists ever put to family cinema.  In this current attitude of needing to subvert expectations, most directors miss the part where you need to replace that expectation with something better (not looking at anyone in particular, Rian Johnson, anyway).  The movie sets up the twist as Bill Nighy is the kindly old mentor who needs to stop his arrogant son from ruining everything.  Any normal family movie would just run with that.  But here, they subvert that twist by making the twist be that the kindly old mentor is actually a crazed power-mad furry megalomaniac.  THAT IS HOW YOU SUBVERT EXPECTATIONS.  YOU LOOK AT THE CONTEXT OF YOUR FILM AND YOUR AUDIENCE, AND YOU WRITE SOMETHING THAT THEY EXPECT, AND REPLACE IT WITH A MORE SATISFYING TWIST.

Mewtwo: he’s voiced by two people I had not heard of previously (Kotaro Watanabe, who apparently voiced him in XY according to IMDB?, and Rina Hoshiro).  Their voices are layered on each other, but mostly masculine, but also predominately aetherial, and its like ASMR just listening to him talk.  And the trailers and vectors do not do him justice, he is so friggin handsome in this film.  He is intimidating and mysterious, but patient and kind as well.  And he smiles.  Not Billtwo’s creepy slasher smile, no that’s not what I’m talking about here.  He smiles, so small but so sweetly.  And basically, my confused childhood crush on him is back but its not confusing any longer, I can’t deny it, I-frigin-fuc-I just-no-yes I-FRAG I fell in love with Mewtwo.  Thanks, Rob Letterman.  Also, my mom’s wise words sum him up here as well: “I always knew he was a good boy.”  Anyway, that rumor I heard about them considering making a Mewtwo movie better be true, I need that in my life.  Although he IS the same Mewtwo from the very first Pokemon movie, so I guess the remake that’s coming out is technically his movie?  But still, I want one with his design HERE.

The Spoiler Character: is Miss Norman, the dominatrix Ditto (also maybe Missingno, that’s a theory I read and I like it).  Now, Ditto technically was already spoiled in the TCG, but still.  It’s a creepy little brat, it can turn into any human or Pokemon whether said human or Pokemon is in its line of sight, and its a freak of nature even amongst Dittos.  And the Ditto eyes on humans?  Oh gosh get that away from meeeee.  The biggest downside is that she’s going to kick off a whole slew of fanart that I don’t know if I want to see, and considering I’m stating that after stating my crush on Mewtwo then that’s something.

The Other Big Plot Twist: You all called it.  Detective Pikachu is Tim’s dad.  And Ryan Reynolds just shows up at the end of the movie, he and Tim have rekindled their father/son relationship, but he doesn’t remember what all happened and the Pikachu can no longer speak.  So I have no idea how a Detective Pikachu 2 would even work at this point, but the ending was so sweet that I will just let this go.

AAAAAAND THATS IT FROM ME.  whew.  glad i didn’t explode.

You are so right with saying Giran being Nana's villain husband is more fun than with AFO. Also in your tags Giran being like, "we could've just had joint custody you didn't have to hide him from me :///" Though this makes me wonder Kotaro's thoughts on the whole matter, I mean he would still hate his mom, but what about his dad

oh thank you for asking because Kotaro's thoughts are. so much.

SO, his mom tells him out of the blue that his dad died and it must have something to do with her work, except she's a hero, and she's sending him away like he did something wrong, and he's mourning and panicking and stuck with a new name he hates.

THEN he grows up, finally gets his own space, and goes to change his name ONLY for his DEAD DAD to show up, ALIVE apparently, saying that his mother was LYING about that, BUT NOW his MOM is dead and its PROBABLY got something to do with his DAD'S work because thats SUPER SUS. and he still can't change his name back. and its extremely awkward because his dad did come back for him, kinda, and was apparently looking the whole time but apparently not very well and he's STILL lying and keeping secrets from Kotaro and apparently ISNT as mad at Nana as he should be ("it was way overkill to fake my death and send you away, but on the other hand, i guess that *is* kinda part of what i really liked about her...") and like, they're both different now? its been over a decade? he's never going to get his old family back and he's sure not happen when he tries to start a new family (Giran once drily rose a brow and asked Kotaro if the home he was sent to hit him a lot, though he didn't raise a hand to Tenko again, he managed to feel even angrier) and somehow SOME GUY connected to BOTH his parents gives Tenko a nuke of a quirk so his dad recommends basically just. repeating his mom's plan. taking the kids and sending the rest off elsewhere under yet another cover. the whole situation is just... bad

I want to talk a little bit about the “Inko Shimura” theory and while Im not 100% convinced about it and there are not as many hints as with the dad for one theory, its not as impossible as some people seem to think. Remember there were almost no hints about the “Shirakumo is Kurogiri” theory and in the end it was true. This post is inspired by similar posts of @gentrychild​ and @psychomurderz​ and I will just list a few hints that support the theory.

First hint: All might says Inko reminds him of Nana.

Here All might tells Izuku that he “cant put his finger on it” why Inko reminds him of Nana. In the end he mentions they have the same hair, but that alone is clearly not the only reason why he feels like that. He is unsure himself. Of course Inkos motherly and protective nature could remind him of Nana too, but he doesnt mention that. And knowing Hori he didnt include this moment for nothing. There was by itself no reason why Hori should include this, if he doesnt want us to remember it later. And while I personally dont see much of a resemblance between Nana and Inko when it comes to their looks, in the bnha universe they seem to be similar, otherwiese All might wouldnt have mention that. 

If you look at them like that, you could indeed think they are related. To me personally its the weakest hint, because the only resemblance they have in my eyes are their hair style. But! Even if they dont look like each other that much, that doesnt debunk the theory, because for all we know Inko could come after her father/nanas husband. We dont know what the guy looks like and its very possible that Inko inheritet her features and colours from him, while Kotaro clearly comes more after his mother in appearance.

Second hint: the scarf.

Like the first hint this could be a complete coincidence, but Inko and Nana wear the same scarf. And I like to think that Nana left it with baby Inko, when she left her in the hospital for adoption/foster care.

Again, maybe its just nothing, but Hori could have choosen any pattern and motive on Inkos scarf, but he choose the same as for Nanas.

Third hint: Kotaros quirk.

You most likely think now “but he never showed what his quirk is”. Yeah, thats right... or is it? Look at this:

In the first panel on the left, we can see that Kotaro spotted a garden tool near him. Distance wise I would say its about 2 to 3 meters away from him, because we cant see it next to him on the picture in the middle. But in the very next picture in the bottom right, Kotaro already holds the tool in his hand. The tool is to far away to just grab it and its strange that Hori didnt draw a picture of Kotaro running or jumping for it. Its as if he left out a picture on purpose. And if you look closely you can see that it seems indeed as if the tool “jumped” or “flew” right into Kotaros hand and he closed it over the tool handle. Its also interesting to note that Kotaro holds it with his right hand, despite his left hand being nearer to it. Of course we could say its because he is right handed, but if you are in a situation like him, wouldnt it have been more logic to grab it with the hand that was nearer. That tells me he grabed it with his right hand, because that is the hand he is used to using his quirk with (and because he is most likely right handed). So if what we see here is indeed Kotaros quirk and the garden tool “jumped” into his hand on his own, I think we can all agree that this sounds suspicious similar to Inkos quirk, attraction of small objects, with which she also can make objects “fly” or “jump” into her hand and Nanas quirk is called “flow” after all, only that she makes herself flow and we dont know what the quirk of her husband was.

Fourth hint (now it starts to get interesting): “That was a demon that threw away her own children.” - Kotaro Shimura about his mother Nana.

Yeah you read it right. Here Kotaro says word for word that Nana threw away her “children”. Not child! Children! Plural! For someone who is supposed to be an only child, its very strange to speak in plural here. And the interesting thing is: he also uses plural in japanese. In japanese he says: “Kodomo o suteda kichikuda.” The translation for that is: “Its a devil/demon that throws away (her) children.” So its possible that Kotaro knew that he was about to become a big brother. The timeline suggests that when Nana gave Kotaro in foster care, she was already pregnant (the death of her husband was probably not long ago). Its spring at that time, because we see can see the Sakura blossoms fall. And Inko was born in summer. And if we look at Nana in that pictures, she looks indeed as if she gained weight. You could say its because of the coat, but even then she looks more “rounder” then normal and its also a little suspicious that Hori didnt draw her from the front. And from afar she really does a lot look like Inko, dont you think?

Also the building in the backgroud looks very similar to the house complex the midoriyas life in right know.

Fifith hint: Inkos birthday date.

Some of you may wonder now, whats so special about Inkos birthday date. Inkos birthday is on 4. July or 7.4. The special thing is in the translation of the numbers, because it translates into: seven (nana) and four (shi). 7.4. = nana shi. And if we consider that Hori loves to put informations about his characters in their names and birth dates, I think this is a pretty big hint from him.

Sixth hint: Parallels

Im pretty sure I forgot a few hints, but this were the ones that came right to my mind, so feel free to ad a few more if you can! 

P.s.: And lets face it. If dad for one is canon, we all know, afo would go after Nanas daughter, as soon as he finds out about her.

Timeline of the “Inko Shimura” and “dad for one” theory

Sooo here comes the timeline I promised to write about the “Inko Shimura theory” I talked about here: https://marunalu.tumblr.com/post/677650230734356480/i-want-to-talk-a-little-bit-about-the-inko. Beware that this timeline is not confirmed or anything, its just me doing the math as best as I can. I will also include a lot of the dad for one theory in this, because I want to show everyone how perfect both theorys go hand in hand with each other. Before I start however I want to include a few details about the age differences between Kotaro and Inko, and Tomura and Izuku, so the timeline is easier to follow. First, we dont know how old little Kotaro was, when Nana gave him into foster care, but if we go after his appearance at that point I would say he is between 4-6 years old. My personal guess is 5, because thats the age difference between him and Inko. When we see Inko for the first time (when she was younger in chapter 1) she is 31 years old and Izuku is 4 at that point. That means Inko was 27 when Izuku was born. Kotaro was 32 when he died and little Tomura was 5 at that point. The age difference between Izuku and Tomura is 5 years, exactly like with Kotaro and Inko. That means when the Shimura indicent happened and 5 yeard old Tomura killed his whole family, Inko was either pregnant or Izuku was a few months old.

Allright, now lets start with the timeline of the theory in my personal view. I wil start with the death of Nanas husband.

Death of Nanas husband: We dont know much about Nanas husband, except that he was murdered. We dont know what he looks like, what his name was, his personality, his job, his quirk, or even who killed him (lets be honest, we all know who it most likely was). We only know that Nana stopped smiling after her husbands death, according to Gran Torinos words. That indicates that Nana loved her husband very much and lost her smile after his death. My personal theory is that Nanas husband let afo believe that he was the current holder of ofa and not his wife, to protect her and thats why afo killed him. Later he realized that Nana is the holder of ofa and not her husband.

Nana gives Kotaro to foster care: a short time after the death of her husband, Nana gives Kotaro up to foster care to protect him from afo. She knows that afo would use him against her. Its spring at that time, because we can see the Sakura blossoms fall. That means it was between mid-march and early may. According to my timeline she is pregnant with Inko at this point and Kotaro is around 5 years old.

Nana changes the details in the family registry: to make it look like as if she doesnt have a son and she asks Gran Torino (and later All might too) to stay away from Kotaro, no matter what happens with her, so he can stay safe.

Nana gives birth to Inko: Inko was born in summer - 4. July. Nana leaves her new born baby girl at the hospital and gives her into adoption. Baby Inko gets taken to an orphanage and grows up there, or was maybe taken into foster care/adopted. My personal believe is she grew up in one of doctor Garakis many orphanges. Thats how afo later finds out about her.

Nana resumes her work as a hero: awhile after she gave birth, Nana is back to hero business.

First meeting between her and a 14 year old All might: she and 14 year old (he wears a middle school uniform) Yagi Toshinori meet each other for the first time in autumn. Despite him being quirkless, Nana sees him as a worthy successor and wants to help him fullfill his dream to become the “symbol of peace”. She is aware that she most likely doesnt have much longer to live anymore, because sooner or later afo will find her and she needs someone who will continue to carry on ofas will. 

Nana gives ofa to All might: 15 year old All might enters UA and after 3 years he sucessfully graduates, he is 18 years old now. During that time Nana became his mentor and mother figure and told him everything she knows about ofa and afo and helps to prepare him against afo.

Fight against afo and Nanas death: at one point shortly after All might graduated from UA he meets afo for the first time. He, Nana and Gran Torino fight afo on some kind of isle (its surrounded by water). They dont stand a chance and Nana sacrifices herself, so Gran Torino and All might can flee. Afo NUKES Nana and the whole isle/city or whatever it is. At that point afo most likely knew already that Nana had given ofa to All might.

Exile: Gran Torino flees with a young All might to America and starts to train and mentor him there. They stay hidden for many years, because afo has followers all around the world that search for him.

Afo during All mights years of exile: Not much is known what afo was doing while All might was in exile, except that he was searching for him. What we know is that afo is aware that he needs to break the will of the current ofa user, if he wants to be able to steal ofa. So I believe thats the point he starts to search for ways to break All mights will and of course he focuses on his biggest weakness to archieve that: his mother figure Nana.

All mights return: he comes back to Japan when he is 23. He stayed in America for 5 years. After his return he starts to destroy afos criminal underground empire in japan, destroys many of his bases and connections in other countrys over the years. Afo gets more and more irritaed by him and needs to find a way to get ofa out of him. He cant kill him, as long as he doesnt have ofa back. So he starts so search for ways how he can break All might and I believe thanks to doctor Garaki, afo found out that Nana had children, she gave to adoption/foster care. 

Afos search for Nanas children: Afo uses the datas Garaki can give him about her daughter, because little Inko grew up in one of his orphanages. Kotaro on the other side was not in an orphanage, but grew up in foster care. Afo follows the traces till he finds Inko. She is a young woman now. Not sure what her age is at that point, but I would say she is in her early twenties, because she got Izuku when she was 27, so she was pregnant with 26. She also gave herself the last name “Midoriya”. Because this name fits Inko way to much, to come from her husband.

Afos plans with Inko: I think his original plan with her was more or less the same he uses Tomura later for: to break All mights will and be able to steal ofa. I dont think he planned to turn her into a villain, because she was already to old and not as east to manipulate anymore, like a child. His plans with her was probably more something ike: gain her trust, become “friends” and her “helper”, then when the time is right lure her and All might to the same spot, start a fight with All might, let him destroy the whole place that will “accidently” kill the woman and then rub it under All mights nose, that he just killed Nanas daughter (literally what he many years later does when he tells All might about Tomuras origin), watch him have a break down, finally get your hands on ofa (because All mights will is in shatters) and then kill him.

“The heart is an easy little thing to sway” - All for one to Lady Nagant about changing your mind, or in other words afos plan fails: but why? What went wrong? “The heart is an easy litte thing to sway”. Is this what happened? That afo changed his mind about his original plan he had with Inko? Because... maybe... as crazy as it sounds... he fell in love with her? Or at least startet to care enough for her? I mean, he probably spent quite a lot of time with her, to gain her trust and maybe he also just wanted to play around with her a little bit. Okay, here me out. I know its hard to imagine that a bastard like afo can actually harbor such feelings like love for an other person. The thing is, we know for a fact, that afo loved his brother. He is not unable to love. The problem is, that his love is toxic, selfish, possessive and obssessive. Like Anakins/vaders love for Padme/Luke. He is ready to hurt the person he loves to make sure he is “safe” (in a vault) and under his control. He is not able to let go. He doesnt want to share. And there are indeed enough hints in the story that make clear that afo (Hisashi) loves/cares for his family like financially supporting them. And lets face it afo had no reason to MARRY Inko, no matter what.

Gigantomachi goes into hidding: We know from doctor Garaki that afo ordered Machia years BEFORE he took little Tomura in, to hide! Afo never explained to Machia why he had to hide and till to this day Machia lamments his dear lords decision. So what was afos reason to hide his most devoted servant and bodyguard so all of a sudden? Well... its not very helpfull if you want to date a nice and pretty woman, when an oversized, over-protective and scary looking monster strolls after you and calls you “Lord” or “Master”, all the time, right? Not really the best way to win a girls heart.

Afos marrys Inko and starts a family, or in other words, thats not how his plan was supposed to be like: during that time afo has two personas. Afo the villain and Hisashi the husband and soon to be father. When he married Inko he took her last name, to hide his villain identity. He finally had a normal life! He had a family again! He enjoyed this! He was happy! But now there was a new old problem. Because he STILL needed to get his hands on ofa. As long as All might had the quirk, there was no chance for afo to live in peace and fullfill his drams and goals. Unlike the other ofa holders All might was actively searching for afo and destroying his criminal empire. We need to remember that afos criminal empire is his way to gain money, or in other words, to feed his family and give them a comfortable life. All might destroying all of this is a BIG problem! And there is something even more dangerous: because no one is allowed to find out about afos civil life! Or his wife! Or his child! Because as soon as the hero commission finds out about Inko and afo junior, we all know what would happen! Inko would most likely be killed or keept as “hostage” and the child would be turned into a weapon against his father. Just look at hawks or Lady Nagant and you know what this people would have done. And Lady Nagant said herself, that afo was one of the villains on her killing list. People like her are a big danger to afos new little family. So what he needed was a new plan.

The Shimura incident: Afo was aware that Nana had more then one child, but he found Inko first, so there was no need to search for the other one. The daughter would do, but now he cant use her anymore for that, so he restarts his searchs for her older brother Kotaro, she doesnt know about. At one point he finds him and his family and little Tenko wins his attention. Im not sure how afo found Kotaro, but it seems Kotaro was kind of a buisnessman and he seemed to be successfull, if we look at his big ass house. Maybe Kotaro and afo meet each other thanks of business work (afo has his hands everywhere afterall) and thats how afo found out, when he heard the name Shimura. The manga makes it very clear that afo had his eyes on little Tenko for quite a while, he knew about the defunction of the family and used that later to manipulate little Tenko. There are theorys about afo giving the decay quirk to Tenko, or at least somehow being responsible that he lost control over it. After Tenko killed his family, afo took him in and promised him "you will become the new me.” Izuku is either already a few months old, or about to be born soon, because Tenko is 5 years old at this point.

Afos plans with Tenko: I think afo not only wanted to use Tomura against All might, but he also decied to turn him into the new afo aka force his vestige into him, so the vestige will take control over Tomuras body and do the real afos bidding. We need to remember that afo at this point is COMPLETLY HEALTHY! There is no need for him to have a successor, because the guy literally has a “long-livety” quirk, that lets him stay young and he is pretty much the most powerful man in japan. And we know for a fact now that afo indeed never planned for Tomura to become his successor. He planned for him to become the new afo. From the beginning he literally forced his whole identity on him. He gave him his last name “Shigaraki”, promised him “you will become the new me” and even gives him HIS afo quirk! Isnt it as if he is trying to force his whole identity on someone else? But why? He is still healthy at this point and cant die from old age. So my guess is: not only does afo plan to use Tomura against All might, but also so in the future the new afo/Tomura who is under the real afos contol will do all the dirty work and fullfill his dreams, while the real one can stay home, spend time with his family and watch his child grow up. Afo himself said once, that he wants to “retire” and I think he means it! He wants to have a peacefull easy life, but at the same time, he doesnt want that all his successions over like 150+ years were done for nothing. He still wants his goals and dreams to be fullfilled. Tomura under the control of the afo vestige follows the orders what to do, while afo as Hisashi can stay at home and hold the strings in the shadows.

Izukus quirk: I believe in the theory that Izuku has his own afo quirk. A combination between his fathers and mothers and potentially even more dangerous. If this theory is true, afo most likely realized early enough that Izuku has a form of the afo quirk and he need to do something against that. The last thing he wants All might and other heros to find out about, is about this little boy with a quirk that makes him steal and give quirks. Sounds very suspicious, right? So afo either sealed/blocked Izukus quirk with the docs help, or using simple psychology was enough, meaning the doctor telling Izuku and Inko that Izuku is quirkless was enough, because he is a person both trusted, espicially if afo told Inko to go to this doctor. Personally I like the “blocked/sealed” quirk better. 

Afo has to leave his family because of All might: Its not clear WHEN Hisashi left his family overseas. Its not clear if he left when Izuku was still a baby or toddler, if it was before he found out he is quirkless or after. We only know that Izuku was 9 years old, when the fight between All might and afo happened. No matter when it was, at one point afo had to leave his family, because All might was growing to much of a problem. Tomura wasnt ready to be used against him, so I believe afo left Inko and Izuku and manipulated their memorys about him. We know Garaki is able to do that, because he did something similar with little Tenko and it could explain why Izuku NEVER mentions his father. Its like as if his father was completly whiped from his memorys.

All might vs. afo: At one point after this (could be a few years, months, weeks, days later, depending when afo left), the fight between All might and afo happened. Even about this fights not much is known, except that afo was apparently unprepared for it and tried to flee, after he ripped All mights guts out. But All might, deadly injured and half of his stomach ripped away, was still able to keep up with a afo, fleeing the battlefield. The question is: why was he fleeing? Was it just because he was unprepared? Or was it because he was in panic? Maybe because he feared that All might finds out about two certain people, he isnt supposed to know about? We dont know where the fight happened. But it seems it was on a abandoned place, because the puplic doesnt know about this fight and only people who are close to All might knew about it. And maybe its just me, but afo ripping All mights guts out, but instead of giving him the killing blow or at least keeping him barely alive enough, so he can steal ofa, tries to flee from him, sounds a little bit suspicious.

Afterwards: we know that All might managed to keep up with afo, despite half dead and punched him so hard in his face, that apparently part of his head was crushed/blown away. We know somehow afos body was retrieved by the doc and his regeneration quirk was able to safe him, but it wasnt strong enough to turn his smashed potato face back to normal. Its possible that the events on point 20 happen after this, because afo was not able to return home in his state.

So I will stop the timeline at this point, because I think its long enough, hehe! Remember this is not an confirmed timeline, but my own version how both the Inko Shimura and dad for one theory can fit into the story timline.
