Tumblr media
You’re always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Like that one guy in the movie Holes that gets sent to juvie for shoes he didn’t even steal. You’re on your last strike, and though the consequences are not as bad as juvie, getting kicked out of the internship course three days before grades go out is just downright cruel.
You’ve been on edge this whole week, going to class everyday, dedicating at least three hours everyday to studying, and making sure to do everything expected of you at your internship.
Only one more day until finals are over which means one more day until the semester is over and you can get your internship credit.
And, trust, you are not blaming the universe for putting you in this position for no reason. It really wasn’t your fault. The first strike had been because of that one guy with the electric quirk you now know as Kaminari. The second strike had been because of Count Explodo and his inability to keep his cool for more than three seconds. Ugh. The students in the hero course can be so dramatic sometimes.
Recovery Girl didn’t want to give you the previous two strikes, in fact, she told you in confidence that you were her best intern, but she had to abide by school policy.
You don’t want to get into exactly what happened, but things were fried and exploded, and let’s just say school property was damaged. And because you were on watch as the intern, you of course, faced the consequences while they got off scot-free because they were “heroes.”
They’re not even real heroes dammit! They’re heroes in training! Of course that last part is always an afterthought, and people like you in the general course get pushed to the back and forced to clean up the messes of the up and coming “heroes.”
You carefully organize all the documents that Recovery Girl, your supervisor, needs copied, but you barely make it out the door when you bump into a firm chest- your nose colliding with a very hard, very sculpted shoulder.
“Ouch!”
The force alone brings you to the ground; the papers you took twenty minutes organizing, raining down on you. You bring your hand up to your nose to check for blood, but thankfully, there’s none.
“Are you okay?”
You look up at the two-toned boy in front of you who bends down to help you. Your eyes are having trouble deciding where to look. The stark contrast of glacial white and blazing red, and of stormy gray and vibrant turquoise is a lot, but somehow works together in his case.
You shake your head, gathering your papers quickly so you can get the copies back to Recovery Girl. Of course you’d bump into someone in the hero course. Typical.
“Let me help you,” he says.
Hands, much bigger than yours, join in the fray of picking up papers.
You scoff, “Haven’t you helped enough?”
He freezes, clearly taken aback by your abrasive attitude. You rolls your eyes, collecting the rest of your papers. Because of him, you have to reorganize the papers, and great, there’s a scuff mark on one of them.
“I didn’t mean to cause any-”
Half-n-Half doesn’t get the rest out when a deep rumble fills the empty hallway. (Count Explodo came up with that nickname and you can’t help but applaud him for it.)
“SHOUTOOOOO”
Todoroki’s eyes widen, and you see him glance at the door behind you. You scramble to get up and block the door. “Oh no, you don’t, I don’t know what you’ve heard from your little hero group, but you are not getting through this door and dragging me into whatever shenanigans you’ve gotten yourself into this time.” You plaster your body to the door, even though in reality, Todoroki can get in one way or another if he truly wants to.
He looks to the right where the voice came from. The only sign of stress on his otherwise stoic face is the slight arch of his brow, even when the same booming voice shouts his name again. In fact, Todoroki looks like he thrives on the chaos he’s caused for the man who’s scouring the halls in search of him.
Todoroki takes a step toward you with a hint of a smirk twitching at the corner of his lips. You squint up at him, having no idea what he’s up to, but you already know it’s going to put a damper on what was supposed to be an easy day.
In a flash, he throws himself to the ground like a freaking drama queen, lying on his back with all of his limbs spread out. “Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!”
You gape.
Did this boy really just life alert you?
He looks up at you and you want, more than anything, to make a serious dent in that stupidly handsome face. Ugh.
“You either help me hide from my old man or Recovery Girl finds you turned away a hurt student. Your choice,” He raises his eyebrow in a challenge, knowing full well that as an intern for Recovery Girl, you’re obligated to report any injuries students claim. You’re pretty much on probation so it will be your word against one of the top students in the hero course.
The next “SHOUTOOO” is a lot closer this time, meaning you have a couple seconds before Endeavor rounds the corner to find you rejecting his “perfect son” who looks to be in serious pain on the ground. Forget worrying about a measly strike, you’d probably get expelled from this school right on the spot.
You groan in defeat, stepping away to open the door, “I hate you. Now, get in.”
“Don’t hate the player, hate the game,” he brushes past your shoulder. Wow. He’s seriously the worst.
You close the door and both of you freeze at the heavy footsteps getting closer. You both breathe a sigh of relief when they carry on down the hallway. Todoroki leans against the counter, hands in the pockets of his pants.
“I’ll be right back. I have to make these copies that are now five minutes late, I wonder why that is...” you sarcastically trail off. All you get is a noncommittal shrug, so you continue with your spiel. “Lie down over there and please, for the love of god, if anyone comes in- and I mean anyone, it could be the freaking League of Villains for all I care, you better act like you’re actually injured. I can’t have another strike on my record.”
“Strike?”
You stutter, “N-nevermind. It’s none of your business. Just act like you’re hurt and we won’t have a problem. Or is that too much to ask of a future pro-hero?” You ask in an overly snotty fashion to take attention away from your slip-up. It obviously doesn’t work on someone as intelligent as Todoroki Shouto, but you appreciate how he nods and allows the subject change.
“Good. I’ll be back in a few,” you head for the door, but turn around for a final warning, “And don’t touch anything or use your quirk.”
“Really?” He crosses his arms, offended that you’re talking down to him like a child.
“You’d be surprised,” you shake your head, thinking back to how you got the previous strikes.
You open the door and jump three feet in the air, papers flying to the ground once more (who knows if you’ll ever get those copies to Recovery Girl at this point.) In front of you stands the No. 1 Hero, and he does not look happy.
You gulp, papers long forgotten. “Endeavor! Wh-what can I h-help you with… sir?” You make sure to keep the door only halfway open so he doesn’t see Todoroki hiding in the corner.
“I’m looking for my son, Shouto, is he in here?” He tries to step inside, but you close the door further.
“Nope. Not in here, sir, have you tried the admin office yet? He might be in there.”
You can’t help the slight wobble in your voice and you only pray he won’t catch it, but he’s a hero, trained to read his opponent, so what do you expect? His eyes narrow, and you shrink under his intimidating stare, hand sweating against the doorknob.
You really just lied to the No. 1 Hero, and he knows you’re lying.
“I’ve checked the administrative office, young lady, four times. Now, if you don’t let me in to see my son, I will talk to your superior and have you expelled from this school for insubordination.”
You chance a glance at Todoroki and you understand what he’s trying to say from a simple nod.
“Go ahead and tell him. I shouldn’t have put you in this position.”
You make eye contact with Endeavor who’s flame grows every time his nostrils flare. He takes a deep breath in and you know he’s about to shout Todoroki’s first name which will inevitably alert Recovery Girl. Forget worrying about your internship credit now, you might get expelled at this rate. You’re in too deep, and you pray you’ll make it out still a student of U.A. after this. You say the first thing that comes to mind.
“He’s NAKED!”
Endeavor’s shout gets stuck in his throat and you take the opportunity to keep going.
“Yeah! Totally, just full on... naked… like you can see… e-v-ery-thing.” You wave your hands around your body to drive your point across though your poor gestures only make the situation worse.
Complete silence takes over, to the point that you can hear Recovery Girl’s typing through the closed door. You side-eye Todoroki who looks at you with a half-smirk, his eyes bright and clearly enjoying this trainwreck of a show from the sidelines. Yep, out of all the lies you’ve told from the previous strikes you’ve earned, this one has got to be the worst by far.
Endeavor growls, “What kinda recovery room are you runnin’? I want to speak to your superior right now.”
Any louder and Recovery Girl will for sure come out to check what’s going on. If she comes out, she will see Todoroki and the jig is up. Your heart skips a beat at the thought.
“Uhh…”
Since when did it get so hot in here? Oh yeah. Duh. You’re literally a foot away from a guy engulfed in his own flames. You sigh and reluctantly open the door to let Endeavor in, and just when you’re about to call Recovery Girl-
“Dad?”
A hoarse voice speaks up.
“Shouto?”
“Don’t come any closer,” Todoroki croaks.
Endeavor actually listens.
“I’m…”
Your heart pounds in anticipation for what Todoroki will say next. You hope it’s enough for Endeavor to take his leave. Your head unintentionally moves to catch his whisper and Endeavor does the same.
“I’m…”
It’s like when someone’s on their deathbed and you’re struggling to catch their final words.
“Butt naked.”
You shoot Todoroki a quick glare as he’s struggling not to laugh. These are not the words of a dying man, but an asshole getting a kick out of screwing with his father.
“Son, put some pants on, it’s not that hard.” You cringe at the awkward eye contact you exchange with the No. 1 Hero.
“It is.”
Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Is he going where you think he’s going?
You give a curt smile in which Endeavor grants you one of his own before straightening his belt and clearing his throat to respond.
“I will not stand for another one of your pranks, Shouto, come out now or else-”
“The body’s a mysterious thing.”
Oh my god. Why are you talking? Shut up!
“It can surprise you in ways you don’t expect.” You’re not really sure where you’re going with this, but you have already disrespected the No. 1 Hero more times than you can count today so might as well just roll with it. Both Todorokis are looking at you expectantly from their respective places.
“Today, during training, he overused his left side causing his body to.. uhm… overheat. I guess you can say.” You glance at Todoroki who’s looking at you with wide eyes, but you keep pushing through, digging yourself in deeper. You need Endeavor to buy it, else you’re out of an internship or, worse, out of this school for good.
“Quirk side-effects manifest in different ways so it isn’t rare for you to hear about this for the first time, especially since your son isn’t fully acquainted with the left half of his quirk just yet.”
You give yourself a pat on the back because, damn, that was good if you do say so yourself. Endeavor seems to have bought it, too, because a proud smirk graces his usually harsh features. However, the happy go lucky wave you’re currently riding crashes from under you as Todoroki is shooting you the same piercing stare his father was giving you just a moment ago. Damn. The Todoroki’s really know how to make a person feel insignificant with just one look.
“Is that true, son?”
“...yes”
Endeavor gives a hearty laugh, and you’re so worked up with everything that’s happened in the past five minutes that you can’t help but laugh awkwardly alongside him.
“You could’ve started with that, young lady, no shame in the bodily functions of a strong, growing man. Those are the famous Todoroki genes at work,” he winks at you.
You force a smile, “Ha ha ha yep…”
What do you even say to that?
“I’ll come back for you once you’ve handled your problem. Take care, son.”
Endeavor gives you a polite nod, in which you bow, before he takes his leave. Once the door shuts, you slump against it and take in a few deep breaths to try to stop your racing heart.
You make eye contact with Todoroki from the corner he’s still hiding in, a shadow falling over the right half of his face. All you can see is a fierce combination of red and turquoise. He looks like a carbon copy of the man that was just here. Todoroki steps out of the shadow, and gets close enough for you to see every hurdling ridge of that perfectly imperfect scar.
“You shouldn’t have said that.”
The heat Endeavor took with him is replaced with a new heat. A different heat. One unique to the boy standing in front of you. You feel it bubbling, rising to the surface of a wicked cauldron that you need to quickly put a lid on before it spills over and you get burned. You fall short of spitting a sarcastic retort. Instead, you find yourself licking your lips and Todoroki tracing the movement with fire in his eyes.
“You know,” he starts, “My mind didn’t go there until yours did.”
“It didn’t?”
Your cheeks burn, embarrassed that your mind was in the gutter when Todoroki’s wasn’t.
He shakes his head.
“But good to know you think about me overheating.”
Oh no. Maybe you are in too deep. But not in the way you thought. You’re about to screw it and jump his bones right then and there when Recovery Girl’s door opens.
“Y/N, dear, did you make those copies?” Recovery Girl calls out, stopping in her tracks when she sees Todoroki next to you. “What brings you here, Todoroki, are you hurt?”
She races as quickly as her age can take her, going into full healer mode as she inspects Todoroki for injuries. You respond on instinct so you won’t get in trouble.
“Yes! He is very hurt! That’s why he’s here!”
You nod at Todoroki who takes the cue and immediately clutches his side, giving a convincing groan like he’s in pain. You gotta hand it to him. If he weren’t trying for a career as a pro-hero, you’d suggest he take up acting.
“His body overheated during training, and some not so pleasant side-effects have taken place.”
“So… hot…” He plays along, a mischievous glint in his eyes directed towards you. He makes sure to raise his temperature when Recovery Girl places her hand on his forehead.
“You’re definitely heating up, but that’s not out of the norm for someone with a quirk like yours. What side effects are you referring to, Y/N?”
You and Todoroki look at each other. You flush as you’re forced to give the same reason you gave Endeavor for continuity’s sake, but this time in explicit detail.
Once Recovery Girl is in the loop, she sends Todoroki to lie down and assigns you to take care of him. You get washcloths and soak them in water like you’re cooling a fever down. Todoroki is not “butt naked,” though he is shirtless. You place the cold compress on his bare chest. Hopefully he doesn’t notice how you squirm in your seat, working the cloth over his skin. His abs glisten as he continues to raise his temperature to keep up the appearance. Your eyes are trained on the task at hand, not daring to look up because you know he’s watching your every move. You can feel his gaze burning into you, branding your flesh with a mark of his own, as heat begins to simmer inside you.
You shake your head. What are you thinking? You’re not… he’s not… there’s nothing going on between you and Todoroki! You refuse to become another one of his fangirls, lining up for the chance to be with him. He’s handsome, sure you’ll give him that, but…you look up and instead of the smug smirk you imagined, there’s a softness to his usually stoic stare, and the heat you once felt melts into a fondness you can’t quite explain.
Once you finish “cooling him off,” you grab a clipboard and a pen to fill out the forms when you accept patients.
You stare at each other blankly. Clearing your throat you say, “I think it’s safe to say it’ll be a no for all of them.” He nods, putting his shirt back on as you get up from your seat, about to take your leave.
“Thank you.”
You freeze. From his words, not his quirk. (thank god)
“It was wrong of me to put you in such a precarious position. I understand your hostility… towards me. Though maybe if you’d allow me to explain myself, I might be able to change your mind.”
You raise an eyebrow. Since when did anyone in the hero course ever care about students in the general course? They’re always in their own little bubble, uncaring if they step on the toes of other students, like yourself, who worked just as hard to get into U.A. So why does Todoroki Shouto, one of the top students in the hero course, care about changing your mind?
You’re weary, but you nod anyway, curious as to what he has to say.
“My old man is a fucking dick.”
Your eyes widen.
Isn’t bad mouthing your dad, the current No. 1 Hero, bad publicity or something? Why would Todoroki tell you, of all people? You don’t have any more time to think on this as Todoroki continues.
“This morning, he told me we’re taking a trip next weekend to meet the person he plans to set me up with, some American girl. He said it’s good publicity for the family. I’m not stupid. I know when he says, the family, he means himself.” His face twists into a dark grimace and you can tell there’s some deep unresolved issues between him and his father.
“Why are you telling me this?”
You feel like you overstepped, heard too much about the famous Todoroki family, despite Todoroki, himself, telling you this.
He stands up from his bed, walking towards you until the tips of his shoes meet yours, and he’s as close as he can get without touching you. He raises his arm to lightly graze his fingertips along your arm, and you curse the goosebumps that immediately rise like a chain reaction. He drags his hand up, reaching the sensitive spot at the curve of your neck, and you let out a soft gasp at the sensation. A shiver runs through you from the cool touch, despite the heat coiling in your stomach, begging to be satiated. A softness pillows his piercing features as he brushes his thumb lightly along the apple of your cheek.
“I want to convince you I’m not the jerk you think I am.”
The scent of freshly cut mint and burning cedar is clouding your ability to think straight. His hair looks deliciously soft, begging to have fingers run through it, and you wish to pull him down and kiss him in the middle of the recovery room. For him to slam you against the wall, and...
You take a step back, pulling away from his caress, before you do something you’ll regret. You have questions that need answers before anything else happens.
“Why are you so hellbent on changing my mind? I’m clearly not in the hero course.”
“Why would that matter?”
“Because you’re all the same! You’re caught up in your own little world, the spotlight shining on you so bright that you’re blinded to the people around you. If it wasn’t for the students in the general and support courses, you wouldn’t be in the position you are now.”
You hope you didn’t raise your voice loud enough for Recovery Girl to notice. It was already a close call getting this far and you really can’t afford a slip up because you couldn’t put a lid on your emotions.
You’d have no one to blame, but yourself.
“This is about your strike,” Todoroki states.
The breath rushes out of you.
“What? No, it-”
You stop mid-sentence. A realization comes to mind causing you to straighten up and look Todoroki in the eye. “You know what? Yes, yes it is about my strike. Two strikes actually.”
Your newfound confidence marches you straight over to Todoroki, poking at his chest in an attempt to intimidate him. (yeah, you’re about as intimidating as a baby squirrel to Todoroki, but A for effort)
“And who’s fault was it?” your voice rises, “Dunceface and Count Explodo, that’s who! And if your little prank went sour today, it would’ve been my ass on the line!”
“You’re right. I’m sorry.”
Your breath catches. He’s just throwing you curveballs left and right, leaving an unsettling feeling in your stomach, because he keeps acting like he actually cares and you’re questioning if maybe he actually does.
“Let me make it up to you,” he says.
You raise an eyebrow, “And how are you going to do that?”
A faint flush adorns his pale cheeks, only noticeable because you’re standing so close. This is the first time you’ve seen Todoroki blush and you’re taken aback at his sudden change in demeanor.
“I was thinking… we could go to the restaurant you mentioned? Uhm…” he runs a nervous hand through his hair, “In your slam poem last year? You said you always passed by and hope to one day dip a strawberry in the chocolate fountain.”
You’re speechless at the fact that he saw your performance, much less remembered the details. You performed at an open mic event U.A. held at the end of every semester for extra credit. You did a slam poem about childhood hopes and dreams (it was pretty cringe and now that you know Todoroki saw it just makes you cringe even more) but despite the cringiness, all of the details were true. Bella Bistro was a cafe you passed by everyday in elementary school and you remember jumping up and down in excitement when you saw the huge chocolate fountain whooshing gloriously in the middle of the restaurant.
You look down at the ground to hide your burning cheeks.
“It’s expensive, you don’t… have to,” you mutter.
“I want to.”
Your heart stutters at the earnest look he gives you. A ray of hope sparkling his eyes, so unlike the brooding aura he usually carries.
But you’re still not convinced.
“You’re not asking me out to piss off your dad, are you?”
“You’re just looking for every reason to hate me, aren’t you? Trust me, there are plenty of other ways to piss him off.” His face is stoic, but behind that you can see the mischief brewing, only visible to the people who take the time to read his minute expressions.
Ten minutes ago, you thought the entire hero course was a bunch of narcissistic assholes, but now that you’ve taken the time to get to know one of them, you’re starting to realize that maybe you were wrong.
Anyone with eyes can see Todoroki Shouto is devastatingly good looking, not to mention, he’s willing to take you to one of the most expensive restaurants in the city? The worst that can happen is it doesn’t work out.
Though you’re secretly hoping it does.
Before you can give your answer, Recovery Girl calls out from her office.
“Are you feeling better, dear?”
Your eyes widen as you push Todoroki back into the recovery room.
“Quick! Take off your shirt and get on the bed!”
Todoroki raises an eyebrow, “Let me buy you dinner first.”
You don’t have time to be embarrassed. “Just do it!”
Thankfully he obliges, getting on the bed just in time for Recovery Girl to pop in and see you wiping down his chest.
“Much better, thank you,” Todoroki responds to her. She inspects his “injuries” and once she deems him ready to go back to class, she takes her leave to go make the copies herself. You let her know that you’re more than capable of doing it yourself, but she gives you a knowing look.
“Oh, I know hun, but seems like you have unfinished business to take care of,” she winks and walks off.
You gape, your whole body buzzing as you realize she heard your entire conversation and probably gathered that Todoroki isn’t really injured.
She exits and the silence is deafening in the recovery room. Technically, it should be silent, but for some reason you can’t help but feel out of your own element when you’re met with the intense stare of Todoroki. You can’t even use the excuse of trying to let other people sleep because there’s no one else in here. You glance around the room, playing with the stethoscope around your neck, but each time you chance a look at Todoroki, you’re hit with that same burning look.
“Welp… the jig is up, I guess. You’re free to go, goodbye,” you shoot an awkward laugh, but Todoroki doesn’t indulge you.
“Your answer?”
You’re well aware of the fact that he’s still shirtless and it’s doing little in suppressing the uncontrollable urge to kiss him senseless.
Fuck it.
You reach for his hair (yes it is as soft as it looks) and you pull him down as you finally allow yourself to give in and kiss him. His breath hitches in surprise, but he soon relaxes into the kiss. His arms lay awkwardly at his side, like he’s unsure where to put them, so you guide them to your waist. With his bare chest pressed against you, you can feel every hardened ridge rubbing against the thin fabric of your shirt, and you do a horrible job of suppressing a whimper when his tongue flicks hesitantly against yours. You pull away, so you both can catch your breath, keeping your arms wrapped around his neck.
“Is that a good enough answer, Half-n-Half?” You say with a teasing lilt in your breathless voice.
“Call me Shouto.”
You shiver at the cool lips ghosting the burning shell of your ear.
He leans away, much too soon for your liking. Throwing his shirt back on, he walks out the door, but not before turning his head to throw one last comment over his shoulder.
“I’ll pick you up at 8 o’clock sharp.”
Sharp? Who the hell does he think he is? Psh. You’ll be ready when you wanna be ready! But you can’t even convince yourself to be mad when you realized you just scored a date with U.A’s most handsome up and coming hero.
You smile at the sudden turn of events today. Sure, it could’ve gone way worse if Shouto’s prank backfired, but it was totally worth getting caught in the crossfire.

Kinktober Day 23 ~ kink: orgasm denial
pairing: bakugou katsuki x fem!reader
warning: smut, smut, smut
word count: 3,650
a/n: thanks to @bungeegumsurprise for giving me this idea, I was at a phat loss for what I was going to do LMAOOOO but... I really really like it so I hope you enjoy. and also to sky for working out a weird bump in my story ilysm!
✩✶✩❇✩✶✩
Losing to Bakugou was one of the worst things in the world.
Not because you were then embarrassed, you never were when losing to him. It also wasn’t because he would never let you live it down either.
The reason was plain and simple: you hated to lose to the ash-blond because he was a tease.
✩✶✩❇✩✶✩
Your fingers gripped around your pencil so tight that your knuckles turned white.
Your breathing was very controlled, but you felt as if your ears were burning hot. What was happening was too much, this was too too much.
Aizawa’s voice droned on from the head of the classroom reminded you where you were. Today was the start of your final trimester here at Yuuei and there was nervous excitement in the air. Everyone was listening in. Occasional soft whispers exchanged as no one wanted to alert their homeroom teacher.
As for you?
You couldn’t hear a single word of what was being said.
Nope. All you could hear was the low hum that was making your legs spasm without your consent. The low hum that you prayed no one could hear. The low hum that was making your hips shift in ways to relieve yourself from the vibrating pulses.
Your eyes glanced across the room to Bakugou, your boyfriend, who concentrated in on Aizawa. His hands shoved into his pockets.
Composure was not something you had in mind as you leaned backward, desperate for the low hum to disappear within you.
Before the beginning of an intensive winter break Hero Work, you two had a deal. It entailed that of whoever could apprehend the most villains within the month would win. The loser would have to do anything, and by anything you two meant anything, the winner wanted.
Typically when you won, you were cruel.
You made Bakugou tap dance for the new first-year class of Hero students one time. Another time you had him profess his love to Mineta. An event that was forever recorded and celebrated by the now Class 3-A group chat. Hell, you even made Bakugou eat the spiciest chile pepper in the world. Of course, only because he said he could handle it, and you didn’t believe him! (Spoiler alert, he could not handle it.)
Bakugou, however, was a tease.
The first time he won he had asked for a kiss. That, of course, started your relationship, so to this day you had no qualms about it. But he started to use it to explore kinks that he had previously been too ashamed to mention. Today though, he had decided your punishment for losing was to go to class with a pair of remote control panties.
It hadn’t started off too bad, a lulling vibration that pressed against your sex. Hell, you could go as far as to say that it was relaxing, comforting even. It wasn’t until you were talking with Todoroki, who sits next to you, did the pressure somehow increase.
Your friendly conversation with the quiet boy had left you smiling. Your hands clasped as you leaned toward him ready to talk even more. It had hit you then, the smile erasing from your lips as your eyelids fluttered.
“Are you okay?” Todoroki asked, his face filled with concern and pure ignorance of what was happening.
You nodded quickly, your smile weak as you sat onto your chair and faced forward. Your ears felt stupid hot and your fingers trembled as you glanced over at Bakugou. He was having a conversation with Midoriya. His hand shoved in his pocket.
It was like he was oblivious to what he was doing. Of course, your opinion changed when Bakugou’s vermillion eyes swept over to yours. His eyebrow quirked as he smirked. What a fucking dick!
He had left you this morning with one request. His lips finally leaving yours as his fingers snapping your special panties’ waistband.
“You’re not allowed to come, not until I say you can.”
Currently, you could feel your arousal starting to seep around the vibrator. Your twitching nerves overcoming your senses as you tried to pay attention. But all you could think about was how dirty this was. The sex toy was completely swallowed in your lower lips. Your tongue was being mashed between your teeth in order to keep yourself from crying out. The vibrations somehow get stronger, and your pencil snaps in your fingers.
You ignore the glances that come your way. Placing your pencil down on the table, electrifying pleasure courses through your veins. You’re so close. So near the edge that it is starting to hurt. You know you can’t come, but your hips are rocking against the sensation. Your toes curling inside your shoes as a light pant escapes your lips. Your eyes are locked on Bakugou who has his hands shoved into his pockets. His arm so relaxed you would have no idea what he was inflicting on you. His body so blissfully unaware you felt slutty.
The vibrations stop, and you feel as if you can’t breathe, your body entirely too stiff as your orgasm is so close. Your heart hammers away as Bakugou turns his head around, a coy smirk on his face as you two lock eyes for a millisecond.
The vibrator is turned up all the way. You knew that because of the way you physically reacted to the powerful fluctuations.
So now vibrations coursed through you with such intensity you thought you were vibrating. You slammed your head against the desk a soft moan leaving your lips. The sound of your head slamming against the desk was loud. Breaking through Aizawa’s announcements, and the vibrations stopped.
You should have been glad that the continuous assault against your stimulated clit was over, but you had yet to come... and you needed it.
“Y/l/n?” Aizawa says, his tired eyes looking curious and annoyed. You pressed your fingers against your now throbbing forehead. “Is everything okay?”
With a scorching face, you nodded your head. You felt disheveled, tensed, and your pussy is throbbing from a denied orgasm as you stutter out a response. Your breathing pitched. Your eyes returning back onto your papers as you hear a chuckle from Bakugou.
Please let this day be over…
✩✶✩❇✩✶✩
For Hero Basics today, it was sparring matches. No quirks were now allowed, it was a plain and simple hand to hand combat training. It was useful for your class as many of you were going to be fighting heroes. Even the future rescue heroes needed skills outside of their usual domain.
You were entirely too stiff, though. You couldn’t get into your normal fighting stance in fear that the vibrator would fall out of you while it was on. You believed that while it was vibrating it would be more susceptible to falling out. Also, you weren’t letting anyone touch you in fear of someone feeling the waves flowing through your skin.
The majority of the day you had stayed far away from Shouji and Jirou. In your overwhelming paranoia, you thought that they would somehow hear the vibrations coming from you.
Your eyes locked on Kirishima in front of you, and you groaned. You knew already that Bakugou was going to spike up the charge on the vibrator the moment Kirishima touched you. You hadn’t come today, thank the lord. But you weren’t too sure you were going to be able to last through the intensive cycles of the powerful vibrator. At least not for much longer.
“Begin,” Aizawa called out. You rolled out your shoulders as you dropped into your lowest fighting stance. The stance you would permit yourself to be in at least. You were small in comparison to most males in your class and in Japan. You were a low fighter. Using your size, speed, and agility to your advantage when fighting without the aid of your quirk.
But right now? You were nearly standing straight up, your legs in a half-assed lunge. Kirishima, unknowing of the predicament you were in, hesitated to go after you. You were one of the best hand to hand combat fighters, and if this was a new style of yours he had the right mind to be cautious.
You felt the vibrations of the toy stop, and you almost cried in relief as you sunk into your normal position. Kirishima adjusted accordingly and surged forward, but you were ready. You shoot towards him. Your body low as you watch as his arm pulls back to punch at you, his speed slowing down, but you pick up speed.
You chuckle as you catch him by surprise, he had not expected this, so all he could do was watch as you slid between his legs. Your own leg sweeping him out as you stood, your body twists ready to pin him with your victory.
Bakugou turns on the vibrator at full power and you yelp. Your body folding in on yourself as Kirishima regains his composure. Grabbing your distracted body, he pins you to the ground. Your eyes clenched in both failure and increasing pleasure building upon you. If Bakugou didn’t fucking stop--
“Are you okay, y/n?” Kirishima asks, his eyes wide as your hips buck against his thigh despite your best effort. Your eyes crack open to see Kirishima’s face as red as his hair from your movement. The friction aiding in your pleasure. Despite the coursing pleasure wracking through your body, you manage to flip him over. Your knee pressing into his chest as you wheeze.
But the vibrations continue, and worse yet. They are somehow getting stronger, sharper, and too excessive.
Your teeth are biting against your lower lip so hard that you taste copper in your mouth. You’re trembling on top of Kirishima. Your fingers shaking on the grasp his gym shirt, your toes curl and your back arches the slightest of bits.
Oh, no.
With your senses heightened, and you feel as if you’re breaking at the seams now. Your breathing is a harsh pant as Kirishima’s hands place themselves against your waist. Your cunt throbs at the feeling of his heated hands pressing through your gym shirt. Your back slams back down hard against the floor.
That’s all it takes.
Your hand slams into your mouth to keep yourself from sobbing out in pleasure. Kirishima pins you to the ground in victory. His legs straddling you to the floor, and your body thrashes under his. Your orgasm shoots through you. The long-overdue orgasm setting every nerve in your body on fire as your twist.
Your hand leaves your mouth as Kirishima stumbles off you. His face beet red and the low vibrations against your clit have lessened into a soft hum before stopping. Everything feels dizzy, your body deliriously light as you stare up at the gym ceiling. Despite the ongoing breathing issues you were having your eyes found Bakugou. He is expressionless. His face was stone hard as he turns away.
You had come, and you had come against his best friend...
This was not going to end well for you.
✩✶✩❇✩✶✩
You expected Bakugou to be fuming at you because you came. You were not expecting anything less from your emotionally driven boyfriend.
What you weren’t expecting; however, was the rope around your wrists, the ties around your ankles, the fabric gag in your mouth, and the machine between your spread legs.
“I’m surprised you lasted as long as you did, you fucking slut,” Bakugou growled from beside you. Your tear-filled gaze looked at him. Your pleas for forgiveness muffled by the damp fabric between your teeth. “I’m sorry, did you say something? Only good girls who don’t come around her boyfriend's best friend get to speak.” He snarls his hand gripping your inner thigh.
Your legs buck in desperation, you needed Bakugou, you craved him so bad.
Since getting back to the dorms, Bakugou had almost sent you over the edge more times than you could account for. If you had thought the vibrator all day was bad... you would much rather get back onto it instead of this barbarous treatment. He was putting you through hell right now.
Your pussy had never once been this sore. Your legs coated with your juices, yet not a single drop of it was from your orgasm. Your body twitched excessively, your overstimulated yet denied body craving a release.
A release that Bakugou was refusing to give you.
Bakugou stood without a shirt on, but his dark grey sweatpants hung low around his hips. His face dark and pissed, yet the satisfied smile and raging boner said otherwise.
“Since you want to be a filthy slut and come around someone who isn’t me, why don’t you take this fucking machine?”
Your eyes follow Bakugou. Your raw throat making noises that can not be understood, and he turns on the machine.
A sob rips through your throat as the machine presses the dildo into you. Your sopping walls easily letting the dildo slip in without trouble. Your arms tug you one way, and your legs thrash in an attempt to lessen the friction. You wanted to come, but you didn’t want to come around the fucking machine!
“Stop pretending that you don’t want to be fucked like this,” Bakugou growls, his hands slamming your wiggling hips back into the mattress. Your heavy cries are useless as he overpowers you. The machine is sliding in and out of your cunt. Stretching your walls in a way you’re not used to as your hips bucked involuntarily. “See, trying to pretend you didn’t want this dildo in you, and look at you! Fucking it like a whore.”
You blubber against the gag, your hips bucking in time against the machine as Bakugou laughs. His mouth coming to press harshly against your throbbing clit, and your body twists again. The feeling overwhelming as he glides his teeth against your puffy bundle of nerves. It doesn’t matter how much you yell, however, Bakugou continues on.
“Maybe I won’t even let you come around my fucking cock, baby.” Bakugo sighs as if he accepted that outlook.
You shake your head, your arms trembling as you once again resist against the machine. The rhythmic thrusts of the machine are so fucking good though. Your inner walls fluttering against it despite your greatest effort. You were so desperate for a release that you would do it anywhere at this point.
Bakugou’s hands grope your breasts, and you arch against him. His fingers roll against your pert nipples. His tongue trailing saliva against the valley of your breasts and your muffled moans only stir him on. Your legs begin to shake, a sure tell of your oncoming orgasm and Bakugou looks up at your clenched face.
Your hips were ramming against the machine harder than the machine was entering you,. You were so preoccupied with your nearly crashing orgasm you didn’t notice that Bakugou had seen you trembling.
The machine is now removed from you. The sounds of the twirling motors the only reminder that it had even been there.
“You’re such a fucking, cockslut,” Bakugou smirks as he presses kisses against your clammy neck and you sob. “Do you want to come?” He growls and you pathetically nod your head.
Your need for release for so high at this point that you were desperate for anything to get you over the edge. Your eyes flutter closed as Bakugou smiles against your skin. His lips trailing open mouth kisses against your skin as he pushes away.
Your eyes feel heavy as you watch him remove the restraints from your legs as he removes his sweatpants. Your chest heaving at the sight of Bakugou’s now freed cock slapping against his stomach. His erection making you clamp your thighs shut, rubbing together for friction as he takes a hand through his hair.
His eyes locked on your needy form, a cocky smirk on his face as he crawls over you, his hands planted to the sides of his head.
Bakugou leans against his left hand, his right-hand maneuvering to release the gag from your mouth as you stare at him. Tears long gone from your eyes, but the same overpowering lust and need for an orgasm pounding throughout your body.
Your jaw feels like it cracks as you close it, your hands shifting in the harsh constraints. You never liked using rope because it always chafed at your skin…
“Are you ready to come around an actual cock?” Bakugou growls into your skin, and your head nods quickly, your voice unable to make a noise as he chuckles.
You don’t know what’s happening, only that Bakugou has thrust his full length into your awaiting cunt. Bakugou’s hiss rings into your ear as he bottoms you out, and your shriek is now muffled by his hand.
“Shut the hell up,” He snarls. “I don’t need our entire fucking class knowing I’m fucking you!”
You nod your head, trying to keep quiet but his cock is stretching you out in the best of ways, your chest arching and brushing against his as he pounds into you. Your hips are attempting to keep up with his insane speed, your legs wrapping around Bakugou’s waist as he holds your ass.
His fingers clench onto your supple skin as you find yourself being thrust into the mattress. Your jaw dropping, silent screams ringing into the air as he is merciless in his conquest.
Sharp pleasure pierces through your body. Never-ending heat flooding your cunt as his length continues ramming into you. The two large veins on the side of his cock adding even more friction against your inner walls.
“Ka-Katsuki!” You mewl loudly, your body trembling in his grasp as he continues pounding into you. Again and again, he slams harder into you, faster into you. Electricity flows through your veins as your eyes fall to the back of your head. Your body growing tense yet weak in his grasp. “F-Fuck! Fuck me faster, fuck me harder, please!” You beg.
Bakugou, never one to back down from a challenge, complies.
Your legs are thrown over his shoulder, and the new angle lets the tip of his cock brush against your g-spot. Bakugou grunts, having picked up on all your tells and adjusts himself. He rams back into you, the penetration further, the angle even more pleasing than before.
Your body shakes around his hold, his cock now slamming against your g-spot and without mercy. Your stammering breathing and incoherent praises only will Bakugou on as the fire within you burns. The seeming never-ending pleasure within you courses through your body as your hands slam against the restraints.
“You can-- fuck-- you can keep fucking going,” Bakugou snaps, his hips still going as fast and hard as ever. “Don’t fucking come yet!”
“B-Baby, please!” You sob your body contorting, your release so close you can taste it on your tongue. His cock twitches from within your walls, and the tip of his cock slams back against your g-spot. Your legs kick wildly, you being unable to contain your nearing release.
Bakugou pinches your legs as he holds them tighter against his chest, and you’re practically seeing stars as he grunts out sweet nothings.
Sharp pants escape his mouth as he places his hands onto the pillow by your head. Your legs hooked around his shoulder stretching as your hips meet his with every thrust. Your arousal intensifies as a burning pressure erupts within you. Your head falling backward as you lacked the energy to keep it up. “Look at me,” Bakugou growls. The pleasure searing through your veins. It almost prohibits you from staring into his lustful eyes.
Bakugou drops to his forearm, and you sob, the tip of his dick hitting your g-spot with full force now.
“Did you like that?” Bakugou mocks against your throat. You nod your head as he angles himself into the same position and rocks even harder. Even further than before. Your body is spasming underneath his own. Languid moans seeping from your mouth in harmony with Bakugou’s grunts.
“You’re so fucking good to me!” You bawl as the heat within your core is overwhelming. Your breathing hitching with every slam of his hips.
“Do you need to come?” Bakugou snarls against your neck, and you nod frantically. “Then fucking come.”
That’s all you need and the pressure breaks, and you come hard onto his dick, your mouth opens as his lips messily press against yours. You cry his name as you pathetically squirm underneath him. Your pussy clenching around his dick with every following thrust. The tingles spreading throughout your body as he chases your orgasm.
You feel Bakugou curse against your throat. And with a stuttering thrust, expels his sticky and hot seed within you.
Bakugou stays over you, his breathing ragged, trying to calm down.
You chest heaving as you watch him with heavy-lidded eyes as he falls down, his hand resting on your stomach.
“Can you untie me?” You mumble, and Bakugou chuckles, his hand moving to undo the restraints.
You sigh in relief as you slip your raw wrists from the material and immediately curl into Bakugou’s side.
“Did I hurt you?” Bakugou asks, his fingers gingerly grabbing your wrists. His warm fingers massaging the aching skin.
“Just my pride,” You giggle as his lips press soft kisses against the tender skin. “You did make me come on Kiri, and I don’t think I can ever live that down.”
“Yeah, well imagine how I felt, shitty woman. Who the fuck do you think you are, coming because of another guy.”
“You’re the tease who used the highest setting on the vibrator!”
“...tch…”
“I love you, ‘suki.”
“...I love you too, y/n.”

Amy: Heroes Rising
Wow like I said earlier, Heroes Rising was actually pretty good... sort of... I loved seeing the other students of 1-A it was brilliant to see them all ^^
And funnily enough I drew my OC Amy wearing less than formal clothing, she’s sticking to her witchy roots in this get-up.
Went from Kawaii Witch to Emo Witch...
Albeit she’s no longer with 1-A in this movie’s timeline and so she wasn’t a part of their project at Nabu Island, but watched from a distance via astral projection/Decensum and actually arrived on the Island without anyone’s knowledge. She acts more disinterested and aloof ever since she left UA, a far cry from the hyperactive and free-spirited personality she put on before.
She was missed by her classmates but didn’t believe so, yet still chose to spy on them since she missed them too. However, she was well aware that villains were going to attack the island, but did nothing to stop it because she didn’t see a point in it.
Afterwards, friends like Kaminari, Mina, Izuku and Todoroki admitted that they wished Amy were there because her magic and powers would have been hella useful, but due to her absence it didn’t happen.
However, getting a future sight by Cordelia in where Izuku and Bakugou defeat Nine, Amy goes to Nabu Island out of concern and a willingness to help after seeing the rest of 1-A struggling. Right as Deku and Bakugou are fighting Nine after he holds off their efforts to keep him at bay and she jumps into the fray to help them out. She staves off Nine long enough with her magic so Izuku and Bakugou could fulfill the future, even though Nine attempts to appeal to her due to knowing her as the Witch from the Sports Festival. Amy however, refuses his offer due to her loyalty to her friends despite her issues. Shortly afterwards, Amy flees the scene to recover allies and make sure they’re still alive while Izuku and Bakugou defeat Nine with the power of One For All.
With Izuku, Bakugou and the rest of 1-A recovered and alive, Amy teases both Izuku and Bakugou after their fight with Nine, but Bakugou especially, enough to where he challenges her to a fight. Except it don’t end with a fight...
Instead, Amy exchanges some oddly gentle words and leaves them (again) but with a little more hope in herself.
So in short if Amy were in the movie, she’d be just playing... a salty, emo bitch who still retains her wicked sense of humor but she’s a little cooler here.
Quotes:
“Looks like everyone’s having a good time without me... it’s like I never even existed. Don’t matter at all...”
“God... nothing but a bunch of privileged motherfuckers on a goddamn island again? Really? Losers...”
(To Todoroki) “Do you see me...? I hope not...”
(To Mahoro and Katsuma after they tricked Izuku and Bakugou) “Playin’ tricks on the big kids little ones? Kihihihihi... that’s not wise. Adults will think you’re crying wolf. There’s a scary witch lurking about in the night... and I eat children who anger me... I’m feeling hungry now... run... run away now children or else I will eat you for my supper!”
(About Mahoro and Katsuma after scaring them away) “AHAHAHAHA~! Ah... Kids are the best.”
“Oh great... more goddamn villains... scary, scary...”
(to Izuku and Bakugou) “God I have to do everything for you guys!”
(to Bakugou) “Yeah, you don’t need me, that’s why you’re getting your ass handed to this asshole.”
(to Nine) “Nobody hurts my friends.”
(to Izuku) “I’ve killed men like him before.”
(to Nine) “You talk a lot, act like you know everything, typical man. You think you’re going to win? You’re not. You can pretend all you want like you’re going to come out on top, but these two brats are going to beat you, and these two brats are going to be great heroes someday. I know they are...”
(to Bakugou) “It feels wrong to beat up a recovering victim but sure I’ll fight you Dogface.”
(to Bakugou, internal monologue) “You’ll be a fine man... and a fine hero someday.”
“Maybe someday... I’ll find myself with you guys again. Maybe...”

“Have you seen this?” Deku asked, throwing a handful of sports fan magazines onto Todoroki’s lap as he bent over to tie his skates. The covers were full of gossip headlines, printed in vivid, flashy colors and varying sizes according to the amount of scandal each exposé
contained. It was the standard issue for the week, with Aoyama’s typical flashy pose on the front despite his article being a fairly tame side story about his latest win.
“I just read the jokes out of the middle, why?” Todoroki picked up the one on top, flipping through it without much concern for what he happened to skip.
“Wait, wait, it’s that one!” Crumpling the paper with his eagerness, Deku directed him to the right page, stabbing at the pictures and conjectures with one scarred finger. “It’s about your charity event this weekend, at the podium awards.”
“Bakugo just said the usual,” murmured Todoroki, “Why is this unusual enough to warrant an entire page? The one about Ochako breaking the record got the same.”
“It’s in all of them. Don’t know why but…” His explanation was interrupted by the sound of Todoroki’s phone, an angry Enji’s voice yelling ‘ SHOUTO!’ echoing around the empty rink. “Why did you make that his ringtone?”
“It’s a preview to the main act,” was Todoroki’s only comment before he picked up the phone with a hard press to his lips. Deku sank onto the bench across from him, reading the article again in the meantime.
“Shouto!” Enji’s normal volume could thankfully be lowered to a manageable level over the phone, but that didn’t mean Todoroki was glad to hear from him. “I’ve got news about the sponsors for this year, you’ve got a shot with a big backing. As soon as the gossip dies down, they’ll sign the deal and we’ll have the Endeavor brand as our own.”
The reminder of the impending headache that had been in the making for months now, Enji’s new bid for fame and fortune in the shape of a merchandising line of sportswear, had finally come roaring in. Todoroki frowned as his father continued, pricing discussions and production numbers flying by his ear as he contemplated his future as a prop, a walking advertisement for his father with every jump he landed and every medal he earned. It was enough to make him want to quit skating despite the joy he had managed to scrape together from it.
The only recourse he could possibly have now would to take a fall so drastic as to remove him from competition despite all the medical hurdles Enji would destroy to have him back on the ice again. Looking across at Deku, perusing the tabloid pages and trying intensely not to listen in despite Enji’s booming voice, to the rink’s perfect sheen spreading out behind him, he knew he would miss it.
Not to mention the competitions. He’d been pushed into skating by Enji from the time he could walk, but he’d found a refuge away from his father on the ice during the events. Enji could yell from the sidelines all he wanted but the music would always drown him out, offering an island where Todoroki could carve out his own path.
And cross blades with Bakugo on his own terms. The spitfire who had taken the skating world by storm over the past year, known for his explosive jumps and even more explosive temper. The tabloids called him the Jumping Shrimp a few daring times, but no one could deny the air he achieved and the frankly astounding number of rotations on his jumps no less.
Despite his bafflement at what the tabloids had divined from the podium awards, Todoroki was at least aware of what conversation they were raving about. He’d taken second, by a few fractions of a point margin, and Bakugo had pushed up close to him as they were waiting for the ceremony to start. Nose to nose, he’d hissed the usual threats for taking silver, keeping a smile on his face otherwise for the cameras watching, and the end result had been a much different result from the reality of their interaction.
And in that moment, sitting on a cold bench listening to his father’s victorious imaginings in his ear, Todoroki’s brain drew a line between the contents of Deku’s hands and the solution to his problems. Now if only he could convince Bakugo to behave.
—————-
It had to be convincing, at least to the fanatics and daydreamers that wrote the tabloids, and it had be fast. With the deal hanging over his head, Todoroki put his plan into action the very next week. Getting into Bakugo’s usual practice rink wouldn’t have been easy normally, considering the ring of paparazzi vying to get a good shot of the inside, but Deku could work wonders when it came to getting information, and far more handy in this case, loaning him the pass into the place.
“You here to go a few rounds?” Bakugo snarled, coming to stop at the edge of the rink in a shower of ice and a heated glare.
“You said you could skate circles around me. But we’ve not been on the same ice at once alone yet,” Todoroki said, shrugging. He’d gotten what he came for already, annoying Bakugo was a minor bonus.
“Tch, I’m not going to bother with someone who holds back like that in a competition.”
“It didn’t even count towards our point totals.”
“Is that your excuse for why you didn’t give your best?” Bakugo scoffed, one hand braced on either side of the opening onto the rink as if to guard it against Todoroki.
“That’s why I came.” Todoroki looked him in the eyes, the step up onto the ice and the extra height from the skates bringing Bakugo level with him despite the few inches of difference. “Motivate me.”
“What!? Why should that be my job? Motivate yourself, half n’ half!”
“You said it was a problem, didn’t you? Your words to me at the Cup. So I have the answer.” Spreading his arms, Todoroki gestured to the ice, the smooth expanse of it already drawn on by the graceful arcs and spirals left in Bakugo’s wake.
“And? What’s that?” Despite his apparent ire, Bakugo didn’t leave and instead leaned against the plastic window siding, still obstructing the entrance but allowing a sliver of ice open to slip past him.
“Keep... doing what you do. I’ll just embellish a few things.”
———————————--
“Where do you get off calling me a ‘friend’, huh!?” Bakugo snarled at the next event, in one of the prep rooms in the back. The tv was on in the corner, running commentary on the big event with Russian reporters updating viewers on the newest contenders for the world competition. Todoroki could see his father across the room, attempting to circumvent an official event manager with sheer force of will. With anyone else, it would have worked in a heartbeat but Todoroki could count his lucky stars that this particular woman had a backbone stronger than a steel girder.
Even so, it would only be a matter of time.
“You agreed to this. No ‘half-assing’ as you put it. Do you have a complaint against my performance?”
“We’ll see on the ice, won’t we?” Bakugo glared at him, stretching onto the tips of his skate-guards as he leaned in close. “You give me something worth jumping for, maybe I’ll let you slide with that ‘friend’ comment. Giving those tabloids what they’re hungry for, that’s a cold move even for you, popsicle.”
Todoroki shrugged, testing the set of his foot in his skate while he eyed his father’s approach. He’d managed to earn an angry phone-call a day for the past month and change, and the merchandising deal looked to be slipping out of Enji’s grasp. All it had taken were a few pointed slip-ups before some fans and cameras, not to mention letting Bakugo’s shoves get a little more personal, and he was set. The magazines that had started it all were eating it up, eagerly awaiting the next scoop in what had been so far described as the secret relationship “hot enough to melt the ice”.
“What bothers you is not the speculation, but that I termed you a ‘friend’?” he finally asked, just as he saw the manager creek in what he knew would be eventual capitulation to his father.
“Dirtbags that run those magazines can say whatever they like, I don’t give a shit what they think. They’re not the ones I’m pounding into the ice at every event.” Bakugo grinned, eyes blazing as he looked at Todoroki and the heat that grew inside him in response was something Todoroki hadn’t quite expected. Competition had lost its inherent appeal years ago, it was simply a refuge now, but that fire made the embers that had long since cooled inside him flare up just enough for him to ignore his father for the moment.
“We’ll see.”
In the end it was close.
Todoroki watched Bakugo’s long program and knew it would be a close call for when his turn came around. The fast staccato beat of the music had been matched and sometimes even outdone by the speed of Bakugo’s spins and footwork, whirling across the ice in a trail of green and gold. He’d wondered how Bakugo could keep up that kind of rhythm, expend that much energy into a program when he could just as easily win it with less. But watching him as the final few notes died out, the heave of his chest and that infectiously cocky smirk as he bowed, Todoroki found he’d been exposed a little too long. Even before he’d started this ridiculous plan, he’d known Bakugo was formidable and ferocious, but hadn’t allowed himself to respond to it with the strict cage around him. But now was a perfect opportunity.
He ignored Enji’s instructions as he entered the rink after Bakugo, passing him on the way and sparing a quick touch to the shoulder. The fact that Bakugo didn’t immediately shrug it off was something to think about as he got into position. And it gave him the drive to do what he’d wanted to do with his long program all along.
Switching up the jumps, he stretched his limits as far as they would go, enjoying the hiss of his skates on the ice and the cold air rushing past as he spun along the edges. His arms felt lighter, legs less chained to the ground and though he was likely just imagining it, he felt like he soared higher too with each jump. He couldn’t match Bakugo’s speed but that had never been the purpose with his pieces, he was more interested in carrying himself along on the music with a slow build, the beat increasing as his seconds stretched past until he suddenly found himself reaching the end and a smile had almost stretched itself across his mouth.
The arena might have been cold—especially in the center of the ice—but as soon as the first trill of pipes sounded, Todoroki only felt the heat flowing along his arms and down his legs. His costume might have been just another of Enji’s plows at marketing, with the fringe of sheer fabric that flowed from his wrists like a halo all the way down to his ankles in waves of orange and a pale red, but he felt the flames they were meant to be inside him too.
The curious elation carried him through his bows, all the way until he’d stepped off the ice and a hand clapped him on the back.
“That’s how it’s done, Shouto!” Enji’s praise landed around his neck like a bag of bricks. “This will sweep everything else away, the performance that will put the Endeavor line into the stores and off the shelves.”
Todoroki felt the weight returning, as if his skates had turned to concrete blocks to make up for the ease with which he’d been able to complete his program. The kiss-and-cry awaited, the inevitable suffocation under his father’s self-serving pride and he found himself walking away with Enji’s words echoing in his ears. He’d undone all his plans in less than five minutes, without even seeing the score he knew what was going to happen, could tell from Enji’s barely contained excitement: his father had an obsession with calculating scores and Todoroki knew he wouldn’t be far off.
“Took you long enough,” Bakugo’s growl was a welcome distraction, so close to his face that the puff of his breath clouded between them.
“Not afraid for your gold?” Todoroki found himself leaning closer, ostensibly to not allow Bakugo to push him off-balance but he wanted the familiar threats now, the way Bakugo never spared a glance for his father but locked horns only with him.
“Pretty confident for a slow-poke, you haven’t even gotten the score yet. But looks like you finally stood up on your own. Good enough to beat.”
Todoroki stared into those burning eyes, at the challenge in them, and took a page out of Bakugo’s book. Curling a fist into the black collar of Bakugo’s costume, he fixed the problem he’d created.
The kiss was quick, was meant to be quick, if Bakugo hadn’t surged forward too at the same time, clashing into him as if determined to not be outdone. The flash of cameras popped against his closed eyelids, thoughts narrowing down to the warmth returning to him, the same fire as on the ice fanned by Bakugo yet again.
Sensing the brewing storm behind him, Todoroki let go of Bakugo and made to head for the kiss-and-cry again, but Bakugo held him fast for another second.
“Those fuckers are calling it a ‘flash paper’ romance, half n’ half,” was all he said. And Todoroki wondered if they knew just how wrong, and maybe just how right, they really were.

Class 1-A’s Comic Book Projects
I’ve been getting a lot of comments on Butterfly about how much people like the project the kids are working on.  First off, thank you for the lovely feedback! It started as an excuse to shoehorn in some themes and foreshadowing, while also giving the class something outside of the plot to talk about.  I didn’t think so many people would gravitate towards it.
With all that in mind, I decided to make some project headcanons for the whole class.  Relatively few of these will actually show up in the story, and the project itself will be mentioned less and less as it goes on.  All the more reason to put it here.
Here’s the link to the story itself for anyone who stumbles across this:  https://archiveofourown.org/works/17165612/chapters/40360787
The project is that the students had to pick out a pre-quirk comic book superhero, and write about how that hero relates to modern hero society.  They also had to pick a specific storyline to analyze, but I’m a filthy casual and won’t go into that.  Let’s go.
Midoriya - Superman
The only one actually relevant to the story.  Superman is like All Might, so naturally, Izuku would pick him.  Superman was also the first superhero as they are understood today, so there is also the meta perspective that they wouldn’t have their jobs without him.  But the thing about both of them is that their symbolic power is almost as effective as their physical power.  And with all that power, people too often forget that there’s a real person behind it.  A person who makes mistakes, who can’t alway save everyone, and who fears for their own future. Heroes are still human.
Bakugou - The Punisher
Isn’t Bakugou liking the Punisher basically canon?  But what Bakugou takes from him is perseverance.  Frank Castle fights an uphill battle that he can never truly win and could die from at any moment.  Yet he keeps going.  Because there’s nothing else he can do.  And that’s what heroes are supposed to do.
Todoroki - Firestorm
Firestorm is a guy who is two guys.  Todoroki feels like that sometimes.  But if he wants to accomplish his goals, he has to learn to work together with himself.  Not super relevant to broader hero society, but isn’t he a part of that society? (He had to argue a little on that one)
Sero - Spider-Man
Like most of his peers, Sero chose his hero based on the similar power set.  He spent admittedly too much time trying to recreate classic moves instead of analyzing Spidey’s place in history.  But then he realized that with how important the secret identity was to the character, not many people go for that anymore.  He ended up with a pretty deep look at hero regulation and how it’s hard to fit a secret identity with the current model.
Hagakure - The Invisible Woman (and the Fantastic Four)
Same initial deal as Sero, went for the similar power.  What she ended up discovering was that the Fantastic Four predicted close-knit hero teams would be rare.  Marvel’s first family is a disfuctional one, and probably wouldn’t last long with the added stress of modern hero bureaucracy.
Kouda - Aquaman
Insert obligatory talks to fish joke.  But Kouda did a fairly straightforward paper of how heroes protect the environment as well as people.
Yaoyorozu - Batman
She picked up Batman based on their similar need to be prepared; Yaoyorozu needs to memorize chemical formulas in advance, Batman needs to bring the right tools to a case.  But through her research, she found the much more interesting perspective of the dichotomy between hero and villain.  Anyone, powers or not, can make the choice to hurt another person.  And someone else can make the choice to stop them.  Both often involve violence.  So where should the line be drawn?
Tokoyami - Moon Knight
Moon Knight’s powers wax and wane with the cycle of his namesake, much as Tokoyami must carefully consider his actions based on the time of day.  Both must also contend with an additional voice telling them how to proceed.  Also, Moon Knight is Marvel’s answer to Batman and Yaoyoruzu beat him to it even though he called dibs this transgression will be avenged!
Iida - The Flash
The Flash is what Iida is working towards: a friendlier, funnier person that friend and stranger alike can open up to.  And shouldn’t all heroes want to be the sort of person the people they save would want to save them?
Mina - Wonder Woman
Something not as many people talk about in regards to Wonder Woman is the way she typically prefers to attempt nonviolent solutions to conflict before moving on to fists.  Mina is the same way, so she felt right at home (for once) while writing.
Kirishima - Luke Cage
A guy who’s skin is bulletproof?  So manly!  But Luke Cage and his stories have almost alway paralleled some real-world issue going on at the time.  In some cases, people believed his appearances to have helped influence public opinion about those issues.  Kirishima thinks more modern heroes should try and get involved like that,
Ojiro - Iron Fist
A quirk is just an extension of the body, and the body is the real weapon.  Both must be sharpened, not just one or the other.
Tsuyu - She-Hulk
Tsuyu doesn’t mind that people make assumptions about her based on her quirk; she’s a frog, so she’s easy-going and likes water.  But that doesn’t mean everyone is okay with stereotypes.  Jennifer Walters is a successful lawyer and hero, but still gets undermined by others for “anger issues.”  Tsuyu also admired her choice to remain in her She-Hulk form for the confidence it brings her, while many people in real life feel pressured to hide more extreme quirks in order to conform.
Aoyama - Dazzler
Searched “sparkly superhero” online and Dazzler was the first result.  Talked about the importance of aesthetics.
Uraraka - Booster Gold
Like Uraraka, Booster started out in it for the money.  He didn’t have the noble goals she had right out the gate, but was never a bad dude.  But after great hardship, he learned the valuable lesson that fame and fortune should always be second to saving people.
Kaminari - Thor
He had a bit of trouble figuring out what to do with his go-to god of thunder.  Unlike the more well-known MCU version, comics Thor isn’t super funny.  He’s got stuff going on, but Kaminari was really gunning for that humor angle.  So, he settled for discussing Thor’s origin and about the importance of staying humble in the face of great power and influence.
Sato - Hulk
When powering up costs you your intelligence, it can be hard to make good decisions in tough situations.  That’s why you need to make a plan before going rage-mode.
Shoji - Martian Manhunter
Shoji connected to J’onn J’onzz and his struggle to find acceptance with “normal” people right away.  The traditional image of what a hero is “supposed” to look like was out of date even then, and no one should be confinted to that box.
Jirou - Black Canary
The best heroes are good at a lot of different things.  Black Canary’s Wikipedia page under “skills” is nuts.  And Jirou epimmediately started looking up how to incorporate her musical skills into her arsenal.
Mineta - Rogue
I know what you’re thinking: why would I give one of Marvel’s best female characters to me of Hero Aca’s worst?  Two reasons.  One, Rogue is consistently near the top of “hottest hero women” lists, so Mineta probably found her there.  Second, the ethos of her character’s evolution is a line I think he could benefit from.  That being: get your shit together.  You can accomplish amazing things if you just get your shit together.  Sometimes, you are the problem.  Adjust your actions and mindset accordingly.  Get your shit together.
Well, that was long.  Thanks for reading if you made it this far.  Part of me kind of wants to write some of these essays mayself now.  But I think that would be a poor choice of time given my other projects.
Thanks again and please read Buttferfly!

BnHA Chapter 032: Round 1 Brackets
Previously on BnHA: Shouto told Deku about his tragic past of being abused by his shitty parents. Unbeknownst to them, Kacchan was secretly listening in. Shouto basically figured out that All Might is Deku’s dad, but let it slide. Deku declared war on Shouto, but this being a shounen manga, it actually just means they’re friends for life now. Endeavor was cancelled. Mineta was cancelled, again. The final event of the festival was announced, and it’s a good old-fashioned tournament bracket, so I am loving life right now.
Today on BnHA: Ojiro and another dude drop out of the tournament due to having been mind-controlled by Shinsou in the previous round. The round one matchups are announced. Deku finds himself facing off with Shinsou right off the bat. Ojiro warns Deku not to do anything stupid and get himself mind-controlled. The match begins. Deku immediately does something stupid and gets himself mind-controlled.
(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’ve read up through chapter 68 now, so any ETAs will reflect that.)
I should be in bed but here I am!! come to see who’s paired up against whom for round one of the tournament!
Ojiro, I think I’ve been misspelling your name as “Ojuro” on several occasions. good thing I don’t think I’ve posted any of those recaps yet lol
(ETA: I had indeed misspelled it, and I went back and changed them all, so basically I almost got away with it, and now here I am calling my own self out. smh)
look at Ojiro and his solid beefy tail
Tumblr media
there’s not really much to this guy so far
I can’t believe he made it to the third event honestly
he has problems with sitting. sucks, my friend
on to the chapter!
...am I to understand that we were this close to having everyone fight each other with foam swords, then?
Tumblr media
I can’t fucking believe all we got was a stupid tournament
THE MATCHES WILL BE DECIDED BY ~RANDOM LOTS~ ONCE AGAIN
all I know is that Shouto will make it to the finals and fight either Kacchan or Deku, probably Deku
disclaimer: I don’t actually know, I’m just running my mouth
do we really have to sit through some other random activity before the main event
OH!!! TWIST!!!
Tumblr media
Ojiro is dropping out?? why
GASP
he says he doesn’t remember anything about the cavalry battle at all. fucking knew it. MIND CONTROL
so he feels like he didn’t earn his place
in reality his quirk is just too boring to make for an interesting one-on-one fight. he’s better suited to background action. no offense Ojiro, I’m just being 100% real here, son
the girls are trying to convince him to stick around, but he says it’s a matter of pride. eh, if it were me I’d stay in the game and try to get back at the mind control guy during the tournament, but eh. he seems kind of shaken up, honestly, so maybe this is better for him in the end.
Tumblr media
aww. Ojiro. looks like you need a hug, buddy. why does everyone in this fucking arc need a hug
just to keep things even, this little roly poly from class B is withdrawing too
Tumblr media
godspeed, little man
Midnight’s like, eh whatever
doesn’t this fuck up the brackets, though? now they have 7 and 7. does someone get a bye in round one then? I guess they can determine that with the random lots too. hopefully whoever gets the byes won’t suddenly get all noble like these two idiots
oh, we’re not going to do byes but we’re going to replace the two that didn’t make it
YEAH GIVE IT TO STEEL RYOHEI AND POISON IVY
WOOHOO. SORRY OJIRO BUT THIS IS MUCH BETTER
TIME TO SCAN THE BRACKETS TO FIND MY SONS
Tumblr media
BAKUGOU’S FIGHTING OCHAKO??? NOOOOOOOOOO
fuck this means one of my favorites will be eliminated right off the bat
lmao Kiri and Tetsu got matched up right from the get go
damn, Momo has to go up against Tokoyami. that one’s gonna be good
no idea who Aoyama is fighting
(ETA: lmao it was Mina. for some reason I hadn’t processed her last name)
Iida’s going up against Mei. good luck Iida
Kami vs Shiozaki... I think that must be the Poison Ivy chick? interesting
Todoroki vs Sero... nice knowing you Sero
and lastly... DEKU VS MIND CONTROL MAN
oh my god. can we, uh. just skip ahead to that one. !!!!!
also, Deku and Todoroki out here fucking up my predictions right from the start. the two of you had to be in the same bracket half. just had to be
wonder who’ll end up winning it all and facing off against my girl Ochako :’D
lol I can dream
Tumblr media
this guy has “future villain” written all over him tbh
(ETA: I should just stop assuming that new characters are going to be villains. I don’t think I’ve been right about a single one yet.)
I assume the only reason he didn’t make it into the hero course is because he couldn’t use his mind control against the robots. sure, he could have possessed his fellow examinees instead, but they probably would have retained any points that they “earned” under his control
I wonder if the bags under his eyes are just a character design thing or if they actually reflect something about his character/personality/quirk. like is he an insomniac or something
he must have to do something in order to control people, right? maybe don’t let him touch you at any point, Deku
Ojiro’s warning him not to talk to him. I wonder if it’s less mind control and more hypnosis, in which case maybe if Deku blocks his ears or something... idk
lmao Bakugou literally has no idea who he’s fighting
Ochako knows though, oh damn
Tumblr media
I believe in you!!  but be careful though orz
“are you Iida?” “indeed I am Iida.” take it easy on this middle aged bloke, okay Mei
oh good, we’re skipping all of this
Tumblr media
hopefully even the anime will skip it, since BnHA doesn’t seem to believe in fillers and time-wasting!
LOOK AT IIDA CHUG THAT OJ
Tumblr media
GET THAT VITAMIN C BOI
also Ojiro appears to be talking to Deku, and Deku looks like he’s mildly freaking out. is he freaking out because OH NO TOURNAMENT, or because Ojiro is telling him what Shinsou can do? given how well he’s managed with the first two events, I’m guessing it’s the latter, or else he wouldn’t be looking so disturbed
okay I actually do like this picture of the girls cheerleading though
Tumblr media
just because Hagakure, Mina, and Ochako look really into it, and Momo and Jirou are just like, blargh. and Tsuyu is an enigma to me
TOURNAMENT TIME
Cementoss is building the ring for them all!
wow it looks really good
Tumblr media
I wouldn’t quite say they’ve been through “hell”... actually it was a lot less hellish than I thought it would be
is Deku in the first round? I guess they go from left to right
ALL MIGHT CAME TO GIVE HIM A PEP TALK YAAAAAY
he’s giving Deku a thumbs up and says he’s finally getting the hang of One for All
Deku says he still has trouble controlling it and it makes him nervous, like one false step could still fuck him up
well good. narratively, I like this level of control. it keeps each move risky, but also doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll end up incapacitated at the drop of a hat
wow. All Might says that right now Deku can only handle 5 percent of One for All’s true power
you know we’re getting into some real shounen shit when we start talking about power percentages
Deku says he’s just gotten lucky with everything so far, and All Might’s response may just be his most dadlike behavior yet
Tumblr media
I love it. the awkward pat on the back (head? shoulder?). the affectionate nickname. and the genuine compliment, because you know All Might admires the shit out of Deku’s hard work ethic
and he’s telling him to smile, especially when he’s feeling nervous or scared. because you’re a big damn hero, Deku! you got this my man!
here we goooooo
Tumblr media
not even Present Mic the mighty chatterbox can think of anything to say about Shinsou. bang-up observation about Izuku’s weird face, though
so now the question is, does Deku know about Shinsou’s quirk or not?
typical tournament rules: knock your opponent out of the ring, immobilize them, or make them cry uncle
yikes, they’ve got Recovery Girl on standby for this one. well at least they’re taking things seriously. but that means shit’s about to get lit the fuck up
“fight dirty if you must” how fucking heroic. I guess that’s the part where they test everyone’s willingness to get into the nitty-gritty huh
although they do say that going for the kill is frowned upon, and Cementoss will supposedly stop you (uh huh. just like All Might was going to “stop” Bakugou in chapters 9 and 10, I assume)
oh shit. this means Shinsou can win just by making Deku say that he quits... I think that’s what this is hinting at:
Tumblr media
(ETA: I actually don’t know why he didn’t just have Deku say “I give up” rather than making him walk out of the ring. maybe he can’t control speech? but at any rate, on my reread I realized just how sneaky Shinsou is being here by trying to get Deku to answer him before the match has even started.)
Deku he called poor Ojiro a monkey. punch him in the face please
Deku’s making a face at that
and he’s charging in!!
-- uh oh
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WHAT’S FUCKING HAPPENING DAMMIT
and Ojiro’s saying that he warned him
shit. Deku looks like he’s completely under his control already
Tumblr media
aaaaaand the chapter ends
well shit
BONUS:
Tumblr media
this girl looks exactly like Matsuoka Gou from Free!. it’s fucking uncanny
like I seriously want to get a picture and compare them side by side
you know what, never mind though, because while I was combing through google image search for a good pic, I kept getting distracted by pictures of Rin. why is he so pretty
what the hell was I doing again
oh yeah
anyways so Kendou here is apparently the class representative from class B. good for you girl. I wonder what her quirk is
there’s not much else to her aside from her being a motorcycle-loving coffee-drinking class rep who looks like Gou lol
but I hope we’ll get to see more of her

ONCE SHOTO HAD LIVED LIFE AS A NORMAL MAN, unaware of the realm of immortals. There had been many gods, back then, but his chosen one, his patron, had been Katsuki, god of war and victors. It hadn’t been by choice, but by the coercian of his family, for his father had paid many a tribute to the war god and so, it was only natural for Shoto to follow suit, no matter how he detested the legends of the man with no mercy, of the trail of anger and flames that blazed through the country under the conflicts of such beings, no less that one.
Another quality about the war god was that he had never shown himself to one of his followers, regardless of how devoted to him they were, not even bothering to speak to them as if they were all below him. This was one of many reasons he did cater to the war god like he did others, quite often creating offerings of food or material possessions to others, such as Izuku, god of perseverance and joy, or Toshinori, god of strength and speed, the All Might, the head of the gods. At least, that was what his many followers claimed, as both of those gods typically took the time to show themselves to each, and Shoto had met both at some point, completing tasks they asked of him with good spirit.
All was well and peaceful until he turned 18, at which point he did meet the war god Katsuki, who had appeared to him of all people. Of course, it had been with tasks, challenges that Shoto prove himself to the god as someone he could rely on as a follower, of promises that should Shoto mention their meetings to another soul, Katsuki would destroy him, albeit he was sure that was an empty threat because it was spoken with fondness in his eyes.
Tumblr media
( the fifteenth time they met, shoto presented to him a sword he’d forged himself as katsuki’s latest task. the blade was cleanly cut, sharp and shaped well, with a hilt made of various shiny metals, emblazoned with jewels in the shape of the kanji the other’s name used. the blade was named Victory, after the man it was made for, held out to him with shoto on his knees, head down, hands above his head. Katsuki has sneered and taken it anyway, inspecting it before throwing it down at Shoto’s feet, as if to reject it. He looked up, confused at the expression on his face, one that was thoughtful yet as feral as usual.
take it, dumbass. I had you make it for you so you can fucking fight me, he’d spoken, gruffly yet not as unkindly as usual. they’d fought that day and he’d lost spectacularly, but it was worth it to see the grin on katsuki’s face. )
The sixteenth time they met, Shoto found himself splayed across the ground, Katsuki’s sword as his throat and that same smile on his face, laughter bubbling from his throat as if it had been fun, and he wasn’t sure he’d ever heard a more pleasing sound. The next several times they met with each other were spent training, fighting each other over and over again, until Shoto finally won, although barely. He’d fallen, only keeping Katsuki down because he’d landed on him, his face close to his.
On the twenty-seventh time they met, Shoto won a fight for the first time and Katsuki had kissed him, intense and passionate, as Shoto would have expected from him. Chapped lips against his own softer ones, the smell of caramel wafting from the other’s hands as they moved to his cheeks, albeit he didn’t think much to ask why.
The twenty-seventh time they met, Shoto had stared into eyes the shade of blood and fallen in love with the war god, a man he’d once been sure he would despise.
Tumblr media
( the hundredth time they met, katsuki had all but thrown a bouquet of flowers at him and spat out a wish for shoto to have a happy fucking birthday, half and half. shoto had nearly laughed, because it was so him and regardless of the phrasing, he’d hoped to see katsuki that day. his favourite gift was the kiss to his cheek and the quiet i love you, shared for the first time, and shoto had smiled that soft smile of his and returned them, i’ll love you for the rest of my life, katsuki. i’m forever yours. and he’d meant it, more than he’d ever meant anything. they’d parted ways with a hug, touches lingering far longer than those of friends, and shoto had walked back home from the forest to partake in the celebrations his family had organised, regardless of how he just wanted to be with katsuki.
the hundredth time they met, he walked away with an aching heart, yearning to be back in the arms of the man he loved. )
The hundred and first time they met, they greeted each other with a kiss, professing their love for the second time, and Shoto was sure even the stars could not be as bright as Katsuki’s eyes. For all they were soft, he knew the other wasn’t a soft person, he was rough around the edges and angry and sometimes unkind, sometimes even cruel, but he was still a good man regardless and days like that made him want to kiss the scowl right off his face.
Tumblr media
❝Hey, Katsuki.❞ He had spoken the last time they met, laying in the grass with his head on the other’s chest, hands clasped together and interlocked fingers a sign of their union, of the adoration each of them held for each other, even if Shoto was simply a mortal and Katsuki would outlive him, time and time again, regardless of what happened. ❝What happens after people die, really? Everyone says so many things, but I never know who is right..❞
Of course, he was aware of the death gods, of the underworld ruler, the All For One, with no discernible name or past that anyone, even his most devout followers, had been given. Then, there was Tomura, the reaper, the one who took souls and trapped them in the underworld, few ever leaving to be reincarnated like the myths he’d so often hard would speak about.
He’d listened to every word Katsuki spoke, eyes closed and the other’s fingers running through his hair. That night, Shoto fell asleep to whispers of a promise not to let Shoto be trapped down there when he passed, to find some way to keep him by his side, regardless of how difficult it would be, for Shoto wasn’t cut out for the life that Katsuki lead, a life of watching the world rise and fall with his every breath. The guilt would crush him and he’d burn out, he’d fall and fall and he’d never be happy, not truly, if he had to watch most of what he loved die every few years. No, he couldn’t ever live like that, not as much as he wished to be with Katsuki.
However, not all good things could last forever and every book must come to a close, especially in times like this.
It was in the morning that they were found by one of the other gods and immediately it was raised with the others, the fact Katsuki was dating a mortal, a follower of his. It was frowned upon by many to be with a mortal, for few would take kindly to immortality and many refused to allow things such as this outside of short flings. Children with mortals were immensely helpful, hailed heroes, yet a god should never fall in love with a mortal, should never be with them like this, because many had faded before, left in the mortal realm, losing their godhood all for the sake of a pretty human who would sure enough die soon.
The last time Shoto and Katsuki meet is beneath a starry sky, promising their future to each other. The last time Katsuki sees him, Shoto is dead, killed by the reaper of death, a warning to all: gods should not grow attached to mortals, regardless of who they might be.
Tumblr media
The first time Todoroki Shoto meets Bakugo Katsuki is in his creative writing class at university. There was a familiarity to the attitude of the boisterous blond than he couldn’t quite place, but it didn’t matter much to him, because Shoto never did recall many things, not of his childhood following an accident, not of most days. However, he remembers that face from dreams, ones he had never been sure were real and wonders if he’d simply seen him before, because he couldn’t quite tell, but it would explain the face in dreams far more than anything else.
( on the hundred and thirtieth time they met, shoto was sick with a fever and he couldn’t seem to put many things together, but he remembered red eyes and hugs, being taken care of for several days by the mysterious man, even if he wasn’t exactly sure who he was until he was better again, at which point he’d been flustered and attempted to explain why he’d not taken better care of himself. katsuki had cut him off and said it was fine, that he’d simply been worried.
on the hundred and thirtieth time they met, shoto fell in love all over again. )
Tumblr media
He had watched him for a while, attempting to discern why Bakugo kept looking over at him as if Shoto were someone he knew well, despite the fact he’d never seen him before in his life. At the end of class, the other had grabbed his wrist and shoved a bouquet of red and white salvia into his hand, as if it mattered, and Shoto wasn’t sure where he’d gotten it but he couldn’t bring himself to care. Later that day, he placed them in a vase in the kitchen, paying no attention to their presence in his apartment. They’d wilt eventually and he’d replace them with roses instead.
It was an odd gift from someone he didn’t even know, but it was nice enough, and he couldn’t help wondering who Bakugo Katsuki really was.
Tumblr media
( they told tales of a god, once, who fell in love with a beautiful mortal and couldn’t stay away. they’d talked of the god of victory, of war, the god of heartbreak and anger and revenge, of all they entailed. they spoke of the god who had loved and loved for the first time, only to have his lover ripped away.
they never spoke of the man he’d fallen for, simply that he was an ethereal beauty. they’d said he was quiet but strong, that he rarely talked to others. he spent many days in the forest, where he was thought to have met with the war god, where they would train together and be with each other, in the tranquillity of nature where no one would find them, or so they hoped. they spoke of the boy taken by the reaper for loving a god and for not being afraid to be with him and they spoke of the war god and how he’d never shown himself again.
and they spoke of red and white flowers blooming around the grave of the man, salvia, they’d called it. red and white salvia in honour of the war god’s only love, and they’d cultivated it, grown it, spread it across the world so that tribute would never be forgotten and perhaps one day, the war god’s love would see it and find his way back to him once more.
but stories were just stories and no matter how it wasn’t quite as outlandish as the rest, immortals weren’t real, they had never shown themselves to people, not ever since then they’d claimed. shoto had never believed it, didn’t want to, because the war god had never been a kind man in myths, so it was impossible for him to have ever loved, especially not a mortal, even if he were real.
he’d been told another variation, once, where the all might had promised to bring back the war god’s love someday, so long as the war god could make him fall in love within thirty days. )

Harry Potter AU
Gryffindor (Students)
Bakugou Katsuki: Bakugou would be a Gryffindor. He represents many of Gryffindor’s negative traits such as recklessness and hotheadedness, but represents bravery and strength in the face of trouble. According to the Sorting Hat there was no house that would suit him better, even if Slytherin had been a slight consideration (Bakugou cursed him out, though, and thus a Gryffindor was born). To get out extra frustration he would be a Beater on the Quidditch team, becoming one of the most fearsome in history. He’s forced to learn Occulumency since his brashness can get him targeted, and the only class he doesn’t think is boring is Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Kaminari Denki: Kaminari would be a Gryffindor. He’s a very flirtatious Gryffindor who tries his best to be sociable but finds he tries too hard and his attempts fall flat. He does reflect the negative traits of Gryffindor in some ways as he neglects his studies, and doesn’t have much wit (which seems to be more of a stereotype than anything). When dueling he’s nervous at first but when he’s allowed to go all out with no leash on his abilities, he’s quite adept at it. His favorite class is Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Kirishima Eijirou: Kirishima would be a Gryffindor. Kirishima has a noble and determined attitude, and thus is attracted to those who display the same traits; he loves Gryffindor house, and takes pride in this placement. He’s an honest and kind-hearted person who has a heroic spirit, quite self-sacrificing for his friends and loyal to a fault. He’s a hot blooded duelist who does not shy away from a challenge, and would feel shame if he were to do so. His favorite classes are Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Midoriya Izuku: Midoriya would be a Gryffindor. The Sorting Hat took no time in placing Midoriya into Gryffindor, sensing from the start his great determination, bravery, and chivalry. He has many traits from other houses which makes him the Ultimate Hero Type, but he represents the negativities of Gryffindor house as well by being reckless and extremely loyal to a system and people who don’t deserve it. His favorite class is Defense Against the Dark Arts, and is consequently the class he’s doing best in. He takes thorough notes in each and everyone one of his classes and is a fan of Magical Theory class.
Sero Hanta: Sero would be a Gryffindor. Sero was quite surprised to be placed in Gryffindor, but despite his shock he’s quite proud of being placed in such a prestigious house. He’s quite good with people, being loud and a huge show-off like many of his house. He has a deep need to impress people with his abilities, mostly with others in his house. His favorite class is Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms.
Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu: Tetsu would be a Gryffindor. He’s a proud, proud man who would’ve accepted nothing but Gryffindor as his house. He’s a hot head who lets his emotions take over him far too easily, but many see this as a passion that’s hard to contain. He’s a determined young wizard who’s constantly seeking to improve himself, and he’s quite protective over his other house mates (specifically those in his year, but he has his eye on a few of the younger students who seem vulnerable as well). His favorite class is Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Todoroki Shouto: Todoroki would be a Gryffindor. He prays to not be placed in Slytherin house like his father, and the Sorting Hat answers his wishes, placing him in its rival house immediately. He knows his father will be displeased but is happy, as it feels like it’s more confirmation that he isn’t like his father. His cold and aloof personality throws his house mates off though most just take it as a challenge, and it’s hard for him to remain distant when so many show interest in him. He detests all in Slytherin house and starts off with an extreme bias towards them, but it evens out the longer he’s in school. His favorite class is Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Toogata Mirio: Mirio would be a Gryffindor. Mirio exhibits many of the houses best traits and, despite his lack of good grades, reminds many of the teachers of one of the greatest wizards of all time. He’s cheerful and friendly to his classmates but he doesn’t let them take advantage of him. He’s almost constantly working on improving himself and his skills, liking to practice physically rather than be stuck in books. His favorite classes are Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, and Magical Theory.
Slytherin (Students)
Aoyama Yuuga: Aoyama would be a Slytherin. Aoyama presents himself as something he’s not, being quite arrogant and prideful, but with a certain cunning and ambition that makes him perfect for Slytherin house. He can be quite cowardly despite his need to present a positive image, and will often plot to steal the attention from the more deserving. Despite this, he does have a certain kindness and loyalty to those who share his house, and he only wishes to be viewed as a competent wizard. His favorite class is Transfiguration (turning objects into something far more beautiful than they were originally).
Jirou Kyouka: Kyouka would be a Slytherin. She presents herself as rather rude and unenthusiastic, and she’s a bit annoyed at being tossed into Slytherin without much commentary from the Sorting Hat. She’s got a cold attitude towards most at first and doesn’t miss a chance to be snarky towards other houses when the opportunity presents itself (mostly at Gryffindor’s). She has poor self-confidence and tries to cover it with her cool outward appearance, but those in Slytherin are not fooled by such weak acts. Her favorite classes are Charms, Music, Muggle Music, and Orchestra.
Hagakure Tooru: Tooru would be a Slytherin. She’s a mischievous soul at heart though it’s mostly light-hearted fun and playfulness that makes her charming. Like many Slytherins her favorite and best subject is Potions, which she found she had a natural talent for. After having a prank played on her that turned her invisible, she found out how to brew the potion herself, and it is now near impossible to find her if she doesn’t wish to be found. Her favorite classes are Potions and Divination, as she thinks it adds some wonder to the world.
Monoma Seito: Monoma would be a Slytherin. He’s quite the passive-aggressive bully in Slytherin, who is entirely jealous of any and all who get more attention than he does. He’s quite manipulative when it comes down to getting what he wants and he’s not afraid to use people, though this is just because of his deep bitterness and the overconfidence his parents gave him. He mocks nearly everyone, holds a grudge, and doesn’t forget slights against him easily. His favorite classes are Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Divination.
Tokoyami Fumikage: Tokoyami would be a Slytherin. The Sorting Hat ponders putting him in Ravenclaw but feel it’s not worth it just for the sake of a joke. He loves the darkness of the Slytherin dungeon common rooms and finds he thinks best while he’s sitting in there. He seems like a dark and brooding student but is quite good at networking, finding it beneficial to work in teams where he can complement his housemate’s weakness with his own strengths, and network for his future. His favorite classes are Defense Against the Dark Arts and Study of Ancient Runes.
Shinsou Hitoshi: Shinsou would be a Slytherin. He has been stereotyped as the typical evil Slytherin since the beginning, as his family was made of Slytherins who are incredibly talented at Legilimency. He’s had a bad reputation following him and feels the world is even more against him when he’s placed in Slytherin, though the Sorting Hat says it’s because those there would be least prejudiced against him as they face the same stereotype. He’s quite cunning as a person and has ambition, wanting more than anything to prove that he could be heroic like any Gryffindor. His favorite classes are Occulumency and Legilimency due to his natural talent in it, but he enjoys Herbology as it’s much less stressful.
Hufflepuff (Students)
Amajiki Tamaki: Tamaki would be a Hufflepuff. He’s a very introverted, nervous student, but he’s kind to those who approach him first. He may also have many fears but he has yet to give up because of them, becoming known as a very hard-working wizard who rarely lets his fears drag him down. He feels like his two close friends outshine him but they’re the ones who let him know that he’s the glue that keeps the friendship together. His favorite subject is Transfiguration.
Ashido Mina: Mina would be a Hufflepuff. Mina’s a lovely, sociable witch who has an amazing talent for gathering people together. She’s got an easy-going personality and doesn’t worry too much, and she’s quite good at calming down her fellow Hufflepuff’s if they’re in a huff. She tends to be emotional but calms quite quickly, and she’s very adaptable to every situation. Her favorite subjects are Herbology and Potions.
Kouda Kouji: Kouda would be a Hufflepuff. Kouda is a quiet, shy person who doesn’t feel like he’s anything special. He is a sounding board for many of his housemates as they know they can trust him with a secret, and many come to hang out with him because he’s relaxing to be around. He’s always taking care of some sort of small, puffy creature. His favorite class is Care of Magical Creatures for obvious reasons.
Mineta Minoru: Mineta would be a Hufflepuff. As far as Hufflepuff goes most are completely confused as to why he landed in this house of honest, hard-working people, but he has proven to push through difficult situations no matter the consequences. He’s honest about who he is as a person, at least, and it gains him some respect from those around him even if they still question the Sorting Hat’s decision. His favorite class is Divination because he can sleep through it and still guess the correct answers.
Ojiro Mashirao: Ojiro would be a Hufflepuff. Ojiro is determined to improve himself as both a person and wizard, and often works harder than all of his classmates to achieve results. He refuses to accept results he didn’t earn from his own abilities. Otherwise he’s displayed as being calm and put-together, but friendly to those who come to him for advice. His favorite class is Transfiguration.
Satou Rikidou: Satou would be a Hufflepuff. Satou is marked as a hard-working Hufflepuff, who is constantly seeking to improve himself. He spends much time with the House Elves down in the kitchens where his common room is conveniently placed next to. He likes to talk and learn from them as they prepare meals, and they enjoy his company due to his kindness. His favorite class is Potions (he’s quite remarkable with his ingredient knowledge).
Shiozaki Ibara: Ibara would be a Hufflepuff. She’s a very honest person who dislikes lying to or trying to outsmart other people, as she feels hard-work and being straightforward are the proper paths to becoming a great wizard or witch. She likes to play by the rules and has a certain disdain for manipulative people, but she’s so kind that she often gets sucked into said manipulative people’s plans. Her favorite class is Herbology.
Shouji Mezou: Shouji would be a Hufflepuff. He’s a very gentle and caring person, with the Sorting Hat seeing past his slightly intimidating exterior and placing him in the house that suits him best. He works well with others and has many friends across other houses, and hardly shows ill will towards those who wrong him. He has a certain maturity to him that causes others in his house to rely on him, and he’d most likely be a Prefect. His favorite class is Charms.
Uraraka Ochako: Uraraka would be a Hufflepuff. She’s naturally kind-hearted but extremely determined, and hard-working. The fire lit in her eyes made the Sorting Hat consider Gryffindor at first, but found her qualities seemed best suited to Hufflepuff, where she would make a great role model for the younger students when she became a Prefect. She enjoys Flying Classes the most and would play Quidditch, appearing to defy gravity as she flies through the air, the teams star Seeker. She thinks Divination is interesting, but impractical.
Ravenclaw (Students)
Asui Tsuyu: Tsuyu would be a Ravenclaw. She would be a good edition to Ravenclaw, her observant behavior proving to be useful in the academic environment. She has a very calming demeanor about her and it would not be unusual for her to be a pillar of support for her fellow housemates, as even when faced with a difficult task she has trust in her skills. She enjoys Potions and Alchemy as it lets her test out different ingredients that can be used for other things, but she’s a star member of the Frog Choir.
Hadou Nejire: Nejire would be a Ravenclaw. She’s incessantly asking questions, whether they’re rude and intrusive or not, and the Sorting Hat deemed her worthiest of Ravenclaw house. She’s talented at researching and can often find information others cannot, though she’s not the most popular due to her blunt nature. Her favorite classes are Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, and History of Magic (with her in the same class, it becomes a much more interesting subject as she’s constantly testing the professor’s knowledge with questions).
Hatsume Mei: Mei would be a Ravenclaw. She displays the amazing creativity and smarts it takes to create magical items, and is quite renown for coming up with new magical items (some that are useful, some better off used for pranks). She’s odd and hard to understand at times, but she knows how to spot an opportunity when it’s presented to her; she, unlike many of her house, does not have a fear of failure as it helps her improve her objects even more. Her favorite classes are Potions, Magical Theory, Herbology, and Transfiguration, anything that can help her create new useful items.
Iida Tenya: Iida would be a Ravenclaw. Along with his regular book smarts, the Sorting Hat would find that Iida would grow most in this house. His fellow members can teach him to be less rigid, teach him how to be creative in his endeavors and how to grow best as a person while still cherishing his intelligence. He takes all his classes seriously and doesn’t seem to have a favorite, but he does like History of Magic believing that knowing the mistakes of the past makes for a better future, and likes challenges like Arithmancy and Alchemy.
Kendou Itsuka: Itsuka would be a Ravenclaw. She’s a very kind and sympathetic person, especially to her fellow classmates. She knows when to admit defeat and when others are working harder than she is, offering praise to those who deserve it. She’s not afraid to criticize her fellow house mates when they act out of line, though, and often takes on a big sister role to her friends. In combat she’s a formidable foe as her intelligence and powers of observation shine through when she determines the other spells or effects that are being used against her. Her favorite classes are Transfiguration and Potions.
Yaoyorozu Momo: Momo would be a Ravenclaw. She’s another amazing example of having both book smarts and creativity smarts; she’s incredibly intelligent and would make the perfect Prefect. She’s quite particular about studying the small, finer details of things and it ultimately helps her to understand her subjects are a deeper level. She acts as a tutor to many younger students of all houses. She gets quite frazzled around testing time, due to her lack of confidence in making proper choices. Her favorite classes are Transfiguration, Magical Theory, and Alchemy.
Adults
Aizawa Shouta: Aizawa would be a Slytherin. Aizawa has a very different view of how classes should be, and often teaches his students the importance of self-preservation. He’s incredibly clever despite lacking the extreme ambition some of his fellow housemates have. He is still determined to become a hero but prefers to act from behind the scenes, and uses his resourcefulness to his advantage. His favorite class was Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration as it helped him escape responsibilities when he was too tired to deal with them.
Emi Fukukado: Emi would be a Hufflepuff. Known to be quite a prankster, Emi is one of the most popular students among the school due to her outgoing personality and constant joking. She annoys many of the professors since she can’t seem to take things seriously, but she is rather intelligent and hard-working despite her general easy-going attitude. She is known to always have a smile plastered on her face. Her favorite classes were Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures as those professors were the most relaxed and even joked around with her.
Kayama Nemuri: Kayama would be a Slytherin. She’s always known how to use her charm to manipulate and draw in her foes, sometimes even using it to make friendships. As a whole she doesn’t like to be manipulate people, and thus only uses her powers on her foes. She can be quite sadistic like a Slytherin, earning her a reputation as a bully among younger students but in reality she just has her own way of getting results. Her favorite class was Potions, where she developed new types of toxins (that she’d never use on her fellow students).
Todoroki Enji: Endeavor would be a Slytherin. Despite his hotheadedness and need to show-off, the Sorting Hat can sense his underhanded ways from deep down inside of him. Enji is proud of his house but represents many of the negative traits of Slytherin, being a talented liar, controlling and manipulative to his house mates and other students, and using his fellow ‘housemates’ for his own needs. He was the Captain of his Quidditch team and often did extracurriculars to look good, competing near constantly with Toshinori. His favorite classes were Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Legilimency.
Yagi Toshinori: Toshinori would be a Gryffindor. The most famous Gryffindor of them all, he seems to encompass the entirety of Gryffindor’s positive traits. He’s top in his class in every class and takes as many extracurriculars as he can, and he’s deeply admired by students in all houses. He was offered the position of Headmaster but turned it down due to wanting to be out in the world, but is considering taking the position now that he has more limitations. He enjoys watching Quidditch matches and can be quite competitive, showing great house pride. He enjoyed Defense Against the Dark Arts, Occulumency (a skill that’s helped him against many foes, as well as Legilimency, but he prefers staying out of people’s minds).
Yamada Hizashi: Yamada would be a Hufflepuff. He’s as friendly as they come despite his loudness, and knows how to get a crowd going (even if they don’t want to be excited). He likes to be sociable and networked well when he was in school, and became a Quidditch commentator from the moment he graduated as he has the voice and energy level for it. He played on the Quidditch team as a Chaser but didn’t have a particular talent for it. His favorite classes are Charms, Transfiguration, and Frog Choir.

The Debut
Day 19 for Villain Month! Okay, not much related to “Natural Disasters” in this one, but oh man is it awesome! A big part of why I came up with my Villain!Izuku AU was to reach this point. I hope you all like it!
Read also on FF and AO3
“Are you ready for this?”
Everyone else in the room looked at Izuku. None of their faces showed even a hint of hesitation.
“I’m beyond ready for this,” Dabi said.
“Let’s see some blood!” Toga cheered.
“We’re continuing Stain’s work,” Spinner said.
“I’m sure everything will go smoothly, Deku.” Uraraka encouraged.
Izuku nodded. It was the big day. He’d been planning this for weeks. Nothing could go wrong, he’d planned for every eventuality. Even if they wouldn’t complete their true objective, at least they’d spread their message with the world.
“Let’s go. It’s time for the Quirk Revolutionaries’ debut.”
---------------
Today was not a good day in Endevor’s opinion. He’d been pulled out of his usual area to patrol in Hosu, since the police had received an anonymous tip that an escaped convict would be here. That wouldn’t have been a problem, except the convict didn't actually show up. Clearly, someone was sending the Hosu police department on a wild goose chase and they’d dragged the #1 hero along for the ride.
Around 5:00 in the afternoon, Endeavor started walking back to the police station to tell them how much of a waste of time this was. A few blocks away, he noticed a group of people standing on top of a 3-story building. He thought they were odd, but wouldn’t have given them a second thought if it weren’t for the words they shouted once he was right in front of them.
“Well, if it isn’t Endeavour, the #1 fake!”
Endeavour had heard insults like that before. After all, he wasn’t known for being the most well-liked hero. Usually he would just ignore them and walk away, but today he was in a bad mood.
Endeavour looked up and shouted back, “Who are you calling a fake??!!”
Although nobody could see it, the hooded person in front -- a short teenage boy -- smirked. His target had taken the bait.
“You, of course,” the boy replied. “Hero society is made up of fakes, but you are the biggest fake of them all. You are the farthest thing from a true hero, Enji Todoroki.”
Endeavour clenched his fists. What do these people know about being a hero?
Behind him, a crowd of onlookers were starting to gather.
“What makes me a fake? You have no idea what it takes to be a hero!” Endeavour demanded.
“A true hero wouldn’t need to be paid to save people,” the boy replied. “They would prioritize the victims over fame and glory. They wouldn’t be concerned with their legacy at the expense of others. They would actually have morals and act on them!”
Enji froze. "They wouldn’t be concerned with their legacy at the expense of others." Do they know something about Shoto?
He buried that thought. He could worry about his family secrets later. Though, that whole “fake heroes” thing sounded familiar…
Endeavour smirked. “I see now. You’re idealists who follow that villain Stain’s philosophy.” He should have realized it earlier. After all, he was in the same area he’d originally caught the villain.
The boy just laughed. “We are more than just followers of Stain’s philosophy. We are the inheritors of his mission!”
Suddenly, the boy tossed back his hood and let the whole hoodie fall to the ground behind him, allowing Endeavour and the crowd to see his face for the first time. His companions also came forward, so everyone could see them easily.
The leader couldn’t be any older than Shoto. His green hair gave no hint to what his quirk was, and neither did any of his clothes. He was wearing a white dress shirt, a black vest, dress pants, and a green tie. The only thing about his dress that couldn’t be explained as simply professional clothes were the back leather gloves on his hands and a sidearm attached to his belt. The rest of his companions were mostly nondescript, with one or two things about them that stood out.
One girl with a brown bob-cut had some metallic contraption attached to her pants and shoes. Another was a blond girl had a mouth mask and a large needle connected to a tube. There was a lizard man with an eye mask like Stain’s. The one who was probably the oldest of these delinquents had burn scars covering most of his body, stapled to what little normal skin he had left.
The green-haired boy spread his arms wide. “Allow me to introduce myself. I am Analyst, and we are The Quirk Revolutionaries!”
Bit dramatic, aren’t you kid? Endeavour thought.
Analyst let his arms fall to his side. “And now, for our debut, we shall destroy the king of fakes, Endeavour himself. Comet, you’re up.”
The brunette nodded. “Right.” She leaned down to touch her shoes, and jumped.
Before anyone could consider catching her from what would be a nasty fall, air shot out of her shoes and propelled her straight towards Endeavour. She’d kicked him in the face before he realized he was being attacked.
The crowd screamed and started running away. There were a few who started recording the fight, but they all made sure they were a safe distance away. Several patrol cars had noticed the disturbance and were setting up a perimeter. Overall, it was your typical reaction to a hero vs. villain fight.
Endeavour prepared himself to attack the flying girl, but before he could a blue-hot-hot-not-his flame erupted on his left side. When he looked at where it was coming from, the scarred man was standing on the edge of the roof with a blue flame in his hand.
The blond girl clapped her hands. “Good shot, Dabi!”
“Toga,” Analyst said, “Did you forget your mission?”
“Oh! Right!” Toga made a quick salute and started running off to the side.
Before Endeavour could wonder what that was about, he felt a high-speed slap from the flying girl. He tried to shoot a fire blast at her, but instead it sent him flying in the opposite direction, straight into another building.
The flying girl -- Endeavour had to assume she was the one called Comet -- hovered in the air in front of him. “Fighting in zero gravity is pretty hard, isn’t it?”
She touched her fingertips together and Endeavour slumped down. He hadn't realized his feet weren't touching the ground until he fell. The impact from the building hurt like hell, but he’d endured worse. He started to get up.
Comet looked back at her leader. “Dek- Analyst! He’s in position.”
Analyst nodded from his position on the opposite building. He pulled out the gun and got into a standard two-hand shooting position.
He wasn’t aiming at Endeavor though. He was aiming at the water tank on top of the building Endeavour was leaning against.
Bang!!!
The bullet hit its mark, shooting a hole in the water tank. Water started to pour out, the pressure letting it shoot out over the lip of the edge of the roof and directly on top of Endeavour.
Shit, he thought. This must have been their plan all along.
Endeavour wasn’t exactly weak against water; he was able to get it off him with enough effort, but the fact is setting fire on a wet surface doesn’t work well. He won’t be able to use his flames much until he’s boiled most of the water off his body.
He tried to get out from the man-made waterfall, but before he could a knife pinned him to the building.
A lizard-like face entered Endeavour's field of vision. “You’re not getting away, fake hero!”
With the water constantly pouring on Enji’s head and a knife pinning him, Enji couldn’t do anything against the villains in front of him. He could only watch as Analyst and Dabi climbed down the building through the fire escape and gathered around him with Comet and the lizard-man.
“Good job, Comet, Spinner.” Analyst turned to Dabi and handed the gun to him. “I know you have a specific grudge against Endeavour. Would you like to do the honors, Dabi?”
Dabi took the gun, but seemed a little confused. He aimed it somewhat in Endeavour's direction, but wasn't able to line it up. He probably had never held a gun before in his life.
“Line the three dots up, the center one with where you want to aim,” Analyst guided his teammate. “I’d recommend emptying the clip in his chest. It’s a larger area, so you don’t have to be accurate. He’ll bleed out in minutes and will be in pain most of the time.”
Dabi nodded and lined up the gun with his right hand. “Goodby, Enji Todoroki.”
Bang!!
Red-sharp pain exploded in Enji’s right shoulder. Blood poured out of the hole as fast as the water was raining down on him. It wasn’t lethal yet, but the shooter had more bullets.
Dabi lined up again, aiming slightly lower and to Enji’s left, but before he could pull the trigger someone else shouted and got their attention.
“Get away from him, Villains!”
“Shit, it’s Gang Orca,” Analyst swore.
“Is that bad?” Comet asked.
“He gets stronger in the water,” Analyst said. He thought for half a second and ordered, “Retreat. We’ve done all we can for now.”
Dabi didn’t look happy, but handed the gun back to Analyst. All of them scattered and ran in different directions, sneaking between the buildings so they couldn’t be followed easily.
“Spread out!” Gang Orca ordered his sidekicks and the police on site. “They can’t have gotten far!”
A paramedic ran up to Enji and started tending to his wounds. Despite his best efforts, Enji couldn’t stay awake and quickly lost consciousness due to blood loss.
Unbeknownst to any of the heroes, the four villains they’d seen fleeing the scene each grabbed nondescript hoodies from where they’d been stashed earlier. They quickly vanished into the crowd. In addition, one of the police officers who was seen chasing after the villains was actually lying unconscious next to his car, a needle puncture in his side.
----------
Uraraka groaned. “I can’t believe we screwed that up! You worked so hard on the plan Deku!”
Izuku just shrugged. “I didn’t anticipate Gang Orca being in the area. I’ll need to check what heroes will be nearby in the future.” he looked up from his laptop. “Toga, did you get a lot of blood?”
“Yep!” Toga said. “Mostly police officers, but I got a few civilians as well! I wish I could have gotten a hero though…”
Izuku smiled. “That’s fine. I don’t anticipate you'll need to impersonate a hero anytime soon.”
Dabi scratched the back of his head. “Sorry I couldn’t finish the job guys.”
Izuku shook his head. “It’s fine, Dabi. If anything, it’s my fault for putting you on the spot without showing you how to shoot first. I’ll make sure to do so before we go after Endeavour again.”
Spinner looked at izuku carefully. “You don’t seem very disappointed. Considering how passionate you were about our debut going just right, I’d assume you’d be devastated we didn’t complete our goal.”
“I’m disappointed we didn’t kill Endeavour, yes. But, we did still complete several of our goals. For one thing, Toga has several more people she can turn into. For another, we've proven that Endeavor CAN be beaten. Even if we don’t get to finish the job, there’s no way hero society will be able to rely on him again. And finally, we got our name out there.”
Izuku turned his laptop around and showed them the news feed. The headline was “New Villain Group Appears! The Quirk Revolutionaries: Anarchists or Genuine Reformers?” followed by “Endeavour in Critical Condition! Will the #1 Hero be Back to Work Soon?”
Uraraka looked up at Izuku. “You wanted us to make an impression.”
Izuku nodded. “As much as I admire Stain, his one mistake was waiting until he was a martyr to share his ideals. Nobody truly understood what he was doing, so he wasn’t able to force real change. But now that we’ve proven both our ideals and our resolve, people can actually be inspired by us.”
As he said this, Izuku felt his phone vibrate. He pulled it out and saw it was a text message from a certain person he’d met at the UA Sports Festival:
Shoto: I saw what you and your allies did. I want to help you, especially if you’re going to take down my father again. Can we meet in person?
Izuku smirked. Looks like I we have our first new recruit.
Me, trying to bullshit y'all: Izuku's clothes are like that because he always saw All For One in formal clothes so he associates them with power, but he wanted to add his own touch to prove he was his own man, so the tie is green like his eyes and hair and he's got slick gloves because he's very hands-on and... and... and...
Reality: Most of my favorite Villain!Deku fanart has him wearing a black vest and gloves. It makes him look so cool.

Even In The World Of My Hero Academia, Being A Parent Is Still The Hardest Job
Raising a child is hard work. Not only do you need to keep them alive and healthy but you need to foster their personal and emotional growth to help them to become kind and gentle people. That's why they say it takes a village ... But what do you do if that village happens to be populated with evil supervillains?
Not only do the parents of My Hero Academia need to navigate the typical pitfalls of raising children and teenagers, they have to do it with superpowered children who could throw a magical hissy fit akin to Stranger Things' Eleven at any given time. And that's if things are going relatively well. Make enough mistakes and your ward ends up leading the League of Villains. Here's how some of the My Hero parents have fared so far.
  Izuku Midoriya
First off, let's give a big round of applause for the best freaking parent on the show, the amazing Inko Midoriya. Inko has been nothing but supportive of her son, even if some of her choices may not appear so at first. She did doubt his safety attending UA, but what parent wouldn't after the school has been repeatedly attacked and children were kidnapped? It would be weirder if she hadn't had a problem with Izuku continuing his studies there. But obviously, Inko's -- and Izuku's -- defining moment was learning he would never have a quirk of his own. Izuku felt neglected by Inko's response -- he needed her to lie to him. But that's just the thing: what he was looking for, for all intents and purposes, was a lie.
The vast, vast majority of the population at this point has a quirk. Izuku is way late in developing one and Inko literally just had a doctor tell her that her son would never have one of his own and gave her physical, medical proof of that in the x-rays of his feet. Midoriya might have thought he needed his mom to give him a false sense of hope, but for all she knew, this was his reality. And without All Might, she would have been 100 percent correct. She was sparing him a harsh awakening when he finally had to face that reality by being upfront with him from the beginning. Which is honestly the better (and much more difficult) move as a parent.
  Katsuki Bakugo
Speaking of parents being totally cool with their children remaining at UA in spite of all the attacks, Mitsuki Bakugo has zero qualms about Katsuki's attendance. But that doesn't make her wrong or any less of a parent. Each child's circumstances are different, and Mitsuki is absolutely right in her stance.
To be quite frank, Kachan started out as quite the jerk. He was a bully and literally encouraged Deku to commit suicide at one point. Mitsuki recognizes that the teachers see her son for who he really is -- or at the very least, who he could be. Because of his time in UA, he now has friends! He's starting to kinda sorta have a begrudging respect for Midoriya! He's learning he's not always the best at what he does. She might not have tamed him through her own parenting -- he very obviously gets his fiery nature from her, in fact -- but she can see that UA is helping him to mature and develop and she doesn't want to take that away from him.
  Shoto Todoroki
So, those are clear examples of My Hero parents doing their best. But not even bona fide heroes are guaranteed to be great parents. And that's definitely the case of Enji Todoroki, who is a terrible, terrible father. His son Shoto is very clearly struggling with his mother's mental illness and his father's abusive and demanding ways. He has shut down and closed himself off from peers, teachers, and even himself. He literally hates an entire half of himself. He also seems to have some repressed memories going on, or at the very least, was too young to understand everything that was happening in his family life and has had warped memories as a result.
At the moment, Shoto is working hard to retain a sense of humanity and not to become wrapped up in his father's overly competitive nature. But now that All Might is out of the way and his father has become the number one hero by default, Shoto's future (and sense of self-worth) could be at the greatest risk it's ever been.
  Tenya Iida
For Tenya Iida, it's not just his parents who have forged his path and identity, it's his entire family history. Iida comes from a long line of heroes, and heroes are well-respected and admired in their field. His own brother runs a very prominent hero agency at the start of the series. It's that prolific family history that likely spurred Iida's brother to become Ingenium, and its definitely what spurs Tenya to live up to that example. He feels he has to carry on his family's name.
While Iida's obsession with perfectionism and his uptight demeanor seem like comic relief, Iida is absolutely driven to this by the pressure he feels to make his family proud. To be fair to his family, there is no evidence that they push these standards onto their children -- this seems to be Tenya's own doing. But he has some huge shoes to fill either way.
  Ochaco Uraraka
Everything we know about Uraraka's family actually suggests they are kind, understanding, warm, and patient with their daughter. They are willing to sacrifice their time, health, and money to improve her chances in life. And yet, Ochaco also feels immense pressure to become a successful hero. She feels heavy guilt and gratitude while watching them work so hard to provide for her and is desperate to return the favor.
While these feelings do push Ochaco to work hard and contribute to the pressures she feels, they have also proven to be beneficial to her. Ochaco's goals have driven her to come out of her shell, to see herself as capable of both supportive and more action-based missions. She has found a renewed sense of confidence in herself through her desire to be of service to her family.
By and large, it seems that most of the parents of the main My Hero cast are doing their best in extremely unique circumstances (with the exception of Endeavor, who, again, is terrible.) Maybe that's part of why Class 1A is so great! It will be interesting to see how the kids use these lessons as they continue to grow closer to their peers and teachers in the coming years.
