i need someone to keep me from making more purchases on traditional mediums. I will not use them. Do not buy any more paints or tools or clay or pencils or markers. Cut that shit out.

What's one hobby you have that you'd recommend other people try?

Oh I have so many this is hard to answer.... I think maybe just simple hand sewing skills? Just because a lot of it is really easy once you get the hang of it, and it's incredibly useful and multi purpose. You can make new stuff or save your old favorite things! I love mending my clothes a lot (saves money in the long run and saves me the heart ache), and there's plenty of different kinds of hand sewing skills you can learn depending on what you need them for. I recently even learned scotch darning to save my favorite sweater!

(Sewing is probably my oldest hobby too? I remember being very little and denied real sewing needles so I made my own out of Christmas ornament hooks and fixed my brother's stuffies with them and made my stuffies clothes. I got my needles not long afterwards.)

I prefer visible mending for most of my things, but I practice making it unnoticeable too. I've fixed bedspreads, clothes, bags, and all sorts of things! I've also made new clothes and other trinkets out of scrap material, and decorated things too! (<- personally obsessed with patch work things lmao.)

Admittedly if you get into sewing as a major hobby a sewing machine is very helpful, but I still prefer hand sewing where I can bc I find the machine to be a little stressful. I usually use mine on bigger projects to save time, but I mainly hand sew.

Also I know you quilt so I dunno if that was the answer you were looking for lol... I don't know much about quilting but it is still sewing, and really cool to me. (Long arms look terrifying to me however.) But yeah knowing how to sew by hand is really helpful and fun! It's relaxing for me when I have the energy to focus and feels fulfilling. Even if it's not a good hobby for everyone, if it's a skill you're capable of learning, it's very useful.

I fucking hate that feminism has become this defanged, easy to swallow (and ignore) concept of just accepting that whatever any woman chooses to do is perfectly fine because she's a woman! if she wants to be completely financially supported and do nothing but submit to a man and cook and clean and care for the children and wear a full face of makeup every single day then that's her choice and feminism means respecting that! when did we lose all ability to criticize and question the motives behind certain choices in favor of this polite apathy of pretending nothing is ever wrong ever and if it is it's not anyone else's business? it's a woman's right to choose to be a prisoner! do not examine the reasons behind this choice!

I’ve been getting a lot of TERF posts rec’ed to me through the #feminism tag lately. And they’re most often only tagged something like #feminism or #woman, so filters aren’t catching them. And it’s all just… anti-woman and anti-feminist take after take. Like. How have they hijacked the narrative and monopolized the meaning of feminism to be something so reactionary and reductive? They genuinely believe takes like, “women should be forced to abort children” are feminist. BFFR. They just hate other women having bodily autonomy.

I saw one just now where someone was like, “I was daydreaming about men just disappearing”— like being raptured— “and then realized that all women don’t know how to do male jobs and got angry” (and they did say ALL). They then went on to talk about how no women knows how to operate machinery because women have been prevented from EVOLVING to do the same things men do because men forced women to EVOLVE to serve them. Evolved. They were like, “all men could just… build a wood bridge but we women are kept from that knowledge. We have no teachers.”

Further fucking proof that these misogynistic asshats do not build community with black, brown, indigenous, poor, rural, or working class women. They live in a theoretical fantasy world daydreaming about men disappearing and “female separatism” rather than offering real fucking solutions. They live in a world where every last woman has the same lived experience as them. They assume all women are oppressed in the same way. They ignore intersectionality to purposefully minimize ableist, racist, classist, heterosexist, and cissexist structures so that everything is organizable into a simple and universal M > F dynamic. This way, in their chronically white movement, they, the white woman, is always oppressed and never responsible for the marginalization of others.

Oh. And the OP had the label “fascist” in her username. They’re self aware now, but at what cost?

Like 1/4 of the posts anymore seem to be from white radfems sexualizing Arab, Asian, and Black women (while denigrating and singling out typically Arab, Asian, and Black personal-care and beauty practices) while another good 1/4 of the posts seem to be anti-queer. And then some 50% are porn bots with #sissy kinks. The tag has been trashed by bigots and bots, and I’m surprised that Staff hasn’t marked it mature content yet for the sheer level of porn bots using the tag. Oh, wait. I do know why. It’s because Staff employs JKR stans who would rather label #transfemme as mature content than combat the porn bots.

Wonderful meal to Start your Morning.

While my fiance and I take time to find ourselves in separation. He has encouraged me to eat more of a Raw Vegan. Coming from a Man who I would call Omnivore and me Vegan at home and when I eat out Vegetarian at best.

He enjoyed this meal when I saw him the other week when we met up, he said the sauces tasted like a sauce from Arby's (it had been watered down in a meal prep kit more on this below on how to store this meal)

I was actually surprised at how full I was. I haven't eaten meat in 14 years but that doesn't mean I've eaten the healthiest but I get healthier each year and learn more about health (along with my fiancé, who encouraged me to bring any dairy products home as I've been Vegan many times) not only was I full I loved the taste of it. I'm a huge fan of tomatoes.

Even though my Sid Vicious and I are separated he's made a point to tell me not to eat anything with White Bread, Wheat, Rice and what can I say but he is right I bought Dave's Killer Bread my favorite bread but I did feel more tired the rest of the week

More onto this Recipe

I used 1 or 2 Zucchinis and spiralled them. Then pinched them so it is easier to eat.

The sauce is

Handful of cherry tomatoes

A few spoon fulls of Sun Dried Tomatoes

Add in some fresh herbs like Basil, Cilontro, Spinach

No cooking just blend it all right up. Also if you want it more creamy you can add Tofu if someone does not have a Soy Allergy or Soaked or Unsoaked Cashews&Pine Nuts blended with Tomatos into a creamy paste add more tomatoes as they have natural amount of Water in them that includes nutritions. Or even better if you own a juicer to juice tomatoes and use the Juice to blend with the Cashews and Pine Nuts first. Then add Cherry Tomatoes, Sun Dried and herbs adding Spinach will add extra Protein to this meal there is Calcium in Spinach as well in the Cashews and Pine Nuts the Tomatos are loaded with Vitamin C, if not more than a Orange

Notes

Taking this meal on the go.

Do not pour the sauce on top or in the zucchini noodles store in a separate container and drain water from Zucchini noodles.

You can also use Cucumbers and April them or a mix of the both.

Adding in more vegetables like Red Peppers to the sauce or small amounts of carrots to not over power

Soak Walnuts overnight to as a crumble.

If you're new to Raw Veganism, or Veganism, Vegetarianism, looking to Add more Fresh Vegetables, Nuts, Seeds, Fruits into your diet I hope this has reached you. This is a easy recipe that can be done early in the morning I would suggest Unless you feel sick as in you need to drink water or eat something to drink Juice in the morning.

If you have a Blender blend vegetables and then strain the pulp/fiber. Drinking Vegetables Juice, Ginger Shots, and small amounts of Fruit Juice first thing you start your Day, Afternoon, Night whichever you get your little or a lot of sleep will help with the Nutrition going straight into your blood stream and system. This is also why we want to avoid too much fruit as the sugar goes straight to your blood stream as well.
