My Bro came out and it all went wrong...

So I was asleep but I woke up to some of it the other night and I didn’t exactly want to write about it on here until it had all calmed down but... its been three days and it still hasn't calmed down. He cried a lot and my mum was constantly talking about how he isn’t “mature” enough to know if hes transgender and like... He’s fifteen and I came out at fourteen. I think my parents are worried that because Im going to start T that my brother is going to want to start T at the same time, which would mean that he won’t have even of been out for at least six months. I think if you are going to transition then you should wait at least six months after coming out or coming to the conclusion that you are trans, this will help you decide if you actually want to transition. Tonight honestly I feel like smacking my head against a brick wall because theres constant bickering and my mum tries to say sorry but my brother just says to “leave him alone.” I understand that hes hurt but at the same time... can he just pretend to accept the apology to stop the house feeling like a constant war zone.

So last night I had a little bit of a rough night from recently losing someone I cared deeply about and I wrote this. Tolerating is not the same as Accepting.

I came out to my mom as trans-male and she seemed fine with it, but when I asked her for a binder, she said no, when i asked for a male swimsuit, she said no, when I asked for male pronouns she said okay.. but hasn’t called me he/him once. And when I asked if I could come out to the rest of the family, she said we have a lot going on, and she would tell me when I could.. she hasn’t let me yet. So all that anxiety I felt about telling my mom and dad who I really am, was for nothing. My mom ignores it, constantly. I ask my mom for hair cut suggestions, she shows me only girl haircuts.. and no I’m not saying ‘girl haircuts’ like long hair.. but like ONLY pixie cuts. She completely ignores everything, she basically just wiped it out of her mind when I came out.. I don’t think we’ll ever move past this point. My dad sometimes calls me like ‘gangsta boy’ and when he says a joke about me he never uses ‘girl’ but he also doesn’t call me he. I don’t know. It seems like telling them has gotten me no where, and I’m too scared to ever bring it up again.

Hello people/kin! I’m an 18-year-old bisexual (kind of questioning if I may be asexual and panromantic) civil-rights activist who wants to take a jab at understanding the oppression transgendered people face every day.
