She's lived on her own for years, hunting critters and ... trespassers. Eventually the Ghost Hunting Squad will find her and try to rehabilitate her, with uhh maybe limited success. Luckily they know someone else who was demon possessed since birth, maybe he can help?

how well known is domino and his story to locals in the whorror movie universe ? or is he someone they eventually recounter ?

Not many people know Domino's Actual Story of why he is the way he is, he keeps that close to his chest. But he's got some sort of reputation for getting into fights and leaving disasters in his wake. Even some vague rumors about him being haunted!! "If you see the Hell Hound around, you better watch out!"

He's a bit infamous in THE Tri-State Area™ (or whatever. Where specifically? no matter) The epicenter for the more intense theories about him, such as him being haunted, spread in a few select bars he would frequent, but are not incredibly known outside that reach. General rumors, just of him starting too many fights, being a scary guy, etc, are more common to the average Hell Hound knower. He doesn't travel too far outside a certain range.. not a world wide cryptid over here! I felt compelled to make a silly Domino weather map, just to give a vague example of how he gets up to his mischief. :)

Domino doesn't WANT to be known as that haunted guy, he'd rather not be known at all, but most of the rumors are all talk and no one is actually getting out their exorcism kit or anything... They leave him be, they don't wanna get caught up in his trouble, so that's good enough for him! Except for the few people who take the rumors as a challenge, or the people who have intense reactions to his, idk, evil aura. (It's not a false rumor that hes getting into all these fights! It's just false that he's starting them all. His presence just, has that effect on people. *blinks sweetly*)

Parker and Quinn hadn't heard of him before running into him for the first time. Then after their first encounter, they hear about him. A Lot. Like when you learn a new word and now you are seeing it everywhere. But ominous, and scary! 👍 We all know they befriend him in the end but at the time, they didn't know that!!!

The new Ghost Hunting crew have heard some of these rumors before meeting him though, and Takeshi looks into trying to find Domino for an interview! Not that he beliiieves he's haunted, but, you know. Local biker freak could make an interesting story, he thinks! <- guy that doesn't realize he's about to become obsessed

I know 'whorror movie' is just the name of the universe they live in, but I love it and I think it's a fun juxtaposition against the actual horrors they may encounter. (or maybe they go hand in hand !)

new* ocs for the Whorror Movie universe! we have Chicago and Diana, a duo of sisters seeking out answers from the paranormal! accompanying them are Landon and Takeshi, they are hobbyist documentarians so this is a good opportunity to go on a roadtrip and see all the weird stuff small towns have to offer.

Diana is a believer and the rest are leaning more on the skeptic side but they're coming along for the ride anyway. good luck guys!

Domino: The Lamb

cw cults, infanticide, abuse, etc

Domino was born into a cult. A particular cult whose goal is to make powerful demonic beings. A more recent practice of theirs is to summon a demon into newborn children, with several failed attempts leading up to Domino's birth. Previously the cult members were trying to infuse a stronger, more mature demon into the infants, but the power was too strong for the young vessels. With Domino's indoctrination, his father decided to summon a lesser demon to try and see if the two could grow stronger together without overpowering and killing the child. This made Domino the first success in the newborn trials. As the first sire of the Chosen One, Domino's father gained esteem and a higher position within the cult. This was a huge success so Domino was seen as untouchable Golden Child and they are pleased to learn they have been blessed by a demon of the Electrical Realm.

Domino was never truly loved by his father. He was merely a vessel and a lot of pressure was put on him a young age, testing his demonic abilities and strengths. The older Domino gets, his father starts to fear that he's not progressing as rapidly as he should and he doesn't want to lose his status in the cult. Perhaps the only impressive part of Domino's trials was that he managed to survive, and as time ticks on the other members in the cult are expecting more from him than mere sparks and static electricity. More children have been born since and have now had more obvious results with their possessions. The shine of their Golden Child was starting to wear off.

Over the years his father increased the intensity of the tests, putting him in more and more dangerous situations to get a reaction from the demon inside his son. The demon was starting to defy the father in an attempt to protect Domino from the brutal tests. Being with his host from such a young age for both of them, the demon formed a powerful bond with Domino.

Domino's father as well as others in the community start to think Domino is not deserving of his status after a decade, but as the first success they can't take that away from him... unless...? Can we kill him? Hmm..

The father devises a plan. He claims to have had a vision and must sacrifice his Firstborn (this is a surprise tool to use for later) to the cause. He uses a ritual dagger and treats him like a sacrificial lamb. The light goes out of his eyes and he dies... for a moment. The ritual killing didn't take, it turns out. Interesting! But the onlooking cult members see this as a Miracle! He was the Chosen One! Not only did they make a successful vessel, they also made an unkillable one! :) 👍

This was lauded as a great success and for a while set the skepticism back, business as usual once again. But as Domino still showed resistance and restraint in his powers, there were whispers that maybe the miracle was all a setup. It seemed very convenient that the father would have a vision about his own son just when people were starting to question the validity of his status. Sure they saw the ritual killing but the timing of it all, you know. 🤷‍♂️

They figure that since he is unkillable after all, then it shouldn't be a problem to test it again. The father is fine with this since he was secretly trying to get rid of him anyway, either way works for him. So time and time again, the lamb was led to slaughter. And he survived!

The cult believes that due to the circumstances of Domino's birth and indoctrination, fusing a youngling demon to an infant, is what made him strong enough to come back from the dead. However, unbeknownst to them, its the particular combination of host and demon is what led to this. When other demons are presented with the idea that they don't need their hosts, they would take the opportunity to break away. But Domino's demon truly cares for his welfare, and loves him very much. Their souls are fused and intertwined in such a way (it's messy in there) that he'd do anything to protect him and keep him alive. And so he did.

In the last test that his father would ever do, he gets more and more frustrated with Domino, sensing that he'd like to run away from the cult, and snaps. Enraged, he grabs Domino forcefully and screams in his face, not at all like the gentle facade he put on during the sacrificial ceremonies.

He tells Domino that he's good for nothing and that no one in the outside world would love him like he does, and that you should be grateful for the status that you have here. You're a disgrace, and I will find a way to kill you that'll stick. Frightened at all of this coming out of seemingly nowhere, Domino can't handle it and blacks out, going limp for only a moment before the demon takes over.

Years of all the brutal rigorous testing and the multiple attempts on Domino's life while making a spectacle out of his perceived immortality built up and the demon refuses to take it anymore. Bolts of lighting begin to materialize from Domino's hands that his father was proud to see, if only they weren't aimed directly at him. In his final moments he smiles smugly and utters that is the promise that he wanted to see. But the demon was not about to give him the satisfaction, he would not allow him to bathe in that accomplishment. The bolts of lighting let loose upon that fucker and kills him!

With the father dead, the demon is worn out from the mass exertion of energy and is unable to fully protect Domino from a few burns as the forest around them is now caught aflame. But he is alive. He is free.

And now Domino has learned to live like this!

Atsumu feels like his heart is about to burst free from his chest like one of those weird alien things in that movie Suna showed him one night.

You’ve long since clued in on the fact that something was seriously up with Atsumu, if the table rattling underneath you was any indication. His leg bounces rapidly and steadily, each jitter making the table shake, making the cutlery twinkle rather obnoxiously, but the blonde doesn’t seem to notice the racket he’s making as he tries to focus on the essay in front of him. The words are blurry, a mess of syllables, periods and commas, and the screen is glaringly bright enough to put a strain on his eyes, yet he’s adamant about keeping his gaze set on his laptop, and not anywhere near you where you sit across from him at the table doing your own college work.

Roommates were supposed to be fun. They were supposed to be a source of entertainment, a buddy to drink with, someone to share half of the cooking and cleaning with, someone to give out to when the toilet wasn’t flushed. You weren’t supposed to strike up a ‘friend’s with benefits’ deal with them under the pretense of it strictly being just sex, you aren’t supposed to begin falling into their bed to seek more than just a quick fuck and instead drown yourself in the warmth of their affection and comfort, and you most definitely should not fall in love with them.

But here sits Miya Atsumu - notorious rule breaker. He didn’t just cross the line; he practically leapt and bounded over it like a happy elf just so he could be wrapped up in your arms and greedily inhale all the attention he could get.

He’s well passed the ‘butterflies in the stomach’ stage and is now wallowing in the ‘I am completely devoted to nobody but you’ stage of his little problem, and Atsumu knows he’s reaching a boiling point with every passing day he tries to smother his feelings and move on with his life.

And you - Gods, you - with your perfect everything, your kindness that is as unending as time itself, know that Atsumu needs to work out whatever if troubling him before he can ever come to rely on anyone else, and you wait with the patience of a saint for him to explode, ready to catch the pieces of his heart and glue it together again.

Atsumu breaks, allows himself a peek at you over the edge of his laptop, and wonders how someone slurping noodles with bags under their eyes and a hoodie with more holes in it than Swiss cheese could be the embodiment of beauty itself, and yet-

“S-So,” Atsumu finally snaps, and winces at the crack in his voice, but allows his voice to do all the work before he can melt into a puddle because of the gleam in your eye, how you drink in the entirety of his being like an artist to their muse. It makes him feel special in a way he was never allowed to feel before, and for that, he would give you the world and then some. “This is really awkward ‘cause I know I told ya I wasn’t lookin’ for love, but then I kinda fell in love and I would love it if you’d have me as yer boyfriend.”

Your eyebrows inch their way up to your hairline in surprise, and his mouth begins to ramble some more.

“W-Well I mean- we don’t have to go by any names like that I suppose if ya don’t like it. But it’d make me the happiest man in the world if ya did. And I understand if ya don’t feel the same way but I don’t wanna lose ya over something like this, and I-”

“I thought you’d never ask.”

His leg stops shaking.

And then it starts again twice as fast.
