“Love”

Love means nothing to me, saying “I love you” is like asking how someone’s day is. It's just an empty phrase I say In passing to those who believe it holds meaning. It's been used and abused too much for me to allow it any form of consideration.

But, if I say “I adore you” it means that I am enchanted by your entire existence. That every moment with you is burned into my memories for fear of forgetting the smallest of details. It means I've written journals about the times we've spent together, the conversations we've had, and the ways I'd come to crave your presence in my life. Adoration, to me, holds more power than any other overused words of endearment or love, it's how I say “You're everything to me, to the point I can't find strong enough words to fully encompass this feeling. There isn't a phrase, word, or description that could express what you truly mean to me.”

If I say “ I adore you”, just know that you are the first person I think of when I need help, the first person I want to talk to when something good happens. The person I want to share my thoughts and plans with, who I hope is always by my side in the future. The person I want to want, and who I hope wants me in return.

something small but consequential about alien stage that drives me crazy is the juxtaposition of mizisua and ivantill. mizisua, where love translates well and ivantill, where love doesn’t. where love is a two-way road vs where love is a crash test car. either way, it ends in tragedy. maybe the only consistent thing about the human heart is that it eventually breaks, maybe the closest they can get to experiencing their own humanity light-years away is through all the loving and losing they do

Edit: Ya’ll this meme above isn’t accurate anymore since other messages from the group came out. I made this meme when the first initial message came out.

In Star Wars we always hear a lot about the rebel alliance, but I feel like a big theme in andor is the effectiveness of small, individual, grassroots acts of rebellion. Brasso tampering with the corpo’s ship. The kid on Ferrix with the homemade pipe bomb. Maarva’s hologram call to arms. The people of Aldhani making their pilgrimage. The sign language on Narkina 5. These are all completely unrelated. The rebel alliance and the main rebel cells are not the only ones rebelling, andor shows people rebelling individually. These aren’t organized, coordinated acts. They don’t have an organization or cause that they are rallying behind, the way Luthen and Saw Gerrera do. They are just simply fighting fascism, one act at a time. Even just their acts of civil disobedience throw the empire off, with the officers panicking, trying desperately to hold complete control. These regular, everyday people are not rebelling for the cause, they’re rebelling to survive. These people have been radicalized firsthand by the oppression and destruction that the empire has brought to their lives.

I think that’s what seems to hit Luthen when he’s on Ferrix. His rebel cell and the others like it are not the only ones rebelling. This regular woman’s call to arms started a revolt. He and the other rebel leaders are not the only ones instigating these acts. Rebellion is everywhere, organized or not.

no because I’m thinking more about minthara being jealous. It’s such an interesting thing to me. Because she’s possessive, like of course she’s possessive and protective look at how she grew up but I think jealousy is new to her. In menzoberranzan she had no reason to be jealous of lovers, either they were so adoring of her she didn’t have to think twice or they were so inconsequential to her that it never crossed her mind. Possessive sure, I don’t imagine she would’ve wanted her lovers seeing other people but never jealous, never worried in that way.

and then she meets tav and she loves them in a way that she hasn’t experienced before, and that love feels so precious and so important that she’s microdosing them with poison because they cannot and will not die.

and on top of that, on top of this person she loves and being under the sun for the first time and recently escaping the voice of a godthing buried in her skull, she has to contend with feelings she hasn’t had to contend with before and it’s just so SO interesting to me.
