currently crying as I'm writing this but uh I reeeaallyy wonder when people are gonna decide to leave us lesbians with unconventional gender identities alone. please leave the teenage bigender lesbian alone. they're a young girl in high school who likes other girls whom their mother will never accept and has to hide their relationships, and forever hide their heartache after they fail. please leave the transmasc lesbian alone. people will whisper behind his back about how much of a tranny he is while expressing disgust when he holds hands with a girl. please leave the nonbinary lesbian or just transfem lesbian alone whom is too masc or man-leaning for your taste, whether that be because they're amab or a nonbinary guy, they're trying super hard just to live and can barely pass and is forced to hide or else people will accuse them of invading spaces or being a predator. I know you won't ever see us as deserving of the lesbian label- no matter how much we present like a cis girl or how much we've been discriminated against for our attraction, from my experience- but we're just trying to make it by too. I'm tired of just trying to convince people I'm allowed to exist. not be in spaces, be in communities, exist. please leave me alone. please leave trans lesbians alone.

I feel like, okay
Okay, I understand, I do, I understand that johndave is passé in 2024, but I need you to stop thinking about it like childhood friends and start thinking about the fact that they were separated for three years, that John lost all his friends, that he's not really anyone's John, not anymore, and that three years is a big change for most people and that John's current frame of reference for Dave is Davesprite and they definitely did not have an easy go of it, and that in many ways John knows Dave better than Dave knows John and obviously this Dave is different even from the Dave he met from game over who bit the dust and I'm just like
Man idk I just really love a, "we've been separated for years now and we used to be best friends but now we're practically strangers in a lot of ways and both of us have some hurt because of that" situationship you know????

hey!!!! remember standing rock water protectors and the dakota access pipeline?
the massive, poorly constructed environmental risk that spat all over the Standing Rock Sioux people's treaty rights? that dug up their sacred burial sites? the one where the oil corporation who owned it bought out a private company to do a sham of an "environmental analysis" and never consulted the tribe and STILL didn't actually get approval? the one that's literally operating illegally and without proper permits right fucking now?
yeah, that.
you remember that.
surprising absolutely no one, the army corps of engineers this week (September 8, 2023) released an EIS (environmental impact statement) draft for public comment that takes into account absolutely 0 of the tribe's concerns, and in fact did not consult with them once in the process!
they're going to officially approve the pipeline.
what's the good news?
IT'S A DRAFT. YOU CAN SUBMIT PUBLIC COMMENT RIGHT NOW UNTIL NOVEMBER 13!!!
This link RIGHT HERE (https://action.lakotalaw.org/action/dapl-eis-2023) will take you to a Lakota Law Project page where they've set up a form to make it easy to submit a comment.
All you have to do is add your name, email, and zip code, and it pulls up a form with a pre-written message you can just click and submit, listing the most pressing concerns. You can also personalize it if you want, but you don't have to. This will take you two minutes. Please.
you can also access the comment information on the USACE website here, email
[email protected] yourself, or call Brent Cossette, the contact for the draft, at 402-995-2716!!!
you can also donate directly to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe here.
