I find it incredibly funny seeing some fans complain that the movie wasn't "lore accurate" as if FNAF has ever been consistent with its lore, like
Wow, the movie changes a lot of stuff and is not accurate to what we thought we knew? *looks at The Silver Eyes trilogy* I can't believe that, how horrible *looks at The Silver Eyes trilogy* Who would've thought they'd change stuff that makes us doubt what we know about the series *looks at the fourth fucking closet*

I want to clarify that I just really liked the art style! <:D All the colors and themed characters,, it looked really fun! So I scraped together all the knowledge I needed to make some characters for it and then stopped there..

Idk if they would necessarily.. bond.? Over their similar traumas?.. but perhaps there would be a level of understanding between them.
Like, if Papyrus has these strange specific fears or habits due to his trauma. No one would know how to handle it, or understand it better than Jevil could.

Aw, I'm really sorry actually. I felt the same way in the end. I felt like having this really creepy and twisted story with Papyrus as the focus was interesting and fun!.. But not giving him any kind of salvation.? That made it not fun anymore. It was just plain sad. :(
And don't worry about the "possible" part. Its totally canon now XD Papyrus canonically gets yoinked from his sad AU and finds peace with his new friends. :)
As for Seam and Jevil, its.. complicated.
They kiiind'a keep him at arms length..? And its mostly due to the trauma they associate with him and the fact they feel so bad for having abandoned him. They just don't know what to say..
But of course, Papyrus has such a big heart. He fully understands that they're not super comfortable around him just yet. So he kindly gives them space and avoids the subject around them.
Not to worry though. Eventually the tension will dissolve and he will build true friendships with the both of them. :)

XDD Ok so the story with that is-- in my Sister Location AU I'm thinking that William Afton is using his circus as a front to go from town to town murdering kids..
What I mean about Funtime Freddy being safe to hug "for now".. is that I haven't fully decided if I want William to murder kids by having the animatronics snatch them up.. Ooorr if he just uses them/the circus as one big lure and distraction and does all the murdering himself.
So far I kiiind'a like the idea that the animatronics are innocent and aren't used as tools to murder kids. But that could change. So Freddy is safe to hug!.. For now.. :)

I wish I actually had anything to tell you XD those 3 characters are a bit underdeveloped--
So far though I've planned that Urchin and Cuttlefish are besties. Think Bratty and Catty from Undertale..? I had plans for Cuttlefish to be an experienced pirate that came from another crew. She somehow became indebted to Seafoam and by the time she paid her debt.. she was really attached to the crew. So she stuck around.
Though with her personality being sly and crafty.. I would expect her to find a way to slip through the crew fingers and escape instead of paying her debt. Soooo that backstory might be given to another character or at least has to be altered in some way..
For Spider Crab I'm playing around with the idea that he is the crews medic. Also I think him, Louis and Octo would be friends. I can see Louis always dragging Spider into doing fun activities with the rest of the crew XD Also Him and Octo are close becuase they both understand/respect each others space... that and Octo isn't loud and obnoxious like Louis is XDD
That's unfortunately all the info those characters have atm.. thank you for taking interest in them though! :DD It makes me very smile :}}

I know, I know I'm a scratched record
But I'm dying to hear your thoughts on the Wakfu finale when you get to it!
I just finished watching it and it's uuh... hmm. I read people saying the finale was "satisfactory" but I am not fully on board with that sentiment.
Too much left unanswered, not enough wrapped up, too rushed to get to the end.
I know the Waven game is a continuation of sorts, it takes place decades after Wakfu's conclusion so that game might hold some answers or closure, buuuuttt... I'm not interested enough in the game to play and find out. I guess I've grown a bit tired of the whole cross-media info/lore some franchises love to do (like Blizzard and covering important info across the Warcraft games, books and short stories).
Wakfu season 4 obviously has an open ending, no matter that it is the final season, so who knows what might follow. I'm just a little saddened that the story picked up a little too late this season but the animation, particularly during action scenes, was pretty great... when not using the same static images of characters xDD They loved that a little too much but I understand the budget wasn't that big so I can't really fault Ankama for it.
Did I like this season? Mmmyyeeaaah, it's a mixed bag. Better than season 3 but not better than the first two seasons or even the OVA episodes. Glad it exists but I don't feel super satisfied with its conclusion.
HEAVY SPOILERS ahead, so be mindful but gonna share some thoughts:
Seeing Joris play a bigger part in the second half of the 4th season, and him vibing with Adamaï made me very giddy and happy. Love that for them, hope they become good friends. And thank fek neither of them died. RIP, Qilby, Armand and Brakmar (maybe?). The guys who needed to redeem themselves got their chance, at least.
Goddess Eliatrope was a big disappointment and an unlikeable character but I guess that was kind of the point...? Angry that she totally ignored Chibi and Grougal, like what the fuck even? Didn't even show a hint of acknowledgment towards them. What if they wanted to meet mom, huh?? And what even happened to Baltazar and Glip, who were in Emrub with the same kids that were asleep in Goddess Eliatrope's belly? What did she do with them?
But hey, at least my headcanon that the Sadida and Eliatropes will combine into a single kingdom/people (which I also wrote about in my Rebirth fic) actually happening was pretty satisfying x'D It even has Wakfu-infused trees, om nom nom.
A little frustrated with Necroworld (not the same Necroworld from the Transformers: Lost Light comics) because it's supposed to be a different planet in some other universe but it had dofus (dragon eggs) and races of the Twelve like Sadida, Sram and Sacrier. It was pretty confusing... Imo, it should have been something similar to The Upside Down (Stranger Things), or an alternate version of the world of Twelve rather than a completely separate place. But eh...
Why did nobody care about the state Inglorium was in, or that the Gods have disappeared? That bothered me so so so soooo much during the first two episodes; nobody non-Eliatrope or non-demigod cared that their God/Goddess was... well... gone. Aside from God Iop, where are they?? Hated the disinterest, hated the silence around it. Guess that's a mystery that will be unraveled in some other media.
Yugo grew tall and handsome and I'm not afraid to say it. Happy for him, though him suddenly growing so quickly was a bit silly. I figured there would be a time skip to justify his 'growth' that we saw in promotional images and teasers. Won't complain though, he deserved to finally be in a body that reflects his actual age, it took him long enough!
"Bootleg Alys" from the Dofus movie made a cameo in episode 11 which made me snerk. (I noticed a few more background characters from the movie that were re-used in episode 11.)

And that's all I have to say, at least here on Tumblr. It was quite a ride.
A big thanks Ankama and all the Kickbackers that made it possible; this show had its ups and downs over the past decade but it was enjoyable and loved. It still holds a special place in my heart and I will keep a tiny eye out for more Krozmos stuff in the future (like Welsh & Shedar, gimme!!).

Are Prologues Worth Your Time?
It felt like every book I picked up when I was a kid and a teenager had a prologue. I thought they were super deep and essential foreshadowing, but then I went to college for creative writing.
You know what every professor taught?
Prologues are outdated and unnecessary.
I was shocked. Not that I’d ever say that I had only read the greatest books (many were trash—and some, beloved trash), but how could so many published books have outdated and unnecessary prologues where they’re supposed to hook a reader?
Here are a few thoughts you can consider when unwrapping this problem for yourself.
Give Your Prologue a Purpose
There are two primary purposes for prologues:
They give the reader a glimpse of a future event in the plot (like a movie trailer).
They give the reader a glimpse into the fictional world’s past to set the scene for the current world (like a flashback).
You don’t necessarily need to put a prologue in your manuscript. Your reader will likely get hooked from the first chapter you’ve worked so hard on. However, if your character/world/conflict will drastically change later, you can make the reader wonder, “How does it get from here to there?” after the first chapter with a prologue.
Flashback prologues are also helpful. A handful of pages could introduce the reader to a conflict (a deity getting betrayed by other gods and cursing all humans to forget they exist) that sets the tone/explains why your universe exists the way it does (every single character and person in the novel doesn’t know about gods because their history has been wiped from their minds, but the protagonist meets one of the gods who betrayed the antagonist deity and wants others to see/hear them too).
How to End a Prologue
Your prologue should end with the reader fully engaged, but wondering—WHAT?!
This might mean that you write your prologue (after deciding on one of the purposes mentioned above) when you’ve finished your manuscript. You’ll know exactly which historical or future point in your world will be most relative to your plot and the most captivating for your reader.
If George R.R. Martin had become inspired to write Game of Thrones based on an idea like this—historically powerful households go to war with each other to regain the most powerful throne in the realm, based on their various birthrights—and written the prologue immediately, we never would have been introduced to the potential-dead-brought-back-to-life in the actual prologue. 
You gotta admit, zombies are a much more gripping hook than political rivalries. Especially when there are so many rivalries and so much history to learn before the tension builds!
When a Prologue May Be Necessary
Sometimes writers feel that their first few chapters are basically info dumps. You may have created a complex world with lots of history, lore, and ongoing conflict. The reader has to understand it all in the first five chapters, but it makes your story read like a textbook.
Prologues can help by summarizing the most important information the reader has to grasp to enjoy your manuscript. Challenge yourself to write some flash fiction (in this case, ~1-3 pages) about your novel’s world to see if you can create a prologue that condenses the most essential info for the reader. You can edit the next few chapters to see if they have better flow/pacing.
Reasons to Avoid Writing a Prologue
You may need to remove your prologue or pass on writing one if you agree with any of these factors:
The info explained in the prologue (history, initial conflict) reappears later in the plot.
You’re including the prologue because your first chapter is boring (just rewrite the first chapter—it will likely still feel boring even with an amazing prologue).
You feel like you have to have one. (This is common in fantasy/sci-fi.)
You want a prologue to set the mood for your story. (That’s the job of your first chapter.)
You need a prologue to do all of your world-building. (Introducing the reader gradually to your world through action-based events the first few chapters is much more engaging than an info-dump prologue.)
Make Your Decision After Getting to Know Your WIP
I tend to think of prologues as something you consider and potentially write well after developing your WIP. Get to know your characters, your plot, the stakes, and the world’s history/conflict before deciding if a prologue would hook your readers. You can always write it in a separate document/page and play around with removing/adding it with beta readers.

I don’t know if you have answered this question before, but what is Capcom’s/CAP! Fan-books for? Are they really canon? Asked because a lot of people seemed to take Leon’s information from there and go around just shove it to people’s faces like it’s some canoncanon stuff!!
no, they're not canon.
nothing outside of the games or movies is canon.
the fan books were part of a bygone era where the majority of video game advertisement happened in magazines. some game magazines successfully made the transition to the internet era, like game informer, famitsu, and electronic gaming monthly, but. most of them died off.
and the big publishers had their own magazines, too. playstation magazine. nintendo power. xbox world. even sega had their own, but no one remembers what it's called anymore because who the fuck cares about sega

the point is
capcom had their own, too. and they were the CAP! fan books.
but, like all other gaming magazines of the 90s, they were ads. like, sure, they had maps and game tips and hints and they published fanworks, but primarily, the purpose of their existence was to advertise/sell merchandise and advertise promotions and upcoming games.
i have never in my life seen a fandom take anything said in any of these magazines from the 90s as need-to-know canon law prior to modern-day RE fandom. it is BAFFLING to me the current generation of RE fans has decided to do this.
you will never see an FF7 fan pull something from a 1997 edition of playstation magazine and be like "well actually" with it. or see a halo fan pull something said in xbox world and hold it up as canon.
other capcom fandoms don't even do this. devil may cry fandom doesn't do this. street fighter fandom doesn't do this. megaman fandom doesn't do this.
this is literally just gatekeeping and elitism on the part of RE fans who want to gain clout by being the only source to translate these ancient, arcane writings. so they tell people, oh yeah, all of this is canon and important to know for the background of the characters, and you can really only get this information from me.
like it's disgusting. it's so fucking gross to me.
and these people will insist that this shit is canon and say anyone who disagrees just "doesn't understand how RE canon works" because they know that if they admit that it's not canon (because it's not), then the series lore becomes accessible to EVERYONE without the need for an intermediary because all of it is, in fact, in the games and movies. and then those people will become irrelevant and lose their following.
and they can't have that. because they're attention whores.
so, no, don't listen to those people. everything that exists canonically within RE is fully accessible to you. you do not need to go outside the series itself at all. don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.

Disappointed, bored & hurt, the worst trifecta:
I don't care what anyone else thought if the movie, if you liked it, good for you, I am happy you were able to enjoy it. I am not going to argue with you and tell you you're wrong for liking it and just being happy it actually got made because I don't want to ruin it for you. But I am going to say my piece regardless because I have been thinking about it all week and it is really bothering me and I want there to be helpful criticism out there for Scott Cawthon to pull from the fan base.
So I will start by saying that yes, I have been a fan since 2014 when Markiplier first uploaded his first video, and I have been watching countless YouTubers since then for it. Ranging from gamers who play the games, to theorists who disect them, and I cant even begin to count how many hours I have sunk into this franchise to watch all of those videos, so this isn't just someone coming in later and not getting it or something. Of course I caught things like Sparky the dog, and the Ella spring lock suit and thought "Oh my God, what a deep cut, how nice." But that in itself does not make a movie. Nor do the YouTuber appearances like MatPat being a waiter named Ness (as much as that moment was the highlight of the film) A movie needs to be written to make the audience CARE about it, it's world, it's characters. And this movie sadly just did not do that for any of the characters, be they human, ghost or animatronic.
Vanessa info dumping is a quick way to get the lore across, and yes fans already know the lore so I understand WHY things were done that way, but you should always SHOW not TELL. We fans would have loved to see it all unfold before our eyes, rather than just have some cop hang around for some reason to just spew lore out her mouth at us. We want to SEE the restaurant being established and built up, we want to see William spiral and finally decide to kill the kids, we want to see each conversation he had with each kid to get them to follow him, we want to see him kill them and put them in the suits, we want to see the kids ghosts adjusting to the suits and begin their rampage of killing guards.
That's Fnaf, that's what we are here for, the lore of the restaurant franchise, its history, its animatronics, that is all important for getting us invested, that and the mystery of it all since we like trying to solve things. So of course you don't have to show every single little thing lore wise, we do like to try to theorize and figure things out for ourselves when we are given enough pieces of the puzzle to do so, like if you are going to carry over that William also had 2 sons but you're planning to have them both be dead (one to Fredbear and one to Circus Baby) then you don't need to show us explicitly which one died first, but some things you really do need to layout for the audience to be able to feel invested in the movie. Again, like the characters, we have no reason to feel attached to Vanessa.
We don't know enough about her to care about whether or not she comes out of her coma. We have vague implications that William wasn't the best dad and that she has lasting trauma from that experience as his daughter, but we don't know what the trauma is or how severe her suffering was, so we can't truly empathize with her. Was she beaten by him? Or just yelled at or neglected? We don't know. And when building a character those sorts of things need to stated or at least hinted at more clearly to build intrigue and investment in the character. But they must be likeable as well, and non of the characters in the movie were relatable or likable enough. Mike was relatable, but his likability factor went out the window when he sold out his sister for a long dead brother that we also knew nothing about so we could care about him. The ghost kids weren't established enough as characters either, and while that may be because they have been there so long that they are not fully themselves anymore and you wanted to emphasize that it isn't really them just the negative emotions like anger and such that were left behind, it made it impossible for us to care about them beyond going "Oh dang, dead kids, poor things...Oh well, hey look at that animatronic." The only one who speaks is Golden Freddy's kid, and he was a brat.
On the topic of the animatronics, they were perhaps the biggest disappointment in the entire movie. It seemed like they were left as silent vessels for the kids both to try to make them scarier and fit the first game since they never talked in Fnaf 1, as well as to try to further emphasize the fact that this was about the ghost kids from the MCI situation. But it didn't work in either of those favors. The bots weren't scary, like the only time they had any level of intimidation factor was when Freddy stomped over to Mike when they were first introduced, and that was purely because of their size difference. The animatronics just came across as goofy. Like, how could they be threatening when they are so weak and slow that Bonnie and Freddy have to work together to lift one single little table? What makes them scary in the games is what they are capable of, how we see them move fast, how they are capable of intricate thought and planning, how they hide behind a friendly and calming facade but they are truly sinister and can outmatched any human in speed, strength and durability. But seeing the bots in the movie move so slow, barely be able to lift, go down so easily from one shot of a stun gun, it just takes any chance of them being perceived as an actual thing to fear away immediately. Not to mention the red and orange glowing eyes. It's like they are playing red light green light with their eyes and I could only laugh whenever I saw them. Where was was the iconic and chilling black with white pin pricks we all know and love? Those would have sent chills down any player's spine seeing them. The animtronics just looked so silly, and didn't have anything to backup their danger factor aside from killing some random break in thugs, 2 of which walked right into their own Demise so the bots didn't even have to work for it to show what they are capable of, (Freddy and Bonnie). And I get it, I know they were staged this way because the people in the suits probably can't see or move that well in them, and those physical limitations inhibit what can be done for the movie. But if that is the case, then why even bother making real suits and animatronics for this? If it is going to negatively impact the movie by posing such limitations, then don't waste the time or money on them, just use CGI. I would have preferred that even, since it would have allowed the animatronics to be as close as possible both look wise and feel wise to the game. As it is, Chica is the only one who perfectly matches how she looks in Fnaf 1. The boys all have slight color issues that keep them from being accurate adaptations. Really getting the creature shop to make them real was a mistake in every way except for the fact that it gives a chance for people to meet them irl at exhibits and stuff. But that isn't worth it if it requires shooting the movie in the foot. The animatronics should have been present more, they should have DONE more, they ARE Five Nights at Freddy's. We need them to be more involved, otherwise it feels less like a FNAF movie and more like the Fnaf bots making a cameo in some family drama movie.
Also, let's talk more about Mike and his whole dream thing. We got it the first time, we didn't need to see it over and over and over again. That was boring. Heck, the whole first 1/3 of the movie was just tedious and dull with all the setup and family drama, it felt like I was left waiting for the movie to actually start, like I was watching a required video before I could actually watch the movie. Yes, it was important to establish how down on his luck Mike was and why he needed a job and how this was his only option for work so he had to take it, even if it wasn't ideal. But the bots didn't even attack him until around night 3 or 4. So it was less about Mike coming back to the job despite the danger, and more about Mike just coming back despite it not working great with his schedule. And his backstop could have been established far faster and with less monotony. It took up so much of the run time that we could have spent better elsewhere, such as fleshing out William some more or on the animatronic side of things like I said earlier.
And God, William, oh William...He is just never going to be an actual threat again, is he? Like, odd enough to shift him from being British to just being American, but he was portrayed as so goofy as well in this movie. As Steve Raglan, I understand him being an upbeat and lighthearted guy, but when we are shown him in the suit, he should have had more buildup, there should have been more suspension and hype to make him FEEL like more of a threat. Him controlling the other animatronics should have also been shown, I don't care if it was him disguising himself as a friend via sound illusion disc's or some stereotypical remote control or what. But leaving it vague for anyone to see there to theorize about (or forcing them to read the books to understand) just takes any tension out of it by making it feel like a rushed cop out. His whole little speech about him creating disobedient monsters just felt sad and weird and out of place. And his delivery of his iconic line felt shoehorned in to be able to point at it and say "look, look, ah ha he said the thing" and was really just pathetically given, rather than it being more of a menacing and knowing promise. Plus, when we only know of 6 kills under his belt and all of them were children who couldn't fight back and we didn't even see how creepy and cunningly he lured those kids in to their deaths, we really have no frame of reference for what he is capable of and why we should fear him. Like, sure maybe he wasn't actually aiming to kill his own daughter, but if he shoved a big knife through her gut and she didn't even die and he actually WAS trying to kill her, then that's pretty sad. Makes him come across like a failure of a killer and more of a joke than anything. He couldn't even kill Mike for crying out loud, and Mike didn't have a gun like Vanessa did.
(Also, I suppose this is a nitpick, but why was he able to kick Mike in the suit without the spring locks going off? That was a hard jarring movement, and the foot meeting Mike was applying resistance, don't you normally have to be careful how you move and breathe in those things so as not to set them off? How can you harshly kick someone AND get tazed without it tripping the spring locks?)
I don't know, the whole thing just felt like it was relying on fans to just be satisfied with seeing Easter eggs, cameos, and feeling what superior or something for already knowing everything? I mean, the whole movie was so predictable, every single plot point of it, even Vanessa being his daughter wasn't a surprise to me or my friends that just went and saw it with. I've seen people say they went in with a Bingo sheet, and that is not a good thing at all. The run time was poorly allocated to the wrong points, and such important things like building the world of the Freddy's restaurant chains and its characters kind of got the screwed over. I watched this thing twice and hesitate to ever watch it again because my opinion of it already started out not so good with the first watch and fell to bad with the 2nd. I might actually cry if I try to watch it again. I don't like knowing I've waited years for this and hoped and prayed for the best, only to see red flags popping up when the trailers were released and then going in with low expectations telling nyself to ignore the warning bells in my head and actually seeing it, it's just so disappointing.
I love this franchise dearly, it's done so much good for so many good people. It gave so many people jobs as YouTubers who are a joy to see spread positivity and light in the world. Heck, the games also got some people to look at Chuck E Cheese in a new light and give it a visit. It's brought so many people together and inspired the next generation of game designers and story tellers. Nothing will ever shake me from its clutch, even back when Fnaf 3 came out and I felt disappointed I didn't give up on it, and that was back when it was still new enough that it didn't have a strangle hold on me yet. So of course I'm not going anywhere even if the Ruin DLC and movie were kind of a flops. I will still be here ready to go to the theater to give the 2nd movie a try when it comes out, I just hope that Scott and the crew learn from this and make better choices for the next one. Because I really want this series to be treated with the love and respect that it deserves.
Regardless of any complaints though, thanks to my fellow fans for being so devoted to the series as well and getting it past the Mario movie in terms of views for streaming, (the Mario movie was bad in its own way, mostly with Peach's...everything, and the voices of all the characters and stuff) so I'm glad to see it surpassed that shamless cash grab of a movie at something. And I am happy that the movie wasn't just abandoned after being in development purgatory for so long.
This again, was in no way meant to deter fans from enjoying it if they found something in it for them, keep enjoying it. If all you wanted was a cheesy movie that wasn't taken seriously and was intentionally bad, then all the power to you. But it truly is not for everyone. Hard core fans, casual fans, it doesn't matter, it truly comes down to what you were looking for in a movie. And I love Scott Cawthon and his dedication to the fans, but this really wasn't it and I know he can do better, so I darn sure will be voicing any complaints I have with the film to push him to push the movie crew to do better.

My thoughts about the Five Nights at Freddy's Movie

Everybody out? Alright
Overall, it was good. It was really well made. They clearly put a lot of effort with this movie. The lighting, the composition of shots and of course the animatronics.
I'm kinda surprised we see the animatronics as much as we did. I guess it makes sense since it would be a waste not to show the puppets off. They made sure this movie looked nice which I appreciate.

The atmosphere was good. I do wish that they 'hid' the animatronics more. They are much more threatening when they are just in the dark lurking and stalking. There are some scenes in the movie like that, I just wish there were more of that.
The way they did the spirits are kinda confusing
The opening was awesome. It sets the atmosphere and threat really well. It was intense.
The middle it felt like it kinda dropped off. There are some scenes that felt kinda slow
Then by the end so much was happening that it was kinda overwhelming. The ending felt so fast. I wish they balanced the pacing a bit better

The actors did really well!
I do wish we seen more of William and Matthew Lillard but I get that they need the twist for the casual audiences. The Springlock scene was good overall. Matthew's action was AWESOME. Dude was acting batshit insane, I love it. I know everyone wished that it was more brutal but it's a PG-13 movie so yeah, I get it. I still think that fan made Springlock audio was perfect and better than the movie. Nothing can ever top that one.

They focused more on the story of Mike than Freddy's which I understand. They still need to share a compelling story to casual audiences. This movie is clearly not a representation of FNAF's lore. I think it's the viewer's job if they want to dive deeper into this franchise.
Even so, I think this is a movie made for the fans and you need to have knowledge of basic lore to fully understand the movie. So the people going in blind might be a tad bit confused

I'm kinda torn about Vanessa being an Afton. I'm sure the die hard fans WILL NOT like that. And yeah my feelings towards that are more on the negative side. It's a last minute reveal so that's kinda tacky since there's already so much going on by the end and now yeah I guess Vanessa is William's daughter now.
There's not really much clues driving us to that direction. I just thought that she was related to one of the Missing Children so she has this close connection with the place. I and many people theorized that she would be related to Susie aka the spirit of Chica. It's because of the blonde hair

So...guess this debunks the Michael Afton is Mike Schmidt Theory which..I'm kinda torn about. I thought Mike was gonna have repressed memories of his past as an Afton. I was also totally on board on the Divorce Theory and I thought that was gonna happen in this movie but I guess not. Scott still has the final say in the end.

Although I'll treat the canonicity of the movie as I treat the books. What happened in the movie does not equal to the canon that happened in the books and games. They are still separate. It has the same case as the original novel trilogy (Silver Eyes, Twisted Ones, Fourth Closet) where we see the same characters that we see in the games but the story they are telling is still separate.
I guess the events of this game parallel the original trilogy a bit. At least the kidnapping plot points. In there, William also kidnapped a kid which was Charlie's twin. Charlie has these thoughts that drive her towards finding her twin brother. Oversimplification but it's kinda similar.

Also the audio in the end said "Come Find Me". That's potentially William or maybe even the Puppet
Although I am wondering how they'll continue the lore since they totally broke it with Vanessa being an Afton. Maybe they'll make their own continuity just like the books.

Actually no. I swear I've seen that face before. After a bit of digging. I found it, Ella. Ella was an alarm clock doll that came from the book 'Fazbear Frights: 1:35 AM'. In the movie she's a Springlock animatronic so what could this mean?

Some theorists, specifically John from YT channel FuNaff, noticed that there was an ongoing circus theme in recent FNAF media. They theorized that Eclipse, Circus Baby, Ballora, and the mascots from the Mimic's room in the Ruin DLC all have a circus theme and these characters could be much older than we thought. Could Ella, the Animatronic be part of this roster?
John's gonna have a field day with that specific detail

Final Thoughts
So guess that's the end of this review. Overall I think the movie was good but for the older fans, it could be a bit underwhelming. It's not perfect but I still like that they did put a lot of effort to this movie and didn't make it look like an amateur made movie. I'm still very grateful for it.
And who knows, this movie can drive more people into the wonderful world of Five Nights at Freddy's and I'm all for that.

i joined the d4dj fandom recently and if you told me the whole lore i wouldn't complain
Okok!!!!! I think i will focus more on both the main stories for the 6 main units here since unichord, call or artemis and abyssmare are still somewhat recent so ok uhh. here we go. also i might mix both some anime + game things there but i think it's understandable ish
Happy around is somewhat easy. Rinku found maho one day, found her music cool, rinku was implied to somehow have perfect pitch and perfectly transitioned a song into the other one based on vibes only (i think she mentions it being based around the dance-ability of the song. she's so <3). after that the two get together and, after some time, they start needing art to promote their small lives which are gathering some traction, so they eventually find muni who's rinkus childhood friend!!! muni is. truly smth. it's implied/confirmed her mother is hospitalized and stuff like that and she has a really big complex with her art and herself, and after some convincing that "rinku didn't abandon her" (she didn't. also about that, it's mainly because rinkus parents had to travel to africa for work and she went along them) she joins them. rei joins them because they needed someone who could actually compose and she, as a pianist, had more practice with that than the other three. Happy around was formed through that and, in the unit story season 2, it focuses more on them arguing what will be of them, if they want to continue that and go pro which ends as an easy yes from all of them, with the unit continuing to do their stuff
Peaky P-key is truly smth. I haven't fully read the manga (yet) but what i can tell you is that 1- they know each other since childhood 2- they're somewhat "pros" ever since before the story itself. Shinobu is a really good dj and is amazing at it since she was a child (implied in a lot of cards + stories, such as the untrained halloween shuffle shinobu where we see her mixing alongside nagisa, her cousin) being the granddaughter of a famous dj and this somewhat caused her to distance herself from her family, since she saw herself as too worthy and the others saw her as too prideful. kyoko has been amazed at her abilities since a child and, with yuka and esoras help, eventually convinces her to let the three join and peaky is formed. their whole thing is that they want to get better and become the next "best unit" in-universe, surpassing their predecessor and stuff like that, somewhat both their unit story 1 and 2 focused on that. i personally think that, for them specifically, their character/shuffle/relations stories are a LOT more interesting than the unit story itself
photon maiden is also one of the "professional" units, and they in specific even have (did have) a producer. Their unit story 1 tells about their formation and reasons, how they meet, their troubles and how they eventually got close to each other. on the unit story 2 it focuses more on their development as a unit after their produce not only gives them more freedom of choice, but also low-key kind of drops them and lets them do their own thing, also having the goal of surpassing their producers old unit (which is the same as peakys lmao)

Yeah the tldr is that rika brought it up to them saori tried to say that was a horrible idea because none of them knew how to dj. surprise surprise saori was surprisingly good at it because she enjoyed "old" technology and alas they became a unit. Season 2 is just them touring through Japan. Girlbosses
Rondo.... It's a gay movie. Aoi and Hiiro are besties and work in a club (alter ego) but aoi feels like something is missing + the owner tells them that they should get a vocalist. one day while walking close to a church she hears someone singing and it's tsubaki. cue "i need your voice..." Tsubaki dying in embarrassment and gay panic. Nagisa legit just finds them one day in the streets and goes "oh hey lmao aren't you two the resident djs in alter ego" to which they reply yes and then nagisa asks if they can join them just like that because no one else could keep with her guitar skills. Hiiro feeds her and nagisa joins (unofficially) until they confirm it with alter egos owner, which then settled her as rondos official guitarist. Cue a LOT of "i need you..." From aoi to tsubaki who's still gay panic, she joins them for some time but panics her first time singing for the public and people get angry, "either you all find a vocalist or you're out" and aoi goes after her again. Tsubaki initially refuses again until aoi goes "oh ok. rondo is no more ^^" because she KNOWS tsubaki is the vocalist and voice she's been looking for. Tsubaki finally understands this and gay panics. They met in a church for 3/4 times through the story btw. Hiiro and Nagisa watched all of this shit. Aoi literally went after tsubaki in the university she studies at. I hate gay people. Unit season 2 focuses on the fact that nagisas guitar, calendula, is cursed and possessed. This makes sense trust me
Lyrical lily... Their school literally banned playing music other than singing on the choir (haha christian school). One day while cleaning the place, one of them finds an old machine and they get curious to see what it is and does. Miiko and kurumi lead them (the two + chairwoman haruna + miyu) to their secret hideout and they start hosting small parties there after some students hear the music that haruna was playing and went to see them. "MUSIC IS FORBIDDEN I SHOULDNT BE DOING THIS!!!!" haruna panic but also she's legit having fun and one person in her family liked music so she's really enjoying it. They keep at it + going out to buy new vinyls in used stores until they're found out since most students were going there. They all panic and try to take the blame from the other until miyu steps in and says it was all her fault because she's the one who got curious and wanted to check it. Miyu, basically the schools angel, shocks everyone and goes on a small ramble on how fun it was and how music was important because it united them all. Music is eventually un-banned and they get to play it <3 i don't really remember what goes on in season 2 but i think they're gay and are learning more about the outside world besides their catholic school slash rich families
General plot wise, there was this one dj celebration years ago called d4fes where a unit called call of artemis performed at and it impacted both happy around girls and peaky p-key. After years of it being cancelled and CoA disbanding, d4fes comes back and the 6 units audition in to go perform after troubles of their own (happy around almost not qualifying, aoi needing a vocalist etc) with peaky winning the first round... however, on the SECOND d4fes the call of artemis comeback is announced and hell breaks loose with pkpk winning and both them + pm realizing they still have a long way to go.
I think these are the basics for general plot + each unit? And then there's character specific stories, relations events, unit events, shuffles, the d4fes stories... D4 is really fun to read about honestly cknfkfjfkd,, i think we currently are about to enter the canonical third year of the timeline as soon as the unit stories 3 come out!!!

You know, I always feel limited in what I can say about Cookie Run, mostly just because I never feel like I know enough about the world and characters
Like, I’ve been in this fandom for about 7 months, now beating out the Layton fandom in how long I’ve been here, but even now I still feel like a beginner in what I know. And even if I think I know a character or bit of the world, enough to make some sort of post, I feel like there will be someone telling me that I’m wrong in interpreting the character. I don’t recall if that’s actually happened to me in recent time (other than the Golden Cheese Kingdom confusion I had), but I always feel like that will happen
I mean granted, I think part of it is that I just really don’t know. I’m fully aware that there are story cutscenes for both Ovenbreak and Kingdom that explain the lore of characters, and that I can just watch them in YouTube (or in Kingdom’s case, on the game itself), but for some reason, I just choose not to. Granted, I think part of it has to do with the way I usually consume stuff about things I play
Generally, if it’s something I don’t think I will ever play, I’ll just watch people talk about it or watch them play it so I can experience it to some degree. However if I do end up getting the game, I tend to stay away from things discussing it because I don’t want my experience to be ruined or something, despite me usually already knowing things about it. And still wanting to consume fan content about it on here. I’m not really sure how my flawed internal logic works
Anyways, I think in this instance, it might be a case of my brain wanting to experience things for itself, but we’ve gotten to the point where I’ve experienced almost all content that is currently available for me to experience, so that point should be moot, but my brain’s still operating on that “don’t spoil things” mentality, so I just won’t do it. This is kind of my first experience with a game with an ongoing story, as I usually play console games that already have a complete story once I get it, so I think that might be part of the reason wires aren’t connecting like they should
Though to be honest, that’s probably only half of it. The other half is that I just can’t be bothered to, despite me knowing it won’t take much effort. But that’s been a problem that’s been going on and increasing throughout this amount of time, unrelated to Cookie Run, so that’s a topic for another day
Though if I can give some sort of defense, there’s 200+ characters in these games. I can’t be expected to know everything. Even if I usually only talk about a handful, meaning this point is probably not as relevant as I think
But also probably a part of why I’m hesitant is that I see people talking about how other people just have bad takes on characters, and I’m afraid I’ll end up in that category. I can fully admit, I’m not very good at understanding nuance, I kind of just take things at face value, only rarely seeing deeper meaning and needing others to explain it to me, and I feel like an understanding of nuance is needed to understand some of these characters, which is something I lack
Also I have a problem of being a bit too sensitive and not wanting people to dislike me. And the fact I’m very indecisive and will change my opinions, usually if someone gives a different take that makes more sense to me. That’s usually why in my posts I put a lot of “probablies” and “I thinks” and “I dunno”, since I never want to be too confident in my ground. But again, personal issues
But yeah, I feel like in general, I’m never confident in posting concrete opinions on characters or some sort of take on a character in this franchise. And I mostly bring this up because I remember that I had some level of confidence in talking about the Layton games. But also there, I feel like the characters, story and world were much easier to get a grasp on, you just need to watch the cutscenes for the games and probably the movie. And the anime if you want to, but that’s at the current end of the timeline, way after the mainline games, so you don’t have to. Also, not nearly as many characters. All around it’s just easier to understand. Also frankly, the fandom was smaller and felt just generally more relaxed

What would you think if Chloe and Audrey heard rumours about the way they were going to be portrayed in Astruc’s new movie, so they went back to Paris in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the movie from being completed? Then an evilized villain (maybe a wishmaker-like villain or maybe even a villain that's unrelated to the butterfly miraculous) caused Chloe and Zoe to switch bodies somehow, and nobody fully understands what's going on, so Zoe (in Chloe's body) is taken by Audrey back to New York, despite Zoe desperately trying to explain things. But Chloe enters a fugue state (heavily due to trauma caused by the neglect of her parents) and genuinely thinks she's Zoe, and is even able to recall many of the things Zoe did due to being in Zoe's body. The class thinks “Zoe's” change in behavior is due to the psychological effects of method acting, since “Zoe” is playing Chloe in Astruc's new movie, but they gradually convince “Zoe” to let them help her relearn how to be “herself” again.
Zoe is not able to gain access to Chloe's memories while in Chloe's body, because unlike Chloe, Zoe knows she's in the wrong body. In New York, Zoe is trying to get back to Paris, but when she gets there, “Zoe” thinks she’s there to try to hurt Marinette. Eventually, after listening to “Chloe”, Marinette starts to suspect that “Chloe” might be telling the truth, so she decides that she must test “Chloe” and “Zoe”. She fakes being in danger to see how they react. “Zoe” reacts slightly faster than “Chloe”, so Marinette comes to the conclusion that “Chloe” is lying and that “Chloe” has an evil and manipulative plan. Marinette thinks that “Chloe” must have picked up a few tricks from Lila, because she thinks no version of Chloe could possibly react faster than Zoe when it comes to protecting her. So Audrey takes “Zoe” back to New York again to “correct” her after “Zoe” fails to convince anyone of the truth.
10 years later, “Zoe” gets seriously injured after fighting a villain when Ladybug isn’t around, which causes “Zoe” to not have long to live. Then Ladybug accidentally stumbles upon the truth about “Zoe” while trying to help “Zoe” using magical powers. Ladybug decides that the moral thing to do is to switch Chloe and Zoe back to their original bodies. Once Zoe gets her body back, she blames Chloe for her impending death and for leaving her with 10 years of loneliness, while Chloe got off scot-free. When Lila gets defeated, Zoe steals the Butterfly Miraculous to get her hands on Ladybug and Catnoir’s miraculouses, hoping to “make things right”. Zoe gets defeated by the heroes (including Chloe, who has gotten her memories back) and Ladybug manages to cure Zoe’s injuries.
Look bud, sis, or secret third option. I'm old enough to be nearly out of this show's tertiary demographic. My obsession with the show is one borne from growing up with Toonami in my teens and tokusatsu in my 20's. I'm here because Miraculous understands what made those work and created a world of big, silly action that's enveloped by powerful and important messaging, all performed by enjoyable characters that you would want to be friends with.
All that's to say I'm here for fun, not for drama.
To me, the original Sailor Moon fell down when it had to advance the story or build up lore. Miraculous, being a love letter to Sailor Moon, falls down in the same places. There's a place for big, messy operatic drama, but usually not in the middle of a breezy action show. I get there has to be stakes because of what kind of show this is and who it's for, but making the story even more complicated and more violent to its characters doesn't make it better.
Chloe's current arc is disappointing but understandable. Zoe's arc also makes sense when you realize 1) her heritage as a Bourgeois means she knows how to "play the game" with the bourgeois and 2) her first interaction with and reaction to Marinette was not only cribbed from Sailor Moon Crystal but from the dang Shanghai movie. They don't need to be muddled and dramatized in order to raise any perceived stakes.
I am not here to yuck your yum--I know there likely would have been times younger me would've wanted to soap things up--but even trying to skim what you were speculating about was giving me a bad time. Hard pass, keep it simple, just let the good guys win without qualification.

Oppenheimer is a sumptuous drama from one of our finest directors working at the top of his game—but there's only so much information you can pack into a three-hour movie. The movie entertains and makes you feel dumb in almost equal measure, making it hard to escape the basic takeaway that we probably should know a lot more: About this guy, the Cold War, the birth of the Atomic Age, and quantum physics in general. And while you can (and should) head straight to Wikipedia, the real lore is in books and documentaries, and here are 11 to get you started. 
At the risk of being painfully obvious, the book on which the movie was based seems a logical place to start. Written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, it was published in 2005 and went on to win the Pulitzer Prize. Nolan reportedly began adapting it after Robert Pattinson gave him a collection of Oppenheimer’s speeches as a parting gift when the two finished Tenet. Also in the documentary department, there’s PBS’s 2009 re-enactment-style documentary about Oppenheimer and the subsequent battles over his communist affiliations, produced as part of the "American Experience" series, starring David Straithairn as Oppenheimer. Directed by David Grubin, it’s about as straightforward a telling of some of the background information covered in the film as you’ll find. (It’s also available on Apple TV.)

If Oppenheimer advances (somewhat) the traditional narrative that the A-Bomb was the revolutionary weapon that ended the war, Princeton historian Michael D. Gordin presented a counter-interpretation in his 2007 book that “the military did not clearly understand the atomic bomb’s revolutionary strategic potential, that the Allies were almost as stunned by the surrender as the Japanese were by the attack, and that not only had experts planned and fully anticipated the need for a third bomb, they were skeptical about whether the atomic bomb would work at all.” 
If the race to beat the Germans to developing the atomic bomb is the obvious cinematic center of Oppenheimer, Nolan devotes a surprising portion of the film and especially the last hour to the 1953 hearings over Oppenheimer’s security clearance, which was denied over his alleged communist ties (and, according to the film, all spearheaded by Oppenheimer’s nemesis, Atomic Energy Commissioner Lewis Strauss, played by Robert Downey Jr.). In this volume, Cornell historian Richard Polenberg drew on annotated transcripts of the hearing and Oppenheimer's subsequent appeal, as well as declassified FBI files, to create a portrait of the Cold War atmosphere of the time and what the hearing's outcome meant for Oppenheimer and for the world. 
If Oppenheimer presents a fairly sympathetic portrait of Robert Oppenheimer in his relationships to his left-wing friends, this pair of articles from Esquire and the New York Review of Books are… less sympathetic. The former also offers detailed interpretations of Oppenheimer’s conflict with Strauss. 
Oppenheimer opens with its subject trying to understand, and then teach, the truly strange and seemingly paradoxical science of quantum physics. Certainly there are more scholarly works on the subject, but probably there exists no goofier introduction to subatomics than AC Weisbecker’s 1986 cult semi-autobiographical novel about a pot smuggler who becomes obsessed with quantum physics and his dog. The easiest way to learn something is by accident, and it doesn’t get more accidental than this footnote-heavy farce.

Oppenheimer is a sumptuous drama from one of our finest directors working at the top of his game—but there's only so much information you can pack into a three-hour movie. The movie entertains and makes you feel dumb in almost equal measure, making it hard to escape the basic takeaway that we probably should know a lot more: About this guy, the Cold War, the birth of the Atomic Age, and quantum physics in general. And while you can (and should) head straight to Wikipedia, the real lore is in books and documentaries, and here are 11 to get you started. 
At the risk of being painfully obvious, the book on which the movie was based seems a logical place to start. Written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, it was published in 2005 and went on to win the Pulitzer Prize. Nolan reportedly began adapting it after Robert Pattinson gave him a collection of Oppenheimer’s speeches as a parting gift when the two finished Tenet. (It would’ve been called “Oppie” if not for a last-minute veto from an editor.)

Why we love Five Nights at Freddy’s a tribute to an unexpected fandom

 Ok stay with me here guys I swear it will be ok. No convoluted lore timeline analysis here… Though I can’t promise that one day I won’t throw my hat in the ring and complete my insanity completionist speed run. But until that point inevitably comes, I wanted to take a step back from all the games, comics, and hot topic merch to ask that all important question. Y?

           No seriously how is this franchise so popular? It’s not just with the older audience either but with its apparent core demographic of kids. Which to be fully honest with its release being almost 10 years ago now all us technically started this journey as little ones, so I guess that’s not as surprising. Hm somewhere between Fazbear and today we all grew up… But I digress.
           Let me answer this question by asking another, Why is Harry Potter so popular? Some of you may say “oh it’s the world building or the characters or this that and the other thing lengardium LEveOsA!” No that’s not good enough, 10 vbucks away from Snuffleclaw house!

These are not unique to Harry Potter, these are qualities that almost any franchise needs to become popular. But what was key to harry potters success?
It’s not a fantasy novel, it’s a mystery novel.

Seriously it may not seem like it but almost everyone likes mystery stories. Look at Sherlock the brilliant Brit is one of the most famous characters in all of western media even though most people haven’t even read the originals. Crime tv is the only thing keeping cable tv alive, and the funny kiwi man tells me this mystery box is all he needs to make a good star wars movie! Ok maybe not all of those are the best example but that’s where the magic (heh) comes in. JK “rolling on the floor” hid the mystery series under a fantasy story about wizards, dragons, and all that actual fun stuff. But what made us stay there and not head over to re watch Lord of the rings for the 20th time to tell our friends that Viggo broke his toe, was that human trait so deadly to cats; curiosity.
           We just love what we can’t understand. We need to know it and that’s what keeps drawing us back, not only to the escapades of the least dangerous school in England. But with the recent happenings at old Freddy Foozler’s Italian Cuisine. You know a mystery is good when not even the sharpest minds of Reddit can figure it out… Ok, another bad example, but still this shit is cray just look at these timelines.

 I can’t even tell how many kids are dead anymore! Just like Nancy Drew gets the kids’ reading, so does Harry potter, but more importantly Freddy FazeClanBear get those nerds out of them books and into gaming like God intended.
           Oh, and an aside to this is the pure fact that kids, despite all signs saying no, the little munchkins love to be scared. You know how it felt right? When you watched that episode of goosebumps with the pig head kid with all the lights off? You felt a little braver when it was all over. And it’s the same reason why we all loved to play those violent games or raunchy episodes of family guy when we were kids. When a youngin sees the ratings anything over their given age that’s a challenge. Adult stuff has been and always will be seen as cool and edgy; and gosh dang it if there’s one truth in this world besides the indisputable fact that blue is a flavor and can be only distilled in the 7 eleven slushie machine. It’s that kids want to be cool, and the Possessed Chuck e Cheese Copyright Infringement Brigade got the keys to that all so coveted cool kids club.
           Another aspect that’s gonna get a bit strange is the idea of Character…
Now logically you will ask “how can a bunch of possessed animatronics with a vocal range of distorted child scream to guttural groan from the depths of hell, have any actual character?” Well, My good friend take a trip with me to the forbidden forest of the human subconscious: The internet!!!

Well mainly one aspect I’ve noticed through my many hours spent trudging the coded catacombs in search of the dankest and rankest of memes. That is, when faced with fear we usually try to make it funny. The following are in cannon possessed by a dead kids.

This comedic-fication of Freddy and the Gang came form two sources. First of course was wanting a sense of relief. You can’t be afraid of something when it’s got a mouth full of blunts dancing to snoop doggy dog’s Cremate Cannabis Customarily. And also it was just a natural consequence of the game itself for example. You in the back what is the equation for comedy?
(Pause for your stuttering response)
         That’s right!
          Misery + Time= Funny
          Exactly! Good job gold star for you champ see me after class and maybe you’ll get a little treat~ Wait sorry wrong script hold on (shuffles papers).
          Ahem here we are... These games while also being scary were at times insanely difficult to the point where even the man behind the game itself was unsure if its higher difficulties could even be completed. But from the misery of fear and rage, came the memes of dank and WANK… No no stop no nsfw here! Gosh these scripts are all over the place hold on.
           Ahemx2. Now these comedic bits also happened to mix with some of the core gameplay behaviors of the animatronic animals which lead to some odd things starting to rise to the surface. A Character.
           Take Foxy for example. An aggressive gameplay loop, mixed with his implied solitary nature in Pirates Cove made him generally a grumpy kind of guy who hates the night guard. Maybe he’s even more aware of the situation than the others. Then the big Faz himself with a more strategic code and being the main cheese himself, maybe he’s like the begrudging ring leader of the group and just too tired for this shit. And Bota Bing Bota boom in the primordial soup of Tumblr and deviantart… and hint of furry. You have characters! and characters need stories, and drama, dynamics, backstories, and ships! Oh the ships, the ships like FEDEX!!! And since these primordial soup characters are 50% meme by volume, there is no cannon! But then also, everything is cannon!
        So just like that weird doujin writer taking a bunch of legendary characters and making some weird dating sim and taking up whatever lore he wanted because that’s what everyone did before him (ie Fate Stay Night). So too did Xxgoldenshadowfreddy1987xX using MS paint make his series of comics detailing the break room shenanigans of Freddy and Co. And also inspired the likes of Thisaccountismine23 to write the most poetic story about the end of life, the eternal essence of the soul, and how it can be seen in the eyes of a child. Which just so happened to be set in the Fnaf 2 location with Mike Schmidt and his oddly attractive robot furry friends.
           You see what I’m getting at here? This is why it’s so damn popular. It’s this weird combination of memes, murder, and mystery; it creates a beautiful canvas that’s both as blank and as filled as any creative person wants it to be. And its self-feeding loop too. Fanon affects how one sees the cannon, and with a canon in constant flux and a fanon that shouldn’t even exist, you got yourself a recipe for a once in a lifetime Super Fandom.
           And to wrap this up in a nice little bow you could show your therapist this Friday, I wanted to take a moment and say a few words. 434 to be exact. If there’s one thing I learned growing up and working with kids allot, especially as I got older myself, is that there’s nothing worse than seeing yourself become that adult whose not just out of touch but who mocks a kids hobbies and interests and makes them feel bad for what they’re into. I knew what that was like and I’m sure anyone watching young or old knows what that’s like too. It hurts and it can make that thing that you liked, that gave you a bit of joy or comfort, have a sour taste in your mouth. And that can hurt all the worse. So when I caught myself being like that to these little ones, I didn’t like it. So I swore to be better than that. Now I joke about ‘fuck them kids all the time’. But it’s only a joke pure and simple. I don’t call any of these things cringe anymore even if it doesn’t jive with me, even if I feel cringed by it, I try not to be that way anymore. I don’t like shitting on what could be a kids first forefronts into art, music, or writing. I sure as hell don’t want them looking back on their old work and feel ashamed. If they moved on or not it doesn’t matter, they should be proud of their work, any work, if they gave their all. Hell, you can take a good look at my YouTube channel (@lazyboywiseguy) (#shamelessplug). I know damned well some of that stuff could be called cringe today but I’ll tell you what. Some those vids did some numbers and that means that someone somewhere enjoyed them. To that someone and to me they are not cringe. I like those things and the things I made with them. I like FNAF and the weird ass community it made for itself. And I just want to say to you at home, don’t worry about cringe or based, just be, for that is based-est thing of all. And kids don’t let some old bat say the stuff your into is wack yo. And to any older readers don’t be ashamed of anything that gives you joy. In reality that’s a lesson for young and old. Life’s too short for that, be happy and be good, that’s all you need.
           Sorry to end this on a less than memey note but I think that’s enough out of me. This FNAF lore script won’t put me in the insane asylum itself. So back to my mad ramblings I go, until next time. Smell ya latter.

You know, I went through the injustice 2 again and I was confused by Bruce's reaction to that moment at the beginning of the game, when he and Dami ejected and Dami hit the roof. He is a trained assain, but limped after the fall! Looks like he was in pain and Bats just said he needed to improve his skills! So I want to ask you: Did Bruce even love his son in inj? Did he take care of him until Dick died?
okay slapping this under a readmore since it's rather long and deals with abuse and manipulation.
also just. gonna say it while i'm here and i'm still mad abot it - the movie did not understand any of the characters or the story, and made a mess of the entire series plot.
So, this is just my interpretation! I'm not an expert in IJ Bruce and all his nuances, but I think he does love Damian - in his own very conditional, emotionally stunted way. He just only likes Damian when Damian is listening to him, and Bruce only affords his concern to the people he likes.
Their relationship seems very stiff and formal even at the best of times, while Damian is much more relaxed and himself around other people. Which is to say - Batman is mentoring Robin, Alfred (and most likely Dick) are the one raising Damian. Bruce only has his read on Damian as the heir to the league of assassins, he almost entirely neglects to consder who Damian is his own person.
I think that comes through really strongly in the comics, especially in the flashback to Bruce's "Test". Where Bruce presents a task to Damian - get home from the edge of Gotham, and insinuates that there is a time limit he needs to meet or else he fails - to test whether or not Damian's compassion will win out over his desire to win. And it does! And Alfred is kind of pissed that Bruce did this, because the intended test was to see how Damian handled protecting the city without Bruce there. There wasn't supposed to be an additional psychological component on top of it.
Injustice's Bruce is a man who deals in absolutes. He doesn't really get that people are complicated - they're either victims or villains, and there's not a lot of room for anything in-between. He is constantly testing Damian, poking and prodding him to see what it takes to make him break - because he's already decided Damian will break. We see this in his conversation with Clark in Year 0! Where Clark is the one who steps in to say Damian is a good kid while Bruce is like "nah that one's probably a lost cause".
Damian basically lives in that liminal space between Bruce's definition of good and evil, and Bruce can never get a proper read on him because he's filtering his son through his own perceptions and traumas. And a lot that strips away the fact that Damian is a child - there are multiple instances across Batfam media where Bruce actually denies that he is one, and someone has to jump in and say no he just wasn't allowed to have a childhood. And like most things, this is upped to the nth degree in Injustice.
He views him as a weapon that needs to be reconfigured, not a child who needs love and attention. He's frequently dismissive of Damian's needs - physical, mental, and emotional - unless he's using them as a reign to regain control of him. In many ways Bruce only sees the blood on the hands Damian reaches out to him with, and the fact that Damian is constantly questioning him really gets under his skin.
He doesn't take the time to explain anything to Damian. Ever. He only wants blind obedience from him and is getting frustrated he's not getting it. So he reverts to the way he deals with literally every problem he has - he beats the hell out of it.
It's only when Damian's down that he fully recognizes that he's gone too far and that he just kicked the shit out of his son, who is not an invincible weapon he needs to brute force into obedience, and is very clearly hurt. Who, granted, had just killed a man (again this scene is NOT CANON COMPLIANT and makes NO SENSE with lore established in the game itself and actively contradicts the comic lore) but is still a child (who should be 13, with the character model of a 23 year old man because what the FUCK injustice 2).
He starts to apologize, but Damian lashes out at him, and Bruce shuts down and stops trying. Rinse repeat. That's their relationship. Damian will argue against Bruce, Bruce will literally beat him into submission, Bruce will then offer Damian his love and support if Damian will just listen to him, and Damian will refuse to submit and make Bruce angrier.
They do love each other. It's just in the way a child loves a parent who they can never please & a parent loves a child they think is fucked up beyond repair. There's always the hope that they can reach each other but its ruined by the fact that Bruce refuses to have a conversation with his child.

In Honor of Deltarune Chapter 2, Lemme tell you about exactly HOW world-breaking Chara really was, and IS.
Here's the thing about Chara. It is implied that they are THE PLAYER's insatiable thirst for new video game worlds (or, they have latched onto it). As in, they accompany the player to the next world they go to.
Direct quote:
"HP. ATK. DEF. GOLD. EXP. LV. Every time a number increases, that feeling . . . That's me. Chara. Now, we have reached the absolute. There is nothing left for us here. Let us erase this pointless world, and move on to the next." i.e.: Let US move on to the next.
Every time THE PLAYER conquers and sets aside a new game . . . they have effectively DESTROYED it. Because they do not "exist" unless they are played and interacted with. Also, they only exist up until the end of the game anyway (most of the time)
And- I say usually- no matter how many times THE PLAYER plays a game- they will eventually tire of it. Also, if they play 500 games in their lifetime . . . it is unlikely they will re-play that many consistently. Plus, add on random internet "mini" games.
Now, that's only considering ONE player.
But since Chara is a multi-dimensional being, because they are aware of other worlds . . . it's not much of a stretch to say that the millions of people who are carrying around Chara "with" them count . . . as Chara.
Bill Cipher, from Gravity Falls, to my knowledge, despite his reality-warping godly demon powers, makes no such 4th wall shattering and domineering claim.
Let's assume for sanity's sake, that this current dimension you're sitting in and reading this screen on is the primary reality. There ARE no dimensions higher than this. All others are contained within human imagination. Bill Cipher was Created by a Creator.
All the 'lower' dimensions we can muck around in as basically gods. (gods or demigods either incarnate as weaklings, or come about some other way, in many mythologies, but then grow steadily stronger to realize their godhood. Ya know, Hercules. Krishna. In Hinduism. That sort of thing.) We can travel between dimensions on a whim by flipping a switch. With enough Determination, we can ALWAYS reach the end. Now, sometimes collaboration does expand these universes a little bit- through comics and fanfiction. But even these created 'higher spheres' nearer to this primary dimension, author 'omniscience' is taken as a given. Actually there is some debate about that, given the real-world phenomenon of novel writers in some cases having no clue where characters are taking them . . . they just sit down to write with a kernel of an idea. That's how I operate, for instance. In that case, they somehow have had their 'future sight' that should be default as a god, blocked. People who outline plots and know where they're going with a story beforehand, and then create characters to fill in the gaps, they're the type of 'gods' that could tell their characters future events, if they wanted to. Anyway. Back to video games specifically, and their fandoms. There is only so much CONTENT and it can always be recorded and shared. So there is still a limting factor.  Here's the weird thing about Undertale. You are there as a 'god.' Just as usual. That's nothing special. You're just there to muck around. But. The whole toe-curling horror aspect UT was demonstrating, for specific characters NPCs who realize this sobering fact . . . such as Asgore and Sans, they are driven to despair, mental instability, and in two cases, suicide, by the fact.
If Homestuck is considered a "game" that is destroyed once you reach the end? It is rolled into all of this as well.  Homestuck is a game. What evidence to I have of this, since it's a 'written story'? It has many playable elements and 90% of its lore and plot is based on deconstructing game conventions and sticking them back together in weird angled positions with crazy glue.  Therefore. If the player reads Homestuck after playing Undertale, (i.e., someone who is newer to internet culture, and entered it after Undertale came out, which was far after Homestuck) Chara has CANONICALLY destroyed the Homestuck Universe.  (or, if you re-read Homestuck after playing Undertale)
YOU. The PLAYER make or break all fictional characters. They live and die by your interest in them, or, for games, your direction, and no other character has explicitly taken YOUR control over the game, as Chara has. In Homestuck, it never gives you something to "do" and then takes the decision away from you, as Undertale does.
Chara, except for someone who has 100% control of that little dopamine rush that comes with leveling up (read: no one), is out there, gleefully wringing out, growing bored of, and then destroying hundreds of thousands of worlds. Chara is the first of zeir kind.  And possibly the last.  Or at least, anything that comes afterwards will be but a pale imitation.  Toby Fox is truly LEGENDARY, in this way.  I'm not sure even he fully understand what he's done here.  Let me try to explain this.  Our education system is currenlty ripping itself to pieces over back-breaking student loans and the realization that we don't actually need all these professors because of the easy availability of information on the internet (Demonstrated, in a roundabout way, in one or two deft lines of dialog in the movie A Beauriful Mind). Now, let's say colleges and universities do survive this shift in society, going foward. It's probable that at the very least technical colleges and vocational schools will. Any others, including high schools, will be replaced by students shrugging and just taking a G.E.D. certification, because why should they spend time at a high school if they hate it, or if they want to learn at their own individualized pace? No reason to do that at all. If the stuffy old guard of the outdated higher education system ever starts treating stories told by video games as literature, as they ABSOLUTELY SHOULD, because they're merely a different medium, not some weird separate thing . . . Toby Fox, having overturned the "trope" of the RPG "genre", wrecking and dismantling it so thouroughly that it has unsettled millions of people who ever again play an RPG where they slaughter any monsters for 'points.'  He should be immortalized. Just like any other author in history who has churned out a landmark piece of literature.  It's merely his fair due.  Perfectly logical, right?  He is the Ubermench game-changer. Literally.  I hope Sans appreciates the pun. Chara is the vehicle through which this overturning of the trope happens. Chara stares directly at the player, deconstructs a longstanding staple in the 'literary genre,' and gives a body and voice to the psychologically addictive quality of video games.
One estimate says there are more than 60,000 video games in existence. And millions of copies of each one.
Chara, as we've established canonically, has access to ALL that are played after a runthrough of Undertale. (or at the very least, genocide Undertale) In Hinduism, it is Shiva that is the god of destruction.  To quote Oppenheimer,  Chara has become Death, Destroyer of Worlds.  Checkmate.
