Everything is so hard. I feel suffocated within myself. My life is nothing but a big mess. I wonder how long I will be able to go on...

I'm sorry. I know words of comfort could never be enough. But I hope you know you're not alone. There are many people who feel just like you, anxious, hurting, discouraged. Someone once told me "even the darkness we see is so beautiful." Going through my own difficulties, the darkness was nothing to me but choking loneliness and pain. Sometimes when you're gasping for air, you just have to keep running. Even if this pattern of hardship repeats itself forever, I'll keep running. Will you do it, too? Darkness will always be darkness, but here is where the stars you hope for appear. Do not give up. When you are lonely and hurting, look at the moon. I will be watching it, too.

My friend said my poetry was too much like a story how would I fix that?

Hello!!! First of all, I want to ask your opinions about your poetry. How do you feel when you read what you have written? And also, a story in form of poetry is known as a Ballad. That can be your writing style as well. There is nothing to fix but I would suggest you use concrete and easy words for your poem. Easy and understanding poems are the best honestly. Also, try to keep your sentences intact but with great meanings. That's something that helps a lot!

A bunch of random words are just words. They don't hold any meaning nor we can relate to them in any way. But poetry is our feelings and emotions. We feel things after reading them and they always help us in some way or other. Words are the roots of the poets but poetry is our escape from this reality. Its quite natural to have doubts regarding your work but that's because you are the writer yourself. Ask your readers and they will tell you the real essence of your work. Somehow, we always end up comforting people : )
