Silly fan girl drawing of my favorite comic book villain.  I’m gonna make it into a real finished piece. I like her cause’ she’s a completely unhinged environmental radical who is also possessed by plants.  How fun!

Once upon a time, in the middle of winter, when the snowflakes were falling like feathers from the sky, a queen sat sewing at her window, and the window frame was made of ebony wood. And as she was sewing, and looking down at the snow, she pricked her finger, and three drops of blood fell into the snow. And the queen thought the red looked so pretty against the white that she wished to have a child who was as red as blood, as white as snow, and as black as ebony wood.  Soon after, the queen gave birth to a child who was as red as blood, white as snow, and as black as ebony wood, and she named the child Snow White.  And when the child was born, the queen died...
I’m truly obsessed with this fairy tale.  I search to find the means to do it justice.

Helped set up the Conversation Booth at the Rochester Public Market yesterday in conjunction with the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence.  Yes, this place exists in real life. Yes, this place is as awesome as the namesake suggests.  Please check them out: www.gandhiinstitute.org, and better yet, come visit, you will be warmly welcomed.  Just another reason why Rochester, NY is one of the most fabulous places to be in.

Pretty disgusted with the Tampa Tribune right now
Yesterday, a Black trans woman was found murdered, and the article in the Trib had the headline “MAN DRESSED AS A WOMAN FOUND DEAD.”
The article made several mentions of the fact that the person found was in fact a dude in a dress, one who had a prior arrest for pot possession.
Black trans women face more violence and are murdered more often than any other group in the US.
Her name was India Clarke.  She was a woman. Her life matters.
I’m honestly pretty speechless.

Developmental phases of of our “Earth Mama” puppet for the Rochester, NY pride parade.  It’s already great to be human, being queer is the sweet, sweet icing on a brilliant cake. Last photo property of Rocco Hagen. Don’t go usin’ it all willy-nilly.

I’ve had a weird obsession with mermaids since birth.  This is my ode to them.
