Synopsis: Shibuya brings even a strong and collected woman like Shoko down to her knees. Especially when you, the only person who seems to truly care about her, ask her about her well-being when your boyfriend just got sealed....

„I thought you quit smoking some time ago.”

“What the hell is your lazy ass doing here? Aren’t you supposed to die on the battlefield like everyone else?”

“Huh, seems like I didn’t get that message.”

Your sly grin paired with the sheer amount of crimson that covers your frame makes Shoko’s blood freeze in her veins in an instant.

“Why didn’t you come earlier, idiot? Can’t you see that you’re about to die?”

“I’m not dying when you are around, babe.”

You lean against the mirror of the abandoned public toilet you and Shoko are in, watching in silence as she puts out her cigarette in the marble of the expensive looking sink behind you.

What a hell of a day. No, what a hell of a life. You came here with no real plan, just following after Satoru to get him going. Well, you definitely didn’t expect your boyfriend to get sealed in front of your very own eyes. Just like you didn’t expect to find the corpses of Kento Nanami and your student Nobara Kugisaki, laying in pieces on the cold ground of this cursed train station. Fuck, not even you were enough to protect them, not even the infamous girlfriend of Satoru Gojo was enough to stop this fucking madness.

“You look like shit”, Shoko comments dryly, her eyes fixed on the multiple wounds that special grade curse inflicted on you in his beach sphere.

“Just like you. When was the last time you’ve slept, Ieiri?”

It should scare her, the fact that she can’t put a finger on a single night this month. Since Geto and Haibara left, she always remained in the shadows of the friendship that used to exist when times seemed to be easier. Not even you were able to fix that. You, who came like a ray of sunshine in her life. You, the girlfriend of Satoru since being in your first year. You, the only person who seems to really care about her. No, not even the fact that you survived this hell is enough to get over the fact how many people died that night.

“I don’t know”, Shoko finally mumbles.

Why the hell do her eyes start to water, slowly but surely taking her sight? She’s been through some shit since being a jujutsu sorcerer, never belonging anywhere due to the fact that her reversed technique is too important to get risked. People come and go, countless lives ended on the table of her office, even the one of her lover. But this night…

Nanami and Nobara’s deaths, Megumi and Ino almost losing their lives, all the others she hasn’t heard a single word from since they left a few hours ago, her oldest friend sealed until who knows when.

And then there’s you, sitting in front of her severely injured, barely able to make it to her. You are here.

And it seems like you are everything that’s left.

“Hey, don’t you dare to cry. Or I…”

The big lump forming in your throat stops you from speaking any further. God, how much you hate the concept of crying, how useless shedding some tears is. But at this moment, with the dark circles underneath your best friend’s eyes in front of your sight, with the singing fact that you might not be able to ever see your boyfriend again, you begin to crumble.

“Fuck, you can’t believe how glad I am you’re here, Shoko.”

There you sit, staring into each other’s glossy eyes while your hand grabs hers roughly.

“How are you feeling?”, you breathe out.

“I feel like shit, (y/n). I feel like all I do is sitting in the dark while everyone around me dies. I feel so fucking lonely and useless”, she blurts out, her head sinking into your lap with her hands holding onto your uniform for dear life.

The girl who always looked so cool, the girl with enough sass for whole Jujutsu High. Even though you were constantly able to tell because of the numbness in her orbs, you never thought that she feels this bad. Your best friend, the person you spent most of the time with aside from Satoru.

Satoru, Shoko…You feel like dying from the inside, tears now running down your very own cheeks like a waterfall.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t able to save them. Not Kento, not Nobara, not Suguru. Fuck, I wasn’t even able to protect my own boyfriend…I-I…I wasn’t even able to say goodbye”, you cry out.

“B-but…I have you, right? After all, you’re my bestie for life…”

Her bloody eyes dart towards you, a weak smile forming itself on her lips.

“Don’t you dare to cry about that white-haired idiot. Do you really think he lets himself get sealed and just stays in there? He’s just as annoying as you are, (y/n).”

You huff while shaking your head, a little giggle escaping your lips.

“And yes, you have me. I’ll always have your back.”

“And I’ve got yours”, you reply in an instant.

“You’ll never be alone, Shoko. I’d rather crawl back to you like the biggest idiot than leaving you alone in this hell. It’s somehow better with two, isn’t it?”

Shoko lifts herself off your lap, wiping her tears away in the most unlady-like manner you’ve ever seen. All these years, she always felt alone in a room full of people, always out of place even though being told over and over just how important she is. But you…you see so much more in her than just a useful tool. No, you look at her as a friend, you look at her with true curiosity in your eyes, like you care about her well-being.

You’re standing by her side no matter what.

“I hate to admit it, but somehow you right I guess.”

Angel dust was chilling on the couch of your apartment. You and him had planned to hang out after you came home from work. He’s listening to music with one earbud in, bopping his head up and down to the tunes, his leg kicked over the couch.

He hears the lock turning and smiles, leaning over the couch as you walk in.

“Heyyyyy! Your finally home! How was…” He begins to say, happy to see you, yet he trails off short as soon as he sees the bruise and the dejected look on your face.

“Oh my god are you okay!?” He asks, immediately getting off the couch to go to you, fat nuggets trailing behind him.

You goes up to you, and you flinch a bit as he takes a hand and moves your hair to see the large bruise over your eye, concern written all over your face. Fat nuggets oinking below you, rubbing against your legs. “Yeah uhm… I’m.. fine..” You say quietly.

He frowns, obviously seeing your not, and he drags you over to the couch, sitting you down. “Okay what the fuck happened?!” He demands, as you sit there quietly, your hands in your lap.

“Vox just got a bit mad today that’s all, it’s nothing I haven’t handled before” You say, not wanting to worry him. Yet Angels face scrunches up in worry.

“Excuse me!? What do you mean; “nothing you haven’t handled before” is he hitting you?” He asks, sitting next to you.

“Just… s..sometimes… b-but only when he’s really pissed!” You say, trying to save yourself at the end, but it obviously not working.

Angel just stares at you silently for a second, before grabbing your hand. “……how long…..? How long has he been doing this to you..” He asks quietly.

You hesitate, “Since I started…” you murmer.

Angel looks at you sadly, glancing down. And he notices your arm. Before you can say anything he pulls up your sleeve to see dark bruises on your wrists, and his face twists in anger.

“I’m gonna fucking kill that stuck up asshole.” He says, standing up, beginning to walk. You stand up after him, grabbing his wrist. “Angel don’t! He’s is much much more powerful than us, and I don’t want him to hurt you!” You beg.

He turns around, and places his hands on your shoulders. “I will not let anyone, not even a stuck up prick like Vox, hurt my best friend.” He says, hugging you.

You try to speak, tears welling up in your eyes, and tears begin to fall down your cheeks as you bury your face into his shoulder. “P-lease don’t… I- can’t see you get hurt..” you sob.

He rubs your back soothingly, before he says. “You helped me before. Now it’s my turn.”

Aleksander has always been apprehensive about showcasing his power in front of your children - afraid of frightening them with the darkness that he can summon with the barest hint of a thought.

But Sonya, your eldest, had been delighted by his shadows. As soon as she could speak, she was babbling little stories for the shapes her father created over the wall of the nursery.

The twins follow you everywhere, protecting their mama like Uncle Ivan and Fedoyr protect their papa. Two little adventurers, always seeking mischief and urging Aleksander to join in on their games. After all, having a real shadow maze to trek through is far more exciting than a make-believe one.

Lidiya is always in Aleksander’s lap. It’s her favourite place to be, since it’s the prime position to play with his hands. Ever since she was a little baby, she would cling to his finger with both of her tiny little hands as if she knew, before any of you did, that her own hands held the same power.

Now, with your children growing up faster than you can believe, seeing Aleksander help your daughter with her summoning brings a soft smile to your lips as you watch them.

“Clasp them together, Lidochka,” he instructs her gently. “Like this.”

Her dark brows furrow together in concentration, her tongue poking out from the corner of her mouth as she copies her father. He nods encouragingly at her.

“Now call your shadows.”

Wisps of darkness slither through the air towards her hands and Aleksander’s eyes are alight with pride.

“Well done, solnyshko.”

The summer sun isn’t too hot yet, since it’s still early in the morning, so your little family has taken advantage of the lull in heat and settled yourselves on the grounds of the Little Palace.

Sonya is sitting beside you, her face buried in a book that had been a birthday gift from you and Aleksander. Her eyes are distant as they skim quickly over the words on the pages, her attention fully immersed in the story.

The twins are playing over the grass, their red keftas discarded onto the floor as they chase after one another. Peering up at the position of the sun, you realise it won’t be long before the Crown Prince - little Kolya - will be arriving to join in on their fun.

King Nikolai and Queen Zoya have done a considerable amount of good for Ravka, with plenty of help from you and Aleksander, and their son has a firm friendship with the twins. He also enjoys asking Sonya questions which you know she secretly enjoys answering. Given that the Prince is only a year younger than her, the two of them appear to get along well despite their drastic differences in personality.

Days like this are among your favourites, with your little family gathered together. Aleksander lifts his eyes to meet yours and from the soft smile on his face you know he feels the same. His smile widens at the sight of you becoming slightly flustered by his gaze.

“Let’s go show your mama how well you summon.”

Her entire face lights up at the prospect of showing you her power. Aleksander has always tried his hardest for her to be proud of her gift with the shadows. She clambers into your lap easily and you help her balance herself with a gentle hand on her back.

“Mama, look.”

Shadows twirl around her fingers with much less finesse than her father’s but to an otkazat’sya like you her power is no less of a marvel.

“Clever girl,” you say, smoothing your hand over her dark curls. “Are you excited about going to school in the autumn?”

She nods.

Aleksander unbuttons the front of his kefta as he sits down the chair next to you, crossing his long legs at the ankle. His eyes skim over to check on the twins, his expression softening as he observes their laughter before his attention returns to you and Lidiya.

“We’ll have to have her measurements taken for her kefta.”

He reaches for the teapot at the centre of the table, pouring a cup for himself.

“Black?” you ask.

He tilts his head slightly as he decanters two cubes of sugar into his tea.

“Genya suggested a blue kefta with black embroidery for everyday use - full black for formal occasions. I wanted to ask what you thought of such a thing.”

You hum quietly, brows drawn together in consideration. Black is not only the colour for a shadow summoner but also the leader of the Grisha.

“I’m not sure.”

Lidiya will already be different from the other Grisha because of her power, wearing a unique kefta will set her apart from them even more but you don’t want to feel as though she should hide her power.

The little girl in question slides down from your lap, running off to play with her brother and sister. As you ponder Aleksander’s suggestion, you keep your eyes on your daughter, trying to picture what will be best for her.

“I think we should keep her in blue whilst she’s in school, to keep her the same as the other summoners.” Aleksander sips on his tea, nodding. “When she’s older she can decide if she wants black.”

“A graduation present perhaps?” he suggests.

You nod with a soft smile. The thought of Lidiya finishing school at the Little Palace seems forever away.

Aleksander turns his head to look at your eldest.

“How is your book, zolotze?”

Aleksander is one of the few people who won’t receive a small frown of confusion in response when Sonya is disturbed from her reading. Instead, she smiles at him.

“It’s good, papa.”

“Will you have finished it soon?”

She hums quietly, her brows creases together in thought - a mirror image of her younger sister - as she considers the book in her hands.

“I think so.”

Aleksander smiles. Sonya reads just as voraciously as her father.

“Why don’t we go to the library tomorrow and pick out a few new ones for you?”

She nods with a smile, closing her book and placing it aside to reach for the cup of tea you’ve poured for her.

Clouds shift above you, allowing the sun to shine down over the grounds of the Little Palace. As you finish your cup of tea, you glance fondly at your husband while he watches your children playing. Lidiya has joined her two older siblings, her shadows dancing at her ankles as she chases after them.

Aleksander turns to look at you, emotion clouding over his dark eyes. The smile he gives you is heartfelt, a tender expression filling his features as you reach for his hand. His fingers curl around yours, bringing them up to his lips for a gentle kiss.

Omg I don't know much about albinism sorry if I got something wrong or missed anything.

I shortened it because I'm not consistent.

Michael

Michael was stalking and then he saw you and thought you were a baby angel at first. Like seriously, you look so angelic!

Wanted to observe you more but then he realised that he's out for killing and then ran walked away.

A bit later when he's killed 3 people that he wonders why he didn't kill you. But whatever it was he wanted to see you again.

For a possibly-not-an-angel-and-just-an-odd-kid you sure as hell did act like an angel.

And then he started to feel protective over you. He distanced himself but that didn't work so he just dealt with this annoying feeling for now.

He saw a kid call you a mf chalk and then later he was also found cut out and dead like a chalk.

It was a sunny day where you tried to cover your eyes from the bright sun away from your sensitive eyes and your not so good wasn't helping at all.

You kept bumping into things when you bumped into a hard clothed big statue like legs which made a shade for your smaller body and you got a good look at your savior.

You were kinda creeped out since his gaze on you felt the exact watching ones you felt when you were outside or near a window but those eyes never meant harm or anything malicious towards you.

The figure then fastly walked away which was unknowingly the start of your new little friendship.

Sinclair brothers

They couldn't believe their eyes when they first saw you. You were just so... Different! In a good way! Wondered if you were just a pale kid who just bleached every hair on their body. Please forgive them they're new to this.

Bo again shows you off for tourist attraction but just in the shade, if you think he only likes you is because you can get the attention of people effectively he'll be very quick to dismiss those thoughts, of course he sees you more than that! That part is just for business. Don't think such silly thoughts again. Probably says shit like "don't run off and trip on the ground, it'll be a pain if your hair gets dirtied." but really it's just a dumb excuse to keep his paranoia away. He'll buy glasses for you if your eyesight is crazy poor.

Vincent also loves how you look. He's just in the corner like "wow I can't believe that beautiful child likes me." his cute little ass is in the basement and scribbling. Plays with your hair if you have any. He'd pick you up if you're having a hard time seeing, or covers you up on a bright day. He loves how you look but also hates the consequences you have to suffer with. He thinks you're very delicate because of these reasons and so comes mama Vincent, bo is around the corner no one can handle his mom energy yet.

Lester is sad that most of the time you can't go outside mostly because of your light sensitivity. But although the stars and the moon do look nice. Still tries to give you a good life though, he understands that you probably got looked at weirdly and doesn't want to make you feel that same way. Lester and Jonesy always have your back on this one. Random person bothering you? No problem Jonesy will get the pleasure of scaring the shit out of them maybe bite them idk depends. Maybe they're both mauling that person

Carrie

Was awestruck when she first saw you. Thought you kinda looked like her! And that you were an angel since you fit the description of one.

Would get confused if you said you get bullied. God people find reasons to bully someone for no reason.

She would definitely do something about it though, it would be very rude of her if she just let it continue.

Wouldn't go as far as killing but would scare them into never talking to you again. She might feel kinda bad but they deserved it.

Gives you old light coloured clothing as it goes well with you. Maybe you two can match!

Doesn't know what her mother will think of you so she keeps you hidden. She means no harm! She just wants to make sure she can be there for you.

▸ Falling for Law is easy. Sure, he's rough and abrasive on the outside, but he is just. the most loving protective person ever on the inside. Especially of you're part of his crew.

▸ Law pretends like its difficult to get into his heart, and to some it probably is, but to his crew? He's an open book. He overworks himself constantly, refuses to sleep, eats once in a blue moon ...

▸ safe to say, Law is a mess. I can see him as the type to have feelings for you looooong before you develop feelies for him. He keeps quiet, knowing that these feelings aren't appropriate to have twoards his nakama.

▸ If you start to take care of him (like bringing him food, tea, coffee, fussing at him to sleep) Law isn't dense enough to completely ignore what this means. He still keeps his feelings locked away, he doesn't want to put you in more danger. Being part of his crew brings enough misfortune upon you.

▸ The confession takes place in a tiny, battered tavern on some one-village island. Law is as tipsy as he can allow himself to be, and you're almost blackout drunk.

▸ His walls are softer, and he feels safe enough that he can sit a little too close for a captain and shipmate. His golden eyes are staring into yours, and without warning you lean forward and kiss him. Directly on the lips.

▸ Law is stunned. The shocked expression doesn't leave his face while he listens to you drunkenly wax poetic about how much you love him. He knew you felt .. more than friendship, but definitely not .... this for him.

▸ Before you can spew more embarrassing nonsense, Law kisses you. Operation; success. (penguin, shiachi, and bepo are all celebrating in the background. such supportive friends.)

Kidd + Luffy under the cut!

Kidd

▸ He's not the easiest person to get along with. Kidd knows this. He's proud of it! Getting close to him is a feat in itself, but falling for him? An emotional triathlon.

▸ Kidd is even worse about the tsundere act than law. He spews the absolute MEANEST insults to his friends but he would decapitate someone for making you cry.

▸ Kidd is loyal and committed. He cares a lot about his crew, his few friends, and will stick to an alliance if all terms are met. He values the bonds he has even if he really sucks at maintaining them.

▸ The best way to show Kidd you care is to compliment his work, let him brood uninterrupted, and be just snappy enough to give him a good laugh.

▸ Kidd falls HARD. Especially if youve been showing him extra special attention. He gets all mushy and warm on the inside when he's around you and becomes 10x spikier in your presence. (the blush on his face is REALLY obvious, though)

▸ You will have to confess before Kidd literally explodes. Nothing fancy, or large. Maybe just walking into his workshop with a plate from dinner + kissing his cheek.

▸ However, if Killer somehow manages to wrangle Kidd into admitting his feelings, he will confess first. (because he has to beat you, obviously). Its rushed, screamed, and probably ends with your face being squished into his. (Killer is .. proud?)

Luffy

▸ LUFFY IS SO EASY TO LOVE. He's so open and honest and loyal and upbeat that its just !! impossible to not develop some sort of feeling for him. its crazy how lovable this squishy boy is.

▸ Loving luffy can be .. equally frustrating. With how much danger he constantly is getting into it feels like he doesn't value his own life. He's so willing to put himself on the line for his crew, for YOU.

▸ Luffy happily bears his heart to you. All emotions, feelings, thoughts just fly out of his mouth with no concern for anything. If he likes you romantically, you'll know. He's probably blurting something out along the lines of "i just want to squeeze you all the time" or "you smell nice" or even an embarrassing "i wonder what you tatse like" ... he cannot shut up to save his literal life.

▸ The confession has to come from you. its simple, quiet (until luffy starts screaming), and very, very cuddly.

I never thought I'll enjoy Ep Nagi so much, but this spinoff has me feeling all kinds of things.

Stalker Reo 😭. The extents he goes to be Nagi's friend. Nagireo was never my thing, but I'm starting to see the appeal.

I think we as a fandom collectively ignore how funny Nagi is. The "legs broken" , " cells dead" 😂, Nagi is a relatable icon.

The expression in his eyes... they did such a great job with the art. And Reo clearly didn't understand how much of a big deal Nagi saying this was, bcz from a person who considers existing a pain, this is HIGH praise. Yep, definitely shipping Nagireo now.

God really isn't.🥲 Why does my boy Niko have to go through this?? From his perspective, this must look so horrifying. "Hugs Niko through screen".

Glad we have zantetsu's backstory now. I am LIVING for this friendship.

The Nagi- Zantetsu scene in the bath was so so cute. A depressed weirdo and a ostracized idiot finding a tentative comfort in each other. It really makes me wonder how Zantetsu is doing in PxG with all the ...interesting combination of people there. He seems like the type to straight up ask Loki why is a 17 yr old teaching them. Wonder how he'll bond with members like Tokimitsu and Rin. And his whole dynamic with PxG.

Protective Nagi!!

The "Nagi-kun" 😂 . Even Reo is sweating at how unnaturally angry Nagi is at Barou for hurting Reo. And I don't blame him at all. Bcz this chapter reminded me of why I dislike Barou so much.

I mean his behaviour here,

My heart is breaking for the other team. The desperation in the eyes of that blond kid , the bangs kid's sobbing... It really makes you feel for the rest of players who got locked off like Naruhaya and had an even worse time bcz of a bitch like Barou. Worst part is he meant every word he says here.

I'm sorry to all the Barou stans here, if you don't like what I'm saying, simply block me.

Ppl can call on-field Isagi and Rin rude all they want. Hell, even Sae does’nt bring people down in this manner. But nothing comes close to Barou spouting this kind of trash to his team. That they shouldn't even consider themselves human bcz they couldn't score a goal against Nagi.

And the way he was so insensitive to Snuffy opening up about Mick's death. Who tf actually tells a grieving person they won't end up like said dead guy bcz they're better or whatever, high key insulting Mick. Not a drop of compassion in him. Snuffy has the most patience in this entire facility for putting up with his bs.

Sae is rude to reporters, Barou is simply a deplorable human being with no excuse for his actions. I will be cheering Isagi on when he humiliates this guy in my reread. The only good thing I can say about him is that he's a great antagonist. If you stan Barou, atleast stan him as the jerk he is and not excuse his actions.

What. A. Badass.

Said it before and I'll say it again. The art in Ep Nagi is absolutely phenomenal. Esp, the shading on the other side of Nagi's face is stunning. Well, that's abt it for the first part of Ep Nagi.

I love that Will and Jack meet and become friends so quickly, Jack becomes a mentor (in place of Bill) and kind of an elder brother figure (just my interpretation) and Will follows him like a duckling follows a bigger duck. They're goofy. They're chaotic. They're cute. And their friendship is so touching. Will being like "If you wanna kill my bestie, you have to kill me too!" and Jack being like "Oh, that kid? He's my funny cinnamon roll so don't hurt him" - oh how I love this!

Everybody around knows these two are friends. Their crew knows and… enemies know too. And gosh, I love when enemies KNOW about their friendship and try to use it against them or when enemy doesn't know yet but is already a danger for Will or Jack and then boys behave like "What? Friends?! We? Sir, I’ve never met this man in my life!" 😉

Rewatching and ranting about s3:e4 of Merlin and it was such a funny beginning.

Starts out Merlin and Arthur walking into the tavern together for the first time, where no one knows who they are, and then go on to start a bar fight along side the first handsome stranger that walks up to them.

Then you get the homoerotic scenes throughout the episode. You have the Merlin and Gwaine scene where he wakes up half naked in his bed.

Also why haven’t I seen any Gwen+Gwaine cute friendship/bros flirting tropes in fics?? They’re little interaction is so cute. Gwaine really put effort into the flirting! Lol but towards the end where Gwen laughs at his attempts it seemed more like they were having playful banter than actually being serious. And Gwaine looks back at her with that happy look. They really remind me of when long time friends flirt w each other and then just laugh it off as a silly joke.

Then the bonding moment between Merlin and Gwaine where they share about their fathers and how they have similar experiences. 🥹 and talk about how Arthur is better than the other nobles and whether or not he’s worth dying for. Their trauma bonding over daddy issues is so cute.🥰

Arthur is so smooth with his gambling😭 “Make it 100😏🤷🏽” ugh I love him🫶🏽

Ugh Merlin is so beautiful this episode..

Gwaine being so protective of Merlin is so…🫦 and his accent when he’s calling out the thugs has kicking my feet.

Arthur is so into Gwaine lmfao bc they way he’s known him for less than a day and he’s already standing up against his father for him. Like the whole “he may not be a noble but he has a noble heart,” part is so.. ???? Like dude you’re crushing real bad rn..

My Thoughts on Juvia and Gray’s Relationship.

May contain spoilers for the anime & 100yq manga but I’ll be as vanilla about it as possible. This is a long one so get comfy.

A few years ago, I used to be upset at the fact that Gruvia took so long to happen. But now that I’m older and I’ve hyper fixated on the couple long enough, I’ve learned to appreciate their relationship for what it is now and for what it was in the beginning. From the start I’ve always shipped Gruvia but I never expected them to be together in the first place, PLUS I only shipped them because I honestly just liked the idea of them being together. Liking the idea of a couple and the couple actually being good together is two different things and I knew that. My initial thought was “how funny would it be if they actually got together”. Kinda like a gag if you will. But overtime I started to REALLY appreciate their build up. There are plenty of couples out there in popular anime who’s relationships parallel to Gruvia, (the girl or guy is deeply in love and the other party pays them no mind). But what I really hate about relationships like that is when they get slapped together at the end just to please an audience. If Mashima did the same thing, I could honestly say I probably wouldn’t be shipping Juvia and Gray to this day, but luckily for me and other Gruvia fans he did not go that route. People say that fans forced Gruvia to be canon which is just not true since FROM THE BEGINNING of the series, Gray was told by the fortune teller that he would be tangled up with a water woman in the near future. Plus the simple fact that their characters were designed to match each others (water and ice), Juvia is also a semi-yandere (I only say semi because Juvia won’t actually do anything to hurt Gray or the others she cares about) and Gray is a Tsundere. In the beginning Gray was honestly just a dick to Juvia, but that was more for comedic effect which me being a hard core Gruvia fan at the time, sometimes I didn’t appreciate. But now a days I really do appreciate the comedy between the two characters because I’ve realized there is a good balance between their comedy and the seriousness of how they actually feel about each other. You could even call Gruvia a slow burn but in my eyes the pacing is perfect and very realistic.

Here are my thoughts on Gruvia from Gray’s perspective. Gray was pretty compassionate towards Juvia when they first met, even though they were enemies, Juvia of course gets love at first sight. As they get to know each other, Juvia’s love grows more and more intense and in Gray’s eyes it comes across as pushy. Though I personally saw her love for him being a “I see you need love, let me love you” type thing. He slowly (very slowly lmao) warms up to Juvia and they start going on jobs together and forming a close friendship, to the point where they would rather go on jobs together instead of with the rest of the team.

And then the plot starts to get a bit heavier and so does their relationship. Juvia and Gray have multiple occasions where they make protecting each other their main mission. But two particular scenes stood out to me in the last two anime arcs. Juvia sacrifices her relationship with Gray to do what was best for him, we all know the scene so I won’t go into details for the sake of time and spoilers. But in that moment that’s when I decided I didn’t ship them just because the idea was cute, I shipped them because they NEEDED each other. Juvia finally understood Gray and his history, while Gray not only understood his festering feelings for her BUT he got the closure he deserved of his family, all thanks to Juvia. Although there were subtle hints that Gray started to develop feelings way earlier on than this scene, THIS is when he knew for sure how he felt.

The last and finally scene that pretty much sealed the deal for them being my otp was when they both sacrifice themselves to save each other. **cries 😭** We got a full length scene of them damn near confessing how much they meant to each other. We all know what happens at the end of that scene, then Gray makes a promise to Juvia and that was to take her feelings more seriously. The thought of him loosing someone else he loved definitely shocked him into reality and broke that Tsundere spell that was casted on to him by the creators…well kinda. In the anime Gray eventually confesses his feelings in a round about way and I HATED IT! I just wanted him to lay it all out there on the table. But maturing is realizing that, that actually wasn’t the confession and that’s apparent in 100yq.

Although I would love for them to just be together already, I appreciate Mashima and Ueda taking their time with this couple and really putting emphasis on their shared character/relationship development. I also appreciate that we get this development through Gray’s perspective, it adds a bit more to them as a couple. In conclusion, I’m lonely and I want what they have. No but seriously I’m soaking up every bit we get from Gruvia! Since Gruvia days is coming up, I had planned on doing a relationship/couple analysis from Gray’s perspective but this honestly sums it up lol!

kotone & junpei - i’ve drawn very little for them even tho they’re literally one of my favorite friendships in the entire franchise 😭 they make me laugh so hard and i love to imagine how chaotic they are together. i loved junpeis sl and how protective he is over her even as just a friend. it’s rare to find a good m/f friendship where romance isn’t forced on it (tho im sorry to anyone who wanted to romance junpei) and i think kotone and junpei are such cute & funny friends

junpei & shinji - i drew 1 single thing for this duo but it’s also really really funny to me. shinji rarely gets to be silly and i just think he’d be like junpei’s older brother. i laugh every time i play dancing and shinji just goes “you’re too damn loud junpei” because it makes the brother vision so clear. also junpei thinks shinji is a badass. also i like imagining junpei bothering shinji about everything and shinji going along with it. and just imagine for one second shinji doing some dumb shit with junpei and tell me u dont love this duo also

junpei/fuuka - SORRY for another junpei one but. and yall might get on me,,, but this ship is soo fucking cute omfg. i lowkey love it a lot. i didn’t see it before reload (and dancing) but ever since playing dancing into reload, they’ve really grown on me. their dances are so cute together and, with kotone’s guidance, i think junpei would be able to sweep fuuka off her feet… fuuka would cook for junpei and immediately kill him

yukari & aki - i know u said “don’t talk about as much” but i couldn’t not mention them. they’re like the angelic behalf of shinji&junpei. i’ve always felt like they preferred each others company out of the others. like i feel like they wouldn’t bother each other and would actually enjoy being around each other. + reload added some interactions/lines that i loved. time to bring up my brief moment of disappointment when yukari asks aki for help in a study session but he doesn’t get to answer </3

yukari & kotone - this one is soo cute. i do think romantically they’d also be really cute but even as just friends i just love seeing yukari get to interact with another girl and have a super fun relationship with her. i cry when kotone can tell yukari her favorite color is also pink. they’re just girls…

i also love aigis & aki (i think aigis could find comfort in him about kotone since their situations are similar)

and recently (i went into it a bit on a diff ask) chidori with yukari & fuuka !! i love chidori having actual friends that isn’t strega, though i also love her with jin in more of a sibling sense (but if u ship them that’s fine)

Affection: How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?

He's very openly affectionate with you, completely shameless when he kisses you in public. He compliments anything good he notices about you and always says he loves you, but he also likes hanging out with you at his favorite places.

Best friend: What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?

Tbh Alfred just saw you and decided to have a conversation with you, this could be anywhere while anything is happening. He's a very playful friend, he really likes playing sports or video games with you.

Cuddles: Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?

Most definitely he would. He likes if your head lays on his chest while he hold you with one arm, it makes him feel like he can protect you. Also he just seems like the type to rest on his back to me.

Domestic: Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?

He can make scrambled eggs or toast, but thats the farthest his chef skills stretch. Cleaning isn't for him either since he always ends up breaking something on accident. He wants to wait until he can do those things to settle down, if he does. He's fine either way.

Ending: If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?

He'd wait for a good time then tell you he doesn't think this is working out, he probably didn't think of what exactly to say beforehand so it probably took him a good minute to finally explain his feeling.

Fiance(e): How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?

Not the wildest about marriage, he'd do it if you want though. You can also do it almost whenever, he doesn't care too much as long as he knows you love eachother. Probably wouldn't marry you like a year into the relationship though.

Gentle: How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?

He's nice and not too rough with you, but he's certainly not gentle either. Expect plently of excited hugs when you two see achother. He does care when you feel bad but he mostly just tries to distract you, unless he can fix it, then he'll gladly be your hero.

Hugs: Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?

Hugs you a lot, doesn't even think about it either. He's naturally an affectionate partner and love's hugs. He just kinda squeezes you for 7 to 30 seconds and probably gives you a few little kisses too if you're up for that.

I love you: How fast do they say the L-word?

Depends a bit on how your relationship started, longest it will take is a month into you guys being together.

Jealousy: How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?

He gets pretty jealous every once in a while. Dislikes when you spend too much time with other people, also doesn’t like it at all when other guys (or girls) talk to you like they’re into you. Definitely a hugger when jealous, if it’s bad enough he’ll mention that you two are together.

Kisses: What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?

Loves to kiss you. He gives lots of excited kisses on the lips and cheek (mostly lips). His kisses aren’t all too rough though even if they’re fast, they’re always sweet.

Little one: How are they around children?

He's... alright. He's not the worst, but good is an overstatement. He likes to play with them until he's accidentally too rough and they start crying. He doesn't handle the moody ones well, but shy ones dont work either. Would not change diapers if its a baby, or do anything important in general. 3.5/10 with kids imo.

Morning: How are mornings spent with them?

Shakes you awake because he doesn't wanna be the only one awake. Thinks mornings are better when he drags you along with him to get IHOP once you two are ready, but at least he pays so thats a plus. Likes to go to the park afterwards so he can walk with you and start a race back to the car when done.

Night: How are nights spent with them?

He watches a movie before bed, won't force you to partake but will beg every time. After that he does the nightly rituals and struggles to choose a position to sleep in for about 20 minutes, then remembers something he wanted to look up and talks to you about it. Falls asleep midway through reading about it. You'd assume this would be annoying, but it grows on you.

Open: When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?

A lot of people assume he's an open person but he does have things he keeps to himself. Doesn't do it all at once, just brings it up every once in awhile or if something reminds him of it. Doesn't linger on it too long, but you do start to learn his life story and whatnot the longer the relationship goes on.

Patience: How easily angered are they?

Not too easily angered. Some things can get to him though after awhile but after being frustrated for about five hours he forgives you. Can be pretty petty every once in awhile though.

Quizzes: How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?

Remembers about 70% of what you say, he tries to listen so he can get an idea of what gifts you'd like or to hear your interests. If he hears your impressed about something you saw, he might try it himself. Doesn't remember everything you say though, especially if you tell it while he's busy. Sometimes you say "hey, remember when i told you- (blah blah blah)?" and he'll lie that he does, then pretend to know all about the subject.

Remember: What is their favorite moment in your relationship?

Definitely something stupid. Either the time he snuck a (live) snake into a glass jar in the kitchen while you were in there or when he got you to come with him to a horror escape room and you two were chased by a man in a clown costume.

Security: How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?

He'd protect you if you're in any danger, without much thought really. He is the hero so it makes sense. He doesn't get protective over too many things that aren't dangerous though, like you having other friends who are guys or anything like that. Doesn't like it if people hit on you though, not like he'll cause a scene or anything but he certainly won't allow it to pass by.

Try: How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?

GIANT show off. Sometimes, though. Sometimes he'll just drive around with you while listening to music, or he'll take you to mcdonalds. Don't be shocked if he takes you on a luxury cruise for your fourth anniversary though. Also a fan of road trips to major spots in the USA with side trips to things like the salt and pepper shaker museum, or the biggest cowboy hat. LOVES day trips even if nothing special is happening though, expect one a week.

Ugly: What would be some bad habits of theirs?

Wore axe body spray at some point. Lasted two days until someone (you don't know who) had a talk with him about it. Depending on your opinion his fast food eating, and eating out very often in general might get annoying. Always pounds himself with cologne, sometimes multiple ones at once so he smells like a walking scent store. Would have a whole closet for 4th of july stuff, and sometimes brings the stuff out even when its not a partiotic holiday. Oh, also he has his flag on his boxers so look forward to seeing that if you look at the laundry.

Vanity: How concerned are they with their looks?

Pretty shameless. He likes to wear really stupid stuff out and about to get stares since he thinks its funny. Does put some attention to what he wears though, especially if he feels its important. He likes to think he dresses good for the most part though.

Whole: Would they feel incomplete without you?

He does think you're really important, but incomplete isn't what he'd describe. He thinks of you two as not only dating, but also best friends. He does miss you though when you two are apart, but he doesn't think about you all the time either. Never think of it as you not not being valuable to him though.

Xtra: A random headcanon for them.

Cooks barbecue every damn weekend, every other week theres a pool party with it too. Since his house definitely has a pool. People there are a mix of complete strangers and close friends of his you never met before. Be prepared for that.

Yuck: What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?

He's pretty open to various types of people, he doesn't like people who argue a lot though. Doesn't like extremely negative people either, especially if it brings everyone else down too. Of course, people who are sad or not overly positive in general are fine, he actually tries to help them feel better. Doesn't like the idea of someone who dominates his life either, he wants to be able to do things without being dragged down by his partner.

Zzz: What is a sleep habits of theirs?

Snores, noticeably but not too badly. Sleep talks too. Moves around. Always close to you though, will not ever leave ur side. Even if it means your being pulled with him if he falls off the side of the bed, which has happened before. Was funny to him, but not you.
