@havatnah, my friend, thank you so much for sending me this a while back, and I'm sorry I didn't have anything presentable to share sooner. But looking through my documents, I did manage to find something decent from my 1888!Syndicate AU idea. It does feature my OC, Magnolia, buuuut despite that, I thought you'd appreciate some soft older!Jacob spending the morning in bed - so here you go! ;) Hope you enjoy this little WIP snippet! <3
A/N: For some context, this takes place post-JTR DLC, dealing with the repercussions of the events of the Autumn of Terror. (I think I wrote this up after watching a few episodes of "Ripper Street".) Features brief (not major) mentions of scars from wounds and a tiny bit of angst mixed with fluff - a word of warning, just in case?
Magnolia sucked on her bottom lip as she continued to look over the countless letters, photographs, and newspaper clippings with exhausted frustration. She hadn't bothered to rise from bed or even get dressed, as the contents of the papers distracted her not long after she woke up. But fortunately, despite the chill of the morning kissing her bare shoulders, the bed was still warm. Lying on her stomach, she crossed her arms and rested her chin on them with a huff.
"It doesn't make any sense!" she exclaimed in a louder whisper than intended.
"What doesn't…?" Jacob's voice, groggy and rendered even deeper than usual, due to just being roused from sleep, asked softly.
"All of this!" she responded immediately without thinking. It then occurred to her that she was no longer the only one awake, and that her outburst may have pulled her lover from his peaceful sleep. She glanced over at him sheepishly. "Oh. Sorry, didn't mean to wake you."
"Mmm…don't worry about it, love," he mumbled in return, still blinking the sleep from his hooded eyes. "It's probably time I got up, anyway." He attempted to stretch his muscles, and winced a little at the dull ache that still remained in some parts of his recovering body. Then, with as much effort as he could manage, he rolled over onto his belly and half rested himself upon the young woman's bare back. "Did you sleep well?"
She lifted a hand up and cupped his cheek in acknowledgement, her thumb brushing over one of his sideburns. "Yeah, just fine," she replied, throwing a small smile over her shoulder. "You?"
"Mmm-hmm…" he hummed, the tip of his nose dancing over her warm skin. He then grinned just a little. "You just about wore me out last night," he teased.
Sir Jacob Frye, the man who had barely a reason to smile over the last year, was now teasing - no - flirting again. Who'd have thought he still had it in him?
However, his smile faded when he didn't get much of a response back from his lover, and he looked up to see she was once again engrossed in the myriad of papers and pictures sprawled out in front of her.
He sighed.
He knew realistically that despite the Ripper now being deceased, his memory and the effects of his reign of terror over London wasn't going to immediately fade from the public's recollection. But that didn't stop the tiny, idealistic part of him that remained, even after all that had happened, to hope that he could settle back down to some level of normalcy in his life - including enjoying the company of his sweetheart in bed, without anything relating to the outside world bleeding in.
He pressed a gentle kiss upon her shoulder blade.
"Why don't you put those things aside for the moment?" he tried again, his lips still pressing kisses against her skin. "It's too early."
It was then that Magnolia seemed to finally catch onto Jacob's subtly needy tone, and she glanced over her shoulder once more. Seeing his eyes, when he lifted them to meet hers, she couldn't help feeling a little guilty for letting her borderline-obsessive need to piece things together to interrupt what should be a peaceful morning.
Her own eyes flickered with a hint of sympathy. ""Oh, Jacob…I'm sorry." She then gathered everything in front of her and tossed the pile onto the nightstand, not caring when some papers fell to the floor, before turning over onto her back and wrapping her arms around her lover's neck. "Come here…come here."
She gently pulled Jacob down towards her and met his lips sweetly. She heard him sigh contently into the kiss and she smiled a bit against his mouth. Deepening it, a soft moan escaped her. She wanted to him to know that he was still more important to her than her work. He had to know.
Nevertheless, he still pulled back momentarily. He looked a tad uncertain.
"You know, you don't have to do th–"
His words were silenced with another kiss.
"Trust me; obligation is the furthest thing from my mind," she then told him with a hint of a smile, before touching her forehead to his. "Thanks for bringing me back to the here and now."
A soft and relieved look surfaced in Jacob's eyes, and he brushed the tip of his nose against Magnolia's. "Thanks for being with me here and now," he cooed.
He kissed her once more before shifting his body somewhat to lay his head upon her shoulder. His nose now nuzzled against her neck, as she began to run one of her hands through his messy hair. Her other arm wrapped around his shoulders. Under her hand, she could feel the newly-healing scars on his skin and tried to ignore it. Now wasn't the time to be remembering their origins, just as now wasn't the time to be sorting through the pages that bore the name of the monster who inflicted those wounds. Now needed to be a time of quiet, of respite, of love.
She kissed him again.

Hehehe, time for me to open Pandora's box for this one...
I gasped out loud when I read this prompt, because over this past month I've been obsessed with flower symbolism. I bought myself a book on Victorian flower language after falling down a research rabbit hole and have been slowly teaching myself all of the different meanings. Because of this, flower symbolism actually ends up playing a minor role in Agent Ace, so this question is especially appropriate (go figure)! So, thank you for giving me an excuse to think about it even more! :)
Of course, it was impossible to choose just one flower for each OC, so everyone gets a bouquet! I also may have gotten a lil' carried away with how many characters I included in this post... my five primary OCs plus three minor OCs (all from Agent Ace). Valerie, She/Her, Trans and Bi. 26- A strong willed girl who has exceptional control over the Roots. Stubborn and kind hearted.
Natalie, She/Her, Pansexual. 28- Compassionate leader of a group of survivors after the emergence of the Roots. Tries her hardest to help out and rescue other people. Is strong and affectionate
Serena, she/her, lesbian. 16- young, but intelligent girl. She's self taught in first aid and basic medicine and has an insatiable sense of curiosity and always yearns to learn. Very sweet.
Ava, She/Her, Trans lesbian. 17- a young winged folk, she's had a difficult life due to discrimination and bigotry as a trans girl and struggles with her identity. Protective and quiet.
Daniel, He/Him, just some guy, 22- The next in line to a Magnolian noble family, due to his sister refusing to be the heir. Smart and caring, but a fair bit egotistical. Shares a love for the environment and nature like his father before him.
Clover, She/Her, Bi and Ace, 25- Daniel's sister, a usually shy and reserved women, she's an exceptional sharpshooter and participated in many marksmanship competitions. Very sympathetic and most find her a joy to be around. Absolutely smitten with Valerie.
Dr Bennett, They/Them, Ace, 30.- A researcher in ecology and biology, they've taken an interest to the Roots and the Shadows that came with them, studying their behaviors and trying to find ways to keep people safe from them. They're eccentric but well regarded as both a friend and asset.
Alex, He/they, gay, 27- Childhood friend of Natalie's. A doctor but not a fighter, he dedicates his work currently to stitching up and taking care of the survivors Natalie rescues.
Michelle, She/her, Bi, 18- Childhood friend of Serena's, once a very kind and loving friend. After the loss of most of her friends, along with months of isolation, has become extremely bitter and hateful. Blames Serena for the death of Samantha, a girl she was in love with but whom Serena was dating at the time.
Kellam, he/him, just some guy round 2, 17- Childhood friend of Serena. Chivalrous and kind, he aspired to be a knight of Magnolia when he was an adult. Got separated from his friends during the emergence of the Roots. Protective of his only 2 remaining friends, but hates seeing what Michelle had become and tries to help her.

Lavinia (Pokemon Desolation), she/her, lesbian, 19. An energetic and theatric young women who loves the dramatic. Very flirtatious with girls and prefers to be an optimist. Preference in bug types, but uses several types of Pokemon, an Ariados is her signature.
Anya (Pokemon Rejuvenation), She/They, Bi and Ace, 18 (chapter 1) - 19 (Chapter 15, current). A shy and quiet young women who used to live in the pre-Meteor ruined Reborn region before dying in an accident. Brought back as the Interceptor in the Aevium region 15 years later. Very shy due to a childhood of bullying from her peers, and horribly unconfident in her own abilities, she perseveres regardless. They're a Grass and Ground specialist, and her ace is a crested Delcatty.
Allyson (Pokemon Reborn), trans lesbian, 22- An outwardly warm, but somewhat meek person who loves music, and wants to master her battling skills. While she hates the idea of killing and refuses to, she is however, inclined for violence on terrible people. A dragon type and dragon adjacent (see serpent like Pokemon along with species like Charizard and Tropius) specialist, her ace is a Steelix.

Hi there!
You have...opened the floodgates (in a good way). I have quite a few champion OCs. I’ll focus on the various champion OCs I have since I’ve mentioned this on my blog before the champions of Pokemon remain my favorite class of characters as they have so much potential as we’ve seen with Leon in SwSh. This is going to be a somewhat long post as I have 5 champions to talk about (plus there are pics here, most of them commissions from some very talented artists that I’ve tagged as I can’t draw)
(There’s Marsha and her starter/ace Rosemary the Audino with @hayleyb100 ‘s character Richard. Thank you HayleyB for drawing this! And if you guys haven’t please check out her amazing art and stories)
I’ll start off with the OC you mentioned in your ask...Marsha (full name Marsha Miller). She’s the Alolan champion that we see in my Conviction, the Raihan twilight wings episode (also shameless plug for my fic). Like many champions she’s a mixed type trainer, but she does have a slight preference for fairy types on her team. Unlike the SM/USUM protagonist, she actually hails from Unova but her family is military (her father used to serve under Lt. Surge before becoming a lieutenant himself) and so she’s lived in Unova, Kanto, and Alola. Before she ended up becoming Alola’s champion, she was content with being head of the cheer squad at her high school while in Kanto (before her family announced moving again and she was needless to say, quite upset at the prospect of throwing away her cheer captain title). Back when she lived in Unova, she would often stop by her grandparents herbalist shop to learn about various medicinal herbs.
I hint to this a bit in my Convictions fic when Marsha asks Raihan a question about him becoming champion elsewhere, but Marsha has a huge bout of imposter syndrome from being the first ever champion of Alola as she doesn’t feel like she measures up to the legends like Red or Blue or known superstar champions like Leon and Cynthia. A lot of her character growth comes after she wins the title as she learns to work with Kukui to help build up the Alola League and make it famous. Luckily she happens to be a pretty friendly, if somewhat reserved character making it easy for her to befriend the likes of Leon and Raihan (and she also gets them to be a couple). Both Leon and Raihan give her tips they’ve learned from being in Galar to help boost the reputation of the Alola League. Back in Alola she is good friends with Mallow, Plumeria and Mina as they often visit Mallow’s restaurant to eat and catch up. She ends up being a big sister friend to Gladion, Lillie and Hau (being in her late teens when she first met the kids) as well as Iris when she meets her at the champion’s conference.

The next one is my probably my most well-developed champion OC and my version of Victor/Gloria...Calla Okoro. She’s the Sword Hero of Galar to go with Hop’s Shield Hero. Calla is a baby genius with an IQ of 162 (so she’d qualify for MENSA in the real world) and graduated college at the age of 12 with a degree in chemistry, a year before she ends up taking on the gym challenge. Her favorite type is poison and she decided that she would take on the gym challenge by using only Poison types, refusing a starter from Leon to train up her Budew and other poison types she found along the way.
Her knowledge of poison types would become very useful towards the end of the challenge and Eternatus awakening and possessing Leon , however this girl struggled so much at the beginning as the poison types she caught don’t really get good until they evolve. It was also a testament to having book knowledge of Pokemon and type advantages doesn’t equate to automatically winning a battle. She struggled especially at Kabu’s gym, resulting in her first official loss (outside of losing her second battle to Hop at Magnolia’s house due to his Rookidee being super effective against her Budew nicknamed Sabi).
Calla is persistent though and patient so she worked with her team developing a killer toxic stall strategy (that helped her be the first person to take Leon down). As champion Calla uses her position to promote science and eventually goes back to school to get PhD, becoming the first Galar champion to also be a professor. When Calla is not doing Pokemon battles or giving science demos, she tends to enjoy doing backflip competitions with Gordie or rocking out at Piers’ concerts with Marnie and Hop and Bede (Bede will deny hanging out with them)

This is Jabari Revere, my Kalos champion OC and part of the Kalos 5. I’m still working on his backstory and personality as I replay Pokemon Y (I tend to replay the games for my champion OCs to build up their teams and get a sense for the personality). Jabari is a water type champion who enjoys his days swimming in the ocean and surfing on his Mantine, nicknamed Monterey. Like Serena from the anime he is a bit at odds with his mother Grace for wanting him to take up the family tradiiton of Rhyhorn racing. However unlike anipoke!Serena, he did have a goal of training water type Pokemon with the aim of becoming a water type champion just like Wallace from Hoenn. Jabari is definitely an easy going fellow, which helps him befriend Serena, Tierno, Trevor and Shauna as well as Grant and Clemont. Unlike my Galar champion Calla, he is more willing to use Pokemon other than water types, such as when he fought Korrina at the Mega Evolution tower using the Lucario who was attracted to his aura, or when he rescued Yveltal from Team flare and let it get revenge on Lysandre

Yes, you’re looking at a robot. His name is Valen and is actually my first non-self insert Pokemon OC. After watching the first Pokemon movie and seeing Mewtwo be a Pokemon trainer, and also after watching the Watson computer on Jeopardy, I came up with the idea of “what if someone made a robot as a Pokemon trainer”. Hence Valen, the world champion of my version of the Pokemon World
Created by Molayne and Sophocles at the request of Red and Blue as a new fixture for the battle tree, Valen quickly began to learn from the some of the strongest trainers how to battle (with a frequent opponent being Marsha as she needed someone who could challenge her in battle). Once he figured out how to consistently beat the likes of Red, Blue and Marsha in battle...it was a wrap. Valen travelled to every known region and soon became the undisputed most powerful trainer in the world defeating every last living champion. He even took on Leon, Cynthia and Red in a triple battle and won. Despite his absolutely monstrous skill Valen is an absolute sweetheart and always compliments his opponents in battle. He also loves bowties, with his first gift being the red bowtie he sports from Sophocles do not touch or harm that bowtie if you value your life, it’s one of the few things that will actually piss off this gentle giant of a robot.

So this is my final non-self insert champion OC, His Royal Highness Jack, Duke of Stow-On-Side. In a discord server and on some messages here on tumblr, I’ve described Jack as the unholy combination of Caillou and Jack the Ripper.
Jack hails from a disgraced family of aura guardians who learned that they could use their aura powers to create shadow Pokemon. 150 years prior to the main Sword and Shield story line his family managed to beat back the Hammerlocke Royal family (aka the great Raihan’s family) from Stow-On-Side and Ballonlea to claim the two towns for themselves. When Peony stepped down as champion Jack ended up taking the champion title. Now Jack is actually a legitimately powerful trainer without the need to shadowfy his Pokemon, but he does so anyway to ensure absolute control and to hopefully make his royal family the absolute rulers of Galar (his actions would years later inspire Sordward and Shieldbert, the Dukes of Motostoke). He even bribed gym leaders to be extra difficult on challengers he deemed to be a threat (so Leon, Raihan, Nessa and Sonia got hit hard with this).
Jack’s misdeeds are pretty vast. The reason why Sonia is so unconfident in her battling skills? Jack ambushed her in the wild area and destroyed her in a match while mocking her. Why does Leon have that perfect image as champion? He’s trying to build back the reputation the Galar league has after Jack nearly destroyed it’s rep on the world stage with his actions. Why are Leon and Sonia so insistent on you focusing on the gym challenge and leaving the problems to the adults? The adults during their gym challenge were either on Jack’s side or were actually useless against him and his shadow Pokemon. To quote my friends in an rp server I’m in “Jack is the absolute worst”
So that’s all of the champion OCs I have. As I continue to write more fanfic will definitely see all of them pop up in various stories.

I'm making ace attorney ocs (begrudgingly) and making pun names is hard (esp. bc they won't like hold up well in asl so what's the point) so I went more for symbolism with names! So far I literally have One even close to properly developed but their name is Magnolia and they're pretty poggies me thinks

I don't think I uploaded this.
So idk if anyone remembers an older post I made with an OC and fakemon teams, but I got bored recently and decided to do a series of him exploring official regions.
First up, Galar, because I made the Dojo sprite first and said wth, let's just do it. I decided to omit a traditional Galar starter both to make his team different from mine and because none of the three really fit his style imo. Plus, Eevee is a good lad just to take everywhere with the only exception being Hoenn.
So, Taurao, in my mind, is located... ehhhhh northern US or Canada, haven't decided, so Galar, being the UK, seems closest in terms of location and geography or culture. Dray was most likely invited there as Tauraro's current or ex champion (depending on my anime or game timeline) to participate in the gym challenge, but was forced to start over due to Galar's ridiculous pokemon restrictions and Tauraro's own laws about their wildlife being far too dangerous for other regions.
He picked up an Eevee instead from a random train person after helping with a favor, and I imagine he probably got in a fight with Bede before he began his challenge. With a win, he got a wishing star to "go away", and with a visit to Magnolia, he got a Dyna bracelet made for him. As time went on, he would find that Eevee could Gmax.
Eventually he would catch a Rookidee which would evolve into his regional ace, Corviknight. Next would be Chewtle who became Drednaw, although Drednaw does not like to dynamax. Because Dray is a good guy, he obtained Toxel next, later Toxtricity, as a favor for saving the nursery people from Team Yell's annoyance. Next would be a random Sizzlepede he caught during Kabu's gym challenge that would later evolve into Centiskorch. Lastly, he caught a Clobbopus that followed him from the gates to Spikemuth, which evolved into Grapploct eventually.
However, his journey was cut short by Team Yell closing off Spikemuth. He would get his last two badges honorarily after beating the gyms, and help the gym leaders in taking out rampant dynamax pokemon, but he didn't make it in time for League registration and thus was disqualified.
To make up for it, he was invited to the Isle of Armor to train. There, he would have Corviknight, Toxtricity, and Centiskorch drink dynamax soup, allowing them to Gigantimax. While there, he caught a Sharpedo that almost ate him for lunch and uses that to get around the sea paths. Mustard gave him an egg that would hatch into a Mienfoo and eventually evolve into a Mienshao, because Dray was the only student who could fix the man's tv antennas to pick up Unovan wrestling without paying pay per view. Dray and Mustard would train together, and Dray's skills dramatically improved, but the day he beat Mustard, there was nothing left to teach him. This would be his last day at the dojo, but not before Honey helped him get to the Crown Tundra.
The Crown Tundra was a major test of skill for Dray. Peony recruited him to an exploration team with another trainer (could be the player character), and he mostly went because Peony reminded Dray a lot of his own dad, whom he missed. Dray somehow wasn't involved in much of the Calyrex stuff and instead focused on exploration and occasionally Dynamax Adventures, where he met Nia and was able to keep a Swampert he befriended during his time there. Dray would also make his way to the Dyna Tree, where he learned more of its mysteries and also caught a Tyrantrum that also made him a meal- reminding Dray that his Tauraran Charizard and Sharpedo also did the same. While someone else felt with Calyrex, Dray had to handle Regigigas, the titans, and the birds from wreaking havoc, and at the end he walked away with Regieleki.
After some considerable training, adray would eventually be invited to participate in the Galarian Star Tournament. Since there was a limit to how many pokemon could be used, Dray went with his trusty Gmax Corviknight, his Mienshao, and his new Regieleki to get by. I imagine he'd probably partner with someone like Peony so that the two could just plow through their competition and to help Peony give his daughter a show, and the final round would be against Leon and Mustard- a true fight of former champions as it were, since Leon canonically lost to the player at this point. Peony would wear both teams down but would probably be the first to go down, then Mustard, and finally Leon after Corviknight manages to survive Charizard and use a Dmax powered Brave Bird to just barely survive and end it, finally giving him the W in the fight he was looking forward to the most.
Dray would want to challenge the Champion, but the Champion is probably AWOL by this point. Oh well.

So, people with Pokemon Protagonist OCs, which is your favorite one (or multiple if you have multiple favorites)?
Mine is Ellis Holiday. Former Unova champion (Black 1), killer of Ghetsis, and boyfriend of Piers. Mentally screwed dude but still wants to have a good time when on his meds. Spends most of his time in Galar but also visits Unova to see his friends and family. Loves his serperior, reshiram, weavile and hydreigon. Cousin of Bea and Allister. Grandson of Magnolia. Brother of N. His ace is his Weavile. He primarily uses dark types but often switches to training his dragon types. His main team is a serperior, mienshao, banette, cinccino, weavile, and reshiram.
He lives in Nuvema Town in Unova, and Spikemuth in Galar. He is 19 and started his pokemon journey at 15.

Yeah, so clearly a lot of mixing everything up because people are people first and their ethnicity and sexuality comes after that. Or at least that’s how I make em. I think my favourite secondary character is Belias: black, Scottish, pan, over 6 foot, former SAS bastard and all round slice of perfection Also, the Brotherhood has all sorts, though they prefer it when their people aren’t picky about who they have sex with since that gives them more range with jobs, but they’re not gonna force it, which is nice of them, I guess.
As for non-binary ocs, there’s none on the list yet. I don’t wanna just have one to tick some box like yoohoo everyone I gots nb ocs too so give me props. I’m not ruling out making a nb oc if that’s what they end up being, and I’ve still got loads of room for new ocs in this series, so this isn’t even a complete list, anyway. I don’t plan traits for ocs beyond them showing up fully formed and being all “Im in this too, so suck on it” and just going with it. They tell me who and what they are and I work with it, cause that’s how real people are and I don’t see how me forcing an oc to be something they’re not could improve the story.
