SU AU Stobotnik
Long post (probably ooc White Diamond and Robotnik)
I love making Steven Universe and Homestuck AUs of random characters, so here’s my Dr. Robotnik and Agent Stone as gems idea.
Robotnik is a one of a kind red emerald owned by White Diamond. He would have been shattered for being “off color” if not for the fact that his uniqueness makes him significantly smarter than all the other emeralds and White feels she can use this to her advantage. He’s White’s resident scientist/weapons engineer, and her sort of “pet/secret weapon” thing. He starts going by Bixbite to further separate himself from the other “rocks for brains” emeralds (yes, I know there’s a cannon Bixbite, but I found that out after I made this AU, so too bad, Robotnik’s the only Bixbite in existence in this AU). However, he’s incredibly difficult to interact with, so White usually has another gem relay messages for her. He often ends up poofing said messengers, though, out of irritation. This becomes a problem, so out of passive aggressiveness and trying to fix the problem, White makes him a Pearl specially suited to match his personality (so as not to be afraid to talk to him) and act as a barrier between Robotnik and every other gem. This Pearl is Agent Stone. At first, Robotnik is the happy with another plebeian gem in his lab, calling Pearl “nothing more than a common stone to him.” Eventually, he starts to grow on him, and the nickname “Stone” sticks. Stone, of course, in typical pearl fashion, starts to fall in love with his Bixbite.
I have more to their story, but it’s not all fleshed out, yet. Some random tidbits I have…
-Pearl’s weapons are handguns
-Bixbite hates working under White and wants to be his own boss
-They’re not for the revolution, but they’re not against it either. They couldn’t care less about some planet called “Earth” with other creatures on it. But at some point, Bixbite gets cracked and needs to be healed. Pearl hears about a rebel Rose Quarts with healing powers and escapes with his broken boss to Earth to heal him. They end up getting stuck on Earth as Homeworld fugitives.
-Bixbite enjoys making ships, but is envious of the fact that the other emeralds get to actually fly them, while he’s stuck on the ground. He secretly wishes to see the stars and often daydreams about space.
-They accidentally fuse very briefly while Bixbite is cracked, so he has no memory of this happening, but Pearl remembers. He never said anything to anyone (not even his boss) about it, but has been trying to recreate that moment ever since. When he finally does, their fusion isn’t very stable, breaking apart only moments later. Bixbite ends up having a distaste for fusion, feeling like he’s losing himself when he fuses.
-Bixbite does eventually return Pearl's romantic feelings, but they find other ways to show their love outside of fusion.
That’s all I have. If you guys like this AU, let me know! If you have questions, I’ll try to answer as best I can

I found this awesome Au, and was given the blessing to do a (1) fanart, except I got a little excited and decided sleep is optional; so I made 3 pictures.
This is the first fanart I do for this fandom, and I'm fucking proud. Stone's in love and it's painfully obvious.
Anyway, I tried to draw robotnik's long coat, but I didn't succeed.
Post war (i guess), Pearl misses her diamond. Stone and Robotnick are being gay.
I imagine if he ever had to reform, Robotnick would remove the diamond pattern on his clothing.
I also gave Stone a rectangular neckline because Robotnick's gem is rectangular *wink wink*.
I'll not comment on this.

@princess-pacman
Thanks for giving me the green light, and sorry if I went too far 🗿, I got a little excited.

English is not my first language, sorry if it's confusing.

I never really cared about knights before but suddenly they hit different. So very different. Oh my stars.
Might make her a princess but rn she's just a lady, noble or not. Kinda love the idea of a knight and a normal village girl though. Being protected makes one feel important.
Also got new pens! Several red fineliners and two erasable black pens! So far really like them ^^

Ghost Crew pt 1
Miles “Sails” Prower:
While he was alive, Miles Prower was a crew member of the Westside Pearl. He was bullied relentlessly for his two tails, some crew members going as far as breaking his vocal cords and dangling him over the ocean.
At one point, the crew was experiencing a huge string of bad luck. The captain blamed the fox kit and Miles was thrown overboard and he eventually drowned.
Knuckles the Dread saw potential in him so he was invited to leave the afterlife and become the first member of the Angel’s Voyage. He helped Dread repair his ship and get her moving. Somewhere along the way, he gained the nickname “Sails”. Despite being mute, the crew know what he’s saying (most of the time)
Sails can usually be found up in the crows-nest
Black Rose:
While she was alive, Black Rose was a member of the Little Planet’s Heart. She was known for being a fearless fighter and a kind soul. She quickly made her way up to being one of the captain’s favorites, but in the process she made a lot of enemies.
While exploring an island with some of her fellow crew members, they stumbled upon a rare artifact. Before she could grab it, she was betrayed. Her fellow crew members attacked her and set off explosives, causing a cave in and starting a small fire. She lost her hearing in one ear and eventually died of asphyxiation.
Captain Dread respected her and her accomplishments so she was invited to join the Angel’s Voyage. She quickly became close with Sails and agreed to help out in any way she could. Due to her partial deafness, sneaking up on her could prove disastrous (for the person doing the sneaking).
Black Rose can usually be found at the bow, cleaning weapons or singing
random ghost crew fact: at night, they are corporeal so that’s when they work/attack the most. During the day, they spend their time messing around or just chilling (sonic is absolutely devastated that he can’t ruffle Sails’ bangs…also that his friends and little brother are dead in this world but that’s besides the point)

Lizzie - A failed assassination. She just wanted to help her husband, the only one who stayed, the only one early, to her slumber party. A task that eventually led to her doom, her insanity, one may say.
But now here she was, dying in a way she lived. Embarrassingly. She caused her own death, tripping over the edge of the end island. She was alone, she didn't want to accept her fate. It was just too ironic... Just like her last death in this damned universe. If she accepted this way to go, maybe it would've been a peaceful death. The void numbed your senses after all, no more pain, no more suffering. But how embarrassing this was, tripping into the void, throwing the ender pearl too late. She just wanted to help, she wanted to take one of Scott's lives to help with the task of her beloved...
Did anyone even realize she was dead besides Scott? Joel must be worried...
...The deafening sound of thunder boomed from the ender portal after lightning crackled out. Confirming the death of the first.
Jimmy - He was ecstatic, his curse was broken! He wasn't the first dead! No grief for the one who swore to protect him in a previous life. None at all. He was too focused on the fact he was free, finally free after so long. It felt like an internity since he felt this light, this free to do everything.
This, this feeling didn't last long... Or perhaps it did?
It was chaos near the end of this session of secrets, a wither casting destruction upon this land. A warden who viewed all as foe.
Jimmy was helping, he was attacking the Wither! He was so certain he wouldn't die, not yet. His curse had been broken after all, he was free! But that damned Warden got in his way, blasting him into a hole. 1½ hearts left...
He needed to get away, he needed to live. But he was outmatched, too slow. He, he didn't get away quick enough. The warden, again, blasted him. And everything went black. He died. The second one out.
...Lightning crackled, filling the sky with light. The thunder confirming the death of another, the second one out.
Mumbo - Perhaps, he may have been the only one to accept his fate. He was also out there on the battlefield, he was being chased by the Warden.
Jimmy was near him, and he saw it. He saw him get blasted into the sky and into the hole by the Warden, but he couldn't see. The darkness effect blinding him too much to see what was happening around him. Jimmy cried out, he was at only 1½ hearts. He knew by sound that Jimmy was running away, which was smart.
Then, he heard it. The sound of the Warden's sonic boom again, in the direction of Jimmy. But that's not what made him freeze for a second, but instead it was the light that flashed, and the deafening sound that followed. Mumbo put two and two together immediately, Jimmy was dead. Another one of his fellow reds was gone. Jimmy was the second to die, and Mumbo knew deep down this was probably his end too.
His fight or flight activated as he sensed the Warden's attention go towards him. His ears were ringing from how close the thunder was but he booked it. The pain from the first sonic boom hitting him seemed like nothing. He had been at full health, he could probably survive another sonic boom! Maybe he could escape, for Lizzie and Jimmy, he could live on.
But, he was stopped, stopped by his own fence posts that were there originally to troll Martyn. He smiled, and accepted his fate.
The Warden closed the distance.
...The lighting and the thunder following soon after confirmed the death of Mumbo. The third one out, the one who died with a smile...

thinking back, it's easy to see why i was immediately repulsed by harry potter, decades before we knew that rowling was a big fascist cunt.
the stuff i liked in 1997/8 all either had some slight anti-authority edge or would be considered way too violent for a 10-12 year old by pearl-clutchers:
sonic
judge dredd
nikolai dante
90s uk comics in general were incredibly unsubtle in their anarchocommunist politics (except for mark millar(spit))
final fantasy vii
various anime movies and oavs
x-men
spider-man/venom
nightmare on elm street
whatever random out-of-context issues i could get ahold of vertigo comics like the sandman, black orchid, books of magic, etc.
(it might seem impossible now, but there was a time when marvel characters existed outside the realm of us military recruitment ads)
and then this book came along with the approval of cbbc presenters and newspaper editors and it just seemed like the softest, most middle class thing for well-behaved boys and girls that i'd ever seen

Are you always trying to come up with new dhd characters or is it more like
Inspiration strikes and you can't not make this character who invaded your mind then do a ton of research on a topic for them (because... same lmao)
I almost want to turn my Sonic OC into a dhd character for funsies
Yes and no.
Yes in a way that
a) Alrick needs clients (as do other death heads)
b) Lywoods factions need a leader and the 2nd in command, so at least 8 characters. Also, it would be beneficial to show some of the regular Death Heads in each faction, too (at some point)
c) People have family members, friends, spouses, kids, coworkers, neighbors etc. they interact with
d) Since Kahamet's Elite Group (Central Death-Heads) is a thing, they need to be introduced at some point, too.
Other people are needed in stories for social interactions, as otherwise the story is an isolated monologue. This is especially important with Alrick, who needs other people to read his text messages; otherwise, we will not know what Alrick thinks or says.
A part of how I portrait Alrick is that we will never see his thoughts as speech bubbles. He is mute outside his cell phone and pen & paper. Of course, I try to convey his feelings through his expressions, postures, ear positions and gestures when he's alone. However, the best way to "hear" Alrick is through other characters.
Then, the "no" part. I've spoken about this previously but I don't design or plan characters. It's very rare that I get to decide how the character looks like (or what's their name). Typically, I just either know (the vision is given to me) or I just start to draw and see what kind of a character comes out. The best example of this is Grimm; the moment when Pearl sees him for the first time was the moment when I also saw him the first time. I was actually a bit concerned that he would end up looking too much like our visiting character Loid. What I did decide with Grimm was his name, eyes, colors and black ear tips.
(Characters adjust their designs over the time, too; like Grimm's shirt has just opened wider and wider the longer I have drawn him lol)
I don't do research for the characters either. I typically know their looks and name (and possible relation to another character within the story) but everything else is blank. Death-Head's Deal - as all I do - is 95% improvised. I'm only a one step ahead of you with all the information so that I can draw the story for you.
