Meyers Manx SR, 1970. The “Street Roadster” was Bruce Meyers attempt to make a more civilised, street oriented, kit car. Like the original Meyers Manx it was based on a VW Beetle platform, shortened by 14.5 inches. Features included full weather protection with scissor doors and a removable targa roof. Meyers sold around 200 SR models with more being made by successive companies who bought the moulds after BF Meyers shut down.

Designed by Freeman Thomas, whose résumé includes the Volkswagen New Beetle and the original Audi TT, the Meyers Manx 2.0 retains much of the original look with some modern updates such as LED lighting.
