Today, this Tuesday, October 10, 2023, is not just any Today, Tuesday, October 10, 2023. No, this particular Today is actually World Mental Day, 2023, an initiative led by the World Health Organization. The theme for this year's event is simple, but powerful: mental health is a universal human right. But let's face it, y'all knew that anyway. Mental health is a universal human right. This means everyone, whoever they are, of every community, and wherever they may be, should have the right to the best available standard of mental health. What they should have is the right to be protected from mental health risks and access to the best quality care.
We know this, yet we still have a long way to go. And too many go without what is their right. With that in mind, let's mark today's World Mental Health Day like only Tumblr knows how, work towards making these seven words a reality, and celebrate how far you've come. You'll go further still. You've got this.
