BUT IM JUST THINKING ABOUT IN THE MOMENT OF IT ALL bc in the same chapter #ww asks for a chance for tomorrow and then gets news of earth ships coming. in this same arc vash is thinking of all the things he needs to #resolve so his home doesn't get attacked so the people he love doesn't have to die and the humans he wants to protect gets to live.#i feel like deep down they both semi-recognize that it can't be this easy and regardless of earth ships coming- there's still a wait for #them to arrive and they have to hold out. and regardless ww still has a mission to follow through and vash knows knives would find out #but in that mood of celebration the entire ship brought in - they can at least let themselves relax for a moment and indulge #how they basically engaged with no violence for the few days they were on that ship coaxing them into domesticity... i feel like their #thoughts would wander to somewhere soft and all #allowing them to push aside the tiptoeing and tenseness and be sweet for a night #ruporas art

Random but I have a theory of a scene that can happen down the line: when Sand finally break it off and Ray tries to get back with him (“I won’t let you walk away”), Ray is gonna become frantic and in a desperate attempt he is gonna offer Sand money again and it’s not gonna go over well. I can SO see it happen

The way I can just imagine how Sand’s face would fall is just…too painful. I guess that would reaffirm that he’s right to walk away though if Ray thinks he can be so easily bought. The money thing worked before the feelings were involved, but now it’s just an insult. Reminds me of the “You think I have no dignity?” line from the OST video. Also, the “If I’m interested, I do it for free” line from Ep2. Sand cares about money for his own survival, but real feelings go way beyond that.

Not to mention this entire scenario would just prove how much of a burden Ray feels like he is, like his wealth is the only thing he has to offer. In Ray’s mind, it would reiterate that he isn’t someone worth loving, that who he truly is isn’t good enough. Perhaps even the thought of Sand loving him is unfathomable.

I honestly can’t decide if I personally think this situation is likely to happen or not, but I do know that the mere thought is a knife to the heart. It’s demoralizing for both of them.

I love your headcannon on how Miles would improve his bioelectric powers! Do you have any headcannons for his camouflage powers? Or ways he would go about improving his overall stealth without those powers so when he eventually does use them his literally undetectable?

I am glad that my rambling made sense to you! What I have to say beforehand is that I know Miles from the movies and the ps4 game. So I am aware that most of my theories and headcanons are utter bullshit. But anyway:

The special thing about Miles's camouflage is that it doesn't come from the bite. It's a mutation from his mother's side of the family that awoke due to the electric shock he got from getting his powers.

(Why? Because I think that it would be funny if his most "spiderlike" power didn't come from the spider bite)

As such, his powers don't get along.

The camouflage concentrates on flight instincts, whilst his lightning powers and inhumane strength are on his fight instincts.

It doesn't help that his spider senses are constantly screaming at him, leading to him being under constant voltage or just straight up disappearing.

(Hence why it's so dangerous when he gets a panic attack. He will electrocute you if you get to close and you will only be able to see him flickering in and out of reality. )

So for him to "master" his camouflage powers he first has to master his spider powers.

After that, it's quite easy for him, especially since he is an artist.

It has less to do with how good he is at copying his surroundings and a lot more to do with how well he can "composition" himself into the picture.

Because Miles "silicone valley" vibes are just *that* strong.

You have to think of his lightning powers as a second heartbeat. It's a constant buzzing through his body that will only stop when his actual heart stops.

But you can train your heart with Endurance sports, sinking your blood pressure and heart rate and that is what Miles did with his powers.

Not only did it power up his control over it, the damage he could do with it, how much he can store, and how long he can use it, but it also dialed down his accidental output and with that his vibes.

(The rest of his spider powers can also be related to other organs and body parts. )

He also took a few dance lessons with Gwen so he'd be able to move more gracefully and quietly.

(It became a group hobby pretty quickly though. Pav took to it pretty well, whilst both Penny and Porker are disasters.)

Noir, having detective vibes, and the ability to sink into the background better than anyone else helped a lot as well.

Especially since he gets having to battle your fight/flight instincts and your spider senses, living in a war-torn world.

(Miles on the other hand took him with him to paint as a thank you. I just imagine them as close friends after everything, as he is the only adult that didn't turn his back to him)

I also want to think that Miles accidentally became more "cat-like" whenever he goes into stealth mode.

He is an apex predator and turning his flight instincts into fight ones where a big stepping stone for him.

This also means that he became a tiny heart attack for his friends because he enjoys training with them.

(He just likes to surprise them. Hobies' screams are the most high-pitched ones btw.)

Just rewatched aotc and honestly I’m in awe of how good the aliens looked especially in comparison to 2023 Star Wars aliens

#like there was clearly EFFORT put into the kaminoans they did look alien #and the detail on the geonosians was actually incredible #even background characters like Shaak Ti or Mas Amedda look good #and then in 2023 Hera Syndulla looks like her face is made of plastic Ahsoka has no montrals Thrawn looks like A Guy painted blue #god the maximum profit minimum people minimum risk business model really kills artistic expression #George Lucas’s stuff wasn’t always good but you could tell that it was made with love and care and effort every bit of it #it used cutting edge cgi that honestly isn’t even that bad today especially when compared to modern stuff and the costuming was great #and the cinematography wasn’t MCU washed out default shit #god im sorry prequels can we go back #star wars #sw aotc #aotc #star wars attack of the clones #attack of the clones
