to the anon about the scars i draw peter with (i'm not publishing your ask because there are parts i'm not sure you'd want public and since it's anonymous i can't answer you privately): you know you're welcome 👍 means a lot to me you've noticed actually. i think he's got a lil smth smth that predates the game ordeal in my mind so... makes sense really to me at least. i'm not being particularly Expansive over them i just think that. Well Yeah. happens. as for writing [about] them, i've already mentioned them in the (for now only) english peterstakh fic i've done but i don't think they'd ever be like A Focal Point or/of anything. they'd be mentioned in passing again just like in that one. i am tempted to write (about) them as like Baggage in the same way i wrote about for example rubin's from The War but i'm always trying to decipher how/when/in what ways i could make the writing and reading of them like. Not Cringeworthy to me as well as someone who. not being expansive rn. 🤝
damn i truly wrote all of that to say nothing ANYWAYS. thank you for reaching out and i hope you're doing well/better. thank you for noticing also and You Didn't Sound Weird i prommy you were so normal i appreciate it. it is how it is, but by being the type of mfer who writes in detailed and unraveling ways i'm always faced with the. How Much Detail problem. see you around 🫂
* Never shutting up about this line because I wanna know more about Otto’s interest in magic. Where. When. Why. I wanna see his silly ass preform a trick. Just a tiny one. A card game if you will
This is “The Hat Is Empty.” Stuff it in, it’s all good.
The magician is a technical master. You do not see the rabbit in the hat. The hat is empty. But then, through surgeonesque hand gestures, the rabbit is there.
If there is a criticism of the master magician, it is that we often find ourselves—after witnessing the wizardry—asking, “Why do we care?”
