#Platonic! Hades x reader
Note
Hello! Can you do HC for Disney villains (separate) taking in a poor reader as their apprentice/ servant? How would they treat them at first? Would grow closer to them overtime? I'm not sure if you have a limit as to how many characters you take but it can be any from Ursula, Cruella, Hades, Captain Hook, Scar, and/ or Maleficent. Thank you for reading!
Of course! I don't really have a limit of characters so I'll include all in this post. In Hades and Scar Hcs I couldn't think of a servant or a apprentice so I just turned their Hcs into some Father figure ones, I hope that's not a problem '^^! And thank you for being my first request! -----[⚠]-----
♥𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞/𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭♥
💄 𝒰𝓇𝓈𝓊𝓁𝒶 💄
♥It all started one day when Flotsam and Jetsam escaped their metallic jail.
♥Ursula went outside of her cave in a search for them and then, she saw you.
♥You were a young mermaid/merman, beautiful hair, beautiful eyes, beautiful tail.
♥Also, what caught her attention was that her moray eels were surrounding you, they seemed calm and you were slightly giggling at the behavior of the eels.
♥She approached to you with a confident (and slightly evil) grin in her face and offered you to work with her.
♥You looked a bit confused that she was asking that to you, I mean, you were poor, like- very poor.
♥When you told her that you were poor she shrugged it off by saying "Your status doesn't matter to me, My beautiful eels like you and so do I, so come on".
♥Since your first day as her apprentice she treated you 10/10.
♥She taught you how to use some of her potions and how to feed Flotsam and Jetsam.
♥She usually asked you to search for "poor souls in disgrace" and to bring them to her so she could "help them"
♥Since you were poor she provided you food, letted you sleep in her cave (in a separeted room ofc) and sometimes she would gave you little things like a lipstick, a little mirror.
♥Eventually when you've already worked with her for a long time she gave you your own moray eel, wich you called Cross.
♥in summary 10/10.
🖤🤍 𝒞𝓇𝓊𝑒𝓁𝓁𝒶 🤍🖤
♥You were a normal yet poor teenager who was searching for work.
♥And then, the famous yet cruel fashion designer Cruella offered you to be her "servant".
♥That therm wasn't literal though... You took the job mostly associated to a secretary and she payed you quite well.
♥At first, Cruella was cold and direct and only talked to you to order errands.
♥She was most likely to the female boss who was capable to fire you for bringing her coffee cold.
♥And as I've said before that was at the start.
♥As time passed by she started to be less distant and occasionally would have a conversation with you.
♥In one of those conversations your economic status slipped through your lips.
♥Cruella didn't seem to care much about you being poor.
♥As long as you do your job well and efficiently she will be happy with you.
♥ in summary 7/10.
💀 𝓗𝓪𝓭𝓮𝓼 💀
♥You were only a 13 year old when Hades found your lost soul roaming the "alive's world".
♥Your soul seemed to be attached to something in the human world that make you impossible to totally leave that world.
♥He took you to where he was staying with Pain, Panic and Meg while trying to defeat (mostly kill-) Hércules and you got to stay there.
♥You were a soul yet you could be seen by other people and felt physically thanks to some "dark magic" that Hades did.
♥And since so on you became part of his plan to kill defeat Hércules.
♥Like you can guess, His plan never got to work right, and you had to up to all his fury because of that.
♥His fury lasted for about 3 months or so and after that the thought of having your company didn't sound that bad...
♥So as soon as his fury calmed down a little he became to open up a bit to you and you did the same as well.
♥After one or two weeks of succesful comunication between you two Hades asked you a question.
♥"Why were you roaming the alive's world kiddo?"
♥Your response was somewhat triggering.
♥"I losed the motivation to live so I sleeped in... after that I regreted my choice"
♥Hades usually playful expresion desappeared for a moment after he noded with his head, fully understanding the situation.
♥But after that nod his playful expression and atitude came back and so on you became like the daughter that he never had.
♥He didn't act so much of a responsible parent but surely he was your father figure.
♥In summary 8/10.
🏴‍☠ 𝓒𝓪𝓹𝓽𝓪𝓲𝓷 𝓗𝓸𝓸𝓴 🏴‍☠
♥You... didn't agree on being on that boat.
♥The Captain's tripulation mostly kindaped you.
♥But you weren't going to deny that you liked being there.
♥I mean, they treated you well, gave you the three diary foods and you had your own room!
♥You were poor so this new lifestyle was full of luxuries compared to your life before.
♥You were brought there to be some kind of "servant" or mainly to help the Captain of the boat with his daily "chores"
♥You were there to help him with coordenades, to wash and remend his clothes, to kick Tic Tac out when he attempted to eat the rest of Captain Hook and to keep him company mostly.
♥It surely was a somewhat a sexist job but you were okay with it.
♥I mean, Captain Hook was a gentleman with you, he treated you very well and talked with you openly when you were in his room doing any chore.
♥Surely you found funny the fact that his rival was a red-haired boy that did not traspase the age of 13, but you shut your mouth and didn't tease him about it.
♥Other thing that was funny was that you had to save him once or twice of getting eaten by Tic Tac.
♥The only member of the pirate crew that you got along with was Smee.
♥He was kind and understanding towards you and you found very sweet the way that he treated Captain Hook like a child sometimes.
♥In summary 100/10.
🦁 𝓢𝓬𝓪𝓻🦁
♥You were a lost lion pup wandering through the woods.
♥You were hungry and scared but you didn't plan to go "home".
♥If you can call home the place where you were mostly forgotten by your dad only to be replaced by your little sister.
♥Altough you didn't blamed or hated her for that, cause it wasn't her fault or her ask to become your replacement.
♥So now you planed to stay there in the safety of the woods.
♥Or that was the plan 'til you began to hear a male and deep voice getting closer to you.
♥After a few seconds of frustated rambling from the male voice you finally saw who was talking.
♥It was a male adult lion, his skin was a dark orange and his mane was completely dark, his eyes where a glowing and hipnotic green and he had a scar in his left eye.
♥You were looking at him with curios and wide eyes and at some point of his frustrated rambling his eyes locked on yours.
♥The eye contact continued for 4-5 seconds until he shook his head and he approached to you.
♥"Well, are you lost there pup?"
♥He asked with a raised eyebrow and a smile.
♥You shook your head "no" and then explained to him that you run away from your "home" because your dad seemed to prefer your little sister.
♥Scar looked at you seeing him reflected in your situation.
♥"That situation looks familiar to me, I'm Scar by the way..."
♥He muttered before just offering you to go with him.
♥You accepted because being home with him even after you've just met him sounded better than staying in the woods and starving to die.
♥So he put you on his loin and walked you to the elephant graveyard, his home and that of all hyenas.
♥There he raised you the best he could growing to be a father figure to you.
♥Thing wich he accepted and that made his ego grow.
♥While lving with Scar and the Hyenas in the elephants graveyard you still were poor but, It's better to be poor and to have someone that to be poor alone.
♥In summary 10/10.
💜⚠ 𝓜𝓪𝓵𝓮𝓯𝓲𝓬𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓽 ⚠💜
♥You were just a 5-year-old child when it all happened
♥You were the niece/nephew of Kind Stefan and you got to be at the party in honoour of the new born Aurora.
♥The fairies were about to give Aurora their magic present when a dark and black smoke entered in the room by breaking a window.
♥There, in the smoke, appeared Maleficient.
♥You were to little to know about her and because of that you weren't scared and thought she was just one more of the guest to the party and she just made a big entrance.
♥You were to little to notice all the frightned faces of the guest and of your uncle and aunt.
♥Maleficient approached the cradle in where Aurora was resting and gave the little girl her magic "gift"
♥When she finished with the new born Aurora her eyes locked at yours, filled with inocence.
♥She got up from her crowded possition (because she was looking into the cradle before) and got closer to you.
♥Your uncle tried to reach to you and put you away from the horned woman, but it didn't work, Maleficient was way more faster and she took you in her arms armiring how naive and pure you were.
♥An evil grinn spread across her face and everyone in the room knew that this was giong to be the last time they were going to see you.
♥Maleficient smiled evily and looked at the King and the Queen.
♥"I'm going to take this child with me, because I know you love her Stefan"
♥Was all that the woman said before disappearing envolved in that black smoke with you in her arms.
♥For the next years she raised you as her apprentice, teaching you all about black magic and stucking bad ideas at your mind.
♥The form of raising you was incredibly good, I mean, she gave you food, an own room, toys to play with, clothes and drawing material.
♥Of course she bought you material to practice dark magic with her and with all the ideas she put on your head you now were quite far of your 5-year-old version.
♥Now there wasn't any remains of that naive and/or innocent you, no, now you were evil, manipulative and had only one idea in mind.
♥To be the second evilest person in the planet, 'cause your teacher will always be the evilest person.
♥And yes, she told you that she "kidnaped" you that day in middle of Aurora's party, but you don't really care anymore 'cause you lived in good conditions with her and she treated you with respect, so you were alright with your "kidnaping"
♥In summary, 8/10.
-----[⚠]-----
I'm sorry this took to long '^^ (I was running out of ideas when it came the turn for Maleficient)
I hope you like it! Also I want to tell you that you can request some more stuff if ya want, 'cause I have 0 inspiration right now xD.

Yandere Self Aware Hades (Hades 2018)
Tumblr media
So I'm about 5~8 completed escapes in, so please don't spoil anything for much later into the game. If you're worried, please just label your request as potential spoilers when sending them in.
Also this is written from the perspective of the characters, not you the player, so they're rationalizing you as some sort of omnipresence.
masterlist
---
Zagreus first felt you when his escape attempts started, leaving the house for the first time in a mad dash, feeling something deep pulse beneath him that was even greater than the deep beating of his heart. It was harsh, and strange, but warm and welcoming. At first, he didn't know what to do, accept the feeling and move on, or reject in, and suffer the unknown consequences.
But, strangely, you gave him a feeling of strength, even after he was brought down time and time again by his father henchmen, the feeling never went away. And eventually, he excepted you, and recognized you as something deeper. You weren't just a feeling, you were a companion of sorts, like his distant relatives, you were there, aiding him on his journey, and he couldn't be more thankful.
HIs feelings started off small, but grew as he felt you more and more within him. He began to crave your presence, despising anytime when you weren't there with him. Eventually, he began to notice when he'd be most likely to feel you, waiting patiently for you so he could attempt to escape once more, when he's at his strongest.
You must've been rubbing off onto his relatives, because slowly but surely, they began to notice you as well. Whenever Zagreus would pick up a boon, they would mention feeling something stirring within him, fueling his escape attempts. Depending on who it was, their words were more or less straight forward, but it wasn't like Zagreus could explain anything to them. Deep down, he wished he could've kept you to himself sooner, but the Gods were smart, so there was no hiding you from them.
And Zagreus soon came to learn that their was no hiding you from the others of the house, whether it was Orpheus, Achilles, or even his father, they all began to notice something change with him. Achilles was the first to bring this up with the prince, asking him who he was talking to when coming out of the pool of styx. Zagreus didn't have the heart to lie to Achilles, as spoke about you for the first time. For some reason, this made you more real to Zagreus, and in a way, solidified your fate as an obsession to Zagreus.
Zagreus often found himself wondering who you were, and his wondering often escaped his mind and exited his mouth, making him wonder if you could somehow hear him. He speaks to you often, mostly during escape attempts, but gets no hint that you are responding, making him wonder if his attempts are in vain. But he's reminded of his relatives, who are only able to sense a small bit of him, his presence growing stronger as he gets closer to the surface. Maybe, in a way, you're the same, maybe he could find you on the surface. That becomes his next goal in an instant. Find his mother, and then find you and thank you for the strength you've given him.
This isn't all to say that Zagreus is the only one seeking you out. The Gods upon Olympus are very curious about you, how you're able to make contact with their distant relative and leave very little of a trace. It's fascinating, but currently, with Zagreus tied to that horrible realm, there is no way of figuring anything else about you. Their only hope is to attempt to contact you through Zagreus, mentioning you when he picks up a boon. It's not much, but it's their only hope.
The people of the house also become interested in you. Some, like Megaera and Thanatos are more weary of you, believing you are something attempting to manipulate Zagreus, even though nothing of the sort has proven to be so. Others, like Orpheus and Hypnos are more welcoming to you, asking many questions to both Zagreus and you directly.
Even Chaos, the oldest being known to all mankind, is curious of your presence. They can sense something in you, something they're not even sure Zagreus is even aware of. It's funny, in a way, watching the Son of Hades attempt to find you, figure out who are, only for you to not be of this world. They wonders how long it'll take for him to dive himself mad from obsession, and it if it's already completely consumed him.
Once Hades gained awareness of you, he attempted to snuff you out from his son's mind. He thought you were a distraction, fueling his son's frivolous attempts at escaping his realm. He realized it wasn't going to be easy, nothing was easy with his stubborn son. But he hoped that if he was able to rid you from Zagreus's mind, that he'd forget about his hopeless quest of finding his mother.
However, eventually Zagreus slays his father, leaving his realm and entering into the cold, strange land of Greece, were he's able to find his mother, Persephone, but there were no signs of you. He could feel you as he entered his mother's hidden abode, but he knew you were no where to be found. And as he collapsed and reentered his home from the pool of styx once more, he knew he would have to continue his journey. He felt you, you were real, and he would die over and over and over again if it meant that one day he'd ba able to find you.
---
A/n: don't wonder how I got this out so fast, this has been boiling within me for so long. I really hope you enjoy it.

Dark! Percy Jackson Reverse Harem x Reader|| Chapter Four
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
<<< Chapter Three
You tried to fight them with your hardest, but you barely land hits on any of them.
But the sword is hard for you to handle and your hits are sloppy.
In the end, you got injured.
No, Ares's children didn't harm you, you cut yourself up with the sword by accident.
However, Percy fought them all off and your team won capture the flag.
Annabeth shoved Percy in the water where your doubts were confirmed as Poseidon claimed him as his son.
After the game, Chiron called you over to give you a letter from your mother.
For some reason you were so scared to open it, feeling like your mother was declaring in the letter that she disowns you and doesn't want to see you ever again.
But, it is the opposite of that.
My Sweet Angel,
I apologize for appearing like a coward, but I needed to get you to the camp.
However...I couldn't bring myself to enter the place because it brought bad memories for me.
I hate it, but I know it's necessary for your safety.
And you must understand that I would never be ashamed of you, I'm quiet proud of you.
After all, I was in your position when I was young.
PS. Your stepfather sends you his love and will prepare you all of your favorite food when you return home.
From your beloved mother,
Calista
You let out a happy laugh, finally feeling at ease that you misunderstood the whole situation.
Your mother loves you, but wait...
...She is a demigod.
But what do that make you?
Also who is her godly parent.
You will ask Chiron about it later, he must know who he is.
Suddenly you hear knocking on the front of your cabin door, you go to open it only to see Annabeth.
You smile at her cheerful and shyly but invite her inside.
Once she is inside, you begin apologizing.
"I'm sorry about my performance, I swear I tried my best but-"
She cuts you off.
"No need to worry, you did amazing on your first try"
Your expression brightens up.
"Thank you"
"No problem, girls stick together, am I right?" Annabeth says with a smile.
"Yes...would you like to stay over and chit chat for a bit?"
"Sure!"
And that's how you made a first female best friend in camp.
°°°
"I chose you for the quest, you cannot say no to it"
"Well, the quest is going to fail, did you not see my fighting skill? It's horrible!"
Percy as usual barged into your cabin to inform you of the quest.
"Come on, Grover and Annabeth will be there too, there is nothing to fear"
Your eyes grow big upon hearing the name 'Grover'  as a smile appears on your face.
"Grover is here? Is he also a demigod?"
°°°
"You are a Satyr?"
You tilt your head, looking down at the tan skinned boy's legs.
"Yes...weird, I know"
"No, it's not weird at all, actually it is kind of cute" you say.
Grover smiles and blushes but Percy walks between you both, to break the nearness.
"We need to focus on the quest" Percy asserts with jealousy.
"Is that Thalia?" you ask Annabeth as she says goodbye to the tree.
"Yes"
"She’s really gonna miss that tree, huh?"
Percy says sarcastically, looking with envy as you interact with Annabeth, also patting the tree gently, saying something he can't hear.
He doesn't want you to interact with anyone.
If he can lock you up, he will do it.
"When Annabeth first arrived here with Thalia and Luke, they were being chased by monsters. Agents of Hades. Sisters. Furies."
"Mrs. Dodds?" Percy points out.
"Yes! One was our algebra teacher. Alecto. Thalia turned back to fight to buy her friends some time. Her satyr protector tried to stop her, but she wouldn’t listen. So, at the last moment... Zeus intervened to save her life and... changed her form."
"The most powerful being in the universe’s best idea to save his daughter’s life... was to turn her into a tree?"
Percy mocks after his friend finishes explaining as you and Annabeth walk back to them.
"She was the bravest demigod I ever knew. She fought valiantly, and she met a hero’s fate." Annabeth defends.
"She met a pinecone’s fate."
"Percy" you exclaim, piniching his arm.
"What? I'm telling the truth"
You sigh in anger, before turning to Annabeth with a gentle expression and say.
"If I ever meet Zeus, I'm going to give him a piece of my mind"
Grover nods his head slowly at you.
"Yeah, so he can strike you down with lighting bolt"
"Can't strike me down with something he lost"
You say playfully walking ahead of them.
"She is going to get us killed" Annabeth mutter
"And I don't mind dying for her" Percy respond firmly, following after you like a lovesick puppy.
°°°
Calista walks around the house, cleaning every corner and making sure everything is in order.
She developed an OCD, ever since she became pregnant with her only daughter, you.
The demigod woman feared that all her past relationships with the gods might come back and slap her in the face through you.
She would die if something happened to you, that's why she thought it was the best decision to send you to Camp Half-Blood.
While doing house work, the doorbell rings, she walk over to the front door and opens it.
But once she sees who is on the other side, she tries to close it, but the person stops her and shoves his way in.
"This is no good way to greet me, young lady"
"What are you doing here?" Calista demands in fear.
"Well, I came to take you back to the underworld"
Hades answers back with a smirk.
"I'm not going anywhere, my daughter-"
"Don't worry, I sent someone to get her, so we can all become a big happy family"

Pletonic yandere with Disney Hades
Will be nice to have a sassy dad
Tumblr media
Yandere Father Hades
“Come on Megara, all you got to say is that I’m going to some siren soiree you know. I just know he’s going to ask you before anything and it’ll give me enough time to–”
“Fat chance, Spitfire. You’re daddy’s going to sniff you out faster than Cereberus and we all know how that ended last time.”
You sucked your teeth as you know her words are true. While the embarrassment that came with your father crashing every Olympian party you so much as thought about attending. But you had to go this time, you just had to.
“But Meg…Perseus will be there…”
She groaned bookmarking a page in her book and closing it to look at you earnestly. Recognizing that longing look in your eyes, she painfully sighs as she grasps your hands.
“(Y/n) the thing about love is that it's…not guaranteed and wouldn’t you want to save your freedom for something that will promise your happiness.”
You knew what she was getting at and you had nothing to protest. Perseus may have invited you but you doubted he actually remembered you. Let alone would really notice you’re intentions towards him. Sinking your head and pulling from Meg’s hands you slowly stood.
“I-I guess you’re right.” You turned away mopily leaning on the exit of the room, “I’ll see you around Meg.”
She could only worriedly sigh as she watched you drag yourself out the room. Her look of sincerity and sorrow morphed; scrunching into a disatistied frown she turned the side of her cheek to the darkest corner behind her.
“Happy?”
From the darkness a blue fire ignited resting atop the head of none other than Hades. With a spikey toothed smile the deity of death emerged from the shadows with spirits high.
“You know what? I am! Ta think all it took to get them to behave was a brokenhearted–”
“Yeah. Yeah, well maybe if you let them live a little they wouldn’t treat you like the plague itself.”
“Meg, meg, meg! I’m sure you can’t tell but I’m their parent and what experience do you have raising a little bundle on your own?”
“...”
“Come on! Come on!”
“...none.”
“NONE! That’s right! Zilch, Nada!”
“Whatever just don’t go blowing up the underworld when they explode at you.”
“Yeah? And how much do you want to be-”
Suddenly the distant calls from Panic and Pain rang throughout the hall, before they stumbled in.
“Sir! S-sir!”
“M-master! (Y/n) took the chariot–”
“-and t-they released Cerberus as well!”
Exactly as they expected an angry beam of red hot fire shot off his head as his face contorted to one of pure rage. Meg stepped away from him letting her lips stretch into a knowing smirk as she crossed her arms.
“WHAT?!”
“T-they i-interrupted our cleaning it–”
“Yeah sayin’ something about not living forever?”
Meg snickered. “What’d I tell ya?”
He shot a glare towards her before grasping the heads and horns of Pain and Panic. Veins popping from his forehead and heat permeating from his hands, he let out a pent up scream. Shriveling in response the imps bore the pain of his raging flames.
“AAAAAAAGGHHH!”
“HOT! HOT! HOT!HOT!”
Meg rolled her eyes holding her hands over her ears, waiting until his eventual cool down. In a puff of air he released his servants and ran a hand through his azure flamed hair.
“Alright Im cool, I’m cool again. We just need to know where they're going.”
“We don’t know Master!”
“M-m-maybe they went to a park or something?”
“I’m thinking our dearest Nutmeg knows the answer to that!”
She groaned as Hades squeezed her shoulders and mockingly nuzzled his cheek into hers. Pulling away she looked behind her to see a dark look on the lord of death’s face. She fought her desire to shakily sigh before spilling what she knew–she hoped you were doing what you needed to do.
_____________________________________________
Arriving on the chariot of death to a Solcist party was the coolest entrance you could have had. And as much as you wished you could dally you needed to find Perseus–to tell him how you felt. Pushing past the other party-goers still guffawing at your arrival you made your way into the heat of the gathering already feeling the tightness of bodies dancing next to one another.
You could smell the power of your cousin Eros wafting through the air. It gave you a sense of urgency as you searched for the one you were looking for.
“(Y/n)?”
Perfect timing. You turned to the hero, expecting to see him as handsome as the day you met him only to stagger at the sight.
On his arm was Andromeda, the ethiopian princess he’d recently saved. In turn he was leaning into her, a visual intimacy between the two that really made them stand out.
“H-hey Perseus, Andromeda.”
“So happy you could make it, we’ve heard great things about you-”
He kept talking and all you could do was blindly nod your head and wave off his compliments. Watching painfully as they disappeared into the crowd, seemingly sneaking off to make out in a corner somewhere.
It hurt.
It hurt a lot.
But you didn’t want to leave. In fact you wanted to party. Party so hard you’d see no end in sight. To forget about that pain, to replace it with something sweeter for the time being. You’d deal with the pain later but for the time being…
“I think its a good time to call those…flower lovers…what are they? The lotus eaters?”
_____________________________________________________
When Hades finally arrived to the right party spot, he’d fully expected its attendees to run in terror. After all he arrived on the back of a drooling and searching Cerberous but the only reaction was the distant coos of some few who seemed to notice them.
“Aww what a cute puppy!”
“Here give ‘em a flower!”
“Give them three.”
Hades scrunched his nose, practically suffocating by the sent of intoxication and the lotus’ influence. Slipping offf Cereberus’ back he walked past the intoxicated guests. He didn’t mind the way the giant dog(s) accepted the flowers offered to them as well as the humans feeding them as snacks.
“Saves me a cow or two.”
Entering the andron, he shoved past the different intoxicated humans and demi-humans in search of a familiar head. Even as he pulled at familiar looking partiers and stomped through different rooms he found no sign of his little flame. Feeling close enough to burn the property to the ground he quieted as he recognized your silhouette in the moonlight.
Sitting idly on a bench you were too occupied removing the seeds of your pomegranate to properly acknowledge your fatherl.
“Hey, you! You look like your having the time of your life too bad I’m here to cut it short! Eh?!”
He put his hands out as he finished his punchline to which you sent a single look his way. Deflated Hades plops himself next to you looking into your lap and then at your face.
“Sooo is this what you’re like with lotus in your system? A total buzzkill?”
He frowned deeper when you all but sighed as you continued to pick out the seeds of your fruit.
“I already had two of the lotus flowers…but that was a while ago.”
“Than what in my name are you doing here?”
He watched your eyes look to the side towards a couple that were drunkenly clinging to one another; that was all he needed.
“Uhh no reason.”
He didn’t seem convinced. But when you gave him that adorable pout he figured he could wait before exacting their comeuppance for putting Hades baby in a state of unease. Kirking his mouth into a smile as he pulled you into him.
“C’mon kid what’d do ya say we blow this popsicle stand? Eternity’s still young and the dead won’t stop coming anyway!”
You chuckled, “What’d we even do?”
“Well I’ve been hearing rumors of Thebes having a new hero, figured we send a hydra or two over for a…welcoming gift.”
“That sounds cruel….I’m in!”
“Yes! Now where’s the chariot?”
“Right, about that that’s a f-funny story–”
“Kid you’re killin’ me here!”
_____________________________________________
The day had come and Meg couldn’t help but smirk at the sight. Sleeping soundly in your room surrounded by the armor of the now fallen hero. Not to mention the other various artifacts you clutching onto in your sleep.
“All tuckered out. I’d say you weren’t half as bad as a dog but I know you too well for that.”
“Think what you may the title of #1 Daddyio belongs to me. Speaking of I have a job for you Meg.”
He handed her a device, it looked strange but he snatched it out of her hands to shove on her face; clouding her vision.
“Ah what are these things?”
“The cool kids are callin’ them: sunglasses! Anyway, there’s this guy with a gorgon’s head and I need him dead.”

Sibling rivals, sibling allies
Masterlist
Nico Di Angelo x Hades! reader (platonic) Summary: Nico was aware his sibling loved him, to the point that lectures were inevitable. Warning: Angst, Siblings written by an only child, no use of y/n Author note: English is not my first language so I am sorry for any mistakes beforehand. I am not very good at angst so I hope I did this some justice. I also tried to make it gender-neutral as the request did not specify, however, this is my first time writing like that so I am sorry if I missed anything.  Sibling rivalry was something everyone expected when having more than one child. And who especially expected it were the Greek gods. They even encouraged it. Sadly, for Hades, his children got along and refused to fight each other.
Usually, Nico would play mythomagic with them or just lazily exist in the camp. Only a few people would talk to him. But he is used to it now. That's why he was confused when they ran into the Hades cabin and suggested training with said two. He agreed nonetheless, not wanting to disappoint his last older sibling, and he also thought Percy was okay-ish.
That is why he was standing in the area, watching them absolutely beat Percy's ass. Annabeth was standing beside him but did not look very happy about what was happening. He can't blame her, he would not be either if the roles were reversed. Also, the Hades children weren't really known for their good temper, so it made sense.
So when Percy tapped out, he wasn't surprised. However, the girl next to him made her way to help her friend up.
“Close your mouth, flies gonna take it as an invite.” They said, slightly tapping his chin to close it. Nico glared at them but did not argue. they were covered in sweat and breathing heavily. Nico was sure it was from the sun, not the fight, as he dubs Percy would give it much. If anything they more likely only tickled each other with swords. Although he was warned, that activity can cause accidental stab wounds and immediate visit to the infirmary.
The other two campers joined them. Percy bleeding from his scratches and Annabeth frowns on her face. He knew it was his turn now. That's what they agreed on. He did not think putting him, a child of one of the 3, against Annabeth was fair. Granted, were it a few months back when he thought he had a crush on her, before releasing he had a crush on Percy, it would have been harder to fight her.
“Come on whip, it's our turn.” Says Annabeth and gestures her knives at him. Nico can only tighten his hold on the sword he was holding. He takes a few steps to face her.
“Annabeth.” Sounds behind him warningly. The girl in question just huffs before charging at him. He moved out of the way, but it was like she already knew his steps before him and stuck him in the leg.
He winced but kept on his feet. She charges again, but this time he manages to avoid and block her from sighting him. Annabeth did not like that. Not only she was a fast thinker, but Nico would also forget she had been trained by Luke, one of the best swordsmen in the last couple of hundred years. Annabeth strikes again and Nico has no time to even register what is going on. She slashes his Achilles. Nico yelps and falls, having no strength to put weight on his leg. Annabeth manages to get hold of his sword. She was not standing above him with the tip of his sword at his throat.
“Get up,” she says with a sinister smile. He won't admit it but he was scared for a moment. That was before Annabeth got slammed by his sibling and rolled away. Percy yelped in surprise and went to help Annabeth while the siblings helped each other.
“What the fuck was that for?” Argued Annabeth once she regained her composure.
“You immobilized him! What the fuck do you mean get up!” His sibling yelled still kneeling next to him. Nico has sat up now, trying to move his leg but when pain shot up he decided against it.
“Monsters are not gonna hold back just because he can't stand!” Annabeth was now making her way to them. Percy was trying to stop her but was very unsuccessful.
“Monster my ass Annabeth. You knew very well what-” A roar cuts her off. All of them freeze in their spots. A rustling in the trees got their attention. A distant yell is what got them moving. Nico felt four arms lifting him.
His sibling and Annabeth were trying their best to get his limping ass away from whatever there was. Percy was surveying the area when he saw it.
“Fuck.” Was all that left him. there stood, an automatic bull, as big as the house. All of their eyes widened as they tried to hurry up. unfortunately, the bull has seen them and charged at them. Nico could feel his weight bearing but only on Annabeth as his sibling went to aid Percy in trying to distract the beast. He wanted to stop them, but he was no use at the moment.
Annabeth stops and props Nico on a tree.
“What are you doing?” He hisses and she just rolls her eyes.
“I'm going to help them.” She says making sure Nico is comfortable.
“You can't leave me here.” Nico could see that she took that as a challenge. before she could leave him however they both heard Percy yell. turning their attention to him they can see a giant boulder heading their way. Nico makes eye contact with his sibling before he feels something tackling him on the ground.
“NICO” Was all he heard before the world became black.
When Nico came to his senses, he thought that perhaps, Dad pulled him aside, that maybe travelledow travelled. And Brehabs a small hope of seeing Bianca was there. However, when he heard his sibling absolutely destroying their vocal cords from the yelling, he knew he was mistaken.
Opening his eyes, above him stood a well-known Apollo kid, his name was Will or something like that. The light from his hands makes Nico turn his face away and to the side. Only to be faced with a comic view. Annabeth sitting on a bed having her hand looked after by a different Apollo kid. Percy is next to her, holding her other hand. And his sibling, going off on both of them, mostly Annabeth by the looks of it.  Annabeth's head was hung low, it was apparent that she got an earful from Percy beforehand.
Nico is enjoying the situation. Not only is he not getting reprimanded, but he is also getting taken care of by a cute guy. His freedom is shored, however, as Percy nudges the other Hades kid and points to him.
His sibling turns to him at lightning speed, when they see he's awake, they rush to him kneeling by the bed. He can see they are worried even when all of them are out of immediate danger. When they saw he was okay they jumped in for a hug. Will jumped back startled and Nico could only groan in pain. Letting him go just as quickly as they hugged him
“Sorry, I just. I just thought I would have to bargain with Dad.” They say with a smile on their face. Although tears were streaming down their faces making them look a little bit hysterical.
Nico smiled at them.
“I'm fine, I did not even see Dad.” He says, trying to reassure them that he in fact did not die and came back. They just chuckled and nodded.
They all sat in silence for a few minutes before Annabeth with Percy walked up to his bed.
“I'm sorry.” She says. Nico expected her to continue but she didn't. So Nico just nodded, taking in that they were all still startled by what happened.
Next to him, his sibling stood up. It was like a switch turned in in them. Manually they made both Percy and Annabeth sit down at the end of his bed. They took a deep breath before starting.
“I am lost for words!...”
And despite being lost for words, they continue to yell at them for the next 45 minutes. Nico would not want it any other way.

Hades with gender-neutral!Muichiro!reader headcanons
Tumblr media Tumblr media
warning: manga/anime spoilers, ooc
Special thanks to @justamegafan for the idea on this concept and @deathmetalunicorn1 as well as @enryegotrip for their feedback on it and where I could improve on it! :)
When Hades had learned that there was a prodigy amongst the ranks of the Hashira, he had been initially impressed. Ubuyashiki had designed the selection exams very carefully: in the past, the candidate had to accumulate a kill count of 50 demons or slay a member of the Upper Moon ranked demons. The requirements have now changed; the candidate must kill 70 demons plus two letters of recommendation from different Hashiras or slaughter one powerful demon while in the Bifrost and bring back proof to headquarters.
The stakes had been raised significantly, yes, though the lord of the underworld wanted the best warriors of this organization to ensure that no demons slithered their way into Valhalla and feast on the humans or gods. The heavens could not afford to survive another major catastrophe on the scales of the Titanomachy.
Hades had no doubt that the Titans and the other prisoners in Tartarus would take advantage of the chaos too, but that will be his responsibility to handle. The Demon Slayers will only be in charge of monitoring the Bifrost and demon extermination, nothing more.
Upon meeting the prodigy in person, Hades was…slightly disturbed at seeing a child no older than fourteen summers kneeling on the floor at Ubuyashiki’s left side, staring at him with a bored expression and dressed in the standard Demon Slayer’s uniform. The head of the organization reassured him that this is not a joke, as [First Name] [Last Name] have proven themselves to be worthy of being a Hashira.
Still…this little one became the Mist Hashira two months after picking up a sword, right after passing the Final Selection Exam? The leaps and bounds that they made…it was unusual. Hades had seen and heard many demigods become powerful in such a short time span…yet that should not happen to a mortal soul.
What drove this child to even become a Hashira? What was their goal? When Hades asked them this question, all they said was to kill every last demon that dared to try to come into Valhalla. And protect Master Ubuyashiki. Protecting him and his family was a top priority to the Hashiras.
Hades raised an eyebrow at them before glancing at the smiling man. “Are you absolutely sure that you want this child to monitor the Bifrost? It is not a playground nor a post to be taken lightly -”
“Shaddup.”
“Excuse me?”
“I said ‘shaddup’. Do you really think the Master would risk sending the Demon Slayers to the front lines if he hadn’t considered every possible option? The Master might have upped the requirements to become a Hashira, but he knows us better than a puppeteer who lurks in the shadows. If he didn’t believe I was ready, even when I fulfilled the necessary requirements, he would have said so.” Their face remained neutral but their tone steadily grew darker with anger. “Do not treat Lord Ubuyashiki as if he is your subordinate. He is your equal. Without him, you would not have us to ensure Valhalla’s protection nor have the knowledge to kill demons. You and the other gods would still be scrambling for a half-assed solution, putting everyone in danger due to your incompetence -”
“[First Name], that is enough.”
Hades was speechless at the mortal’s blatant disrespect towards him, a god, and shocked as to how they immediately went silent at Ubuyashiki’s soft command. The family head apologized for his subordinate’s actions, as it is his responsibility to look after the children. He will punish them as seen fit.
His words satisfied Hades’ bubbling anger, knowing Kagaya was a competent leader. Their meeting soon concluded, and a guard escorted them back to Valhalla. Left alone in the audience chamber, the lord of the underworld pondered on the events that just happened. He is curious by nature, and he is curious about the Mist Hashira’s behavior towards him.
Did they simply dislike him? Or did they dislike all gods? Perhaps…they are just rude to anyone who wasn’t Ubuyashiki? Hades hummed thoughtfully to himself. He would look into it. There had to be a reason why a disrespectful  brat like that became a Hashira.
Over the next several years, the lord of the underworld continued to meet with Ubuyashiki as the Demon Slayer Corps flourished secretly in Valhalla. Kakushi were dispatched to gather intel on demon sightings, and the Hashira would go and exterminate them. Those individuals who were the lower ranks would also assist in such cases via communications with a crow messenger.
At every meeting, he saw the Mist Hashira amongst the summoned soldiers with a dreamy-eyed expression on their face as they stared up at the clouds, not paying attention to their surroundings…or so it seemed. Hades tried to speak to them, but they had no interest whatsoever unless Ubuyashiki gently nudged them into his direction, if at least to be polite.
One day after a conference had been concluded, the mortal asked him to stay so that they could have a private conversation. Once his children closed the paper doors behind them, the family head spoke to him.
He addressed the lord of the underworld, thanking him for his time and support in the organization’s growth. The Hashira were all unique, originating from different circumstances and all talented in their own way. [First Name] is no exception…though perhaps he might have been too soft on the Mist Hashira.
After all, it was he and his wife who found them that day in the mountains…the remaining descendants of a Demon Slayer’s bloodline.
[First Name] and their older twin brother, Yuichiro, had lived a simple life as the children of a woodcutter and his wife until their untimely passing. The Ubuyashiki knew their true lineage, and offered help more than once. Yuichiro kept rejecting them. When his wife, Amane, had gone to check on them with food and medicine with their daughters, they stumbled upon the sight of the twins drowning in blood. Yuichiro was already dead, [First Name] barely hung on by a mere thread as his family worked quickly to save their life. In doing so, they lost their memory of who they were.
Ubuyashiki had faith that they would remember though. Memories cannot be reclaimed in a single night, of course. Their mindset, however, mustn’t be inflexible. They still need to learn from others, understand people. By doing so, they will relearn empathy and kindness. Perhaps…they could become the kind, gentle person they once were, even if it cannot bring back their brother.
Hades’ anger towards the brat evaporated as their tragic tale rang in his mind. He knew better than anyone just how many mortal souls came to his kingdom or Valhalla, wailing their lamentations and how they wished they should have changed their fates before death came to claim them. [First Name] had his sympathies.
Perhaps…he’ll try to be a little more understanding himself. Persephone always told him the best way to apologize is with flowers, because their language could speak to the receiver in more ways than one.
Bonus Content:
[First Name] was extremely confused as to why the lord of the underworld suddenly gave them a white tulip out of the blue and had to ask Shinobu the meaning behind it. When learning it meant a roundabout way of saying “I am sorry”, they just looked at the flower.
Why was Hades sorry? Had they met somewhere before?

Hello! Your writing is really good! can I request yandere platonic Hades and Persephone with a daughter reader who had escaped for being ignored and lives with her grandmother demeter(platonic yandere) who gives her all the necessary love and teaches her to use her powers that are the same as persephone's but her appearance is that of her father.
Perhaps, they want their daughter back who she doesn't want to leave and just before taking her away, demeter prevents them saying that zeus allows her granddaughter to stay with her and be her apprentice
I don't know if it could be possible
Thanks!
"My consolation of sadness is you, little seed." - Demeter.
❝🌾— lady l: Okay, here it is, anon. I was in doubt whether to make an imagine or an hc, but I ended up making it in the form of hc's, I hope it's fine :) this is basically a yandere grandmother who has become as obsessed with her granddaughter as she was with her beloved daughter, but perhaps her obsession with the reader is even stronger… Ah, and thanks for the compliment, I really appreciate <3
❝🌾 tw: yandere themes in general, such as murder, mention of murder, implicit torture, obsessive and possessive behavior, unhealthy platonic relationships and mention of blood.
Tumblr media
When you were born, Demeter didn't think much about it. If anything, it's the fury she still felt at having her beloved daughter taken from her, then she held a strong grudge against you, even though she hasn't met you yet. Your birth was just a constant reminder of what had been taken from her.
So she remained distant for many years, not only because of her resentment towards you, but the fact that you lived in the underworld with your parents made it difficult for her to get close to you.
But everything changed one day, when you, tired of being neglected by your parents, found a way to escape the underworld when you were still just a small child. Nobody is quite sure how you managed to get out of there, maybe Cerberus helped you or Charon, but none of that really mattered, you just wanted to get out of that place and you did.
Demeter was seeding a small field when, coincidentally or not, that's where you showed up. It's an understatement to say she was transfixed when she finally recognized you, she had never seen you in her life but she knew who you were. Your pale appearance was identical to her most hated god, Hades. And you were his daughter, with her beloved daughter Persephone.
She wasn't quite sure how to react to your sudden appearance. The goddess for many years denied your existence and even hated you and yet, there you were, young and helpless. She felt she had to do something, no, she knew she had to do something. And she had two options: take you back to your parents or take care of you.
Demeter is the very definition of a loving and protective grandmother. When she took you with her, it didn't take long for her to develop affections for you that turned into an unhealthy obsession, you were her dear and beloved granddaughter. She would deny any rumor or claim that she hated you or denied you, none of that was true anymore, because now, the goddess loved you so deeply.
She hates to see traces of Hades in you. She hates how you look like your father. Demeter will do everything in her power to ensure that you grow up to be lovely and gentle, unlike your father. She doesn't want a mini Hades, so you can be sure that the only thing you'll have in common with him will just be his looks because the rest, depending on your grandmother, will be either identical or based on Persephone.
She loves you, perhaps even more than she ever loved her daughter, you are her dear and favorite granddaughter. You can ask Demeter for anything and she will grant your wishes, she wants you smiling all the time and if the best way to get that is by pampering you immensely so be it.
Demeter will teach you everything she knows, even if you don't like or aren't interested in agriculture, she will still be inflexible about wanting you to learn about what she does. She doesn't want you to be too different from her, so she will force her interests on you. You'll end up liking it, she's sure of it.
When you developed your powers, she was delighted to realize that you had the exact powers of Persephone. You were just perfect, weren't you? Except for the fact that you were equal to Hades in appearance, the rest of you reminded you of Persephone. Her personality, her kind gaze and now her powers. It was like she was getting a second chance, a second chance to raise a perfect ''daughter'', but this time, Demeter won't let anyone take you away from her. She won't make the same mistake twice.
You get all of Demeter's love and devotion, she loves you deeply, to the point of possessiveness. You are not allowed to walk away from her, if you walk away from her even for just a few minutes, she will panic. The thought that you might have gotten lost or someone kidnapped you sends her into a frenzy. When you are back in the safe and possessive arms of the goddess, she will scold you and drown you in hugs. You should never walk away from her, what if something or some bad person wants to hurt you or take you away from her? She can't have that happen, she won't let that happen.
Now, if Hades and Persephone want you back, we're in trouble. Demeter doesn't want to and won't give you back to them, and honestly, why should she do that? They just neglected you, that's what made you go to your beloved grandmother, and you were happy and being well taken care of by Demeter, so again, why should she give you back to your parents?
She would ignore all the demands of her daughter and son-in-law. She doesn't care about they words, nothing mattered more to her than you. But if things got more and more complicated, Demeter would go to Zeus. She would convince your brother that you should be with her, it's what she wants and what you want and Zeus is likely to give in to her. No one can contradict the King of Olympus, not even Hades.
Hades and Persephone can and probably will still want you back for them, but they will be ignored by Demeter. It had already been decided, you would stay with her forever. You would be pampered, cared for and loved by your grandmother and Demeter will never let you leave her.

How would 7 parents react to Yuu having a nightmare about something bad happening to them (them as in the parents)?
Great 7: Nightmares
I read so much wiki lore, please look at Evil queen's wiki and see how much wasted potential she had along with how down bad the animators were for her. I was listening to the musical of The Scarlet Pumpernickel and it gave inspiration for Qoh. A majority of these are from a mix of the live-action and animated movies along with video games, Starkid's Twisted (for scar and Ursula), and PattyCake.
Reader is GN however in QoH Part it is mentioned that some refer to you as "Madame/Lord/Liege" interchangeably and occasionally wears dresses as I believe gender norms are very different in the Hearts Kingdom given… Everything… other than that there's no description for Yuu. This is an AU where the Great 7 are in Yuu's head and are Yuu’s parents.
Jafar
You woke up in complete darkness, with no way at all to see what was in front of you. The strange floor you lay on was made of an uncomfortable metal that dug into you. The scent of damp brass hung heavy in the air, violating your nose. Just where the hell were you?
Attempting to sit up you felt your head press into a wall, not even an inch above where you rose from. Ow, okay perhaps it's just a low ceiling. A very low ceiling. Spreading your arms or legs, or rather attempting to, makes you realize you had no room to work with. No matter how many ways you push and bend your limbs, the walls refuse to budge. Arching your back made your ribs and stomach feel the damp, cool brass above you.
You started to panic in the pitch-black 'room' if you dared to even call it that. You kicked your legs as much as you could and struggled. The walls seemed to get lower and lower. You couldn't even turn your body or move your arms from your sides at some point. The metal walls made your labored and panicked breaths echo in the box you were in. The dark place so quiet you could only hear your own heartbeat and the deep breaths you took.
You couldn't move, you couldn't see. You couldn't even scream without it echoing back at you. The metal scent is all there was. Scent so strong you can practically taste it. The metal wall above your face was mildly damp from your breathing. You can't even see yourself. In that moment you knew you were trapped. You could never get out. You were all alone and stuck in here forever. It was only you and the mildly damp brass holding you down in place.
Tears started to form as you realized your fate of either losing it or starving here in this brass prison. You let out a gut-wrenching scream that cuts off once you open your eyes. You can see. Looking around you realized you were in the rickety old bed at Ramshackle, Grim softly snoring right next to you.
You sat up in a cold sweat and slipped out of bed, making your way to the bathroom. Some cold water will cool you off. 'Child, what are you doing up?' You heard some of the seven speak. 'Oh, poor thing had a nightmare.' 'It's okay we're here.' 'Staying up too late is bad for you, get back to sleep' all their voices melded together to where you can barely tell who was who. One voice stood out amongst them.
'This may have been my fault.' Jafar? You scrubbed your face with cold water and took in a few breaths. 'I think some of my memories may have bled into your dreams, diamond.' "Memories?" You voice a whisper as you ground yourself. It was quiet for a moment? And you can feel Jafar stare solemnly in the distance. 'Of my defeat.'
"When you were sealed away…" your voice trailed off. Jafar, or rather Iago, mentioned that. Sealed way by a Djinn in an oil lamp. Was that it? Jafar, the illusion of him, glanced over at you. Sharing a mind with them was a blessing at times. 'Yes, that was it. That was the damned lamp I was sealed into' you hear him curse about a damned street rat for a moment before sighing.
'I honestly thought I was going to go mad…' You frowned, recalling the feeling. Stuck in the world's smallest prison in the pitch black. Nothing but yourself unable to move an inch. For years. 'I'm sorry you had to see that, but thankfully, that reality is no more now. At least like this, I have a little freedom.' You smile a bit and nod. It never occurred to you just how awful Jafar's fate was. You took in another breath, "I'll free you all one day, I promise." 'That can wait until later, go back to bed.' You couldn't tell who that was actually, Jafar or maybe even Scar, annoyed from being awakened. You chuckle a bit then nodded.
Jafar was no longer suffering. And you promise to find all of your family a happily ever after. One step at a time though, and it was time to go to sleep. At least now the feeling of Jafar brushing your hair out of your face as you drift off puts you at ease.
Mary Elizabeth Hearts (Queen of Hearts)
Alice. Wonderland's resident troublemaker. Always sticking her nose into places it doesn't belong. Disrupting the delicately organized chaos that creates harmony in this world. That damned brat. This is all her fault.
Wonderland is a place of carefully constructed chaos that has its own set of rules. An outlander like her could never understand. What may be seen as mindless violence to one, is a necessary balance to the other. That is what your mother, Mary Elizabeth Hearts has taught you ever since you were a child. Her many wacky and mundane rules held up the very principles that the kingdom depends on. Every single rule has its purpose.
To many outside the kingdom Mary, the Queen of Hearts was a cruel and intimidating figure. To those in the kingdom, however, she was their idol, their upholder of laws. And to you, she was your beloved mother. What people failed to realize is how happy the kingdom was. With every beheading came a celebration and with every day came a new story.
Your mother's rules were poetry, the foundation on which millions of citizens relied on, and you did your damned best to uphold those rules. You were the crown child of the queen. The lord everyone bowed to. The liege everyone sang tales of. The Madame that everyone longed for and adored. The guillotine that enforced your mother's orders, beheading all those who opposed her. The civilians would idolize your blade work, and the servants would immediately get you a new change of dress or suit whenever a drop of blood stained it.
Yet despite this all, people were happy, so why? Why must she have done this? You looked over the dilapidated kingdom. From when Alice fled and brought back an army. Little did she know what "freeing" your people would do. The disrupted balance of the land ruined the lives of millions all because of her– and your mother. How could she?
Donning your mother's tattered dress and crown, you retrieved her royal battleaxe, ready to show the world just who this Madame Guillotine was. Just what His Royal Executioner could do. You would restore your kingdom. Wiping the dirt and tears off your face, you charged into the battlefield. A feeling of a hot iron piercing through you is what startles you awake.
"Little Crown? Rose? Are you alright?!" You felt the Queen shake you as much as she could as a ghost, her voice laced with concern. "Sweetheart, are you alright?" Your eyes shot wide as you looked over at her. Your shock faded as you hugged the ghost in front of you.
"You're here and you're alive… I had a dream where… Alice…" The Queen cringes at the mention of her. "There there, my little crown, I am with you. Alice isn't anywhere near us…" you hear your mother mutter under her breath. You focused on her embrace and gentle touches. You swear to her, what you'll bring her back. You will bring all of them back.
Maleficent
"No! Wait! Stop! Don't hurt her! Please, that's my mother, don't hurt her!" You pleaded, voice hoarse from crying out."Don't do this! Please! She never hurt anyone! Please!" You struggled against the magic chains that the king's soldiers held you in, the reinforced iron jingling as you struggled against it. Tears rolled down your face at the sight of your mother. Bound very much like you. Wings now stumps from the cruel king that stood in front of her.
The large jet-black dragon let out a few pitiful shrieks as the iron chains burned against her skin. The sickening smell of smoke and burnt flesh was nauseating. Your own chains didn't allow you to move at all. It sapped you of all your strength and you struggled to even keep your eyes open, you couldn't even imagine what your mother felt.
The sight of your mother's beautiful wings that she once embraced you with being torn off would forever be burned into your memory. The beating wings flapped and struggled, attempting to reunite and attach to their owner before more guards came and chained them up. The delicate scaley leather burned against the iron chains, filling the air with an awful smoke. "No!" You screamed out. "Mother! Mom!"
You dropped the formalities as you began to sob, locking on to the dragon's sad eyes through her bindings. The king— the bastard that attempted to slay your mother years ago and failed, had returned. After years of slandering her kind and fear-mongering did he raise enough troops to slay her. His hand held a fine iron blade, sharpened to the finest point there is. First, it was her wings. Now it was gonna be her head. And next, it might be you.
"MOM!!" You shrieked out, managing to pick up enough momentum to escape the grip of your captors and run to her. There was no way you would have made it. As quickly as his arm rose, it fell, and you heard the sickening screech of a dying dragon crying out. Her body began to wither and dematerialize as you stayed down on the dirt where you fell earlier. All you could do was watch the light in her eyes fade away. "Mom…"
You nearly woke up with an agonized shriek at the back of your throat. Sitting up quickly and panting, you held your head in your hands. That stupid king. That stupid fucking king. You'll never forgive him. the stories your mother told you of him. Making her fall in love only to burn off her wings. "Child? What are you doing up so late?" You heard her voice and you breathed a sigh of relief.
"I had a dream that that king came back and hurt you again…" Maleficent was quiet as she approached, her clawed hand gently wiping away a tear. "Him…" She look off into the distance and sighed at the memory. "You do not need to worry about him. I could destroy him in an instant and reclaim my wings." The fae spoke in a calm yet gentle matter-of-fact way that stabilized you.
"Plus you have the other six of us here, not counting the familiars at least" Hades spoke in his usual velvety voice. "Familiars?!" Iago screeched, "I'll have you know‐" "Silence." Jafar interrupted. "Now is not the time.
"Moms? Dads? Can you teach me some more fighting techniques tomorrow? I want to get stronger. For all of us." A carefully manicured hand brushed through your hair and you felt a large furry body press against you, either Scar or one of the hyenas. "Oh, you're so cute" "What a sweet child." The sea witch and the hearts queen coo at you. Maleficent sighs at everyone's interruptions. "Of course. We never intended to have your talents go to waste, to begin with." It was much easier to sleep after that.
Queen Grimhilde (Evil Queen)
A queen will never be as powerful as the king. She is simply there to look pretty and proper. Eye candy for the men at meetings. A pretty woman can't also be intelligent either. You are either pretty and dumb or smart but ugly. If she were both, she'd simply be too powerful and intimidating for men.
Grimhilde saw it all. If you show your personality, you will be attacked for your looks. If you look pretty, they attack your personality. Vanity is insanity unless it pleases the people around you. It's the very first thing you learn as a young girl.
Fine then. She will play the part of the dumb obedient Queen for now. No one saw the death of her husband coming. The king poisoned and fed to the panthers. No one suspected it was her, or what came next. One of the kingdom's finest rulers that held the world in a heavy hand, with you at her side.
It's funny. You remembered when you first met her. She never wanted children and was upfront with how much she disliked being stuck with you. Now here she was, appointing you as her second in command and her future successor. Strict, yet caring, she teaches you everything she knows and then some.
Daily sword fights, magic practice, potion-making, and even politics. You always looked your best. Everything should have been perfect. So why? Why did it end up like this?
'Remember young seedling, no matter how brilliant your ideas are, there are those who won't listen. To some, your appearance is everything to them.' You remember that conversation. How solemn she was. How much she was held back and harassed into always looking perfect, to be the fairest of them all, because that was the only one her kingdom would listen to. After all, surely everyone would listen to the fairest of them all?
Snow White should have been your sister. Now she is nothing more than a crack that tears you apart. Everyone in the kingdom adores her so much. You were happy for her at first. But now, the Queen is no longer the fairest of them all, and thus she is to be ignored and overthrown. The new prettiest girl ever will be the one to rule based on appearance alone.
She had no talents or experience in ruling. Hell, you wouldn't even mind if she ruled instead of you in the future, you could have guided her as any other sibling would do. It doesn't sit right with you. People are rioting in the street for the new queen, and the princess does nothing to stop it. She's naive and ignorant of everything around her. Now here was mother being locked up, her appearance now is the form of a hag as her punishment for no longer being the fairest of them all.
Why? Your mother was beautiful the way she was. She was intelligent and an idealist. She led the kingdom into a golden age and overthrew the old corrupt king. Shouldn't that count for something? Why is it that appearance only matters? Why? Why Why Why Why Why?
You wake up a bit frustrated. The dream played in your head as you remembered what your mother told you of her palace life. To always look perfect. To have your value placed on nothing but looks. And now, she is known as the Evil Queen for wanting to be more than just a pretty face.
"Momma Grimhilde…? Are you up…?" "What are you doing up? Vessel, you know that staying up is bad for you by now!" You huffed a bit and nodded in agreement. "Sorry I had a bit of a strange dream… it was about you…"
The Queen was quiet, you swear you can feel the queen strutting in front of you in thought at your words. "Of the kingdom, you told me about. They were so unfair and-" "Hush now Vessel, I know very well how annoying it is... However! I cannot return and exact my revenge if you're too tired to train in the morning, can I?" Her voice had a hint of smugness within it, an oddly comforting tone to you.
"Go back to sleep dear, I'll be right beside you." The Queen started to hum a familiar tune. One that she would hum to you in your early childhood. Your mother was far from evil.
Scar (Starkid)
"The pride has never seen a more progressive king than me. Both lion and hyena live in perfect harmony. I brought an end to what has been a senseless age-old feud. I was prepared for everything except for what ensued. My brother ate my cubs- my precious cubs and stole my throne. Returned to segregation and the hateful ways we've known. Though I'd advocate for unity I always was denounced. So when I saw the opportunity to right the wrong? I pounced."
A song sung to you at your first meeting with Scar. The shadowy figure looming over you before returning into a puddle of blot, hiding in the darkness. A hero, whose acts were washed away by time. You remember the hyenas and Scar always bantering when you first met. Despite all the times they got on each other's, they never once made it about their races.
It was inspiring to see someone believe so heavily in their ideals that they are willing to be punished for it. He would take any measure necessary to ensure them as well, even scheming. You hated that his pride saw him as a traitor for his interactions with the hyenas. The way he met his end annoyed you even more.
The two fought over the overhang cliffs of rock you lay flat on. Your body, beaten and bruised from the ensuing fight. Limbs shaking; you manage to push yourself up against the hot rock below you. Your legs wobble as you stand up, watching the battle in front of you. Scar and Simba, fighting brutally claws, fangs and roars exchanged.
Scar was older, no longer in his prime, yet he still fought hard. There should be no way Simba wins. There shouldn't have been. Lightning struck the edge of the rock Scar was on, making him tumble into the fire below. A painful roar sounded out from below, and you felt sick. The sound woke you up, making you pant for a moment.
You sat up, body sweating, and sat on the side of the bed. You hear a familiar displeased groan come from behind you as the bed shifts under the lion's weight. "Tch, you woke me up from my nap, Cub." Scar grumbles, but it lacks the edge he usually has. Glancing over at him with his tail batting irritably, you knew something wrong. You knew he wouldn't want to talk about it.
"I had a nightmare. I saw you fall into the fire…" Scar tensed at that and looked at you. "So that visier was right." "Huh?" "We've been together so long that some of my memories have bled into your dreams. What you saw is what happened…" the lion growled a bit towards the end. Annoyed with the idea of anyone poking into his memories.
"... I'm sorry." Scar huffed and stretched his back. "I still won in the end. Hyenas and lions live together. Oh, how I would love to see the faces of the pride right now…" Scar trailed off, though you can tell he was still a bit annoyed. Scar curled up and you used his body as a pillow, the same way you did back then as a kid.
"I guess it means I'm gonna have to find a way to bring you back faster. That way you can really get the last laugh." Scar let out an amused chuff. "That you do."
Ursula (Starkid)
"My brother held the antiquated notion that women should be seen and never heard. So he dethroned me then disowned me, and on top of that, rezoned me, to the outskirts of the kingdom in a cave. Took my scepter and my crown, though I tried to take him down, the truth and I now share a watery grave. The story lingers on, but the version that is drawn is twisted…"
You've started getting nightmares. Shared memories of the seven that live in your head manifesting within your dreams and haunting you. Ursula would often console your "poor soul" after experiencing it. She shared stories of the ocean and reminded you of all the fond memories you had under there as a kid. When she'd cast a spell on you and let you sink to the bottom to play with all the fish.
When you woke up in the ocean, you thought you were living out a happy memory. One where you would ride on Flotsam's and Jetsam's backs as you explored your new underwater playground. That was until you saw magic bolts fly into the water around you.
Ursula along with the eels engaged in some sort of battle. The eels slithered around the enemy mer, hoping to throw her off, however, a bolt of magic ricocheted off of her and onto the eels. Flotsam and Jetsam let out a final hiss as they disintegrated, burning away to ash. "MY BABIES!" Ursula shrieks. Raw anger flashes in her face in a way you've never seen before.
Her form stretches out, swallowing everything around her, yet it wasn't enough. A trident pierces through her body, leaving a hollow hole. Ursula lets out a choked gasp as she falls, succumbing to the tides. Dead. This was how she passed. You remember her telling you of the girl who dared to hurt her eels and how she swore vengeance upon her.
Waking up you don't feel as panicked, remembering what Jafar said. It was a bad memory that surfaced in your dream. But why were you crying? Was it perhaps the thought of watching three of your family members die in front of you? Tears roll down your face and you feel a large hand wipe them away. "What Is wrong, my little guppy?" Ursula purrs. Her voice immediately relaxes you. "Ah, a nightmare is it? I got just the thing!" She chuckles, usually you wer eused to her disregarding you, but as time went on she started to consider you one of her own. You feel a familiar pair of slimy eels wrap around you.
"I had a dream of that story you told me… where you fell." You paused, holding onto the eels tightly. "I was scared. I thought… the thought of you guys dying…" you trailed off and Ursula turns to look at you over her shoulder, small vial in hand.
"Hmph, that little mermaid. I will never forgive her for what she did to me and my babies! I won't go down that easily anytime soon..." Ursula frowned before turning around to face you. The eels snicker slightly. "Aww, you really do love us!" Jetsam starts. "How cute." Flotsam replies. Ursula chuckles and hands you the vial.
"Here you go. Drink up now. This potion will put you back to sleep and give you a much sweeter dream, little guppy." Her smooth hands glide over you once again as you press your head into her chest. "I'll be right here with you…"
Hades
The fun yet inappropriate uncle dad. He has always been there to tease and make fun of you, much like Ursula. Yet you loved him all the same
He admitted to enjoying your time stuck together quicker than the others, stating that this adventure was much more entertaining and fun than being stuck at his regular job which he complained much about. Ruler of the underworld and the dead was gloomy, boring. He was stuck all alone with nothing. No entertainment, no lights, no music. Just the screams of the damned swirling in that pit.
A pit he got stuck in. A pit he despised. One where he was stuck for eons, suffering, just to somehow get connected to you as a ghost. How odd...
Yet here he was in a dream, reliving the same painful memory he experienced all those years ago. Fighting the son of his enemy. Hercules. Just like the gods to send down a child to do their work for him. He knows well what his brothers think of him…
It was a good fight, great even. He was strong. Magic, fire, smoke, and total control over the domain. He has the upper hand. Yet why did it come crashing down? Why is it that anything he does isn't enough?
After all these years of planning. Years of scheming. Just for this. Failure. All he wanted was to be in Olympus with his family. To be included. Invited. And now some boy gets to ruin that just because he's his brother's son.
He hated it. As he fell into the River Styx, you dived after him. Hades called out for you to stop, you don't want to– ah shit. You stopped breathing for a moment. The sensation of some sort of limbo. The feeling of your bones rotting within you and your soul withering away. You were drowning. You struggled and cried out to reach Hades, your father, from in front of you. Yet to no avail.
Waking up you took in a breath. You were alive. You can breathe. Your skin is on the bone. You were safe. The blue glow of Hades fire was right there, alive and well. He looked like he just woke up too. "Tch, whatcha doing away kiddo? It's late you know? Oh are we breaking rules, I love breaking rules yknow?" You chuckled, knowing your other dads and mom wouldn't like you up so late.
It was hard to feel scared with Hades. "Just some dumb dreams." "Oh yeah, kid?" Hades turned to you and leaned in. "Tell me about it." His voice seemed softer than usual.
"We were in the underworld and I had to watch you fight Hades." "Oh! Did I kick his ass?!" Hades asked, childishly excited, the smirk on his face drops when he sees your frown. "C'mon kid, don't tell meI lost!" You frowned. "I had a dream where you got hurt. And I was scared. I didn't know what to do without you."
Hades seems to shut up slightly at that. His teasing nature put on hold as he saw tears fall from your eyes. "Hey hey hey! Come on kid don't cry right now! I'm right here with ya! I'm not going anywhere!"
You would take full advantage of his softness right now, knowing damn well he was gonna tease you to death later.

"Hi, my name's Nico!"
pairing: platonic!nico di angelo x older sister reader
summary: you found your pugsley addams
warnings: brief mention of injury, grieving a family member
category: one-shot but not really
a/n: this is probably awful but do i need to fulfil my big sister urge to protect our beloved nico? yes. yes i do. i got this idea listening to Here With Me by d4vd, if you want something to listen while reading <3
“Hi, my name is Nico!”
Tousled dark brown hair, big brown eyes, a toothless grin, and a squeaky voice. Strangely, he doesn’t cower at your eyes, sizing him up. Either he doesn’t care or he’s clueless to your judgment. You're sure it’s the latter.
How could this tiny boy, with too much life in his eyes, and too much excitement in his voice be a child of Hades? Considering your father’s exciting track record with children, this wasn’t what you were expecting when Chiron mentioned you had a brother moving in soon.
He’s just so… lively.
The blinding daylight outside poured through your agape curtains and it surrounded his small frame like a giant halo.
The sight was violent.
It gave you a headache.
“What’s your name?” He waits antsy for your answer and you debate on even giving him one.
Father told you he didn’t have any living children besides you. Considering the boy in front of you, it was a lie, or he had forgotten about him. Either way, you plan on arguing about it later.
How dare he give you a roommate. Let alone a roommate barely in the double digits. This boy could have a tantrum today, and you didn’t sign up for babysitting.
“My side.” Your fingers point to the left of the cabin which is furnished with a bed, shelves, a desk, and a nightstand you got shipped to camp. “Your side.”
Lazily, you point to the right. The lone bunk bed that initially occupied the space is tucked there, ready for the roommate you never thought would arrive.
After three years, you had debated on getting rid of it, maybe donating it to the Hermes cabin. Gods know they need it but you guess keeping it was the right choice.
“Inside voice only. No laughing, no whining, no groaning, no screaming, and especially, no crying.”
The boy’s face falters into a slight frown. Your unblinking, emotionless face had settled into his awareness. For the first time since he’s arrived, he looks down at his feet. “Okay.”
Your vision follows his movements as the boy retreats to his side of the room. His suitcase drags across the floor, making a wretched sound and it shoots irritation straight into your chest.
Harsh words threaten to spill from your lips but they get caught at the back of your throat.
At least he’s compliant, you consider. Better bubbly and compliant than bubbly and stubborn.
★・・・・・・★
“Psst.”
Did you imagine it? The sound was so faint and quick, you weren’t sure if it even happened.
Voices in passing weren’t foreign to you. The occasional energy likes to linger around.
If it was that, you refused to spare a single movement to signal you heard anything at all. A bothersome ghost wasn’t really in your plans tonight.
There wasn’t a twitch in your face or a pause in your breathing that gave you away. And as you do every night, you remain laid on your back, hands lightly folded and rested in the middle of your stomach.
“PSST.”
Great.
The second time was filled with so much urgency you couldn’t conclude it as a trick of the ear. Suddenly, you’re filled with dread. And it wasn’t from the possibility that when opening your eyes, you may find an entity looming over you. Honestly, you wished that’s what you were expecting. At least then, you’d be more interested.
But no, you knew the sound came from no one other than the pest who sleeps across the room. Even now, you are fully aware of his small presence beside your bed.
You had to give him credit. At no point did you hear him approach.
A silent stride just like yours? Maybe you actually are related.
“What?”
Nico tenses up, his hand flings back to his side. He was just questioning if you were even alive, judging from your barely rising chest. Not sure what to do after your lack of response, he thought giving you a little poke would get a reaction but from your tone just now, he was glad he didn’t get to test that out. “T-the statue…” Nico didn’t dare look over, gaze set on your blank face. “What about it?” “It blinked.”
Nico rubs his sweaty palms on his pajama pants, feeling the looming presence of Hades's statue.
The past few nights, while lying in his bed, he kept returning to the same conclusion. He couldn’t be the only one who thought sleeping in a room with a giant statue was kinda creepy.
Sure, it was just stone, but at times, it felt like it was looking at him. He thought he was just imagining it at first. Bianca did say he had a habit of spooking himself out but it didn’t stop him from sleeping with the sheets over his head.
Tonight, however, amongst the deliriousness of waking up, he made the mistake of looking over. His vision was hazy, but he was sure of what he saw. The statue had blinked. Clean and quick as if it was supposed to do that. It was more than he’s ever seen you blink, and he’s been with you for almost a week.
“It does that sometimes.”
“What?” Nico’s voice was laced with so much emotion you could imagine what face he was making. Behind your eyelids, you envisioned the scared face Mr. D made you identify recently in therapy. It was so comedic to you, you almost smiled.
“Go back to sleep.” A whine immediately leaves Nico’s lips, and your hand moves up, arm bent at the elbow, your pointer finger in the air. “No whining.” “But—” “Still whining,” you point out, and Nico remains quiet for a moment. Taking consideration of his silent movements earlier, you assumed he retreated to bed, but as he cleared his throat, you wished you could roll your eyes with them closed.
“I’m scared.”
“And what do you want me to do about that?”
“I don’t know. When I’m scared, my sister—”
“I’m not your sister.”
Nico frowns but remains in his spot unmoving. As the seconds passed, your awareness of his presence started to irk you.
“Ugh.”
The tired glare on your face makes Nico cower, and you sling your legs to the side. Another sigh leaves you and you march over to his side of the room. He waits as you rip the fitted sheet from the top bunk and throw it over the statue.
“There. Happy? He can’t stare at you if he can’t see you.”
“Now it just looks like a ghost,” Nico shifts, fear still on his face.
There’s a smack as your palm meets your forehead. A child of Hades scared of a ghost? You were about to tell him to get used to it but before you can nag him an idea graces your mind.
Quickly, you walk over to your desk, hands searching for a black marker. Once in your grasp, you drag a chair to the stone and stand on it.
Two circles for the eyes and one smiling open mouth.
Moving away to see your drawings, you decide it was a refreshing sight compared to the usually stoic face of the god.
“Better?” you ask, tone still bored as you cap the marker.
Nico’s eyes light up, a smile growing wide on his face. Who would be scared of a happy ghost? He nods brightly, and you make your way down, eyes rolling at the entire situation. “Go to sleep,” you command, and Nico nods, more willing than he was a few minutes ago. As you both return to the covers, the boy glances across the room one more time. “Good night,” he calls, and you stare at him for a moment.
He always says it despite you never saying it back. Under your gaze, he waits expectantly, but it never returns. Just as every night, you lie down without a word.
★・・・・・・★
Capture the flag isn’t your cup of tea.
In the summers, you never participated. The bright sun, the humidity, it all made you want to claw your skin off.
Usually, you get out of it but Mr. D pointed out there was no reason not to participate since most of what you hate about it isn’t a problem this time of year. One comment from him and Chiron takes it upon himself to ensure you attend.
You hated it.
Forced to strategize with Thalia and Percy, you are reminded the weather wasn’t the only thing you despised. It was dealing with everyone else too.
"I'll take the offense," Thalia volunteered. "You take defense."
"Oh." Percy hesitated. "Don't you think with your shield and all, you'd be better defense?"
"Well, I was thinking it would make better offense," Thalia said. "Besides, you've had more
practice at defense. What do you think, Y/n?”
Your gaze flickers between the two waiting expectantly for your opinion.
The tension between them has been something else since they’ve come back from retrieving Nico and losing Annabeth in the process. It’s not like there wasn’t any tension before but right now, you can smell the power struggle and it stinks.
“I don’t care. Argue amongst yourselves.”
With that, you turn on your heels, looking for the boy who surprisingly isn’t standing behind you like a shadow. Your eyes search the crowd for a few seconds until you spot what looks like a pile of floating armor next to the Stoll’s.
A small sigh leaves your lips. Whoever gave him that definitely is setting him up and judging by the poorly contained laughs of the Stoll’s, you can guess who’s rooting for Nico’s downfall.
The boy, painfully unaware of this, just beams at you, too excited for the game ahead. Lazily, you make your way towards him and immediately, he’s bouncing happily, his mouth ready to bombard you with questions.
Your palm rises before he could and he freezes, obeying your silent command. “You need to tighten that.”
He looks down at himself, his helmet swinging down into his eyes and he struggles to pull it away. “Which part?”
“All of it,” you snap. The sadness that flashes in his eyes shouldn’t have affected you but you straightened up, closing your eyes to recollect yourself. “We’ll get you better armor afterward.”
Nico nods, gaze softening as you adjust the straps of his armor. You tug on them as much as you can, jerking the boy left to right with the movement.
Once every strap couldn’t be tightened anymore, you step back to take a look. It didn’t do much but at least his plate is snug against his chest.
“Okay kid, stay out of the way and be careful with that thing.” Nico looks down at his sword, which is probably too heavy for him. “We need to get you another weapon too. Gods, who did your orientation?”
Nico points over at the Stoll’s who are occupied with other campers. Sending a glare in their direction you huff, “Of course.”
"Heroes!" Chiron calls, swiftly getting everyone’s attention. "You know the rules! The creek is the boundary line. Blue team—Camp Half-Blood—shall take the west woods. Hunters of Artemis—red team—shall take the east woods. I will serve as referee and battlefield medic. No intentional maiming, please! All magic items are allowed. To your positions!"
“Do I get magic items!?” Nico screeches causing you to cringe. Whipping your gaze in his direction, he cowers sheepishly, his eyes filled with hesitant apology.  “No. Remember what I said. Stay—” “Stay out of the way and be careful with my sword.” Nico finishes your sentence and he smiles at the evident distaste in your expression.
Your eyes flicker along his frame. “And don’t get hurt.”
★・・・・・・★
Nico, to no one’s surprise, got hurt.
Honestly, you couldn’t be upset at him, it’s not his fault he got caught in a spell cast.
A certain Circe camper did a fine job at missing her every target, leaving Nico standing in the outfield like a giant bullseye. The force alone sent him back a few feet and he slid across the field like a rag doll for a few more feet afterward.
As he lay there limp in shock, you genuinely thought he died. Before you could wield the ground to swallow up his attacker, he groaned and stumbled back on his feet.
Lucky for her, disappointing for you. You haven’t gotten around to doing that trick in a while.
“Well, you definitely have blunt force trauma injuries, everywhere,” Fletcher says, removing his hands from Nico’s abdomen. The boy reclined in the cot flinches at the bruises already forming along his ribs.
It looked pretty bad. So much so that you decided it would be cruel to tell him to stop crying.
“But you don’t have internal bleeding in your lungs so at least you won’t drown in your own life source.”
Despite the smile Fletcher flashes at Nico, it doesn’t affect the look of horror on his face.
“Nothing Ambrosia and Nectar can’t fix. You’ll be fine in a couple of days.” Fletcher helps the small boy sit up in the cot. He passes him a small cup of Nectar and orders him to drink up while he gets what he needs for the sling Nico’s arm will be in for a little bit.
A sniffle leaves the boy as he observes the drink he’s left with. “What does it taste like?” “It depends on the person,” you sit back in your chair. “Usually tastes like something nostalgic, a favorite food or drink. You won’t know until you try it.”
Nico nods, hesitantly taking a sip. As the flavors settle on his tongue, his eyes progressively widen. Next thing you know, he’s swallowing it like he hasn’t had a meal in days.
“It tastes like the almond cookies they had at the Lotus Casino!”
You nod in response, having some memory of Nico telling you about the Casino he and his sister lived at for a while. He’s told you plenty about it, you just weren’t listening most of the time.
“I liked those the most because it reminded me of the cookies my mom would buy us.”
Nico looks down at the cup, his smile faltering by the second. There’s a shadow clouding over his orbs and you quirk an eyebrow. The sadness overtaking his features looked strange. Sure you’ve seen him upset but you knew enough to recognize this expression as anguish.
“What is it?” Your words came out more monotone than you intended. Shifting in your seat, you wondered why you even asked. Vulnerability wasn’t really something you sought after. It puts a bad taste in your mouth.
“I was just wondering if Bianca would taste the same thing… but she never ate the cookies with me.”
A hum leaves your lips. You don’t know much about that sister of his but you knew two things: first, you were here while he was hurt and she wasn’t. Second, her absence made Nico upset.
“I understand.” Your vision is set on the small window beside you. Set on the fields of campers ahead, you ignore Nico’s burning stare. “I don’t like the taste of my nectar or ambrosia.” “Why?” “The flavors remind me too much of things I want to forget. Your sister probably didn’t eat those cookies for the same reason. It’s too much. Too many things tied to the things you like the most.”
Nico’s silent, staring at the paper cup in his hands as if he was searching for something.
“Nico, there’s one thing you need to know.” He averts his gaze over to you. “You’ll make friends, you’ll have lovers, you’ll have family but at the end of the day, the only person you truly have is yourself.”
The boy shifts in his place, eyebrows furrowing. “Don’t let people steal parts of yourself from you. They’re going to disappoint you, expect it, and don’t be sad about it.”
Silence followed somber and stuffy silence. For once, you were glad Fletcher returned in all of his child of Apollo gleam. He was better at cheering Nico up than you were, that’s for sure.
★・・・・・・★
“What do you mean ‘He’s gone?’” Percy slowly retreats from your advances. Twice already, he’s stared at the glowing eyes of a child of Hades and the second time was even more intimidating.
“He just disappeared,” Percy stutters out. “It looked like shadows took him, and then he was gone.”
Schist. You didn’t even know the little rat could shadow travel. By now, he could be anywhere. You’ve been on him about training, but he still had that childish clumsiness to him. His chances of survival would be out of pure luck.
A groan leaves your lips, knowing you’d have to go find him. If it were anyone else, you would have let them be, but this unfamiliar urgency in your chest wouldn’t allow it. You had to find and drag him back by his ear if you had to.
Your eyes roll at the son of Poseidon, and you turn on your heels without a word. So much drama because of that sister of his.
Rushing down the stairs of the pavilion, you conjure the shadows to form a portal that’ll lead you straight into the forest.
Di Angelo, you better be alive when I find you.
★・・・・・・★
How does a 10-year-old with short legs get so much distance?
After hours of searching and instigating some fights with monsters, he was nowhere to be found. Concluding that, maybe, hopefully, he found his way out of the forest, you have to settle with waiting for him to return. If he returns.
Tired legs take you up the porch steps and you shrug off your coat the moment you step through the door. As the warmth graces your chilled skin, a floorboard creaks.
“Nico?”
“Y/n?” Your name comes out of his mouth like a desperate plea as he reveals himself out of the shadows. With rosy, tear-stained cheeks, and watery eyes, Nico bolts in your direction, and for a moment, you think he’s going to attack you.
It would be a bold move. Though, with his speed, he could get a good hit but he ended up doing something much worse.
He hugged you.
His small frame flings into you, short arms grasping your waist as if his life depended on it.
“Percy broke his promise,” he cries, hot tears running down his cheeks and dampening your shirt. “Bianca,” he shutters. “He told me she died.” His frame shivers harder, the action almost too violent for his frame. You weren’t sure how but his grip tightened, “What am I going to do?” Get over it.
The hostile thought was a knee-jerk reaction. Your mouth was about to relay the message but you stopped yourself, the words getting caught in your throat.
The logical answer didn’t feel right. Why didn’t it feel right?
Suddenly you’re aware of the sunken feeling in your chest. Its foreign nature made it hard to distinguish whether it hurt or if it was discomfort.
This is odd.
Nico cries and cries, and by now, the clothing of your shirt is sticking damp to your skin. The longer you stood there, stuck on what to say next, you felt an urgency as if your response was timed.
Rarely were you lost for words. Actually, you can’t recall a time when you have but right now you stood with your mouth open like a fish out of water. “You stay here,” you say abruptly. Nico pulls away, eyes glistening in the ray of moonlight seeping into the room. He’s so small.
Not that he’s not small on any other day. His narrow shoulders droop and turn into themselves from the weight of the news. He looked fragile, searching for something other than his grief and he’s searching for it in you.
It wasn’t often someone came to confide in you. Your advice was always too abrasive, and cold, and never did you have the urge to give something different.
That’s what made this moment so strange. As Nico waits expectantly, you can’t find it in yourself to disregard him.
“You stay here,” you repeat, the words delivered before your brain could process them.“And you train, and make friends, and find your own way around life.” Nico frowns, sleeve wiping his nose. Amongst his sadness, something flickers in his eyes. “Stay here with you?” With you.
You couldn’t begin to decipher what that question made you feel. Forget the question, its delivery was hopeful and that surprised you the most.
The feelings were almost overwhelming and before it completely flooded your senses, you shoved it to the side.
“Who else?” You clear your throat in an effort to get yourself together. “Is there anyone else who lives here besides me? Does the statue count too?” The question was genuine but something about it made Nico crack a smile.
“Anyways, you’ll see her again.” You shrug, stepping out of his loose embrace.
“I will?” “We’re the children of the dead. We can just find her.” Find her so I can kill her again.
Nico sniffles, the sound snapping you out of your thoughts.
“Stop crying,” you blurt out, and the boy blinks, face pink. “Crying doesn’t fix anything,” is all you say before returning to your side of the room.
Nico swallows, trying to suppress the tears.
You were right. Crying doesn’t fix anything but even though it was true, his emotions were all too much for him. Sniffling softly and wiping his face with his sleeve, he retreats to bed. “Good night,” he says, voice quivering.
Nico crawls into the covers, the fatigue hitting him the moment he rests against the spring mattress. Unexpecting, he wraps himself up, eyes shut tight in hopes he’ll be asleep soon. “Good night.”
Nico’s eyebrows furrow. He finds some strength to lift his head just enough for you to be in his line of vision. Blinking in surprise, he swears he saw a smile on your face. It wasn’t teasing, or happy. It was comforting, as slight as it was. It wasn’t much but to Nico, it made him feel like he’d be okay.
Without another word, you slid into your covers and went to sleep.
★・・・・・・★
“Where’s the brat?” With crossed arms and a look of determination, you stood authoritatively at the double doors of your father’s dining room.
The god sits at the very end of the grand table, skeleton butlers wait on either end of the room to serve him. On the polished mahogany wood, the bulbs of the many crystal chandeliers lined up across the ceiling reflect like ornaments. As Hades wipes the sides of his lips with a cloth napkin, the side of his mouth quirks as he catches Nico peeking behind your back like a child behind a mother’s skirt.
Since when have you been maternal?
“I’m sorry, who?” Your father asks with fake confusion. The smile on his face already gave you a headache. You weren’t here to play games, you meant business.
“You know who.”
Hades clears his throat and his eyes flicker over to Nico. Quickly, the small boy retreats nervously, eyes set on your back. “I don’t know where your sister is, boy.”
“I don’t believe you,” you cut in. Nico wasn’t going to speak, the boy practically shivering in his father’s presence. Even as he refrains from confrontation, he’s in awe at your comfort towards the god.
“There’s dead people in and out of this place. You think I would know?” Hades asks and a hum leaves your lips.
“I would think you’d at least keep track of your kids but if you’re going to be this useless to me, I’ll find her myself.”
“Wait.”
You halt turning on your heels and raise an eyebrow. There was a moment of disbelief, your father helping and not making everything so difficult for you, for once? You wonder who could have possibly granted this miracle.
“She’s somewhere down here,” Hades says and you wish your expression could get straighter. “Wow, I would have never figured that out. Thanks.” Grabbing Nico’s sleeve, you begin dragging him out of the room.
“She’s not in the meadows, I checked. I don’t think her life has been judged either but Charon said he rowed her in. I can feel she’s close.”
You sigh. Finding her is proving to be more of a challenge than you thought. By now, you would think she’d be judged and categorized wherever the judges saw fit. However, from the dead ends, you’ve stumbled upon so far, you consider that she doesn’t want to be found. As annoying as it is, the chance to prove you can find her was enough to get you to keep going, “Noted,” you mumble, already deciding where you will look next. “Close the door on your way out!” “No.”
★・・・・・・★
“Okay, listen here…” You move a little closer, eyeing the name tag on the frightened guard. “Atrius. Have you seen Bianca? She looks like this kid.” Pointing at Nico, the ghost peers over your shoulder.
“No, I haven’t seen her.” As definitive as that statement was, he didn’t sound so definitive. His bones clinked together as he shivered in your presence.
“I don’t like when people lie to me.” You stare into his empty eye sockets. One moment passes and then two and then three and still he hasn’t budged. Irritation buzzed at the back of your skull. You had the time but none of the patience to play hide and seek.
Nico stands a short way behind you, partially concerned for your victim. He wasn’t sure what you were going to do if you didn’t get what you wanted. The skeleton flashed him a look and even with no skin on his face, he could tell it was pleading.
“Help me!” He was saying without a word.
The boy doesn’t move from his spot though, instead looking away sheepishly. Pleading or not, he looked scary. That and Nico really wants to find his sister. “I’m not lying!” He insists and it annoys you even more. Quickly, in one movement, you grab his leg and tug so hard it comes straight out the socket. Tossing it to the side, your eyes don’t leave him as he yelps, falling straight to the ground. “Tell me where she is, or I’m tossing both of your legs into Tarturus. Last chance.”
Atrius wails at your threat, the sound was so hysteric you almost missed his confession. “She’s hiding in Lady Persephone’s garden, amongst the pomegranate trees!”
Nico flinches when you whip around. Already he was unsettled by your interrogation methods but nothing prepared him for your face.
You were smiling. Your eyes looked lit up.
Not gracing him a look, you walked right past him. From his surprise, his brain never gave his body the signal to move. Instead, he averts his attention to a distraught Atrius whose more than relieved he finally got you out of his bones.
Right as he’s about to look away, Nico jumps in his skin as the skeleton looks right at him once again. It was only then did he find the courage to move. Walking backward, he smiles sheepishly. “Um… thank you,” Nico’s tone is apologetic. Across the courtyard laid Atrius’s leg and the boy takes a step in that direction but is halted by the sound of his name. “You’re coming or not?” You ask him, foot tapping with impatience.
Not wanting to keep you waiting, Nico forgets about retrieving the guard's limb. “Sorry about your leg!” He shouts behind him, hoping the apology was soothing enough as he joins your side.
The young boy stares at the back of your sneakers as you make your way through the underworld. Already he’s seen some things that spooked him out too much. This was like walking through a horror maze for him.
For you though, he notices you’re more comfortable around here than you did at camp. Your usually confident stride had purpose and authority. He wonders if he’ll ever walk through here the same way you do one day. A part of him hopes he does.
“Alright.” Nico halts, almost bumping right into you as you stop in your tracks. “We walk through here silently. Watch where you’re stepping, if you crush one of Persephone’s plants, I can’t help you.”
The boy’s face contorted with fear. “What do you mean you can’t help me?” He couldn’t decipher the look you flashed in his direction but it sent your message well enough. Don’t step on one of her flowers and you won’t find out.
Nico’s small nod is enough to get you moving. With silent and slow steps, you walk along the paved pathway toward the cluster of trees in the back.
It hadn’t settled into Nico’s awareness that his sister was hiding. You could tell. He was still hopeful and excited to see her and you can imagine if he knew, he wouldn’t be happy about it.
You’re not happy about it, that’s for sure. What even was her problem? If there was anything Nico deserved, it was to see her before she gets sent to the meadows or decides to reincarnate.
Once you approach the trees, you shuffle through them. You’re thankful Nico’s naturally taken the role of your shadow because he mimics your sneaking, staying out of sight with you.
He probably thinks your caution is due to Persephone arriving at any minute. You feel this strange tightness in your chest, he really has no idea you’re trying to sneak up on his sister so she doesn’t have the chance to run.
Right as the thought passes, you catch sight of something moving in the trees. Locks of brown hair wisp through them and the pulse in your neck picks up. It seems you’re not going to avoid a chase.
Nico barely had time to catch up as you bolt through a straight diagonal through the trees. You admire her audacity to try and get away. The smile that stretches across your face is from amusement alone.
As Bianca makes a sharp right, you gather the shadows at the tree's stumps and will them to consume your body. Nico blinks and suddenly you’re gone. His quick steps come to a stop as he looks around, trying to catch any sight of you. Then he hears a cry of pain and he moves fast in that direction.
The only thing on his mind was the possibility you got hurt. Even if you were in your father’s territory, were there still monsters that could attack you? Even worse, what if you stepped on Lady Persephone’s plants? If you can’t help him in the scenario he did, what was he gonna do?
His pace quickens as he hears another cry and finally, he bursts through a wall of vines.
Still clouded by his concern, his brain barely processes what he stumbled upon. There you were, fingers grasping tight at his sister’s ear. Bianca groans and struggles in your pinching grasp and you look up at Nico with a gleam, like a fisherman who just got his catch of the day. “Got her.”
“Nico?”
Bianca freezes at the sight of her brother. There’s a silence that follows and you’re surprised Nico didn’t immediately bombard her with questions.
The girl straightens up once you let go of her and as your arm returns to your side, you catch the tears brimming Nico’s waterline.
Yeah, this is when you clock out. Your work here is done.
“I’ll… wait for you over there,” you point through the trees and at the meadow of flowers that wasn’t too far. It’s enough distance to be an earshot away.
Nico nods, his eyes unmoving from his sister.
Once you’ve shadow traveled to your spot, you didn’t dare look in their direction. With your eyes planted on the flowers, you wait for Nico to return.
The boy didn’t take too long which left you lost for words. He didn’t look happy when he met you in the garden. His eyes held a feeling a part of you understood.
“I want to go home.” He frowns.
Home. You didn’t even consider camp a home and you’ve been there for three years.
“Okay.” Your voice was right above a whisper.
Whatever happened back there was the end for him, the last time he would see her. Knowing how that felt, you waited. Just a moment, maybe two. If Nico had any reservations or second thoughts, you gave him time. When nothing came, you hoped whatever happened, he’ll find peace in it.
The shadow gathered slowly, first at your feet then at your legs and soon the two of you were traveling through blurred shadows and harsh winds.
★・・・・・・★
“Who did this?” You weren’t sure if the streaks of water on Nico’s face were from his eyes or the toilet water soaked in his hair.
The boy sniffles, cheeks and nose flushed from his embarrassment. After the incident, he rushed back to the Hades Cabin to wallow in self-pity but his assumption you wouldn’t be there was wrong. He didn’t want to admit what happened, scared he would disappoint you for clearly losing this battle.
His mouth opens to answer but nothing comes out. He considers lying but as you raise an eyebrow, he grows too anxious to come up with one.
“Nico,” you say his name firmly and the frown on his face deepens. “It was Clarisse and her siblings, they-” he gurgles out through his watery whines and you sigh. “They…, I-”
“Breathe.” You kneel to his height and take a deep breath, waiting for him to follow. He does, his chest filling with air and he releases it shakily.
“They surrounded me in the bathroom and Clarisse shoved my face in the toilet.”
His lip quivers as he recalls the memory. Nico’s eyes flicker across your hardening features and you rise from your spot. “Go clean up,” you demand, already heading to the door.
“What are you gonna do?” “I’m going to fix it.”
★・・・・・・★
Gravel crunches under your shoes, without a single weapon you persist into the camp’s arena. Clangs of swords and grunts could be heard from outside of the entrance and as you made your way through the doors, there were the Ares’s campers sweating and panting from their already hard day of training.
Clarisse stands there authoritatively, the swing of the grand door grabbing her attention and the snug look on her face had set off a slight rage in your chest.
You were ready to wipe it off. If only she knew what she had coming. “Did Nico tell on us?” One of her brothers asks mockingly, your presence already known to the entire group. They stood, waiting for a fight as they make no effort to sheath their swords.
A smile almost graces your lips before you could even execute your plan.
“His big sister is fighting his battles for him.” They laugh and joke at your brother’s expense and something snaps in your mind.
The ground suddenly sinks into itself, and Clarisse and her siblings stumble to the side in confusion. Before they realized what was happening, there was no chance to run.
A sinkhole, perfectly round and deep enough to trap them forms right under their feet. They roll and drop to the bottom, coughing at the gravel waterfall surrounding them.
You hear their shouts and complaints and you make your way to the edge. Looking down at them, you ignore their demands to be let out.
“No one messes with my little brother.”
As if on cue, there’s a screech in the distance and it immediately fills their expressions with dread. A lopsided smirk appears on your lips and soon the shadows of massive wings appear overhead.
You whisper a demand to attack in ancient greek and the harpies swoop down with a call like a battle cry. There’s a collective panic of your victims and a laugh leaves you, watching as they spear their swords in the air at every charge towards them.
Calmly leaving the chaos you’ve caused behind, you find an audience. Unaware of their bewildered expressions, not because of the scene but at the joyful smile on your face, you hoped you’ve sent a message.
Be nice my brother or else.

I imagine that Athena or Artemis would probably be the first of the gods to notice Zagreus's obsession with the player. Can I request what their dialogue would be like?
Below is how I think all the Gods would react to the player, listed in order of who figures it out the quickest.
Athena:
Of course, the Goddess of Wisdom, would notice her cousin's obsession first. She, and for the most part all of her family, are used to strange and extravagant displays of affections. It doesn't take a genius to figure out Zagreus has been pushing himself harder though the layers of hell and when gracing him with a boon, Athena comes to realize just how deep his obsession truly is.
Her dialogue doesn't directly address you like some of the others, but it's no less strange.
"Dear cousin, do you realize how risky your goal is? Once your father figures out, this won't end well. Regardless, perhaps this might help you in your task."
Artemis
Artemis is the Goddess of the Hunt, and so when Zagreus power and hunger for battle starts to surge, she notices right away. Though, Zagreus is hunting for something deeper, something far away, that not even she can trace. It entices her, and she can't help but grow a small interest in Zagreus's prey.
Her dialogue, like Athena, doesn't directly address the player, but instead Zagreus's obsession.
"Hmm--Zagreus, there is a hunger deep inside of you, I can feel it. It yearns for something greater. Greater than this hell you're trapped in, greater than Olympus, greater than yourself even. Maybe one day, this hunger will be quelled. Until then, here's something to hold you over.
Ares:
Like Artemis, the God of war is able to sense the bloodthirsty urge for battle growing inside Zagreus. At first, he simply believes it's due to his strength growing as he continues his attempts at escaping. It doesn't take him long to realize how deep, how primal, his cousin's urges are. Every time he strikes down an enemy, Ares is able to feel the darkness within Zagreus growing.
Ares is the first character to openly acknowledge the player, though it's subtle compared to some of the later characters.
"Zagreus, cousin. You are aware of this...feeling inside of you, what it is, right? I hope you know that if you choose to pursue this, your father will never approve. I, however, am rather interested in this endeavor and would like to see how it plays out. Here--take this, maybe it will be of use to you.
Hermes
If you ask Hermes, he swears he's been aware of the player the entire time. No one really knows the truth though, as he doesn't divulge information about you often, even to his ever-curious family. Hermes is a trickster by heart, and he takes great pleasure in asking Zagreus question after question about you, most of which Zagreus doesn't answer, for many reasons.
His dialogue is much more concerning, and it's most likely the first time you think there's something seriously wrong with the game.
"Hey coz, you think you're ever gonna reach them, this...person of yours. 'Cuz if you do, I would love to meet them as well! Thinking about it, it might just be easier to get to them myself. You wouldn't like it if I did, would you coz.
Zeus
The God of thunder obviously notices the shift in his children's behavior, though he's one of the later Gods to notice the players presence. This could be because of weak connection the Olympians have to Zagreus down in hell, but he doesn't mind. In fact, Zeus takes more of a supportive father like role when he comes to understand Zagreus's obsession.
His dialogue is strangely paternal, dark undertones seeping through every word.
"Dear Nephew, I have to say, you're proving steadfast in your devotion towards this unknown figure, it's comforting to see you so enamored with someone. I have to say, if you ever do find a way to bring them home, they would be swifty welcomed into Olympus along with you."
Poseidon
The God of the Ocean waste no time providing Zagreus help to get to you. Like his brother, he takes a fatherly outlook on Zagreus and his obsession. He doesn't see a thing wrong with encouraging his nephew's feelings, even if they're less than savory.
Poseidon's dialogue is similar to Zeus's, but heavier handed in its message.
"Come on, little Hades, escaping my brother's domain won't be that easy! You have to work harder than that if you want to reach your beloved. I know your father is probably less than pleased to hear about them, but don't worry, your better uncle will support you. Here--take this, it will surely aid you on your journey!"
Dionysus
The God of wine takes a while to notice the player, whether from his own ineptitude or drunkenness, no one knows. What they do know, is Dionysus loves to talk on and on about the player. Once he first takes notice you, he never shuts up about it. His siblings assume it's a product of drunken ramblings, but they couldn't be more wrong.
Honestly, his dialogue is the most unnerving, since he's talking to you, not Zagreus.
"Hey you. Y'know you don't have to hide behind the prince here, me and my family on Olympus will wholeheartedly except you. Just say the world and will find a way to get to you. Hey--hey! Zagreus, I was just kidding."
Aphrodite
Aphrodite finds out last because she isn't actually related to Zagreus, and so his connection to him is much weaker than the others. She probably finds out when Ares expresses his interest in you. Though when she does finally set her sights on you, she becomes enamored. Not just with you, but with the deep adoration Zagreus feels for you. It's a type of love so raw, that it could bring her to tears.
Her dialogue, like Dionysus, directly addresses the player, and it filled with sweet words that could quickly turn dark,
"Oh, you truly don't realize how enamored the little prince is for you. It's cute, really, sooner or later you're going to have some gods wrapped around your fingers as well if you're not careful. Oh--don't worry little godling, no one is going to take them away from you."
---
A/n: I know I didn't include Demeter, but I couldn't really think of anything for her since I still haven't gotten passed Hades second phase (I know, fake gamer alert). Anyway, I hope the dialogue is convincing, I really enjoy writing it. Please let me know if I forgot anyone.

Dark Platonic! Camp Half-Blood x Reader x Dark! Greek Gods|| Part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Percy almost lost his mind when he searched everywhere in camp half-blood and didn't find you anywhere.
And discovers that Apollo is the one who kidnapped you with the help of Hermes.
Yeah, that didn't please Percy especially when Poseidon refused to bring you back, and decided that it is best for you to reside on mount Olympus with him and the other deities.
So, Percy and the other campers took it upon themselves to rescue you and bring you back to camp half-blood.
Meanwhile, you are enjoying your time on Olympus with your father and his family.
Many gifts were given to you by the gods and goddesses especially Aphrodite.
Zeus is thinking about turning you into a full goddess.
Poseidon is happy to have you on Olympus by his side, but he can't help but feel extreme jealousy towards the others and possessiveness over you.
To the point where he would lock you up sometimes.
Maybe you should have stayed with Percy, it would be much safer.
Percy managed to get to Olympus with the help of Hades who just wants to spite Zeus.
The other demigods are waiting for any threat to attack if negotiations fail.
"Why have you come here, boy?" Zeus demands, glaring at your brother.
"I came here to take back my sister" your brother announces while staring at you as if you are the only one that matters.
The Gods and Goddesses start arguing the moment those words leave Percy's lips.
"She is safer with us"
"Staying in that camp will ruin her beauty"
"The only place she is safe is by my side, I'm her brother!"
They continue to argue until you shut them all up by yelling.
"Stop, the only one allowed to make such a choice is father, considering that he is my guardian"
Everyone turns towards Poseidon, waiting for his reply.
Zeus and the others were confident that he would choose for you to stay on Olympus.
But Poseidon decided otherwise.
"Percy, you can take (Y/n) and leave"
The silence looks that Poseidon gives his son is enough to tell Percy everything.
Percy knows that he will be forced to discuss sharing 'spending time with you' later with his father
But, you will only be spending time with your father and brother from now on.

Tumblr media
A lot of demigods have lost people and places dear to them, it was nothing new for a lot of the faces you saw during the holidays. Yet, it was hard to get used to losing things.
You missed the time you spent at home. Of course, you loved camp, you loved your friends, but every time the holidays came around you felt homesick to a place you would never return to. The worst part was remembering the specific traditions you used to have with your parent - and knowing that you wouldn’t get to do those this year again. You often go through this period fine, a little high strung sometimes but with your friends, and boyfriends, on your side you would get distracted enough to only get sad when you’re alone.
And it felt wrong to celebrate the holidays without your traditions, it felt weird to bring up your traditions and it was simply hard to communicate what you wanted. Maybe you wanted to be back home, never having known demigod life, or maybe you just wanted a hug and baked a specific recipe you used to make every year, or see your living room decorated specifically like it used to be.
Either way, the holidays come and go every year and it seems that today was simply the day that your brain decided to be sad and homesick. Thus, you figured you would just spend some time wallowing in your misery on your own instead of bringing down the general mood around camp. Maybe a part of your reasoning was that the more happy atmosphere of camp would simply make you sadder and feel worse.
However, your boyfriend seemed to have a different idea. You see, your sour mood around the holidays didn’t go unnoticed by your lovers, as you seemed to close off a little more each day from them. Nico especially wanted to make the holidays a bit special. In the previous years, before he stayed at camp year round, the holidays had always been tinted by grief and sadness. He barely remembered how he used to celebrate when his mother and Bianca were still around, but Will and you had slowly been giving him new hope. Perhaps, with the two of you on his side, he could slowly move on, and one of the steps he wanted to take was to rejuvenate his energy around Christmas. Therefore he had made some plans for the three of you.
“I’m not really in the mood to go out today, Nico.” you looked away from your boyfriend, “I’m sorry,”
“Please?” Nico wasn’t one to beg, but he really wanted to spend time with you, “Will’s already in my cabin.” he offered as he held out his hand to you.
“I don’t want to bring your mood down,” you explained, but you slowly took his hand anyway, unable to tell him no.
“That’s fine,” Nico grinned a little, “If there is anyone who would bring the mood down it would be me and you know it.” Then his face flushed a little, “besides, it wouldn’t be the holidays without my family.”
“Your family?” you asked before, softly, “oh,” Your heart stammered, he had meant you and Will as his family, you looked at him fondly, “I love you, Nico.” You stepped closer before softly sharing a kiss with him.
When you finally entered the Hades cabin you didn’t notice much to be off. Will was laying on Nico’s bed, with his feet still on the floor. You sat next to him, putting your hand on his hair. Will smiled at you.
“Nico got you out of your cabin?” Will asked, grabbing the hand that was on his hair and pressing a kiss to the palm as you hummed.
“He had some rather good arguments,” you elaborated, “like loving me, and loving you.”
“I didn’t take for our sunshine to be a poet,” Will sat up as Nico sat down beside him. They kissed softly, “But your talents are uncountable,” Will finished his sentence as he broke away. Nico had a blush on his face as he stared at his boyfriend.
As you sat there for a moment in silence you realized that for a moment the never ending sadness you had felt the past few days had gone, chased away by simply being near your boyfriends. Perhaps you should note down that your loved ones would make you feel better, as much as loved ones could also make you ache. You shuffled your body closer to Will’s, and felt his warmth against your side.
“So what’s the plan?” You asked, looking at Nico as he came out of his little daze.
“Well, I thought maybe,” he hesitated for a second, the slightest sliver of doubt in his mind, “that we might celebrate the holidays with the three of us. As in, we make our own tradition?” he suggested, and Will nodded slowly.
“My mom and I used to write each other small poems,” Will said, “Or I guess songs, sort of, each year.” Will then smiled softly, “Well, we still do. She sends them in the mail and I use Hermes Express to get mine wherever she is. It’s a small way we communicate. Although, the three of us don’t have to do that, it’s honestly a bit private for me.” Will admitted.
“Did you have any traditions, Nico?” You asked.
Nico shrugged slowly, “I don’t remember a lot, and never really had a celebration since coming to camp.” Then he flushed slightly, “I used to go to McDonalds, and simply get a festive meal.”
“Festive?” Will poked Nico’s side, “What, do they add Christmas lights to it?” Nico shook his head.
“No, but the people there,” he sighed, “I suppose I just sought out the energy, okay?”
“You’re cute,”  you told him, leaning over Will to kiss Nico’s cheek. On your way back Will grabbed your cheek and pressed a kiss to it.
“What about you?” Will let your face go. You thought about it for a moment, but it didn’t take long  as you had been sitting with these feelings for a while.
“There wasn’t much outside the standard things-” you sighed, “I suppose for us what mattered most was to spend the time together.” after another beat you resumed, “I mean, we always made a dessert together but the recipe changed every year,” you laughed at the memory, “we really should’ve written it down somewhere. I don’t even remember the name.”
Nico perked up a little, “Do you remember the ingredients?” but you shook your head.
“I only remember the taste when the nectar tastes like it,” You leaned on Will’s shoulder, “Which isn’t always.”
“Well, we can just bake a different dessert each year until we find it, starting now.” Will suggested and you rolled your eyes, “That would take ages,” you objected, but Nico ignored you.
“Where will we bake?” Nico asked, “Last time I checked anything that could serve as a kitchen here is a bit off-limits.”
“I’m pretty sure Leo can give us something to work with.” Will said, and you felt the trembles of his voice through his chest.
“What, he’ll let us bake on top of him? He’ll lay still for twenty minutes?” You joked.
“No, we’ll lock him in a small, metal box until the food is cooked,” Nico said and you laughed.
Nonetheless, after you made your way to Bunker Nine it only took Leo half an hour to have a baking station set up, with the condition that he would also get a part of the dessert.
“And kisses?” He puckered his lips, and as you stepped towards him, Nico was faster, pressing a rock he had on hand to Leo’s mouth. Leo backed away, as he grimaced.
“Hey! That’s unhygienic!” he objected, but Nico just smiled widely.
“I dunno, stones are rather tasty if you ask me.” Nico put the rock on the table.
“Yeah, you need minerals in your diet Leo.” Will chimed in from next to you. Leo looked unimpressed as he waved you off.
“I’ll be somewhere on the other side working on Festus, just make sure to call me when your dessert is ready.”
And as you had limited resources - even Leo couldn’t magic all the ingredients from his workshop, and the Stolls only had a small stash of possibilities (that you could afford) - the dessert you made was rather simple. But that didn’t matter, even though for sure it was not what you used to make, it was special. Not perfect, and it still hurt, but keeping your traditions, carrying them over to your new life, it was special. And you knew you would keep doing it - keep carrying that which you got taught by previous family and friends, all because you loved them and they loved you. You’ll unconsciously carry them with you, their deeds and only when you miss them will you notice the print they left on you. But for now, keeping traditions from nostalgic times was all you needed to remember that even if there are people you no longer can meet, they will always stay with you.

Camp got new campers every year so it wasn’t like they thought anything of you. The only thing is, you looked too confused to be there, everything Chiron said you would would give him the strangest look. Percy happened to be passing by, you got a tour of camp just like he did. And you were a bit to loud with your words- and let’s face it. He’s a little nosy.
“So you’re saying all the gods just drop their kids off here- or, don’t give them attention until they do something they deem worthy?” You ask like you had no care.
“Really a great idea. Half gods with daddy and mommy issues running around in the same place. Doesn’t sound dangerous at all.” You comment and continued walking with a eye roll.
Percy was interested in you right after that. You made him laugh and shared his views when he first came here, and he still thought them. He didn’t have to wait long to introduce himself since you left Hermes cabin in a rush to get away from people.
You didn’t want to talk to him at first. He tried to introduce himself but you brushed him off and said you weren’t willing to speak.
“I know it’s a lot to take in, but I’m sure you’re parent will claim you.”
You stopped in your tracks and turn around and started to flail your arms. “I am human! I have no godly parent, not like you-. Honestly I wish I was because I would be less concerned about my future.”
“That’s new.” A girl’s voice popped up from behind you and out of no where. A girl with a cap in her hands yanked down from her head, she looked intimidating to you.
“Can you all do that? Just appear out of no where?” You asked slightly scared but amazed.
“Let’s go back to the part where you’re human,” Percy stepped forward like you were a bomb of some sort ready to explode. “Why are you here?” You scuffed and shrugged your shoulders.
“So, i happened to eat a crystal I found in the woods behind my house. It was weird and it had me hypnotized, surprised I didn’t break any teeth, and the next minute I know I’m seeing the dead. And these voices are talking to me, then I’m moved off to this camp.”
“Wait the dead?”
“The gods say I need training before I came to them. Which is weird because you think they would train me themselves…do you guys know what I should do? I have no clue why they want me.” You look at both of them for help but Percy is just staring with his mouth open and shocked. Annabeth looks annoyed and looking you up and down.
“Don’t piss them off.” she was going to be great help.
Months go by and you grow closer to the trio. it was strange how you seemed to have more strength then a human, and could kept up in training with them. not once did you ever get claimed and it still surprised them to this day how you just become something out of the blue. They tried so hard to get their parents attention but you just- stumped upon something and had the gods interests?
yes, you were human. but no longer a human boy, but a god in training.
“did it have to be him? he’s more chaotic then your son Poseidon.” zues rubbed his temple as the gods watch down on you.
“fate is a funny thing brother.“
“I for one love the kid.” ares smirks as you trip percy and let out a vicious scream. nothing evil or mean behind it, just a adrenaline rush. but ares didn’t take it that why, you were going to be a monster.
“I’ll bless him soon, he should stay in my cabin.” Aphrodite smiles and played with her hair.
“We all know he’s basically my child, the dead thing? Yeah, he’ll be staying with me in the underworld when it’s time.” Hades smirks at all of them.
and just like that the gods are starting a war all over again.

Percy has been in at this camp stuff for a week now and he was just not loving it. From the overcrowded cabin 11 to Clarisse's relentless bugging, he just wanted to go home. This was his home now, yes, but that does not mean he can't yearn for better. And on top of all that, it seems like he's good at absolutely nothing. If there was a competition at being bad at everything he would still somehow end up in second place.
Today was no better. Luke, Counselor of the Hermes cabin, has decided that maybe Percy could take on a sword fight. He couldn't. Not like he could go against the best swordsman in the last 300 years anyway. After what felt like hours, Luke finally gave the boy a break and Percy felt like he could breathe. Only for a second that is, because his friend decided to take him to a new area of the camp.
Walking to a small building only lightly connected to the infirmary was rather ominous. While everywhere in the camp where people, this shack could be abandoned and he would not be surprised. His friend. however, walked faster than normally, seemingly excited to show him what's inside.
They stopped by the open door and Percy could finally see that it was not abandoned and the little two-story house was, indeed, occupied. Looking at his friend with suspicion, who now sports a wide grin on his face, Percy could not help but think there was more to it than Luke said.
Walking in, Luke chimes the bell that sits on the top of the door frame. The girl who, until now, was checking out the shelves of what seems to be medicine and chemicals turns around with a confused look. She wore the same ‘ camp uniform ‘ as everyone else, confirming to Percy that she was one of them as well. Although her shirt seemed to have switched color schemes and was black with an orange print of the camp name.
“ Hello Sweetheart, how's the inventory going?” Luke asks and pushes Percy slightly in front of him, not something he appreciates. The girl, unamused, does not answer his question. Instead, she answers him with her own. “ What brings you here, Castellan? Last time I checked you did not need allergy medication.” Chuckle could be heard from his friend. Percy, not interested in their bickering, looks around the room. Small table by the door with a stack of paper, a black mysterious jar, and what Percy recognizes as an old land-line phone. One wall of the room was just a shelf with what he now knows for sure is medicine with a door at the end. By the window, there was an old medical bed, and next to it, stood, by Percy's standards, an unstable chair.
A hand on his shoulder snaps him out and he turns his head back to the girl. “ So what's wrong with you?” She asks and motions him to sit on what seems to be a more sturdy version of the same chair he just saw. “ Other than that I suck at everything and my father not bothering to claim me? nothing much really.” Laugher was heard from the two older campers.
“ No, I meant like, why are you here guys? If you were training with Lu here, you might have some scratches.” She points to Luke, who seems to be proud just of the fact that she acknowledges him.  Before he can answer she continues, “Although if you're seriously hurt, maybe you should visit the Apollo kids, I ain’t no nurse, really.”
“ No need for that, we just need some band-aids.” Luke proclaims and pats his chest where his heart is. “ You have bandaids in your cabin, and I know for sure, I saw your siblings steal some. “ she snapped back softly at his friend.’ It's in their nature’ Luke says under his nose and takes a few steps to the girl putting his arm around her shoulders. “ Sweetheart here is a terrible nurse-”
“Hey! I am an excellent necromancer!”
“Too bad that your patient is still alive, Sweets,” Luke argues back at the girl. She just shakes her head and walks behind her desk. Luke follows closely behind her like a magnet was pulling him over. Percy watches as she opens a drawer and pulls out the biggest box of band-aids he has ever seen. “ What kind do you want, em…” She looks at him kinda awkwardly.
“Percy.” “ Right, Percy, do you want Spiderman band-aid? It's a big hit with the younger campers.” She smiles and pulls out an impressive collection of Spiderman band-aids. “ Ah, no, normal ones are fine.” I watch as a pout appears on her face as she puts them back and starts to look through the box as if looking for something.
“I want the Spiderman one.” Chimes in Luke who is now leaning over this girl. “ You can get the boring ones, Castellan, I don't care.” It was now Luke's turn to pout. “ What cabin are you from?”  Percy asks, wanting to learn some more about the girl that has his friend so smitten. Her eyes look up at him before going back to her box.
“ I don't have a cabin, I sleep on the second floor. There is a staircase in the back.” She says as it is the most normal thing ever. Which it was, just not in camp half-blood. That confuses Percy, from what he learned at the camp so far, everyone that has been claimed either has a cabin or just sleeps in Hermeses one. So that is exactly why he asks. “ Why don't you sleep in Hermes cabin?” The girl straightens her posture, seeming in thought. His friend hugged her from behind around her shoulders. They remind him of an old married couple.
“Well, there are cabins for the twelve Olympians. My dad has no throne on Olympus. He kinda does his own thing down under.” “ Australia?” “No Percy, the underworld.” She says though giggles and wiggles herself from the hug. She makes her way forward to Percy and stands in front of him carefully peeling parts of the band-aid.
“ Your dad is Hades?” Hum leaves her as an answer. Focusing on placing the band-aid right above his eyebrow where he scratched himself earlier during training with Luke. When she's done, she turns to a black jar on her table and opens it. To Percy's surprise, she pulls out a lollipop and gives it to him. “You're good to go fighter, Don't stay here longer than you need to!” She sings and ushers the boy out of the chair and to the door. Percy turns to his friend,
“ Luke, are you not coming?” he asks waiting for him to answer. Luke gives him a look of fake thought, Percy knows it's fake because he, himself used it many times back at the academy. Luke shakes his head and smiles.
“No, I haven't been treated by my nurse yet.” The girl groans and snaps her head to the sky. Percy just shrugs and walks out of the building. As he opens his lollipop, he turns his head back to look at his friends.
He can see Luke being peppered with kisses on his face. When the girl moves he can see a band-aid with hearts that now decorates the scar on his face. Percy just chuckles and moves on, determined to find Grover or Annabeth to tell them what he witnessed. He failed to notice his bright blue bandaid with bubbles on it.
