Alright. I've seen a lot of posts arguing that Jack Drake was a good dad.

I do agree that he's not as bad as fandom likes to make him out to be. Tim's parents emotionally neglected him, but not criminally. He was sent off to bordering school.

As far as Jack, that man for sure was emotionally abusive to Tim. I don't think that was on purpose. I think Jack truly did love and care for his son. He was, until the end, just real shit at it.

Ripping TVs off of walls, brushing past concerns your child brings up, threatening someone your child cares about with a gun in front of the kid, allowing your anger to control your actions/reactions, enforcing rigid relationship roles ("I'm your dad. You'll respect me!") without putting work into the relationship, looming over your kid threateningly, and referring to your son as property is hella not great.

It's obvious that Jack's not a great dad, but I think he was learning to be better. Right before he died, he started listening to Tim. He was respecting his son's wishes and autonomy.

Some of his not so great actions were done out of love and fear for Tim's safety.

Some of them weren't.

The true tragedy of Jack Drake is that Tim will never know if his father would've changed for him. Tim will never know if the improvements he saw with his dad were steps towards a better relationship, or if they were a momentary interest.

Jack was finally starting to be like a father to Tim. They could've had a decent relationship.

Captain Boomerang ripped that from Tim.

This is such a hyper specific ask but other therians, can you tag your police dogs? Most of the time they are just posted under "working dog" and I'll be honest, I Hate seeing cop dogs. They are used for almost nothing except violence and the history of when and why they started to be used is actually horrorifying.

Tag your police dogs, I have the tag blocked for a reason and I feel bad blocking people for something as Lil as this but idk I've seen an influx on cop dog posts.

They are incredibly triggering (to me and my general circle at least) to PoC and specifically Black folks. Police dogs have never been a cool or fun thing to our communities. /nm /srs

My zutara au world is them having 3 kids and they get up to the most mischievous things. The trio are unseparable and always together thinkin of dumb things to get into without being caught.

It’s all fun and games until auntie Azula catches em and proceeds to join them. Like “what are you guppies up to??” Scaring them while the oldest says “nothin’…” only for Azula to tell them that their father keeps the sweets high up on a counter in the royal kitchen. They get excited about it while she gives a nod that “I didn’t see nothing” while they run off for it.

I did a fun little dmc body headcanon exploration modeled off those Olympic athlete body comparison pictures that I always think are so cool, also threw in some scarring headcanons?Obviously demonic healing works wonders but I'd imagine there would be some faint marks left behind..

I'd imagine Dante's are the most prominent but Vergil probably has the most, Nero's winning in the severity category with his arm though and I don't think anyone wants to argue

Bonus eyeshape headcanons, I think Vergils eye color changed after his time in hell and originally matched Dante's, further confusion for Nero, no they do not explain this to him

Steve trying to make a good impression on Uncle Wayne the first time their hospital visits to Eddie overlap by showing up freshly showered and neatly dressed, turtleneck covering the scar on his neck and his jeans ironed, he even took a painkiller so he would be able to stay longer and help eddie get around, only for it to backfire because Wayne looks at him, then at Eddie all chewed up, and thinks “how the fuck did Harrington come out with barely a scratch on him?” Hell, even the Henderson kid has a sprained ankle while Steve looks ready to hit the back nine. It infuriates Wayne and he gets super protective of Eddie.
