A list of diagnosed disorders I have and I will educate on under the title.

AUTISM

I'm what most would consider 'low functioning', meaning I'm nonverbal and I need more help than most. My autism causes me to be sensitive to things like light, sound, and texture, and even routine changes. My meltdowns can get violent, and I'm very noticeably autistic. But remember, thats just me, others have different experiences. If you've met an autistic person, you've met just one autistic person. Also, please don't use 'differently abled' or 'special needs' on me. Some might not be offended, but I despise those terms.

Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder

I also have ADHD, which contrasts a lot with my autism. ADHD makes me want everything done immediately before I lose motivation, while autism makes me need a schedule. I'm more restless than hyperactive, and I tend to fidget a lot. Again, this is just me, others have different experiences.

Dyslexia

I'm dyslexic, which doesn't mean I can't spell, I just have trouble sometimes. I may write my J's backwards, or my B's may become D's, but thats just the simple stuff. There are times I can't read or write because my brain won't function, there are times it takes hours for me to process what someone says, and there are times where I get so frustrated with myself that I have a meltdown.

Major Depressive Disorder

It's not as simple as periods of sadness for me. There are times I can't get out of bed for days, there are times I literally cannot shower for weeks, and all I want to do is sleep. It's better now that I'm on medication, but when I was 9, I was su¡c¡dal because of my MDD.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

PTSD makes me have panic attacks, flashbacks, meltdowns, and depressive episodes. Flashbacks are more complicated than shows display them. They're feeling like you're in the moment, but knowing you aren't. They're feeling and hearing everything that happened, but still being in an environment. My PTSD caused the next disorder in line.

Depersonalization-Derealization

This causes me to feel as though I'm not real, or I'm out of my own body. It's much more complicated, though, as it's a form of dissociation. I can't even begin to explain it to someone who doesn't have it. It can not only cause panic attacks, but there are times I'll even feel as though my surroundings aren't real, or were replaced.

Colourblindness

I'm red-green colourblind, meaning I can't see anything with red or green hues. Pink looks grey, green looks yellow, red looks brown, and purple looks blue. The only colours that I really can see are blue and yellow. I can't explain other forms, I'll leave that to those who do suffer those other ones (I would like to learn about monochrome colourblindness if anyone has it!). I actually found out in kindergarten because I coloured the grass yellow and the sky purple in a poster contest.

Heterochromia

Despite being what most would call a nice quirk, my heterochromia has caused some vision problems. My right eye (brown) is much worse visually than my left eye (green), to the point where I'm almost completely blind. My optometrist confirmed it is because of the genetic mutation of heterochromia that caused it, so despite looking cool, it sucks.

does anyone else remember when soulmate AUs were really popular and people were coming up with concepts that sounded like something out of a disturbing indie psychological drama

#🐉#this isnt to say that i think theyre BAD concepts just that romance was the wrong genre for them #like the one where you dont see color until you meet the right people and sometimes one of the characters is colorblind for angst? that #would make such an interesting concept for a fucked up movie #or the one where you feel your soulmates pain. that would be SO fucked up to actually explore. i would love to see that.

i may have looked too much into leaks for this patch but in one of neuvi's companion voice lines he talked at length about how vishaps losing the ability to see color as they continue to evolve and also about life lessons he got from vishaps and his voice lines also talked about the old ritual of taking a sip of blood from a perished vishap so they'll be remembered and never truly gone and while wrio is confirmed to be human that just so happens to be colorblind (it's canon, see: cerulean gem furnishing) it's hard not to see the link and wonder if neuvi treats wrio like a vishap and the end of the voice line even has the option telling him that one shouldn't wait to love and be loved in return and he says 'if only people could actually do that, it would be wonderful. failure to do so only floods the world with sorrow' I WANT TO SLAM THESE TWO WITH A CAR-

also, despite his punk rock wolf guy aesthetic, wriothesley's official animal spirit is a shark and you know what else looks like shark? rimebitter vishap, who has the element of you guess it: cryo.

i think from the fact that there's yet any explanation why neuvillette was born human, he finds himself in this strange limbo where he's disconnected from the past (if he is didn't retain his dragon form, what caused him to be impure? what happened in his previous incarnation?) and he's also has been very vocal about how he doesn't fit in and he doesn't wanna fit in have you seen him without his dumb hair clip? it's weird with the present, and after years of having lone identity crisis, he met wriothesley who just so happen to bear quite similar traits with vishaps, but he's human, just like how neuvillette is also human.

i can see how this might pique neuvillette's interest on wriothesley because he's unbeknowingly, the most familiar thing that reminds neuvillette of his puzzling, cloudy past. and who knows what will happen to these sad old men, as no human really want to be alone and will instinctively reach out for the other person. maybe there will be selfish desire, to treat wriothesley like something he's not just because it's more comfortable and convenient since he's already close enough to be perceived as vishap in neuvillete's dragon mind.

but neuvillette's heart is more human than he realized, and it might've had different approach in keeping wriothesley close.

Projekt Red's arts/why she walks on walls

So, I went down another rabbit hole for Red. I'll be making more posts soon but yeah this one is what it says on the title.

It's based off of how Red's arts are depicted within Arknight's animated trailer and similarities with her Skill 2.

So there should be no spoilers but nevertheless it'll be under the cut.

So this is the trailer wherein we see Red in her full animated glory, alongside an interesting depiction of her arts which I'll post an gif of just for easier access going forwards:

I'll also post a bad gif of Red's Skill 2:

Now, on the surface there's not much too similar between these two animations besides the elements of red within.

It's mostly because of two things:

The Wolf image in her Skill 2 animation

Her skill animation is her coming down while in the animated pv she's going up

But I don't think that they're too different when you look at individual frames. What do I mean? Well, I'll show a sequence of frames, in order, from the animated pv:

As she runs a red cross appears in front of her that when close enough creates an upwards force, launching her up and creating red energy.

So then look at how her Skill 2 works:

She comes from the sky, her ability activates and there's an eruption of red energy which degrades quickly. Something which does happen in the animated pv as well:

After the initial explosion, it lingers for a bit before disappearing, like like her Skill 2 does. It's like Skill is the reverse of the Animated PV, activating an explosion on her landing instead of using it to launch herself up.

Think of it maybe like how Blaze can heat up the air in the area she's going to land after jumping out of the dropship, allowing her to cushion her fall. Red is creating this upwards force to cushion her landing. Or just to scare her enemies, which I mean she is an ambush expert.

But that's not the only connection I want to make, because this is cool and all (maybe you can imagine just how cool) but I said this answers her wall walking, right? And yes. Because of a moment that the pv hides quite well.

See when she launches herself up, she turns her body midair. Specifically so that her legs face the right wall:

And then:

There's a staticky effect and it appears like she's been pulled onto the wall.

And then she jumps from that wall to the other wall, the lightning disappears.

And it's her own strength that she uses to propel herself and is able to latch onto the side of the wall without being affected by gravity.

This is a clear showcase of her using her arts to magnetize herself to the wall.

And since both the pv and her skill 2 animation depicts her using a burst of red energy I feel confident that the pv is more accurate than initially thought.

Maybe compounded by this frame of her skill 2:

Which I would paste if I could but I exceeded the image count. Anyway, it is up above as the first frame of her Skill 2 which you can see, before the red explosion that there's a red blur following her and dark red triangles.

Now I know it's a stretch to claim this blur is the static that she uses in the pv but it is a thought as at this point she hasn't used the red explosion below her and it's not on her Skill 1.

As for the red triangles, they're appear frequently in her Skill 2 animation. Particularly at the beginning and end. And appearing before the red explosion I personally consider interesting. Like whether they're similar to the red cross in the pv.

Now, that's all I have regarding the wall walking Red exhibits and I can't post any more images. However, I want to point out the implications of this pv being canon accurate.

Specifically: Red being able to great such a powerful upwards force.

Because it's not mentioned once that this is how her arts work. Nor even that she can use arts. She literally has a "Normal" in Arts Adaptability which I believe is the worst besides the Sui Siblings' "Flawed" aka non-existent.

And personally I feel that her having the ability to create such an upwards force would be quite powerful.

Imagine how useful it would be for her to get around. She can use it to quickly ascend buildings. If she can use it horizontally and not just vertically, she can use it to dodge attacks, cover great distances quickly.

She can likely use it to do such things on her fellow operators or better yet, on her enemies. Like a Pusher Specialist without a fire hose or water canon. Able to just create a upwards force on an enemy.

I could say 'imagine the Alter possibilities' but I shan't. Just that I would love for this to be a canon ability of hers and I hope we do see it sometime in game.

And that I hope this came close to answering the question of why Red can walk on walls.

I kinda want to put my eye color to a poll bc no one can agree with whether they're green, brown, or hazel as a compromise (the woman at th DMV for my first state ID agreed with me that they were green so that's what they legally are, my father who is confirmed red-green colorblind to this day insists our eyes are brown regardless, a kind woman in the homeless shelter said they were definitely green, and my bestie who has trouble making out some green shades is willing to capitulate that they've got quite a bit of green to them but are still hazel)

But the way facial recognition technology is going, I'm hesitant to put something that can help circumvent wearing masks
