I really want to draw this with my oc doing this to sal, it’s something really emotional I came up with 🥲🥹🥹

In this mini fanfic Y/n gets to see her boyfriend Sal’s face reveal for real after dating for so long and they both get emotional…

Y/n and Sal have been dating since high school, and Y/n has never seen her boyfriend’s face before.

When she kisses him it’s from his lips when he lifts up his mask, Y/n loved Sal and he loved her but was just afraid what she would think of seeing the real him.

After the many dates they’ve been on, prom and graduation Y/n has been with Sal and being their for him emotionally and physically.

Y/n really is a sweet girl and a very sweet girlfriend to Sal but she knew she couldn’t compete with Sal on him being the best one in the relationship.

Even if he denies it, Sal is a very considerate and loving boyfriend towards Y/n that makes her blush every time no matter what.

Now, Y/n was sitting on her knees in front of sal in his bedroom, they were hanging out watch horror flicks and smoking until Sal decided he wanted Y/n to see his face.

Y/n sitting in front of sal as she raises her hand to feel sal’s face underneath his prosthetic.

Sal was cross legged sitting in front of Y/n, he gently helds her hand as to say

“Are you sure?…”

It was obvious, Sal was nervous and worried if Y/n saw his real face she wouldn’t want him anymore.

That Y/n would straight up just leave him, for someone better despite being high school sweethearts.

Y/n rubs her thumb underneath sal prosthetic to reassure him she wanted this.

“it’s okay, Sal…” she says with her silky sweet voice.

That sweet voice of hers that always made him melt, She was so kind and sweet and her voice was always calm and bring peace to him.

Y/n slowly unbuckles his mask as Sal shakes, she puts his mask down as she starts see his real face.

Y/n eyes shine like stars as she sees Sal face, his scars, his teeth, his glass eye, missing flesh and his missing nose.

Sal was getting really nervous from her staring and felt shameful.

“She thinks I’m a freak doesn’t she…”

“Of course, she does…I’m a freak…a Monster”

“Why did I do this…she’s going to leave me…”

He was no knight in shining armor and no Prince Charming but she thought he was beautiful and still thought of him as her hero even if he wasn’t perfect good looking.

Y/n loved Sal for his personality, not his face so when tears fell down as she smiled and laughed as she touched his face.

Her face was red as a strawberry, “ I can see your freckles!” She giggled as Sal is shocked and didn’t expect that reaction.

“Sal, you’re so handsome and so cute!” Y/n squeal as she smile sheepishly and now Sal was starting to blush.

“H-Handsome….cute?!” He was baffled as his ears became pink, Sal was extra nervous now.

“Y-Y/n… I know what I look like. You don’t have to lie for me-“ he was cut off by Y/n before he can ramble.

“I’m not lying Sal Fisher! I really do think you’re handsome and I like your face….it brings out your cuteness” she says.

“But…my face you don’t think I’m a freak?” He asked his girlfriend as she smiles at him.

“of course not, sally I’m not dating you for your looks!” She says as she kisses his cheek.

Sal started to cry as tears fell and that made Y/n cry with him, he was just so happy.

“I really thought…you were going to break up with me because of my face but you like my face!” He laugh and crack a smile as he cried.

Y/n held her boyfriend in her arms, Sal then looks as her and Y/n leans in and kisses him.

Sal was caught off guard when Y/n kissed him on the lips and he smiles and kisses back as he hears her cute giggles.

Y/n wraps her arms around sal’s neck as he holds her by her waist and he pulls away.

“Did you…really see freckles on my face?…” he asks sheepishly

“yes, I do handsome~” she says as she winks and makes sal blush red as a tomato and hides his face in her chest out of embarrassment.

“ how did I land a girl like you…” he says as he hugs her and she smiles. “how did I ever land a perfect loving boyfriend like you Sally?” She asks as she puts her forehead on sal’s hair.

Y/n and Sally face held each other for a long time for hours until they resume their movie date night ;)

As I’ve previously established

I honestly think sals love language would be quality time or words of affirmation

(Definitely words of affirmation)

If you ever had any concern or thing that was weighing on your mind Sal would most definitely reassure you

And successfully at that

I’m sure many would believe being around someone who compliments you all the time would feel insincere and not genuine

But Sal manages to convey his sincerity each time and again

He of course loves spending time with you too

He just loves being around you and just your presence overall

Sal is open with affection and it’s never really bothered him

Well, atleast it was that way when you were friends.

When you two became a couple he’d freeze up and would fluster a bit when being confronted with more romantic gestures

hes still open and willing to receive and give affection

As I’ve stated, Sal really enjoys your company

It’s one of his favorite things and when you first start dating in highschool you guys often spend time in his room and just cuddle there

It became a habit that transcended into your young adult years.

He was of course hesitant when cuddling but soon relaxed and realized there was no reason to be so panicked, he learned that he really enjoyed being in your arms.

When/if you date in highschool then if your identity isn’t what you were assigned at birth and you show pda whether it’s a quick peck on sals mask or a warm hug

(Or if you’re a guy, same as Sal)

Then Travis is your number one hater

He sees that and calls you guys slurs (obviously)

He’s mostly insignificant especially when you poke fun at him and say stuff that riles him up that ultimately drives him away.

The friend group can be a bit teasing at times

Especially when Ashley catches Sal inching his hand towards yours and you intertwining them

Ash automatically forces Larry to look and they’re just so supportive

Even then, you two often hug and cuddle a lot

Ok so we all know Sal is absolutely reluctant to removing his mask in public

However, in private he feels more comfortable

Especially since you’re not only friends, but dating now.

It was only a matter of time that kissing would come into the conversation

Your guys first kiss would go two ways

The first being planned by the both of you

Or just spontaneous

Either way it’s very awkward yet sweet! 😭

The first way would be when you and Sal were just casually hanging out

His dad was out and that left the two of you guys alone

(I envision your first kiss would be when you’re in high school)

You and Sal had obvious wanted to kiss each other for awhile

And although you’d kiss him on the forehead, knuckles, and on his mask

Mostly because you’d forget his cheek was covered, sometimes not

Regardless, you both felt ready and Sal had invited you over

It was so painfully awkward ngl but regardless he took his mask off and y’all kissed

He was honestly nervous and a bit hesitant cuz although he knew you wouldn’t mind he still couldn’t shake off the feeling that you wouldn’t like it.

He even asked you if it was good enough 😭😭😭😭

The second scenario would be natural except when you forget Sal still has his mask on and you both get awkward especially since you accidentally kissed his mask.

It’s still sweet tho cuz you can actually see him being bashful instead of picking up on it from his voice and body language.

Sal is such a sweet guy and is always asking if it’s fine to hug or kiss you

Not always verbally, mostly stopping and giving you a chance to run away lol

LOVES physical affection too! Hold his hand, link arms with him, kiss his prosthetic, hug him often- he loves it all.

He’s a bit self conscious and might be timid when showing you physical affection so feel free to take the lead! Initiate the touch first and he’ll become more confident and return the gesture ten fold!

Just don’t stop touching him okay? If anything, touch him more! As long as he has you in his grasp or can feel you hanging on him somewhere, he feels secure.

Plz plz plz leave him love notes everywhere and anywhere! Sticky notes on his gearboy, long thoughtful letters left folded up on his dresser, more sticky notes on his bathroom mirror about how gorgeous he is.

And he leaves them all in their respective spots, just letting you add more. He can’t stand to remove the notes, it hurts his heart a bit too much.

Imagine he takes it off later around Larry and Ash and both of them are like “uh, Sally, you got a little something…on your face.” And he’s sitting there with a dopey grin and blushing cheeks like “yeah, I know~”

GOOD LORD, when yall are alone, feel free to pull his prosthetic off and just go ham with the face kisses. You don’t even need to ask to take his mask off when it’s just you and him, just yank it off and make out with him already

Gift him stuff! Doesn’t matter what it is- could be a dozen fresh roses, a lollipop from the dollar store or a shiny rock you found on the ground while walking to his house. He’s like a crow, he’ll hoard it all no matter how small.

All in all, he loves having an ultra loving and affectionate partner, just give him time to warm up to it and he’ll gradually start returning the favors.

Sally loves getting hugs from the behind by you. He loves being able to feel your arms wrapped around him tightly in such a loving manner that he can’t help but melt into.

He does the same thing with you as well! He’s can be mostly surprise hugs that you two end up laughing about.

Suddenly picking him up however can be a different story. How in the world did you manage to lift him up right off his feet just like so? Like you just carried him bridal style out of the blue without any issues or struggles? HOW!?

Sal Fisher's Character & Personality

As a teenager, Sal is adventurous and resourceful. He can keep his cool during stressful situations, like interacting with ghosts. Sal is a friendly and polite person, regardless of rude or frightened responses he may get from others reacting to his prosthetic. As such, he's openly affectionate towards his friends. Sal frequently offers a listening ear or kind word to others, even to those who have been unfriendly to him. He always has compassion and a willingness to help people regardless of their appearance or standoffish behavior. Although he's kind, Sal will snap back with quick wit towards those who try to hurt him through sarcasm. When being bullied, he doesn't report physical violence. Sal also doesn't correct comments made towards him out of ignorance rather than malice, like being misgendered. Additionally, he doesn't approve of violence as a solution. This suggests Sal dislikes confrontation. Whilst he's male, he doesn't care how people perceive him, nor does he care about traditional gender roles. As an adult, Sal is significantly more jaded and less trusting of others. In fact, he opens himself to others with great hesitation.

I want to add that sometimes things may not come out as often or I'll randomly go inactive, I struggle with motivating myself to do things and I get tired and burnout of things quickly, sometimes to where I won't want to have anything to do with it for months, and I want to go ahead and apologize for that. I'd also like to add that I am aloud to decline requests, wether I feel uncomfortable with the request or if I'm just not going to be able to finish it. Sonic OC Questionnaire time!

Since the @sonic-oc-showdown is starting up soon I thought I should do something to write up a bit more about my OC Deirdre. Shoutout to @bunnymajo and @nintendoni-art for bringing this easy to chew set of questions to my attention. Art here is done by the always wonderful @bunniibones.

✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?

Short answer, it's a pun. Long answer is that I was playing around with the way naming conventions seem to exist in Sonic where you have Word-the-Animal but also some characters have "proper" names, but tend to be playfully named. Sally Acorn, Bunny Rabbot and such. Deirdre was made with a bit more of Archie in mind at the time and as such she was dubbed Deirdre Whitetail. Since she's a deer.

🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range)

I'm always leery of specific age when it comes to these characters given the overall aesthetic is fairly neotenic. She is intended to be a young adult though. Experienced enough to have gone through a few troubles and to set out on her own, but she's yet to be worn down much. So probably an early 20s.

🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)?

She currently does not have any love interests in any official capacity. At one time a friend was considering a roboticized one but that never got beyond the idea phase and isn't really "canon" for any value of the term.

🍕 - What is their favorite food?

Cocoa. Deirdre takes her hot chocolate very seriously. She sticks to the finest ingredients. Particularly in her own dried and crushed chili that she uses to add heat to the sweet.

💼 - What do they do for a living?

She considers herself a modern knight errant. Her family is old nobility that hold no real application in the modern world but she still holds herself to noblesse oblige. As she doesn't have any skills she considers worthwhile besides physical conflict, she works for the Restoration in trying to put a stop to the seemingly endless problems in Sonic's world. Especially if she can whack a badnik with an axe.

🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?

She's yet to really find any hobby. She's trying to break out of keeping herself busy through self appointed responsibilities.

🎯 -What do they do best?

She's a fighter and that's what she does best. She was raised with the fantasy of knights in heroes and that's been what she's put her all into becoming.

🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?

She absolutely loves the moment of conflict. The world is simpler and more direct then. She can lead and she can put everything into fight. Directing allies, protecting allies, swinging an axe through a robot, all of that is where she feels most alive.

She really hates social situations. She loves other people and she enjoys being around them, she is just woefully outclassed when it comes to things like parties and gatherings. She tends to default to being silent, aloof and posing gracefully to carry through the fact she's screaming internally about looking like an idiot.

❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories?

During the Resistance Era against the Eggman Empire, where she was surrounded by others trying to get by. The hope and comradery she felt during the conflict was the closest she's felt to comfort, despite the physical dangers.

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?

Metal Virus. She discovered early that a weapon was of no use. She was not infected, but forced to flee to her mountainside home. There she lived with the ghosts of her failure and perceived cowardice as she hunkered alone in a big empty house knowing there was nothing she could do to help anyone.

🧊 - Is their current design the first one?

Yes, she hasn't changed much except her hair has gone from lilac to a more pinkish color. And before she was a deer she was almost a fisher cat.

Story wise she has gone from a more Archie era character to one that's more set in a slightly AU take on the IDW series.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

A friend wanted to do some RP and at the time I had no Sonic OCs to do anything with. So I sort of cobbled some stuff together from things I remembered from the mid 90s comics and cartoons.

🌂 - What genre do they belong in?

She is firmly in the Action genre. Fairly Shonen too with the bouts of melodrama and emotions.

💚 - What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality?

She is female. Sexuality is not fully defined. Biromantic Asexual is probably the most likely.

🙌 - How many sibling does your OC have?

She is but an only babby. A lonely only babby.

🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like?

They are fine, but very independent and professional. It appears cold on the surface but they do love and respect each other deeply.

🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?

Honestly because she's kind of a brainworm. She really should have just been one a million discarded one off RP characters and not have clawed her way back again and again when I've wavered on the Sonic fandom in general.

✏️ - How often do you draw/write about the OC?

Nerve issues have kept drawing off the table for me on a regular basis. I should write more, and love creating things for her, but I usually don't write because I figure no one wants to know much about OCs

💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC?

Probably not. There's just always more story to tell.

💀 - Does your OC have any phobias?

Nothing so overt or direct. Mostly existential fears related to her utility to the world and her past failures.

🍩 -Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival?

Most of her antagonists aren't "arch-nemesis or rival" levels. So I'm going to say no to this. There just hasn't been quite that emotional tie to any of them to make them something other than enemies at cross-purposes.

🎓 - How long have you had the OC?

Probably since around 2015 or 16 in concept and off hand use in RP. She has only been formally designed and really made solid in the last 5 or 6 years though.
