Pairing: Dorn(Alexander Ludwig)xBlack Reader
Warnings: Mentions of harassment but fluff other than that!
“Bro, if you stare any harder you’re gonna burn holes in her back,” Rafe laughed taking a sip of his drink. “Stop being chicken and ask her out already!”
“Hey don’t be mean! But I do agree though that you should say something,” Kelly sweetly smiled, lightly nudging the gentle giant with her elbow.
“Trust me I want to, but I don’t know. I don’t want to seem like some creep trying to hit on her.”
“Well you better figure it out, because here she comes,” Rafe states, nodding his head in your direction.
“Hey guys! Everything still ok?” With your curly hair pulled up in a ponytail on the top of your head, graphic tee and jean shorts paired with your converse, Dorn thought you were the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
So far, every time him and his friends/partners came to Oasis, they had you as their waitress, and each time he felt his heart beat quicken as soon as you walked up to the table. Always cheery with a warm smile on your face, your warmth instantly brought a smile to his face as well.
There was no denying that he was fully smitten, and his friends hoped and wished he would do something already.
“Yea we’re good! I see it’s a busy night tonight,” Kelly answered.
“Yea with there being a basketball and football game tonight everybody’s come out, which has its high and low points,” you softly laugh before directing your attention to Dorn. “While I’m here, do you want me to top off your drink?”
“No it’s ok I don’t want your top off-No! I mean you don’t have to top me off! I swear that’s what I meant I’m so sorry!”
“It’s ok! Trust me I’ve heard worse. Well if you need anything just wave me over or yell for me,” you smile before visiting your other tables.
“Smooth Dorn,” Rafe laughs before being smacked in the arm by Kelly, who was trying her best not to laugh but failing. Feeling heat rise to his cheeks, he lays his head on the table feeling like the dumbest man in all of Miami.
“She definitely thinks I’m weird now.”
“I doubt that. It was a simple mix up of words it happens to everyone Dorn, don’t beat yourself up about it. Plus she even said it’s ok!,” Kelly smiled patting him on the back.
“Yea don’t beat yourself up man, hey want to know what’ll make you feel better? More drinks!,” Rafe suggests holding up his empty glass.
“Oh no please don’t make her come back over here yet.”
“Ok then, you can go get us 3 beers which is perfect timing since she’s at the bar now so hop to it!” Handing their empty glasses to him while flashing innocent smiles, Dorn glares at the two before reluctantly standing up to retrieve their drinks.
“Just be cool and everything will be fine,” he thought to himself as he arrived at the bar, trying his best to relax.
“Oh did you guys call me over? Sorry about the wait, I was trying to get receipts ready for a couple tables,” you answer, pushing your thin glasses up from sliding on your nose.
“No you’re fine! Since you were already up here I thought it’d be better to get refills now so you don’t have to go back and forth.”
“Oh that’s sweet of you to think that, but it’s ok it’s part of the job,” you smile taking the glasses from him to fill.
“There’s my favorite waitress!!,” an older, very drunk man businessman clad in his he suit greets standing next to Dorn. “You’re looking beautiful as always!”
“Thanks,” you quickly smile, focusing back on the three drinks. Although you were smiling, Dorn could sense it wasn’t your typical warm and friendly one, but one out of discomfort causing his protective instincts to kick in.
“What no hug today?” The man slurs reaching out to touch your hand but not succeeding from your quick yet smooth movements out of his reach.
“Here I’ll bring your drinks to the table,” you smile to Dorn making your way from behind the bar. He would’ve protested and said that he could carry them, but having a feeling that you wanted to get away from the drunk at the bar he let you lead the way.
“Aww don’t be like that! Here let me make it up to you!” Stumbling up to you and grabbing your waist, Dorn quickly grabs the man by his arm sitting him back down in his barstool.
“Listen man relax, just leave her alone ok?”
“Why don’t we wait for her to tell me, which I’m sure won’t happen until after we’ve had a little fun,” he winks in your direction, smugly laughing.
Within the blink of an eye, the man was pinned face down on the bar with Dorn pressing his muscular arm into his neck. Glass falling from the counter and shattering causing everyone to look where the commotion was coming from.
“Instead, how about you leave her alone or your face gets permanently etched into this bar from how hard I’ll smash it in?! How’s that sound?”
“Alright both of you out! Now!,” your boss, Ricky yells walking up to the three of you.
“I ain’t do nothing! It’s Mr. Big Guns over here with the problem!,” the man shouts as Dorn lets him up, pushing him but not making the wall of a man move.
“Now you wouldn’t want to go to jail for assaulting an officer would you sir?,” Rafe asks flashing his badge along with Kelly and Dorn doing the same.
“Ricky this one was just helping me out of a situation caused by drunken fury over here,” you explain. “If anyone needs to get kicked out it’s him.”
“You heard the lady, out!,” Ricky yells at the drunk before leading him outside. Everyone returning to what they were doing and enjoying their nights, you busied yourself cleaning up the broken glass on the ground.
“Here let me help. Sorry about that I didn’t mean for stuff to get broken,” Dorn softly smiles holding the dust pan for you as you sweep.
“Thanks and you don’t have to apologize. You helped get that perv off my back and I really appreciate it, um..”
“Dorn.”
“Dorn. Like I said I really appreciate what you did for me back there,” you smile, lightly touching his arm. Although small, feeling your skin against his made his whole body light up as if he was the star on top of a Christmas tree.
He honestly never wanted you to let go, but when you did the feeling lingered making him instinctively touch the same spot himself.
“It’s no problem. I mean I am a cop after all, I’m supposed to protect and serve,” he smiles brushing off his shoulder and making you giggle.
Standing up, you finally notice how he truly towers over you, making you feel small. Not in the intimidating way though, but that you felt protected and just wanted him by your side wherever you went.
“Well um I guess I better get back to my friends,” he speaks, running a hand through his blonde hair. “I’m sure they’ll want to leave soon, but if you need anything while we’re here you can always come get me or one of us.”
“Yea I uh better get back to work, and thanks I’ll keep that in mind.” Sharing a small wave with each other, you turn to go back behind the bar, but not before taking a slight risk.
“Actually Dorn...I was wondering if maybe you wouldn’t mind staying a bit longer? I mean not that I don’t feel safe but it’s just that guy-,”
“Say no more, if you want me to stay I’ll stay.”
“Great! I mean um great. You can sit at the bar if you want or stay at the table it’s up to you. Also I only have about 3 more hours if that’s ok.”
“There’s no rush take all the time you need. Just let me go tell them where I’ll be.”
Walking to the table, Dorn felt like he had just won the lottery and the final showcase on the Price is Right. A bigger smile had never appeared on his face than the one across his lips now.
“I was about to ask were you ok, but from that look I see you’re doing very well!,” Kelly smirks.
“You got the digits didn’t you?!,” Rafe asks, smirk also spread across his face.
“No I didn’t, but I did get asked to hang back until she gets off work so have a good night guys and see you at work tomorrow!,” he smiles picking up his jacket and drink before going back to the bar where you were standing.
“Aww look at them, they’re so cute!,” Kelly gushes propping her head against her hand.
“Yea they do. Ohh I wonder if they date can we get free drinks?!,” Rafe asks before being smacked in the arm again by Kelly.
So I saw Bad Boys for Life today (which was really good!) and I got this quick idea so hopefully you guys like it🤓!!

There was a point when you just wanted to give up. Despite all the horror of realizing that vampires were real and they had kiddnaped you, you had never given up fighting. There were other girls with you. Some let themself got bitten by these monsters, others had been taken from their cells and never came back. You always fought back, no matter what they tried. You never gave in, even when it meant that they kicked back.
But even your power started to fade eventually. You were only human after all and you knew you would soon die or would be brought to the same place as the other girls. When almost all your hope was gone you heard fighting noises. Maybe you were already dead or just hallucinating the tall guy. Who did fought with a bow and arrow nowadays? Whatever it was, he was fast, killing the vampires before they could even reach him. You were sure you were dreaming. This all couldn’t end well for you. After all, it was a living nightmare. Soon all the vampires were dead and the guy looked at you. You flinched when he came closer and wanted to touch you but you feared to really wake up, being alone again, surrounded by the vampires.
“It’s okay. You are safe now.” “Who are you?”, you gave back with a shaking voice. “An Angel?” He clearly looked like one. Like a fighting, raging one who was here to protect you. He smiled softly. “Not really.” His hand lowering softly on your own. He didn’t disappear. He really was here. “I’m Alec. Come on. I’m taking you out of here.”

Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 21
Tumblr media
“The Grimm..”
Now that you stood there, Jan did not look as sure of himself. Everyone present stared. One of them woged, and you could see the instant terror written on the man’s face. He looked about ready to attack, but when you lifted the machete, no one moved an inch.
“I’ve warned you what would happen if you ever came after me again Nowak.” Alexander was shocked in the manner that you addressed him.
“She knows you?”
Jan swallowed.
“This isn’t the first time he’s sent goons to take me out. Last time he almost killed two innocent children.”
Benedict’s judging gaze was now planted on Jan.
“You endangered innocents? Nowak that is a capital crime!”
“Are you really going to stand there and judge me when this Grimm has come to cut off our heads!! She’s probably already killed my son!!” Jan accused.
You scoffed.
“Don’t get your knickers in a twist. Your little idiot son is in the backseat of my car. I just knocked him out. Unlike you I don’t make a habit of killing just any and everyone. I thought the bastard looked like someone I hated.”
Jan’s teeth clenched at the news.
“You sent him there to die. You were hoping I would kill him so you could push your own selfish agenda. To sacrifice your own blood, I think you should look in the mirror, because I’m not the actual monster.”
The judging eyes of the Council were now pointed to Jan.
“Is that true? You sent your son to die?” Benedict sounds almost heartbroken.
“SO WHAT IF I DID, SHE’S A GRIMM!!” Jan exploded. He rose from his seat, throwing his chair.
“You all sit there and judge me, but she’s killed hundreds, no thousands of our kind yet you treat me like a monster.”
Benedict's eyes lowered.
“The very reason that we’ve been fighting Black Claw is to promote unity among us, no matter the background. She may be a Grimm, but she has posed no threat to us. Having been a target it’s clear she could have come today to take all of our lives. She’s shown us mercy that you very well would not have given her. I am sorry old friend, but men with your corrupted views have no place on this Council. You must be removed immediately.” Alexander was shocked by Benedict's declaration. He hadn’t thought that any of them would be interested in siding with you.
“We must take a vote. All in favor of Jan Nowak’s removal from the Council’s alliance.”
To say he was stunned would be an understatement. Jan stared as one by one, they all lifted their hands. Alexander lifted both hands, and you lifted your blade with a grin.
“I can’t believe this…” Jan stated, shocked.
“This is your doing..GRIMM!!”
Jan woged, rushing at you briskly. Clenching your fist your punched him right in the nose. The force of your fist knocked him out cold. A couple gasps echoed when his body crashed to the floor.
Alexander bit the inside of his cheek, scolding himself for being so turned on at such a time.
“Well…that sort of dealt with itself.”
Benedict muttered. He gestured to the attendant who made quick work at picking up the male and carrying him out of the room. You slide your blade into the strap on the side of your thigh.
“I guess my work here is done. Oh yeah, someone should probably get that guy’s body out of my car before he starts to decompose.” Benedict’s eyes widened and you laughed.
“Kidding. He’s just knocked out. Like father like son I guess.” You shrugged. Benedict was almost afraid to ask if you were truly on their side. Despite Jan’s bais views, it’s obvious there was some truth to his words. When Benedict saw the tattoo, he knew it was true.
“I don’t mean to be mistrustful, but what guarantee do we have that you won’t in fact go back to being a killer of our kind?” More than anything, you understood. At the end of the day, you were a threat.
“I’m not proud of what I did in the past, and no amount of apologizing is going to make up for what I’ve done, but as far as what I’m doing right now, I only want to protect. I’m not interested in running around slaughtering anyone. I intend to spend the rest of my time on this earth helping as many souls as I can. That’s all I want.” Benedict seems content with the answer. From the approving looks in the room, you could tell that you’d gotten through to them.
“I understand, I appreciate your honesty. We look forward to working with you. “ Benedict bowed his head, and you smiled. Your gaze shifted to Alexander. You knew from the concern that he was possibly blaming himself. He moves closer with a soft look of regret.
“You couldn’t have known Alexander.” He shook his head.
“I should have been more cautious. If I had told them of your existence early, maybe this could have been avoided. “ The thought that he could have lost you was still ringing in his head.
“Thank you for protecting me.” You whisper. Those blue eyes held so much fondness. You almost forgot you were standing in a room full of strangers who were watching the exchange curiously. You smirked, reaching out you grabbed him by the tie, pulling him in for a heated kiss. His eyebrows shot up in surprise as you held him close. After a few hot seconds you pulled back, licking your lips.
“See you later, big guy.” You walked past him, giving his behind a smack for good measure. You could hear the little mutters, and you swore you saw one of the women blushing in the back. When the door closed, Alexander stared at it for a few moments. Looking back, he cleared his throat, straightening his tie.
“Shall we continue.”
Benedict was laughing inwardly.
“Alex, you animal.” He teased.
You made quite the impression.

Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 9
Tumblr media
“How did you find me?”
Alexander jumped into the car with you. When they exited the building, there were a number of bodies around. All possibly wesen. What was left of those still trying to bring up the failed revolution that was Black Claw.
“Nick told me what you were doing. He said you were trying to rebuild the council. Make it better, different than before.”
“Although the methods of the past were often barbaric, some of those traditions kept us safe for centuries. I didn’t always agree with De Groot’s choices. Going after Nick was foolish, that’s why I’ve decided to form an alliance with Burkhardt.”
“That’s why I came.”
Your eyes were focused on the road as you drove.
“Nick couldn’t make the trip here, so I jumped on the first plane I could get. I really didn’t think I’d make it in time.” Your hands gripped the steering wheel, something Alexander took notice of.
“You killed them all.”
He knew first hand that Grimms were a force to be reckoned with, but the way you moved, it was like muscle memory. Nick was a cop, so naturally he was skilled. But you were a doctor. Yet your combat skills in that moment were far greater than half the assassins De Groot often recruited in the past.
“I needed to send a message. This wasn’t the first stop I made. I have a friend dealing with the same issue in Germany. We’ve cleared most of the other places. In a matter of weeks, they’ll give up the fight. Black Claw is dead, and it’s going to stay that way.”
There was no doubt in the words you spoke. Alexander’s gaze shifted back to the road.
“Are you returning to Portland now?”
You shook your head.
“I haven’t slept much in the last two days. I’ve booked a place a few miles from here for us. I’m going to stick around for the next few days just to make sure no one gets any stupid ideas, then I’m heading back.”
“I don’t need a babysitter.”
“I don’t remember asking your opinion. It wasn’t a request.”
“You’re still as tenacious as I recall.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
You made a turn, and Alexander couldn’t stop the smile.
~~~
“Het spijt me, we hebben maar een kamer beschikbaar. O-Only one room.”
The frown on your face makes the woman at the desk very anxious.
“I booked two rooms, Twee Kamers!”
She looked frantic.
“We’ll take the room.” Alexander said. She typed on the computer, handing him the key.
“Thank you.”
She nods repeatedly, and you glare until she’s out of sight. Alexander laughs.
“If you torment the locals, the least of our problems will be hits from wesen fanatics.” You just heave the bag higher on your shoulder.
“Whatever.”
You’re both heading for the room number, and when you get there, Alexander swipes the keycard. It unlocks, and he steps aside.
“After you.”
You enter, flicking on the lights. You had to admit. It was a very nice room. The most glaring problem you now face is the bed at the center. There is only one. Albeit a king size, but still.
“It seems I’ll be taking the floor. “
You shake your head.
“I’m not heartless, you almost died. I don’t think I’d sleep well knowing you’re on the floor. We can share the bed.” You drop your bag, and Alexander does the same.
“Get cleaned up, I’m going to do a sweep of the place.”
You grab the key card from the desk heading out. He's grateful. If the world did end up burning, he knew who he’d go with.
~~
A few hours later, and you’re both already getting ready for bed. You’re sitting on the chair cleaning your blade, and Alexander just watches you from across the room. His hair is still a little damp, a towel on his shoulder.
“Are you waiting for something?” You don’t look up as you ask the question.
“Do you intend to stay up all night?”
“Nope, I'm just feeling a bit antsy. Figured I’d get some cleaning done.”
“Afraid I’ll take advantage of you.” He’s wearing a stupid little smile on his face. You just roll your eyes.
“Don’t flatter yourself.”
With a little chuckle, he takes a seat on the bed. There’s a silence that follows. Your eyes lift for a moment, and Alexander is already looking your way.
“Something else is bothering you.” The statement you make isn’t as confident as he’s used to.
“I think I understand why you’re so efficient as a fighter.”
“Don’t go there Alexander.”
You lower your blade.
“From what I’ve seen, you followed in the footsteps of your parents. You helped kill a vast number of wesen. But the killing must have taken a toll on you, so you shifted to something less suspecting. No one would even think to look for a Grimm in a hospital. Am I wrong?”
He looks so proud of himself, and you drop the blade on the floor. When you reach down, you lift your shirt right over your head. Alexander is a bit speechless at the many tattoos that cover various parts of your torso and shoulder.
“Think you have me all figured out huh. You must be really proud.” This is the first time that your words are actually venomous.
“I wasn’t following in the footsteps of my parents, I barely remember them. When I was a child, some men with pretty significant palm tattoos raided my home and killed both of my parents. “
Alexander can only listen. But with that description, only one organization comes to mind.
“The verrat..” He mutters.
“Bingo. See the royals wanted a pure breed Grimm working for them. When my dad refused to join their corrupted system, they used force. They slaughtered my family and took me from my home. I was only three years old.” Your voice cracks, and now he wishes he’d never brought up the topic.
“I was trained, programmed to do whatever they said. I killed people, so many people…” You look down at your palm.
“They made me into an assassin, their very own weapon. I never thought that I’d ever be anything more than that, but then Kelly found me. She protected me, saved me. She gave me a life. A real one.” Your finger brushes the initials KB on your wrist.
“When I turned nineteen, she helped me change my identity. She moved me across the country to a nice small town in Portland. She showed me that I could be so much more than the killer they trained. Because of her I found my passion. That’s why I save people. No amount of lives that I save will ever make up for the ones I’ve taken. But at least this way..this way I can repay some of the pain that I brought for countless people.” You inhale, shrugging your shoulders.
“Anyway, now you know. So you can stop trying to read me.”
Alexander stands, and you can’t get yourself to look up at him. He kneels right at your side, taking your hands.
You’re not a weapon. Nor do you owe anything to anyone. You were trying to survive. You were just a child. "
It’s taking everything in your body not to burst into tears right there. Nick was the only one other than Kelly that really knew about your past. That day he told you she was dead, it felt like you'd lost your parents all over again. When you look up at him, your lips quiver.
“I’m a monster...” You lament.
Alexander shakes his head defiantly.
“You are far from it.”
His eyes move to the tattoos on your body. It’s an array of flowers, all kinds. Somehow he knows what they represent. They're all connected by vines. As far as he can see, they stretch all the way to your back.
“Everyone I’ve ever hurt. Each petal represents a life. I got it because I needed the reminder. I didn’t want them to be forgotten.”
“I wish I could erase your pain.”
He wasn’t sure how he could be so wrong about everything. There isn’t much more that he can say that will bring you comfort. He rises, about to release your hand, but you tighten your hold just a little and he stops.
“Can you..hold me? Just for a little while.”
In this very moment, you show so much vulnerability that he isn’t even certain that it’s the same person he’s looking at.
“Of course.”
He doesn’t even need to think about it. You stand from the chair, and you look a little lost. It’s clear that you haven’t made a request like this before from anyone. Your eyes meet, and he opens his hands, urging you closer slowly. You lean into him hesitantly. When his hands wrap around your body, you don’t reciprocate right away. Your response is a bit delayed. But when you do, you bury your face into his chest, hold on tight. Alexander runs a hand over your back with a chuckle.
“Quite the grip you have there.”
You loosened immediately, about to pull away.
“I-I’m sorry I-”
Alexander keeps you close.
“I never said I didn’t like it.”
You relax a little, you chance another look up at him. His hand comes down, brushing your cheek gently.
“A monster..”
It was a stupid thought.
All he saw was a woman who’d been through far too much pain. Something he fully intends to fix.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 23- Final
Tumblr media
It's been a few months.
Alexander's plan had been implemented perfectly. The transition from the Netherlands was a tough one. But everything seemed to be settling. The nations were no longer at war. There was still a bit of uncertainty when it came to your position in all of this.
For the most part, the council just wanted that reassurance that you weren't going to start beheading people.
Not that some of them didn't really tempt you.
You believed in Alexander's vision. So through some of the nasty comments you received, you pushed through. Because words really were irrelevant when your ultimate goal was to keep the peace.
Alexander had to work tirelessly to prove that he could run the council and always do what was best for the community. A large number of wesen were against your relationship with him, but he wasn't deterred. It was amazing. All the work he did. You felt guilty. Because of all the changes, the both of you barely had a second to yourselves. Between your shifts and helping Nick with cases every now and then. It was hard to even squeeze in a minute. On top of that, attending meetings with wesen council members to promote peace, you both were exhausted.
Now that everything was being finalized, you felt like you could breathe. There's a knock on the door. You have a glass of wine in your hand as you trudge over. Surprised when you see those familiar blue eyes.
"Alexander? I thought you were working late tonight?" You step aside, and he walks in.
"I've requested a week-long vacation to recuperate. The council had no choice but to oblige." You laugh.
"After what we've been going through you deserve a year's worth of vacation. Would you like a drink?" He shakes his head. So you settle against the counter, sipping at your drink. Alexander's eyes run over the walls. You tilt your head.
"Everything okay?"
He nods.
"Just a bit of nostalgia. The last time I was here, you were tending to my wounds."
He's right. You lower the glass on the counter in thought.
"You didn't even know my name, but you were so willing to help. After discovering your identity, I was astonished. "
"Well, it was unnerving. I might have seemed calm at that moment, but you did sort of scare me."
He smiles.
"You're very good at maintaining your composure. You'd subdued me so easily. It was a bit bruising to my ego. Injured or not."
"What can I say, I got mad moves."
His gaze is still on you, and when he approaches, you feel the heat of it.
"I'm glad that it was your house that I ended up in. If we had never met, all that we've accomplished, all the change we're fighting for may not be very possible. Back then my views of Grimms were not much different from the bigoted people that we've met. Change is hard, but you showed me that it is not impossible. We don't have to be ruled by our fears. I fell in love with mine. "
Your eyes grow wide at his words.
"You.." He nods, taking one last step and you're caged against the counter.
"I do love you."
Your heart won't settle. With the glimmering of his eyes, and the smile that stretches on his lips. Somehow you know that he can hear it.
"From the staggered beat of your heart, I don't believe it is farfetched to assume you feel the same. "
You wish that saying those words were easier. Because he's right. You've had it bad for him since the day he walked out of those doors. You'd literally traveled across the country to protect him. So why was it so hard just to put those feelings into words?
"Alexander.."
His smile doesn't leave.
"I understand. Whenever you're ready, I'll be right here. Until then, I love you."
A tear rolls down your cheek, and he cups them both, planting a kiss on your lips. This kiss is so tamed, soft, loving. It holds all that you feel and more. Pretty soon those tender feelings are morphed into raw desire. Your hands grip at his suit, pulling him as close as possible. Alexander pulls away, and your eyes beg for me.
"Please.."
You're begging. Because you've literally been pent up for months. If he makes you wait any longer you'll break.
"It would be terrible of me to deny you any longer. "
He lifts you easily, and you don't even wait for him to start moving. You're kissing him again. Alexander laughs between the kisses as he does his best to find his way to your bedroom.
Fate really was a hell of a thing.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 22
Tumblr media
The minute he was free, he met you in his office. Shutting the door, he sent you a look, combing a hand through his hair with laughter.
"You do know how to make an entrance." Alexander commented. You smile.
"In my defense they did start it." He took a seat next to you, taking your hands.
"I've managed to convince the Council that you're not a threat, but not everyone will be happy with this. Others may come after you."
"I'll be ready, don't worry about me."
It was impossible for him not to worry. Alexander lifted your hands, pressing a kiss to your fingertips. He pulled back, taking in the way your gaze ran over him.
"What would you say if I were to take a position in Portland. " The shock on your face must have been comical by the way he smiled.
"I decided that I wanted to run this Council better than De Groot did. If possible, violence will not be our first response to every decision. For centuries we've been ruled by our olds ways, it's no wonder that so much hate has bled into this world. "
You understand that more than anyone.
"My vision is to create a safe space for all. Not contribute to the world's bloodshed. Luckily I have managed to get a lot of ministers to back my plans. We'll be reinstating offices through the nations to help, rebuild and protect. Upon choosing positions, I decided that Portland would be the best fit for me. I have the most experience with both you and Burhardt."
You could feel tears prickling at the corner of your eyes.
"I'd also like to be closer to you." He confessed.
"What do you think?"
You didn't need to answer. Jumping forward, you wrapped your hands around his neck. Alexander's laugh increased when you began laying kisses all over his face.
"I'll take that as a yes." He stated smugly as he kissed you.
Truthfully, you both should stop right here. You've already made a pretty decent impression on his colleagues. That is more than enough scandal for your trip. But when you pull away, you swallow. Alexander's eyes are glowing.
"Watching you take down those illiterate men was quite a spectacle."
You hold in a quiver.
"I-I should get back."
It was easy putting on a show, but teasing Alexander outright wasn't the smartest decision. After your little incident in the car that day, you can't seem to forget how good it felt to have him lose control.
"When does your flight leave?" He whispers.
"Tomorrow."
He smirks.
"Then that's more than enough time, don't you agree?"
He leaves a kiss and your eyes close as you sigh. You don't fully realize what he's doing until he slowly spins you around, still leaving kisses on your skin. Your hands brace on his desk, and it's then that your brain catches up.
Your eyes open slowly, and his face is buried into your shoulder, hand running down your thigh.
"That day in your vehicle was torture for me, I'm merely repaying the favor. Do you realize how frustrating it is to have you so near and then watch you disappear each time. It's almost maddening." You bite back a moan. His hand is dangerously close to where you need it most.
"I-It wasn't intentional." You defend.
You really wish he'd just flip you over and take you on the desk.
He chuckles, and you can hear the slight deepening of his tone when you feel the fur tickle the back of your neck. You whimper, because he keeps you pinned in that position when you try to turn around and initiate more.
"Unfortunately, I am a gentleman. I will not resort the first time we make love to somewhere as mediocre as my desk. We'll have plenty of opportunities to defile my desk after."
He growls against your skin, and when his teeth lightly sink into your shoulder, you're surprised by the moan that leaves your lips. He pulls back to soothe the mark that he's created, licking the spot. There's a small trail of blood that trickles down, and you try to even your breathing. Your legs are shaking. It was a miracle you hadn't buckled right there and then.
"You are mine. Do you understand that? No one else can have you."
His possessive words don't do much to settle your arousal. How did he expect you to jump on a plane tomorrow after this? You finally understand what he meant.
All you can truly do is nod helplessly.
~
Your trip back to Portland was pretty quiet. Of course you had to fill in your friends on what happened.
"You didn't!"
Nodding, Rosalee laughed as you told of your journey to see the Wesen Council. Monroe sipped at his beer.
"Well, I'm sure they won't be sending anyone else after you. That's a guarantee."
"Pretty sure they got the message," Nick imputed. Adalind smiles.
"Have you and Alexander figured out what you are?" Nick asks. He's been wondering for a while. The way your face lit up is not something that any of them missed.
"I believe this might actually work between us." You sound so hopeful, and Rosalee gives your hand a little squeeze.
"Well, I'm going to retire for the night. Alexander is supposed to come back tomorrow. So I'll be meeting him at the airport."
Grabbing your coat, you bid them goodbye as you make your way home. It's been an eventful two weeks that's for sure. Thinking back to your first meeting, you can't say that you really saw this coming. He'd been so guarded, so were you. The both of you were opposites, yet you'd found each other. You couldn't be happier. Pulling into your driveway, you're a little confused at the car that is already parked there. When you step out, you tilt your head. Making your way to the door you open it.
There's a key placed on the table. You recognize the little charm attached to it.
Alexander stands from his seat on your couch.
"I was under the impression that you would prefer I use the key you provided rather than break in." He smiles.
"I thought you were coming in tomorrow."
"I decided to take an earlier flight. I hope that's okay."
You mirror his smile, walking over.
"Of course it is." You reach for him, and he returns the embrace.
"I've missed you."
His words make you giggle.
"It's only been about a week."
"Too long is my opinion." He leaves a kiss on your cheek. Then another on your neck. Your hands slide down his shoulders, and he growls.
"You smell like cinnamon." He comments.
"I was just at Rosalee's shop. " You explain. He inhales, like he's trying to memorize it.
"It must have been a long trip, would you like to take a shower?"
He nods, loosening his hold.
"I would love to. " You leave another kiss on his cheeks as you move to get him some items to change. He stops you before you can get very far. You turn, watching him expectantly.
"(Y/N), I have no idea what will transpire, but I want you to know that I do desire a future with you. A future for us."
His confession tugs at your heart, and you send a warm smile.
"I..I want a future with you too Alexander."
You never truly thought you could have one. You'd be very careful at keeping yourself at a distance from others. Who would have thought that you'd fall for an assassin of all people.
Life truly was unpredictable.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 5
The next few weeks are strangely peaceful. You’d gotten into a routine with Alexander. It’s possible that with each day he’s beginning to trust you more. Nick stops by every once in a while to keep an eye on Alexander.
A few times you’d caught Alexander doing exercises, even though you advised against it. For someone so used to following orders, he really didn’t listen. Before you know it a month rolls around. That afternoon when you return, Alexander is packing a bag. You’re positive he hadn’t noticed you came in, because he’s heading towards the back door. You flick the light on, and he stops in his tracks.
“Leaving without saying goodbye.”
You fold your arms. He turns to you with a smile.
“I did not think you would be so worried. I’ve been quite a handful haven’t I?”
You shrug.
“Of course you were. Don’t think I did this for free either. You owe me.”
There’s a little change in his eyes, and he lowers the bag onto the ground, stepping over to you.
“How can I possibly hope to repay you for all you’ve done?” It’s somewhat of a whisper.
Maybe you’re reading too much into it, but his look is a bit disarming.
“I was kidding, you know. You don’t owe me anything. Just don’t get yourself killed.”
It seems like he wants to say something, but he doesn’t. He just nods at you.
“I’ll do my best.”
It’s not much of a promise.
“Guess I’ll see you around.”
“For both of our sakes, I hope not.” He states. You let out a laugh.
“You’re right.” He’s turning back to grab his luggage.
“Thank you, truly. “ You brush it off.
“Don’t go getting all soft on me.”
His back is still facing you, and some part of you feels a bit lost. It’ll be weird coming home and not seeing him here. He opens the door, and just like that he’s gone. You heave out a breath.
“Please be safe.”
It’s all you can think of.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 19
Tumblr media
The next few days in Portland feel a bit slow. You find yourself checking your phone quite a bit. Alexander is definitely busy, so you understand. It doesn’t make you miss him any less. That’s why when you receive a letter that day on your way back from work, you’re a bit shocked. You’d just been sifting through some junk mail. This particular letter was addressed to you and you seem to recognize the handwriting immediately. You basically rip it open, eyes running over the words.
Let’s just say, Friday could not come fast enough.
“You’re in an awfully good mood. “ The nurse sent you a sneaky smile and you stopped humming abruptly.
“Anyone special making you so chipper?” She teased. You blush, shaking your head.
“Of course not.”
“Uh huh.”
She sounds like she doesn’t fully believe you. Grabbing your bag later that evening you head for your car. You basically race home. It’s a miracle you haven’t gotten a ticket. You only have one thing on your mind. Getting ready doesn’t take that long, and you find yourself checking your watch regularly. Finally dressed, you grab a purse and head out the door. There’s a few times where you do a double check on your outfit. But as you pull up to the restaurant, it’s too late to turn back now. So when you exit the car, you do your best to swallow all your fears. You get to the front desk.
“Nebojsa, table for two.”
The waiter immediately guides you to your seat. You were just a few minutes late, so it’s no shock that your date has already arrived. The second he sees you, he stands. His eyes run over you appreciatively, and he moves over to help you into your seat. Your waiter apparently notices the sparks. He gives a little smile. He takes a step back.
“You look absolutely stunning (Y/N).” Alexander’s voices.
“Not too bad yourself.” You sit, and he moves back to his own seat.
“What can I get you started off with.”
“We’ll have a bottle of red wine to start.” He nods, handing you both a menu.
“I will be back with your drinks shortly.”
He excuses himself, and you take the opportunity to admire Alexander. Seeing him in a suit isn’t anything new. But somehow this feels different.
“I was really surprised when I got your letter.” You place your hands on your lap in hopes that it will calm your nerves.
“My intention was to contact you much sooner, but my responsibilities were a bit strained with the few that insisted on threatening the peace. “ You figured as much.
“I’m glad that you’re okay.”
Alexander smiles.
“I’m fortunate that I am able to have dinner with you. A nice change from your car. After what happened in Washington I figured this was a much safer bet. I can’t have you taking advantage of me again.”
Your cheeks flush lightly  just as the waiter comes with your drinks. You give him your thanks, both ordering your meals. He’s off once again, and Alexander is still looking fairly smug.
“It was a heat of the moment thing.” You mutter.
“Of course it was. “ He still looks way too comfortable. You roll your eyes playfully.
You take a sip of the wine waiting for your meal. Alexander's content gaze is fully fixated on you. You place the glass down.
“Is there something else on your mind?” You ask.
“I was just curious.” He leans a bit closer, elbows on the table.
“My woge, it arouses you.”
You’re pretty sure that you’re full on blushing. He’s made the statement discreetly, so you’re sure no one else has heard. He leans back, that confident smirk on his lips.
“This is intriguing. I never thought I would live to see the day. You Grimms are quite kinky aren’t you?”
“A-Alexander!”
You aren’t sure how he can speak so casually about this.
“Don’t tell me it hasn’t been on your mind.” His eyes glow, and you have to bite down on your lip. How dare he get you worked up in such a public place.
“This will be an interesting night.” The light fades just as the waiter walks over placing your food down.
“Bon appetit.” Alexander teases.
Yep, he was enjoying this.
~
The night begins to whine down around eleven. You’d come in separate cars, so when you offer that he stop by your place to chat some more Alexander isn’t opposed. So you head back home. It all seems a bit surreal until you get through the door.
When he enters, the warmth of the wine is somehow heating up the room. There is no hesitation when he leans down. You’ve been expecting it. Anticipating it. It’s nothing but the mere brushing of lips. So soft, you savor it. Alexander pulls back. There is so much you can read in his eyes.
“You are becoming quite a problem for me Ms. Nebojsa.”
Likewise.
You feel it, he does too. But you both know that going down this road won’t be easy. Most relationships took work, so this one, it would be a challenge.
“Are we really going to do this?”
He’s not sure he can answer the question. All he knows is that he wants to be with you. To hold you when that doubt creeps in just like he’d done those nights you spent protecting him.
“I can’t turn off how I feel, no matter what I do. To be honest, I don’t want to."
You’ve laid it all out there, so the ball was in his court. Whether he wanted this or not, it was up to him.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 12
Tumblr media
“Dr. (L/N), you have a call.”
You move to the desk with a smile, nodding at the nurse.
“(Y/N) speaking.”
“I hope I haven’t caught you at a bad time.” You immediately recognize the voice.
“Alexander..”
It’s been a few weeks. You knew he’d be busy with rebuilding an entire organization basically from scratch. The verification that he’s okay brings a wash of relief.
“It’s good to hear your voice Alexander.”
“Yours as well.”
He sounds good. Not out of breath running from some psycho, or nursing an injury.
“Is everything okay, have there been any attacks?”
“Everything is fine. I have been taking meetings with the ministers to assign another head to the Council.”
His name is surely high on that list. You twirl the pen in your hand.
“I have to admit that this call is more personal than professional.”
You grip the pen.
“If I’m being quite honest, I’m having a hard time getting you out of my head.”
His tone sounds a bit lower, and you try to direct your focus on something. You need to keep your reply steady. But when you open your mouth, nothing comes out. He knows that you haven’t hung up the phone, and he chuckles.
“Forgive me, maybe that was too forward.”
Your eyes move to your feet, still giving no reply. You don’t know what to say.
“I’m sorry for taking up your time. It was great hearing your voice again (Y/N).”
The dial tone rings, and you lower the phone slowly, placing it down. Sliding the pen into your coat pocket, you walk away, disappointed at how badly you’d handled that call. For the last three weeks you’ve been praying for some sort of communication from him. Yet when he does, you can’t even respond properly. He didn’t even sound upset. If anything there’s a bit of understanding.
Rather than dwell on it, you busy yourself. Because if you think about it any longer, it’ll drive you crazy.
“Dr. (L/N) we need you in OR 2.”
“I’ll be right there.” You pace towards the room.
~~
A few hours of some very sad cases, and you’re scrubbing out.
“Good work today.” Your colleague commends.
When you started this job, more often than not you’d end up sitting in your car going over the people you lost. The profession came with a toll. It’s impossible to save everyone. You’ve been around death all your life. That’s why you thought you’d be fully equipped to handle this. But it was different. Causing pain and trying to stop it was very different.
Drying your hands, you nod as you begin to take your leave.
You clutch your car keys when you’re out of the building, looking down at your phone.
“No messages.”
You aren’t really surprised.
Admitting your feelings to Nick didn’t feel this stressful. So what didn’t you just tell Alexander you’d been thinking about him too.  That you’d been dying for him to just call you. Speak with you. Be with you.
No, telling him that would surely open up doors that you aren’t sure you’re ready to go through.
At least not yet.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 3
There’s a soft knock at your door, and you’re already heading to answer it. The male behind it smiles at you.
“Wish this were under better circumstances.” You reach over, giving him a hug which he returns.
“I’m glad you’re here Nick.” He pulls back, studying you.
“Don’t worry, he’s not exactly in the best shape.” You shut the door, guiding him up the stairs.
“I found him in my bathroom last night rummaging through my cabinets. I stitched up his wound. He should still be sleeping.”
When you get to the door, you open it. He looks a lot less dangerous when he’s asleep.
“Did you get any sleep last night?”
You shook your head at Nick’s question.
“Spent the night cleaning his blood off my floor. Couldn’t really sleep either. I came in a couple times to make sure he was fine. His vitals were pretty strong, but you can never be too sure. He took a beating.”
“You weren’t scared he’d take you out in the night.”
“I think we’re friends. He wouldn’t do that.” Nick was used to your optimistic view on the world.
“I don’t recall making such a statement.” Alexander’s eyes flicker open, and the glow is back. He snarls.
“I suppose it was stupid of me to trust that you really meant no harm.”
You roll your eyes.
“Calm down, I told you if I wouldn’t hurt you, didn't I?”
“Forgive me if I fail to trust the words of a Grimm.”
“That’s rich coming from you. Didn’t you try to kill me?”
“That was the council. I tried to advise De Groot against such actions, but he was adamant on removing you before you caused any further interference in our plans.”
There’s obviously a lot of bad blood between the both of them.
“I didn’t come here to argue, I just need to make sure (Y/N)’s okay. I’m sure you've already heard the news about Black Claw.”
“You may have cut off the head, but there are still a few who are willing to die for those beliefs. As soon as I’ve recovered I intend to remove the tail before another head decides to grow back.”
“It'll take weeks for your wounds to heal, months for you to even start any kind of vigorous activity. You were shot Alexander. This isn’t a sprained ankle or swollen hand. “
“I don’t recall asking your permission. “
He stands, holding his side as he does. You can see the obvious pain on his face. All he manages is a step, and his body caves. You rush forward, grabbing him before his knees fully buckle. The sudden move makes him crash into you, and your body hits the bed, Alexander on top. You grunt at the impact, and he raises onto his elbows. He looks somewhat embarrassed.
“Listen, if you’re so eager to die, then go again. Just make sure you’re far from my home when it happens. The second you leave I'm no longer responsible for you."
You shove him roughly, and he rolls onto the bed with a pained sound. You don’t stay to hear whatever he has to say, you just march out the door. Nick sends him a look.
“I don’t understand. The idea of a Grimm helping our kind is..unusual.” He could have been wrong, but he swore there was actual concern in your eyes.
“We’re not all monsters like those stories portray.”
He should have known that by now. There were two chances, Nick could have killed him at any time. Especially after the hit the council placed on him.
“I’m going to be keeping an eye on you. I’m not going to stop you, because I agree with you. It would be bad if Black Claw were to return. But for the time being, you should focus on healing. “
Nick turns to leave.
“Burkhardt.”
He stops at the door.
“Thank you.”
Nick shakes his head.
“I’m not the one you should be thanking.”
He leaves, shutting the door.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 20
Tumblr media
~The Netherlands~
Alexander’s thumb drifted over the contact as he stared at his cell phone.
“I can’t turn off how I feel, no matter what I do. To be honest, I don’t want to."
Those words were imprinted in his mind. He didn’t want the way he felt to go away either. But whenever he looked at you, he could see an inkling of hesitance. You were worried about losing him.
“We’re ready to start.”
Alexander lifted his head, nodding at the man that stood before him. Slipping the cellphone into his pocket, he buttoned his suit, heading inside. Closing the door he took a seat, greeting the members.
“Nice of you to join us Alexander, I hope our presence isn’t an inconvenience to you.” The man who sat to the left of him commented. One thing he didn’t enjoy was some of the more ignorant ministers. Jan Nowak was one of them. A Steinadler. Noble wesen, but mostly fixated on their own agenda.
“We’re all allies here aren’t we.”
Benedict, the man sitting on the opposite side of him. A Fauxbau, more of a peacemaker in these meetings. He was always trying to get the room in agreement that was beneficial for everyone. One of the few men that he tolerated in this assembly.
“Shall we get down to business?” Alexander asked.
“Please.” Jan muttered.
Opening the file, Alexander passed the copies to the others sitting around the table.
“Most of Black Claw’s organization has been eradicated. This was a global epidemic, so it’s foolish to assume that it would be resolved so quickly. What we do know is that they are no longer operating in the following countries listed. Just recently I was able to confirm that the United States is fully free from their hold. We’ve managed to clear the residual effects, especially the ones most prominent in Portland.”
Benedict smiled.
“The best news I have heard in months. It’s not everyday wesen try to overrun the world.” A few of them chuckled at his enthusiasm.
“Ever the comedian Benedict.” Came Jan’s condescending tone.
“Are we not elated with the progress that we’ve made? You’ve done remarkable work Alexander. Not just putting together our alliances again, but you joined forces to preserve the peace. De Groot would be very honored that you’ve taken over the mantle.” Benedict complimented.
“As far as I’ve seen, there is very little we need to discuss. With any luck I can return to England tomorrow for some tea. “ Benedict jokes.
“There is still the most glaring issue.” Jan interjected.
“That is?” Alexander inquires.
“The Grimm.” The room suddenly felt painfully quiet.
“We’ve already discussed this. The Grimm has joined to keep the peace, Nickolas Burdhardt poses no threat to us.”
“That is not the Grimm I’m referring to.” Alexander’s jaw clenched.
“Another Grimm!” One of the ministers cried. She woge, and pretty soon half the room started an uproar. Benedict lifted his hand, trying to calm them down.
“Now, there’s no need to get hysterical. Surely if Burhardt is on our side, he can have a word with this other Grimm. There’s no need to start any unnecessary panic.” Benedict's words seemed to be working as they began to settle into their chairs.
“Tell them Alexander.” Benedict encourages.
“Yes, surely Alexander would know since he’s sleeping with her.” Benedict’s eyes turned to Jan at the accusation.
“That’s ridiculous, have you lost your mind Nowak. None of us are reckless enough to get involved with a Grimm.” Benedict’s gaze shifted to get a better defense from Alexander, but the look on his face wasn’t one of denial.
“Alex..” Benedict mutters.
“My personal affairs have nothing to do with this discussion. “
“It does when it endangers all that we stand for!!” Jan protested as he stood.
“This woman was a guard dog for the royal families. She slaughtered women and children alike. You place your faith in a Grimm, but someone as dangerous as that. You’ve truly lost your way Alexander. Your mistakes need to be corrected." The indignation in Jan’s voice made him weary.
“What have you done!” Alexander demanded. He looked furious, and the second he woged, his teeth were bared. A few of the others gasped.
“You’ve fallen so far, you’d threaten me for the likings of a Grimm.” Jan’s words were filled with spite. Alexander closed his eyes, rolling his neck as the fur retracted. His words were spoken tightly.
“It is because of those Grimms that all of us are still alive. Have you any idea what Burkhardt risked to take down their affiliations in Portland?”
“I suppose we shall see just how versatile they truly are.” Jan grinned.
The door to their room opened, and the attendant stumbled inside . Fear written all over his face. Alexander’s head turned, stunned at the woman that walked in.
“I’ll assure you I am very versatile.”
This had taken a turn for the worse.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 18
Tumblr media
“Thank you for everything.”
“Hotch you know you never have to thank me.”
The smile you exchange is one of affection. Alexander is in the background once again. Hotch sends Alexander a look.
“Please take care of her.”
“I will.”
That’s all he says as he walks away from your car. You watch him head back into the building, and you jump into the car. Alexander joins you, starting the car.
“The closing of this case has granted us a favor with the BAU. Our ties will be strengthened this way for both sides. Humans and wesen alike. “
“I’m glad.”
Silence is what follows, and you keep your eyes planted on the road.
“When do you leave?”
“In the morning. I’ve already booked my ticket.” You explain.
Once again nothing is being said. From the direction he’s headed, it’s clear that he’s taking you back to your hotel.
“You had a relationship with that man. Aaron Hotchner.”
That’s not the question you expect, but you answer nonetheless.
“I did. But that was years ago. We’ve both moved on.”
“But you still care for him deeply.”
“I do. He’s important to me. The same as Nick.”
He glances at you, and you raise a brow.
“Is there an actual question?”
You can tell he wants to ask something, but he’s beating around the bush.
“I was just curious.”
“Of my relationship status. I don’t think that’s of any concern to the counsel.”
He swallows.
“It was a personal inquiry.”
“I figured.” His gaze is still planted on the road ahead.
“How do you feel about me Alexander?”
You can see the slight tension in his body, doubled with the glow that is now present in his eyes.
“Surely I do not have to explain to someone as perceptive as you.”
“Humor me.”
He doesn’t respond right away. You spot an exit up ahead, and he pulls off to enter the gas station. Your thought is that maybe he needs some air to gather his thoughts. The vehicle stops, and you fully expect him to jump out the car. He removes his seatbelt and he turns to you. Now you’re the one who swallows, at the way his eyes search your own. He leans over just a little and your eyes dart to his lips. He doesn’t kiss you, just lingers there, studying your reaction.
“I believe you are fully aware of how I feel about you.” It’s a whisper. He’s so damn close.
“This was never part of the plan.” He mutters. He still hasn’t moved, and you understand what he means. You hadn’t planned this either.
“We’re on opposite sides of this Alexander. I-I can’t do this if I know that I could lose you..”
He can see just how shaken you are by this. Until now you’ve had a very rough run in life. Now that you have a sense of security and stability he gets why you would want to preserve that. The fact that you hadn’t strayed to an occupation that you could utilize your gifts should have been enough proof.
“I am sorry if I have put you in a compromising position. The last thing I would ever do is hurt you. Please believe that.”
You do.
Clicking your seatbelt, you lean over hurriedly, closing the distance between the both of you. Alexander is stunned at the action, but slowly reciprocates. Your fingers find purchase in his short dark locks, and he leans in as much as possible, lips slanting over your own desperately.
One of his hands is pressed to the dashboard, and your free hand moves down to his tie, tugging it loose. You practically rip it out of his collar, and his hands change course when you part. You're now moving over to his seat. Your legs straddle him, and you reach for the small lever, lowering the seat. He is now leaning back and panting. His hair is tousled and his shirt is partially undone from your uncoordinated removal of his tie.
Your chest is rising and falling a bit unsteadily. Alexander looks as though he’s about to say something, but he woges. You moan, diving back in for more. He lets out a startled growl, and your hands run over the soft white fur on his neck, sliding down, you push off his coat and begin undoing the buttons of his shirt.
Your body pressed to his is doing wicked things. All of your actions are purposeful, and when you finally pull back to gain a breath, Alexander woges back. His chest is heaving, and your hands are now splayed on his pectorals. The warmth of your finger tips is all he can truly process.
 He looks so terribly flustered. His clothes are a mess, and his face has gone a light shade of red. A part of him isn’t sure what just happened. One minute the both of you are chatting, then the next you’re ripping his clothes off. Not that he was really complaining. When the adrenaline begins to pass, he can see you become a little more aware of this particular situation. Your cheeks heat up against your will, and you slowly remove your hands. Your stare looks a bit bashful and apologetic.
“I-I’m sorry..I’m not really sure where that came from.”
You’d basically pounced on him. Wasn’t he the wesen in this scenario?
You inched back, climbing back over into your seat, adjusting your clothing. Alexander straightens the seat, clearing his throat as he searches for his tie.
“That was..unexpected..” There isn’t any other word he can use for what just took place.
“I’m..usually not that forceful.” You sound a bit contemplative. Like you’re evaluating your actions. The moments flashes back into his mind, and he lowers his head, woging involuntarily.
“My apologies..”
His voice has changed significantly, and he sniffs the air. Alarmed at the scent that hits him. You’re already looking right at him, and grab him by the lapels of his shirt, pulling him in for a heated kiss. It lasts for just a few seconds, and when you move back, you’re somewhat glaring at him. But it’s not anger. It’s frustration that’s written over your features. He’s just realized why.
“Stop woging.” You order. He changes back quickly and you let go of his clothing.
“Yes ma’am.”
~~
It took a few minutes for the both of you to fully cool down. When Alexander parked outside your hotel, you stepped out of the car, and he did as well. He leans on it, and you send him a look.
“Do you want to come up?”
Alexander exhales shakily, and you bite your lip when that light in his eyes returns.
“I don't think that would be a very good idea.”
If the earlier make out session was any indication. It’s clear that both of you lack the self control needed to keep each other at a distance. You smile.
“You’re probably right.”
You turn your back to him, and he isn’t sure if it’s a conscious act, but your hips sway in an almost teasing manner as you leave.
“I’ll call you when I get back.” His eyes lift from the previous distraction.
“I will be awaiting your call.” You linger at the door, and he watches curiously.
“One more kiss for the road?” You ask softly. Alexander can’t help the smile that adorns his face.
“Of course.”
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 17
Tumblr media
Back at Quantico, you all sit with the kids patiently waiting for their parents. Jesse is watching the other children with a relieved smile. You take a seat next to her, holding out a soda. She takes it.
“Thank you.”
You nod.
“What you did, going up against that man to protect them was very brave. You saved their lives.”
She plays with the drink in her hand.
“I wish I was normal.”
You can feel the pain those words hold. Somehow, looking at her, you can see a reflection of yourself.
“When he took me, I could have easily taken him down. It wouldn’t be hard. “ She grips the can.
“I-I heard the shorter guy say they had other children and I kept thinking of how scared they must have been seeing those wesen. The same way I was when I first saw one. I-I was only nine.” Her hands are shaking, and you reach over taking her hand. You’re a bit surprised she’s opening up like this to you. Her gaze moves to you.
“You’re one too. Just like me.”
Her statement catches you off guard.
“How do you-”
“I saw the way you looked at that guy when he woge. The other police guy didn’t react, but you did. “
She wasn’t just strong willed, but observant too.
“You’re very mature for a fourteen year old. I think some of the officers are actually scared of you.”
You offer a smile, and she wears one, looking down at her feet.
“I guess so.”
More than anything, you wish you could remove the burden she has. Because from here on out. Her life would only become more complicated. It’s smart that her parents have already somewhat prepared her for the worse. You pull a piece of blank paper from the desk, taking out a pen from your pocket. Scribbling on the paper, you click the pen, handing it to her.
“If you ever need someone to talk to about all of this, give me a call. " For a moment, she just looks at it, then she takes it slowly, looking at you.
“Anything that you need, I’ll do what I can to help.” Her lips quiver, and she nods, reaching over and hugging you. You pat her back softly. When she pulls away, her eyes glance at Alexander.
“He likes you.” She mumbles.
You look in the direction of her gaze. Alexander is standing on the other side of the room, providing help in any way he can. You look back at her.
“You’re really perceptive.” She giggles.
“I’m good at reading people.”
She’s still looking at him like she’s trying to figure something out.
“I-I’ve never met one that’s nice before.”
That you understand. The ones that weren’t trying to kill you usually just ran away terrified.
“Lesson number one, not all wesen are bad.”
She looks so hopeful.
“Really?”
You nod.
“Absolutely.”
It may take her a while to trust, but you have a feeling that her life wouldn’t be as miserable as she assumed.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 16
Tumblr media
You’re following in your car with Hotch and the others on the highway. Alexander is driving. There’s something on his mind. He’s been brooding on it since you left quantico.
“He recognized you, how is that possible?”
Alexander knew for a fact that you never met before today.
“That man was terrified. Mauvi Dons aren’t known for being fearful. Quite the opposite. His reaction does not make sense.”
You keep your eyes forward.
“He noticed my tattoos. I told you, before I became a doctor I was a weapon. I had a reputation.”
To instill that level of fear, to such a creature that was known for being ruthless. It would be a lie to say he wasn’t just a bit unsettled.
Alexander makes a turn, and you answer the cell phone.
“We’re getting close to the location.” Hotch says from on the other side.
After witnessing Jerry’s strength, you knew they weren’t taking any chances. There was an entire SWAT team following. Each minute was another spent holding your breath and praying that Mike didn’t return to finish the job his partners didn’t complete. The final turn on a strip leads to the old beaten down house a few miles ahead. You can see it.
From the outside it looks unsuspecting. There’s a bit of land too. From what you gathered, they must have bought the place. Driving over the gravel, you all pull up to the house. The vehicles immediately surround it. SWAT is the first ones out, and Hotch begins giving orders.
“Cover all the exits.”
They fall out, and you step out with Alexander behind, both wearing vests, each holding a gun. You both follow Hotch and some other officers into the entrance, and everyone else scatters around to different directions.
“FBI open up!!”
That’s the only warning. The door is knocked down with a barricade, and you all fall in, checking each point as you move room to room. Hotch stops at another door. From the looks of it, this is the basement. He sends you a look, and Alexander woges.
He opens the door easily, gun drawn as you all walk down.
“FBI!!”
You hear some feet scatter, and when you’re downstairs, the sight has you all stunned. There’s a girl standing with a bloody tire iron in her hand. On the floor is a male. He looks unconscious, or possibly dead. The girl doesn’t back down. Her stance is firm, and she moves almost protectively in front of the other children at the back who don’t look as fearless.
“Jesse Kennedy.” Hotch asks.
She nods hesitantly, but her eyes are trained on Alexander, still clutching the tool in her hand firmly. Alexander woges back, and she visibly relaxes.
“I-I couldn’t let him hurt them. “ She says softly. Hotch still has his gun aimed at the man on the floor, he moves over, checking for a pulse.
“He’s unconscious.”
Hotch puts his gun away, and you all lower yours as he cuffs the man on the floor. SWAT are walking down the stairs in seconds, and one of them takes the man away. The three other kids at the back only move when Jesse drops the tool, running over to them. They all run into a hug, and a smile makes its way on your face as well as Hotch’s.
“You’re safe, the monster won’t hurt us anymore.” She reassures them. Alexander is still in a slight state of shock.
“She’s only fourteen years old...” Alexander muttered.
You don’t need to tell him, he knows that one thing you should never do is cross a Grimm. Regardless of the age.
Surely no one at the council would believe this.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 15
Tumblr media
The chime of a door has you looking up. Now seated at the back of the cafe, footsteps approach, and someone takes a seat right in front of you.
“Hello Doctor.”
“Hi Alexander.”
There’s a strange warmth that comes with seeing him right in front of you.
“I was surprised when you contacted me. How did you know I was in Washington?”
“I didn’t. But I figured the council would be looking into this case.”
“So you’ve heard.”
“I have. A friend of mine brought me in to help with the case. He works with the FBI. Alexander, they still have four kids with them.”
“They’ve already committed a capital crime. The FBI has two of them in custody, correct?”
“Yes.”
“Do you know who is still out there?”
“No. I haven’t questioned any of them. I was hoping for some help. That’s why I called you.”
“I understand. The council has a few connections in Quantico for situations like this. However your friend, which unit is he assigned to."
“Behavioral Analysis.”
He sighs.
“I was afraid of that. We can request an interview, but the case will not be transferred to our custody.”
“You won’t have to. Aaron knows everything.” Alexander looks surprised.
“Is he wesen?”
“No he isn’t.”
“So you just told him?”
“We have history. He’s on our side, trust me.” Alexander jaw sets, but he doesn’t comment on your statement.
“When will we be able to do the interview?”
“Half an hour if you’re up to it.”
“I think I can clear up my schedule.”
That’s what you were hoping he’d say.
~Quantico~
“So who is the woman that came in to see Hotch?” Morgan questions.
“Old girlfriend.” Reid states.
“I think we would have remembered her.”
The elevator opens, and in walks the very woman they were talking about. A taller man followed behind. Prentiss turns, recognition crossing her face.
“(Y/N)?”
Her call draws your attention, and your smile brightens.
“Emily!”
You move over to her excitedly and she hugs you the moment you’re within reach.
Morgan raises a brow.
“Am I the only one who is out of the loop.” You pull away.
“I’m sorry, that was rude of me. I’m (Y/N) Nebojsa. It’s nice to meet you."
Morgan shakes your hand, and Reid sends you a little smile.
“Nice to see you again Reid.”
“(Y/N)!” David comes from his office, with a grin.
“Now I really feel left out.” Morgan comments.
JJ is the last to join.
“Don’t feel bad. You were busy with Hank, remember. A lot happened in those four months." JJ greets you. Alexander stays at the back. It’s only when Hotch walks out that he drifts a bit closer. They both meet in the middle.
“You must be Hotchner.”
“And you’re Alexander."
They shake hands, and for a moment there is just silence. Everyone noticed.
“Thank you for assisting us in this case. The interrogation rooms are this way.” Hotch pulls his hand back, and Alexander nods. The rest of the team follows as you head down the hallway.
“Will you be doing separate interviews, or are you going in together.”
“We’ll do both of them together.”
Hotch nods.
“I’ve got you both clearance. You’re listed as consultants on the case.”
That worked great. When you get to the room, you stare at the man on the other side.
“His name is Jerry Keller. “
You look over at Alexander, and he nods, opening the door. You both enter, shutting the door behind you. Jerry straightens up in his chair. He looks fairly relaxed. Alexander inhales, turning his nose.
“Mauvi Don.” Alexander says solemnly. Neither of you take a seat, and Jerry looks a bit more guarded.
“Damn Pflichttreue.” Jerry snarls, then turns to you.
“What are you, his guard dog?”
You just circle him. With his wrist handcuffed to the table, there isn’t much he can do. You finally stop after you’ve made your assessment.
“Let’s go Alexander.” Jerry looks confused.
“Wait, is that it!”
You barely glance at him, and it infuriates him.
“Don’t walk away from me!!”
He woges, and the second your eyes connect, he rolls his head back, dropping into his seat. He looks a bit horrified.
“Shit..”
You can see the fear. When you move closer this time, he’s become quiet. His eyes trail to your neck, the piece of a tattoo peeking out.
“It’s you..”
Alexander is puzzled by the recognition the male shows.
“Tell us everything about your plan, or you being locked away in a cell will be the least of your problems. “ You know Hotch’s team is watching, you have to be careful with your words, and threats.
When you move closer Jerry pulls at his chains unconsciously. He gulps, and you sit down, reaching for his hands. You take it, and you can feel him hold his breath.
“Alright alright!” You release his hands.
“Where are the kids?”
“They’re at a farm. We took them to prove a point. Just like the others. We were all supposed to meet back up, but the cops snagged me and Jed. If we didn’t all come back in an hour then Mike is gonna ditch the kids.”
“Is he like you?”
Jerry nods shakily.
“I-I can give you the address and everything.”
Something still doesn’t add up.
“Why did you spare the children? All the others were killed within the hour of their kidnapping. You’ve had the children for more than five hours.” He looks a bit unnerved at the question, and he glances at the glass behind you.
“One of those brats..she’s a Grimm.” He whispers. Your jaw clenched.
“Mike wanted to kill her the minute he found out, but Jed and I talked him out of it. W-We didn’t want that target on our heads.” Your hand is clenched tight.
“I should kill you right here.” You seeth. He leans away, pulling aggressively at his hands as he tries to stand.
“G-Get me out of here!! She’s going to kill me!!” His ruckus caused Hotch to walk in. Morgan followed behind as he held another pair of handcuffs.
“N-No..NO!”
Jerry woged, snapping the restraints on his hands. He lounged for Morgan who had already braced for the attack. You intercepted, slamming your fist into his gut. His body skidded back, hitting the wall harshly. He coughed, changing back as he gasped, trying to gather his breath. Morgan pulled him off the ground roughly, cuffing his hands.
“He broke those cuffs like they were nothing.” Morgan muttered.
“What kind of drugs is he on?”
Alexander sent you a look as he walked out. Morgan was still watching you carefully. When he was no longer in the room, Hotch moved over to you, taking your hand.
“Are you alright?” He was inspecting it for damage.
“I’m okay.”
“I hate to break up this little party, but we have more pressing matters. “ Alexander looks agitated, but you brushed it off.
“He’s right, we need to find those kids. Then go after Mike. He’s a Mauvi Don. Bodies are going to start dropping wherever he goes. Even more now that he knows his partners have been caught.”
This was one of the moments where a happy ending was not promised.
Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 14
Tumblr media
“Sir, Ms. (L/N) is here.”
“Let her in.”
You’re guided into the office, and you smile.
“I wish we’d see each other more often in better circumstances.” He says.
“Any chance to see you is welcomed Aaron.” He stands, walking over and placing a kiss on your cheek as he pulls you into a hug. You giggle, cheeks slightly flushed.
“You better be careful, I might get the wrong idea for being here.” When he pulls back, he’s wearing a sneaky smile.
“That might not be such a bad thing.” Hotch gestures to the chair, and you take a seat as he follows.
“So how bad is it?”
“There were three of them. At first we thought it was one unsub. But the kills are too erratic. We have two of them in custody, but neither of them are talking. The last is Mike Hale. He’s still out there and he has four kids with him. If we can't get the other two to talk, I’m afraid we’ll be looking at more bodies. “
“Do you have pictures of the victims?” He nods, pulling out a folder. You open it, flicking through the bloodied bodies.
“The first two were ripped to pieces. Bite and claw marks indicate that it was some type of animal. The last victim was infected with a parasite. It took her eyesight. She’d just recently lost her husband in a car accident. “
When he lays out the information, you do an evaluation.
“The first two sound like Mauvi Don, the other is probably a Jinnamaru Xunte. I’ve never heard of them teaming up. This doesn’t make much sense. “
"They grew up in an orphanage. We profiled that’s where they formed their bond. “
“Well that makes more sense.” You close the folder.
“This is bad.”
Hotch has no way of telling which one is out there. If they were just going on a rampage, then either wesen was dangerous. It’s obvious that they aren’t sticking to any particular pattern. Having Nick here right now would be beneficial. But it’s not like he can drop everything and come here.
“Do you mind if I call in for some help?”
“Not at all, we can take all the help we can get.” You nod.
“Give me a few hours, I’ll see what I can do. If I can’t reach him, I’ll interrogate the other two. “
You rise, and Hotch follows.
“Thank you for this.”
“You don’t have to thank me. I just hope we’re able to stop them in time.”
“So do I.”
~~
Stepping out of his office, you head for the elevator. Clicking the button you step in. Dialing a number on your phone, you wait for Nick to pick up.
“Hey, is everything okay?”
“Things are a little crazy here. Three wesen running rampage. They caught two but there is still one out there. “
“Damn it, what can I do?”
“I need to get in contact with Alexander. I have a feeling he already knows what’s going on. There’s a good chance he’s here in Washington. I need his help.”
“I’ll send you his contact information.”
You smile. Nick was meticulous when it came to these types of situations. You can hear the typing of keys on the other side of the call. Your phone vibrates.
“I just sent you his info. You were right, he’s in Washington. “
“Thank you Nick.” The elevator opens, and you step out.
“If you need me, I’ll be there.”
“I can handle this, don’t worry. I’ll let you know how it goes.”
“My fingers are crossed.”
So are yours.
