Me trying reeeeaaaalllly hard to like Thor Love and Thunder

#I mean... I loved this beautiful fanart of the ship of the Marvel characters of Loki Laufeyson and Jane Foster together. But above all because I also loved the fanfiction fic to which Lokane's Fanart belongs. I love that at the top they put Loki and Jane like when they were in the battle in the dark world and that at the bottom they put them as if they were at their wedding. It's absolutely beautiful, seriously. I'm really a true fan of the ship of Loki Laufeyson and Jane Foster together.

Falling Star by Alydia Rackham - the fic that got me into fanfiction. Incredibly fond place in my heart. It holds up surprisingly well today given my age at the time.

After being inspired by the book “Ghost: Retelling the Phantom of the Opera” by Alydia Rackham I am once again drawing crossovers.

Have a young Erik and Quasi. Ghost mentions Notre Dame and the associated book a lot, and of course, these two would be friends (if their stories weren’t several hundred years apart). They’re about 8-10 here, and hanging out in Notre Dame’s belltower (which I cannot draw I’m so sorry).

I also made up an AU where Erik was born in the 1400′s and Quasi sneaks out of the belltower to investigate the circus set up in the square and finds this boy like him. Quasi, with the help of a fiesty little Esmeralda, frees Erik and takes him to Notre Dame and hides him in the belltower till Erik has recovered from his ordeal in the circus. After that the AU diverges and either little Esmeralda convinces them to escape to the Court of Miracles with her and they are taken in by the gypsies, or, more entertainingly, Frollo just comes up into the belltower one day and inexplicably finds two deformed little boys there instead of one and Erik ends up employed by the archbishop. He and Quasi get up to shenanigans and sing in Notre Dame after their chores are done. In both branches, a few years down the road a certain young Christine Daae appears in Paris while her father is on business and meets the boys. Erik is immediately smitten but knows she must be scared of him. Christine thinks he’s cute

It’s a beautiful October! We usually expect a lot of new Phantom materials around Halloween, but they’re usually less light than this, so we can only hope there’ll be more for next month, too!

Phantom Heart by Kelly Creagh is billed as a “steamy YA romance” and is set in the present day, with some supernatural weirdness and a crumbling Gothic mansion. So really, all the ingredients you might need.

Phantom’s Beauty, Part 1 by Rose La Belle is the first part of a neat little retelling in which it’s actually Daddy Daae who is kidnapped by the Phantom, and Christine who must find the Phantom’s lair and attempt to rescue him.

Phantom’s Beauty, Part 2 by Rose La Belle is the second installment, in which Christine agrees to remain and do sexy things with the Phantom in exchange for his promise to release her father.

Phantom’s Beauty, Part 3 by Rose La Belle is the last part, in which Christine and the Phantom become romantically involved. The fact that each of these three parts is only about 100 pages long is a little annoying, though, suggesting as it does that the author is trying to get extra money out of readers by making them buy multiple volumes for no real reason.

The Guardian of the Opera: Dawn Melody by Cheryl Mahoney is another in the author’s ballet-focused Phantom and Meg series, now with competing love interests and Christine back to possibly seek revenge on her tormenter.

Ghost Dance by Christine Pope is a sequel to the original story, in which Christine hears rumors of the Opera Ghost appearing in Paris again after his supposed death years ago and sets out to investigate. Pope is more famous for her modern-day retelling No Return, but this one doesn’t seem to be related to that one.

The Bureau of Investigative Time Travel: Phantom of the Royal Opera by Alydia Rackham is part of a series of time travel investigations, and involves an opera house just beginning to reopen after a deadly fire, only to begin seeing strange, ghostly occurrences...
