“What’d you do today?”
Haechan blinks a few times, tilting his head to one side in deep thought.
Woke up. Jerked off in bed.
Ate breakfast.
Took a shower. Jerked off in the shower.
Got dressed. Logged on to play League. Took a break and jerked off.
Opened twitter and jerked off again.
Jaemin clears his throat, chomping on a piece of celery. “Dude? Are you listening?”
“Uh yeah, nothing man, gamed and shit.”
“Gooned all day as usual, didn’t you?”
Renjun shrugs, nudging Haechan’s shoulder. “I’m at six today so far.”
“Pretty sure Jeno was emptying his shit while we watched the new Batman last night.” Jaemin says annoyed.
“Dude, I told you I was tired!” Jeno explains, stealing a wing from his plate. “You wanted to watch that stupid movie so bad.”
“You guys act like we don’t all live together and jerk off around each other all of the time.” Renjun shrugs. “At this point I’d recognize Haechan by his dick alone.”
“Dude for real?” Haechan looks at him stunned, hand placed over his heart. “That’s so cute.”
“Of course man, that birthmark on your upper thigh is hard to forget.”
“I’ll have to get a better look at yours next time. I could probably only recognize Jeno’s.” Haechan mumbles that last part, clearing his throat and returning attention back to his food.
“Yeah, we know why.” Jaemin sneers, throwing a wing bone at him. “Just say you want him to fuck you.”
“I’m not opposed to it.” He shrugs, lifting an eyebrow at Jeno’s lost expression with his tongue shoved between a now cleaned off wing.
“Dude.” Jeno grimaces, side-eyeing his friend. “You know, none of us would ever survive no nut November. We’d end up fucking each other if pussy didn’t exist.”
“No nut November is a bunch of bullshit anyway. Life is too short for anything other than gooning.” Renjun nods, high-fiving Jaemin across the table.
“Exactly! If anything we should be maximizing our gooning.” Jaemin hums, dipping a carrot in ranch. “Goonmaxxing..”
“That sounds ridiculous.” Haechan shakes his head, slapping the table. “Where do I sign up?”
“What the fuck is goonmaxxing..” Jeno questions, sucking his fingers clean of sauce.
“Jeno, if you keep doing that I’m seriously gonna have to fuck you.” Haechan smirks, making his friend stop with a look of disgust. “Anyway, allow me to explain for my friends who were dropped on their heads too early in life.”
“Hey, I was dropped on my head?!” Jeno repeats, confused.
“Give it a minute.” Jaemin nods.
“Wait, fuck you man.” Jeno glares at Haechan, shucking one of his dirty napkins at him.
“Don’t tempt me.” He smiles, biting on the used napkin, earning a collective round of groans from his friends. “Listen guys, we already either spend most of our time beating our meat or spending hours buried deep inside a warm wet hole.”
“Sometimes an entire day.” Jaemin raises his eyebrows cockily.
“Sure, anyway.” Haechan continues. “No nut November’s for idiot incels, we’re better than that. We already goon like it's a sport, why don’t we do our own version? Instead of not getting off, we compete to get off more than each other. We fuck fleshlights, we fuck pussy, shit you put a good enough looking cake in front of me and I might even fuck that.”
“What’s the point of competing?” Renjun scoffs, silenced by Jaemin’s thick hand landing down on the center of the table on top of a hundred dollar bill.
“Whoever can’t get the most nut each day adds a bill to the pool. After a month we’ll tally up who had the most wins and one of us gets a fat prize.” He grins ear to ear, tapping the $100. “Starting today we all contribute a Benjamin to sweeten the pot.”
“So let me get this straight..” Jeno leans back, rubbing his chin. “We’re going to have a month long gooning competition?”
Haechan claps excitedly, bouncing in his chair. “Good boy! You got that so fast!”
“You know what,” Jeno grits at his friend, reaching for his wallet. “I’m in, you losers have nothing on my dick game.”
Haechan shrugs, he can’t disagree with that. “Fine, but the thing about fucking real pussy is- you jerk off a lot less when you can have the real thing. Count me in too, because if there’s anything I know I can do like a pro, it’s kill an entire day with my hand wrapped around my dick.” Confidently, he whips out a hundred to add to the pile.
Three sets of eyes land on Renjun who sits leaned forward with his elbows on the table, biting on his thumb nail. “I don’t know about this guys. Like yes, it’s a normal everyday habit but I have a lot of exams coming up in the next few weeks to focus on..”
“And what better way to relieve your stress buddy?!” Haechan rumbles, wrapping around his shoulders to shake him around. “Come on man! If you win, think of the money!”
“We’ll even get a little trophy with a little plaque.” Jaemin laughs. “King of the goons!”
“Yeah come onnnn.” Jeno pipes in, tapping a finger on the pile of bills. “Do it!”
The three begin to mimic each other, chanting ‘Do it! Do it! Do it!’ In unison until he shakes off Haechan and throws up his arms. “Fine fine! Jesus,” he curses, sliding a hand into his front pocket in search of his wallet. “Guess I’m in.”
Jaemin slaps the table, standing up in the thankfully mostly empty restaurant they frequent. “It’s official. Starting tomorrow we enter our month of Goonmaxxing. The only goal: goon or die.”
“Goon or die!” Haechan repeats, lifting up his half-empty cup of diet Coke.
Renjun frowns, slouching back in his seat as his three idiotic best friends begin to type out rules on the notes app.
Sure, no nut November would never work for them considering how often he’s walked in on each of them jerking off ever since they moved in together last semester, but something about feeling obligated to get off with a goal in mind didn’t sound very smart either.
“You guys are so fucked, pretty sure I jerked off about 10 times the other day.” Jeno chuckles, rubbing his hands together. “That money's mine.”
“Don’t be too confident there Mr. Worldwide.” Jaemin wiggles a finger at him. “Besides, I’ve only nutted a few times today. I should be ready to drop loads all day tomorrow.”
“Interesting.” Haechan sits up, quickly pulling out a twenty to cover his meal and tip. “Gotta blast.”

Until your song is written.
I must shamelessly take this opportunity to thank you all. Yesterday I reached 100 followers and I can't believe that there are so many people who enjoy reading my stuff. I would like to take this opportunity to open my question and request box. Don't be shy to send me questions or ideas you want to discuss, whether it is Dinbo stuff or something about Mandalorian culture.
This is the way.
Tumblr media
The scene starts with a completely shattered Bo-Katan. You can tell that she has to pull herself together not to burst into tears. Her confession about the night of a thousand tears and the memory of it seem to torment her. She hears Din approaching and tries to compose herself by briefly closing her eyes.
Tumblr media
I think Din apologizing to Bo is one of the most beautiful things in this scene. He admits once again in this season that he was wrong. Din Djarin knows no false pride and has no problem admitting mistakes. And he admits what's been said about her being selfish and uncaring isn't true. It seems to have touched him that Bo-Katan gave up the darksaber for her people, gave up the claim to the regency.
Tumblr media
Din steps up to her after she repeatedly blames herself for everything. He tries to build her up, not downplay what she did or what happened, just making sure that he wants to help her. He says: ''WE will rebuild it.'' A foreshadowing that you both should bring the future for Mandalore?
Tumblr media
She doubts herself, still. She has made so many mistakes, mistakes that are unforgivable, that she cannot undo. How is she supposed to be the one to hold her people together in all the animosity?
Tumblr media
Din repeatedly makes it clear that this weapon means nothing to him and his people. I think it's really ironic that so many have a problem with Din giving up the darksaber. He just doesn't care. It's just a story, a legend that doesn't matter until people believe it. And he also makes it clear what really matters to him, he basically tells us what it means to him to be a good Mandalorian.
Tumblr media
When Din mentions the term honor, she seems to sigh slightly and raises her head. She's heard those words from him too many times. For a short break it seems that his words are bothering Bo-Katan. Honor... This is the way. It seems to be a constantly repeating mantra.
Tumblr media
Din appreciates Bo-Katan's loyalty and character. These things that have been most important to him since we saw him first time in season 1. And Bo seems to appreciate his words as you can see a very faint smile on her lips. It's good to hear such words after years of being reminded of her failure by others.
Tumblr media
That's why I serve you Lady Kryce. After this words I really think Din Djarin's love language is act's of service as he showed many times to different people who he cared for. He is not a man of many or fancy words, but of deeds. So what's a better way to show his affection than to offer his services to her. She doesn't have to go through this alone, he wants to stand by her side.
Tumblr media
Bo-Katan turns her head to him after his words. It's obvious that she wanted to hide her feelings before and remained with her back to him. Now she shows him her face for the first time in this conversation. Din Djarin has managed to amaze her time and time again, and her expression softens because of his words to her.
Din gives her hope. Your story is not over yet. Her song is not yet written. The Mandalorian's main musical theme sounds in the backround. He begins to weave his fate irreversibly into hers.
Tumblr media
I know some people have wrote, more or less jokingly, that this could be Din Djarins wedding vow. But it's not that exaggerated and ridiculous. We must not forget that the Mandalorians are based on a clan system of warriors. If Mandalorians are one thing, it's very pragmatic. Marriage is consummated between the two partners alone and in any place. Just before or after a fight, the couple doesn't even have to be in the same place. The marriage can even be consummated via voice or text messages. (if you are interested in this kind of topic, please tell me!!)
Honor and loyalty means everything to Din. He would not lightly pledge his life to someone. It means exactly what you suspected, he stands by her side until death.
Screenshots are mine. Gifs made by the wondeful @itberice. Please go and leave a follow and some love there!

Helllloooo if requests are still open could I request reader taking care of RAMATTRA :3? There's alot of reader comfort out there but good gd this dude needs a nap.
Author's Note: Another request, I'm so happy! I agree with you 100%, let him get some rest. Thank you so much for requesting this ❤️ Hope you'll enjoy it
Taking care of Ramattra
Since he left the Shambali Monastery, Ramattra has become more of an overachiever. Humanity's continuous aggression towards omnics forced him to ignore his own needs just to work on plans, strategies, and new machines, all for a better future. He saw no problem with that but, he's not alone anymore, and you're worried for him.
When you propose taking a break for his own good, he simply replies with how he doesn't need it, changing the subject. Of course, he takes note of your worried expression from your face but does not want to bother explaining that you have no reason to be worried for him, at first.
"My system is running in optimal conditions. I do not require rest like humans do." He caved in and explained to you calmly, causing you to sigh in defeat. Even if you knew that it was true, it was his mind that needed rest more than his body. You understand that it will be complicated to get him to relax.
You noticed how he didn't even meditate the way he still used to even after leaving Shambali. It was a part of his routine but not anymore so it seemed. Instead of pointing it out, ask him if he can teach you how to do it. He will look at you over his shoulder in silence, pondering and analyzing your expression. It was his right to be suspicious as you never asked for this before. Right when you think he is going to refuse, the orb from his staff floats toward his right hand. "Follow me, and pay attention." He muttered. Somehow, this one trick to get him to rest went unnoticed.
Maybe you can try a straightforward approach as well. If he is working, walk to him, ask about what he's working on. As he talks, put a hand over his and gently pull him towards you by his hand. "And what is it you think you're doing?" He stops explaining and asks but still lets himself be guided by you. You tell him that you wish to read something to him and he refuses right away. This calls for desperate measures. "Just give it a chance. Like you did with me…" You say with a hopeful look in your eyes when looking at him. With that, consider it done. You knew that you got him with that one. "Fine, but it better not take long." He sighs in frustration as he lays down next to you.
In the first minutes, Ramattra just waits broodingly for this break to end. Gradually, as he listens to your voice and your breathing, he starts to lose track of time and forget about what he had to do later. He finds himself turning his body more towards yours, even maybe placing his head on your chest, hoping that you won't ask why.
That's the time he discovers another way of relaxing. It has even become his favorite. Laying his head on your chest, his sound sensor close to your heart. He is surprised by how pleasant the sound of it is. Listening to the steady beats makes him feel like every circuit from his body slows down and because he's alone with you, he allows it.
He cannot admit that he felt better afterward, but he surely won't let your thoughtful gesture pass without thanking you. "I am grateful for this moment of peace. Perhaps I can…find some time to repeat this in the days to come."
Even so, there's a long way to go if you expect him to take a break freely on his own. You will still have to keep an eye on him.
When he needed to think something over or find a solution to a problem, he usually traveled to Shambali where he watched the monastery alone, from afar. There is something in the scenery that brings him calmness every time. Plan a little trip to Shambali for him. Tell him that you need to go there for something and you need him to guide you. When his steps bring you two to his favorite spot, just stay silent and let him have a moment of peace. Watch how his shoulders drop and how his breathing becomes more deeply. He might remain silent or open up to you. If the latter happens, it usually leads to a deep conversation, and for him, this also counts as a way to relax.

Say please?
Lee!Felix
Ler!Chan
——————————————————————
——————————————————————
——————————————————————
Last night, Felix went to bed early in hopes of killing that horrible lee mood that he had just gotten. However, when he woke up, not only was the lee mood not gone but it had gotten much worse.
Today was supposed to be a pretty busy day, so the long haired boy hoped that all that work would help him forget the feeling. After having a quick breakfast, him and his bandmates headed to dance pratice, where they practiced their new choreography for a couple hours. While he was working on a specific move, Lee Know had walked up to him, trying to correct him by gripping his sides in an attempt to show him in which direction his hips should be facing. But that didn’t quite turn out the way it was supposed to… Felix was pretty ticklish and combined with his mood, he almost crumbled to the ground, even if he knew that the cat boy had no intentions in tickling him.
But it didn’t stop there. He was in the studio, recording some songs for their new comeback. It felt like he had repeated the same lines 100 times, but he still just couldn’t get them quite right. He started groaning and stomping around like a child, when he heard Chan’s voice through his headphones “Felix, if you don’t get these line one more time, I swear I will tickle you to tears~!” Chan was obviously joking around, but it still left blushing and fantasizing about it.
When all of their work of the day was done, it was almost 9;00 pm. Once everyone arrived back into their dorms, Felix ran into the bathroom to shower first. After a relaxing warm shower, he wrapped himself in a soft towel, only to realise that he hadn’t grabbed any clean clothes. It didn’t really matter anyway though, because it’s like they would see anything new (i am pretty sure they’ve seen eachother naked more than one time). So, he just walked to his room with only a towel wraped around his waist. As he entered his room, he was ready to take off the towel covering him, but then he heard a voice, scaring him to death “Don’t get undressed Yongbok! I’m in here, you know? Disgusting!” “BANG CHRISTOPHER CHAN! Do you know how much you scared me?!” His australian brother just giggled “Atleast put on some underwear or something before I talk to you… I won’t look!” Chan said as he turned his head the other way. Felix just groaned and went over to his closet to get some boxers and shorts. “Now that you’re dressed a bit more appropriately I can talk to you” “Shut up! (imagine this with a heavy australian accent) “Ok so, I see how jumpy and giggly you were all day. Are you perhaps in a lee mood?” what. How could Chan possibly know what that even is?! Felix couldn’t help but get all red and flustered “W-what is that…” “A what? A lee mood? You probably wonder how I found out? Haven’t you seen it? Your tumblr account got leaked! I didn’t even know that app existed until news came out and it was so surprising because…” Oh. My. God. His tumblr account got what now? He didn’t even post anything on there! This must be the most embarassing thing ever! He was sure he was so red by now… “Hello? Are you even listening to me?” “W-what? How?!” “Ihihi’m just kidding, it hasn’t been leaked, I just found it myself…” “You don’t even know if it was me!” “Oh, please, you leave your phone unlocked far too often” “I don’t! I just told you my password because I trusted you. Obviously I don’t anymore…” “Oh please Lix, I’m not mad or disgusted or whatever, I just want to help you” “W-with what?” “Are you stupid on purpose? Your l-e-e mood!” the chick didn’t even want to know how red he was… “I-I’m not in whatever mood that is” Felix angrily said, turning away from his hyung. He thought that Chan would leave the subject and go do his own thing, but, as he was choosing what shirt to wear, the kangaroo walked up behind him and picked him up by grabbing Lixxie by the waist and carried him to the bed “Dour nourt(it’s like do not but with an aussie accent) try to even deny it, mate” Felix just gulped and anticipated the lers next moves “Well?” Chan asked, laying the boy down onto his bed and sitting on his hips “…Well w- what?” Felix had his eyes wide open, scanning his hyung’s body, registering every single move that he might be able of predicting “Are you being stupid on purpose? Well, are you going to admit it or should I force it out of you?” the blonde(i forgor if his hair is actually blonde atm) haired boy gulped, looking away from the threatining gaze. Chan wasn’t trying to be mean, he was just playing around, not actually trying to scare the younger.
This is killing me! If only Chan knew…
But Chan did know, Yongbok was just in deep denial. Not like he would admit it, but Felix was unknowingly trying to get his bandmate to discover his precious secret. Before, he would even delete the app when he was simply around Chan or just the group, but, as time passed, he started to even leave the app oppened and would sometimes use it around them. Chris knew.
“Alright, alright, I won’t torture for any longer, but I’ll atleast give you 3 more seconds to speak before I start” “Speak about wha-“ “One..!” “Wait, Channie Hyu-“ “Two…!” “CHAN WAHAHAIT-“ “Three! Too bad you didn’t get to say much, Lix…” Without a warning, Chan dug into the lee’s sides “CHAHAHAHAHAN WAHAHAHAIT WAHA- PLEHEHAHAHSEHE” His hysterical laughter only amused the older, leaving him hungry for more giggles “Aww, but we’ve just started! Plus, didn’t you want this? There’s no time to wait~” Felix’s lee mood, ticklishness and Chan’s teasing all combined left the poor boy squirming and jerking around, trying his best to stop his arms from disturbing the tickler “ANOHOHOHOHOTHER SPOHOHOHOHOT PLEHEHEHEHEHEAHASE! CHAHAHAHAN!” “Oh? Wreck another spot at the same time aswell? Why didn’t you just ask?” When Chan looked up to see his friend’s face, he was met with a pinkish-redish laughing mess. The blush had ran down from his ears to his cheek and was slowly leaking onto his neck. Cute. The fact that ge was probably enjoying this made the process even more fun and cute “Felix, do you know what my favourite berry is? Except from my own, of course” The kangaroo slowed down his attack to let the younger speak “I dohohon’t know and don’t wanna kn-OHOHOHOHO GAHAHAHAHAHA CHAHAHAN!” Lix’s deep belly laugher soon was escaping his throat as Chan pressed his lips onto the victim’s side and blew a big raspberry. But Chan wouldn’t stay in one spot for long, he kept on switching between his stomach, sides and V line, sometimes going up to his ribs. At this point Felix felt like he could not keep his arms away from his attacker, he just wasn’t able of taking so many rough tickles in all of his worst spots “CH-CHAHAHAHAHAN! MIHIHSTER BAHAHAHAHANG! PLEHEHEASE PLEHEHEHEHASE ANOHOHOTHER SPO- SPOHOHOHOHOHT!” When Felix begged like that, Chan felt obligated to oblige “Fine~ But you have to choose what spot, because it’s just too hard to pick one myself” the ler sheepishly smiled, turning his gaze back onto his aussie soulmate. Felix took too long to recolect himself and answer, or maybe he just had nothing to say “Alright, you’re taking your time on purpose~ I know it’s hard to choose one place when you’re too damn ticklish everywhere…” Chan shook his head side to side, resembling dissapointment. Felix just blushed and looked away, too flustered to speak “I’m not going to do anything if you stay quiet. Don’t worry, we have plenty of time, I can wait” Chan looked down, mischievously smiling, knowing that this was killing the younger “You’re so anohohoying, just do it!” “Say please…?” Felix bit the inside of his cheecks, feeling his stomach do front and backflip at the same time. The anticipation was eating him alive, so, knowing that his very much awaited award was one word away, gave him a sudden burst of confidence “PLEASE BANG CHRISTOPHER CHAN T-TICKLE ME!” said man flinched, almost jumping away from his victim “Well, if you say so~” He teasingly placed his palms onto his sides and slowly pressed his fingers onto the lee’s tender skin. Felix looked down, processing and trying to predict his ler’s future moves. His eyes moved up and down onto Chan’s face and back to his hands, dreading every second that passed. Chan on the other hand found the younger’s torture rather amusing.
To Felix’s surprise, Chan got inpatient aswell, digging his fingers into the poor boy’s sides “OHOHOHOHOHOHO GOOHOD CHAHAHAN PL-PLEHEHEASE!” Yongbok started begging alomost immediately “Wait, didn’t I already tickle your sides?” “YEHEHEHEHS!” “Why didn’t you tell me?! I just waisted so much precious time when I could’ve been-“ “CH-CHAHAHAHAHN STOHOHOP TEHEHEHEASING!” said man just smiled, moving his torturous moves down to his victim’s legs and pressed his fingers deep into the muscle making Felix agressively flinch to the side “AHAHAHAHAHAHA HYUHUHUHUHUNG” “What is it, Felix?” “WAHAHAHAHAIT WHAHAHT JUHUHST AHAHA SEHEHECOND PLEHEHEASE!!” Chan was ruthless, but not cruel, so, per the sunshine’s request, he stopped his quick fingers “What is it?” Words could not express how worried he was after he checked the state of his bandmate — not only were his face, neck and ears beet red, but also his whole upper body. Chan watched with horror in his eyes, afraid he might have crossed a couple lines “I- I” Felix was still catching his breath “I want to t-tickle me harder” he said, completely exhausted. The kangaroo glanced at him with an eyebrow raised “I would agree, but Felix, I think you’re too tired for that…” “NO Chan I promise I-Ihi’m not tired a-“ Felix cut himself of by falling alseep. Chris looked at him with heart eyes, simply adoring the sigh that he had just witnessed.
The elder picked up the long haired boy up and carefully laid him down properly and tucked him into his bed. He made sure to not forget his younger brother’s speacial request to completely satisfy his mood the next morning…

And also, the reasons behind each pairing
1.Steve, Max, and Will-
C’mon, have you SEEN the SASS? I guess one could argue Dustin should also be here, but his sass™️ is reserved for his brothers. Also, imagine the gossip sessions, like Will ranting about anything and Max and Steve absolutely cheering him on because he is 100% in the right.
2.Eddie, Robin, and Will-
Queer in a small town, Barb could also probably be in this group. They all bash each-other’s crushes until Robin wants to date Nancy, and Eddie starts liking Steve. Will would absolutely still be trashed for his crush on Mike. Robin would still bash on Eddie like have you seen that man? He’ll watch the same movie on repeat until he has to being it back.
Eddie just sighs and is like, I know, he’s great.
3.Nancy, Chrissy,Barb, and Robin-
Barb and Chrissy absolutely needed more screentime!! They were both so aghhh<33 They all kinda band together to do sleepovers and stuff, sometimes El and Max are invited when they aren’t doing their own thing. I just really like the characters.
4.Steve and Gareth-
Okay guys, have you seen that Steve and Gareth cousin au??(Someone please tell me the creator so I can credit them) Steve having another extravagant handshake for Gareth and Gareth always gushing about his cool older cousin to hellfire who is just like uh-huh sure Gareth.
I know theres the idea that Gareth would despise Steve, but also Gareth inviting Steve to hellfire after he got dethroned because Steve was there for his tough times so why can’t he be there for his?
5.Holly, Erica, and Steve-
Lets take babysitter!Steve to the MAX. All the parent call him when their younger kids need to be watched, he watches Holly for the Wheelers all the time to the point where he’s her brother, and she pretends to forget Mike’s name for like a week.
Erica insists only Steve can watch her, because he’s the only one who lets her watch My Little Pony without judging her or treating her like a baby, also because he starts getting into the show. Sometimes Tina and the rest of Erica’s friends come over and rope him into letting them paint his nails. Random days Steve will show up to Erica’s school with some McDonalds for her.
6.Murray and Alexei-
Self-explanatory because c’mon, really?
7.Steve, Will, and El-
Steve ADORES the Byers siblings, they say thank you when he does stuff for them, they are usually never the source of trouble when they go out.
Sometimes Will will just be so nice that it makes Steve feel bad for what he told Jonathan in s1 before their fight, because nobody in the Byers family is a screw-up except Lonnie, who was just a giant douche and a terrible father.
The only thing Steve dislikes about them is their respective crushes on Mike, because are you serious? He’s well on his way to becoming the next town Keith.
8.El and Max-
Also pretty self explanatory, El needs a better role model than Mike, and Max being overwhelmingly confident in every decision helps. Max also tries to make sure El doesn’t push herself to hard. Oh your head hurts? Lets get you some juice, we have this new flavor you’d like. You don’t feel good? Lets take a break. You scrapped your knee? I have a first aid kit somewhere…
Etc etc, Max just always making sure El feels comfortable.

this is the raffle fic for the winner of the cat-baret raffle, @psychopomp-enthusiast !! they requested a geto x reader fake dating and I was more than happy to oblige *:・゚✧(=✪ ᆺ ✪=)*:・゚✧ permission was granted to post this fic! also, sorry in advance if there's any she/her usage or fem terms used for reader! I try my best to edit and ensure they're 100% gn, but sometimes things slip through the cracks! let me know if I messed up anywhere!
Tumblr media
"You want me to do what?"
You kept your hands firmly over your face, already thoroughly humiliated by the request at hand. If not for the fact that Satoru would certainly value holding something over your head as blackmail, he would've already ran and told Suguru about your little plan.
"I'm not repeating myself!"
"No, no, seriously, I think I didn't hear you!"
Satoru's disbelief had melded into disbelief and humor, his eyes lighting up at your misery. "Tell me what you wanted my help with again!"
"Satoru, you are a dick!"
"I don't think that's how you ask someone for help if you really need them to help you out."
"Forget it."
"Why do you want me to pretend to date you, of all things?" he chuckled, ignoring your words and continuing the conversation, plopping himself right onto your desk. You glared at him, having half a mind to shove him off onto the floor. "Wouldn't that just make Suguru upset?"
"No— Well, yes, but like, not intentionally."
"You literally have bad intentions with this plan."
You shoved him hard, but the white-haired boy managed to keep his ass firmly on your desk, laughing at the futility of your gesture. You slumped backwards in your seat.
"What's the point?"
"The point is that he'd realize he likes me back. Or, if he doesn't like me, I'd be able to tell by him not caring. Or something like that..."
"That's stupid."
You groaned. You knew that.
"He's definitely the type of guy to just let it go and suffer in silence. I mean, I've been friends with him for ages. He'd be all, 'I'm happy you're happy, Satoru!' or something."
You knew that too. That's one of the reasons you liked him, for God's sake.
"So let's do it."
"Huh?!"
You shot up in your seat, eyeing your friend suspiciously. He only shot you a catlike grin in turn.
"Well, you asked me, Suguru's closest friend. So obviously, I could wring it out of him if he was really upset, and then boom, the sham is up! You two date! Happily ever after!"
You gave him an unimpressed look, and he whistled indignantly.
"...Or I could ask Shoko. Whatever."
"And what do you get out of this?"
"Entertainment?" Satoru batted his annoyingly long eyelashes at you prettily, placing his hands under his chin in a mock-gesture that made you want to strangle his perfect skin. "Fun? The satisfaction that I finally get to stop seeing you pine after him—"
"What do you really want?"
"You treat me to sweets anytime I want. It fits into the scheme, anyways! And besides, Suguru kinda pissed me off last week."
"You're literally rich! And you probably started it! What do you mean, he pissed you off?"
Satoru raised his eyebrow at you, and you let out a long, deep, exaggerated sigh.
"Fine."
"Yippee!" You could've pelted him the way he, a grown ass man, pranced around the room like a little toddler girl. As if he even needed your money for his sugar addiction.
"Prick," you muttered, just out of earshot of the strongest as he walked towards the door.
"Okaaay, I'm going now, my dearest! Have some Kikufuku on my desk tomorrow and I'll consider the contract sealed!"
"Prick!" you shouted it this time, really throwing something (a small eraser) but Satoru had already dashed out the door, laughing all the way.
Regardless, you collapsed into your seat again, utterly mortified.
Would this really work?
Guess you had to try.
"What's this?"
Suguru, despite himself, found himself questioning the packet of Kikufuku on Satoru's desk. They'd only just come from the dorms, and they'd done so together as usual, so there was no way Satoru would've had time to get it for himself. Not to mention...
"Isn't this the specialty one from Sendai, too? What, did you do Shoko a huge favor?"
The raven-haired man wasn't pleased when the only response he got was a happy hum from his white-haired friend, who sat down and inspected the treat before popping a piece of mochi in his mouth.
"No," he finally spoke up after a beat of silence, mouth stuffed (causing Suguru to gag in an over-exaggerating fashion). "This is from the best partner in the world! My pookie bear!"
"Very funny," Suguru deadpanned.
Satoru looked offended for a moment, but his affronted expression melted into a look of pure glee as soon as he heard the sliding door open.
Suguru looked up at that, a small smile coming to his lips as he spotted you walk into the room.
"Hey, Y/N—"
"Sweetie!"
The smile dropped at once when he watched his friend bound over to your side, immediately hanging off of you. This wasn't necessarily unusual, but the pet name—not to mention how you didn't immediately shove Satoru off as you usually would—caught Suguru's attention.
"Satoru, stop. We're in class."
"But you got this Kikufuku especially for me, right? Come on, let me pay you back with some cuddles~"
You pushed Satoru away by the cheek, but didn't necessarily work to extricate yourself from him. The raven-haired man definitely noticed this time.
An unpleasant feeling rose in Suguru's gut, but he played it as coolly as he could.
"What's this? Are you two going out or something?" he mocked, chuckling in disbelief. You looked contemplative, and Satoru got a nasty smirk on his face.
As if—
"Yeah, we are," you answered back, equally as calm. The man hanging off of your arm looked all-too pleased with himself as you answered, whereas Suguru had practically gone into shock.
"S-Seriously?" The sorcerer tried to keep his outward dismay to a minimum, but a stutter still edged its way into his voice.
While you were far too distracted in subtly attempting to remove Satoru's arms from around you without making it obvious that your "relationship" was a sham, the man clutching onto you was relishing in the way his friend tried desperately to remain casual at the news.
"Seriously, seriously!" Satoru chimed in, wrapping his arms around your waist in a tight hug. That was the point you gave up trying to get him away.
"Well, congratulations," Suguru muttered, half-hearted words barely forced out. He eyed you for any sign of this being a trick, but to his utter despair, your poker face revealed none of what he was searching for—humor, annoyance, anything that might tell him that Satoru was making the whole thing up.
"Thanks," you murmured back, a bit dismayed yourself.
Did he even care—
"So who asked who ou—"
"Okay, in your seats, everyone," Yaga walked into the room, cutting off Suguru's desperate question, glaring at you three. "Shoko's out on business and won't be back until the afternoon, so it's just you lot."
"Okaaaay," Satoru dragged his feet, letting go of you reluctantly and plopping himself into his seat. You sat one over from him, right between he and Suguru.
Throughout the entire class, your white-haired friend couldn't help but chuckle to himself at your raven-haired friend's urgent glances your way.
By the time Yaga had dismissed you three, Suguru excused himself quite quickly and practically ran out the door.
Well, strode was more like it, but Satoru could see the hurry in his steps.
Off to tell Shoko all about it, he was sure.
"See? He didn't seem to care at all," you pouted a bit, head slumped on your desk. Bright blue eyes rolled in incredulity at your density.
"Seriously? He always sticks around after class to hang out. Why else would he have ran off?"
"To not see you making a fool of yourself and drooling all over me?"
It was tempting to take that Kikufuku in Satoru's hand and pelt him right between the eyes with it as he batted his eyelashes innocently, but you resisted your violent urges. He only chuckled more, popping treat after treat past his lips.
"I think you're being dumb."
"You're dumb."
"Am not! Suguru's the dumb one, really."
"He's not dumb!" you fired back. "He clearly just isn't interested in me, so let's just stop this already."
"Wow, I've only been your fake boyfriend for a day, and you're already trashing me. Shame!"
"I just don't want to owe you more desserts than I have to for something that clearly won't work."
Satoru whistled. "Well, at least I got one bag of Kikufuku out of it!"
"Jerk..." you muttered.
A beat of silence passed, and you half-expected the man to up and leave after getting bored, but when you glanced up, you saw him fiddling with his flip phone.
Then, he grinned at the screen, turning to you.
"Let's go to Suzukien."
"What? Why?" you asked. In all fairness, matcha gelato did sound pretty delicious at the moment, especially to offput your bad mood. However, you'd be loath to admit when Satoru had a good idea lest his head inflate to the size of a large balloon.
"Just feel like a colder treat. Your treat, 'cause I helped you out and all."
You grumbled and pulled your bag over your shoulders, walking over to the door. "Fine, let's go."
"Yay!"
The second Suguru had gotten out of class, as Satoru had guessed, he had gone straight to Shoko.
She nearly leapt out of her seat as the door slammed open, whipping around with a glare to shush her friend.
"Are you insane? This is a clinic. I'm working."
"Did you know Y/N and Satoru are dating?"
For a moment, Shoko's expression reflected pure horror and pity, but then, she stopped. It took her a total of 5 seconds of thought to put two and two together, and she shrugged.
"No, they're not."
"They just told me they are."
"Then you're an idiot for believing them."
Suguru plopped himself into the cold metal chair in the corner, eyeing Shoko and awaiting an explanation. She sighed, finishing up her technique on the patient and removing her gloves, walking over to her table full of various medical tools.
"I remember like a year ago, there was a guy I thought was kind of cute. Gojo had this grand idea to get him jealous by pretending we were going out, but the catch was that I had to buy him sweets whenever he wanted. It lasted maybe a day, but he does a good job of being overbearingly annoying as a fake boyfriend."
Suguru, for all his intelligence, was still a bit slow. Perhaps it was the implication of you having some sort of feelings for him that ran the train of disbelief in his mind.
"And that connects to this situation... why?"
Shoko looked at him, extremely unimpressed.
"Did Gojo have a pack of sweets on his desk?"
"Yeah, Kikufuku..."
"And were they from Y/N?"
"He said—" Suguru paused, his brain running a mile a minute. Then, he buried his face in his hands. Shoko only pulled out her flip phone, typing away.
"I'm an idiot."
"Yes, you are."
"I bet this is because Yaga backed me up when we were arguing over the pronunciation of a word last week..."
"Probably. That's Gojo for you."
"So do I ask them out now?"
"What do you think?" Shoko flashed her phone's screen in Suguru's face, the man squinting to get a good look at the words.
Gojo had sent a whole slew of text emojis scattered between every word, but somewhere within the endless stream of colons and parenthesis and threes was a message detailing him taking you (or you taking him, more like) to Suzukien.
He was out the door with a quick thanks before the girl could even blink, and she chuckled, popping a cigarette out of the box as she sent one more text to Satoru.
"He's on his way."
You grumbled to yourself even more as you sat at a small bench outside of Suzukien.
The second your money was in the clerk's hand and Satoru's gelato was in his, he had taken off, some shit excuse about having somewhere to be flying off his lips before you could process he'd ran away with the treat.
You silently wondered how much trouble you'd get into with Yaga if you were to smear mochi and red bean paste all over Satoru's desk, when a breathless voice spoke up from next to you.
"Hey."
You jumped slightly, whipping your head to the side to see none other than Suguru. Instantly, your face burned hot.
"U-Uhm, hi. What's up?"
A part of you wondered if this is why Satoru was so enamored with his phone earlier...
"I, uh, talked to Shoko."
"Oh! Um, what would that be about? Here, let me buy you a cone, it's pretty hot out, you look exhausted—"
"No, no, it's okay, uh..." Suguru toyed with his bang, trying to maintain eye contact with you and failing horrendously.
He could talk to you just fine before.
What the hell was going on with him now?!
Right. You'd gone through all the trouble to get roped into Satoru's scheme just at an attempt to convey your feelings without really conveying them, and those feelings just happened to be the same as his—
"Suguru?"
The raven-haired man shook his head. Even if Shoko said what she said, he has to be sure he's not actually trying to steal his best friend's official significant other or anything.
"The dating thing with Satoru wasn't—isn't real, right? Just... Just double checking."
"U-Uhh..." You were torn between perpetuating the lie and telling the truth, but seeing the smoldering look in Suguru's eyes, you shrunk and bowed your head. "N-No, sorry... It was just, uhm, a joke. That's right! Just a joke. I assume Shoko—"
"She told me it was because you wanted to make me jealous."
Well, that was blunt.
It seems Suguru himself realized it, too, because at your flustered expression, he waved a hand frantically.
"But that's just what she said could be it, because Satoru and her did that to another guy! She could've been lying, or just relating it to another experience! Sorry, I didn't mean to—"
"No, no, she's, uhm, she was right," you laughed anxiously, scuffing your shoe against the ground and fidgeting about as your cone slowly melted. "Being completely honest, she was right. I did— I did do it to make you jealous."
"Oh... oh."
The silence was thick with tension between you two, but you soon began giggling—out of pure nerves or actual humor, you weren't sure.
It wasn't long before Suguru joined in, his tense expression softening at your laughter.
"I'm sorry, I was being stupid... I should've just told you."
"No, I think I should've told you first. That I like you, I mean."
Your chuckles ceased at once, hot shock rising in your cheeks.
"Seriously...?"
"Seriously, seriously," Suguru mimicked Satoru. Your eyes widened, and you glanced away, but the raven-haired man only leaned back into your line of sight.
"So, do you want to go out? I'll buy you a new cone to make up for distracting you. It can be our first date."
It was at that moment that you realized the icy cold that was covering your hands, jumping with surprise and embarrassment as you noticed your treat all over your fingers. Suguru only smiled, heading inside and coming back out with some napkins, helping you clean off your hands and toss your cone in the trash.
"Really, though, Suguru, I'll treat. It was my fault for going along with Satoru's—"
"Nuh uh. He already made you buy Sendai Kikufuku. I can't imagine the time and effort to get that for today."
"Well, then, um... Thanks—"
"Finally!"
You two practically spun in a circle at the obnoxious voice ringing out from behind the corner of the block. Satoru waved around his flip phone victoriously, a picture of Suguru and you standing quite close together now on its screen.
"I've already told Shoko! Enjoy your date, lovebirds~!"
Before you could say a word, he had scrambled off, giggling all the way. You and Suguru shared a glance.
"Would you be opposed to sharing the punishment with me if I fucked with Satoru's desk? I was thinking of leaving him a couple of melted gelato cones in there."
"Yaga will kill us, but it'll be worth it."
The two of you smiled, laughing a bit. Then, Suguru led you into the gelato shop, warmth filling his chest.
It took a bit of time and confusion, but he had you.

hiii :] favorite nin songs? i'm curious what others we might share
Hello! :) It's going to be hard not to include everything on The Fragile and Broken, but I will try!
La Mer -> The Great Below -> The Way Out Is Through -> Into The Void. I feel like these four are one continuous work and and they are their strongest together. So I will count them as "one song." Anyway, they impacted me harder than The Downward Spiral (the album) did, which I didn't think was possible. Together, they are one of my favourite works of art of all time. And as someone who went to art school I've seen a lot of incredible art in all kinds of mediums.
Please. I mentioned this in my response to your post but IT KEEPS REPEATING! WILL YOU PLEASE COMPLETE ME?! [Clears throat] I don't know what came over me just then. So basically I wasn't the same man after hearing this for the first time. In my brain, being the writer and composer of Please is one of Trent's highest accomplishments. It's that good to me.
Pilgrimage. I think this one also altered my brain chemistry. It's such a weird track and I can't stop thinking about it. Also the auditory textures are immaculate.
The Becoming. This song is everything to me. Odd time signatures that never feel steady, sounds meant to make you feel very uncomfortable, long verses that never seem to end, extremely deliberate but strange sounding emphasis on syllables, I could go on forever.
Reptile. I don't know how to explain it but this song puts me on a new plane of existence. It feels like an emotional state that is both everything at once and nothing at all. Not to mention it being an incredible work of sound design.
Sin. I wouldn't be reposting the PHM fancam every Monday if I didn't absolutely LOVE this song. It was one of the first NIN songs I heard, and I said to myself "I don't care if the rest of what this guy made is crap, this is one of the best songs I've ever heard."
Ringfinger. A track so underrated sometimes even I forget how good it is. Just generally a really good song that I love, not a lot more to say.
Happiness in Slavery. I love this one because in the intense parts it feels like the song itself is attacking me (positive) but in the quieter moments it feels like a cry for help.
Suck. I really like the balance of intensity, rage, and heavy textures mixed with quiet, sensual, and regretful moments. It's like Closer and The Big Come Down put into a blender.
Only. Immensely catchy with very relatable lyrics, this is one of Trent's best for sure. Actually, it has helped me with social anxiety. If I get really anxious that no one actually likes me, I start singing "I just made (that version of) you UP, to HURT myself" until I convince myself no one actually feels that way about me.
Sunspots. The bass in this one is just incredible, I can almost feel the airwaves vibrate through my body. Combined with Trent's gentle and quiet voice it's a very pleasant sensory experience. Great for decompression after sensory overload.
The Line Begins to Blur. I really, really love the balance of noisiness and texture contrasted with smooth gentle sounds. It's very Fragile-esque but it feels more in control, focused, and significantly less "I'm dead inside." It's truly beautiful in every way.
Discipline. To be honest, Discipline > Head Like a Hole and The Hand That Feeds. Of all the very pop and mainstream songs Trent has made (that I've heard so far), this one is absolutely the strongest for me. It's so undoubtedly Nine Inch Nails, yet fits so perfectly amongst much less alternative/industrial artists. I'm 100% recommending it to anyone who wants to get into NIN. (My Mom also loves this song, it's her favourite NIN song I think.)
1,000,000. This one is kind of amazing to me because it's like every angry depression song Trent made up to that point rolled into one. Like actually just playing them all at the same time, I feel like I'm under psychic attack (positive). It's also... Unfortunately catchy. I have to be careful not to sing it out loud.
Thank you for the ask and for coming to my TED Talk! :)

Disco Elysium For Beginners
So apparently my cunning plan is working and some of my mutuals are interested in learning more about my recent obsession by playing the game Disco Elysium. Great!!! In your honor, and so that I will have more people to talk about the game with, I present to you Laura's Beginner's Guide to Playing Disco Elysium.
What Is It Even About?
Hope, despair, poverty, the human condition, politics, pinball, art, love, loss, communism, experiencing a bisexual awakening in your forties, colonization, dancing, substance use disorders, unions, mental illness, truth, trying to be a good person in a completely broken society, beauty, the end of the world, joy, complicated relationships, kindness, intersectionality, the complex and problematic nature of the profession of police detective, cryptids, juvenile delinquents, PTSD, and falling helplessly in love with Kim Kitsuragi.
Oh wait, did you mean the plot?
You play as an amnesiac detective who wakes up after an apocalyptic bender that obliterated his memories. There is a dead body hanging in a tree behind your hotel, and you are there to find out who killed him with the help of Kim Kitsuragi, a detective from another precinct who has also been put on the case and who will be your partner while you are in town. You can, as the official site puts it, "become a hero, or an absolute disaster of a human being."
Where to Get It
Disco Elysium is available for Mac and PC via Steam and for XBox and Playstation (both current and previous generation) and Nintendo Switch. The current version is "The Final Cut" which includes full voice acting. The Steam version goes on sale pretty frequently - I'd keep an eye on Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales if you're interested in picking it up. The MSRP is $40 but you can often find it for around $20 if you look for a sale - the PS4 version is $17 on Amazon right now (11/15/2022).
I'm Not Really A Gamer, Can I Still Play?
Absolutely! DE does not require any "twitchy" gameplay - you interact with the game by reading/listening to text, selecting dialogue options to talk to people, and clicking things/people to interact with them in some way. It runs very much like a tabletop RPG, where all the uncertain things are decided by skill checks and dice rolls.
Notably, DE is quite replayable even though the solution to the mystery doesn't change, because different character builds will have very different experiences and may even see completely different sidequests and dialogue. Unlike most RPGs, DE makes many checks silently, in the background, and if you don't pass the check you just don't see the relevant content and never know you missed anything. I'm on my third full and sixth partial playthrough and I still find new things.
Mechanically, playing Disco Elysium goes something like this:
Go into a new area.
Look around. You will see little colored circles appearing, either on top of items/people in the environment, or sometimes around your player character's head.
Click on the colored circles to interact with them. You will learn something, do something, or start a conversation.
Doing stuff and talking to people gives you XP! Every time you get 100 XP, you get one Skill Point. You can either use it to increase one of your skills, unlock a slot in your Thought Cabinet, or forget a Thought from your Thought Cabinet. You don't have to spend them right away; you can save them up if you want to.
Once you have clicked everything you want to click and talked to everyone you want to talk to for now, go somewhere else.
Repeat.
What the Hell is a Thought Cabinet?
As you go through the game, you will unlock "thoughts" that you can ponder. You have a certain number of slots in your "thought cabinet" where you can be mulling over an idea; you start with three slots and can unlock more up to a max of 12. Thoughts will have certain effects while you are thinking about them, which might be positive or negative. While you are still thinking them over, you can equip or unequip them at will. Each "thought project" takes a specific amount of time.
Once you have spent the designated time on a thought project, you will see the message "Breakthrough Imminent" and then you will "internalize" the thought. The thought will have effects on the gameplay, which can include skill buffs and debuffs or other effects. Once the thought is internalized, you can no longer unequip it. It will take up that slot permanently unless you spend another skill point to forget it.
So what thoughts should I internalize?
A lot of them are mainly for flavor or role-playing but a few notable ones:
Actual Art Degree gives you bonus XP when you pass a passive Conceptualization check. This is the most common passive check in the game, so AAD is the thought to take if you want to get as many skill points as possible. You unlock the thought by talking about art as much as you can.
Get Jamais Vu as early as you can on Day 1 by talking with Joyce Messier at the dock. It opens up some key dialogue options and skill checks as well as giving you bonus XP whenever you click an orb.
Ace's High or Ace's Low gives you extra Empathy bonuses towards Kim. Which you will want, because Kim is the Best.
Wompty-Dompty-Dom Centre is available starting on Day 3 and will give you $2 and some XP when you pass an Encyclopedia check.
Homo-Sexual Underground. Its only effect is to allow you to talk about sexuality with Kim. Therefore it is the most important thought in the game, because approximately 90% of players will be in love with Kim by the second in-game day.
Okay, What About Skills?
Your character "build" (strengths, weaknesses, abilities, etc.) is primarily determined by two things that you can adjust as the game progresses by spending Skill Points: Skills and Thoughts.
Skills in DE are similar to skills in other RPGs in that they determine how good you are at various things. The main difference is that instead of the more traditional skills like strength, dexterity, or charisma, DE has skills like Savoir Faire, Rhetoric, and Empathy. As befits a game that emphasizes the story and characters over combat, the skills are a lot less about how good you are at punching monsters and a lot more about the state of your character's head. The skills are broken down into four categories:
Blue or Intellect skills - brainy stuff like Logic, Rhetoric, and Encyclopedia.
Purple or Psyche skills - emotional stuff like Empathy, Volition, and Authority.
Red or Physical skills - the condition of your physical body. Endurance, Electrochemistry, and Pain Threshold live here.
Yellow or Motorics skills - how well you use your physical body. Things like Hand Eye Coordination, Perception, and Composure.
There are good descriptions of each skill in the game. At the beginning, you can choose from three predefined archetypes (Thinker, Sensitive, or Physical) or create your own by allocating 12 points between the four skill categories and picking one skill as your "signature."
What Is The Best Skill Build?
There isn't an "best" one! You can play the game equally successfully with any build, but different builds will feel very different to play, especially early in the game.
That said, I would recommend against doing a 3-3-3-3 build because it just won't be as fun. Most skills generally start to really show effects at around a 4, and failing skill checks is often funny and shouldn't lock you out of completing any checks except if you've done something really unusual.
Basically the "best" build for you is whatever is the most fun - pick something that speaks to you and go for it.
In general, Intellect builds will get a lot of worldbuilding and lore and be really good at detecting. Psyche builds will have a better sense of other people and the world and strong intuition. Physical builds tend to be able to punch their way through obstacles but aren't very smart or empathetic and struggle with following their gut instincts/cravings without thinking about it. Motorics builds will find several early-game skill checks a lot easier for them and will be good at skills like shooting, picking locks, noticing stuff, keeping cool under pressure, and talking about cars.
Some key things to consider when deciding on your character build:
Encyclopedia is the skill that gives you lore and worldbuilding information.
If you want to min-max your build to get as many skill points as possible, make sure you have good Conceptualization so you can unlock the thought Actual Art Degree.
Esprit de Corps is similar to Empathy, but it works specifically on other cops. Doing a run with high EDC helps unlock a ton of lore about many of the other key characters in the game.
Electrochemistry will try to get you to drink, smoke, have sex, and take drugs. It will also give you insights into the drinking/smoking/drugging/sex habits of others. VERY high EC will allow you to unlock a leopard-print unitard underwear option for your player character.
You have two health pools, Health and Morale. Health is affected by the Endurance skill and Morale is affected by the Volition skill. If you start a game with only 1 point in either purple or red skills, that can mean you die very easily early in the game. My first playthrough I did a high INT build and I died in the first room of the game from turning on the lights even though I had a terrible hangover. So just be aware.
Shivers is my favorite skill in the game and I'm not alone there. Shivers allows you to have a connection to your city. A lot of the best moments in the game come during Shivers checks and the writing is generally really evocative. Great for atmosphere.
My favorite skills are Esprit de Corps for character knowledge, Shivers for cool atmosphere, and Drama because Drama is just really funny.
What Else Do I Need To Know?
If you seem stuck, go somewhere else and talk to more people OR spend a skill point to level up a skill.
You can zoom in and out. My first playthrough I didn't realize this for a while and kept missing certain characters who were standing somewhere I needed to be zoomed out to see.
A lot of things that are usually part of game menus have to be unlocked. You get a map by buying it at the bookstore. You get your stats and to-do list by finding your police ledger.
Cuno seems horrible but if you gain his trust there's a lot of depth to his character. There is also a potential ending where Cuno acts as your partner during the endgame.
Do the sidequests. They are often the best stories in the game.
Don't be TOO afraid of disappointing Kim. If you avoid being racist/sexist/hurting people, he will usually come around.
That said, if you play as a terrible person he won't be your friend anymore. I don't know how people can take the emotional trauma of that, but some people do!
Save frequently, Just In Case.
Don't be too hasty to reset. Let things play out. Most of the deaths are pretty funny and sometimes you might think you died but really you didn't.
That said, it's fine to reload a save if you messed something up. It's a single player game, it isn't "cheating" to do this if you want to.
If you fail the red check at the church it is extra double okay to reload a save and make that not have happened. (This is probably one of the two highest-stakes skill checks in the game because if you succeed you get one of the best scenes in the game and if you fail you get one of the worst.)
Look at everything and talk to everyone.
I like to keep at least one unused skill point at all times in case I need to unlock a skill check I've failed once.
If you arrest someone or send the body to Processing, Kim will be gone for the rest of the day. There are some things you can only do with him and some you can only do without him, so plan accordingly.
Hope this helps and always feel free to ask if you want more help/get stuck/need hints/just want to scream about the game with me!!

Any Other Way
Tumblr media
Over the years I’ve done a few Uber/Lyft drives that perplexed me. That is to say, I wasn’t entirely sure what had just happened.
Perhaps the most head scratching instance of this was a few years ago during the wee hours of the morning. It was December and I was heading back from dropping a university student off at Chicago O’Hare Airport, presumably to fly home for Christmas break. After I’d gotten far enough away from the Northwest corner of Indiana, or what they call “The Region,” I turned my Uber and Lyft apps back on to accept ride requests. I didn’t really feel like dealing with Chicago ahead of the morning rush hour, and there’s always a decent chance that any pick up you do within an hour of Chicagoland will take you back to the city.
The drive to O’Hare from the university takes about 2 and a half hours one way. I was about an hour back down South when my app alerted me that there was a ride request. I would have to turn around and go back roughly 15 minutes in the other direction, but I was going to make $30, so it was worth it. I accepted the ride and began looking for the next spot to turn around. After a minute or two, a phone call came through the app. Drivers and passengers can call or message each other this way to ask for or provide necessary details, as well as for any other number of reasons.
I answered, and the man on the other end of the phone met me with a request. He wanted to know if I would just follow him. He said no questions asked and he would give me $100 when we got where we were going. $100 top of what I was already going to make. The request wasn’t computing, and I wasn’t sure I grasped what he was asking. It didn’t make sense to me that someone would call an Uber or Lyft and then not get in my car. Worried that I wasn’t processing it properly, I sought clarification by asking, “So you aren’t going to get in my car at all?” At this point he became a little agitated and restated all of it in a very stern voice. He repeated that he just wanted me to follow him and that he would give me an extra $100, no questions asked. I said okay and we hung up.
In the ten minutes or so that it took me to get to him, I didn’t think much about what the reason behind his request might be. Instead, I tried to decide if I was doing anything wrong or breaking any rules by doing a drive without anyone getting in my car. Eventually I reasoned that it was the person calling the Uber or Lyft’s prerogative, and that what they were paying me for was to drive a specific route. I wasn’t transporting anything illegal or going anywhere illegal, so I couldn’t convince myself that I was doing anything wrong.
As I got within a mile or two of the exit, the man called again and asked if I was there yet. I informed him I was getting close, and he told me that when I got off the ramp there would be a hotel and to wait for him near the front of it. He said once I arrived, he would come around from the back side of the building and I could follow him out. Perhaps it was the surreal nature of the moment or the time of day and year, but when I pulled up to the hotel it felt dark and vacant. To be honest, I can’t even remember if there were other cars in the parking lot. After a few moments, he appeared, and I began following him back up the highway as he instructed. We drove for roughly ten miles or so before he pulled off onto an exit. We drove several more miles through a rural area until we ended up on the edge of a small town. He then pulled into a driveway, walked down to my car and with a warm thank you handed me a one-hundred-dollar bill. I left and that was the end of it.
As I resumed my journey home, I started considering what had just happened. Before you continue reading, I invite you to try and formulate your own opinion. I say that because I would like to hear what other people think without being influenced by my own thoughts on the matter.
Done? Okay. Don’t forget to let me know what you think after you finish reading this.
My initial thought was that he wanted his wife or girlfriend to think he was somewhere other than he was. For instance, let’s say he was from out of town or had moved away, and the house I followed him to was an old friend or family member. Perhaps he was staying at the hotel, but said he was going to visit them at the house I followed him to. Maybe he said he was going to take an Uber or Lyft because they’d be drinking, and he didn’t want to be driving back to the hotel. By having me follow him, he’d have a digital paper trail that he took an Uber to his friend or family member’s house, but unbeknownst to whoever, his vehicle was with him. This way he could really go see or do whoever or whatever he wanted without it seeming like a possibility.
One of the first people I relayed that story to offered me a much simpler and more likely possibility. The man had been drinking or was in possession of something illegal and wanted a buffer from the police. I was that buffer. By putting me behind him, he was making it less likely that he would get noticed or pulled over. That makes way more sense to me than what I had concocted. (Hey. I said in a previous blog that brain is unnecessarily busy.) Whatever the man’s reasoning, it was worth over $130 dollars to him for a very short drive.
I’ve done a few rides where after the fact it felt like I was involved in something sketchy. Never anything to where it was so obvious that I felt even close to being compelled to notify anyone, but just enough that something wasn’t adding up. I’ll revisit these stories on occasion and look forward to hearing your thoughts on them.

This is my 🌸bloomer🌸 Nagito, in an ideal world (bc. to be honest my more realistic headcanon for post NWP Nagito isn’t nearly as nice and kind 😞) but this is what I think the boy deserves
I don’t know if I’ll draw my actual post NWP Nagito (at least anytime soon I have like 10 W.I.P’s) but some things I head cannon:
>nagito’s luck would not let him get off that easily (letting him die ,that is) , his cancer would probably still go into remission but I think his dementia would stay the same and continue to progress bc. It’s an easy long term bad luck that’s not necessarily fatal.
>i reject wholly and completely that izuru has luck, it’s by far one of the stupidest things that DR ever pulled (I mean, yeah nagitos talent itself is ridiculous but you’re telling me that they surgically implanted … luck..?) anyways- bc. of this, Nagito’s luck still works the same. If he gets close to any of his classmates, either horrible shit will happen or they will just die. So…. No friends for him :(
>he likely wouldn’t feel much, if any, remorse for the things he did except for try to kill them all. He’d probably also regret not having been there for the “finale” each time. His classmates would try to give him a second chance and warm welcoming but after repeated unintentional insensitive comments, badly timed jokes, and twisted rants they’d just give up. (Aside of hajime who canonically refuses to give up on nagito, not that it would do much since nagito won’t let him in) The rest of them would recover and heal and he’d remain stagnant bc his luck doesn’t facilitate growth.
>the isolation would probs make him even more kooky than before and he’d lose what little social skills and empathy he had in the first place. With what little we saw from his perspective in the final dead room- the guy would likely end up just babbling to himself all the time and laughing (which would honestly be horrifying to see) on the bright side I do think the alone time would mean he would start picking up a lot of hobbies (though I’m not 100 they’d all be… okay hobbies to have)
>eventually he’d probably have to be monitored 24/7 bc. he’s self destructive and also has a disease that gradually will make him forget to maintain his body
It’s sad, I don’t like this head canon. It’s very depressing but I’m not gonna try to lie to myself and pretend like canon nagito would ever get a happy ending. I think his backstory is a good enough predictor of the rest of his life. He can get what he wants but never what he needs (safety, love, stability, some GOD DAMN PEACE AND QUIET)

"I've always dreamed, that my life could be like a fairy tale, a perfect fantasy. But it was nothing more than a dream." _____________________________________________
She didn't have dreams anymore. Dreams disappointed her time and time again, reminding her that no matter how hard she worked, it didn't matter.
No matter how hard she loved, it wasn't enough. No matter how kind and caring she was, it wouldn't get her her Happily Ever After.
Stripped from her home, her chance at a happy ending, and thrown onto a ship like forgotten cargo; she had no choice but to learn to live away from a life she'd always known. Away from her friends and the prince who wanted to marry her, only to be put under a spell by her wicked stepmother. The prince never came for her. He never woke up from that magic spell, believing that it was her stepsister he danced with that night. Her dreams died on that ship, and years later, her light flickered like a candle wick far too burned out. The villain had won and successfully broke her.
Yet, through the pain and bitterness, there was one entity who still believed in her.
He often stood at the foot of her bed, willing her to stand up and fight for what she believed in. Like the way he believed in her; in this impossible love that he trusted was still inside of her.
Each night, she begged him to leave her alone, pulling the sheets up to her shoulders to hide her face, to hide her anguish whenever she thought she was alone.
She was tired. So very tired.
Her lips parted, a breath escaping her when she felt his presence materialize like an apparition standing before her; a twisted version of the night her Fairy Godmother came to her. But he wasn't an apparition at all nor was he the woman who aided her long ago. No. Not at all like the ghosts that thrived in her head.
♬ ♪ "I'm the one with the ghosts in my bed But they only come alive at night Stuck in my sheets, an accustomed coffin..." ♬ ♪
It was strange, still having the marrow to sing the words that bled from her heart. She thought the music in her soul had dried up, and the melody disappeared, yet she found the words pouring out of her like a mantra she was begging for this apparition to understand. Simply speaking wasn't enough, so the melody carried into a saddened ballad. She didn't look at him, but she could feel his presence. A darkness she wished would swallow her up, snuffing out the little light she had left.
But why didn't he?

She tried to encourage him to leave by suggesting that she would be fine in the morning. When the sun rose, she would smile, do her duties for her new master, and pretend like she wasn't dying inside. It was the same repeated task every single day, helping with the numbness inside of her, helping her to forget.
She knew the truth though, and she knew that this apparition knew it too. These words, she didn't sing from her lips, but from her heart instead.
If I change, I start to fade And all the blue in my eyes desaturate It's my head not my heart that's strayed I'm sorry I keep pushing you away
Deep down. Somewhere in the light still inside her, she wanted to believe. She wanted to follow the apparition's lead and trust him. Indeed, it was her head that had strayed and not her heart. Perhaps a part of her wanted him to prove that he wasn't going to abandon her. She didn't want to push him away, but that was the product of her sadness, whispering to her of her failures.
Lifting her head, she turned to look at him. Drinking in those yellow hues staring back at her, it was strange to think that those eyes didn't frighten her anymore. Not after the many nights he stubbornly came back to her, hoping to ease his way into her heart time and time again.

Hiii, so sorry for responding so late and thank you so much for answering my question and your kind words! I really appreciate it. I am THE anon. The title THE anon sounds pretty important 👑, I'm not sure I want to change it , but first letter of my name and my favorite color are: A🟠.
And you're right! we haven't met in person/ messaged each other before, but I feel comfortable writing you^^.
I really enjoyed reading all the parts, I think in your case it's a very nice thing, because let's say, even if he's not physically with you, he's there for you. In my case, I'll explain a little bit more 3 years ago was my first dream with him, I feel like I know his face but at the same time he's someone I haven't met. I think he is really just a person, but from what little I know he is a protective person (especially towards me). So, in the dream with boy 1 and boy 2, in real life I liked boy 2, then in my dream boy 1 and boy 2 appeared, I feel it was a way to tell me that boy 2 was not the right person, even though in my dream I chose boy 2 in reality it didn't feel right, and I felt I should go back to boy 1. After that dream, I really stopped liking boy 2, he was a fuckboy and even though there was no way we were going to date because we didn't live in the same place, for many reasons it wasn't healthy to like him.
Let's just say that the way I see love (ride or die kind of love), it is not safe to love just anyone, so I feel that he has been protecting my way of seeing love from changing.
In the following dreams, for some reason, we don't know that we love each other, so there are always misunderstandings, in the end we end up confessing to each other and dating, I always feel strangely happy and in love, having that feeling that this is really the person I want to spend my whole life with. When I am sad I can feel a body reaching out to hug him and I can see his smile in my thoughts.
My family situation is complicated, to the point that on Saturday I was crying a lot and I really couldn't stop (I went to a park to try to calm down) so the first thing that came to my mind was "If you call him he will come for you" and I really wanted to do it, but I repeat, I am sure he is someone I have not met yet, so I started to cry even harder because something inside me told me that if I knew him, in a situation like this he would come for me. Even if the connection is not as strong as yours, I always manage to get answers for example: on Saturday I was asking questions in my head of "If my fs was here would he come for me?" Or "Does he even going to love me?" And the wind was starting to blow really hard, but in a warm way... (If that makes sense).
In my case, I'm a little freaked out that my fs is not the person I imagined and that I'm just idealizing him.
Now that was a lot of blah blah blah on my part. Back to the club, maybe it would be best to avoid not getting 100% drunk and the ONS situation, in case you can't avoid your fate and end up in a club, at least it would be nice if it was in a club but not in an awkward situation. I would offer to be your club friend, but my financial situation is meh. 😅
However, I won't forget the hint because my memory is good, anyway, random update from your FS!? He's trying to say you are taken and you don't even know each other yet, it's really cheeky and I was thinking of flirting with you 😔 (not true, but im in love with your answers 😁).
Truly from the bottom of my heart I wish you lots of happiness, health and everything nice Freya! <33
Thank you for your sweet answers. I'm sorry because now I was the one who made it too long. >.<
Hihi!! It's no problem at all, thank you for taking the time to respond <3 You and everyone else within this small little community are super important to me, so I'm glad that title helped you to feel that way, A! Orange is such a nice colour, warm and comforting. It makes me think of Autumn/Fall! I'm glad you also feel the same and that I'm not just losing my mind LMAO I'm glad you enjoyed reading all the parts, it was fun to discuss and talk about! I largely stick to tarot and tended to avoid talking about personal experiences + dreams, so this is a nice change of pace! Sometimes I wish he'd leave me alone, he teases me so much for everything, too. Sosososo annoying !! Anyways, that feeling of familiarity is something I got with my FS, even though I couldn't see his face, I still felt this weird sense of comfort and familiarity with him. Aww, protective guys are cute (as long as they're not toxic, possessive, hurting you, etc). Honestly, in this case, I'd say follow your heart but take your head with you. If you feel like boy 2 would be the wrong choice, then that's the right answer. As long as you're happy, that's all the matters !! That's a very interesting way to view love. I don't really know what actual love feels like, how I'm supposed to view it or how I actually view it, as sad as that may sound. If I'd have to guess, I'd say it's the feeling of missing someone no matter how much time you spend with them, always wanting them near you, your heart fluttering and stomach aching from laughter after a small conversation with them about the little things. It's really sweet how you can see/feel that, it makes the connection feel more special! I'm really sorry to hear about things at home, I hope you're feeling better at the moment. It's okay to cry and let it out, alright? Even though you haven't met him, the connection is still so strong and I think that's absolutely beautiful. The wind situation is quite funny, I got that this morning when getting the bus, too!! I asked him questions with yes or no's, the wind was already strong due to a storm hitting the UK, but when he responded, the wind felt warmer instead of freezing cold. My connection with him isn't as strong as you'd think, really. It's mainly me telling him to leave, to stop whining to me like a kid, to stop clinging to me. He's currently a bit... mad at me, to say the least. This morning after the wind situation, I was telling him to stop making me feel so delusional, that he isn't real, that this is just my imagination, etc. He's been pouting all day, still clinging to me and hugging me but whenever I say something to him he goes "Well, why should I respond when you clearly don't think I'm your future husband, hmph!" What a whiny kid.. sigh. Worst part is that he's older than me by more than 5 years. I don't think you're idealizing him, I feel like he is your FS tbh but I can't be 100% certain since the future, your choices, etc can impact certain things. If his energy pops up again, I recommend don't doing what I did, or else he might become a whiny piece of shit. Oh, I'm absolutely gonna avoid drinking too much at clubs. Sticking to just plain beer and maybe cider or whisky if we're feeling a little wild. No vodka and absolutely no gin! If it's meant to be and fated, the universe will fix that situation and help us meet together. I'll leave it to divine timing, but I would love to go clubbing with you <3 Trust me, little bastard is very cheeky. His fuckboy reputation really shows in these sorts of situations! We don't even know each otherrr, why is he ruining my chances of dating other people??? BAHAHA, thank youu! Same goes to you, I really appreciate it!! We'll work hard and make our dreams come true, we can do this! I may post some stuff relating to business/financial advice + tips, nothing related to my own business, though! It's no problem at all, this wasn't long and it was fun to read! I hope to speak to you again soon <3

Kim SeonHo for ELLE MEN Singapore Issue 05 2023 - Full Interview
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kim Seon Ho Keeps Going On
Farisia Thang
The beloved South Korean actor is back and taking things one day at a time — starting with his debut as a villain.
Tumblr media
Every movie needs a good villain — but that's a role that not just anyone can pull it off. Especially when the cards are not stacked in your favour. Kim Seon Ho knows this well.
Having always played heroic roles (Hong Du Sik, literally the neighbourhood hero in Hometown Cha Cha Cha or charming second leads who win over the audience's affection, Han Ji Pyeong in Start-Up and Jung Jae Yoon in 100 Days My Prince), there was a certain image that became expected of the South Korean actor. Before taking on the Nobleman in The Childe, it would have been irreconcilable to picture him as a villain, much less an antagonist. Not because there was any doubt in his acting skills, but because it never would have occurred to the masses to cast a man who has been given the endearing nickname "good boy" to play a Machiavellian assassin. Even the director of The Childe Park Hoon Jung didn't see the fit when he first looked at the actor's profile as he thought, "This face is not for noir."
But Kim has always been one to rise to the challenge. Let us not forget that before he was a TV actor, he was a familiar face in the theatre industry. And though it was only at 31-years-old that he debuted in his first TV drama, his so-called big break came three years later with shows like Start-Up and Hometown Cha Cha Cha. This is the way things go: Just when you think he has reached the height of his career, he keeps proving otherwise.
And that is exactly what he's done in The Childe.
Tumblr media
Even if it wasn't a comeback role from his two-year hiatus, it still stands as an impressive film debut on its own. This marks Kim's first big screen role and for that reason alone, the Nobleman remains one of his favourite characters. "All of the characters I've played are special to me and I cherish them all, but a memorable character would be my most recent role in The Childe as Nobleman since it was my film debut," says Kim. "I still vividly remember the excitement and nerves I felt seeing my character on the big screen for the first time."
As it is with most of his roles, he runs through a routine. "I usually take a fairly long time to understand one character. I would choose about three or four lines that I like from a script, and then repeat them over and over again in my head. This could be when I'm walking, when I'm in the shower, or when I'm eating." Kim adds, "Sometimes I also make use of music. would put on some good music, put myself in front of a stunning view, and then read out the lines. And as I do that, there would be moments where I realise, 'This is it. This is how this character would say it. From that point onwards, everything else falls into place itself. For this method to work and in order to get closer to a character, studying the script in detail has to come first. It's important to have a good grasp of a character's language and habits.
With the Nobleman, details maketh man. He says, "I developed my character by studying the lead character from A Clockwork Orange, and I spent plenty of time trying to understand my character as Nobleman." Just like he had done many times before, Kim learned new skills to better embody his character. "I got to learn about using handguns for acting for the first time. I did some practice at a shooting range in Myeongdong and I was given a dummy too, so I was able to practice and have a feel of it. That helped me a lot during the actual filming."
Tumblr media
To simply call the Nobleman a villain would reduce the character to a flat trope, but Kim's performance and interpretation of him are actually for more nuanced. This is a character who gets imitated by his shoes being dirtied with blood after killing a room full of people, curses with a sadistic smile in an American accent and British accent, chases after the hero while hollering — and yet manages to confuse the audience with whose side he is actually on. Ultimately, Kim's portrayal of the Nobleman brings to life a brutal yet whimsical anti-hero.
And yet, the actor still struggles to pinpoint a moment during The Childe's filming process that he felt proud of himself for. In past interviews, he scrutinised his performance for the movie. Even now, he laughs as he says, "To be honest, it's hard for me to point out areas that I did well in. In my eyes, I mostly see only my shortcomings. Thankfully enough, people who went to see the movie had lots of positive feedback. I was glad and thankful to be praised as a fluid actor."
Fluid is the perfect word here, and yet it still feels like an understatement to the actor's performance. If his previous roles solidified his expected trajectory as an actor, then this character turned it all around - reminding us all that Kim has been honing his craft for over a decade now. He has been finessing this duality for almost 14 years, and while others may rest on their laurels and rely on their experience in the industry to get by, Kim is always looking for ways to better himself.
Tumblr media
His recent projects have been movies and because of that "I'm not as pressured having to film a large amount of scenes in a short time as compared to other mediums. The directors told me to take my time between lines, which showed me the art of slowing down." He goes on to say, "When I was younger, I was also taught to enjoy the pauses between each line. I did think that I was already doing so with my acting for dramas, but the mechanics of movies and dramas are still very much different. So I've recently been working on how I can savour those pauses even more." Looking back at the Kim Seon Ho who started acting 14 years ago, the 37-year-old feels envious of his past self. "I'm envious of the experience and how raw my acting was back then. I recently rewatched some of my previous work. In the past, if I were to rewatch something a year later, all I could think about was how inadequate my acting was before. But seeing it again after 10 years makes me realise that that kind of raw acting was something I could do only back then."
Tumblr media
Now, what he is able to appreciate about his approach to acting is. that "I'm a lot more composed and poised. My acting was often carried away by emotions in the past, but I think that my acting now has become more rational. I feel that this kind of rationality is also what makes me grow. After all, Kim knows a thing or two about alchemising patience into gold. While he started acting in plays at the age of 23, it was only eight years later that he made his debut on the small screens. But he has never been one to measure his trajectory against his counterparts in the industry. Waiting has always been a welcomed ritual for the actor, and Kim knows it's to that good things take time.
It's like his Hometown Cha Cha Cha character Hong Du Sik said, "Life isn't so fair for all of us. Some spend their whole lives on unpaved roads, while some run at full speed only to reach the edge of a cliff." It's a line that hits close to home for Kim too. "Coincidentally enough, I happened to re-watch that scene just three days before this interview, I searched for the scene randomly one day because I suddenly got curious about the kind of expression and tone I shot that scene with. Through that scene, rather than discovering elements about myself, I focused more on how I could get closer to Chief Hong. But there were moments where I did feel that I was becoming a better version of myself, like when I was preparing for the drama, after wrapping up the filming, and when I met other great characters." He adds, "People say that each word you say and each action you do creates one's character and personality. I think I got to learn a lot through the lines of my past characters like Han Ji Pyeong and Chief Hong, and thanks to them, I am the person I am now."
Tumblr media
During his two-year break from acting on-screen, he remained loyal to his earlier comforts — stage acting. While he stayed off social media and film projects, he went back to his roots and performed in the theatre with Touching the Void. In that period of time, "I found comfort in the fact that one has the ability to create a change if they could just think a little differently in times of trouble." He continues, "I felt grateful to be able to share a stage with other talented actors, and I had fun. Touching The Void was a project where I discovered that the results of something can be very different depending on my perspective on a particular situation and on the support I receive. Most of all, I was moved and comforted by the audience members who came to watch the play even though things were difficult due to the pandemic. I was honoured to be able to perform such a remarkable piece of work for the audience, and it inspired me to become an even better actor."
In life and in work, Kim believes himself to be a dreamer. "I am someone who thinks that we must dream big, and I'm happiest when I come close to the goals I've set. Rather than setting a realistic goal but still feeling unsatisfied even after accomplishing it, I find more joy when I set big goals and accomplish it to a certain extent. When he considers his dreams for the distant future, "My goal is for people to remember me as a skilled actor and to be an actor that people want to work with a second time." But for now, his ambitions are straightforward — "I want to try a role that feels real and warm, one that others can relate to."
Tumblr media
When he looks back at his career, there is only one thing he can really say he's proud of over the years. "Instead of feeling proud of my own accomplishments, I feel a stronger sense of pride towards the people that have been there for me since the days before I became an actor. Seniors, juniors and directors who gave me advice so I could pass the audition for my first project, agency colleagues who worked tirelessly until I got my first lead role, and my fans who supported my career as an actor. These are people that I'm thankful for and proud of every moment." He continues, "I often have thoughts like, 'How was I able to meet such incredible people?', 'How did I get so lucky to receive such advice from my seniors at this timing?', 'How is it that all these great people. are rooting for me?' Thanks to these people, there have been so many moments in my career that have made me proud that I cannot single out a specific achievement."
His gratitude grounds him because if there's one thing Kim has leamed, it's to take nothing for granted. With the love he's received from fans and friends in the industry, he hopes to return it tenfold. "I hope to repay the love with my acting and to successfully wrap up current projects. By doing so, I think I would be able to welcome 2024 with a happy heart." What that looks like these days is a running list of plays, dramas, and films. And while he's busy with his ongoing projects, for now, "I will be focusing on the upcoming mystery drama Mangnaein. Although I don't know what the future has in store for me, I will work hard to live my best each day."
Tumblr media
When he thinks about the actor he wants to be remembered for, he considers the weight of his answer. "Not too long ago, I felt that I was on a plateau so I reflected a lot on it and I'm getting back on my feet again now." He goes on to say, "I hope to be remembered as an actor who constantly improves. (Of course, for that to happen, a lot of effort is needed on my part.) And I hope people think of me as an actor who is always growing, and as an actor who has the potential for even more growth. I hope to refine my craft a little more."
Because at the end of the day, Kim Seon Ho knows when to walk away from comparison. He's never bothered to measure himself to others, and he has no plans to start now. Instead, he holds himself to his own standards. And the version of him today is content to take things as they come, to better himself with every passing day. After all, if there's one thing we know for certain, it's that whatever accomplishments he's made so far are only a step to greater things to come.

So,
I wanted to double my number.
I was just finishing up my second year of creative writing at UVic in 2009 when I decided to go to Thailand. I was sexually frustrated because the object of my Olympic-sized lust was not interested, which made me feel like I was on the fritz. Most of the students in my classes were younger than me, and didn’t know how to party properly. According to The Beach by Alex Garland, Thailand was going to be the solution to my problems. I’d been meticulously counting the number of women I’d fucked — 13 — and I figured three months would give me enough time to hit 26.
By this point I was a human bowling ball. I didn’t give a shit what anybody thought of me, mostly because I was convinced I was destined for greatness. I’d become a sort of Tucker Max, hard-drinking and risk-taking. I liked to skinny dip stoned in the Pacific Ocean late at night with naked women, and the ones who were game let me take their pictures nude. I had an archive on my computer with 7 professional shoots, 5 of them including 100% nudes. This was my most prized possession.
Shortly before I left, a guy named Brandon D. who was in one of my creative writing classes took me aside. He’d been to Thailand recently, and he wanted to make sure I could Leo Dicaprio it properly.
“Listen, dude. This may seem like weird advice. But when you get to Thailand, you should fuck a hooker.”
I blanched. “No way. I’m not the kind of person who hits prostitutes.”
“I know, man. I know. That’s how I felt too. But you’re all backed up over Fritz and you need to just fuck your way out of it. The hookers there are super game. It’s not like in Canada.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean in Thailand, you’re the prey and they’re the predators. They’re basically begging to drag your clothes off.”
I thought this was a ridiculous suggestion, and paying for sex was beneath me. It was more fun to fuck a willing and giggling traveller girl looking to have a Las Vegas style adventure where you forget about it afterwards. Also, I’d never really been that into Asian chicks. I’d been with a few and I found that they had a particular, barely discernible smell. So that if you licked the back of a girl’s hand and took a whiff, you could tell they were Asian.
When I first landed in Bangkok there were riots going on. I connected with a dude from Holland to share a hostel, and the first night we went out for drinks. On the way he launched into a story about a Thai girl he’d connected with the last time around who had ended up being crazy. She had Internet stalked him and turned into a total nightmare, so he hadn’t talked to her in six months.
“Man, the sex, though? The sex was so good. She could put her feet all the way behind her head.”
I nodded appreciatively. “I’ve had a few like that.”
“She’s so crazy. So crazy. But still I think maybe I want to call her, you know?”
The Holland dude’s fortitude slowly slipped as we downed drink after drink, and finally he relented — he was going to call his girl, who had a one-letter first name (A) and get her to bring out some friends. Maybe I could meet somebody. It was around this time that my consciousness started to blur, so that I was fading in and out of the action. We headed down to Koh Sang Road and ordered “buckets”, little neon pails filled with Red Bull, Coke, and rum.
“What is your name?” I asked one shy little Thai chick. She was gorgeous.
She asked her friends what I was saying, then replied: “B”.
I couldn’t believe it. One of these girls was named A and the other was named B? They had to be fucking with me. I demanded to see her driver’s license and she held it out to my amazement. I asked her friends how to say “you’re beautiful” and then I repeated it to her multiple times while she blushed. She looked like she weighed about 80 pounds.
The next time I materialized, I was unconscious on a night club couch and the Holland dude was dancing with A nearby. I felt like maybe I would puke, but the humidity actually seemed to help me stay level. I staggered out into the street and my new friend followed me, hoping to make sure I got back to the hostel safe. Seeing that I could barely walk, he hailed a cab and told them the address. He was going to A’s house, and he’d see me in the morning.
At the last moment, just as the cab was about to pull away, the door yanked open and B slipped in beside me.
“Sawaddy Cup,” I murmured.
She just smiled.
When we got to the hostel, she expertly used my key card to get in the front door and snuck us past the owner’s office to the third-floor room. She turned on the air conditioning, put her purse in the corner, then took me by the hand into the bathroom. There she carefully took off my clothes like a nurse, then pushed me under the hot shower. She began to scrub me down with soap, paying special attention to my bobbing cock.
Afterwards, when she led me back into the room, she peeled off her clothes and presented herself to me like a meal. I spent the next three hours hungrily devouring her in every way I could. She wasn’t like white girls. She was a goddamn professional. I had never been fucked in that way before, not even close. She was deadly quiet, ultra-efficient, and had a skill set I could only marvel at. How the fuck did I get so lucky? The next morning, at breakfast, I hungrily scarfed down some Pad Thai while the Holland guy happily recounted his successful evening. B sat calmly and quietly with us, and we bought her a meal. She couldn’t participate in our conversation because I don’t think she spoke a word of English.
“Is it kind of weird that she’s hanging around?” I asked Holland guy. “Like I don’t mean to be rude, but like what do you think she’s waiting for?”
He almost choked on his food. Then he smiled devilishly.
“She’s waiting for you to pay her.”

PART I | MASTERLIST | TAGLIST
Tumblr media
✗ OIKAWA Toru
You stuck your head into the living room, “Toru...”. Your petty husband turns up the volume of the TV as soon as he hears your voice. you knew Oikawa could be so petty after arguments, but its not like to him give you the cold shoulder for this long. you pout as your round the corner, standing in front of him as he avert your eyes, keeping his glued to the dancing screen in front. “Toru, baby, ‘m sorry...” he scoffs, “you didn’t seem so sorry when you called me an overdramatic man child four hours and thirteen minutes ago.”
you fight the smile on your lips, of course your husband had been carefully counting how long to give you the cold shoulder for. “is there anything I can do for you to forgive me?” “nothing.” he replies, not missing a beat. you grin, “oh really? nothing?” you taunt him as your fingers trail closer to the hem of your tank top, in one swift motion, pulling it upwards, revealing to him everything. “nothing,” he repeats, this time a lot quieter, all traces of defiance gone. “fine, maybe this will help me to forgive you” he says, pulling you in before muttering a “I hate how I'm so weak for you.”
✗ SUNA Rintaro
The room felt icy cold as you and Suna glare at each other. Both of you angry at the words that left each other’s mouth. What had started the argument, him forgetting to turn off the AC and you pestering him about it, quickly escalated into personal attacks. “if you could just shut up for one minute, please y/n, I can’t hear myself think over your annoying screaming.” “Rin, this isn’t screaming, this is communication.” “please, let’s just...you go to the room and I'll stay here and we’ll both cool off for a bit okay?” “fine.” you wasted no time in retreating to your shared bedroom. an hour later, the bed was starting to feel empty without the usual weight of your husband and on the other side of the house, Suna was starting to feel your absence without your usual music blasting in the kitchen.
“Rin?” you peeked into the kitchen and he looks up, about to apologize when you beat him to it. “I'm sorry Rin, I didn’t mean to pester you.” He grabs your hand, covering it up with his much bigger ones, “I’m sorry too, princess. I didn’t mean what I said. You could never annoy me.” You pull your hand back, watching his face of confusion turn into a little smirk as you lift your shirt over your head. “Oh? What’s this for?” “Just to make sure I’m 100% forgiven.” Suna laughs before walking towards you, “oh yeah, you’re 150% forgiven. Now my turn to earn your forgiveness.”
✗ SAKUSA Kiyoomi
“darling, look at me when I'm talking to you please.” you shake your head stubbornly, looking everywhere but at your husband. Sakusa sighs, it was the fourth time this week he’s caught you leaving the light on in the kitchen. “just...turn off the kitchen light please, you know how much this contributes to the electric bill? do I look like I'm made out of money to you?” you crack a tiny smile, which only led him to think you’re not taking him seriously.
“y/n, look at me,” he says, “please”, he adds. finally you do. you hate it when you argue with Sakusa, even if you are in the wrong. “don’t be mad at me.” Sakusa sighs again, “I’m not mad, I'm just asking you to try and remember.” he looks away, thinking of some idea, “what about sticking a post-it note on the switch, that way you’ll never for- what are you doing?” your smile tells him all that he needs to no. “no, babe, please we’re having a conversa-” it was too late, you’re flashing him and Sakusa forgot all about his brilliant ideas to get you to stop leaving the kitchen light on. “you know what? whatever, leave the light on, I’ll just play harder, ask for a salary raise. now come here.”
✗ USHIJIMA Wakatoshi
“Toshi?” you speak up softly and your husband only grunts in reply. this afternoon, you’d accidentally broken one of his favorite mugs as you were trying to reach for the cereal on the top shelf. he’s mad, not so much because of his mug, more so because he’s told you a billion times to ask him to help reach for things. “you could’ve accidentally gotten hurt” he grumbled as he quickly cleaned up the glass shards.
“Toshi, please don’t be mad at me anymore. I'll call you for help next time, I promise.” Ushijima looks down at your pinky waiting for his to seal the promise. He’s not usually one to say no to you, but this has happend one too many times. you’ve gotten off each time, but what happens if you accidentally fall down and break a bone trying to reach for something? as he was lost in thought, he failed to notice the way your shirt starts riding higher and higher, until they’re completely off. he looks up and just stares. the longer he stares, the more embarrassed you feel and the more confused he is. “what are you doing?” “flashing you? thought it’d alleviate your anger. you don’t like it?” Ushijima heart skips a beat at the way you smiled shyly at him. “no, who said I didn’t like it? I love it.”
