Hiyaa,
I have a request?
Producer!Bang chan x reader
Established relationship
Angst/comfort
Bang chan is in a bad mood so when he's at the studio he shouts at a co-worker he's close to/ 3racha member.
The co-worker/3racha member leaves and bumps into reader (who was already on the way to the studio? Because they haven't spent time together in a while?) and like hints at chan's bad mood.
Reader enters studio and chan starts to get mad but like reader is like "can I sit on your lap?" and he's like ❔ and she's like "you can continue working, can I sit on your lap?" and he's like "... Yeah?". Then it's fluff fluff fluff because fluff is the best 💯💯🚫🧢. Like a lot of fluff.
Oh also can you work in the reader saying something along the lines of "I get your frustrated but can you please not speak to me like that?" 🥺
And like chan gets more at peace/ relaxed/ less frustrated and apologies to coworker/ member and yeah and they all live happily ever after
creative differences - bang chan
genre: angst, comfort, eventual fluff
pairings: idol/producer!bang chan x fem!reader
warnings: chan is snappy, use of profanity
notes: thank you so much for your request <3 i hope i did it justice. this may also be the longest fic i've posted on this account with a little over 4.3k words

since their debut, the company had already set expectations that the boys would have at least two comebacks a year–one in the first half of the year and another in the latter half. if they wanted to have more than two, they could, but two was the absolute least. the first comeback of this year for the boys went off without a hitch, resulting in topping multiple charts and receiving a handful of music show wins. however, the process for this second comeback of the year was already off to a rocky start, and the road ahead only looks winding and increasingly difficult.
the boys of 3racha have been in the studio every day for the past couple of weeks brainstorming and trying to put things together for the upcoming release. but they all seem to be hitting walls, or the ideas clash due to the amount of stress and pressures looming over their heads. so many people are counting on them–the members, producers, choreographers, and the jyp entertainment team, stay. and as the days in the studio pass, with the boys not agreeing on songs, arrangements, mixing, and more, the weight on their shoulders increases as well.
bang chan, the leader of stray kids and 3racha, felt the pressures even more so than changbin and han did.
currently, the three boys find themselves in chan's room inside the jyp entertainment building; chan is seated on the rolling chair in front of the multiple screens and mixing boards, while changbin and han are seated on either end of the couch. the three of them with their phones, laptops and notebooks opened up as they continue to brainstorm and discuss. but much like weeks prior, the progress isn't progressing, the progress is lacking or non-existent.
letting a deep sigh slip past his lips, han's eyebrows furrow in frustration as he scratches over old bullet points and writes new ones in his notebook, looking for ideas that could work. changbin is scrolling through his notes app and audio recording app, intermittently bringing the speakers at the bottom of his phone closer to his ear to hear the audio better as it's turned down to not disturb the other two, changbin tapping his fingers on his knee as he listens with his lip pursed in a tight line. chan is doing a mix of what the two are doing; writing and scratching out old and new ideas in his notebook, scrolling through his notes and audio recording apps to find something that they could work with, as well as filing through the production hardware on the system to find any drafts that could also be used to at the least, spark some inspiration.
at one point, chan feels like he's going to tug his hair out by the roots as he runs his fingers through his locks haphazardly. he's reaching the end of his patience; they've been working for weeks, and they can't even find a starting place for the comeback–he feels as if all the old material he finds in the apps aren't good enough, that they won't exceed the expectations or hype of the last comeback, that it won't even reach those expectations. it's frustrating chan to no end as he feels like he's reaching a dead end.
with a sigh, chan turns in his chair to discuss with han and changbin who are on the couch. when changbin notices this, he glances at han from the corner of his eye, surveys the atmosphere, and runs a frustrated hand through his hair.
"we need to figure something out," chan splutters out, his mind quite frantic, "we have to have some ideas–at least something?"
he looks between changbin and han on the couch, their faces look just as discontented and their minds are frantic but blank at the same time–mirroring chan's own face and mind. chan shuts his eyes in an attempt to calm down his bubbling emotions as he leans back into his chair.
"we could look through the demos again?" han throws a suggestion onto the table.
"which ones?" changbin questions.
han shrugs while at the same time he says, "all of them?"
"why would we look through demos we already vetoed?" chan scoffs, "that would be a complete waste of time."
"it's just a suggestion," han restates, this time his tone laced with hints of irritation, "maybe one of those vetoed demos could actually work; we just need to rework it."
"this isn't the first time we've gone through the demos in the past couple of weeks," chan reminds, "if one of those demos could actually work, we would've found it on the first or second round of looking."
"what demos are you thinking of specifically?" changbin asks han, who shrugs.
"i don't know, but what harm is there to look again?"
chan groans in agitation, not understanding why han is so adamant about looking through the demos again: "this would probably be the fourth time–why waste our time with a fifth? we want to make progress, looking for a fifth time is a complete waste of time."
the older boy's tone is sharp, prompting an eye roll from the youngest in the room, his arms going up in protest: " hey. it was just a suggestion–at least something to get the ball rolling." he reiterates chan's words from the beginning of the conversation.
"how is doing something that hasn't worked the past four times for a fifth going to work? if it didn't work a majority, if not, all the past times–it's not going to work," the tension in the room continues to build.
"wouldn't it be better to start from scratch instead of looking through ideas that we already decided weren't working?" changbin chimes in.
at this, han starts to feel like the two older boys are ganging up against him, and he defends himself quickly, "once again, it was just a suggestion. i don't see either of you suggesting anything."
changbin scoffs, "did I not just suggest starting from scratch instead of looking through rejected ideas?"
han turns his head to face changbin on the other end of the couch, "haven't we also been trying to start from scratch these past couple of weeks? that also hasn't been working–if it did, we wouldn't be having this conversation!"
"how are we supposed to start from scratch if we have no ideas?" chan asks in a matter-of-fact tone.
"if we look through the old demos, put some together or play around, then maybe we can find ideas," han speaks slowly as if he's trying to enunciate his point to drill it into the other two's heads, "it's better than sitting at our notebooks and laptops and writing down, absolutely nothing."
han's method of slowing down and enunciating seems to have gone through changbin's head as he begins to see han's point. if they can't conjure something up from nothing, they might as well try to conjure something up from their old demos or many recordings of melodies that have come to mind in the past. putting things together could trigger some inspiration.
"no, i think han has a point here," changbin states, "if we have no foundation or starting point, we can't build anything on top of it. at least with the old demos, we can continue to build off of what we have."
a deep breath expels from chan's lips as he listens to both han and changbin bounce words of agreement off each other for this working with old demos plan.
"again," chan says slowly, "if it didn't work the past four times, why would it work now? the odds are not in your favour."
"but there's still a chance it could work," han argues, "if there's a chance, why not take it?"
chan tongues at his cheek, "because we have a deadline. we can't keep grasping at straws that are obviously not working."
"starting from scratch and coming up with absolutely nothing is also not going to help us meet the deadline."
"so you want to create an album of demos we've rejected? you want to release a subpar album?" chan taunts.
"that's not what i'm saying," han shakes his head.
"that's what i'm hearing!"
"look, hyung," changbin steps in, "just listen to us for a second."
"i'm listening," chan snaps, "and i disagree. we have a standard to reach, one to exceed. i'll be damned if we release something below that."
"why the hell would we release something below standard?" changbin scoffs, running his hands through his hair and over his face in exasperation. letting his hands linger on his face as he leans forward, elbows on his knees.
the youngest in the room snaps at chan, "the fuck? is this you saying you lack faith in our producing skills? that we can't rework old demos to produce something that not only hits that standard but exceeds it?"
the sharp change in han's tone and volume alerts changbin, who realizes this conversation–well now it's an argument–is getting out of hand. chan and han are practically at each others throats and they're both too headstrong but stubborn at the same time, neither of them will back down. obviously, avoiding conversation wasn't going to get them anywhere, but at this point, where emotions are high, and egos are even higher, no meaningful or productive conversation regarding the album will be shared. changbin realizes he needs to jump into action to diffuse the situation before it becomes a screaming match between the two heated bandmates.
"i'm saying we have a standard, we have expectations to uphold," chan speaks slowly, his voice deeper as he's practically sneering at han, "one that the company has for us, stay, everyone."
han snarls back, eyes throwing daggers in chan's direction, "i know that. i know that damn fucking well. i'm out here trying to innovate some sort of progress toward this album, progress that we have been severely lacking for the past couple of weeks. other than rejecting our ideas, what the hell have you been doing?" he raises his chin at the older boy in a provoking manner.
"han–" changbin starts but is quickly cut off by chan.
"what the hell have i been doing?" chan spits out the question, han nods, "i've been making sure all our releases since debut continue to surpass these standards–this upcoming album is no different. don't come into my studio questioning what the fuck i've been doing."
"hyung–" changbin tries again to no avail.
"maybe you should leave," chan hisses, and changbin's eyes widen, darting between the two other boys in the studio with fires in their eyes, "and come back when you have suggestions that aren't going to waste my fucking time."
"look, guys. hannie, channie hyung–" changbin is cut off again when han rises to his feet, jaw clenched as he stares down chan in front of him, eyes narrowed.
"fine. i'll leave," he declares, "this is a waste of my time. i'll come back when you've got your head out of your fucking ass and you're open to listening to anyone other than yourself."
chan spins back around in his chair, eyes rolling back in anger as he clenches his fists on the table. behind him, han is quickly packing up his laptop and notebook as changbin gulps, wracking his brain to think of who to attend to right now. when han stomps to the studio door, swinging it open and stomping out into the hall of the company building. changbin is quick to follow after him, leaving everything but his phone, keys and wallet in his pocket the whole time as he follows after han, shutting the door behind them, leaving chan to his own thoughts alone. he chooses to follow the younger boy to try to calm him down and ensure he's safe wherever he plans to run off to.
meanwhile, you're a couple moments away from the elevator reaching the same floor the three boys are on. your hands clasped in front of you as you keep an eye on the digital sign that changes with each floor, rocking back and forth on your heels to pass the time. you haven't seen your boyfriend in quite a while due to your conflicting schedules, work and life getting in the way of a relationship, but you were grateful for those moments in between the chaos where it was just steady love and happiness. you learned to cherish those small moments instead of grovelling over how much time you can't spend with your boyfriend–obviously you get sad once in a while when you're away from him but choose not to dwell on it. thankfully, tonight is one of those nights where you can spend your time in the comfort of your boyfriend's presence. but he has no idea that you were even planning on coming to the company building, he has no idea of this little surprise you've organized.
when the elevator dings, stopping at your floor, you exit quickly but you make your way down the hallway slowly. your head moving from left to right as you read the numbers on each door, ensuring you landed on the correct floor and were going in the right direction. when you hear footsteps and your eyes dart to changbin and han walking down the hall in your direction, a wave of relief washes over you until you catch a glimpse of the concern on changbin's face and the anger on han's. they notice you walking towards them belatedly, almost running into you, but you catch their attention before any collision.
"hey guys," you greet softly, concern written on your features at the sight of the two boys. eyes looking between changbin whose eyes are drooped with worry and han, who you can feel the anger radiating off of, "what's going on?"
they both exchange small greetings with you. given han's current state, his greetings are shorter and more reserved. his mouth shut and jaw clenched again once he's greeted you.
"creative differences," changbin says to which han scoffs, rolling his eyes, "ok well, that's how it started, but long story short, we got into an argument, and hannie walked out."
"we?"
changbin nods, "yeah, hannie, chan hyung and i."
your lips purse in a tight line when the second name rolls off changbin's tongue: "if you don't mind, could you explain what happened?"
not wanting to get into too much detail as changbin doesn't want further rile up the already upset han, he gives you a quick run down of the main points of the argument between the 3racha boys–mainly chan and han. you keep your mouth shut the whole time and nod, listening intently to changbin explain while han stands with his arms crossed over his chest, a prominent pout on his lips and his eyebrows knit together.
"you're on your way to see, channie hyung?" changbin asks for clarification and you nod, "okay, obviously after what i told you, he's in a really bad mood right now so proceed with caution. angry chan is scary chan."
you thank changbin for letting you know what happened from their perspective, bidding short goodbyes to both the boys as han and changbin decide to make their way back to the dorms. han needs some time to unwind and collect his thoughts after the spat with chan. you continue to walk down the hall, turning a corner and finding the room number that felix sent you earlier–103.
you knock on the door softly but hear nothing from the inside; you knock once again and hear nothing. you sigh and decide to turn the knob, letting yourself in.
chan heard the knocks; the first one sparked his annoyance, and the second continued to heighten it. the sound of the door being opened caused him to bark at whoever decided to come in when, through his silence, he clearly didn't grant the permission to.
"what the hell?" he mutters to himself before he barks out, turning in his chair, "complete silence after knocking is not an invitation to come in, fuckin–"
when chan fully turns in his chair to face the direction of the door, the words get caught in his throat at the sight of you. he assumed it might have been changbin, han or a staff member, but seeing you standing there took him by complete shock. you shut the door behind you and give chan a small wave that he reciprocates hesitantly, still trying to let it sink in that you're actually in the room with him and that he isn't hallucinating due to how long it's been since the last time he's seen his girlfriend in person. you move to sit on the couch that was once occupied by the two other 3racha members; now, one side is occupied by changbin's laptop and notebook while you sit on the opposite end. chan turns his chair, following your every move.
when you sit down, take the pillow and place it on your lap, you smile up at chan again, "hi."
"hey baby," chan speaks slowly, "what are you doing here?"
you hum before answering, "well, we haven't been able to see each other in a while cos of our schedules but some time opened up for me today, so i wanted to pay you a surprise visit."
chan feels his heart warm at the gesture, but he's still quite irritated and agitated from the argument with han and changbin. the lack of progress for the upcoming album, along with the plethora of expectations looming over his head and his patience begins to dwindle again.
"that's nice, but i don't really have time for this right now," chan's tone is stern, his voice deep in warning, "i've got so much shit to do for this upcoming album, and nothing is fucking–"
"can I sit on your lap?" you ask, cutting chan off and causing him to furrow his eyebrows together in a mix of confusion and irritation–irritated that you had cut him off but confused about whether he had heard you right.
"what?" he deadpans, blinking at you.
"can I sit on your lap?" you repeat, and now he knows he definitely didn't hear things.
"did you not hear what i said?" chan holds back from snarling at you in frustration. "nothing is done for the album, and i don't have time to take a break."
you nod, hearing his words but adding, "you can continue working. i just want to sit on your lap while you do."
chan opens his mouth to refuse, but his eyes lock with yours–your shiny, beautiful eyes with a perfect array of colours decorating the irises, gazing up at him with a splash of hope in the depths of love in your eyes. that's when his mouth snaps shut again, probably looking like a fish when it opens again, but this time he says:
"yeah? sure."
the bright smile that stretches on your face feels like a reward to chan. you make your way over, placing yourself on his lap while facing him; thankfully, chan's chair is big enough for you to practically straddle him in a comfortable position. you wrap your arms around his shoulders and nuzzle yourself into his neck.
"you can go back to work now," you say, your voice muffled from the pressure of your lips against his skin.
chan can't help the lopsided smile that makes its way to his lips. he also can't help the way his whole body seems to relax with your touch; the longer he feels the warmth radiating off your body onto his, the more he feels the tension in his muscles deteriorating slowly. the feeling of your body pressed against his, his arms outstretched to continue typing or writing in his notebook, feels comforting.
moments pass when chan's room is quiet, and the occasional noise of chan typing on the keyboard, picking up or placing his pencil down to scratch down who knows what in his notebook. at the same time, you're still perched on his lap, your arms comfortably draped around him, and your face nuzzled in the crook of his neck and shoulder.
chan isn't sure if the arguing with han and changbin or if the feeling of you in his arms sparked some ideas to come out of him and onto paper, but he would like to say both. despite the heated atmosphere and half-hearted words thrown around, he doesn't want to feel like that argument was completely unnecessary and a waste of time; instead, he wants to see it as a bump in the road that shows him how he can continue to improve as a friend, producer, bandmate and a person as a whole.
meanwhile, you're thinking about how comfortable you feel in the position your in right now, and how you could probably fall asleep at this moment. sure, maybe your back will hurt when you wake up, but right now, you feel your whole body relax in your boyfriend's arms. a couple moments later, your eyes are half open and you felt yourself falling asleep, but you jump a little in shock when you feel both of chan's hands sprawled on your back. his hands rub your back gently and comfortingly before he circles his arms around your body and pulls you closer. a deep sigh escaping his lips as he holds you, his eyes falling shut for a few seconds. chan turns his head, kissing the side of your head on your hair.
"thank you," he whispers, placing another gentle kiss as his hands rub circles on your back again.
you respond in a small, quiet and slightly sleepy voice, "for what?"
chan shrugs, "for this. being here."
you nod, pausing for a moment before you say, "i ran into changbin and han in the hall."
you feel your boyfriend tense up in your arms. you begin to reciprocate his comforting action as you trace circles on his back with the pads of your thumbs, his muscles relaxing under your gentle caresses. you continue to speak in a soft, timid manner that only chan can hear since your lips are so close to his ear.
"i know you're under a lot of stress and pressure preparing for the album," you begin, "i get that you're frustrated, but can you please not speak to me like that?"
the man feels his heart drop listening to your words. his mind rewinds back to when he heard the door opening, and how his first instinct was to bark and scold whoever came into the studio uninvited. chan remembers how you blinked and gave him a small smile, trying to hide your surprise, but it was evident in how your eyes widened the slightest bit for a split second before returning to normal.
you and chan sit in silence; he's dwelling on your words while you're still tracing circles into his back with your thumbs. chan wants to say that he didn't know you were the one coming into the studio, to use that as a defence, but he knows how weak that is–that regardless of who came into the room, he shouldn't have let his frustrations blow over, flipping out and greeting them by raising his voice. sure, his emotions were high, which is a factor in how he acted earlier, but he can't use that as an excuse to get away with snapping at people who have nothing to do with what he's emotional about.
you feel chan nod, and he says softly, "i'm sorry." you go to say that it's okay, but chan interrupts, "it's not, though. even if i didn't mean to speak to you that way, i still need to figure out how to regulate and control my emotions."
"you're human," you say, "when emotions are high, it's hard to find a way to keep them under control all the time. but the fact that you recognize your mistake–that's a lot more than many people can say."
chan pulls you even closer against him, if it's even possible, "i'll try my best though. i'll speak to you at a normal volume, respectfully and saying sweet things. that's what my girl deserves."
your cheeks heat up at the way chan calls you 'his girl'.
"thank you," chan repeats.
this time, you pull away, sitting up straight to look at chan's face, your eyes meeting his soft ones. his hands rub up and down your sides slowly, a slight smile on his lips. you cock your head in confusion, "for what?"
"you always know the right thing to say," chan moves one of his hands up to tuck a strand of your hair behind your ear, keeping his hand on your cheek gently and the pad of his thumb swiping over the skin, "i love you."
you're blushing even harder now, "i love you too."
chan uses the hand on your cheek to guide your face so your lips meet his halfway for a sweet kiss. after quite a while, a smile breaks out on your face at the feeling of his soft pink and plump lips against yours. your hands move to hold either side of his neck, and the two of you spend the next couple of moments sharing tender kisses and giggles in between.
in the midst of all of the kisses, you and chan are gazing down at each other when he brushes your hair away again. this time, he opens his mouth to speak with flushed cheeks, "i'm starting to think han and his suggestions were right; it'll be better to build on something we already have and improve on it than to force ourselves to start from scratch and continue to hit a dead end."
you brush chan's hair out of his forehead, and he continues.
"my head was too far up my ass to consider his suggestion," chan purses his lips together, and his eyes flash with regret as he recalls the words thrown around between him and the younger producer earlier. chan lets himself linger in his head again before voicing his concerns, "do you think they'll forgive me?"
you nod.
"really? you're not just saying that?"
you nod again, and this time, you explain, "as long as you can identify and acknowledge where you went wrong and what you did wrong, and sincerely and genuinely apologize–which i know you feel sincerely and genuinely apologetic for–i believe they'll forgive you."
chan's eyelids flutter quickly as he thinks, nodding as he fully processes your words. still, a wave of nervousness washes over him at the possibility that han and changbin won't forgive him.
"they're your brothers," you snap him out of his thoughts, "brothers fight, but at the end of the day, they still love each other."

just had a vision of a very snappish kind of person who's very impatient and has high expectations of everyone around them coming down with a monster of a cold or coming into contact with an allergen right when they're about to give a very important presentation at a conference and they power through as best they can snuffling and sneezing ferociously into their handkerchief and everyone's just wishing it would end so they can escape except there's one person who's frozen, not only because they're a snzfckr who's absolutely transfixed, but because they're absolutely 100% certain: they've heard these sneezes before online

Turn the Record on and Wonder What Went Wrong (Preview)
Steve and Eddie circled each other after the final battle with Vecna. Steve was confronting a part of himself he had packed away so far in the back of his mind he’d never intended to revisit. Eddie was grappling with the fact that Steve had at best ignored him and his friends in high school and at worst cheered as the other jocks played hunt the freak with Eddie and his Hellfire cohort. Nancy breaking up with Jonathon didn’t help Eddie’s confidence in his new friendship with Steve either. Everything felt so fragile. Every touch felt like it was a statement of intent and neither Steve nor Eddie were quite ready to figure out what that meant. Eddie put his pent up energy into his music, churning out new songs for Corroded Coffin to try out during their upgraded Friday night gig at the Hideout. Turned out that being wanted for murder really upped your metal street cred.
Steve still worked at Family Video with Robin while they were both figuring out what their futures would look like. Nancy had surprisingly stayed in Hawkins after the final battle because she was able to get a differed start date from Emerson. The “earthquake” in Hawkins had made national news and Emerson seemed particularly understanding of Nancy’s request. Steve wondered if Dr. Owens and the feds had something to do with it. Nancy fit into Steve and Robin’s friendship with unexpected ease and the three of them often passed the long summer days at Steve’s house enjoying the AC Steve’s parents still paid for out of guilt they had left their only son to deal with the fall out of the Hawkins disaster alone. They would listen to old records Steve’s parents had left at the suburban mansion and put on aggressive false mid-atlantic accents while pretending to host fancy shindigs for important clients. Eddie and the rest of the party would join them often but no one else had slotted into Steve and Robin’s codependency as easily as Nancy.
It wasn’t that Eddie didn’t like hanging out with Steve and Robin and Nancy, it was that the Steve and Nancy of it all made Eddie’s skin itch. He didn’t know how to explain it without breaking the delicate tension between him and Steve. Eddie wrote about it instead. He wrote songs about boys with brown eyes and NPCs that were always just a little aloof and above whatever adventure the party was on. Thankfully the Corroded Coffin boys didn’t call him on any of it and let him work through the Steve Harrington problem via power chords and ballads. At some point, Eddie had written enough songs that the band was ready to send out a demo to labels to see if they caught any interest. On a whim, Eddie threw one of his ballads onto the end of the album. A song about a boy who was just out of reach.
Everything was everything But baby it's the last show Everything could be everything But it's time to say goodbye so Get your last fix, and your last hit Grab your old girl with her new tricks Honey, yeah, it's no surprise That I got lost in your brown eyes
***
Spoilers for the fic ahead!!
***
So I should absolutely be working on my big bang story but this idea came to me and I had to start it. I was listening to You and I by Lady Gaga and I had this sudden vision of Steve buying the Hideout. I also thought about Eddie making it big and coming back to Hawkins for Wayne’s wedding to Claudia (I low key ship this so hard). Of course Steve would be hosting the wedding at the Hideout. So then I was thinking about other Lady Gaga songs that were Steddie-coded and Brown Eyes seemed like such an obvious one. I also might use this story to write some background Will / Gareth because I am becoming invested in that pairing, lol. Please sound off in the comments about what you’d like to see in this universe!

Whisky Kisses and Chocolate Dreams
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis: You are trying to enjoy a quiet night to yourself when a certain Mr Willy Wonka stumbles home from a night out ‘testing chocolate ingredients.’
Word Count: 1.4k
Warnings: Google Translated phrases (please let me know if these are wrong!)
(I’m lowkey annoyed that Wonka didn’t speak other languages in the movie, because of course Gene Wilder did and it would make sense for young Wonka to as well considering he’s just come back from his travels, so you better believe I’m sticking it in here)
Beyond the happily ever after, the takedown of the fearsome cartel, the rearrangement of the corrupt police force, the arrest of the despicable wash house owners, Noodle’s family reunion, and the return home of the scrubbers, there was you and Willy. Through everything.
You accidentally stumbled across him on the first day he attempted to sell his chocolate in the Galleries Gourmet and, as his chocolate plan grew, continued to bump into him in the most unexpected of places. From the moment your eyes met, and a sweet smile rose on his face, the smile he glowed with as he watched the chocolate cartel fly away, sent Noodle home to her mother, toured the ruins of the castle that would become his cosmic axis, you and Willy were thick as thieves.
Since then, Willy had been busy building his mini-empire, including his refurbished shop in the Galleries Gourmet (which had quickly become one of the most popular retailers in the city) and the opening of his brand-new factory, but never busy enough to neglect you. Because he took you with him, into his factory, into his living quarters, initially as Chief Operations Officer, regular taste tester, roommate and partner in crime, and eventually into the most freeing relationship you had ever had the pleasure of stumbling into.
Willy’s friends visited, of course, and very often, especially Noodle. However, it was Miss Benz who Willy was out with one night when you were allowing yourself time to relax with a cup of hot chocolate and the latest funny papers.
It was late, but not too late, and you were sat in the armchair in your bedroom. It had been your idea to keep separate bedrooms even after your relationship with the chocolatier had blossomed, tentatively suggested over an early breakfast, but Willy was eager to nod and agree. He worked a very strange schedule, sometimes sleeping in late and others bursting awake at the first sign of dawn, and often not slipping back between the sheets until the world was shadowed in darkness. Despite this, when your schedules matched up, neither would oppose the other sneaking into their room at night.
In your room that night, the fire was roaring in the hearth, battling the oncoming autumn chill, and you were enjoying the stillness of the end of a busy day. Willy had gone out early afternoon, and you glanced towards the clock languidly, not particularly worried. Willy may have been prone to getting himself into tight spots, but you had no doubt that Miss Benz would stand for none of it.
Still, you did wonder where they may be. It wasn’t unusual for Willy to disappear for hours and then show back up as though it had only been a few minutes, babbling about a new idea or the source of a new inspiration. But these were usually solitary adventures – he enjoyed devoting all his time to his friends when they were in town.
Before your twinge of worry could teeter and threaten to overspill into a pool of anxiety, you heard the distinct sound of the front door clicking shut below. He was always extra quiet when coming home after dark. He never wanted to wake you.
Not that this seemed particularly important to him on this night. Because, not ten seconds after the front door shut, there was a mighty bang like metal hitting wood, some unintelligible mumbled words, heavy footsteps, and finally a soft knock on your door.
Before you could respond, your door flew open, and in flashes of purple and brown, a familiar body stumbled into your room, exclaiming your name. You were faced with Mr Willy Wonka, swaying slightly on his feet with his arms wide open. “Hello, my love!”
He looked dishevelled, his coat crinkled, hair a mess beneath his slightly dented top hat and shirt tails hanging out over his trousers. Heaven only knew what had happened to his waistcoat.
You watched him with your eyebrows raised as he took off his hat, patted down his curls, and turned on his heels around your room.
“Hm, where did the coat rack go?” He mumbled to himself. You did not have a coat rack. He looked at you, biting down on your lip to stop from laughing at the state of him, and a dawn of realisation rose on his face. “Oh well, I suppose this will do.”
He stumbled over to you and placed the hat, at an angle, on your head, adjusted it slightly, and then patted the top with a smile. Once he was satisfied, he turned and fell unceremoniously face down on your bed. That laughing smile grew unrestrained on your face as you plucked the hat from your head and put it carefully on the table beside you. “Willy?” You questioned, and he looked over at you with glazed-over eyes and a dopey grin.
“Mmm?”
“What are you doing?”
“Having a lie-down.”
“This is my room,” you said, humorously.
“Then why are you sitting there like a goose?” He rolled over onto his back so he could look at you properly as he patted the empty side of the bed.
You were quick to cast the paper you were engrossed in only a second ago to the side and slink into his open arms. But, getting up close to him allowed you a sudden realisation before you could settle down.
“Willy, have... have you been drinking?!” You asked, unable to hold back your laugh as you noticed the scent of alcohol tingling your nostrils, the dreamy mist of his eyes, the twitching of his fingers.
“No,” he responded quickly, defensively. “Miss Benz and I have been testing chocolate ingredients.”
“Oh, and what were these ingredients?”
He opened his mouth, then hesitated before replying, looking beyond you in thought. “Well, we started with rum for these incredible bottle-shaped Rum Babas I want to experiment with, there was quite a bit of that to taste, then we tried some liqueurs, lots of flavours, the cherry tasted just divine, a glass or two of champagne for truffles, and then we sampled some whisky for fudge. And then, I... well, then I was here. Come closer, I missed you.”
He held you tightly, pulling you into his sweat-sheened skin until your nose brushed against the tautness of his neck. With this closeness, Willy took the opportunity to press a dozen soft, quick kisses to random planes of skin on your face, across your nose and cheeks and forehead and hurriedly closed eyelids. You could smell the overwhelming scent of whisky lingering on his breath as his lips stumbled across your face, but he pressed them to your own before you could comment.
His kiss tasted interesting, a cocktail of numerous alcohols and, of course, chocolate, but his lips were as soft and gentle as they always were. You hoped that would never change.
“Oh, Y/N, Y/N, Y/N,” he started mumbling as he pulled away, staring at you with wild eyes. “Mon amour, amore mio, meu amor, qīn’ài de, meine geleite – hm, wait, that’s not right. Meine.... Ah, meine geliebte.” Although the numerous ways of breathing a new lease of life into the sweet name he had for you tickled you pink, giggles bubbled up in your throat and tumbled from your lips as unrestrained as the whisky flowing on your lover's breath. He looked at you with a bemused expression that was hurriedly offset by a beaming smile. “Why are you laughing?! I’m expressing my love!”
You didn’t bother to even try and stop the laughs escaping your body, but you did fight through them to make your excuses. “I know, I know, but... nevermind.” You dragged the heel of your hand over one of your eyes before looking at him earnestly, genuinely. “I love you.”
He glowed at your words, lit up and grinning like a child at the foot of a Christmas tree. “I love you too,” he returned the sentiment with quiet vigour, stroking two trembling fingers against the protruding bone of your cheek.
However, the moment was somewhat spoiled by the obnoxious yawn he released, barely covered by the hand that wasn’t touching your skin.
“Come on,” you said, nudging him slightly until you could peel up your coverlet, “let’s go to bed.” He was eager to fall under the covers and pulled you closer instantly, so the bedspread fluttered down around you of its own accord.
Held tight in his arms, you felt the softness of Willy’s lips whisper at your hairline, an everlasting goodnight kiss. Before you could press a kiss to his neck in return, he was already beginning to snore.

You set down the tray of cookies on the cooling rack before closing the oven and getting back to icing cupcakes to for an order. You roll up your sleeves and get your hair out of your face before putting on gloves and getting to work. Music softly playing in the background, a random playlist of ballads you found to fill in the quiet in the bakery.
Today has been relatively calm. After the morning rush, you've been working on cookies and cakes for orders as you wait for your shift to end. That's one of the parts you love about working in your bakery, the quiet moments where you could just sit and work. Your boss was kind enough to let you watch TV while you worked after catching you watching skz code videos or dramas on your phone while working. Eventually, he brought in an old television and set it up so you and your coworkers could have it on in the background during the slower moments.
Your life has become increasingly dull and a little lonely since you blocked Topher—Chan. Bothering Topher/Chan had become a part of your daily life over the past few months, it was basically a routine. You gotten used to the delayed responses and were even happy when he happened to be awake at the same time as you.
When you found out that Topher is actually Bang Chan, you were a bit disappointed. Not because of who he is but because of who he is. You’re not sure exactly when, but you started to develop feelings for Topher at one point. Daydreaming of the two of you eventually meeting in real life and falling in love like some fairytale and living happily ever after often consumed your brain. But when you found out that Topher is an idol, those daydreams suddenly felt like nightmares.
You watched enough dramas and even witnessed the real-life drama that entails dating an idol to know how bad things can get. It scares you, the idea of just being friends with Chan because you know what the fallout will be. You don’t need the added drama that will ensue from just being in Chan’s life, you’ve been through enough as is. But part of you wants that connection that you had with Topher back.
Ring, ring
“Welcome to Sugar Bliss! I’ll be with you in a minute!” You call from the side of the bakery as you hear the bell ring from a customer coming inside the bakery. You finish icing the cupcake you are working on and set the icing bag on the counter before tossing your gloves in the trash and heading to the front of the shop.
Your breath hitches in your throat and a chill runs through your spine as you catch a glimpse of the customer on the other side of the counter. He did his best to remain unrecognizable, the face mask and black cal he’s wearing doing their job. Even the large black hoodie and jeans helped cover his identity. What gives him away are his eyes. You would recognize his eyes anywhere, and you have playing those Guess the SKZ member based on a body part games online.
Bang Chan was standing in the middle of your bakery. Why? You weren’t sure, but you wanted no part of it.
“Get the hell out,” You say coldly as you turn back to go back to work on the cupcakes.
“Y/n? Is everything okay?” Your boss asks from further in the store. He was currently on his lunch break.
“Yeah, I was just talking to a tool,” You call back, “the icing wouldn’t come out of the piping bag.”
“Y/n, please,” Chan calls, loudly. There’s no way your boss wouldn’t have heard him.
You silently swear to yourself and quickly turn on the balls of your feet and walk up to the display cases. You look Chan in the eyes. They’re soft and sad.
“I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, so get out before I call the cops.” You say cooly. Chan stands there a second, thinking. Or maybe he didn’t hear you
“Did you hear me? I said—“
“My MBTI is ENFJ. My natural hair is curly but I’ve gotten used to it being straightened, which I don’t necessarily like. My favorite season is autumn. I like sunny days more than rainy days. I—“
“What are you doing?” You ask, cutting him off as he info dumps on you.
“One of the reasons you stopped talking to me is because you said I lied because I was pretending to be someone else. So I’m telling you everything about me.” He rambles, his voice muffled from his mask.
“As sweet as that is, Chan. None of that is new information. I can find all that out from interviews and fansites. Hell, I already knew all that stuff.” You sigh as your hand reaches for the store phone. You didn’t want to call the police, it would only cause a scandal. You were going to pretend to call them so he would run before they got there.
“Wait, wait, wait! Fuck,” he huffs, pulling down his mask, “I love my sister, I really do, but when Hannah was born I despised her. I wanted a little brother, not a little sister. So one day I put her in a box with a note asking for a refund or a baby brother instead. My parents only found out because I went to them for packing tape.”
“What—“ You can’t help but laugh, “where did you try to ship her?”
“My parents said we were Korean so, I tried to ship her here.”
“Chan! You tried to ship her here all the way from Australia?”
“I was 6, what did you want from me?”
You start to laugh harder, which causes Chan to let out a relieved smile. A twinkle shining in his eyes.
“You have a really pretty smile. I’ll tell you more stories like that if you want. If it’ll make you laugh like that. If you’ll be my friend again.” He says quietly.
“You know,” you usher for Chan to follow you behind the counter. It’s nearly time for people to start coming in for lunch and the last thing you need is a frenzy. “You not being truthful wasn’t the only reason I stopped being friends with you.”
“Don’t worry about that. I have it figured out. I’ll protect you, I promise. Nothing will happen, and if it does, I’ll handle it.” He sits down in the chair next to your workstation, careful not to touch the counter. You pull on your gloves and go back to icing the cupcakes.
“Why are you so obsessed with being friends with me?” You ask, not looking up as you work. You know if you look at him there is a strong chance you might cave.
“Because you didn’t know who I was and you’re the first person in a long time I could talk to freely without worrying that you wanted something from you. And talking to you makes me unbelievably happy even though you were a pain in my ass 99.9% of the time.” You finish icing the last cupcake and quickly glance at Chan. His eyes are half crescents as he smiles softly as if he’s remembering something fondly.
“I know who you are now. What makes you think I don’t want something from you now that I know that I know the truth?” You get the sprinkles and continue decorating the cupcakes.
“I’ve been talking to you for months. Plus, you blocked me when you found out and tried to call the cops. Besides, I want something from you.” He leans back in his chair, still trying to avoid the counter.
“What could I possibly have that you want?” You scoff. you make significantly less money than him, there is. O way that you have something that he wants.
“If I remember correctly, I was promised a free meal for those tickets.” He said coyly.
“Are you serious?” You finish decorating the cupcakes and start putting them in the box.
“You’re a Stay, you know I don’t play when it comes to food.” He smirks.
“You’re rich,” you throwback
“A free meal is a free meal,” He crosses his arms and leans his head against the wall.
“Okay, let’s go,” You huff, closing the cupcake box and putting it in the fridge.
“Wait—“ You grab your bag and throw the dirty gloves in the trash.
“Mr. Lim! I finished the cupcakes for the order, I’m going to take my lunch!” You call out loudly.
“Have a good lunch!” Mr. Lim calls from the back of the shop.
“We’re going right now?”
“Yeah, the sooner I pay back my debts, the faster this is. C’mon, I only have an hour and it’s lunch rush.” You pull Chan up by his hand and drag him out to the bakery.

doldrums vs. irresistible
The tombstones were waiting They were half-engraved They knew it was over They just didn't know the date And I cast a spell over the west To make you think of me The same way I think of you This is a love song in my own way Happily ever after below the waist
You're second-hand smoke I breathe you in, but, honey, I don't know What you're doing to me, mon chéri But the truth catches up with us eventually Try to say live and let live But I'm no good at lip service Except when they're yours, mi amor I'm coming for you and I'm making war

Hello, may I ask for a request? If it makes you uncomfortable please feel free to skip this and always make sure to put yourself first!!!
What about Crowley and Aziraphale with a reader who’s been struggling with self harm? They’ve been doing well but they’re going through a rough patch.
Of course! So I wasn’t sure if I meant for it to be romantic or not so I kind of made is so it could be interpreted either way.
Warnings: self harm, angst, suicidal thoughts (ish), depression and Crowley cuz he’s his own warning 😭
This will be set just after good omens season 2 however the metatron didn’t come and Crowley, azi and y/n live happily ( ish) ever after :)
You lived in the bookshop with Crowley and Aziraphale, having been kicked out of your flat after being unable to pay the rent after inflation. You had, had a really rough patch and had fallen into depression, this caused you to struggle to even get out of bed, this meant you had to take time off work to recover, this resulted in being paid less and not being able to pay rent.
So when aziraphale and Crowley found out, they invited you to live with them, you had known them for about 6 years now so you moved in with them. However, during this time, you still struggled with depression, which eventually spiraled into suicidal thoughts which caused you to start self harming, this was 2 years ago ( when you had moved in ), when aziraphale and Crowley found out, they helped you through it, Crowley giving you tough love about it “ Trying to kill yourself?! Well… that’s… no! That’s not on!’ He had said, which you later learned he had said before to another woman. Aziraphale however had been much kinder about it and had constantly been there with tea or even just for a chat.
Of course these things don’t fix depression, but they helped, eventually you got help from a doctor and started taking antidepressants.
For about 9 months, you were absolutely fine and everything was ok for you, however, you lost your job recently and it sent you back into a spiral, you ended up stopping taking your tablets and didn’t take care of yourself, you were grateful you lived with aziraphale and Crowley because otherwise you didnt know what you would do.
WARNING ⚠️: from here is the self harm, please do not read it if it’s triggering!
After a while, you began to think about ending your life, you had got it into your head that if your job didn’t want or need you, neither did Aziraphale or Crowley, you began wondering if you just burdened them.
That day you went to the bathroom and took out your razor, you pulled up your sleeve and took your razor to your arm, and began cutting, you gasped at first, as the razor created more marks over your healed scars, your eyes welled with tears but you continued, cutting your arms, almost as if punishing yourself for everything that had happened.
Suddenly there was a knock to the door and Crowley’s voice could be heard ‘ y/n? Are you alright? You’ve been in there for a long time! I need the loo!’
You gasped, almost as if just realized what you had been doing. ‘ c-coming! Just a minute!’ You stuttered out to the demon. You looked at the floor that was pooled in blood after your attack on your arms, you attempted to grab the towel to wipe it up, only for you to get it on your clothes.
The banging on the door from Crowley didn’t help, you began to panic which Crowley clearly heard through the door, his constant knocking stopped and he rushed off, coming back with Aziraphale.
‘Y/n?’ You heard Aziraphale’s soft voice come through the door ‘ are you alright? I’m going to come in…’ he said softly
Your eyes widened at this, ‘ NO! No don’t!’ You screamed through the door, not wanting them to see the mess you had made of yourself. However, it was too late, the door had been miraculously unlocked and the door swung open.
The angel and demon gasped at the sight, ‘oh my-‘ aziraphale muttered
Crowley for a second looked angry only for his anger to morph into sadness and pity. ‘ we talked about this…’ he mumbled
Tears flowing freely down your face, you began apologizing, ‘I’m so sorry! I didn’t- I- I promise I’ll clean up and-‘
Suddenly you were engulfed in a hug from the two of them, ‘don’t worry about the mess, we care about you’ the two told you.
After about 20 minutes, the mess was clean and your arms had been put into bandages, you were all now just sitting on the sofa cuddling.
‘Do you mind me asking, what brought it on?’ Crowley asked softly
You shrugged, ‘ everything I suppose… work firing me, then I got ideas into my head about being in your way… a-‘
At this, Aziraphale stopped you, ‘ in our way? Dear, you couldn’t get in our way, surely you must know that’
You stayed quiet at this. The two entities looked at each other in worry, almost as if to wonder if one of them had said something to make you think that, of course they hadn’t but they worried anyway.
‘ you are definitely not in our way, don’t ever think that!’ Crowley said sternly .
Aziraphale nodded before saying, ‘ we’re here for you y/n, we always will be, we’re going to take care of you as long as you’ll allow us’
That was a promise that the two kept, for years to come, always being there, checking you were ok and taking your tablets.
You knew you could count on them both, and they could count on you. It was ineffable.
Hi! I hope this is what you wanted! I realized half way through it might not be!
Thank you for requesting, i enjoy writing so much and am happy to write whatever people ask for ( within reason)

So I’ve mostly been lurking in the rwrb fandom but I’ve seen some discussions about what the sequel could look like so I thought I’d throw in my two cents:
Cold open with the proposal.  Dealer’s choice who, how and where (Paris seems an obvious choice, but also, well, rather obvious, dare I say a bit on the nose). Bonus points if Nora, Pez and/or Bea are somehow involved.
General background for the film would be Alex and Henry’s big fat royal wedding (I know in the book Henry left the royal family but from a narrative pov that would be wasting so much material). The wrinkled white racists at Buckingham Palace obviously come up with the most absurd obstacles and demands giving the boys plenty of opportunities to be adorably mutually supportive and cute. Or bang out their frustration.
One plot line could involve Alex getting princess diaried and finally being forced into those desperately needed etiquette lessons.  I imagine Shaan is heavily,  long-sufferingly involved (Zarah sends some very creative threats should Alex damage her boyfriend). Alex, of course, fights tooth and nail against any bit of royal protocol the point of which cannot be explained to him by anything other that ' that’s how we do it‘. Because is not a good enough reason for him to do stupid stuff. As a fellow English lit major I have a strong need for Henry to remind his grandfather that 'great customs curtesy to great kings' and maybe the royal protocols need some updates (they really, really do) and if the king can’t change then then who can?
Another plot line could centre around Philipp noticing that Henry is feeling some kind of way about certain people on the guest list. The 'I had my first time with one of my big brother’s friends when I was 17‘ bit wasn’t in the movie, but given we’ve only heard a fraction of those 72 emails it wouldn’t be a stretch to say it was in there. Pip could regain some of Alex's and Bea's trust as they work together to find out who took advantage of Henry (they eventually realise the person to ask is obviously Pez, but getting him to spil takes some convincing).  Philipp concludes his redemption arc in the grand finale of the film by punching the guy at the reception, causing a major scandal at his brother’s wedding thus making them even. Alex and Pez shameless cheer, Henry is surprised but very touched.
And then they lived happily ever after (until part 3)

Happily Ever After (after all)
a/n: so happy I was able to participate in the mini bang event for @grishaversebigbang this year! Here’s one of my two fics 👀 The fic is inspired by some awesome art and I’m so happy to have met all the amazing people I got to work with 💖
Materialki: @sunshinesartisticquirk (x)
Summary: An AU where everyone lives and Nina gets to introduce Matthias to her parents, Fedyor and Ivan.
Read it on AO3 here or under the cut!
The war was over. The Darkling had been defeated and the fold had been destroyed. Now it was time to rebuild. Rebuild the little palace, rebuild the rest of Ravka, and rebuild the trust between Grisha and the rest of the world that had been shattered by the Darkling.
For Fedyor and Ivan, there wasn’t much to do. The fabricators were hard at work rebuilding the little palace. The healers were tending to the wounded, and Fedyor had no idea what the materialki were doing. Mostly helping the fabricators, he suspected.
But that left the heartrenders, the soldiers, with nothing to do. Well, nothing but sit and think about the future.
Fedyor could hardly believe he got to have a future. One where his entire family survived, at that. They had gotten word just that morning that Nina had been found, and that she was coming home. She had been in Ketterdam of all places.
Nikolai and Zoya had found Nina there while on a mission to intercept some kind of weapon. They were all coming back, along with a couple of…guests. That was the official word.
Fedyor and Ivan spent days trying to theorize what that meant. Did they find more grisha willing to come back to Ravka? That was a possibility, but some random Kerch grisha would hardly be considered guests. Fedyor doubted they had managed some kind of Kerch ambassador, no matter how charming Nikolai could be.
“As long as they aren’t intent on killing grisha” Ivan mumbled.
Fedyor rolled his eyes and chuckled.
“What do you expect? A druskelle?” Fedyor teased as he affectionately rolled his eyes.
Ivan huffed and shook his head. They both knew that Ravka was desperate to rebuild after the war, but not that desperate.
They spent the next few weeks waiting for Nina. All the while, Fedyor was coming up with more and more outlandish theories on who the potential guests could be. He’d suggested anyone from some Kerch mob leader, to some fancy merchant who was sympathetic to Ravka.
It was a way to distract himself, as much as it was to distract Ivan from the waiting. And wait they did. It felt like they waited for months, rather than the scarce weeks that actually had.
Eventually, finally, they got word that the party was only a day’s distance. The excitement was tangible around the grounds of the little palace.
Fedyor had half a mind to ride out and meet them, but it would hardly be appropriate. Instead, he spent the entire time fussing about, trying to calm his nerves. Nina would be here soon. He would get to see his daughter again. It was the only thing keeping him from losing his composure.
Fedyor hardly slept that night. He tossed and turned, and no matter how exhausted he was, he couldn’t bring himself to sleep. His mind was overrun by thoughts of Nina coming home. He hadn’t seen her in years. Had she changed? Would he recognize her at all?
It felt like a ridiculous concern to have. His daughter was alive and safe, it shouldn’t matter how much she had changed. But Nina had always been more on the carefree side, like Fedyor himself. He was worried that after everything she had seen, Nina would be closed off. That she’d shut down and not let anyone in, much like Ivan had.
Gods, it had taken years for Ivan to open up to Fedyor. He was just thankful that they had time. Time for Nina to open up to them again if they needed it.
Fedyor didn’t, however, have time to dally. He quickly got dressed and made his way to the yard where the Royal party would be arriving.
He found Ivan at the front of the crowd. Ivan was technically still the highest ranking member of the second army, so it was his duty to welcome the party home. Fedyor took his place next to his husband, brushing imaginary dirt off of his kefta. Now, all they could do was wait.
He could practically feel the tension radiating off of Ivan, so Fedyor reached out to gently squeeze his hand. Ivan squeezed his hand back in answer, and didn’t let go.
They stood there, at the front of the crowd, for all of ten minutes before they heard the familiar sound of Nina’s heartbeat. The sound of horses fast approaching was apparent only seconds later.
The closer the party got, the more Fedyor could tell about them. There were five people in total making their way to the little palace. One was Nina, and Fedyor was fairly certain that Zoya and Nikolai were amongst the party too.
But the others weren’t anymore Fedyor recognized. Based on the frown currently forming on Ivan’s face, he didn’t recognize the two others either.
When the party finally became visible, there was a loud cheer from the crowd just behind Fedyor. Zoya and Nikolai were at the front, and the Fedyor could practically feel the collective relief of the crowd. The joy of knowing their king was safe.
Behind them were Nina and two other men. Fedyor couldn’t see them very well from where he was, but they both seemed to be sticking close to Nina.
Nina hadn’t seen them yet, but when she finally spotted them, she jumped off of her horse and ran towards them.
She was there before Fedyor even had the chance to move, wrapping them up in a big hug. Fedyor hugged her. He was shaking, crying.
Fedyor hadn’t thought he would have this. When they’d gotten word that Nina had disappeared, he hadn’t wanted to panic, but as the years went on, he had lost hope of ever seeing her again. And now she was here. She was home and Fedyor would do everything in his power to keep her here with them.
The three of them eventually pulled away from the hug, and Fedyor could see that Nina and Ivan had been crying too.
Fedyor used the sleeve of his kefta to wipe away the mess of tears on his face.
“I missed you so much” he told her.
Nina sniffled and smiled at him sadly.
“Missed you too” she answered.
Nina looked back over her shoulder, and that was when Fedyor finally noticed the other two from the party that had arrived.
At some point, the two had dismounted and made their way over. Nina took a step back, and Fedyor finally noticed how nervous she seemed. Her heartbeat was elevated, and she was looking anywhere but at Fedyor.
She took a moment to compose herself, and Fedyor could feel himself becoming nervous as she did.
“Ivan, Fedyor, this Kuwei. He’s an inferni, but he’s going to be helping King Nikolai with something that we’re not allowed to talk about” she explained, gesturing at one of the men behind her. Now that they were closer, Fedyor could see how young he was. Around Nina’s age, maybe younger even.
Fedyor offered him a polite greeting, which Nina relayed to him in Shu.
Nina took a deep breath and continued with the introductions.
“And this is Matthias. He’s… my boyfriend” she said.
Fedyor was speechless. Of all the things he had expected, he hadn’t thought of Nina coming back with a boyfriend. Nina was a wonderful girl, but he just hadn’t thought it would be a priority for her.
Ivan seemed to recover before Feydor, because he held out his hand for a handshake.
“It’s nice to meet you” Ivan said.
Matthias shook his hand carefully, almost as if he were expecting a trap.
“It is nice to meet you as well” Matthias answered with a very heavy accent. A Fjerdan accent, Fedyor realized.
He eyed Matthias wearily, and could tell that Ivan had heard the same thing that he had.
Ivan asked him something in Fjerdan, and Matthias hesitantly answered. Fedyor could see Ivan slowly start to warm up to Matthias, so Fedyor didn’t have much choice but to do the same.
The two talked in Fjerdan, and, as much as Fedyor hated to feel left out of the conversation, he was glad that Ivan would have someone to talk with. The second army had always been hesitant to trust Ivan because of his Fjerdan background, and Fedyor knew it would be much the same for Matthias.
The crowd around them started to dissipate as King Nikolai and Zoya went into the palace. It left the five of them standing outside awkwardly, and Fedyor decided to direct them all inside. They made their way to one of the small, unused training rooms in the little palace. The one that Ivan and Fedyor had used to train Nina when she had been their apprentice.
Ivan and Matthias were still chatting away, and Fedyor could feel how quickly Matthias was starting to loosen up to Ivan. Nina would pipe in every now and then, but Fedyor noticed that Kuwei wasn't participating in the conversation either.
He offered Kuwei a greeting in a few different languages, before they found one they had in common. It was, unfortunately for Fedyor, Kerch. He hadn’t practiced the language in years, and Kuwei had a much better grasp of it than him. But they managed to make small talk, and Fedyor managed to get him to smile before they even got to the room.
Fedyor didn’t know what the secret project Kuwei would be working with the king to achieve, but he would be happy to get to know him more anyways.
And Fedyor was happy. More than anything, he felt complete, having his entire family back. And some new family, if the proud smile on Ivan’s face was any indication.
Nina was only a day’s ride away from the little palace. A day’s ride away from the only home she ever remembered. Her family was there waiting for her, and now that she had no debts in Ketterdam, she could go back to them.
By some miracle, both Fedyor and Ivan had survived the war. Her dads were alive, safe, and waiting for her. She could hardly believe that she was this lucky.
The problem was that Nina wasn’t going alone. Beyond Zoya, and the current king of Ravka, she was bringing Kuwei with her. An inferni who knew the formula for Jurda Parem. She thought he might be able to help her with whatever was going on with her powers now, but she wasn’t very hopeful.
Worse yet was Matthias. She was bringing a druskelle to Ravka. Even if he had renounced his ways and had sworn to protect her, the promise would mean little to most of the Grisha waiting for them. Matthias had reluctantly given Nicolai some key information on Fjerda as a show of good faith, which was the only reason Nikolai had allowed him to come in the first place.
The last day’s ride went by quickly, both far too quickly and not quickly enough for Nina. The closer they got to the Little Palace, the more nervous she got.
How would Ivan and Fedyor react to Matthias? To the news that she had taken the Jurda Parem? To… whatever was going on with her powers these days. All she could do was hope that they wouldn’t hate her for what she had had to do to survive, and to keep her friends alive.
As they rode up to the gates of Ravka, Nina could practically feel the excitement in the air. The war was over, Ravka had triumphed, and King Nikolai was coming home. Matthias looked extremely uncomfortable about the entire thing, but with a hushed reassurance from Nina, the two of them continued to follow the royal party up to the Little Palace.
There was a crowd waiting for them there. Well, waiting for Nikolai and Zoya, but Nina could feel all of the eyes on her, Matthias and Kuwei. The three of them stood out compared to the royal party they had arrived with.
Nina didn’t particularly care. She knew that everyone would judge them, or be weary at the very least. Finding her family was more important than what the others thought.
Nina looked through the crowd for any sign of Ivan and Fedyor. Had she still had her heartrender powers, she would have been able to sense out their heartbeats in the crowd. She couldn’t but it didn’t matter. They found her, and she caught sight of them standing at the front of the crowd.
Nina dismounted the horse she had been riding and ran to them. She didn’t particularly care how bad it would look. She got to them, and wrapped an arm around each of her dads to pull them in for a hug.
Nina cried harder than she ever remembered crying. She was with her family again. By some miracle, they had all survived and had found each other. She just prayed that it would be enough. That they wouldn’t be mad at how different she was, and for dragging a druskelle back with her to introduce to her parents.
Eventually, reluctantly, Nina pulled away from the hug. She turned, and saw that Matthias and Kuwei had caught up to her while she had been hugging her dads. Nina took a deep breath to calm herself, and introduced two people she had grown to care about to the two most important people in her life.

as the world caves in
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: kurumi wendy x gn!reader
summary: kurumi and you spend your final moments together...
tags: spoiler for the ending of mda, death, angst, implied romantic feelings/relationship
Tumblr media
"are you scared?"
kurumi held onto your hand as if her life depended on it, curled up against you and with your arm wrapped around her.
"terrified…"
you quietly mumbled, pulling her even closer towards you and listening to the noises from outside.
everything had happened so soon. the homunculi breaking out of the lab. the slaughter happening in kanai ward. you had managed to grab kurumi and run somewhere safe with her. but you two couldn't last here forever. eventually they would find this place too. and then the two of you would be…
"hey… y/n?"
"yes…?"
you glanced down at kurumi, her eyes filled with tears.
"i don't wanna die here… i never even got to see the world outside of kanai ward. never got to get married or have children. never got to grow up…"
tears started to flow down her cheeks and you wrapped your arms around her even tighter, pulling her as close as you possibly could.
"i'm sure that… there's another world like ours out there. one where things don't end like this. one where i got to propose to you and we could've lived happily ever after… i'm sure there is…"
you were fighting against your tears as well, trying so hard to stay strong for kurumi. as the two of you embraced, there was a quiet rattling at the door, signaling that they had found you. it would only take a few more moments before they'd break down the door and you'd be overrun by homunculi.
"i don't want another world… i want this one, with you…"
kurumi sobbed, the rattling at the door getting louder and louder.
"i know…"
with a loud bang, the door broke down and kurumi's crying got even louder. you wrapped yourself around her, trying to desperately protect her as the two of you got overrun by homunculi…

would u ever consider writing enemies to lovers fuck buddies royai? 🥹
okay so it would have to be an AU, but I LOVE this idea, because my mind immediately goes to a college AU:
-Roy and Riza are rivals of some kind. Perhaps they're both RA's at the same dorm? Warring Greek houses? TAs of the same class?
-and obviously they hate each other at first sight--Roy ACTS and SEEMS like a womanizer, which immediately pisses Riza off. And Riza acts like a fucking goodie-two-shoes according to Roy, which automatically makes her insufferable.
-but then someone (Maes, I'm positive it's Maes) has a party and they both get drunk and lo and behold they hook up
-naturally they both tell themselves "it was a mistake i'm never going to talk to them again". and of course that monday they get thrown into a group project of some kind together, and it's lasting the whole damn semester
-and their proximity forces them to start talking to each other.
-and oh no they become Level 4 friends and lock each other's tragic backstories
-the whole time they're still...you know...banging at regular intervals...because at some point they kind of decided to become fuck buddies and here we are.
-and they fall for each other at the same time but don't say anything because they think the other person still hates them deep down
-so they're peacocking around insulting each other and having ABSOLUTELY BANGER SEX
-anyway they eventually figure it out and live happily ever after
I hope that was an adequate answer! It would be very fun to write someday--we'll see if I ever have the time. Thank you for the ask!

If Top Gun 3 is a go and Hangman and Phoenix return, how would you see their story going from the end of TGM into the new movie? (Obviously resulting in them ending up together after the battle of wills and 🌶️ 🔥 times)
I love how you write them and I’m wondering how you’d plan out the plot if you were in charge 🤩?
Oh my god, this ask! I'll preface this with a caveat that I don't think I could plot out a full Top Gun movie. I don't have the storytelling skill or creativity! But in terms of their relationship setup, there are so many directions this could go:
We could go with a continuation of the wild and unruly universe where they're together and there's all the angst of one or both of them potentially dying in this next impossible mission. Imagine: Banging for dear life. A redux of the Rooster being too slow argument, only this time Natasha is the one picking the fight, because Hangman is surprisingly laissez-faire about it all and she is terrified. They part with fear-fueled angry words right before the mission, which they're both obviously going on because "conflict of interest" does not exist in Maverick's vocabulary, and then in the inevitable dogfight, he tells her to break right, she breaks right, and he goes left right in front of a missile. (I'm 99% certain I stole this from @goddesspharo's apocalypse AU.) OR she tells him to break right, he breaks left, and she goes right, right into that missile. Something something they make it back alive and everyone lives happily ever after.
Or the post-TG:M friendship has fizzled out into something friendly but distant, so they haven't seen each other in a bit, but they're brought together to basically be Maverick and train a new group of baby aviators. It's exhausting, they're spending more time together than they ever have, and hey—he's not that bad! He's actually...sweet? And smart? And there's a realization of feelings, maybe a tentative kiss, right before they realize they have to go on the mission to make it work. So all of this potential is hanging in the balance while they have to go save the world. One of them goes down, the other does not, and it's angst city until Cyclone sends in search and rescue. The person on the boat demands to go, even though that's definitely against eleven different protocols. There's a desperate kiss in enemy territory before they're making like gangbusters out of there so they can go on a first date.
Or the Dagger Squadron is a standing squadron in the Navy, so we're dropped in medias res of their shenanigans, by which I mean banging each other in secret. They continue to keep it a secret during training, but then shit gets real during the mission, and did Hangman just crash land his plane after Phoenix and Bob were shot out of the sky??? This version of Top Gun might end up being more a wilderness survival movie than a planes go fast movie? Bob is confused and really wishes he had earplugs. They eventually find a commercial-ish plane with seats for a pilot and co-pilot that neither of them knows how to fly. Bob gets them in touch with someone who can walk them through it. They fight over who gets to be lead, make it home, make it official, etc.
This is a chaotic answer, and I am not sure any of it is what you were looking for, anon, but I had a lot of fun with this. Thank you for the ask! I now want to write all of these.

About the backpeddled HEA thing, which could very much happen, I would honestly prefer him to be killed off. I've lived through too many things I've enjoyed being vague and up in the air because the creators just NEVER have the balls to write a concrete and full ending. "Interpet as you wish" can be creative, but 90% of the time it's a cop out to avoid mean tweets or whatever, I'm tired of that trope. "Leon living with you-choose happily" is.. so fucking unsatisfactory for such a huge name. Let him go out in a bang and die for something he cares about. Make it his biggest personal challenge. Let him learn something about himself and then let him go entirely.
I know you're not saying that HEA will happen, that it's unlikely even but by god... like half or more of the things I enjoy go with the vague bullshit and it just ruins characters and stories for me completely.
And in context with Leon? He unfortunately... can't really have a happy ending. Yeah, he makes us sad, but walking away into the sunshine forevermore is completely unrealistic for his character arc. It won't happen. Not for Chris either. I think he'll eventually be a self-sacrifice kill tbh, hopefully after somebody has the spine to make Valenfield kiss beforehand lmao.
lmao you recently beat FFXVI didn't you
But Chris can't die per Rose's DLC, so we already know that Chris has to live through whatever "ending" is given to the legacy cast.
And more and more I really feel like Leon doesn't deserve a hero's death. In both senses of the word "deserve."
He hasn't earned a hero's death because he didn't live as a hero. He lived as a tool and a coward who refused to take control of his own fate.
And he doesn't deserve a hero's death in the sense that he didn't do anything wrong to deserve death at the end of his arc. There's no redemption in death because he doesn't need redeeming.
Giving Leon death isn't closure. If Leon died a hero's death, that would mean that the first real decision he's made for himself since escaping Raccoon City at age 21 was to die.
And that feels really shitty. That's not catharsis. That's a character who spent his whole arc being punished for doing nothing wrong, then punished himself even though he did nothing wrong, and then died without ever having had a chance to live even though he did nothing wrong.
If Leon manages to wake his ass up and break his own chains, he should live to see the full extent of the consequences for that -- whatever they might be. His reward for doing it shouldn't be death.
But at the same time...
I also don't trust the Capcom writing staff to come up with anything better, either.

'Should David Tennant die? That is a far more controversial question this week than it was last week. Last Saturday, Doctor Who viewers, who have few certainties to rely on at the best of times, sat down with the unshakeable confidence that, one way or another, they were going to watch Tennant’s take on the Doctor meet a tragic end, again.
Yes, if forced to guess, we would have bet that his ending would be a bit more uplifting than he saw at the end of his last run (“The Doctor doesn’t want to die and thinks that the next version of him is an imposter” is apparently a legacy Davies only likes to leave for other showrunners to pick up). But none of us could have foreseen the regeneration splitting the Doctor in two, like a bacterium, or Captain Kirk when the transporter is having an off day.
“Bigeneration” is a plot choice that has drawn mixed reactions – especially as Russell T Davies has gone on to say that this process has affected all the Doctors, leaving Tom Baker lying on the floor underneath Jodrell Bank while Sylvester McCoy is banging on the inside of his drawer at the morgue. One must imagine Patrick Troughton’s Doctor has pretty mixed feelings about surviving the Time Lord’s enforced regeneration only to discover himself floating in the vacuum of space surrounded by a bunch of dead Cyber Time Lords.
This also leaves us with the frightening prospect of not one, but potentially four David Tennant Doctors wandering around the Whoniverse (The Tenth Doctor, the meta-crisis Doctor, the post-meta-crisis regeneration Tenth Doctor, and the Fourteenth Doctor, for those keeping score at home).
But aside from all the fun to be had watching Doctor Who canon completely explode, again, bigeneration is a game changer, and it doesn’t necessarily change the game for the better. A key part of the Doctor Who mythos is that the Doctor dies. It is important thematically to the show – as Peter Capaldi himself has pointed out.
As Capaldi puts it, “People always ask me what is it about the show that appeals so broadly. The answer I would like to give that I’m discouraged from giving because it’s not useful to the promotion of a brand is that it’s about death, and it has a very, very powerful death motif in it which is that the central character dies.”
Happily Ever After?
There’s no denying the truth of Capaldi’s argument – and Russell T Davies himself made sure to have lots and lots of character deaths in his Doctor Who from the start. But Doctor Who is also a kid’s show (yes it is), and while we all know children’s stories can go to surprisingly dark places, you have to come out the other side eventually. Kids want a happy ending, and that is a difficult ask for a story that has been running continuously across various media for 60 years and looks set to keep going for at least 60 more.
This was a big part of the Fourteenth Doctor’s arc, as the Fifteenth Doctor points out by reeling off all the adventures, tragedies, bereavements, and struggles the Doctor has been through since Ian and Barbara wandered into his TARDIS back in the first episode. Anyone who actually lived through all that would be an emotional wreck.
But whatever happens, the Doctor always resets to zero, the figurative “Mad man (person) in a box”, which means giving them any kind of lasting closure is a tough job. Yet, that is what bigeneration gives the Fourteenth Doctor. Weirdly, his ending is most reminiscent of the end of a The Fast and the Furious movie – a found family of characters sitting around an outdoor table for a celebratory meal, the one character whose actor has passed away ostensibly just off-screen.
The Fourteenth Doctor gets everything the Doctor might want – a chance for quiet, for rest, a family, a home, and a spare TARDIS waiting in the wings if he wants to pop out for a Big Finish box set (or future TV special) when nobody’s looking. It is the happiest ending the Doctor could hope for, and not for the first time.
The Many Endings of the Doctor
In many ways, the Fourteenth Doctor’s ending is a shinier version of the Tenth’s the last time the Doctor and Donna travelled together. In the epic two-part franchise-sized crossover story, “The Stolen Earth”/”Journey’s End,” the Doctor is forced to regenerate, but instead of changing his face the regeneration energy is transferred into the Doctor’s own dismembered hand (it’s a long story) and Donna herself, creating the DoctorDonna (leading to her mindwipe ending) and a new, one-hearted Tenth Doctor clone that his previous companion, Rose, could take back to her universe to grow old with.
The original script even had Davies give the Doctor clone a bit of TARDIS coral to grow his own TARDIS later down the line. But even here, the Doctor clone is all angry and warlike, while the original Doctor is left looking sad and wet and alone in his TARDIS when the credits roll.
Other writers have also taken on the job of trying to give the Doctor a happy ending.
Paul Cornell, the writer of classic NuWho episodes “Father’s Day” and the “Human Nature/Family of Blood” two-parter, also wrote a piece of fan fiction all the way back in 2009, “The Last Doctor” that attempted to give him an ending. Appropriately, it is a Christmas story, which sees a final incarnation of the Doctor warming a community of refugees with the heat of a dying TARDIS at the end of the universe. Either through parallel evolution or, frankly, because Moffat probably read it, the Matt Smith regeneration story “The Time of the Doctor” bears more than a passing similarity to it.
In “The Last Doctor”, the Doctor doesn’t get a happy ending as such. This Doctor’s best ending is to keep fighting against the dying of the universe until the last possible moment (as River Song says, nobody knows that everything must die better than the Doctor, but he’ll never accept it), and then to be present when the new universe is born. When your character’s defining trait is a need to fight injustice at any place or time in the universe, going down fighting might be the best happy ending they can hope for.
Steven Moffat has had a go as well. With his own anniversary special, he gifted the Doctor three happy endings. First, he gave the Doctor his home planet back. Secondly, he hid it in a pocket dimension so that the Doctor still had adventures to come and also didn’t need to deal with all those pain-in-the-arse Time Lords. But finally, he introduced the Curator, who closely resembled Tom Baker and suggested the Doctor might revisit some old faces in his future (You don’t say?!). This character was all but said to be a future incarnation of the Doctor, a Doctor who had retired from saving the universe to look after an art gallery. Fans are already suggesting this is the Fourteenth Doctor’s post-bigeneration fate.
But this is not even the first future Doctor that Steven Moffat has introduced! In the story that gave us the Doctor’s non-linear love interest River Song, “Silence in the Library/The Forest of the Dead”, the child whose brain runs the Library supercomputer is cared for by an AI called “Doctor Moon”, played by Colin Salmon.
Moffat envisioned the “last scene of Doctor Who” while creating that two-parter, deciding that the River we meet in those episodes is not only his wife but his widow. Moffat explained in Doctor Who Magazine (via Radio Times) that “Somewhere in the terrible future, on a battlefield, the 45th Doctor dies in her arms and makes her the same promise she once made him – it’s not over for you, you’ll see me again. So River buries her husband and off she goes to have lots of adventures with his younger selves and confuse the hell out of them.
“Until, of course, she ends up in the data core of the Library Planet, and realises she’ll never see him again. And then she starts to wonder why anyone would call a moon ‘Doctor.’ Ahhh…”
Later Moffat would write that even before the 45th Doctor and River Song ended up happily ever after in the Library computer, River Song and the Doctor had another happy ending. At the end of the Christmas special, “The Husbands of River Song”, Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor and River Song are given one last night together, before River must go and meet her “death” in “Silence in the Library” and complete their timey wimey bootstrap paradox.
But at the end of the episode, the Doctor reveals that on this planet one night lasts 24 years. For all the Fifteenth Doctor says about the Doctor never stopping, he stopped here for a while – as he did on the planet of Christmas in “The Time of the Doctor”, growing old and protecting children.
That is what all these endings have in common. The Doctor stops travelling. He stops, he settles down. The Ninth Doctor proudly proclaims, “I don’t do domestic”, but all of these “endings” imply a bit of domesticity is just what the Doctor is missing.
The End…Until It’s Not
While the Fifteenth Doctor can happily fly off into space because the Fourteenth Doctor “did the rehab”, and is next seen dancing in a nightclub in the upcoming “The Church on Ruby Road” Christmas special, we’ve got to ask, how long before this Doctor’s trauma meter is so filled up that they need to go and find another domestic happy ending somewhere?
Because the idea that the Doctor needs to “settle down” is, frankly, at odds with the entire nature of the character. The Russell T Davies version in particular is an escape from a certain preconceived notion of domesticity – frankly, straight domesticity. Rose, Donna, and Torchwood’s Gwen, they all start out trapped in dull lives with useless boyfriends, yearning for something more (Steven Moffat’s take on Who is, obviously, a good deal more sympathetic to useless boyfriends).
The Doctor is about freedom and adventure, and doing what’s right even when it’s dangerous or painful or socially awkward, and the happiest endings, the ones that leave you punching the air when the credits roll, are the ones where the TARDIS is already flying off to its next adventure as Ncuti Gatwa does at the end of “The Giggle”.
If one day Doctor Who does actually need an ending, an actual, proper, canon ending that brooks no return, the fact is they will have a hard time topping Sylvester McCoy’s speech at the end of “Survival”, the last story broadcast before the classic series of Who was unceremoniously cancelled:
“There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, and the sea’s asleep, and the rivers dream; people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there’s danger, somewhere there’s injustice, and somewhere else the tea’s getting cold. Come on, Ace. We’ve got work to do!”'

Isaac/Hector, Hector/Mathias and Sonic/Amy for the ship asks? :>
Triple feature? Alright :)
Isaactor:
• when or if I started shipping it.
After reading both mangas. I went from "huh, they don't interact as much as I thought" (game only), to "ohhh Isaac absolutely had a crush, it's canon" (MF manga), to "so you two were banging, weren't you" (PtR) like, have you seen the way they look at each other while fighting. man
• my thoughts:
I think they could have been good friends, even boyfriends, had they met anywhere but in Dracula's castle. The problem is that Dracula's castle was the only place that could accept them.
At first their differences drew them to each other: Isaac brought Hector out of his shell and acted as his senpai, Hector restrained Isaac from getting into serious trouble (not all the time lol). They'd banter and flirt and grow closer to each other, believing that only they could understand each other like no one else would.
But then, as they grew older, those same differences drew them apart. Hector became proud if not a touch arrogant. Isaac became too unsympathetic. Isaac also lashed out in pain over being the unfavorite one, while Hector felt alienated for his rebellious thoughts. And eventually, they realized... that they never truly connected after all. They just thought they did because they had no one else.
anyway i love the divorsties <3
• What makes me happy about them:
Imagining them when they were younger and full of hope :'D
• What makes me sad about them:
Imagining them when their relationship is nearly destroyed but they aren't divorced yet and they're forced to live with each other and futilely look for companionship and understanding :'D
Also, two prequels, and neither of them had scenes where we could see what their actual relationship was like >:( bruh >:(
• things done in art/fic that annoys me:
Ukefying Hector and semefying Isaac. Again, no, you're missing the point. Just because Isaac is more sexually charged it doesn't mean he's suddenly a god of sex. (I also personally disagree with the take that the dude whored his ass around the castle and was already experienced by the time he jumped on hector, because bro, when you live with mr. pretty silver hair, your standards are going to be raised to the stratosphere :P)
• things I look for in art/fic:
That sweet sweet tragedy of a friendship cut down in its prime 💖
• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
Hector with Rosaly lol. Isaac... I don't think he's ready for a relationship in general. although i still have a soft spot for isaavor
• My happily ever after for them:
I like to imagine that Hector secretly fantasized about running away from the castle with Isaac and them settling down in a cottage away from human society, just surviving on their on in complete freedom. That would be the perfect ending for them. But it wasn't meant to be :)
• what is their favorite non-sexual activity?
Sparring and racing on top of their Innocent Devils! I like thinking of all the ways they'd goof off lmao
Mactor:
• when or if I started shipping it.
I... honestly don't remember. Very recently. A month ago?
• my thoughts:
My thought process could be summed up as "what if Hecula but without the horrific abuse?"
Yeah, literally impossible with the main guy. So I had to resort to "Dracula but when he was more or less a decent human being" :'D
I just like the Lord/knight aesthetic they have. I like the idea of Hector willingly swearing loyalty to Mathias, Dracula's humanity, the part of him that Hector always appreciated; and I like the idea of Mathias being so taken away by Hector's mental strength (which he sorely lacks) and swearing to be a better Lord for him than Dracula.
• What makes me happy about them:
The Parallels™ and the small height difference
Hector is already sweet to his beloveds, Mathias also comes off as someone who is so so tender with the few people he cares about, and that's how you get a recipe for tooth-rotting fluff and devotion <3
• What makes me sad about them:
Their relationship is doomed to be fleeting because they'd have to return to their respective time period, and Mathias will eventually become Dracula and hurt Hector and love him in a twisted way.
The whole idea, in general, is that they have a short story, but it matters to both of them. It definitely matters to Hector, who will carry the memories for the rest of his life. With Mathias... he'll forget, in part. But for that short time, it was a comfort.
• things done in art/fic that annoys me:
Nothing. It doesn't exist.
• things I look for in art/fic:
Nothing. While Hecula could theoretically exist if people stopped being cowards, I am well aware that Mactor is extremely niche 😂
Well, except when @the-crow-binary writes short excepts, and they always write them to be either adorable and with terrible flirting game, or so supportive of each other no matter what they just went through <3
• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
Guess who for Hector, lmao.
Mathias... well, I would say Elisabetha or Leon, but we know how that ends :^)
• My happily ever after for them:
*cries in Mathias is doomed to become Dracula*
The best ending would be for Hector to go to Mathias' time period, befriend Elisabetha and Leon so that mathias can endulge in the threesomes he always wanted, and maybe stop the Draculification process lol. <- even better if this is post-CoD Hector who already went through the whole revenge process
• what is their favorite non-sexual activity?
Discussing about alchemy :) their brands of alchemy is very different lol, but they could learn from each other.
Sonamy:
• when or if I started shipping it.
At the ripe old age of 8 years old, because with me, it's either rarepairs or the most basic ships possible :'D
• my thoughts:
They cute lol. Honestly, it's just that. They cute. They're good friends, Amy has mellowed out a little from her "SONIC MARRY ME" days (I don't like when her crush is completely erased, but the 2000s were hard times), and Sonic appreciates her a lot and trusts her even when he doesn't understand her reasons. They're both very friendly and optimistic, but they express it in different ways, with Amy being far more extroverted and emotional than Sonic: sometimes they clash, other times they complement each other.
• What makes me happy about them:
The closeness :) Again, in recent portrayals they have chiller vibes, what I would expect from old friends.
• What makes me sad about them:
The 2000s. And that one scene of Sonic pushing Amy's face away in Generations. And the ship wars.
• things done in art/fic that annoys me:
Depicting Sonic as overly schmaltzy and romantic, all kissy kissy and huggy huggy lol. Sonic isn't like that. He's very introverted and more subtle in his affection.
I'm happy that I never encountered a Sonamy fic where Shadow is bashed in the same way Amy is bashed in Sonadow fics or Sonic is bashed in Shadamy fics, but I'm sure they exist and I hate it on principle.
• things I look for in art/fic:
I don't really look for fanfics anymore, sadly. Very few people see their dynamic like I do lol.
My favorite type of fanart is of the "sharing an umbrella" vibe, just the two enjoying each other's company :>
• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
Me, a Sonknuxamy believer: :)
• My happily ever after for them:
I'd love for them to travel together and have fun all over the world <3
• what is their favorite non-sexual activity?
What they already do in canon lol. Go on adventures! Although Sonic could also humor Amy and go on "dates"

Cinderella Snapped (Alt Version)
This is an alternate version of the fic I wrote that takes place in @arickaandherfictionalothers‘s Reverse!Descendants au, specifically my version that includes Azalea. This version doesn’t include the song, so here’s the link to the og if you want to read it. That being said, hope you enjoy!
💚🍎🖤🍎💚🍎🖤🍎💚🍎🖤🍎💚
Upon cresting the stairs, Aricka peered around the corner cautiously. A dark, decrepit hallway expanded before her, the wallpaper peeling and floorboards splitting. A musty scent lingered in the air, as many of the windows had been boarded up in a crude fashion. The only light that entered was through small cracks that were scattered along the walls and ceiling.
Aricka stepped into the hall, wincing as the floor creaked under her feet. Aricka treaded carefully along the hall, unable to shake the uneasy feeling welling in her stomach. Her eyes darted around, scanning her surroundings for any sign of danger. The silence was almost deafening, her own heart and stuttering breaths ringing in her ears. Eventually, she approached the door at the end of the hall. Stopping in front of it, she paused before she entered. Debating with herself at this final passage, only her own speculation aiding her at what awaited her on the other side. Taking a breath and gathering her courage, Aricka placed her hand on the knob, opening the door.
She was greeted with a somewhat small room, a table with three banged up chairs on her left, and what appeared to be the remains of a counter and some cabinets on her right. On the far side of the room was a dingy coffee table, above it an open window. Next to it was a couch, threadbare and stained; with Azalea lounging on it.
“‘Bout time you got here.” Xe said.
“Azalea, what is this place?” Aricka asked.
Xe took a drag of the cigarette in xyr hand, the sunlight illuminating the smoke. “It’s my own little corner of town. Place’s been run down for years, so I figured it was a perfect spot.”
“But… Mal lets you live in the castle, why would you want to come here?”
“Sometimes a guy just wants to smoke a cig in peace.” Xe shrugged. “Look, I know it's a bit different than the luxury rooms and king sized beds you bunch are used to, but having a hidey hole can be beneficial in more ways than you think.”
“Okay…” she stepped closer to xem, taking in the room. “So then, why did you ask me to come here?”
“As you might’ve guessed, I don’t bring people up here too often.” Azalea flicked xyr cigarette into the ashtray sitting on the coffee table. “But, I figured this would be a good place to talk.”
“Talk?” Aricka turned to xem. “I thought you were going to teach me more about how to be a villain?”
“Oh, I still intend to teach you. But you’re already familiar with what I have in mind.” Xe rose from the couch, slowly approaching her.
She raised a brow. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“The thing is Aricka, you’ve done well in our time together. You don’t learn the ways of these streets overnight, but you’ve picked it up fast enough. However, you still have one flaw.”
Xe was a few feet away from her, emerald eyes glaring daggers.
“You still hold back. You’ve yet to truly break free”
“What? But, I’ve done everything you’ve told me- you said yourself that I’ve been doing well!”
“And you have been. But you ever stop and wonder why I’m doing this for you? Why Mal brought you all to the Kingdom of Malice?”
Aricka couldn’t bring herself to answer, almost dreading what Azalea was to say.
“Because the world that your parents made isn’t the happily ever after they had you think it was.”
“It’s not- What are you talking about?”
“Your gaggle may not realize it, but we’re doing you all a favor. We’re helping you see the potential that your parents locked away in a golden prison.”
“But your parents were the villains, they were the ones to take over!”
“And your parents force you to be their prim, proper puppets.” Azalea almost snarled the last word. “They dress you up in what they want you to wear, and marry you off to whoever would benefit them.”
Aricka froze. What xe described, this fake fantasy that everyone was happy after the fairy tale, but was just propping up a ruse to save face,
That was her life back home.
“How… How could you know what life was like for us?”
“Because it's the same story every time. The guy gets the girl, all the problems fade away, and they ride off into the sunset together.” Xe began pacing around the room, hands gesturing to his description. “Sounds nice for the ending of a storybook, but if you want anything outside of this ‘perfect’ little status quo they invented, it's out of the question.”
“The isle may have been stifling, but it was safe. We had no other choice.”
"Maybe so. But has it ever occurred to you that the ones keeping you safe weren't so perfect themselves? Have you ever truly taken a look in that mirror you praise, to see the ruse your parents puppet you with? They don’t consider anything beyond their fairytale happy endings that they’ve been blinded by, because to them, that’s all there is. To them, that’s all your life ever will be.”
“But… Why would you care what happens to us? Why go through all this trouble just for the AKs?”
Azalea turned to her. “Because we’re not like our parents.”
Confusion returned to Aricka’s face. “But- you still have the barrier up around the isle.”
“I can’t control what Mal does; but I can control what I do. I can control what I wear, who I love, what I do. I can control my life, Aricka, and so can everyone else. That’s what we claimed for ourselves, that’s what this kingdom stands for. Our lives aren’t defined by a storybook, and yours shouldn’t be either.”
Aricka’s mind was racing, everything Azalea said made sense, but how could it be true?
“It’s just… My life used to seem so perfect when I was younger… We were the heroes of the story, we were supposed to be the ones with the happy ending!”
"Don't you get it Clarice?” Xe raised xyr voice. “This is why we brought you here, to free you from their grip. In this town, we can be whoever we want to be, and it starts by stepping out of the image our parents forced us into. It starts with us!"
“But why us? Why bother with me? What is this worth to you?!”
"It's worth your future, my future, the future for all of us! Your parents kept you in a prison, but you didn't notice ‘cause it was plated in gold- just like all their other trinkets."
Clarice stared blankly, trying to process the whirlwind of thoughts in her head. Azalea watched her.
“We brought you here to free you. We brought you here to reinvent who you are, outside of their untouchable image."
She bites her lip, hard enough to bleed. “I still have a sister back on the isle. Alexandra. She needs us. Chad and I. Otherwise she’s doomed. I can’t let my mother-!”
Aricka seemed in disbelief of the words coming from her own mouth, heart sinking upon the realization.
“Azalea, I can’t let Alexa be trapped in that stuffy life.”
Xyr lips curved into the hint of a smirk. “Exactly.”
“But I can’t- I can’t be evil. I can’t kill someone. I can’t make- I can’t purposely hurt someone.” She sputtered. “That’s not who I am.”
"Then don't be. We're trying to break you out of a death grip that's been around your neck your whole life, not force you into another one."
This seemed to puzzle Aricka. “Isn’t that what villains do? Hurt people, take what they want without caring about anyone else?”
“Well, not all of us. Like I said earlier, we’re not like our parents. Yes, our kingdom has a scary name and we’re not as strict about… Much of anything, but we’re not truly evil. We just value self autonomy in a way that makes people like your parents mad. Makes ‘em feel threatened, realizing we've wormed our way out of their grip.” Xe looked out the window. “Admittedly, the shoddy infrastructure is a byproduct of Maleficent’s rule.”
She pondered xyr words, looking back at xem with wide eyes. “You… You really are trying to help us.”
“That’s the idea. But we can’t help you if you don’t accept it.”
She stood in silence for a few moments. “... I want to talk to Mal. I want her to know I chose being a VK over being some perfect prissy princess.”
A pleased smile spread across Azalea’s face, eyes slightly narrowed. "That's all I needed to hear. I'll let her know to expect you."
Xe returned to the couch, plunking down as xe retrieved another cigarette.
“So, what am I supposed to do now?”
"You, my dear, can do whatever you like. Go, stay, it's up to you. But remember, in the Kingdom of Malice, one's fate is up to the individual, not anyone else."
Azalea lit the cigarette in xyr hand, studying the sunset as he put it to xyr lips. Aricka just stood for a moment, contemplating what she had learned. Turning to leave, the new perspective of her childhood was unfurling in her mind, memories replaying as she pieced together the reality of it all.
Perhaps those in the Kingdom of Malice weren’t so malicious after all.
Perhaps those on the Isle of The Fallen, the ones who were framed as the benevolent heroes, weren’t as picture perfect as they made themselves out to be.
