What inspired you to create your monsters and girls and bugtopia comics? They’re really cool and I love the characters and your art style!!

With Bugtopia it was mainly just a side hobby I did for fun because I just really liked bugs but there was a lot of stigma around it. God forbid you draw some bug with tits, people will harass you endlessly for it. but when i saw the positive reception of my moth girlfriends Dahlia and Zinnia, I was like "suck it up and draw what you want dummy"

WIth Monsters and Girls... originally it was actually going to be an adult comic series (and by adult i mean ADULT. like porn. it was going to be porn) about a fallen angel seducing a succubus virgin, but scrapped it because I wasn't feeling the concept and I couldnt get a creative idea out of it. So I shifted into an Angel who falls for Succubus but has no idea how to handle her feelings. Originally it was going to be more of a slow burn hence the early comics having Sera outright insult Lili.

But then I was like "eh fuck it. this isnt a tv show, let them date!" so it became a series of comics. but over time I started thinking about their world and their relationship to it and it just kept developing and expanding.

pinterest showed me some screenshots of posts that gave me the concept for an au where both harry and ron are sorted slytherin & draco is just slightly less rude in the first book. i could go into why i think this makes a lot of sense for ron but i won't. i've affectionately dubbed them the platinum quartet in my head and they will not leave me the fuck alone

every time i see "Ed asks Lucius to write down his lyrics" used as an argument for claiming that Ed can't write i just want to. you know. point out that Stede has Lucius write down everything he says?? and does?? all the time?? and when he can't find Lucius he asks Frenchie (who actually cannot write) to do it instead of just writing it himself. and we know Stede can write. it's got nothing to do with ability to write, just that the captains don't seem to want to write stuff themselves when they have an employee whose job is to do that exact thing for them

#this is not with any specific post in mind but i think this every time that point is brought up #like idk if ed can write (i think he can based on the scrolls and books in his room and he can definitely read) #and he is a genius no matter what #but i just think it's ~funny~ how 'ed asks lucius to write sth down instead of writing it himself' is used to argue that ed CAN'T do it #when stede does it ALL THE TIME. he really is just so boyfriend. like the kind who would reach the boxes in shelves you can’t reach

he is just always into being your hero . doing things to make you swoon

peter quill has a hero complex for sure but it gets hiked up about 200% when it comes to you. he’s obsessed with doing everything for you because he knows you like it, even if you don’t actually need the help. he knows you’re totally capable of taking care of yourself but he wants to do it because he’s so incredibly down bad for you it’s sick.

yes he’s definitely the type to reach high shelves for you!!! so casually dominant of him tbh. he comes up behind you where you’re tiptoeing in front of the shelf and easily snags the box you’re reaching for. when he hands it to you he’s veryy smug about it. especially if he gets a thank you kiss, which he usually does.

he’s also always tying your shoelaces or zipping your dress or fixing your clothes for you. your shoelace comes undone while you’re out with him and he doesn’t even hesitate to get on the dirty floor to do it up for you. you put your hands in his hair and tug gently as a silent thank you and he swears he dies on the spot. and if your clothes ever ride up and threaten to show more skin than he knows you’ll want to, he’ll fix them without a word and it flusters you so much.

ugh and if you’re clumsy!!! he gets so good at catching you before you hurt yourself. if you’re about to trip he’ll catch you before you do and dip you cos he’s a dork, his arm locked around your lower back. you’ll laugh and swoon and say my hero all sarcastic and it boosts peter’s ego wayyy more than he’d like to admit.
