assassin!levi being so so protective even when the two of you are asleep together in a shared bed.
his arms are wrapped securely around your tired and limp body, keeping a knife near his nightstand to make sure it's within his reach at all times.
sometimes he'll be half awake and half asleep, feeling your body turn in his hold. but, he keeps you still (for as long as he can throughout the night anyway) and runs his fingers through your tangled hair until the dawn meets the horizon again.
the sweet nothings that he only ever lets slip out of his mouth when you're deep in a slumber – it only makes it easier for his vulnerability to show. the gentle kisses that meet your temple and trail down to your nape. the small patterns that are drawn onto your stomach leaving a slight tingle under his fingertips.
assassin!levi who will protect you until the rest of his days, until his last sun and moon, until his last dying breath.

Hear me out; the Sides in an Assassin!AU
Remus and Roman's father is in charge of a, fairly large, assassin group, having many killers under his employment and even having them live under the same roof. While there are other groups, they are nothing compared to what their father runs
When Remus and Roman were born, Roman got severely sick and their father worried that getting Roman involved in the family business would be too dangerous for him and had him stay at home with their mother while he raised Remus to take over the business when he's gone
Cue them many years later, their mother is retired and living in a lovely nursing home and their father has passed away due to sickness. Remus had already been running the place before his passing but is now officially in charge and on his own.
Now Roman is brought into the home of assassins since he has nowhere else to go and Remus, worried that his brother is going to end up getting killed in some way or another, puts one of his higher-ups, Virgil, in charge of training and guarding Roman
But, while all this is happening, Remus hides a secret relationship with Logan.
No one knows of the relationship except for Patton (or at least that's what Remus thinks since he's unaware of Patton discussing things with his own partner, Janus). Patton is the cook of the house, he's in charge of making the meals and keeping the kitchen organized and together for anyone to come in and get as they please.
Logan, on the other hand, is in charge of maintaining the order of paperwork, scheduling, and research. While he doesn't do it all on his own, he does a lot of it and insists on double-checking everything himself. Not that he doesn't believe the others can't do it, he just gets anxious if he's left unaware of anything.
Also, Logan's own father was part of the business as well and had died during a job and had made Remus and Roman's father promise to provide work for Logan since he feared Logan being hunted down. A fear that Remus now shares
and has good reason to

AU where Jason comes back to Gotham and begins his plan to confront Batman and all that. Except after only like a week the Joker gets hit by a bus and then shot by a little old lady with a shotgun and dies.
Jason’s plan is now in shambles because the dramatic climax of his plan is no longer possible. But that’s fine. He’ll think of some other suitable alternative. Granted, it’s not quite the same if he uses some other villain. Making Batman choose doesn’t mean nearly as much when it’s not about the person who killed him.
And really, is he going to try and get Batman to kill Black Mask or something? Scarecrow? Red Hood is competent; he could do it himself so why bother.
So Jason lays low continues to build his criminal empire with astounding speed and efficiency. If only he could think of a good way to announce his return. Nothing he can think of is dramatic enough.
Meanwhile, the Bats are freaking out because who is this guy that’s taken over half of the Gotham underworld in like a month? He’s obviously trained, but they just can’t seem to get any information on who he is or where he came from. It is beyond frustrating.
After a few months Jason is frustrated that he just can’t seem to find any dramatic good way of making Batman prove himself. It has to be something big! Something magnificent!
During his weekly chat with Talia he complains about his problems and she suggests he come back for a visit. He argues that he can’t just leave, but she says if he has competent enough lieutenants it’d be fine. He spends the next three weeks making sure that everything will be fine if he leaves for a week. He will not have all of his hard work falling apart and going to waste due to incompetence. Absolutely not.
So then once his lieutenants are sufficiently prepared (and the rest of Gotham’s criminal element sufficiently cowed), he heads to Nanda Parbat, only to find Ra’s on the phone with Bruce, who is demanding to know if the Red Hood has any affiliation with the league.
Oh. Oh. He can give them affiliation.
A new plan begins to form.
He’s going to be the most affiliated he can be. Jason immediately goes to Talia with his newest plan: Overthrow Ra’s and takeover the league. Talia whips out her forty step outline for overthrowing Ra’s and tells Jason she’s so proud of him.
Jason has a new goal now, so he gets to work. He checks on things in Gotham, but everything seems to be fine and there haven’t been any unplanned explosions so it should be fine if he stays here for a bit.
Taking over Gotham really was good practice, as it turns out. Thanks to Talia’s plans and previous foundational efforts the takeover happens in no time.
Meanwhile the bats are still freaking out. Red Hood hasn’t been seen in three weeks, he may or may not have league of assassins connections, and even in his absence his goons seem to be managing things competently.
Back in Nanda Parbat, Jason and Talia finish their takeover. And now, finally, he’s ready to confront Batman.
He arrives in Gotham as the new head of the league. His arrival is loud, elaborate, and dramatic enough to fulfill his inner theater kid’s dreams.
Batman is speechless. And not his usual grunts instead of words, but actual surprised speechless. Jason is alive?!?!?!?
Jason was not expecting all the tears. And hugs. And mother henning. Goodness gracious, this was not part of the plan.
Bruce is obviously struggling with Jason’s revelation that he took over the league, but the newest little birdie seems almost relieved at that(?) and Dick and Alfred both seem strangely proud. Whatever. Even Bruce seems to be at least mostly ignoring that for now.
Then someone asks him if he knows Red Hood. Jason blinks. Says that yeah, he knows Red Hood. Everyone seems to ease at that. One mystery solved. Jason quickly realizes that most of them have no idea he is Red Hood. Cass seems to be the only exception but also appears amused and willing enough to not mention it.
Dramatic appearance complete, Jason now has a new goal: see how long he can keep the bats (minus Cass and potentially Alfred) in the dark about his crime boss identity.
He will bribe Cass as much as it takes to keep her on board with the causing chaos plan, but she seems eager enough. Favorite sibling status definitely unlocked. (The whole killing thing is fought over at great length and a truce of sorts is eventually made)
David Cain is never heard from again.
Damian shows up at some point.
At least one league member has suddenly found themselves as an HR rep for Gotham criminals? They’re still not quite sure how that happened.

Get in the Water prompt Storm alternate version Animatic Fanart
There was a spell, Constantine had explained after his own trip to the afterlife. Something to contain Danyal's soul long enough to resolve his unfinished business, to keep him still and away from the influences of his fellow dead. And if that didn't work, Constantine continued, then there were ways to force a spirit to rest. It was better for a ghost to move on by themselves, but if there was no other choice...
Damian hoped Danyal would choose to rest on his own. That he'd let him explain, finally.
Danyal had been weak. Strong in a fight, but too weak to kill, and that infuriated Damian. But he was scared more than he was angry. Because that weakness would get Danyal killed, could get Damian killed, could get the League killed. Even the newest recruits had a stronger desire to kill than Danyal.
He was the weakest link in the chain. And while their mother had taught them to be ruthless, Danyal had remained limp with mercy.
They needed Danyal's body. It would be Danyal's tie to the earth, Constantine explained as he joined them on the Batplane. The souls of the dead don't often linger on the mortal plain. The magician had speculated that the only reason Danyal had managed to manifest in the waters below Gotham was because of Damian's presence, but his remains would keep him stable this side of life for however long it took to heal his soul.
But was that even possible?
"I don't know, kid," Constantine admitted during the plane ride. "Wish I had a better answer for you, but... Your brother is a siren now. And from the sound of it? He really wants you dead."
"Then why didn't he kill me?" Damian argued. "He had hours to do it... or minutes..." The time he spent in that green world felt longer than the ten minutes Father couldn't find him, but... "He had me in his grasp and let me go. Doesn't that mean he didn't want to-"
"Have you ever heard the phrase 'Playing with your food?'" Constantine asked instead. "Sirens aren't known for letting their prey go. If we're out here, its because he wants us here."
They--Damian, Father, Constantine, Grayson, and Todd--landed in Nanda Parbat after a few hours. There was a crypt inside for members of the Al Ghul family who didn't use the Lazarus Pits. It was there Danyal's body was entombed. They would have to steal it.
And it was unfortunate that Constantine got them caught within five minutes of entry.
Damian glared daggers at the man as they were led towards the Lazarus Pit. Constantine shrugged. "What? I don't want assassins chasing after me because of some light grave robbing! Besides, we need to explain the situation anyway-"
"And what, precisely, needs to be explained?" asked a woman from inside the chamber. The heroes were pushed inside, only to see Talia Al Ghul standing where her father should have been. The Lazarus Pit hissed and boiled behind her, casing the cave in a ghoulish light.
Damian could hear laughing.
Father stepped forward. "Talia. Where's Ra's?" Grandfather was the biggest threat to their plan succeeding.
Mother... looked away, unable to meet his gaze. "I do not know. At the present moment... the Demon Head is missing."
You could hear a pin drop. "What do you mean?" Father demanded.
"It's as I said; he is missing. Yesterday, he was alone in the Pit, and hours later, no one could find him." She glanced behind her, at the waters, before looking back at them. "I had assumed he'd left to care for the League's interests. Now-" She tilted her chin up, looking down at them. "What exactly do you need to explain? What is so important that you break into my home to tell me?"
Stepping forward, Constantine explained. Mother looked grim as he spoke of Danyal, but did not interrupt. "We want to put his soul to rest. But for that, we need access to his body-"
"You dare ask for such a thing?" Mother snarled. "As if I even believe you. My son would never-"
"Your son?" Grayson snapped. "From the looks of it, you didn't care for either of your children!"
As the group descended into an argument, Damian heard laughter again, Danyal's high pitched giggle harmonizing with something deep and bone shaking. The Lazarus Pits loomed over him, beckoning him, whispering. Damian took a step towards it as his mother said, "I don't even have his body!"
"What?" Damian snapped at his mother, focusing back on the conversation. "But the crypts-"
"After your brother's murder, the Demon Head ordered for the culprit to be found. But they were never discovered." Because the culprit was Damian, he knew, and no one else ever learned about it. "I wanted to place him in the Pits immediately, but I was ordered to stay my hand until the murderer was caught. But..."
"He never was," Damian finished for her. "And then you put Danyal into the waters?"
"Yes." She closed her eyes. "And he never came back out. Even if it was too late, he'd still come back as the undead, but he never rose from the waters."
"Then this is entirely my fault."
"Finally," Danyal whispered in his ear, breath chilling his skin.
Damian did his best to ignore it. Danyal was haunting him. Danyal needed to be put to rest. If they couldn't do it Constantine's way, then they had to put him to rest another way.
Grayson looked troubled. "Robin, it's not your fault-"
"I'm the one who killed him," Damian confessed. Everyone stared at him. Grayson, horrified; Mother, blank; Father, betrayed. Damian continued, "I overheard you and Grandfather arranging a fight to the death, and I knew who would win. I couldn't... I couldn't allow Danyal to die without the Al Ghul name, in disgrace as the one who wasn't good enough. So I killed him, assassinated him, and now he's haunting me for revenge." Damian looked at the Pit. "So go ahead, Danyal."
"Damian, what are you saying?"
"Danyal wants revenge on the person who killed him; I'm giving it to him." Todd was staring at him. Damian might not be able to see past his helmet, but he could feel the respect coming off the man. "Danyal, I know you're here. Please come out." If he focused long enough, he could just making out wheezing breaths. "I can hear you, please-"
Father grabbed Damian by the shoulders. "Damian, listen to what you're saying! You're offering your life up for nothing!"
"B's right." Grayson placed a hand on his shoulder. "There's got to be another way. You don't have to do this!"
"Yes I do!" Damian ripped himself out of Nightwing's grip. "I'm the one who killed him! I'm the one at fault! My brother is suffering because of me, I have to save him-"
Stepping between them all, Mother slapped him across the face.
And the Pit's whispers fell silent.
Damian stared up at his mother, cheek throbbing with pain. She glared back. "Cease this behavior at once," she snapped. "There's no need to get so worked up over a ghost, of all thing-"
"T̴̯̃al̵̬͂ị̴̿a̵̮̕ ̵̼͐A̴̗̕l̷͈̆ ̴͚̓G̵͎̀h̷̻͒u̶̜͋l̴͍̀."
This time, everyone could hear Danyal's voice, filled with static and corrupted. Damian swallowed as his dead brother continued,
"D̸͕͠o̶̪̅ ̸͍̆ỹ̵̗ö̸̲ũ̸̧ ̶͖̚k̶̻͊ņ̸͐o̸̹̚ẘ̸̙w̷̛̹ḧ̸͚́o̷͉̅ ̵͈̑I̶̪̽ á̵̞m̶͙̂?̸̻͂"
The cavern shook as the Lazarus Pit bucked, a wave forming in the absolute center of the water. The wave rose, pillaring up above their head and brushing the ceiling. A cold wind rushed through the room and blew out the torches on the walls, leaving only embers and the occasional florescent behind. Damian braced himself for the waters to rush out and flood.
Instead, the water fell back into the pit, like it had never risen in the first place, leaving behind a lone figure in its wake.
"Danyal," Mother whispered.
And the dead boy glared back at her with pure contempt.

assassin!levi levi is a sucker for your cooking and baking, especially after a long mission.
he loves coming home to the smell of his favorite dish being cooked on the stove or your cookies in the oven that smell and feel like a warm hug.
most of all, he loves coming home to the sight of you in your cute little chef apron, a bowl and ladle occupying your hands and a distant, old-timey record playing in the living room.
assassin!levi who forgets that on the outside, he's a cold-blooded killer, willing to complete any task as long as it brings him home to you yet on the inside he's just a husband who adores his wife as much as the moon adores the sun.

Inherited Mess Pt. 1
I finally decided to write that Assassin!AU!
Summary: Remus and Roman are the twin sons of the all-to-famous Prince Assassin family. The main difference between the two, aside from looks, is that Remus was trained and raised to take over while Roman remained at home. After their father passes away, Remus is in full control and brings Roman into the house so he can keep an eye on the pampered Prince. Remus is now juggling handling the business, hiding a relationship, and ensuring the safety of his brother, unaware of the chaos that is soon to follow this decision.
Welcome Home
Remus hated this gross, anxious feeling in the pit of his stomach, leg shaking, and foot tapping against the hardwood floor. He was loud, confident, a little crude at times, and unafraid to do whatever he pleased, and yet the idea of his brother being late to the house had the skin around his thumbnail feeling raw from him chewing on it. His other hand held the back of a chair beside him where one of his right-hand men sat.
“You’re going to break the chair at this rate,” Virgil commented when he could hear the wood creaking under Remus’ grip. “I thought I was supposed to be the anxious one.”
“He’s late,” Remus said.
“It’s only-” Virgil looked at his watch. “-five minutes passed when he was due.”
“Janus went to get him. Janus is never late.” Remus hissed in pain when he tried to chew on his thumb again, and it felt like a sharp pinch. He saw how red his thumb was and softly groaned to himself, knowing he would get scolded by a certain someone later for that.
“From what I’ve heard about this brother of yours, he sounds like an overly spoiled prince who is probably used to having people wait on him hand and foot.” Virgil rolled his eyes as he spoke. “Janus can be stubborn, but he’s not going to risk accidentally hurting your brother by pushing him.” His face then turned to one with an almost evil smile. “That’s going to be my job.”
“Yes, yes, it is.” Remus softly chuckled. “But you’re not allowed to permanently damage, kill or fuck my brother without getting him dinner first.” He listed off with his fingers.
“Why would I want to fuck your brother? He’s probably an obnoxious brat.” Virgil crossed his arms.
“Trust me, I know.” Remus hummed with a wink. Before Virgil could ask what he meant, Roman entered the house with Janus behind him. “Would it have killed you to be on time for once?” Remus scoffed as he went over to his brother.
“I am on time.” Roman scoffed back.
“Five minutes late is not on time.”
“It is when you’re usually fashionably late.”
“Holy shit,” Virgil said as the two continued to bicker.
Remus and Roman did look like brothers. There was no denying that. They had similar jawlines and noses, and their hair was identical except for their styling since Remus had a tuff of white on the front. Other than that, there were plenty of differences. Remus had a good few inches on Roman in height and width. A life of training to be a killer would make you a bit broader. Remus had bulkier muscles than Roman in general. Roman had a fit, lean look to him.
Virgil had to admit to himself that Remus might have had a point.
“He was still packing when I arrived,” Janus stated, clicking his tongue. “I’m going to let Patton know I’ve returned and then gather some others to help me get his items into his room.”
“Sounds good.” Remus gave a quick nod of his head before turning back to Roman. “I’m getting you a watch.”
“I don’t need a watch. I have a phone.” Roman took out said phone and held it up.
“Then use the clock on it and not make me think you’re going to get your ass killed.” Remus snatched said phone and unlocked it.
“How did you know my pass-”
“Don’t be shocked. I’ve known everyone’s passwords forever. Do you really think I don’t pay attention? Not with my line of work.” Remus typed away as he spoke.
“Whatever.” Roman huffed and finally noticed they weren’t the only ones in the room after Janus had left. “Who’s doom and gloom over there?” He pointed at Virgil, who raised a brow at hearing himself referred to as that.
“That is Virgil. He is going to be your trainer and bodyguard.” Remus stated, not looking up from the screen.
“Trainer and bodyguard?” Roman watched as Virgil stood up and walked over to them. “Why do I need either of those?”
“You do know what we do, right?” Virgil asked.
“Specifics? No. I know my father was a powerful man. But I don’t know for what.” Roman answered.
“You didn’t tell him?” Virgil placed his hand on the phone to get Remus to look at him.
“I was going to tell him after he got settled.” Remus took a step aside to get back to working on the phone.
“Sure.” Virgil sighed. “So, you only know your dad had a lot under him?”
“Yeah.” Roman started tapping his foot.
“Guess we’ll save details until the boss here decides to spill.” Virgil shook his head a little. “But, I’m here to keep an eye on you so if the wrong person finds out who you are, you don’t get killed, and you’re going to get trained as well because everyone under this roof does. If you get caught alone, you, again, won’t die.”
“Why couldn’t I have just stayed at the house?” Roman groaned.
“Because you don’t know how to take care of yourself, and if I’m paying for a babysitter, it’s going to be someone I trust to teach you how to fight,” Remus stated, finished with everything he needed to do on the phone.
“I can take care of myself, thank you very much. Ms. Heather just helps care for the house since there’s a lot for one person to do alone.” Roman huffed.
“She wasn’t just a maid. She was armed and in charge of watching you after Mom passed since me and Dad were here more often than not. She’s moving in as well and returning to her prior position.”
“Wait…Susan had a gun?”
“Susan had two guns, a knife, and brass knuckles.”
“That explains so much.”
“Welcome to the world you’ve been hidden from.” Remus clicked his tongue and handed Roman his phone. “I have named alarms set for you, and I have the numbers of the important people you might need to contact. I’ll give you a mini tour, and you can meet most of who I put in there.” He didn’t give Roman time to say anything else before turning and walking off.
“Let’s go, princey.” Virgil gestured with his head and followed Remus.
“Don’t call me that.” Roman crossed his arms, going with his brother and the man.
“Whatever you say, princey.” Virgil grinned as Roman glared at him.
“Good afternoon, Patton.” Remus greeted as he entered the kitchen.
“Good afternoon!” Patton greeted back with a bright, cheery smile. He was cleaning off a spot on the counter, Janus sitting on the other side and biting into a cookie. “I just finished a batch of cranberry walnut cookies. You have to try them.” Patton picked up a colorful plate of cookies and held it toward Remus.
“Thank you.” Remus took one of the cookies, and Virgil helped himself to one, too.
“You too.” Patton giggled, gesturing the plate closer to Roman.
“Oh, thanks.” Roman smiled and took one of the cookies, biting into it and perking up. “That’s really good.”
“Of course they are. Patton made them,” Janus stated, finishing up his cookie and happily taking another when Patton sat the plate back down beside him.
“I was going to put white chocolate in them, but I was worried that would make them too sweet.” Patton mused a little.
“What? The Patton Gold making something too sweet? Never.” Janus exaggerated his tone and chuckled when Patton playfully pushed his leg.
“Don’t be mean.” Patton scrunched his nose toward Janus.
“Patton’s in charge of the food. He helps make sure that everyone eats, and there’s always sweet treats.” Virgil explained.
“Never know when you need a blood sugar kick.” Patton gestured to a patch on his arm with another giggle. Roman made a soft oh, and Remus chuckled.
“He’ll help cook and make meals and can teach you some basics since he won’t always be able to cook for you,” Remus said and grabbed another cookie. “We’ll see you at dinner, Pat. Gonna make sure this one has an idea of the place first.”
“Does chicken alfredo sound good for dinner?” Patton asked.
“It sounds perfect.” Remus shot a finger gun at Patton as he walked past.
“Be sure to let me know of any food preferences whenever you get a chance,” Patton said to Roman.
“No problem.” Roman flashed a smile as he walked with Virgil behind Remus. He watched over his shoulder as Janus whispered something into Patton’s ear, and Patton giggled and nodded in agreement with whatever was told to him.
“You have Virgil, Patton, and Janus in your phone. You also have our resident bookkeeper in there as well. Mr. Logan Berry.” Remus opened the door to an office and strolled in as he spoke.
“I am much more than a bookkeeper, Remus.” Logan rolled his eyes, standing up from behind his desk and walking around it, going to Roman and holding out a hand, using his other to adjust his glasses. “You must be Roman Prince. I’ve heard lots about you.”
“And I haven’t heard a thing about you.” Roman awkwardly shook the hand and looked at Remus. “You just have a nerd locked away in here as well?”
“I assure you, alongside not just being a bookkeeper, I am also far beyond just a nerd,” Logan stated with a hint of annoyance.
“You always made what you and Dad do sound scary and dangerous, but you have a golden retriever chef and a scrawny nerd. Why are you so-” Roman stopped his spiel when Logan suddenly pulled out a gun and pressed the barrel to the center of his chest.
“Call me a nerd one more time, and I’ll be the one to prove how dangerous our business is.” Logan’s voice dropped into a low, threatening tone. The previous calm in his eyes hardened with anger.
“Remus.” Roman held his hands in the air and looked at his brother.
“Virgil, can you show Roman where his bedroom is?” Remus said.
“Sure. Come on, princey.” Virgil grabbed Roman’s arm and walked him out of the room.
“Oh! So I call someone a nerd and get a gun pulled on me, but you can continue to call me-” Roman’s complaint was cut off by Remus closing the door.
“I know I shouldn’t have threatened him, but I had a feeling he wouldn’t listen unless I proved a point,” Logan stated, tucking his gun back into the holster on his hip. “I can apologize-” Remus was cutting someone off again, but this time, it was by taking hold of Logan’s face and kissing him.
“You are so hot when you’re angry.” Remus chuckled, guiding Logan to step back and lean against the desk.
“I wasn’t angry, I was annoyed.”
“Still hot.”
“It is not-” Logan paused when he moved Remus’ hand and saw the state of his thumb. “-have you been chewing your fingers again?”
“Here we go.”
“How many times do I have to tell you about the germs on your hands? You’re going to get sick, and you become the biggest baby when you’re not feeling well. The last thing we need is-” Logan’s rant was stopped by another kiss.
“Scold me later. I still have you being hot in my head.” Remus took his hands away and moved them down to Logan’s thighs.
“I’m going…to scold you…so much…” Logan struggled to get his sentence out since Remus continued to kiss him throughout it.
“I look forward to it.” Remus grinned before gripping Logan’s thighs and lifting him onto the desk. Logan just rolled his eyes with a smile and chuckled into the next kiss.
