My Astro Observations (Part 6)

☁️Mars - Neptune aspects can make you clumsy. Mars rules the physical and Neptune tends to fog reality a bit so... you partly tend to lack the awareness of how your body moves most of the time.

👀People with water risings are prone to dark circles.

🌱I have noticed that individuals with capricorn placements loooove being plant parents. They love taking care of their plants and they enjoy getting to know little facts about them.

💘Venus in Aries people might have struggled with accepting love. At least once in their lives they have thought that "they are hard to love".

🤫Mars in 8th in synastry always manifests in either (or both) of these 2 ways: a) sexual relationship that occurs secretly. b) sexual relationship that is "taboo". I have observed this placement between people where one person is married / large gap relationships or simply two people who want to keep their sexual relations hidden for some reason.

👨Mars in Capricorn / 10th house... you just wish that you received an apology from your father or that he would give credit for your hard work.

Ask 2: Hey bpp, can i be honest?? Ive been checked out of the fandom but still keep track of any music releases. So i didnt know abt any rumors abt 7. Imagine me being kind of disappointed that it’s another english song from jk when i watched the mv😅 it feels like his most promoted songs since last year has been all eng song… idk i wanted & expted something diff… i didnt like l&r, dreamers and now 7… it’s back to back lol. Tbf i didnt like My You too and thats in korean. At least not enough to listen!again after the first listen.

Im happy that still with you is finally on spotify tho. I’ll still be waiting excited for his album whenever it comes out. Hopefully ill find something i like in it!!

All the hype didn't matched with the song

1. rest members songs had so much depth and substance to it while this was the cliche boy chasing a girl song. Like we always dont need deep songs but the quality could be so much better. This was like just another pop song.

I think I'll put this on same level as BAD DECISIONS. But for bad decisions, atleast the chorus was staying on my mind while for this nothing was catchy enough for us to humm. Just because it's JK it will get hype but otherwise it's so generic. I think I liked LEFT and RIGHT way better than Seven. Even the rap portion felt so unnecessary and boring.

2. MV was kinda nice because of the production but concept was too shallow, the stalking and chasing was so outdated. In my country we have like 9293928843837 MVs in this same concept that not many make the same theme songs again.

3. The choreography. We haven't seen the full version. But for tiktok they do the highlight portions if that's so mediocre idk how rest will be. It was again giving the same mediocre showing off choreography and for me backdancers ruined it with their awkward moves.

4. they wanted this song to be played everywhere around the world. But there was nothing catchy enough to attract gp or go viral on tiktok, even if we sped it up. The only way to make everyone listen is to shove it down their throat but doing payola. But idk if investing in payola is worthy for the song. I also doubt the longietivity, as for me it was boring after 2 listens. I'll rather listen Like Crazy or wildflower or closer 20 times than listening this once.

5. I HOPE he'll bring something fresh to the table for his album and don't involve this mediocre producers who uses the same formula and same superstar persona to make a song successful. He is so much talented to sing a song which is so rich in melody and lyrics. And he can produce way better songs by himself.

Prolly a 4/10 for me

Ask 4: troye sivan's rush (which also came out last night) is exactly what I wish Seven was. I don't mean that in a 'I expect the things JK to make to be gay' way just in the way it's a fun, very danceable, sexy summer song that doesn't pull its punches. Something about seven feels too run through a commercial sanitizer a few times, even with the explicit lyrics.

JK has been talking about wanting to show more mature and explicit sides of himself for a good long while now. So I’m glad he’s finally gotten to do that, confirming for us why he keeps getting noise complaints from his neighbours since the mattresses all over his apartment don't help.

BTS has made songs explicitly referring to sex before (though it's been mostly the rapline doing so). So it's nothing new but I guess it's cool JK gets to share with us that he too has sex.

The question I posed to my friends immediately after watching the MV is, “Do you know who's been doing A&R for BigHit since 2020? I really need to know who is doing A&R for BigHit in America because they’ve been doing an appalling job lately. I'm starting to wonder if it's an inside job cause this song is kinda ass.”

I’ve streamed Seven about 20 times since then I think, took a break from the song for a few hours, watched his GMA performance, caught a few minutes of the Wlive, then listened to it again just before writing this post and…

I still don’t like it.

Jungkook did a good job on the song, Latto's verse wasn't terrible, and while the song itself isn’t bad… the song isn’t good either.

It’s painfully, and at this point it’s a pattern so I have to add, predictably, mediocre.

Reserving judgement for the album, but Anons, I agree with you for the most part. The suits at BigHit are trying but they are woefully out of touch with the reasons BTS blew up in the West in the first place. I don't even feel like spending any energy doing a review or even trying to explain what I mean. So I'll just ramble on for a bit but try to keep it brief.

I have to give BigHit some credit because I can see what they're going for here. Andrew Watt is a very celebrated producer in the US, he won the Grammy award for Producer of the Year in 2021, he's got A listers in his portfolio. So, he's not a cheap name to book and I can see why the suits at BigHit thought he's the genius to gift them a song clinically designed for American radio.

But that pandejo phoned it in. There isn't a lick of creativity to be found anywhere in all 3 minutes and five seconds.

It reminds me of VIBE by Jimin and Taeyang, as the closest analog to the vague dissatisfaction morphing into annoyance and then pragmatic rationalization I experienced in that same sequence when listening to it the first few times.

The song is disappointing because we've all heard it before. Too many times, and we're bored of it. We've heard JK sing this sort of song for years, as covers mostly. So on one hand, while I guess it's nice JK gets to have an American summer JB-reject pop tune of his own, it's not good enough to be the track that introduces him to the world as a solo artist.

It's fine for any white, blonde, blue-eyed heartthrob that can ride on a pretty face and implicit bias to rack up accolades, it's not good enough for Jungkook.

And BigHit needs to start using whatever leverage a US$10.6 billion market capitalization buys you in Hollywood, to insist for songs that are at least as good as the songs made by BTS members and produced by their in-house team. It's a waste of money and everybody's time to fly a battalion to LA just to record 2014's summer hit in 2023.

In my opinion.

Still With You > Stay Alive > My Time > Stay > Left & Right > My You > Dreamers > Seven

All that said, I can't ignore JK has a taste for songs like this, and it's not his fault the song is shit (he didn't write, compose or produce it), so technically he shouldn't be punished for it. And the song is made for radio, while it's not my personal taste a lot of people really like the song (one of my friends likes Seven the most out of all the BTS releases so far), and it will catch on with some support. So, ARMY will support it including me, just to a lesser degree than I've done so far. Fingers crossed JJK1 has something solid on it.

Paul- He's the STAR of KISS. I probably wouldn't have gotten into KISS if it weren't for him. Everything I adore and want to be

Gene- I wanna listen to him talk while we share milk and chocolate chip cookies together

Peter- I have a soft spot for him. I think he can be really sweet and cute

Ace- Sexy, trashy, baby girl, sexy girl in hooker boots. Wanna bend over and smack that ass. He and Paul are my bisexual fantasies. BUT SERIOUSLY, The first guitar player that made me go WOW. Never got the hype about lead guitarists before but then I was thinking of 80s rock and 80's rock solos never resonated with me. His solos are iconic, not just shredding/mindless noodling. As someone who never learned how to read music, I think it's amazing he influenced many to learn. I'd love to learn how to play. Not to be in a band but I've always wanted to play a guitar. Also, I'd love to hang out with him. He's funny and bright. I think there's softness to him and I'd like to believe (coming from a fan, of course) that he's a good person. He also reminds me of my ex early 90s era....so I guess I have a soft spot for him

Eric C- I wish I could meet him. If I had to pick one member I could meet it would be him because I know he'd be super sweet

Vinnie- talented songwriter and amazing voice. Gorgeous

Mark- He did his job on Animalize

Bruce- Super sweet. He was the cutie of the group during revenge era ngl. Paul had competition.

Eric S- Seems really funny. got a nice tight body. seems every KISS drummer has a nice bod.

Tommy- Loyal and hard working. I can see why KISS kept him. Honestly he'd the kind of guy you want in your group.

7. What do you dislike about each member?

Gene- Condescending. I can see he has some views on things that I'd butt heads with him on

Paul- Overly critical of others, may come across cold. He scares me. y'all see his posts for new years???? He can come across very hurtful in his choice of words

Peter- Bitter (in the past it seems) and tbh some of the shit I read and heard that unfortunately was allowed to slide (sometimes even passed off as "funny" stories). It's a sensitive topic for me.

Ace- like Peter, awful things said and done that cannot be solely blamed on addiction which I'm very glad he recovered from btw. I'm honestly glad I never put this man on a pedestal and it's not just because "he's human like the rest of us". lol I love him but I'm glad I've been exposed to the bad early on this obsession so I don't have any unrealistic ideas about ppl, you know? I think I need to sleep with him to sort out these feelings lol

Eric C- I don't know that much to comment and feels almost unfair because he was taken away from us much too soon

Vinnie- stop scamming people omg. the insanity and charging ppl for memberships and you haven't released shit???

They did their job. If they hadn't stepped in I wouldn't have seen KISS final show and for that I am grateful. I enjoyed their participation.

I'd ask if I could suck their dick. That's tough. What haven't they've been asked before? Honestly I got some questions for Ace that's been bugging me and I know I'd never get them answered unless I knew him personally and had a real heart-to-heart conversion. I dunno I can only go off from a fan's perspective about how that'll go

Maybe I'd love to hang with Peter now. Gene, may be fun. He's a good talker. Though it be fun to get one-on-one time with Ace. I'd love a tour of all his tech and then we can compare and just geek out on technology.

20. How would you explain the band to someone who isn't familiar with KISS?

I don't know. Honestly the other people who answered this already gave greats explanations. So many pass judgment on them without giving them a chance. They're a one-of-a-kind experience. There will never be a band like them.

I feel like talking about music. I'm gonna post 7 albums that describe me. Shit that shaped my worldview, reflects my aesthetics, and all that other stuff. Puttin it under read more so no one's dash gets clogged.

ZUU - DENZEL CURRY.

I'm a huge fan of southern Hip Hop. It's dense and eclectic and always so full of life and culture, everything from Andre 3000's thick Atlanta twang on Intl Players Anthem to DJ Paul's production on any given Three 6 Mafia project, it's just my shit. It all speaks to the state of living in the south and has made so much impact on the broader state of Hip Hop. especially in the modern day.

This album feels....so personal. Like coming back home and meeting up with an old friend and realizing you both still know that secret handshake you made up in middle school, or watching the emotional climax of a coming of age movie. I was as wild as I was loving in my youth, so tracks like Ricky and Speedboat and Shake 88 which reference everything from getting in fights in your high school Dickies and football hoodies to escaping hood life to spitting bars about neighborhood bad bitches. It just speaks to me and my experiences, It's always good to know there are other black dudes out there writing love letters and cautionary tales about the violent environments and close knit & loving cultures that surrounded them in their youths spent below the bible belt. I wish I'd had this album when I was 17.

2. VIVA LA COBRA - COBRA STARSHIP

I've been listening to Cobra Starship since I was about 15, and this album has never left my all time greats. It's so fucking fun, like an 18 year old stole his dad's credit card and drove up with his friends to hang in NYC with fake IDs. The bragging, slightly macho, slightly cynical, fun but not too stupid persona Gabe Saporta personifies on this album speaks to me so deeply and shaped me into the man I am today. He has the cynicism and self aware, sarcastic edge that only a former Punk making dance music could have.

3. THREE DAYS GRACE - THREE DAYS GRACE.

Around the age of 13 I was carrying a massive weight; some of it was dysphoria, some of it was internalized racism, some of it was just plain average shit that comes with the territory of being a child under capitalist patriarchy. I felt lost and misunderstood, until I found this album completely by accident. Tracks like Home and Drown spoke to my experiences with abuse and the intense bouts of willpower and self sufficiency that I knew I was capable of but didn't have the courage to act on. I'd put these songs on in my room and drift away, all the pressures my parents and friends and school had put on me just washing away. It was loud and raw and angry and fueled the newfound passion and teen rebellion that would make up the majority of my teens and shape my worldview in adulthood.

4. RUN THE JEWELS 2 - RUN THE JEWELS

The aggressive machismo on this album and the general fuckboy-isms of it all speak to me. Bars like "you want a whore in a white dress, I want a wife with a thong" and verses like "I got that dick in her mouth all day" are just standouts. Just laying everything out, speaking your mind, holding back no punches. The album also weaves in tracks about police brutality, class warfare, and the harsh reality of being pushed to do things you aren't proud of to make ends meet (Killer Mike has a bar about having to sell cocaine to a pregnant woman, and another about his wife being shot by police in front of his son.) I honestly can't see who wouldn't be changed after listening to this, or at least feel seen. It's a no skip banger from beginning to end, if you really wanna understand the essence of Jared, this is it.

5. SOUL GLO - DIASPORA PROBLEMS

Growing up a black kid who liked rock music was extremely taboo, back in the day. It earned you some level of alienation in both black and white dominated spaces. I'd always felt in between worlds; The gritty realism of Hip Hop spoke to me just as the maniacal, commanding essence of Rock and Metal did, and it seemed neither party wanted much to do with me.

Imagine my excitement in 2022 when I find out about Soul Glo, an all black Punk band from my town, who frequently scream their hearts out about everything from police brutality to fake friends to feeling ostracization and tokenization as a black Punk band, with absurd humor and such intense display of vulnerability unlike anything I'd seen before. Finally, I thought, a band that understands me. A band for guys like me.

6. MOBB DEEP - THE INFAMOUS

I got way too high on acid while solo tripping last year and spent a lot of that trip freaking the fuck out. Doom Metal was too much, looking in the mirror was too much, watching tv was too much, everything was just too fucking much.

Except for this record.

This record saved my life and got me into Rap music again. I've cried to it as many times as I've lifted and shaken my ass to it. Though I've never been involved in the street life-- especially not to the degree that Havoc and Prodigy lay claim to-- I grew up privy to it. My environment was incredibly violent. A lot of moralizing by mass media and white people of all backgrounds was lost on me; my father sold drugs to keep me fed and to put Christmas presents under the table, and he'd brought a couple of sex workers into the mix as well (all of whom were incredibly kind women), I felt if anything or anyone was failing, it was the justice system that put guys in these positions.

This album is fucking ruthless. The Jazz and Boom Bap elements add depth to it that I can't really say any other Jazz or Boom Bap rap album has done the same way since. It's also incredibly vulnerable at times. These guys have more nuance and versatility than any other rapper of their time, and it speaks to me as a black dude of working background and experience.

7. THE SLIM SHADY LP - EMINEM

Anyone who's followed me for more than a day knows how much I love Eminem. I think he's witty, charming, funny, and a really down to Earth dude, which probably sounds insane considering the amount of violence and bigotry he spews on the mic at any given time.

This album practically shaped my life and the way I internalize other people's opinions of me. As a kid, I grew up with a pretty abusive mom, and as such always felt the need to apologize or shrink in on myself just for existing. I hadn't really learned how to nurture the spirit until Eminem. The rage, the insanity, and the violence, was all a sheen for an album that truly told a story of how to power through life only trusting yourself and a few other insane, close friends, but most importantly to not let anything get you down and to simply not give a fuck (and to tell anyone who insists otherwise to get on their knees and suck it). The guy spoke real shit and had the credentials to prove it, he knew what he was about and made his dreams a reality, and that was awesome to me.

September Sky Chapter Seven, Part 5

"Chris!" Alana shouted at me. "Fuck. Some things never change." She laughed.

"Huh? What? Sorry." I came back to real time, and took a drink of now flat beer.

"So where were you this time?" Alana asked. She asked that question every time she pulled me out of my horrible disassociation. It was her response since high school.

"I'm not sure." I replied back.

"What have you been up to? I haven't really talked to you since you moved out of Oconomowoc."

"Nothing much. Work, and back home."

"I thought you were in school?"

"Nah, I dropped out. Not really the place for me."

"I figured you'd be one to finish it off. Just out of spite, you know?" Alana said, referring to my adolescent urge to shove things in people's faces. And a lot of people told teenage me I'd never amount to much.

"Too many people to deal with. And it was for a useless degree. English Majors always end up teaching. And fuck that." I laughed a little at myself.

"Yeah, but I mean, if your still writing, that degree would look good." Alana poured the last of the pitcher into her cup.

"Don't need a degree to write." I felt I'd had this conversation before. Not long ago. With Erin. I pointed at the empty pitcher, "Next one's on me." I grabbed the pitcher and headed up to the quickly filling bar.

It took a minute but eventually the bartender saw me standing with an empty pitcher. She made her way over, avoiding the two other people behind the bar.

"Refill?" She asked, with a voice that sounded like bubblegum. She was short, at least shorter than me, with dirty blonde hair, pulled into a high pony.

"Whatever those two were drinking," I pointed back to the table.

"I have no idea what that was." She gave me a look of annoyance.

"Fuck it, whatever works." I shrugged. She took the pitcher and walked away towards the taps. I didn't see what she filled it with though. Hey, nobody told me anything so that's what they get.

"Six bucks." She said, placing the plastic container in front of me. I gave her a ten and headed back towards the table.

Chad and Alana were in some kind of animated conversation as I sat down. They did this a lot. Over the past couple years, they had gotten to be pretty close. I poured myself a drink and went back to studying my surroundings.

"I like your shirt," Emma must've finally gotten bored.

"What?" I asked, my brain lagging. I looked down to see what shirt I was even wearing. It was an old "Gummo" t-shirt. A favorite of my pretentious persona.

"Your shirt. It's a good movie." She said. Her voice was quiet and kind of hard to hear with the commotion of an early evening bar crowd. I actually took a look at her. And mousey was still the best way to describe her. She looked small and fragile. It didn't help she was wearing an over sized hoodie that just enveloped her.

"Oh yeah, thanks. It's one of my favorite movies of all time." That's really one of the easiest ways to get an introverted anti-social person to talk. Find their favorite things. Movies and music. Done.

"We watched it in my film studies class." She seemed to speak a little louder. It was easier to hear at least. Maybe I had just tuned into her voice now.

"Oh shit. I might've stuck it out longer if we were gonna watch actual good movies." I laughed.

"You were in film studies?"

Ok you know what i just gotta write out my feelings on the new Miraculous movie. I have both good and bad things to say. I will be rewatching it cause i was pretty biased (we'll get to that) and maybe reposting this with my new thoughts afterwards cause this is a lot.

THUS: READ MORE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION and understand that most of this is based on personal perception, preferences, and an element of nostalgia/frustration (ive been watching this show since season one, would not have made it this far if I didnt have FEELINGS about Miraculous). but take everything with a sprinkle of salt.

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS ABOUT THE NEW MIRACULOUS MOVIE UNDER THE CUT

1. Pacing felt like the biggest issue. A lot of stuff was happening, and a lot of big moments were happening, but there was nothing inbetween that made them feel like they flowed into eachother, and a lot of the character/relationship "development" relied on the viewers previous knowledge of the show, even tho its pretty clear the movie was doing stuff very differently in terms of characters and relationships. Do i understand this is a 1hr 40min movie trying to encapsulate the slowburn romance and 5 seasons worth of content in a way that caters to the fans of said 5 seasons? Yes, its a huge ask for what is essentially 5 episodes (average 20 mins long). Especially with the amount of exposition the concept of Miraculous requires. Is it still disappointing, considering the movie left out information because of its audience and still rushed through important stuff to just get to the "juicy" moments? Yeah

2. Visuals were lovely, as was the music and specific moments. Honestly if the pacing wasnt such an issue and everything was developed more, the Ladybug and Ladynoir songs (maybe even the Hawkmoth one too) would be really enjoyable as a way to progress stuff and show development. Im also a sucker for dramatic visuals during musical numbers to help emphasize the feelings/emotions of the characters, and it really showcases the potential benefits the animation could add to the show as a medium

3. I actually really liked movie!Marinette (partly cause she wasnt a stalker and creep about her crush on Adrien) qnd because she had a much more sarcastic and bantering attitude, even outside of the costume, which made Ladybug an alter ego more than a complete other person (which is a slight issue ive had with the show). The scene of her growing into her civilian persona and becomign more confident actually made me really happy, especially her standing up to Chloe

4. Movie!Chat Noir kinda pissed me off ngl, and felt very disconnected from movie!Adrien (or at least how he was shown). People have said movie!Adrien is much more depressed/isolated and acts appropriately as to his home life (and dont get me wrong, i loved his scene where he stood up to Gabriel), but i think thats why his relationship with Ladybug and complete 180 as Chat Noir feels so off to me? Like his almost "meanness" with Ladybug at first from being super cocky and then doesnt even apologize for his treatment of her even after he falls for her just throws me off (tbf ive always been biased against the "cocky assholes falling for people who put them in their place" trope, so this might just be a me thing). Idk, it just doesnt sit right with me

4b. Anyone else notice Adrien didnt even get chosen for being kind? Plagg just appeared in his bedroom? Like Marinette almost got ran over from saving Master Fu and then Adrien is just like Yo A Cool Ring. Idk, its funny but that felt weird to me

5. The stupid freaking montage. Yall cannot even imagine how much I hate the montage. If they had replaced the montage with one scene and maybe cut down the magician and mime fight to add another scene in to focus on marinette + adrien friendship and then adrien personal life development or chat noir + ladybug bonding/respect for EACH OTHER i think it would have elevated the movie to new heights. The montage essentially was the movie pressing fast forward x3 on any development of characters. Its because of montages like these that make me appreciate filler or fun episodes in any show, because when you just stick a montage in then you feel like youre watching coworkers kiss when the movie is trying to convince you theyre starcrossed ride or die lovers. Made me feel like i watched the origins episode and then the season 5 finale with just the stormy weather 2 episode inbetween. Hate it.

6. Movie!Tikki has personality and movie!Plagg is a fart machine. I think its clear theres a favorite. Feels like it reflects the focus on Marinette and lack thereof on Adrien as a character present in both the show and the movie. Hardly a new observation, just food for thought.

7. ¿¿¿¿¿¿movie!Hawkmoth/Gabriel???? That basically sums up how I feel about him but to explain theres just very little done with him i feel. Plus it seems like all his Hawkmothing around actually takes a toll on his wellbeing, which is really cool and interesting, but it just comes out of nowhere afTER THE STUPID MONTAGE. Like id love to see the kind of degradation of his health, mental physical and emotional, as he works to revive Emilie, cause you cant tell me thay wouldnt make stuff a lot more interesting (i know he got catacylsmed but the show just treated it as an outfit change and checking his arm like a clock until the season finale, so it doesnt really count for me), but mans just shows up looking like a wreck and fights with Adrien

7b. Also i was pretty confused about how him breaking/rejecting his akuma at the end of the movie worked, and him just having all the powers ever while akumatized?? But that's just me being picky at a superhero show where magic animal jewelry exists

8. Movie!Chloe and movie!Sabrina felt more real in a way? Like Chloe was just stuck up and self centered, not actively making everyones life hell, and Sabrina didnt just blindly follow her along (i ADORED when she let Marinette escape and when she shrugged at her during the ball, you go girl you have that personality and self-consciousness the show never allowed you to have until the last moment), it was more a reluctant follower ignoring a friend's red flags ya know? Movie!Chloe wasnt the mayors daughter who had control over every adult in Paris and would literally become a dictator if elected. She was just freaking out at Marinette for "ruining" her sweater. Shes still a bully/mean kid, but shes dialed back, which i think makes her much better.

9. Alya and Nino were just kind of chilling, i dont have any feelings about their characters except how terrible Nino is at advice, and Alya was set up as a good friend throughout the movie, so i appreciate her supportiveness of Marinette. Tom and Sabine were set up to do more/be more important in the movie (I was so sure Tom was gonna be akumatized at the fair, but nope), but were kind of dropped halfway? Like Tom was set up as the overprotective and loving kinda helicopter father who would go all the way to the fair in disguise to watch over Marinette, and then he was just never mentioned again after Marinette felt embarrassed by him at said fair. Wasted opportunity and time for a movie with so much issue in pacing

10. I saw buggachat say this movie felt like an animated fanfiction of MLB and I have to say i completely agree. I dont mean that in a bad way, i love fanfiction with all my heart and you can clearly see that the movie and a lot of fanfiction fixes the issues many fans have with the show. But the thing is, this is a full movie, not a collection of one-shot specific scene rewrites. Thus, for it to be successful in "rewriting" or creating an alternate version of MLB, it has to include those in-between moments, not just the juicy identity reveal, or the "my heart belongs to another " moment, or even the "Gabriel actually cares about his son" moment. Is the movie good at those moments? Goodness yes. It definitely has its humor, its enjoyment that you can tell is a gift to the fans. But as a movie, a whole animated film, it disappoints.

10b. I mean for goodness sake they didnt even mention that Catacylsm was a thing until it was used, and Lucky Charm wasnt utilzed at all, just the fixing power (that might just be a genuine change they made so Ladybug wasnt too unbalanced with Chat Noir tho)

OK IM DONE, phew. Those are my major thoughts from the day after watching the movie, and im going to watch it again more carefully later. Ill not to be so personally biased and to just enjoy it. Who knows, maybe ill think differently afterwards.

Definitely gonna listen to the songs again, and definitely gonna burst out laughing at Careless Whisper tho

Ok I’ve had like 24 hours to digest the ending of P3 so I’m here to dump my thoughts. Full disclosure this is going to have a ton of spoilers for Persona 3 Reload!!

The party members were good, I didn’t like them as much as 5 but I do prefer them over 4.

I was kind of annoyed to learn that Chidori could be saved, because the whole thing is easy to miss. I also think the whole idea of her coming back alive and not remembering anything about the Dark Hour or her persona is kind of… lame. It’s just a very convenient way to wrap up her storyline. I did like Junpei’s growth, though, and she obviously contributes to that. Their personas merging when she dies is really… bittersweet.

Speaking of character deaths… Shinjiro??? Hello??? Absolute shock, I was not expecting to lose a party member. Can’t believe they got me to instantly ship Shinjiro and Akihiko just to have Shinji die in Aki’s arms.

And bringing up both Chidori and Shinjiro’s death, let’s talk about Strega. Jin is overall pretty plain, I don’t have much to say to him either way. Takaya, on the other hand, I have so much to say. Full disclosure, I started calling him “Jesus” as soon as I saw him, which I mean… makes sense with the theme of the game. He’s a good, creepy, culty villain and he does it well. My only issue with him (aside from like, obviously disliking him because he’s the villain and a murderer and stuff), is his design. I absolutely hate that he is always shirtless, it is super uncomfortable and weird (which is presumably the point, but still it gives me the ick).

I enjoyed most of the social links, overall. I didn’t really like Kenji and his whole dating a teacher thing, but his link did get better once he was dumped.

I was also kind of irked by Nozomi because his character and the writing is… pretty fat-shamey, but my main problem was the way his storyline feels incomplete. We learn he was in a cult but don’t ever really learn directly what they were about.

I maxed out all but two social links. Chihiro was left at rank 9 and Kazushi at rank 6. I consider that a pretty solid attempt at maxing for a first run.

I knew this going in (one of the few things I knew about the game before playing) that the male party members did not have social links. It’s still a bummer though, because I would have liked to spend more time with them and see them developed outside of the main plot.

And speaking of main plot. I did actually like the pseudo-science involved in the Dark Hour’s creation, I thought it was kind of neat to have a sort-of explanation for how the world with shadows came about (at least for this game).

The way I lost my mind when it was revealed that Ryoji was death… damn. It was a little predictable, because something was obviously weird with him but I was not expecting it to be that weird!

The whole end of the world final showdown is pretty standard JRPG stuff, so I don’t really have much to say on that plot point, but I have to admit I don’t really like the ending.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the idea of the protagonist sacrificing themselves is fine, even if it’s emotionally charged, I respect that as an ending. I’m more irked by the idea that the protagonist basically fought to survive a few months in order to fulfill his promise to meet the team on the school roof, just to die right before they all arrive (excluding Aigis). It feels like the ending doesn’t really give closure, to see SEES happy together after their success or alternatively have them grapple with the loss of their leader and friend.

Overall, I thought the gameplay was fun. Theurgy adds an extra little boost to your character’s strengths which was nice and helpful in speeding up some of the full moon boss battles (and cheesing the Reaper). People (and cats) getting lost in Tartarus adds an extra reason to explore Tartarus along with Elizabeth’s requests, making extra trips to Tartarus worth doing.

The music is fantastic, of course. Bangers all around, and I don’t think this needs any additional explanation.

So here’s my final thoughts/stats for the time being—I’ll be back to 100% it soon:

Hiiiiii ! could I get a romantic marauders era and lighting era harry potter matchup?

i just turned 19. I’m bi with a lean towards males. Im black. I have brown black eyes, i have mid back EXTREMELY curly black hair but my natural hair is shoulder length and brown. Sometimes(rarely) I wear black circular glasses. im 5' 3” almost 5’ 4”. I’m not plus but I’m not thin either and I’m natural hourglass. Barely noticeable tho.

i'm ambiaverted, so like I like talking to people but I don’t like approaching the person and then I’m pretty awkward when I talk to people for the first time. When I’m with my friends I’m the loudest in the group unless I’m annoyed or just don’t like you very much. In public tho I don’t talk at all if I don’t know anybody.

Im academically smart and a bit street smart if I really think but I’m also really lazy when. I want to be. People tell me I’m a really fast learner.

I’m very loyal to my friends to the point were I end up getting myself into deep trouble. Most of my fiends are loud and spontaneous, but calm when need be while I’m calm most of the time but can be loud when I feel like it.

i play cello and love singing. My music taste is all over the place and I pretty much will listen to anything if it sounds good imo. . i love painting and drawing. my love languages are physical touch, words of affirmation, and time.

I have HUGE self image problems and insecurities, both physical, emotional, and mental. I’m really insecure about pretty much everything I do.

I have a verrrry large family. When I mean large I mean fourteen aunts and uncles, family members living in all seven continents, five half siblings, siblings I haven’t even met (my family is weird), my family tree is probably intewined with at least five other trees, etc. but i grew up with just my mom so I’ve always been kinda lonely and felt unwanted.

🐾 You had thought after that party that maybe you had embarrassed yourself to the point that Sirius would never speak to you ever again, but he surprised you again by stopping you in the hall when you were on your way to class; you couldn't even believe your luck when he asked if you wanted to go to Hogsmeade with him

🐾 You were a bit worried that Sirius was only talking to you because of his... Playboy persona, that he wanted to add you to his list, but when Sirius took you out on that Hogsmeade date... You felt incredibly special

🐾 Sirius took you to that tea shop where you spoke about your favorite classes, professors, hobbies, and such; that's when Sirius confessed, somewhat awkwardly, that he wanted to ask you out for a while, ever since third year

🐾 It didn't take long for the two of you to start dating, and Sirius just loved to show you off, by the end of the month, everyone in Hogwarts knew you were an item

🐾 After graduating from the magical school, both you and Sirius were able to find a nice quiet cottage in the forest where you and Sirius spent the next couple of years; your time together was spent painting, practicing your cello Sirius had gotten you, and hanging out with the fellow Marauders

🐾 Sirius always makes sure that you know that he loves you, everyday he would tell you how much he admired and adored you, how wonderful and beautiful you are; he'd shout it on the top of your cottage roof if he had to, (and he would, Sirius wants the whole world to know how much he loves you)

🐾 You were so happy that you went to that party with your friends, and you were so happy that Sirius came up to you; you love Sirius so much and you can not wait for the years to come

🃏 You met Fred when you curiously wandered into his and his twin brother's shop one morning, your curiosity got the best of you and you had to know what was inside

🃏 While you were browsing, a tall red-head popped up beside you asking if you were looking for anything specific and/or needed any help

🃏 You felt a bit awkward, slightly flustered as you told him you were just looking and the young man gave you a smile, before offering you his hand to shake; he introduced himself as Fred Weasley

🃏 At the name, you realized you knew who he was, you had been a year older than him in Hogwarts, seeing him with his twin going around pranking professors and peers alike

🃏 For the next week or so, you gained the courage to come back to the shop, even though you never purchased anything, you merely came to see the eldest twin

🃏 You were surprised when Fred offered you a job at the joke shop, and you decided to take it, finding that your job was an easy one, restocking shelves; it also gave you more time with Fred

🃏 After a while, Fred asked if you wanted to go to dinner with him, to which you were a bit hesitant, as you were his employee after all; Fred had the same worries, noticing your hesitance, telling you that it was alright if you didn't want to go

🃏 You really liked Fred a lot, so the next day at work, after the children and skeptical parents left, you nervously asked Fred out to dinner; you could still remember the smile on his face and the way his cheeks and eye lit up

🃏 Dinner was amazing, eating at a small restaurant near the shop, you and Fred spoke about everything and anything, and Fred was happy to see you open up; he fondly admired the smile on your face and your sweet laugh as he retold a prank of his and his twin's

🃏 Fred cares deeply for you, making sure you are alright mentally and physically, and if you aren't be prepared to be bombarded with a lot of hugs, sweet words whispered in your ear, and all the time with him in the world

SFW: Not a request or anything, but just came to me! Shy Brassius! He seems to be a man who enjoys the arts and while he displays Dom energy (*cough cough* Vine Whip Daddy- *cough*) and mans hella physically strong (he jumped OFF a mindmill! That's gotta be two stories at least.)

So he's probably used to the attention he gets from those alone on top of being a popular gym leader, but I can't help but think he's more the quiet type behind closed doors. Listening to music, painting, liking quiet things like that outside of gym leader duties, it's why he doesn't get into many relationships, because he's self conscious about not meeting people's expectations of him. That's why when he enters a relationship he's always shy and sometimes uncertain about things always being polite when making physical contact and asking if they're really ok with what he truly is rather than the celeb front he puts up.

This mans cries of happiness knowing how much his lover truly loves him and spend many cuddles doing so.

Statements - Loreen

Both the original and the acoustic version are amazing and what keeps me going at times. For me the lyrics is very personal, and working in a high-stake job with no room for mistakes where there is an unavoidable competitive element us coworkers (and roommates!) in between, well… it’s… interesting, to say the least. This song is like that softest blanket in the house that you hide under to relax after a long day.

I adore the performance with the dancers representing Loreen at different stages in her life, and the part in the bridge with the old lady lifting her up… yeah. It is both comforting and hurts in the best ways okay. Sadly the performance was too dark and a bit to politically loaded for the general public to vote for so she didn’t make it to the finals in Mello that year.

Also yes I’m cheating Tattoo and Neon Lights are two of her many other songs that give me life. Tattoo is just visual heaven and Neon Lights is another comfort song. (The song is about this comfort persona that Loreen herself sometimes needs / wishes she was) Honestly if you are in need of comfort vibe songs check out all the music she’s made. And the music videos are always worth watching.

Lost Again - Kings Elliot

Such a vibe. All the lyrics is so painfully spot on. Another artist worth checking out bc wow. I have the very bad habit to shut down my emotions but those songs make you feel stuff and are a great way to let some of that steam out.

Rainbow Connection - Sleeping at Last

Sleeping at Last is one of the artists I especially listen to when I’m sensory overloaded. The way the different sounds are combined makes my brain focus on hearing the details which can help me to calm down and stop myself from spiralling into a meltdown.

Girls - Marina

Sometimes you need to get some irritation out okay. And I cannot stand being around people who regularly have that “mean girls” behaviour. It drives me crazy.

Are you satisfied?, Oh No, Solitaire, Happy Loner and you know what? Check out her songs as well. The lyrics are always so spot on. She’s one of the artists I’ve listened to basically forever, and her music still feels so relevant and personal.

Fiction Feels Good - Loreen

Yes she gets one more bullet point okay. This one is made based on her three Mello entries (til that point). And yes. Once again. It’s the lyrics that gets me. The Arabic influence is an homage to her Moroccan culture, and I don’t know why but the feeling I get from all of it combined is comforting.
