The most delicious tangerines are the ones you pick from the branch with your own hands! And how beautiful they are... ripening just before Christmas, by the end of January, they've already fallen into the winter grass, unless, of course, their assiduous owners packed them away in boxes before then.
Here is a picture my sister took when she was visiting Batumi, Georgia. Do you like to travel? When was the last time you traveled?
🛫🛬
If I don't count my regular trips to Berlin or my trips back home to Finland, then the last time I traveled was in November. I went to Canada for two weeks and also took a day trip across the border to North Dakota, USA.
A minute of botany.
Camphor tree or camphor laurel is one of the evergreen trees growing on the streets of Batumi. We love the bizarre shapes of their trunks and their fantastic growth rate. (before our eyes, small seedlings turned into small trees in a year and a half).
