HELP BRAZIL
So this is a serious post! Brazil's south is currently facing one of the worst natural disasters in its history - a flood that has so far affected the lives of almost 1.5 MILLION people [x] and has shown no signs of slowing down.
Tumblr media
How can you help?
There are two ways - donate money and share this post! Brazilian currency (the Real) is really cheap compared to euro, dollars and pounds, so 5 dollars is enough for two whole meals. By donating 5 dollars, you can make sure someone will eat lunch and dinner tomorrow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Where to donate?
A lot of organizations are accepting international currency! I'll drop a link of some! A lot of people are currently out of their homes and living in shelters, while others need to be rescued! Those funds will go directly to people and organizations feeding, housing and rescuing them!
MTST, a left wing organization that has been feeding and housing people for decades, is making free meals for the victims! 5 dollars are enough for 2 whole meals! PayPal Here!
CUFA, another left wing organization that has been helping people in favelas/slums all over the country, who are helping with food, water and clothes! PayPal: [email protected]
HUMUS, an organization dedicated to help victims of natural disasters! They have a lot of volunteers firefighters helping with rescues! Donations Here (they accept PayPal and credit card).
Animal Disaster Response Group, an organization helping rescue and shelter pets and other animals! Most shelters aren't taking pets, so people were forced to leave theirs behind during the flood, and this org is doing its best to save them all! PayPal here and Credit card here!
Luz Alliance Fund, a charity organization run by brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen, has been alocating the funds to where hey are most needed. Donations here (dollars only)
My own Ko-fi. I'll be personally buying drinkable water, food and other items and dropping at the donation stations at my university. I understand that you might feel safer donating to a known organization, but if you prefer trusting me, I'll update photos on my Ko-fi of the donated items! Link here!
AND AGAIN! Remember that dropping 5 dollars anywhere can really help someone! And even if you cannot donate, PLEASE share, so more people can see this and help! The situation is very dire and has no sign of stopping anytime soon, those people will need all the help they can get!
Thank you!!

Brazil’s Landless Workers Movement (MST) donated two tones of food to Gaza, including rice, milk and sugar.
The Brazilian government sent a Brazilian Air Force plane to transport the food.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MST says they hope to have donated a 100 ton by the end of the week.

Tried grayscale for the first time, might start using this technique more often
Tentei grayscale pela primeira vez, talvez faça isso mais vezes
And here are some headcanons:
I can't help but think Fell sans would be a "flamenguista" because of his color palette 💀
(Brazil lore: "Flamenguista" is someone who supports/cheers for "Flamengo", "Flamengo" is a famous Brazilian football team which is known for using black and red)
Yes, I know its dumb, but for me its so funny and beautiful because everytime I look at him it starts playing "Pra cima deles flamengo (em dezembro de 81...) " in my head, which is a football parody from the music "Primeiros erros" and this is so hilarious for me for literally no reason help 😭😭😭😭
Tumblr media
(Brazil lore part 2: The shirt he is wearing is from the "flamengo" team)

Help out the people of Rio Grande do Sul!!
If you care about anything I've posted hear me out
You need to know what's going on in Rio Grande do Sul
They're going through an unprecented crisis due to immense flooding. THIS IS NOT A ROUTINE OR NORMAL THING TO HAPPEN THERE!
People's houses are literally floating away. Animals are drowning. People are getting terribly hurt and being left completely homeless out of the blue
One day they were living normal lives, the next the sudden flood either took everything away or left them stranded in what suddenly became an island surrounded by rubble-filled water
From what I've heard the Rios Grande do Sul state also suffered immense flooding last year and some were just now getting stable again after that, and in cane a flooding up to three times worse
The water is still going up. It is not stopping. The situation is getting worse
They're being left resource-less and incommunicated and from what I've heard this isn't even getting proper coverage within Brazil itself
Please listen to the actual Brazilians, I wanna help them out but I'm not Brazilian myself. Look up Rio Grande do Sul, see what's going on, see if you can donate to help them out
I'll provide some links to video coverage of the situation because

If you speak portuguese, thus video covers the current and last year's situation well as well as speaking on the lack of proper media coverage

hi, it's me again.
i'm here to talk and beg for you guys to do a favor or just read this post carefully.
a few hours ago i posted a thread on twitter explaining what's happening in brazil with the indigenous tribe "Yanomami".
for those who don't know, i am a brazilian person and this is an extremely sad and cruel thing to hear coming from my country and the people who were here first.
i'd like to ask you guys to at least skim over this thread i made, there's a lot of information including petitions and articles.
(sometimes the link doesn't work so you can just search @swftspX on twitter, the thread is pinned)
you don't have to follow me or like any other posts of mine. just PLEASE. read this.
if you don't want to, i'd like for you to at least see what's happening with the Yanomami people and i'll put some links.
this is them. they're currently suffering from starvation and the brazilian court has openly discussed the fact that the Yanomami people are suffering a genocide due to illegal mining explorations. there has been reports of sexual assault with little kids, miners offering food and gold in exchange of sex with minors and/or their mothers. people dying from diseases since there's barely clean water on their territory and overall it's been hell in there. this happened while Bolsonaro was in command and now they're STILL suffering.
PLEASE. don't let my people die.

BRAZIL NEEDS HELP! RIO GRANDE DO SUL NEEDS HELP!
First of all, my English is terrible, so I apologize for the translation error.
I know I have very little engagement here, I hardly post anything but the situation is serious. I'm Brazilian and our country is going through a difficult time, the state of Rio Grande do Sul is suffering from major floods, people are losing their homes, Domestic animals are being abandoned, children are being found dead under the roof tiles of their homes... There is a lack of water, food, hygiene products, food for cats and dogs... The government so far is doing what it can, but the main help comes from fundraisers and donations, the entire country is mobilizing for these people's lives, But the situation is worse than we imagine.
I will try to find articles explaining the situation better and links with instructions on how to help, but only if you repost or try to find out more about our situation will help A LOT.
BRAZIL NEEDS HELP! RIO GRANDE DO SUL NEEDS HELP!

I know this is gonna be mushy and overly emotional and I'm sorry for oversharing a bit, but I feel like it's necessary to put into words what rewatching We're All Doomed means to me personally. I watched the kiswe premiere event live and it was one of the most fun nights I've had in a while, even though my life felt extremely hopeless at the time.
And, look, here's the thing: when the WAD premiere dropped, I had completely given up on improving things. In fact, I was very much in the 'doomed' mentality. I had long accepted that there was no way my life would get better. So Dan's message really resonated with me: it's easy to settle for being at rock bottom and thinking that's all there is for me. I was happy to see Dan doing better, but deep down I didn't truly believe his words either, not really. I did want to, but I wasn't quite there. And I don't believe them all the time, as he himself said he doesn't, and doing the show many times hammers the point home into his head.
After experiencing it, I thought maybe, just maybe, I could stop only embracing the void, but start having the courage to exist as well. Putting myself out there more, trying to make a world for myself in which I'm not the :/ emoji all the time. So I applied for the jobs, I wrote what I wanted, I unapologetically embraced the nerdy things and the fandoms I enjoyed. I decided I can choose happiness in the smallest of ways, even when it sounds silly and unimportant. Because it isn't unimportant really if it means something to me.
Rewatching the show last night showed me how much it changed my life and the big leaps it helped me take in life. I have so much more to learn, but I keep telling myself to be brave (lmao sorry had to sneak the Phil reference) and have the courage to exist. Really truly exist out in the world, not hidden inside my room. And sure, some days are harder than the others, some days I really don't like myself at all. Even in those days, though, I tell myself: all I have to do is have the courage to exist.
I went in to watch WAD with no expectations, and I feel like the message of appreciating the little moments was so monumental, it truly absolutely had a huge impact in my own life. I have a job now, and some financial stability. To be honest, I never thought I'd get this job, I might not even have applied if I wasn't in this mindset. In so many ways, Dan and Phil have profoundly changed my life, and I think WAD is just one of those big examples.
I doubt the real humans Dan and Phil will ever understand the impact they've had on this world, but I'll forever wish them the best. I'll always support them, because their creations have irrevocably changed me as a person, and as much as I like joking around and stuff, I'm just thankful that we share this existence, and we get to have fun and be forever changed by it.
Thanks @danielhowell, you'll never know how huge the impact of this show was, but I am truly crying writing this and I hope one day I get to tell you in person how much you inspired me to keep going when no one else would.

Heyyy, I know I don't do this kinda stuff for a while by now, the last time was abt palestine ig? (Don't forget about palestine y'all)
But palestine is not the point of this post, I wanna talk about a tragedy that is happening on my country, Brazil, on a State called Rio Grande do Sul..
For those who don't know:Rio Grande do Sul is suffering the biggest tragedy ever seen in Brazil, because of the frequent heavy rains that are happening in the country, Rio Grande do Sul is suffering floods and flooding, all cities were affected and the water dams simply cannot handle everything. Seriously, the water level is VERY strong, MANY people were left homeless because their homes were FLOODED, do you realize what it's like to lose EVERYTHING overnight?
Not to mention how many people have DIED and are MISSING, when the water level drops, do you know what will be in the streets? Bodies. Bodies of people who were unable to save themselves. Citizens, police officers and the fire department are rescuing people and animals with CANOES, which soon become too full to hold more people, they are using helicopters to save people who are on the ROOF of their homes to save themselves, the situation is alarming..
Do you know the audio reports of people I heard? Do you know what people say on then? People who are volunteering to save others in canoes have many of their reports posted on tiktok or instagram, here is a very small part of what I heard:
"One of the children kept asking for a doll that was floating in the water... I went to get the doll, it wasn't, it was a baby, it was a dead baby."
"4 girls were on the roof, I went there and 2 of the girls said: 'You're going to take us all, right Mr?' So I said 'I will, I will' and one said: 'Take our little sisters too'... the girls were dead. . I didn't have the courage to leave their bodies there and I took them with us."
"I saw my dead dog floating in front of me, take care of Mark for me *the audio was cut off because the water interrupted.*"
Please, please boost this to help Rio Grande do Sul, please donate with as much as you can, it can be 54 cents, 1 dollar, 1 real, just please help the the people who were left homeless by the flood.

This is the Pix qr code to donate made by the State Government, but you can find many other donation links with just a little search, I'll try to post some of them with a reblog.

A lot of people here are helping how they can. Donations here are almost all done by Pix (a Brazilian form of payment that is fast and direct). I know pix does not exist in other countries, so I was searching for ways to help if you're not in Brazil so I could share here, since the majority of my followers are not Brazilians.
LINKS TO HELP:
1. Cozinha Solidária MTST:
2. Central Única das Favelas (CUFA):
donations via paypal: [email protected]
3. MST:
Any donation can help a lot! Please share this post so more people can help!
Thank you!

!!PEOPLE ARE DYING BECAUSE OF NATURAL DISASTERS IN MY STATE!!!
If you’ve seen the news of southern Brazil these last few days you know we’re having the worst climate disaster of the country’s history because of torrential rains and floods. More than half the state I live in are out of their homes because of the water. Many have died drowned to the point cities have bodies floating around.
Here are some articles:
I am privileged to live in a higher area, but many aren’t. I have friends who were deeply affected and have lost everything. Our airport is closed. The ways by land were badly damaged and is very precarious. Our cities are isolated without food, shelter or water. So I have to share with you some ways you can help even from far away…
Reminder: our currency is cheap, so even small donations make a difference!!!!!
PRIVATE INITIATIVES:
GoFundMe, I think only for Europe? It’s in Euros
GoFundMe in USD
Any currency:
DONNATE DIRECTLY TO THE STATE:
Euros, dollars or pund sterling:
(I don’t super recommend this one tho, volunteers and private initiative are doing a very good job to get donations and distribute them, our government is focused on stopping the water and relocating people as they should)
instagram
Any doubts or new information please contact me. ANY help is welcome!!!!
If you can’t donate money PLEASE help spread information! Like and share this post 🧡
