DHMIS doodle pages that I managed to cut and paste together and color! I personally like them a lot haha.
2nd doodle page is sorta inspired by @mariaisshiki ‘s piggyback trio drawings.
B/c it reminded me of the time I tried to carry my baby cousin on my back and I am SO short that even though I got her body off the ground, both her feet were still firmly on the floor. That memory was so horrific I had to project it onto the smallest one.

The Only Important Rule To Remember:
When there are only two characters remaining, they will face off against one another in a week-long poll to determine the victor.
AHSOKA! NO! Oh, it's a sad, sad day to be a xenophile. A moment of silence for everyone's favorite former feral padawan, and the sexiest tiger in the galaxy! If anyone needs me, I'll be spending the week crying into an 'I Am No Jedi' mug.
As always, this is your unbiased poll-master speaking.
...now, onto more pressing business...
This.
Is.
It.
Two women enter, only one can leave. They both stole the plans to The Death Star, and they both have enough attitude to fuel a Star Destroyer.
Will the winner be Leia Organa?
Tumblr media
Or will it be Jyn Erso?
Tumblr media
Cast your votes for the last time to decide, once and for all... who is the hottest Star Wars woman of all time?
...oh, but remember, this is all just for fun! So don't take it too seriously ;)
Happy voting, and may the hottest woman win!

Just imagining Baby Padawan Qui-Gon on a mission with Master Dooku and Yoda. Yoda is just hanging out on Dooku’s back, Dooku is like: “I thought I wouldn’t have to carry you around after I became a Knight” and Yoda’s like: “A Padawan’s duty it is, to support their Master. Carry each other, we do, as Master and Padawan. Insignificant your status is, my student I see you as always.” And Qui-Gon just has a realization.
Cut to later, after the mission is over, and Dooku notices Qui-Gon has been mulling over something. So, like a good Master, he’s like “What’s on your mind, Padawan?”
Qui-Gon hesitates, then asks, “Master, do you see me undependable?”
Dooku: “Of course not, Padawan.”
Qui-Gon: “Master, you don’t have to lie. Just tell me how I have to act to change your mind.”
Dooku: “You are very dependable, Qui-Gon, where is this coming from?”
Qui-Gon takes a deep breath: “You never ask me to carry you, Master.”
Dooku.exe: stops working
Dooku: “…what?”
Qui-Gon: “I know I’ve yet to reach your height, Master, but I assure you that I can lift you up! You don’t weigh that much, Master, I can carry you! You can depend on me, Master!”
Dooku: “…is this about the mission with Yoda?”
Qui-Gon: “Master Yoda said it’s a Padawan’s duty to support their Master. I can support your weight, Master, I promise.”
Dooku tries really hard to convince Qui-Gon that that is not what Yoda was talking about, that Yoda was teasing him, it wasn’t a literal thing, but Qui-Gon refuses to be convinced. Qui-Gon just gets more and more sad, convinced that Dooku doesn’t see him as someone he can lean on, and Dooku is like: “Qui-Gon, I am NOT going to make you carry me, you are twelVE-“ and Qui-Gon just: “You think I’ll drop you, you don’t trust me, how can I earn your trust, Master, I promise I can do it, please depend on me.” And Qui-Gon eventually gets his way, because Dooku is weak.
So we just see twelve-year-old Qui-Gon piggybacking Dooku around the temple. Qui-Gon is taking very slow steps and his tongue is stuck out in concentration because he has to partially lift his Master with the Force (Master Dooku is heavier than he looks, Qui-Gon thinks to himself) and everyone is staring at them because they’re very confused and Dooku is trying really hard to fight the urge to bury his face in his hands to hide.
They reach Yoda, eventually, who stops them and asks what’s up and Qui-Gon, positively beaming depsite the fact that he is trembling and sweaty and tired from carrying a grown man on his back for over an hour, just says: “You were right, Master Yoda. I realized on our mission that I’ve been making Master Dooku do all the carrying, so I decided to even the scale.”
And Yoda just looks at this cheerful boy and then looks at his old Padawan who is sending out very strong “don’t look at me” vibes in the Force and Yoda just says: “Good work you have done, Qui-Gon.” Because what else is there to say??? Qui-Gon looks so proud of himself! Yoda can’t admit he was trolling, not when Qui-Gon is so cheerful about learning from him!
All this to say, years later, Obi-Wan just drags a half-passed out Qui-Gon on his back, and it isn’t even really a piggyback because Qui-Gon is just draped over top of him, but Qui-Gon is like: “Wow, Obi-Wan. I didn’t even have to ask you, you just knew about this, you really did your research” and Obi-Wan is like “??? Yes, Master, I read the briefing for the mission, you said you weren’t going to, one of us had to-“
And years more later, Force Ghost Qui-Gon watches Anakin casually sling Obi-Wan over his shoulder and Qui-Gon just smiles and is like “I knew it. He really was meant to be a Jedi.”
And more years, more later, Ahsoka is dragging Anakin the same way Obi-Wan dragged Qui-Gon and Qui-Gon is SO proud!!!
Even longer, after everything’s gone to shit, and Luke is carrying around Yoda (he never got the chance to carry around Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon understands) and Qui-Gon is super pleased and Obi-Wan is like “???”
Qui-Gon: “Padawans are supposed to carry their Masters, just as their Masters carry them.”
Obi-Wan: “Yes, I remember hearing that as well, as a youngling, but I think it was supposed to be metaphorically.”
Qui-Gon: “That’s impossible, Obi-Wan. Dooku allowed me to carry him around.”
Obi-Wan: “…”
Obi-Wan, internally: So Dooku was the reason Qui-Gon randomly demanded to be carried… I would say I can’t believe this, but it’s Dooku, so I can.
(Then, Luke eventually trains Grogu for a little bit, and Qui-Gon is like: “ :0 Luke, no!!! He’s supposed to carry you!!!” And Luke is like: “??? He’s a baby.”
Qui-Gon: “I carried my Master when I was twelve :/ “
Yoda: “Determind you were.”
Qui-Gon: “You have to let him carry you, Luke, or else this just won’t work out!”
Grogu eventually ends up leaving and Qui-Gon is still muttering about how it never would have happened of Luke had just listened to him. Luke has mastered the art of tuning Qui-Gon out. Obi-Wan and Yoda wish they could do the same…
So, when Luke starts teaching Rey or someone, as his actual Padawan instead of just a student like the others, Qui-Gon is like: 👀
Luke: “No.”
Qui-Gon: 😔
And, long story short, Rey carries around Master Skywalker, at first because it made it much easier to make fun of him for being short, but then because Rey just finds it easier to get Luke to do things if she is physically carrying him to the thing he has to do.
Qui-Gon is so proud of them. Obi-Wan is so tired. Yoda wonders if he regrets inadvertently teaching Qui-Gon this, then remembers how absolutely mortified Dooku was whenever Qui-Gon piggybacked him around and Yoda decides that it was actually the best lesson he had ever inadvertently taught in his life.)

Rey...A Mary Sue?
When it comes to the Star Wars fanbase.....Disney is the maker of many of their own problems. Disney has blown things out of proportion. They've attacked their own fanbase and then hidden behind that very slander to avoid criticism. They haven't honored the very audience they seek to make a lot of money from, not to mention the franchise. They've bounced around between visions trying to please everyone and then pleased no one.
However, the Star Wars fanbase is also to blame for many of their quarrels, grips and dissatisfactions with the franchise. Oh, you don't like the corporatized Disney sequels? Well I remember you didn't like the prequels which George Lucas actually did them. Disney sequels are too comedic? The movies would've been better if there was less humor? Well the prequels were too whiny, political and serious.
It's not enough that Disney films are more diverse, have a female lead and have more females on the production side..... unless those characters are saying, doing and being portrayed exactly how the fanbase would like.......then Disney is still misogynistic and racist.
Tumblr media
Carrie Fisher, The Princess, faced sexism, ageism and body shaming from both Disney and the Star Wars fandom prior to returning for The Force Awakens. Since he passing obviously many people would like to forget about this or flat out bury it.
Carrie Fisher tells British Good Housekeeping that she was pressured to lose more than 35 pounds to reprise Princess Leia in The Force Awakens: “They don’t want to hire all of me — only about three-quarters! Nothing changes, it’s an appearance-driven thing. I’m in a business where the only thing that matters is weight and appearance."
She first donned that golden slave bikini when she was 27. Thirty years later, Carrie Fisher’s back as Leia in “Star Wars,” but apparently some viewers thought she’d look exactly the same. The 59-year-old actor was the unfortunate recipient of a barrage of hateful tweets from critics who felt the need to tell her she’s aged badly in the past three decades. She Tweeted, "Men don't age better than women, they're just allowed to age." Meanwhile, Harrison Ford looked old and Mark Hamill looked liked a drunk.
Tumblr media
All of this is to say the question of whether or nor Rey is a Mary Sue isn't a simple one. While Disney LucasFilm didn't develop the character as well as they could have.... the audience largely had double standards. Rey, as a woman, had more work to do to win over an audience already suspicious of the feminization of Star Wars.
Let's address the criticism
Why does Rey seem so skilled?
Rey works for Unkar Plott scavenging. It would make sense she understands engineering and mechanics. She has to understand how things work, which parts are valuable and understand that about multiple forms of machinery. How does she fly? Just fly, not even combat fly. If in her introduction she was shown to be flying commercially maybe people would've let it go, I'm not sure. Luke and Anakin by contrast turn out to be expert pilots who fight in combat..... no one questioned a thing and one of them is a child. When she initially flies the Falcon she does an alright job and in the three sequels films we never see her fly in combat. Finn never learned how to fly!!!! He famously needed a pilot, yet, got a crash course in The Last Jedi enough to fly at the end against the First Order. She speaks droid, but all our protagonist in Star Wars do. Someone has to be able to understand them.
Tumblr media
Rey has no flaws and she's so perfect.
No, actually she's not. Rey is extremely vulnerable, lonely and requires validation. She fears she's gonna be an old woman cleaning gear on Jakku, but she doesn't leave. The only character she really relates and connects to.... is the villain. Yes, she's likable and she's suppose to be because she's our protagonist. Who the hell finds fault with either the character or the production team for trying to make their main character likeable?! Other characters are attracted to her. It's important to note that most force users come off as charismatic, magical and attractive.
Does Rey have a personality?
Yes. Many people get held up on the fact that Rey seems to be bubbly and happy despite growing up in isolation in a tough environment. Initially, with Finn, she comes off pretty hostile and untrusting. It was only when she assumed he was resistance (something safe) and he went along with the assumption that she relaxed a bit. She responded with anger at him just grabbing her hand, but when he showed concern for her then she reciprocated. Neither Finn nor Rey have proper social development which explains why they latch onto one another. Not to mention both are outsiders thrown into pivotal roles without much concept on how to deal with those roles.
Rey is also very childlike. It's something Kylo Ren tries to push her out of. She waits around for her family for years. She licks plates and plays with the resistance helmet. She latches onto people. She latches onto Finn once she trust him. She latches onto Han perceiving him as an ideal father figure. When she forms a connection to Kylo Ren she latches onto him. She's loyal to the people and things she cares about. There were things that could have helped Rey become a fuller developed character. Rey can fight but we never learned WHY she learned how to fight. Has she been stolen from a lot? Has she been attacked? Was she trained? Rey was taken at a young age, what schooling did she receive? Did she just learn trade work? In the novels, her character is obviously developed more, but Lord! People really act like any oversight of character development was a feminist statement about perfection. In reality, it was a film trying to balance multiple characters in a 2.5 hour film.
Tumblr media
Rey doesn't have any training and yet is so magical with the Force.
Rey is assisted by The Force. Force users can use the force with very little understanding of it or training. Anakin as a 9 year old is just winging it. So there's that. Now the first time she encounters Kylo Ren, she's terrified and running/shooting for her life. When he force freezes her she's helpless. When he puts her to sleep with the force, she has to be rescued by men.
Now this is the most important. Her bond with Kylo Ren is one of the reasons she's able to access more of and learn about the force. "A Force dyad, also known as a dyad in the Force, was when two Force-sensitive beings had a unique Force-bond—that was unbreakable—that made them one in the Force. The power of a dyad was as strong as life itself, with the individuals forming the dyad sharing a connection that spanned across time and space."
They don't play this up enough in the movies. In the novels it's clear that their minds bridge. She's able to access Kylo's mind from understanding how he accessed her mind. Their bond boost both of their strengths in the force. It's important to note that Rey's abilities actually terrify her.
Tumblr media
Rey knows more about the Falcon than Han Solo.
She explained that Unkar Plott installed a compressor which Rey was aware of and both Han and Rey agreed put stress on the hyperdrive. After her assistance bypassing the compressor Han is firming in control of The Falcon.
Tumblr media
She beat Kylo Ren at the end of the Force Awakens despite never holding a light saber.
Well, I agree with this one. Kylo Ren wasn't trying to kill her. He was sparring with him and testing her talents. If he wanted to kill her, there was a convenient cliff he could've pushed her over. He wants to train her and he wants her.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Daisy Ridley is a talented and charismatic actress.... she just isn't recognized for it. The fandom looks for flaws, weaknesses and reasons to complain. I don't want to take away anything from the males in Star Wars. I want them to be great. Honestly A Song of Fire and Ice is how I'd like to see more men and women written. Some are good, some are bad, some are great, some are horrific and all are flawed.

GOD, seeing a Dream Team film adaptation tackle the Dream's Deep sequence would be such a stab to the heart, especially since it would have to also focus on Mario's reactions to Luigi's innermost thoughts
OH GOODNESS. The raw emotion that could be drawn upon from that moment 💗
Here's the thing: the Bros know each other so well. That is the important thing to keep in mind. There is no doubt in my mind that they have seen each other's good and bad sides; held each other through the worst times.
Mario knows that Luigi does have self doubt, lacks some confidence, and is clumsy - but he loves his brother regardless because he knows Luigi wants to work through it, and has so much good in him. The flaws are just a part of what makes Luigi, his other half, his brother.
However, it's one thing to know this about a person, but it's another thing to actually see it.
Dream's Deep is an emotional place for those of us who have witnessed it first-hand; I can only imagine how it would be if they adapted it into movie form:
Mario just taking in everything Luigi is thinking and feeling. His own brother's thoughts swirling around him, everything from his own pep talks to how much he loves Mario.
And Mario can feel everything. He already has a pure spiritual link to his brother...but in Dream's Deep it's like it's all become a part of him. He clasps his hand to his mouth, overwhelmed by everything he is seeing and sensing. His brother is embracing him in his dreams, and Mario just wants nothing more than to finish up as fast as possible so he can hold his brother tight, physically hold him, and never let go.
And after Dream's Deep, while travelling to the next place, Mario catches his brother's eye. Luigi knows how much Dream's Deep affected Mario. What they have both seen and been through there was heavy stuff, and they need to compose themselves and each other.
They stop, and without even saying a word they hug each other so tight, foreheads pressed together. They don't even care who's watching. They need to get this out. They need to tell each other via a loving touch that they are here for each other, no matter what. They're ok. This will never drive them apart. Nothing ever will. ❤️️💚
Luigi knows this hug is mostly for Mario...
It always bothered me that after Dream's Deep, in the game, the Bros never talk about the experience. Not even a hug after....
I want raw, human emotion. That's the good stuff.

Leia Organa in Obi Wan Kenobi is the best thing
Okay I'm bringing this back because Leia in Kenobi has been reducted (by some fans) to “Leia and Anakin & Padme parallels” only.
When Leia in Obi Wan Kenobi has so much meaning, so much dept, so much importance than just being the rhyme of Anakin and Padme.
Her arc: Leia through all the episodes is just her taking her parents advices to the heart.
“There are many ways to lead, Leia, you just have to find yours” —Bail Organa
Tumblr media
Then sh*t happens and Leia is dragged through this crussade with Obi Wan and she indeed finds many ways how she can become a leader and ends up adapting it into her own way of leadership.
Tumblr media
“You get out what you put into it” —Breha Organa
Tumblr media
In all this Leia, little by little, realize that she just needs will and effort to make a real change and help, everything else will come alone.
Tumblr media
We can see such a beautiful arc in this 10 year old Leia Organa. She started as a little girl who doesn't know exactly what to do in general (not in a bad way, just normal doubt as anyone at any age could have), she seems a little bit conflicted about how to get to do things because she still pretty young and of course is understandable, but she ends up understanding her parents words, that she just needs to watch carefuly to what happens around and start taking steps.
Her arc in Kenobi keep beautifully proving that Leia is the best character in Star Wars.
Also this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her future: Bail and Breha's words being some kind of look into Leia's future and who she will become in a few years.
When Bail says “She's as important as he is” he's not overreacting, he's complete and absolubtly right, she became one of the most important members of the rebelion before and again after Bail and Breha's death, she striked the Empire down, she also mastered the force just like Luke, she was the one to bring the last (blood) Skywalker back to the light and who trained Rey and help her become the great jedi she became by the end of TROS.
When Bail tells her “you’ll probably be one of the best [senators]” again right, she became just as famous and respected senator like her father before her, she worked so hard alongside Mon Mothma to rebuild the Republic and she was one of the few to point the weakness and mistakes of it, the only one who really attacked the first order in the Senate.
When Breha says “I know who she's like” she's joking with Bail, telling him Leia is just like him, and she's quite right, because Leia is just the perfect mash up of them both, she really is just as much as Breha as she is just like Bail, she really took her leadership from both, being the one to found and fund the Resistence 30 years after the Rebelion and the Empire, being one of the strategic brains just like her father and leading with wisdom just like her mother.
Bonus: Obi Wan Kenobi saying Leia is the future of the galaxy, of the Rebelion, he was completly right
The deepening: the development of her relationship with Obi Wan is beautiful and it just adds so much depp not only to A New Hope but also to Leia naming her only son after him
